The 1/31 Nuke: Proof for Ron Paul
By Captain Eric H. May - Military Correspondent

Many citizens who have read my recent columns about false flag attempts in the East Texas oil patch have urged me to contact Congressman Paul with details.  A fair number of them believe that it was the Bush administration’s design on his own Texas Congressional District 14 that prompted his presidential bid.

TARFUSI and Absurdity

by Tony Pivetta

DIGG THIS

It was a simpler time. Al Gore had yet to invent the Internet. Daringly opinionated people still revered Abraham Lincoln. The godless Communists – not Islamic extremists – were the Implacable Enemy With Whom No Compromise Is Possible. So implacable, in fact, that the CIA for years had been merrily arming, funding and training Islamic extremists – the current Implacable Enemy With Whom No Compromise Is Possible – to repel those same godless Communists from a Muslim nation they had invaded and were brutally occupying. Most notably, negative campaigning, not subtleties positing causative links between freelance terrorism and the National Greatness variety, sparked the heated controversy of the day.

As Libertarian Party candidate, Congressman Ron Paul hardly made a splash in the presidential campaign of 1988, receiving about one-half of one percent of the popular vote.

Will Ron Paul Disappoint Me?

In the early, rural primaries and caucuses, Ron Paul has achieved very weak results. Sure, he took second place in Nevada (misrepresented on some news pages) and is practically guaranteed to sweep his home state of Texas, and has gotten ten to even fourteen percent of the votes in some states, but no matter how you slice it, this is not a favorable omen when the leading candidates are pulling numbers in the thirty percent range.

29/01/08 “Dissident Voice ” — – I am not one to easily embrace conspiracy theories, and in particular have found the idea that 9-11 was somehow an inside job too incredible for serious consideration. On the other hand, there are some very fishy aspects to some officials’ behavior pertaining to the attacks. Justin Raimondo has made a very good case for the fact that Mossad agents posing as “Israeli art students” were tracking al-Qaeda operatives in the U.S. before 9/11.

Key beer ingredient in short supply for state’s craft brewing industry

Joel J. Smith / The Detroit News

Michigan’s 70 microbreweries are over a barrel.

It’s not because they can’t find anyone to drink their suds. Michiganians swill down at least 90,000 barrels a year of the customized brews.

The problem is the beermakers can’t find hops, a key ingredient of beer, at any price.

Only the most Panglossian Republican die-hard would not recognize the Republican party is in serious trouble. Regardless of whether one supports the war or not, it is pretty clear that Republicans are losing favor due to the war and the effect that war spending is having on the economy. Nine times out of ten, you’ll hear some mutterings like: “He’s really conservative” or “We need a Christian in the White House” or “He’s the best qualified.” Ask for some specifics and you’re likely to see eyes shift downward as the subject is changed.

The truth of the matter is, most people are woefully uninformed and are buying the lying of ‘front-runner’ candidates and their media sock puppets.

The issuing power of money should be taken from banks and restored to Congress and the people to whom it belongs. I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money, are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

There are always consequences. If you aren’t prepared to deal with them, then you’re better off buying pepper spray and a pair of running shoes.”

“Secondly, learn to use your gun. That means lots of practice. If an attack comes, it will come unexpectedly and suddenly, and you won’t have time to fumble around wondering where the safety catch is. Always shoot to kill.”

Here assembled before the television cameras were the leaders and the principles of those medieval and Machiavellian Courts of Privilege that once attended to the whims of Kings and Conquerors. Last night’s version of this gathering of the dead and dying only clarified the key challenge before the populace today.

There are a couple of ways that you might categorize people in politics. One brand is characterized by idealists who believe in what they are doing, advocating for the principles in which they believe. The second brand isn’t as concerned with principle; to them idealism is a means to personal power, a way to speak to people looking for a leader. They are especially sanctimonious about their beliefs and are particularly quick to denounce those who disagree with them as being morally bankrupt crooks. It is why they are attracted to religion; it gives them justification.

And while the U.S. may get out of Iraq, a new Democratic Administration could lead to more U.S. military intervention around the world, a bigger Army, and even a military draft.
