7 Insane Conspiracies That Actually Happened

|
People love a good conspiracy theory. The JFK assassination plot, aliens crash landing at Roswell, the 9/11 truth movement and charges of government surveillance are all an indelible part of our pop culture landscape and are by and large, total bullshit. So where does your average conspiracy buff go to learn about shadowy plots that aren’t pure tinfoil hattery? Look no further. |

State Of The American Presidency In Limbaugh By Ted Lang
State Of The American Presidency In Limbaugh

That there isn’t a modicum of difference between the two American political parties is now, more than ever, painfully obvious. I have offered this view ad nauseum. And should there still be any doubt, all one has to do is to not only consider the dangerously low approval level of George W. Bush, but the even lower level of approval the American people have regarding the performance of Congress. It has become obvious as well is that Congress is irrelevant we have returned to a single ruler monarchy.

WORLDVIEWS ON TRIAL
WORLDVIEWS ON TRIAL
Part 1 of 4

A favorite boutique outfits its dressing rooms with flattering lights and what my sister and I laughingly call “skinny mirrors.” Add to the ambiance a fawning sales staff, and women can’t resist shopping there. For many, the illusion of looking younger and somewhat trimmer trumps the reality of “lumps and puffs” indicating otherwise!
The same rings true when it comes to worldviews that stroke the ego or promise special privilege. Rather than embrace stark biblical reality of their sinfulness and personal accountability to a holy God, some concede reality to the skewed, though self-pleasing reflection of a preferred worldview to the contrary.
IT’S GOOD TO BE THE KING

It’s good to be the King,
Sitting up on high,
Not meat, nor bread, nor gasoline,
Does His Majesty buy.
His worries may seem many,
But really they are not.
You see its others near him,
Who scheme and plan and plot.

“A noble heart cannot suspect in others the pettiness and malice that it has never felt.” — Jean Racine
Attorney General Michael Mukasey has refused to refer the House’s contempt citations against two of President Bush’s top aides to a federal grand jury. White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former presidential counsel Harriet Miers committed no crime according to Mukasey…and frankly Congress knew that already.
HILLARY’S SCHEME TO REVAMP THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY

Hillary Clinton’s personal life has long made a mockery of traditional family values – her betrothal to a serial womanizer, the refusal to have a traditional wedding, and her smears of the females who later accused her husband of sexual impropriety.
HOW TO DESTROY A NATION

While looking through an old issue of Pastor Butch Pugh’s MINUTEMAN NEWS (www.pastorbutch.com), I ran across a six page article explaining how to “destroy a nation.” The author left no signature so I cannot give credit that is due for this exceptionally great piece. Since space in the Chronicle is limited, I picked the most important aspects to share with you.

The liberals have come up with a clever way of ratifying dangerous treaties, which now require a two-thirds vote (67) to pass in the Senate. They will introduce them as legislation, requiring only a majority vote to pass. The model for this new approach is the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which President Bush mistakenly refers to as a treaty.

Reports that Ron Paul has quit the Presidential Race remind me of Mark Twain’s famous quote, “Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” The Ron Paul Presidential campaign continues, albeit at a different pace.

Could Hillary Bequeath Us Our Long-Awaited Third Party?
A Not-So-Simple Twist of Fate:
Could Hillary Bequeath Us Our Long-Awaited Third Party?
By David Michael Green
07/03/08 “ICH” — – Oh boy. Where have I seen this movie before? I think it was four years, surprisingly enough. Hey, what a coincidence! Wasn’t there a presidential election going on back then, too?
Remember how Howard Dean came out of near total obscurity, how he started walloping the presumptive front-runner, John “Fearless” Kerry, by taking bold positions (at least in the context of American politics) against the war, and against George W. Bush? Remember how Kerry changed his tune to ape Dean’s message, and how nervous Democratic voters played it safe and came home to the guy with the experience and the name brand? Remember what an outstandingly effective candidate he then turned out to be? Remember the “real deal”? (Oh, and what a deal it was. I think experienced card players refer to that hand as a ‘jack-shit straight, seven high’, if I’m not mistaken.)
