Whatever your expectations for Ron Paul’s book The Revolution: A Manifesto, I can say with confidence that they have been exceeded. By a mile.
Ron Paul has produced the kind of book that changes the person who reads it. It is one of the most persuasively argued and beautifully written defenses of the free society I have ever encountered. No president, no presidential candidate, indeed no American politician has ever written anything like this. But that is such faint praise, and such an unjust understatement, that I almost regret uttering it.
From the first page of this book to the last, Ron Paul tells his fellow Americans things that – if the usual political and media fare we are offered is any indication – they are not supposed to hear. As I’ve said in another context, Ron Paul’s The Revolution: A Manifesto is, to the establishment, rather like the man who shouts out in the middle of the show how the magician is really sawing the woman in half.
What does it cover? Oh, just the Constitution, war, terrorism, the economy, trade, civil liberties, the war on drugs, the dollar, gold, abortion, executive orders, taxation, the housing bubble, the Federal Reserve, education, health care, the environment, conservatism, entitlements, foreign aid, regulation, and presidential war powers.

IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD
By Betty Freauf
April 30, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
When we first began to hear the phrase “In the Best Interest of the Child” we thought it was a noble concept that protected the vulnerable children by removing them from abusive or negligent parents; yet it also has led to levels of intervention unimaginable a few decades ago and suddenly many people were being accused of child abuse. Child Protective Services (CPS), because of something a child may have said to a teacher or written in an essay, which may even have been misconstrued, was kidnapping children at schools.

Constitution Party candidate says U.S. sovereignty at risk
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | April 29, 2008 | Bob Unruh

The Constitution Party candidate for president says the biggest danger America faces is from Washington, D.C., not Tehran or Baghdad, and that he would jump at the opportunity to cut it down to size.
“I really believe that our nation is fast becoming a nation that does not respect the freedoms and liberties that this country was founded upon,” Chuck Baldwin told WND in an exclusive one-on-one interview today. “George Bush’s Patriot Act … in essence eviscerated the Fourth Amendment and did serious damage to other amendments in the Bill of Rights. I do believe that this burgeoning North American Union that Dr. Corsi has written so much about … is a real threat to our national sovereignty and our national independence.”
Baldwin, picked the party’s candidate recently at its national convention in Kansas City over the higher-profile Ambassador Alan Keyes, is the founder and pastor of Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla. He also hosts a weekly radio program called “Chuck Baldwin Live” and he serves as a columnist whose political commentaries are carried by a number of websites, newspapers and magazines.

Getting to Know John McCain [MUST READ!]
The Wall Street Journal ^ | April 30, 2008 | Karl Rove
Posted on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 01:07:11 by 2ndDivisionVet
It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day. The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.
As we ate near the Days’ home in Florida recently, I heard things about Sen. McCain that were deeply moving and politically troubling. Moving because they told me things about him the American people need to know. And troubling because it is clear that Mr. McCain is one of the most private individuals to run for president in history.
When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to know more about him personally than he has been willing to reveal.
Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, “I told you I would make you a cripple.”

BRAINWASHED SEALS
by Alan Stang
April 30, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
Recently, we looked at the Rules of Engagement under which our military must labor. We saw that those rules are a prescription for defeat; that they are the main reason we have failed to win a war since World War II, and that el presidente Jorge W. Boosh administers them today. We saw that Señor Boosh could replace them whenever he likes with a prescription for victory, but of course he does not, because victory is the last thing he wants.
One of the examples we looked at was Operation Redwing, in which Boosh’s Rules of Engagement led directly to the deaths of nineteen of our men, three members of a four-man Navy SEAL team and the sixteen men who choppered in to rescue them. Today, let’s take a closer look.

The name “false flag” comes from the old pirate’s ruse of flying another country’s flag during an attack, thereby shifting blame for the attack to a party that had nothing to do with it. Governments use false flag attacks to push their nations into dictatorship or war. As military experts, we fear that national terror drills, scheduled for May 1-8, could be used to camouflage a false flag attack in the United States.

Truckers’ Strike in D.C. * Completely Ineffective
Today frustrated independent truckers are circling parts of Washington D.C., slowing down traffic, and trying to make a statement that they need some relief on the artificially and unnecessarily high gas prices.
The goal of the criminals a few miles away at the FED are trying to drive all of these independent truckers out of business, on the way to controlling the American people by FOOD and FOOD shortages.
I sympathize, or course, completely – but like the rest of America, the truckers are reacting in a totally ineffective way. (Don’t get me wrong – it’s good they are showing SOME resistance, but let’s ALL start doing WHAT will be devastatingly effective by 2010. In fact, it will be effective NOW if we will all start loudly announcing that we are doing it. Doing what?

GOP Crooks Cheat Ron Paul out of Delegates in Nevada
It’s just come over the news that last night Ron Paul supporters (normal, alert Americans) outnumbered McCain supporters (NeoCons shills, many too dumb to know it) and the Nevada Republican Party Officials (crooks and hatchet men for the criminal NeoCons in New York City and Washington D.C.).
A disgusting GOP thug named State Senator Bob Beers shut down the Nevada state convention rather than let the Ron Paul supporters take a majority of the delegates to the National Convention. (Some are saying Ron Paul state delegates were about to elect ALL of the delegates to the National Convention.)

Chapter 6: Was Lincoln a Dictator?
5. Lincoln’s Unconstitutional Secession
Lincoln did not oppose secession as long as it served his purposes. In fact, he orchestrated the secession of western Virginia and set up a puppet government in the new state.
Lincoln ’s attorney general (Edwin Bates) believed that act was unconstitutional. He believed that states must first exist before they can be accepted into the union and that neither the president nor congress could create a state for that was something only its people could do.

- I am a physician and AIDS researcher who has authored two books on the man-made origin of HIV/AIDS (”AIDS & THE DOCTORS OF DEATH: AN INQUIRY INTO THE ORIGIN OF THE AIDS EPIDEMIC” and “QUEER BLOOD: THE SECRET AIDS GENOCIDE PLOT.”).
-
- On the eve of the Blue Moon of May 31, 2007, I was sent the most explosive email I have ever received concerning possible insider evidence pertaining to the man-made epidemic of AIDS. The communication was sent by Sue Arrigo, M.D., who claimed she was a physician licensed in California (G50197). Because her email (attached below) was so mind-blowing, I immediately googled Arrigo and found several entries including a note on one website in which Arrigo claimed to have been kidnapped, raped and threatened with death in 2004 (this was NOT mentioned in her email to me). In addition, I checked online and verified that she was indeed a licensed CA physician, although her license expired in December, 2006, and her current residence is in Canada.

In Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, “men of the mind” – the innovators and technologists who improve and maintain our civilization – become so disgusted with socialism and elitism that they quit. The mythical Atlas, who carries the world on his back, shrugged.
Ayn Rand erred, however, in that she misunderstood the depth of love that true scientists, engineers, and technologists have for their work. In the decades since Ayn Rand wrote this classic novel, socialism in the United States has steadily risen and freedom has greatly diminished – especially for technologists. Oppressive government taxation, regulation, and litigation have reached levels that Ayn Rand could only dimly have imagined.

April 23, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
We could say that we are discussing Gun Rights, but what we are really elaborating is the concept of all liberty in this country.
In various essays, co-author John Longenecker has written that the second amendment is an indicator of the health of all other rights in this country. In essays, co-author Howard Nemerov has discredited many claims of the gun control movement as misleading, wildly emotional, off-topic, or outright wrong. In general, in a time when the armed citizen is becoming a nationwide topic for guns on campus, newsbreaks of armed citizens interrupting a violent crime, and with a gun ban case now before the Supreme Court [D.C. v. Heller], the subject is conspicuous by its absence among the 2008 Presidential Candidates. In fact, among the remaining three Presidential candidates, only Barack Obama has spoken on the armed citizen, and he is for gun control. Of course, what the candidates are really ducking is many, many citizen rights married to the armed citizen, including personal safety, citizen oversight of officials, and specific citizen authority to refuse dependency on official agencies as gun control eliminates.
Brokered Dependency is the new commerce of the new millennium. Independence is its cure. Hiding citizen authority is essential to the growth of Dependency in America.

I was born into a working class union family. My dad, a factory worker in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, was a member of the United Mine Workers for as long as I can remember. He worked for Union Carbide until greedy tax-a-crats in Chippewa County taxed Carbide into a quick retreat from Michigan, shouting, “That’s enough!” Carbide closed the plant in the mid-1960s, putting some 400 men out of work. Dad had enough time in that he was promised an equivalent job in Marietta, Ohio where he could work until he filed for retirement. He was a “pulverizer attendant” in Michigan and a “sweeper” in Ohio. It wasn’t equivalent, the pay was not equal, but it saved his pension and that’s all Dad was concerned about when he took the job.

Colorado State legislator Kathleen Curry slipped sideways in her saddle with indignation this week when Representative Douglas Bruce said, “We don’t need 5,000 more illiterate peasants in Colorado.”
Her wig twisted into a twit; her lipstick blushed; her stateliness soared to the capitol ceiling; and her trigger finger slammed down on the gavel. “You’re finished at the podium,” Curry snarled. “How dare you!”
At that moment, Clint Eastwood, smoking a thin cheroot, strode with jangling spurs into the Colorado State Capitol. With a glint in his eye and one hand on his six-shooter, he faced Curry, “A woman’s got to know her limitations if she’s gonna’ lead a bunch of cow punchers.”

Something happened in the campaign for President last week that turned my stomach, which is not easy to do after more than forty years in the battle for America. Erstwhile and would-be First Daughter Chelsea Clinton was campaigning in Philadelphia for her maternal incubator.
Philadelphia, birthplace of the nation, home of Rocky Balboa, the Italian Stallion, is now run by faggots. Remember that Philadelphia faggots attacked some Christian evangelists at a demonstration a while back; the Christians were arrested and threatened with life in prison.
Chelsea was touring night spots frequented by buggers and bull dykes when the incident occurred. Why was she doing that? Is she a dyke herself? We don’t know. We don’t know whether her mother, the First Feminoid, is a dyke. It doesn’t matter. We do know that rumors and accusations to that effect – one man even wrote a book about it – reached such a crescendo that Hillary publicly denied them.

For the past week I have been standing by my friend, John Freshwater, a public school teacher who has been ordered by the Mount Vernon City Schools to remove his own personal Bible from his desk.
The students turned out en masse to support this popular science teacher. The ACLU has done all that they can do to scare everyone.
Yesterday the school board switched tactics. Because the public uproar in support of Mr. Freshwater was so great they decided it was time to pull out the smoke and mirrors. They knew that they had made a huge overreach, so to cover their own rear-ends they decided to attack the credibility of Mr. Freshwater. It is a classic attempt to divide and conquer.

With the exception of approximately 128,188 Americans who voted for Congressman Ron Paul in the PA primary, the other 2.7 million voters cast their endorsement for liars, crooks and more big government. Two things that were not mentioned by any of the cable news networks who blatantly censor the truth, is the alleged 91,211 votes cast for Pastor Huckabee who dropped out of the race, March 4, 2008 – a full seven WEEKS before this primary. Pennsylvania is not California in population and it seems to me the State of Pennsylvania had plenty of time to get accurate ballots to the voters – meaning ballots with only legitimate candidates on it. Oh, that’s right. We’re supposed to believe almost 92,000 people wasted their vote on a non candidate as some sort of protest or support vote. What nonsense. Oh, wait a minute! The numbers used Tuesday night as winners on all the cable networks has now changed several times then. Ron Paul is now at 128, 431. Who knows what it will be when the “final” results are certified. What a hoax.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to deflect a question about his relationship with terrorist Bill Ayers by saying that he “engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8-years-old” and that he was now a professor and a neighbor. The real issue is whether Obama shares Ayers’ communist views. Obama admitted to exchanging ideas with Ayers on an irregular basis but did not say what those ideas were. But we know that Ayers, rather than just being a 1960s “radical,” was a member of a Marxist-Leninist communist group.

Illuminating the Occult Origin of Darwinism
As antiquity gave way to modern history, the religious power structure shifted to an autocracy of the knowable, or a ’scientific dictatorship.’ Subtly and swiftly, the ruling class seized control of science and used it as an ‘epistemological weapon’ against the masses. This article will show that the history and background of this ’scientific dictatorship’ is a conspiracy, created and micro-managed by the historical tide of Darwinism, which has its foundations in Freemasonry.

The U.S. resisted war, even after the devised Lusitania incident on May 7, 1915 when 785 out of 1,257 passengers perished, 128 of them Americans.[1] Several months before that ill-fated voyage, Winston Churchill, a Rothschild minion, described the Lusitania as “45,000 tons of live bait.”[2] Were the 3,000 in the Rockefeller-built twin towers in Manhattan on September 11, 2001 also “live bait” leading to yet another genocidal assault?

In his book The Future of an Illusion, Sigmund Freud said of religion and morality,
“It would be an undoubted advantage if we were to leave God out altogether and admit the purely human origins of all the precepts and regulations of civilization.”
In making this statement, Freud weighed in on one of life’s most important questions: What is the nature of right and wrong? Is it real, something existing apart from man, a reflection of Absolute Truth, of God’s will? Or is it, in accordance with the atheist model, merely a product of mortal minds and thus synonymous with consensus opinion? Freud made it clear he believed the latter.
While many may debate Freud’s influence over modern psychology, there is no doubt that the atheism and moral relativism he espoused reign in it. This is not to say there aren’t exceptions. There is the American Association of Christian Counselors, and many people will speak glowingly of positive experiences with Christian therapists. And, while I myself would never have need of such services (although some of my critics may beg to differ), I have had the pleasure of corresponding with an individual of this stripe, author, speaker and family psychologist John Rosemond, a man traditional to the core. Yet, in just the way we refer to the Founding Fathers’ ideology as “classical liberalism” so as to distinguish it from the modern variety, there is a reason why we use a modifier and call such people “Christian Counselors”: They are not the norm.

Constitution Party stunner: Chuck Baldwin KOs firebrand Alan Keyes
Convening its national convention in Kansas City today, the Constitution Party picked radio talk-show host Chuck Baldwin over former Ambassador Alan Keyes as its 2008 presidential candidate.
The pick was seen as something of an upset, given Keyes’ higher national profile. Known for his fiery stem-winders, Keyes is a two-time GOP presidential candidate who abandoned the Republican Party this month to join the Constitution Party, which believes in limited government and is committed to ending abortion and bringing American troops home from Iraq.

The historical evidence is that the Founding Fathers were highly protective of a strict construction of the Constitution. Ethanol’s Failed Promise

Tuesday, April 22, 2008; A19
The willingness to try, fail and try again is the essence of scientific progress. The same sometimes holds true for public policy. It is in this spirit that today, Earth Day, we call upon Congress to revisit recently enacted federal mandates requiring the diversion of foodstuffs for production of biofuels. These “food-to-fuel” mandates were meant to move America toward energy independence and mitigate global climate change. But the evidence irrefutably demonstrates that this policy is not delivering on either goal. In fact, it is causing environmental harm and contributing to a growing global food crisis.

More on the Pope’s Visit
Posted by Thomas DiLorenzo at April 23, 2008 01:26 AM
Since the Pope’s visit to the U.S. is still being discussed here, I thought I’d mention a sneaky act of propaganda, courtesy of the Bush regime, that I caught on my car radio right before leaving the country for ten days. A local radio station broadcast the ceremony for the Pope at the White House. The part of it that I heard was a men’s chorus singing the Hymn to Mass Murdering Our Fellow Citizens, also sometimes referred to as the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Apart from questioning the propriety of singing a war anthem to the Pope, several words of the Hymn were especially obnoxious to me. These are the words that express perfectly the Jacobin ideology that animated the Lincoln regime at the time, and which define the neocons who today run the government. These words are: “He [Jesus Christ] died to make men holy; let us die to make men free.”
Of course very few, if any, Northern soldiers in the 1860s joined the U.S. Army so that they could die to “make men free.” That’s the ex post propaganda that American school children have been brainwashed with ever since then. Today, entire books are written by AEI neocons such as Walter Berns (”Making Patriots”)that urge America’s youth to volunteer to die to “make men free” in, well, in any country the neocons happen to be unhappy with at the time. And oh yes, the people who write such songs, and urge our young people to sing them and follow their advice, NEVER include themselves and THEIR families in the word “us,” as in Let “us” die . . .

- The AIPAC espionage scandal has dragged on for years. Israeli spies and criminals, American Israel Public Affairs Committee lobby notables, Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman, were caught red-handed by dedicated, loyal, FBI agents not under the direct control of Zionist loyal-only-to-Israel traitor FBI supervisors crawling all over the criminal Cheney-Bush gangster administration. Dedicated FBI agents exposed these two arch criminal spies and traitors. And of course, arch Zionist criminal, Abraham the Fox Man, and his rats nest ADL, and legions of their Zionist lawyers, have threatened to implicate many of our elected traitors and criminals in Congress for supporting their treason against the American people and our Constitution.

The Narrative of the ‘Free Republic’
Early American Gangs and the Myth of Statehood
by Stefan Molyneux
Exclusive to STR
April 23, 2008
Separating facts from myths is always one of the greatest challenges when examining the past. In particular, narratives that benefit those in power are particularly resistant to rational examination, since they tend to be propagated among the impressionable and credible – particularly children, in the form of state “education.”
The history of the United States in particular has gone through an enormous amount of propagandistic revisionism, so that now the standard view of early American history tends to resemble more the slavishly pro-state “Pravda” palimpsests of the Stalinist era than a clear-eyed and rational assessment of past circumstances and events….

The Court & the ‘Greenhouse Effect’
By Patrick Buchanan
Last week, the Supreme Court held, 7 to 2, that Kentucky’s method of lethal injection remains a constitutional way of executing the rapist of a child. Justice John Paul Stevens concurred.
In his opinion, however, Stevens exhilarated liberals by coming out of the closet as a born-again abolitionist of capital punishment.
Said his honor, it is time to reconsider the “justification for the death penalty itself.” Court decisions and state actions that justify it are but “the product of habit and inattention rather than an acceptable and deliberative process.” Read the rest of this entry »

Polygamy: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow?
by Charles Adams
by Charles Adams
DIGG THIS
The current mishap in Texas over polygamy is similar to what happened in Arizona over 50 years ago in a small community just over the Utah border, away from Utah law enforcement, heavily against polygamy. This Fundamentalist branch of the Mormon Church, based on Polygamy, in Short Creek, Arizona, survived. Their leader over 80 was so shocked he died of a heart attack still fathering babies at his age. The children wanted their mothers, their fathers, and home life. In time the whole thing became a debacle for the government of Arizona. Recently I visited Short Creek now called Colorado City. The community at Short Creek is flourishing as far as I could tell. Women wore the same long dresses and bonnets as today at the temple in Texas. Too bad the Texas authorities didn’t learn from Arizona’s mistake. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this sad event. One of the problems these communities develop is the surplus of boys. The older men eagerly wait for the girls to sexually mature, but the boys are often run out of the community leaving the young girls for the older men. Nature balances out the males and females so that is a problem in smaller communities.

“Hero” John McCain as Phony and Collaborator
What Really Happened When He Was a POW?
By Alexander Cockburn
20/04/08 “Counterpunch” — – John McCain’s been getting kid-glove treatment from the press for years, ever since he wriggled free of the Keating scandal and his profitable association – another collaboration, you might say — with the nation’s top bank swindler in the 1980s. But nothing equals the astounding tact with which his claque on the press bus avoids the topic of McCain’s collaborating with his Vietnamese captors after he’d been shot down….

Can America Tolerate a Nuclear-Weaponized Iran?
What Krauthammer’s Thesis Overlooks
Joel Himelfarb
Charles Krauthammer is arguably the most thoughtful, perceptive writer on foreign affairs among American pundits today. Krauthammer has no illusions about the nature of America’s current war against radical Islamists. That’s why I was somewhat taken aback by his recent writings about the Iranian nuclear threat – in which he takes preemption off the table as a strategy against rogue states and says that the United States needs to adopt a robust “deterrence” strategy against the dark impending reality of a nuclear Iran.

In the summer of 2005, the Bush administration confronted a fresh wave of criticism over Guantánamo Bay. The detention center had just been branded “the gulag of our times” by Amnesty International, there were new allegations of abuse from United Nations human rights experts and calls were mounting for its closure.
The administration’s communications experts responded swiftly. Early one Friday morning, they put a group of retired military officers on one of the jets normally used by Vice President

Redefining ‘Swiftboating’ and Rewriting History
By Henry P. Wickham, Jr.
If the words “swift” and “boat” must be combined and turned into a verb, then let us insist on its proper use. The word as a verb originates from the campaign undertaken in 2004 by the Swift Boat Veterans in response to the John Kerry presidential candidacy. The word means, or should mean, the exposure of a fraudulent autobiography of one seeking political office or public influence. It is the correction of a personal and professional record that has been selectively and dishonestly compiled, as the Swift Vets did so effectively to that of John Kerry.

William Tecumseh Stalin
From: Bernhard1848@att.net
Below, noted war criminal William Tecumseh Stalin views Southerners as he later viewed American Indians, to be exterminated or banished to reservations. As one most familiar with the philosophy of genocide, he was the obvious choice to send out west to deal with those who wouldn’t conform to the new order of things. In the following, Stalin, er, Sherman sees no constitutional authority residing in the people of Alabama, but that they are merely the subjects of the United States occupying government land as long as they behave. The revealing excerpts below are taken from “Reminiscences of Public Men in Alabama,” published in 1872.

Coverage of the United Nations speech by Pope Benedict XVI was extremely lacking in critical analysis. None of the stories that Accuracy in Media surveyed in the major newspapers alluded to the fact that while the Pope had just finished apologizing for the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal in several U.S. appearances, his speech to the U.N. ignored the history of rapes of women and children committed by its so-called military “peacekeepers.” This has been a major U.N. scandal for years.

Parents, is homeschooling the right choice for you and your children? Maybe you think you don’t have the time to homeschool because you work. Perhaps you don’t have confidence in your ability to teach your kids because you never took “teaching” courses.
But consider the alternative. Public schools can destroy your children’s self-esteem, destroy their ability to read, strangle their love of learning, put them in physical and moral danger, and wreck their future.

Economics 101: The Price of Gas
Daily Article | Posted on 4/22/2008 by Sterling T. Terrell
Gas prices are up and oil executives are once again testifying before Congress. Clearly, many politicians, pundits, and consumers lament the rising cost of gas. Before we join them in their chorus, let us take a step back and ask this question: Are gas prices really all that high?
A change in price can be a result of inflation, taxes, changes in supply and demand, or any combination of the three.

Sharpened Tone In Debate Over Culture Of Military
By Thom Shanker
WASHINGTON — For the past 16 months as defense secretary, Robert M. Gates has emphasized the positive in trying to repair relations between senior military officers and their civilian masters at the Pentagon and the White House.
But Mr. Gates departed sharply from this tone of reconciliation in two major addresses delivered Monday. In them, he made public deep misgivings about a military culture that squelches independent thinking, and he offered a glimpse into a significant fight over how other parts of the military establishment should support ground wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Governors Want To Extend Border Operation
Leaders of 3 states want to keep Guard on duty
By Matthew Benson, The Arizona Republic
Gov. Janet Napolitano is again pleading for an extension of the border-security operation that has placed National Guard troops along the border since June 2006.
Known as Operation Jump Start, the mission was designed to bolster the border with thousands of National Guard troops until an equal number of Border Patrol officers could be hired to take their place.
But with Border Patrol staffing still inadequate and a planned virtual fence delayed by technical troubles, Napolitano, a Democrat, warned in a letter to congressional leaders Tuesday that a planned July 15 sunset of the operation would be “irresponsible.”

Readers have been shocked to learn that California has about 1 million citizens who are literally above the law. Members of this group, as a Register front-page article April 6 detailed, can drive their cars as fast as they choose. They can drink a six-pack of beer at a bar and then get behind the wheel and weave their way home. They can zoom in and out of traffic, run traffic lights, roll through stop signs and ignore school crossing zones. They can ride on toll roads for free, park in illegal spots and drive on High Occupancy Vehicle lanes even if they have no passengers in the car with them. Chances are they will never have to pay a fine or get a traffic citation.

Food Rationing Confronts Breadbasket of the World

breadbasket of the world, are now confronting a once unthinkable phenomenon:
food rationing. Major retailers in New York, in areas of New England, and on

demand outstrips supply. There are also anecdotal reports that some
consumers are hoarding grain stocks.

A Condensed Version of The Real Lincoln: A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda and an Unnecessary War by Thomas J. DiLorenzo. Prima. 352 pp. $24.95
Condensed by
Dr. Jimmy T. (Gunny) LaBaume
Chapter 5: The Myth of Secession as “Treason”
To the founding fathers, the right of secession was the most fundamental principle of political philosophy. Indeed, the Declaration of Independence was a declaration of secession by the American states . It is the cornerstone of the states’ rights doctrine which is, in turn, the most important defense against the tyranny of a centralized government. It served as the basis for America ’s two wars of secession: 1776 and 1861.
The historical evidence for this is abundant. For example:
Thomas Jefferson, in his First Inaugural Address, defended the states’ right to secede (quoted in the original). Then 15 years later, after the New England Federalists attempted to secede, he maintained that position (quoted in the original).
John Quincy Adams, although a staunch Unionist, defended the basic American right of secession in an 1839 speech (quoted in the original).
Alexis de Tocqueville observed that the “States…have not forfeited their nationality…If one…chooses to withdraw…the Federal Government would have no means of maintaining its claims…either by force or right.” He was right. But, he didn’t envision that a president would send an invading army to kill some 300,000 of his own citizens in order to destroy a right that was at the very heart of America and its system of government.

EMERGENT CHURCH SPREADING SPIRITUAL CANCER
By Marsha West
April 18, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
In the Sixties the counterculture rejected consumerism, individualism, traditional values and ideas, and protested against their parent’s middle class values. Thus began an all out assault on what had made America prosperous for two centuries.
Now a similar assault on historic orthodox Christianity is underway that’s gaining momentum. Some Christians believe a paradigm shift is taking place in the Church and as a consequence “everything must change.” This is anything but good news for Christendom, my friends. In a radio interview with Worldview Network’s Brannon Howse, Professor Peter Jones of Westminster Seminary warned listeners that the Christian theistic West has been turning back to pagan, pantheistic monism. Many in contemporary western culture now hold to a pantheistic belief in the unity of nature and God, of body and spirit — all is One.

FOUNDATIONS AND A CLOSE LOOK AT FORD
PART 1
By Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.
April 21, 2008

[Note: If one looks at the website, one finds a document prepared by The New Jewish Congress and signed by Rabbi A. Even Yisrael Steinzaltz of the Sanhedrin, Rabbi Chaim Richman of The Holy Temple, and Dr. Gadi Eshel of The New Jewish Congress. It refers to President George W. Bush as “The Chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1).” This first part of Ezekiel says: “And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against thee, Oh Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.”]
In my last article, I described the power elite’s use of crises to achieve their goals. For the ten-year period before the Clinton presidency, surveys showed “a stable 84-88 percent of respondents expressing satisfaction with the quality of care received from doctors” (PUBLIC PERSPECTIVE, May/June 1993). However, once Bill Clinton’s presidency began, suddenly there was talk of a health-care crisis, and Hillary Clinton
formed a health-care task force to look at the problem.

Violent chickens roost on candidates’ shoulders: exploring the liberal/Marxist nexus

Wes Vernon
Last week’s Clinton/Obama debate opened a new door on an old coalition: What is it about Marxists (violent or otherwise) that attracts liberals (well-meaning or otherwise) to their defense? What is their common goal (to the extent that they have one)?
The counterculture sixties
Here is the mantra of the Weather Underground, as enunciated by one of its leading disciples:
“Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents. That’s where it’s really at.”

Privacy and Property Rights
By Larrey Anderson
Whereas, whenever kings, instead of protecting the lives and property of their subjects, as is their bounden duty, do endeavor to perpetrate the destruction of either, they thereby cease to be kings, become tyrants, and dissolve all ties of allegiance between themselves and their people…
Benjamin Franklin, Preamble to a Congressional Resolution, (Papers, 22:322)
Part 1: Privacy and Property
The word “privacy” cannot be found in either the Declaration of Independence or in the U. S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The word “private” occurs only once in these documents — in the Fifth Amendment where it modifies “property.” Nevertheless, there is a right to privacy in the Constitution; and, contrary to recent Supreme Court logic, the right to privacy is guaranteed, not by some shadowy and ethereal “penumbra,” it is guaranteed, and can only be guaranteed, by the right to property. Recent Supreme Court decisions, which have ignored the inextricable connection between the right to privacy and the right to property, imperil both of these rights.

Rep. Sue Myrick Wants to ‘Wake Up America’
The Editors
Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC) recently unveiled her “Wake Up America” agenda to a select group of media representatives, including Family Security Matters. Her agenda features a ten-point strategy to alert and educate Americans to terrorist threats posed by radical Islamic extremists here at home.
One of Myrick’s goals is to “explain to people what the roadblocks are” regarding the fight against terrorism in the United States. She also feels “very strongly about the infiltration” by those who would do us harm “that’s taking place in America.”

Interview With Gen. Dan McNeill
Weekend Edition (NPR), 12:00 PM
SCOTT SIMON, host: Last week, President Bush announced that military tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan will be reduced from 15 months to 12 months. The announcement came after Pentagon leaders warned that the longer tours were leaving troops mentally and physically exhausted.
But at least one military leader has a different view.

The War on Brigitte Bardot
By Jacob Laksin
FrontPageMagazine.com | 4/21/2008
In the 1960s, Brigitte Bardot was France’s national icon, a pouty-lipped poster girl for the glories of her home country. So it is a sign of how radically times have changed that yesterday’s silver-screen darling is today’s enemy of the people. Read the rest of this entry »

Heroes or Dupes?
by Laurence M. Vance
by Laurence M. Vance
DIGG THIS
Americans love their war heroes. It doesn’t matter where the war was fought, why it was fought, how it was fought, or what the war cost. Every battlefield is holy; every cause is just; every soldier is a potential hero. But what is it that turns an ordinary soldier into a war hero? Since it obviously depends on the criteria employed, is it possible that American war heroes are not heroes at all? Could it be that, rather than being heroes, they are instead dupes?

THERE MUST NEVER BE ANOTHER WACO!
By Pastor Chuck Baldwin
April 18, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
On February 28, 1993, agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF, now known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives or BATFE) began their assault on the home of the Branch Davidians outside Waco, Texas. An unarmed David Koresh was shot by the agents as he stepped onto his front porch. A shootout resulted with several deaths on both sides.
Shortly afterward, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took charge of the situation, and on April 19, 1993 agents from both departments (utilizing military hardware and both U.S. and foreign military advisers) assaulted the dwellings, which resulted in the deaths of 80 American citizens. Most of the victims were old men, women, and small children.

Army Accepting More Recruits With Criminal Problems, No Diplomas
Morning Edition (NPR), 7:10
LYNN NEARY: Let’s start with the good news about Army recruiting. After years of war, the military still hasn’t needed a draft, but as the years go on, it’s getting harder to find qualified volunteers and documents obtained by NPR suggest that U.S. Army recruiting is not going as well as in the past.

A Living Lie
By Thomas Sowell
An e-mail from a reader said that, while Hillary Clinton tells lies, Barack Obama is himself a lie. That is becoming painfully apparent with each new revelation of how drastically his carefully crafted image this election year contrasts with what he has actually been saying and doing for many years.

Obey Your Masters in All Things

DIGG THIS
A Nation of Sheep, Napolitano, Andrew P. Nashville, Tennessee: Thomas Nelson, 2007. 240 Pages, Amazon Sale Price $17.15.
As I write this review of Judge Andrew Napolitano’s A Nation of Sheep, I am about 37,000 feet above the ground in a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737. That means that I dutifully took off my shoes, belt and whatever else I had on my being that was metallic and went sheep-like through the infamous Transportation Security Administration gauntlet.
On my trip to the airport, I made sure I did not violate speed limits – or at least drive fast enough to be conspicuous on the highway – and at the rest stops, I did not park in the spaces that were reserved for Pennsylvania state troopers. Once on the plane, I did not violate FAA regulations or do anything that would call unwanted attention to me. When we land in Las Vegas, I will make sure that I do exactly what the authorities tell me, and when I fly back home in four days, you can bet I will not place my flying “privileges” in jeopardy.

New Regulations Will Shape the Next Crisis
by Gary North
by Gary North
DIGG THIS
Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson put forth a number of “new” ideas for changes in the regulatory structures. Nothing I saw will help all that much in the current crisis. It’s more like re-arranging the deck chairs as the ship is going down. It seems like most of it is being proposed to prevent another crisis like the one we are in from occurring in the future. That simply insures that Wall Street will have to invent whole new ways to create a crisis in the future. I am sure they will be up to the task. ~ John Mauldin (April 4, 2008)

Obedience as a Radical Act
by Butler Shaffer
by Butler Shaffer
DIGG THIS
A recent news story told of cities that are removing their cameras that photograph cars running red lights at certain intersections. The reason? Drivers are aware of such devices and, rather than run the risk of getting a ticket in the mail, they stop in time. One would think making intersections safer might be a cause for self-congratulatory celebration at city hall. Not so. By reducing red-light violations, cities have also reduced the revenues coming from the traffic tickets.

U.S. Military Targets Southeast Colorado
Part 1 of 3

Property seizures in other countries are considered totalitarian. When they occur at the hands of the corporate-controlled U.S. government they are apparently condoned and even facilitated by the courts whose job it is to reign in this kind of abuse. The monopoly media, including “conservative” talk radio, is an information filtering system masquerading as “news.” They habitually conceal government land grabs and other privatization schemes like the current controversy in southeastern Colorado. The army is attempting to seize property, claiming they need extra land to better prepare the troops. What’s really behind this patriotic-let’s-help-the-troops endeavor? Call it what they will, land seizure is land seizure and violates the public trust.

Feminism is Bad for the Environment
Thirty-eight years after the first Earth Day, our progressive friends continue their long, green march through the institutions.
One doomsday scenario after another has fueled their anxiety and goosed them onwards.
At Earth Day I in 1970, biologist Paul Ehrlich promised a “Population Bomb” that would kill as many as a half a billion people in the next ten or so years and only that few if a new Pope “gives his blessing to abortion.”
By 1975, the doomsday du jour was global cooling, whose “ominous signs,” Newsweek promised, “may portend a drastic decline in food production.”

A Condensed Version of The Real Lincoln: A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda and an Unnecessary War by Thomas J. DiLorenzo. Prima. 352 pp. $24.95
Condensed by
Dr. Jimmy T. (Gunny) LaBaume
Chapter 6: Was Lincoln a Dictator?
The historical evidence is that the Founding Fathers were highly protective of a strict construction of the Constitution. For example, Madison vetoed an internal improvement appropriation because such was not explicitly mentioned in the Constitution. Jefferson said that the Constitution had to be amended before such things could be permitted.
The founders jealously protected the rights of free speech, freedom of association and the right of secession. Alien and Sedition Acts were quickly abandoned as an interference with free speech and led to the collapse of the Federalist party. New England Federalists openly threatened secession and, in effect, did by refusing to send militia for the War of 1812.
