Americans are back to the familiar four year refrain: “I’m voting for McCain. Obama is worse.” “I’m voting for Obama. McCain is worse.” Right back to the same hold your nose and vote. Right back to the same hypocrites like Sean Hannity, who has railed against Juan McCain for his tireless efforts to give illegal aliens a free pass. Hannity now pimps for McCain full time. Dr. James Dobson, head of Focus on the Family, who said, “Speaking as a private individual, I would not vote for John McCain under any circumstances,” now embraces the McCain ticket because Sarah Palin has come to the rescue sporting her Real Women Hunt Moose canvas bag.

Democrat and Republican voters, even though they flat out rejected Obama and McCain during the primaries are now cheering those two like their last breath depends on it. The Obama supporters have taken candidate worship to a new level acting as if this Marxist is a messiah. Obama and McCain are the nominees because they serve those who have bought and paid for them. Their advisors were advisors to past presidents who led the way in the destruction of this constitutional republic and our sovereignty.

“PRESS: What’s the difference between a secessionist and a terrorist? “

The mainstream media has resorted to attacking GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s husband Todd Palin. At the bottom of the hour of Bill Press’s radio show at 6am this morning, Press said the following:

PRESS: What’s the difference between a secessionist and a terrorist? Isn’t a secessionist just another form of a terrorist? Ask Abraham Lincoln…Let’s find out what the “First Dude” was going to do in order to secede from the union. I tell you it wasn’t going to be peaceful.

Dennis Kucinich on the Democrats Bailout Betrayal

By Chris Hedges

08/10/08 “Truthdig” — 05/10/08 — The passing of the $850-billion bailout pulled the plug on the New Deal. The Great Society is now gasping for air, mortally wounded, coughing up blood. It will not recover. It was murdered by the Democratic Party.

We are on our own. And dont expect any help from Barack Obama and Joe Biden, who lobbied hard for the bill and voted for it. Ignore their rhetoric. Look coldly at the ballots they cast against us. We, as citizens, have only a handful of representatives left in Washington, most of whom were left sputtering in rage and frustration on the House floor. The sad irony is that some of them were Republican.

This was the largest single act of class warfare in the modern history of this country, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, who led the fight in the House against the bailout, told me by phone from Cleveland. It is a direct attack on the American peoples ability to be able to stabilize their homes and their neighborhoods. This single vote will define the careers of everyone. We are back to taxation without representation, to markets that are openly rigged.

American Empire Is ‘Crumbling’

Interview with Howard Zinn

DIGG THIS

Al Jazeera speaks to Howard Zinn, the author, American historian, social critic and activist, about how the Iraq war damaged attitudes towards the US and why the US “empire” is close to collapse.

Where is the United States heading in terms of world power and influence?

Zinn: America has been heading – for some time, and is heading right now – toward less and less world power, less and less influence. Obviously, since the war in Iraq, the rest of the world has fallen away from the United States, and if American foreign policy continues in the way it has been – that is aggressive and violent and uncaring about the feelings and thoughts of other people – then the influence of the United States is going to decline more and more.

This is an empire which is on the one hand the most powerful empire that ever existed; on the other hand an empire that is crumbling – an empire that has no future because the rest of the world is alienated and simply because this empire is top-heavy with military commitments, with bases around the world, with the exhaustion of its own resources at home.

[This is] leading to more and more discontent and home, so I think the American empire will go the way of other empires and I think it is on its way now.

Is there any hope the US will change its approach to the rest of the world?

Five Reasons Independents Should Choose McCain Over Obama

Five Reasons Independents Should Choose McCain Over Obama
Townhall.com ^ | October 10, 2008 | John Hawkins

Conservatives, liberals, and independents tend to have a different view of the world and all too often, pundits on the right and left end up preaching to the choir instead of putting out columns that make good sense to people who don’t necessarily share our political views.

So today, I’d like to do something a little differently: I’d like to explain to the independents out there why they should want John McCain in the White House next year instead of Barack Obama.

Since most independents would probably acknowledge that McCain is more experienced than Obama, is more capable of handling a crisis, and has proven his bona fides as a bipartisan reformer, there’s no need to go back over that well-traveled ground. However, what I would like to point out is that,

As Forrest Gump would say, (Obama is) “like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get:” Paradoxically, one of the things that has helped Obama immeasurably is that his legislative record is so sparse that he has been able to simultaneously portray himself as different things to different groups of people.

All at once, he has been a doctrinaire liberal and a moderate, a radical anti-war candidate and a man who takes a pragmatic approach to foreign affairs, and a bipartisan senator who loves to reach across the aisle as well as a bitter partisan infighter who loves to fight Republicans. So, however you slice it, large numbers of Americans are destined to feel like they were misled when Barack Obama gets into office.

Who are those Americans going to be? I’d suggest that they’re the people buying into the image of Barack Obama as some sort of reasonable, bipartisan moderate. If you judge Obama by his record (what there is of it), as opposed to campaign rhetoric, you’ll find a candidate who is every bit as far to the left as Rush Limbaugh is to the right.

Ronald Reagan’s wisdom on the Middle East: LEAVE!

Ronald Reagan is America’s most beloved president of recent years. We remember how he restored prosperity while ending the Cold War without getting us all nuked….

It’s worth looking back on Reagan’s policy on involving U.S. troops in the quarrels and hatreds of the Middle East. In 1983, he committed U.S. Marines to Lebanon. On Oct. 23, a terrorist truck bomb blew up the troops’ barracks, killing 220 Marines and 21 other troops.

At first, Reagan insisted that he wouldn’t cave in to the terrorist threat. Then he realized the best policy was to pull out the troops. Here’s how he explained it in his autobiography:

A WASTED VOTE By Chuck Baldwin

NO LESSER OF EVILS–
JUST THE GENUINE ARTICLE!

When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, “He cannot win.” Or, “I don’t want to waste my vote.” It is true: America has not elected a third party candidate since 1860. Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don’t think so.

In the first place, a wasted vote is a vote for someone you know does not represent your own beliefs and principles. A wasted vote is a vote for someone you know will not lead the country in the way it should go. A wasted vote is a vote for the “lesser of two evils.” Or, in the case of John McCain and Barack Obama, what we have is a choice between the “evil of two lessers.”

Army prepares America for Martial Law – Updated

October 8th, 2008 | Constitutional Crisis, Martial Law

By: D. H. Williams @ 4:12 PM – EST

The evidence is clear and mounting that the Democrats and Republicans who control the seat of power in Washington intend to declare Martial Law in America, and soon.

Northern Command established soon after 9/11 on Oct. 1st, 2002 is an Army command structure that only has one purpose, to impose martial law on U.S. soil. This command who until this month had few permanently assigned soldiers has been given a combat trained Brigade of elite soldiers. The brigade of approximately 4000 battled hardened mechanized forces plus numerous support elements has been under the direction of NorthCom since Oct. 1st.

Army Times states the 1st Brigade, 3rd ID will be used for, “civil unrest and crowd control.” Battalion Commander Col. Roger Cloutier has told the press the unit is training with what he refers to as “non lethal weapons.” These so called non lethal weapons include rubber bullets, chemical gases, and high tech radiation and sound devices.

The deployment of military personnel for use against American citizens is absolutely unacceptable for any reason in a free society and in complete violation of Posse Comitatus. This is a complete reversal of post Civil War military tradition and beliefs and should be rejected by all military persons as a direct violation of their Constitutional oath.
