Large military forces alienate local populations, succeed less and cost more

The time may be right for Americans to re-examine our policy to fight insurgencies. For many years, U.S. forces and dollars have been used to fight insurgencies with a big U.S. presence, including large bases, vast storage depots and extensive contractor activities. This approach has produced mixed results.

Local populations have come to view this large footprint as an infringement on sovereignty and believe that it has engendered wider conflict as well as insurgent support.

Given the probability of future insurgenc! ies with the so-called global war on terror, pressures will persist for continued substantial deployments of U.S. forces and expenditures of considerable resources rather than considering potentially effective alternatives.

Barack Obama’s official web site, Fight The Smears, admits he was a British Citizen at birth. At the very bottom of the section of his web site that shows an alleged official Certification Of Live Birth, the web site lists the following information and link thereto:

An Obama supporter asked me what will happen if he is elected? Here is my answer to what I expect will happen within the next two years, if the veto proof majority in Congress is Democrat.

All restrictions by individual states on abortion deleted; abolishment of the Second Amendment; abolishment of Talk radio and TV using equal time on the programs as the means to accomplish it; restrictions on e-mail messaging; classifying the middle class as being rich if income is not just $250,000, but $50,000. V.P. Candidate Joe Biden already announced a reduction from $250,000 as too high an exception and cut the figure to $150,000 and the latest is $100,000 announced by the powerful U.S. House Way and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Charlie Rangel on earned income. The result will be stagnation with no reinvestment by small business – either ma and pa small businesses with much lower income than the larger corporations will not be plowed back.

Higher taxes on earnings of $5 million is also considered small business will cause layoffs and more than likely encourage entrepreneurs to invest in China and India rather than here. The larger foreign corporations will do the same after their small business competition is all but eliminated.

Regular readers and listeners know I have long contended that the Democruds are more fun than the Republicruds. Sure, Republicruds essentially do the same thing, but so blandly that it looks different. I figure that if you are going to h-e-c-k anyway, you may as well enjoy the trip. Illegal alien-elect Hussein certainly does not disappoint; the only thing I did not expect was that the fun would start so soon.

For instance, Change Number One came within twenty-four hours of the (s)election, when Hussein announced his choice as chief-of-staff. He is Israeli hemorrhoid Rahm Emanuel, a little bastard who is one of the few creatures on the planet more obnoxious than the late Republicrud candidate Hussein beat. Yes, the election was just a few days ago, but already I can’t recall his name. Somebody help me out here.
