Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder announcing her intentions to hold a hearing on the issue of newspaper consolidation in the San Francisco Bay area, citing anti-trust laws as a potential avenue to do something about this. The hearing would be by the Courts & Competition Policy Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee, according to Pelosi’s letter.

While clearly there are serious issues engulfing the newspaper industry, in San Francisco and elsewhere, the problem isn’t one of anti-trust violations. Pelosi has made her feelings known. She would like a return to the Fairness Doctrine. This is a nose under the tent.

There is no finer metaphor for “pretzel logic” than the issue of “gay rights”. The contemporary addiction to “gay” liberation is no less dangerous or mind-altering than being addicted to heroine.

Being gay is a sexual disorder the American Psychological Association does not recognize because it drove out Division leaders and members who recognized sexual addiction for what it is. Gay men have eight times more sexual partners than heterosexual men do, and are the prevalent reason why 3% of individuals living in Washington D.C. are infected with H.I.V – on par with AIDS crisis countries such as Kenya.

Speaking frankly, I know what goes on in the gay community having been invited to a few gay parties. The real party is in the bathroom. The parade goes both ways all night with any number of people in there at one time. It’s a crack house for sex addicts.

If you think this is hyperbolic then you haven’t come to grips with the consequences of hyper-inflation. If you did, you be like what the Banda Aceh folks would have been if they’d had any warning: in panicked flight to higher ground.

And here’s the kicker: with hyper-inflation comes hyper-fascism. The worse our economy becomes, the more our freedoms will be taken away.

Folks – this is being done on purpose. If it were all due to sheer stupidity or incompetence on Zero’s part, you would expect, as “Skye” observes on the Forum, coin-flip outcomes with at least some of them correct.

But when all actions are taken to disincentivize wealth creation and expand government control, to destroy the worth of the dollar and not increase it, then the damage is malicious and purposeful.

So here is what is really going on: the President of the United States is making a conscious concerted effort to replace capitalism with fascism. And not just in the United States but world-wide.

CNN (Continental News Network) Boston, 1773: The city of Boston canceled a proposed protest over tea taxes today, citing the fear that too many people dressed as Indians would be gathered near the wharves. Organizers expressed sadness over the cancellation, but meekly returned to their homes fearful of upsetting the officers of the Crown. Taxmen breathed a sigh of relief as the tar and feathers were put away not to be used this day.

You don’t remember that pre-revolutionary history? I should say you shouldn’t, because it didn’t happen. But flash forward a few hundred years and you’ll find it is happening today in Cape Coral, Florida where city officials canceled a tax day tea party gathering because they “feel too many people could show-up.”

The man who created two phenomenally successful “We The People” YouTube videos urging Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now – or perhaps lose it forever – reportedly has been summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films.

Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the “Common Sense” pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution.

Basso, whose website offers his services as a motivational speaker, uses the YouTube presentations to condemn “non-representing representatives” and warns, “Only when they feel the almighty wrath of ‘We The People’ marching in the streets from California to New York shouting ‘We’re mad as hell and we want our country back’ will they get the message they work for you.”

He was scheduled this week to appear on the “Jerry Doyle Show” when he told the radio host that Obama had personally invited him to meet in the White House “to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos.”

According to a spokesman for Doyle’s show, at the time when Basso was supposed to be calling in for the show, he was unavailable. Basso reached the show several hours later, explaining he had been flooded by media calls and literally was unable to call out.

The result, the spokesman said, was that Basso promised to provide Doyle with the first exclusive interview after he meets with Obama, provided the invitation still stands after the meeting was leaked to the press.

The spokesman said information about the meeting has not been made public, and show producers are waiting to see what develops. A WND message left for Basso was not immediately returned

A lawyer spearheading the effort in Washington state to bring light to the issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president says he was shadowed all day today by officers with the federal Department of Homeland Security, the Snohomish County sheriff’s office and the Everitt city police department.

“There’s definitely observation,” attorney Stephen Pidgeon told WND. “Maybe observation in anticipation of making an arrest.”

Pidgeon has been the attorney for Washington state plaintiffs challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president under the Constitution’s demand for that office to be occupied only by a “natural born” citizen. Dozens of similar cases have been filed around the country since the election and many have been dismissed, often because judges rule the plaintiffs don’t have “standing” to bring a complaint.

The Washington state case, however, cites state law that vests in citizens the right to raise questions about an elected official’s authority, effectively granting standing to those plaintiffs.

An ex-military officer has raised the stakes in the ongoing dispute over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, filing a criminal complaint against the “imposter” with the U.S. attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Retired U.S. Navy officer Walter Francis Fitzpatrick III, who has run a campaign for two decades to uncover and try to correct what he believes are criminal activities within the military, accused the president of “treason.”

In his complaint addressed to Obama via U.S Attorney Russell Dedrick and Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward Schmutzer, Eastern District, Tennessee, Fitzpatrick wrote: “I have observed and extensively recorded invidious attacks by military-political aristocrats against the Constitution for twenty years.

With rare exceptions, they will exclaim that we must have the income tax to “pay the expenses of the government.” Of course the truth is exactly the opposite. The income tax has nothing to do with paying the expenses of the government.

First an obvious fact, something you already know. When was the country created? Pick a date. Many would pick July 4th, 1776, when the Continental Congress adopted the nation’s birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence. Many others would pick the date of ratification of the Constitution. Let’s arbitrarily use 1776.

Now, when did we get the income tax? Except for the temporary income tax during Lincoln’s Communist War to Destroy the Union, there was no income tax in this country until 1913, when the U.S. Supreme Court upheld its validity in Brushaber, 240 U.S. 1. Indeed, even then it did not affect more than a handful of our people.

As late as 1942, only 3% of our people paid income tax. Until that date, most people probably had heard of it, but they didn’t pay it and had never seen the form. It didn’t apply to them. Indeed, if you check the records, you will see that in 1941, when the reader may have already been alive, the federal government collected more in alcohol and tobacco taxes than it did in income tax. Remember “moonshine” and the “revenooers?”

In just the last few months, nearly 350,000 people have signed WND’s petition asking any and all controlling legal authorities to demand proof of Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility to serve as president as a “natural born citizen.” Dozens of lawsuits have been filed and some have been reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court. The Center for Security Policy said veteran Iranian lobbyists, several of them former government officials, have been granted access to the Obama administration.

“A complex network of individuals and organizations with ties to the clerical regime in Teheran is pressing forward in seeming synchrony to influence the new U.S. administration’s policy towards the Islamic republic of Iran,” the report, titled “Rise of the Iran Lobby,” said.

The week Barack Obama was elected president, the amount of criminal background checks related to the purchase of firearms jumped 49 percent over the previous year, FBI statistics show.

It’s a trend that hasn’t ceased to stop, as background checks for firearm purchases have continued to increase in the months following the November election, when compared to the same time a year ago. February alone witnessed a 23.3 percent jump, and January and December weren’t too far ahead, with 29 and 24 percent increases, respectively.

Fears of possible anti-gun legislation that’s being considered by the Obama administration might be contributing to the rise in sales, as well as the teeter-tottering economy. The angst seems to be somewhat legitimate, although at this time it’s unclear whether a push to reinstate the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, commonly referred to as the “assault weapons ban” will be successful.

“Well, as President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Attorney General Eric Holder said during a press conference last month that focused on growing violence in Mexico.

The mysterious “Frank” cited as a friend and adviser by Democratic president contender Barack Obama while he was growing up in Hawaii has been identified as Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA.

The identification comes from Cliff Kincaid in his column, “Obama’s Communist Mentor,” which was made available on the Accuracy in Media website.

“Let’s challenge the liberal media to report on this,” he wrote in his column. “Will they have the honesty and integrity to do so?”

Kincaid, who earlier reported on Obama’s pending plan to ship $845 billion overseas to battle “global poverty” as evidence of his socialist leanings, said the newly revealed connection is even more worrisome.

Two years ago, a Pennsylvania man was thrown in jail for 160 days for refusing to allow police to take his picture.

A federal judge last week, however, ruled against local police and in favor of Gregory Bush, who was not charged with any crime on May 17, 2007, when a Lancaster, Pa., officer demanded to take the man’s photo. The words “natural born” are depicted in fact. The word “Citizenship” relates to a legal status. “Citizen” when used alone is defined within the US constitution in Amendment XIV to describe what persons would fall into the category of US Citizenship. There also are several points of reference describing US citizenship including USC Title 8 and precedent setting cases (US v. Wong Kim Ark and Perkins v Elg). Meanwhile there are no laws or precedents existing to describe those who may or may not be a “natural born Citizen”. This is most likely because “natural born citizen” is not a legal status. It is a statement of fact. The other reason is because this unique qualification only applies to the President of the United States. To the best of my knowledge, there are no other distinctions between a “citizen” (natural, native, naturalized, or other) and a natural born Citizen. The qualifier “natural born” means that one’s “Citizenship” is absent of ambiguity – meaning both of your parents were US citizens & you were born on US soil. According to the writings of the framers of the constitution, this qualifier was put in to avoid any loyalties to any other country and at the time in particular, England. Provisions were put in to allow those who were Citizens at the time of the signing to become President.

Many have foretold the coming of a constitutional crisis if Also Known As (AKA) Obama does not produce the documents proving his eligibility to the office of president. AKA has made it very apparent that he does not intend to produce the documents willingly because to do so would show that he knew he was ineligible from the outset; that the only conspiracy in this matter was the conspiracy in which he engaged to defraud the American people.

Congress, at the time fully aware of the evidence proving AKA ineligible, refused to object to the certifying of the Electoral College on January 8, 2009. Further, and after the fact, they continue to make such inane and stupid claims as “he’s produced his birth certificate”; “he was born in Hawaii”; “he has been vetted by the vote of the people” knowing full well that such is not true.

The Supreme Court and lower courts refuse to address the issue, making such inane claims as “standing”, “moot after the fact”, “frivolous”; or no comment at all. In Allen v Bowen, the judge dismissed, claiming it the duty of Congress to address the matter at the time of the certifying of the electoral college; that outside that objection, no legal remedy exists.

In another recent case, Hollister v Soetoro, Federal Judge James Robertson dismissed, claiming …

“The issue of the president’s citizenship was raised, vetted, blogged, texted, twittered, and otherwise massaged by America’s vigilant citizenry during Mr. Obama’s two-year-campaign for the presidency…”

Not only is this a lie, but in stating this, Judge Robertson violated judicial canons wherein judges are to refrain from making decisions based on facts not in evidence. It is very apparent that Judge Robertson made this statement based on personal opinion or on information he obtained outside the scope of the pleadings before him.

If ever there was a case of judicial misconduct, Judge James Robertson is a candidate.

When an American citizen had the temerity to call Robertson on the carpet for his conduct, that citizen was visited and threatened by U.S. Marshall’s in a manner reminiscent of Hitler’s Gestapo.

With any luck, the economy will never recover.

In a perfect world, the stock market would decline another 70 or 80 percent along with the shuttering of about that fraction of our nation’s banks. Yes, unemployment would rise as hundreds of thousands of formerly well-paid brokers and bankers lost their jobs; but at least they would no longer be extracting wealth at our expense. They would need to be fed, but that would be a lot cheaper than keeping them in the luxurious conditions they’re enjoying now. Even Bernie Madoff costs us less in jail than he does on Park Avenue.

Alas, I’m not being sarcastic. If you had spent the last decade, as I have, reviewing the way a centralized economic plan ravaged the real world over the past 500 years, you would appreciate the current financial meltdown for what it is: a comeuppance. This is the sound of the other shoe dropping; it’s what happens when the chickens come home to roost; it’s justice, equilibrium reasserting itself, and ultimately a good thing.

Very recently, a Christian friend in Georgia sent me some information about a website called The Obama File (link at end of this article) that I feel all thinking Americans, North and South, should really take time to go and look at. It is an in depth look at the current president of the United States and just how far to the left he really is. I went into this website and checked out just one section of the info on him, the section on his political views. That section, alone, covered 93 pages. I can only imagine how much material is covered in the other sections.

Mr. Obama may not be a Communist, but he is the closest thing to it that you can possibly be without actually being one. His political views are on the extreme left, which I am sure most Americans, thanks to our prostitute press, have no real conception of.

The Obama File states the following: “Barack Obama was born of Marxists; mentored by a communist writer and activist; spent his college days hanging around radical activists; worked as a radical community organizer, learning the radical tactics of the communist, Alinsky; attended a radical church; was introduced to Chicago politics by a communist in the home of another communist;  and today lends his political skills to the international goals of radical activists, and had radicals working on his campaign and in his administration.” Not exactly a glowing commendation!

Having done a “tracert” on 209.144.137.1 certainly does show this particular IP address to be originating from washington.savvis.net. Further, sitemeter.com — the “software” to which the article refers — is a very good web-based service used by many sites to track many different aspects of web traffic to and from one’s site. I have similarly just begun using sitemeter.com for this site, though I’ve been using my own internal, back-end WordPress plugins to track things as well as Google’s Analytics tool.

What I will caution my readers on, however, is that all that the IP confirms is that someone is using the Supreme Court’s account to look at web pages; we do not know, simply based on the above statistical analysis, whether or not it’s an actual Justice (which I highly doubt, for a number of reasons). Further, the last digit in the IP address is a “1,” and typically most PCs or Macs that use the Internet from within a given account are not assigned such a low number. In other words, this could very well be what’s known as a gateway or router into the SCOTUS offices or other facility.

Washington insiders both Democrats and Republicans (including McCain of course) love him, but we want him gone. The disconnect between Washington and real America on Geithner is startlingly large.

The gang on Capital Hill might be fooled or afraid to say otherwise, but average Americans aren’t. The latest telephone survey tells a very different story. Only 12% of taxpaying Americans have a favorable opinion of Geithner and only 11% said his job performance so far is good or excellent.

Tax cheat Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was appointed without any genuine qualifications. Now only Obama’s incompetence overshadows his own bungling ineptitude.

His “deer in the headlights” reaction to Barack Obama’s recession has exposed him as a fraud. When his tax cheating and employing an illegal alien is added to his inability to improve things, Main Street doesn’t like him and wants him gone.

Rasmussen reports the chasm between Washington and Main Street is huge and irreparable. The Washington crowd thinks Geithner is doing a fine job. More than 3 of 4 have a favorable opinion of him with two thirds saying he is doing a good or excellent job handling Obama’s recession. Three quarters of Americans think otherwise.

Among all respondents, his favorable/unfavorable numbers are sharply different at 24/44, but his “good or excellent” versus “poor” ratings are still worse.

On the question of whether Geithner’s work could be described as POOR, 53% of real Americans tagged Tax Cheat Tim with that rating and NOT A SINGLE politician used it.

Whether Geithner will resign or be fired is now a question of how quickly Obama throws him under the bus, which may be soon. If Obama threw his White grandmother between the Greyhound’s wheels, Geithner should keep his bags packed.

WASHINGTON – Months after its debut, “Hillary: The Movie” faces nine of the nation’s toughest critics: the Supreme Court.

The justices’ review of the slashing documentary financed by longtime critics of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton could bring more than just a thumbs up or thumbs down.

It may settle the question of whether the government can regulate a politically charged film as a campaign ad.

David Bossie, a former Republican congressional aide who produced the Clinton movie and another describing then-Sen. Barack Obama as an overhyped media darling, said his films are about important moments in American politics.

“The outcome of this case will dictate how we’re able to make films and educate people about them,” he said.

At issue in the case being argued before justices Tuesday is the 90-minute anti-Clinton movie and television ads Bossie wanted to air during the 2008 primaries advertising the film.

Bossie’s group, the conservative Citizens United, released the movie as Clinton, then a New York senator, was competing with Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

THE WEEKLY STANDARD reported last week that Democratic congressional candidate Scott Murphy claimed to have met with White House political operatives “in the situation room.” The White House has been non-responsive to inquiries as to whether the Situation Room–previously reserved for national security-related meetings–is now being used for political get togethers. Now we learn in today’s Washington Post that Rahm Emanuel called a group of veterans’ group leaders together to discuss a budget controversy “in the Situation Room,” with “Emmanuel seated in the President’s chair.” The article notes that the vets made a political pitch to Rahm–”We said ‘look, don’t give Republicans an opportunity to slam you.’”

So it seems that the Obama White House is using the Situation Room for meetings in a way no previous administration did. Such a meeting would have been held either in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, or maybe in the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing (which is where the article says Obama himself met with the veterans 48 hours earlier)–but never in the Situation Room. Obama seems to be holding to this principle–but not the self-aggrandizing Rahm Emanuel.

The twentieth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution contains what might be the key to unlocking the mystery of Barrack Obama’s long-form birth certificate. It reads as follows:

”1. The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.

2. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day.

3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

4. The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.

5. Sections 1 and 2 shall take effect on the 15th day of October following the ratification of this article.

6. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission.”

The portion in bold stating “or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify” in section three is particularly interesting in that it plainly seems to infer that a “qualification” of some sort must be made in order to serve as President. This is further enforced with the passage at the end of section three where it plainly states “until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.” Certainly, one cannot argue that it does not require a qualification process for one to “qualify”. To infer that the lack of a “specified” qualification process means that stated eligibility “qualifications” for the office of president can be ignored is fallacious. The wording of this passage in the twentieth amendment clearly infers that a qualification is required, regardless of how this is done. There is only one set of qualifications listed anywhere in the Constitution that are not health related and they are listed in Article two, section one.

” No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

To satisfy meeting the requirement of the twentieth amendment to “qualify”, a president elect must present evidence that he meets it’s requirements for eligibility to serve. This means that a proper birth certificate HAD to be presented by the president elect in order to serve as president. If this was done, where is that certificate and to whom was it presented? If this was done, why would we not have the right to verify and inspect it under the freedom of information act?

If it was NOT done, then under the provisions of the twentieth amendment, Barrack Obama has “failed to qualify” and should not be serving as president of the United States of America.

A California attorney battling on a number of fronts to obtain documentation of Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president is asking the FBI and U.S. Secret Service to investigate suspected “tampering” at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Orly Taitz, who is pursuing nearly half a dozen causes through her Defend Our Freedoms Foundation, says the issue of Obama’s eligibility to meet the Constitution’s demand for a “natural born” president has been before the Supreme Court at least four times.

But she wonders whether the justices actually were given the pleadings to review.

“I believe … that there was tampering with documents and records by employees of the Supreme Court and the justices never saw those briefs,” she alleges in a letter to the FBI’s Robert Mueller, the Secret Service’s Mark Sullivan and Attorney General Eric Holder.

“Three hundred five million American citizens … need to know whether a foreign national is usurping the position of the president and the commander in chief,” she wrote.

Taitz raises questions about “forgery of court records, tampering with court records, cyber crime, erasing of court records from the docket, fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud and other related crimes.”

Specifically, she points to the handling of her own case, Lightfoot v. Bowen, which was submitted to the Supreme Court on an emergency basis. Although it was scheduled for a conference, no hearing ever was held.

It’s understandable that free-market conservatives are deeply troubled that Barack Obama has taken the reins of power. Already we see America moving even closer to socialism than before. But to me what’s even more troubling than what’s going on in Washington D.C. is the clear and present danger in Christendom. Let me spell out the problem as I see it: A-p-o-s-t-a-s-y.

Dictionary.com defines apostasy as “A total desertion of or departure from one’s religion, principles, party, cause, etc.”

For hundreds of years orthodox Christianity has held that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, by supernatural power, and that every word in it is true. (2 Tim 3:16) Thus, Scripture has the power, or right, to command how people of faith live their lives. Then theological liberalism rears its ugly head and attempts to undermine established truths. The theological liberal pretends to be a Christian (“progressive Christian” is preferable) as he or she blatantly and unapologetically undermines the Divine authority of the scriptures in matters of faith and life. As a result of the onslaught of liberal influences, the Church is in dire straits!

False teachers and charlatans persist solely because Christian’s have become biblically illiterate. Many believers think studying the Bible is so dull and boring that they can’t be bothered anymore. So they’re ripe for the picking. And this is not the exception but the rule!

Obama and his team, for the first time in our nations history put the controls of Census taking into the White House. You may ask, why does the executive branch have to control a formally bi partisan, non-political structure?

Why is the census so important to begin with?

I’ll tell you why. It is mandated by our constitution that we count our population so our Government can figure out tax distribution properly and fairly. Accurate counting of our citizens also reflects representation and appropriations of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives. It involves accurate representation of voting districts as reflected by the people living in them.

Allegedly there are major consequences that are clearly defined for committing fraud and manipulating an accurate report. The Census Bureau boldly declares they are nonpartisan, non-political and very dedicated to an accurate count. Wow! I feel so much better. I’m just certain then that even though our President has grabbed the reigns of control with this group that fairness and ethics will prevail.

Lets gear up for the big count in 2010

The bureau needs to recruit 1.4 million temporary workers, the door-to-door folks. To do this, they are employing help from more than 250 national partners. With all the help they will need and with all their non-partisan commitment to accuracy and ethics in counting how is it that they even are considering the Gambino Crime Family to help coordinate a big part of this count??? OH MY, that was a Freudian slip. Did I say Gambino Crime Family???? I am horribly sorry. I meant ACORN.

MEDIA MUGS: LUCK RUNS OUT

This is Rod Luck, former reporter and sports director at San Diego’s KUSI-TV.

Luck was charged in mid-2008 with punching his girlfriend in the mouth at a San Francisco area hotel.

In the early 90′s luck was given the “Media Person of the Year” award by the San Diego part of the PGA.   The City of San Diego twice honored Luck with his own “day” in the seaside community.  The last time was in 2007.  Safe to say, that won’t be happening again.

Nick Nolte’s mugshot hairstylist must have been clearly involved in this case – but we can’t say for sure.

While WND has been tracking 170 individual tea parties across the nation, one group has announced it is planning rallies in 1,000 cities and towns on April 15.

The American Family Association, or AFA, is coordinating 1,000 Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties to be held at 12 p.m. in front of city halls across the nation.

The organization launched a Tea Party Day website just days ago so volunteer organizers may register their protests with AFA. The website also provides a list of other protests across the nation that are not organized by AFA.

Tell Congress to stop spending America into the ground! Sign the WND petition demanding lawmakers stop the bailouts, stimulus bills and march toward socialism and national destruction.

Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon, told WND that AFA has been inundated with e-mails from citizens who want to attend or organize tea parties in their own cities.

“We’re trying to get people to attend these and we’re also encouraging others if there is no tea party in their community to start their own,” he said. “All we’re trying to do is really generate activity to try to try to get people to attend these rallies to really send a message to Washington.”

For many years, the people’s attention in the Battle for America has been directed toward the federal government and its offices. Candidates stand for the House and the Senate. Patriotic groups publish voting records of incumbents. Considerable time, effort and money are expended in support of candidates for President. After decades of such commendable activity, the record shows it is an utter failure. The danger to the nation is worse than it ever was.

For many of those years, Republicrud bosses whined that if the people would only give them control of the federal government, they would undo Democrud damage and restore Free Enterprise. Finally, the people gave it to them. Remember? The Republicruds controlled the House, the Senate and the Oval Office long enough to turn the country around. What happened? The Republicruds made our problems much worse. Their spending made the profligate drunken sailor look like Scrooge. They deserved it when the people kicked them out. They lost all credibility.

Yes, there is Dr. Ron Paul. But Dr. No is a political aberration. Time and again, he stands alone. He has neither men’s room problems nor woman problems. He doesn’t take congressional retirement. He actually returns “money” (computer entries) to the federal treasury. He proposes abolishing the Fed and the income tax and replacing them with nothing. In foreign affairs he suggests that we mind our own business. Imagine! But, again, he is an aberration.

Why? Certainly one reason has to be that we ship the successful congressional candidate off to the District of Corruption. However good the new congressman may have been when he or she boarded the plane to the District; he is subjected to intoxicating blandishments when he arrives in the enemy camp.

Soon, he succumbs to the blandishments, maybe even making himself blackmailable, and begins to vote as the party boss says, without even reading the bills. Instead of representing the people of his congressional district in the District of Criminals, he represents the D.C. to the C.D. He or she now is one of the boys or the girls. It has happened hundreds of times.

According to the Post, Obama said that it is impossible to separate the countrys financial ills from the long-term need to rein in health-care costs, stabilize Social Security and prevent the Medicare program from bankrupting the government. Barack Obama stated on Chicago Public Radio that he did not believe in the Constitution. Well today, March 19,2009 the US House of Representatives along with New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo took action that has effectively killed the US Constitution as we know it.

Today the US House decided to ignore the US Constitution and pass a bill directly aimed at specific American Citizens (meaning the AIG employee’s) taxing them for political posturing. Barack Obama touted how he was a constitutional law educator and attorney yet he fails to comply with that pesky little document.

Sir Thomas was there appealing to the natural law as well as to the common sense of his jurors: The government can’t change the laws of nature. As we know, he fared no better than those who today argue that Congress is not omnipotent, has natural, moral, and constitutional limitations on its power, and every day fails to abide them.

Jefferson wedded the natural law to American law in the Declaration of Independence when he wrote that our rights are “inalienable” and come to us from “Our Creator.” Not only does federal law recognize that, but the whole American experience recognizes the natural law as the ultimate source of our freedoms and as a restraint on the government. Thus, the traditional panoply of American rights is ours by birthright and cannot be interfered with by an act of Congress or order of the president, but only after due process.

People don’t seem to get excited about politics until a national election rolls around or unless the President makes some startling announcement. Even well-meaning Christian leaders seem to spend the vast majority of their time dealing with policies that emanate from Washington, D.C. Already, I’m hearing leaders of the so-called Religious Right talk gushingly about who the next Presidential nominee of the Republican Party will be. Who cares? Do you mean to tell me that with all we have to deal with right now, we can’t find anything else to talk about? How shallow–and utterly ineffective–can we be?

In the first place, Washington, D.C., is a lost cause. It really is. We have about as much chance of flying to the moon in a glider as we do of seeing any significant change in Washington, D.C. Neither the Republican nor Democrat parties at the national level offer any hope. The federal government is hell-bent on turning the United States into a socialistic global village, and the two major parties are in it up to their necks.

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a plan to set up a new “volunteer corps” and consider whether “a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people” should be developed.

The legislation also refers to “uniforms” that would be worn by the “volunteers” and the “need” for a “public service academy, a 4-year institution” to “focus on training” future “public sector leaders.” The training, apparently, would occur at “campuses.”

The vote yesterday came on H.R. 1388, which reauthorizes through 2014 the National and Community Service Act of 1990 and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, acts that originally, among other programs, funded the AmeriCorps and the National Senior Service Corps.

It not only reauthorizes the programs, but also includes “new programs and studies” and is expected to be funded with an allocation of $6 billion over the next five years, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Many, however, are raising concerns that the program, which is intended to include 250,000 “volunteers,” is the beginning of what President Obama called his “National Civilian Security Force” in a a speech last year in which he urged creating an organization as big and well-funded as the U.S. military. He has declined since then to elaborate.

My father is a Vietnam veteran.  He received two purple hearts for his service to his country.  He is not an outspoken man, nor is he the type to proclaim that someone owes him for his service.  Although he took shrapnel in his leg and shoulder, and lost a good percentage of his hearing in the war, he came back and started a family and grew up to be a successful and proud American.

As my father has aged, his hearing has deteriorated even further, and he requires the use of hearing aids.  Because his hearing was damaged in the war, he goes down to the VA to receive them, free of charge.   This is a small price to pay by the government for my father’s service, and the service of thousands of men and women like him.

Up until this point in American history, no President has ever dreamed of denying our men and women of our Armed Services medical care for their injuries and forcing them to use their private insurance.  That is, until the Agitator in Chief came into power.

It is said that “whom the gods would destroy, they first drive mad.” Even the most cursory glance at this nation’s current banking crisis would strongly suggest that the deities are out to get us.

Plainly said, our entire credit system — the basis upon which the economy rests — has gone stark raving mad. If you don’t believe that, I suggest you take a look at where the various bailouts have left us, or the current phony furor over the AIG bonus payments that resulted from the actions of members of Congress and Obama administration.

A case in point: For the last few months I have been attempting to refinance my mortgage in order to take advantage of those juicy below-5 percent interest rates my bank is advertising. Just about every day I approach my bank’s branch manager to see if this is the day I will qualify.

Yesterday when I complained anew about my inability to qualify for refinancing my mortgage despite the fact that I faithfully make my monthly mortgage payments, the bank manager told me that she — a bank executive — was in the same boat as I am.

Get this. She is a single mother who has worked for my bank for more than 20 years and has risen to the key position of branch bank manager — the equivalent of being the president of a local independent bank — no small potatoes.

She told me that she had not only been told that she wasn’t qualified to refinance her own mortgage, but was just informed that her equity line of credit had also been cancelled, as if she were some kind of irresponsible credit risk.

Millions of people, not limited to just Americans, are asking this question. Who is this man? Where did he come from? And, where is he taking the United States? Too many questions, and not enough answers. Truly the man is a mystery, an enigma. He is a contradiction at multiple levels, and for someone that claims his administration will be one of transparency and accountability, all this make him a paradox.

Obama suddenly burst on the conscience of America less than four years ago, and more recently the world. Before that, he was a little-known state Senator from the Midwest. Prior to that he had worked in Chicago as a local neighborhood organizer, where he caught the attention of questionable people with his ability to speak well, convey an air of confidence, and get things done in the local community.

If you trace his origins back even further, the mysteries surrounding Obama increase dramatically. As you attempt to pull back the veil and peer behind it, you will be met by a complete darkness that seems to have a life of its own. This living darkness guards its secrets very well, muting any attempt to shine light into it.

Obama’s birth is where the mystery begins with his determination to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to hide his birth location, rather than simply produce the document in question. By producing the original, unmolested and unaltered birth certificate, he could, if he is a natural born citizen, in one hour, silence those that question his natural born status and throw dozens of lawsuits out the window. Yet he chooses to ignore the increased attention to this subject, only adding more doubt about who he is and where he came from. We know the governor’s office in Hawaii said there is a valid certificate but has rejected every request for access & left the origin of the ambiguous. We also know that the state of Hawaii has issued birth certificates for people that were never born in Hawaii! Where is the transparency? Where is the accountability? Why does his Kenyan grandmother Sara, insist she was present at his birth if she was not? Why has his half-sister Maya Soetoro named two different Hawaii hospitals as Obama’s place of birth? Maybe it’s because Obama himself is not certain of his birth date. While in Selma, Alabama he claimed that he was born in 1965, not 1961. Oh, the tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.

What little we do know about Obama only raises more questions about his eligibility to legally and constitutionally serve as President of the United States. He moved around a lot as a child. We know he scarcely knew his biological father, who left him and his mother when Obama was only two years old. After his mother remarried, we know he lived abroad and attended school in Indonesia, a country that requires its students to be citizens of that country, and does not allow dual citizenship. So this raises the possibility that his mother gave up his U.S. citizenship. If she did surrender her son’s U.S. citizenship, then to regain it at some point in the future would have meant he would classified as a “naturalized” citizen, not a “natural-born” citizen. We know that if Obama’s mother had surrendered his U.S. citizenship that she would not have been able to comply with federal law to regain his U.S. citizenship because she herself was too young.

A lawyer threatened by a federal judge with sanctions for filing one of the myriad legal challenges to President Obama’s eligibility has responded by criticizing the judge for relying on “hearsay” blog information for his decision and suggests he should be given a hearing that could include discovery of the president’s original birth certificate. WND reported earlier when Judge James Robertson dismissed a lawsuit filed by John D. Hemenway on behalf of Gregory S. Hollister, a retired military officer, who is subject to being recalled to duty and therefore would need to know the legitimacy of any order coming from Obama. In his statement dismissing the case, Robertson ridiculed the complaint, which never had a court hearing, ruling that the eligibility issues had been “blogged, texted, twittered and otherwise massaged.” Hollister is represented by Philadelphia lawyer Philip Berg, who has brought several motions on the eligibility dispute to the U.S. Supreme Court that have been ignored. Hemenway acted as local counsel in filing the action on behalf of Hollister. A young student friend e-mailed me on Tuesday night.

“Have locked myself in my room because the place is full of little idiots — who cannot spell Barack Obama’s name and could not name one of his foreign or domestic policies — running around screaming obscenities about George Bush, conservatives and how Sarah Palin is a bitch. I love democracy!”

Even so, the people spoke. A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere.

A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.

A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon.

Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meagre political fashion.

An invitation to soldiers and peace officers across the United States to pledge to refuse illegal orders – including “state of emergency” orders that could include disarming or detaining American citizens – has struck a chord, collecting more than 100,000 website visitors in a little over a week and hundreds of e-mails daily.

Spokesman Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers told WND his organization’s goal is to remind military members their oath of allegiance is to the U.S. Constitution, not a particular president.

He said the organization deliberately does not collect the names of those who subscribe to Oath Keepers’ beliefs because of their status mostly as active duty soldiers.

He told WND he is scheduled to talk about the issue on G. Gordon Liddy’s radio program tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, and he’s begun working with “Gathering of Eagles” on several projects, including a Pro Troop Events gathering scheduled in Washington in June.

Thanks to a concerned Missouri state policeman, a nationally syndicated radio talk show host stated that he was alerted last week to a secret Missouri state police report that categorized supporters of Congressman Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and myself as “‘militia’ influenced terrorists.” The report, he said, “instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties.”

I first became aware of Michael Steele when he appeared as a guest on the FOX network, and suddenly he was running for national GOP chairman. Like Democrat President Jimmy Carter and Democrat President Barack Obama who both claimed to be Christians and “outsiders,” Michael Steele virtually came out of nowhere. One of his first missteps was when he failed to explain what popular radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh meant when he said he hoped Barack (policies) would fail. Steele’s response was to accuse Rush of being incendiary, ugly and simply an “entertainer.” The gloves came off and foofaraw followed and remained until the AIG contractual bonuses came to light and Senator Barney Frank said it looked as though incompetence is being rewarded but where is the outrage about the federal and state public employees retiring as millionaires? Why aren’t they on unemployment lines? The federal government is hiring –all Democrats, no doubt.

Today I watched on TV a gaggle of wretched, greedy, grasping and predatory liberal congress people, led by that prehensile queen of the unenlightened and ignorant Nancy Pelosi, as they inveighed, cried, bawled, and begged that an automatic salary increase of ninety thousand dollars for elected congress people be allowed to go into effect. The fact that these abjectly immoral people have been elected to office in the first place points up the desperately pitiful mentality of the electorate who put them into positions of leadership over a nation of three hundred million people.

That these mental midgets would even consider accepting an additional ninety thousand dollars annually to supplement their already one point seven million dollar yearly gouge of working American taxpayers testifies to their venal nature and corruptness of mind. It is unbelievable that these cuckoos would be so bold to even contemplate such a measure after they have collectively helped to deliver their constituents into a deepening recession and brought them to the doorstep of an imminent collapse. Such chutzpah just boggles the mind of real and thinking people.

President Obama last Friday reiterated for the umpteenth time his determination to develop a “new relationship” with the Muslim world. On this occasion, the audience were the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Unfortunately, it increasingly appears that, in so doing, he will be embracing the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood – an organization dedicated to promoting the theo-political-legal program authoritative Islam calls Shariah and that has the self-described mission of “destroying Western civilization from within.”
