George Washington’s Goodbye To The People….

GEORGE WASHINGTON, farewell address, Sep. 19, 1796

” If in the opinion of the People, the distribution or modification of the Constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation ; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”

And so just what is the penalty for “usurpation” mentioned by President Washington, above?

I do not know, but in my opinion, resignation should not be permitted, and it should be a speedy public trial, conviction, and an appropriate sentence of life in prison on “piss and punk.”

(Try Googling that last one together with ‘Rocks and Shoals’)
