Everyone reading this column knows that the news service over which I preside has been virtually alone in covering one of the biggest electoral scandals in American history – maybe the biggest.

I’m talking about the question of Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility to serve as president.

Even many of Obama’s political opponents and harshest critics continue to pretend this is a non-issue, that it’s a matter that has somehow been settled, that it is a question only people who wear tin-foil hats are discussing.

I know that’s not the case, given a petition I began demanding proof Obama is a “natural-born citizen” has now attracted more than 360,000 signees.

Yet, the cover-up continues.

The rest of the media care not.

They have no idea how much concern there is for the sanctity of the Constitution out there throughout America.

But just to point out the duplicity of my colleagues in the establishment press, I would like to ask a rhetorical question: Did the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune and ABC News cover a story about questions over a presidential candidate’s constitutional eligibility during the long campaign last year?

Surprisingly, perhaps, the answer is “Yes, they did.”

They all covered the question over John McCain’s eligibility as a “natural-born citizen.”

The continuing efforts of a fringe group of conservatives to deny Obama his victory and to lay the basis for the claim that he is not a legitimate president are embarrassing and destructive. The fact that these efforts are being led by Alan Keyes, a demagogue who lost a Senate election to the then-unknown Obama by 42 points, should be a warning in itself.

This tempest over whether Obama, the child of an American citizen, was born on American soil is tantamount to the Democrats’ seditious claim that Bush “stole” the election in Florida and hence was not the legitimate president. This delusion helped to create the Democrats’ Bush derangement syndrome and encouraged Democratic leaders to lie about the origins of the Iraq war, and regard it as illegitimate as Bush himself. It became “Bush’s War” rather than an American War — with destructive consequences for our troops and our cause.

The birth-certificate zealots are essentially arguing that 64 million voters should be disenfranchised because of a contested technicality as to whether Obama was born on U.S. soil. (McCain narrowly escaped the problem by being born in the Panama Canal zone, which is no longer American.)

What difference does it make to the future of this country whether Obama was born on U.S. soil? Advocates of this destructive campaign will argue that the constitutional principle regarding the qualifications for president trumps all others. But how viable will our Constitution be if five Supreme Court justices should decide to void 64 million ballots?
Conservatives are supposed to respect the organic nature of human societies. Ours has been riven by profound disagreements that have been deepening over many years. We are divided not only about political facts and social values, but also about what the Constitution itself means. The crusaders on this issue choose to ignore these problems and are proposing to deny the will of 64 million voters by appealing to five Supreme Court Justices (since no one is delusional enough to think that the four liberal justices are going to take the presidency away from Obama). What kind of conservatism is this?

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama’s nominee for “regulatory czar” has advocated a “Fairness Doctrine” for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period.

The revelations about Cass Sunstein, Obama’s friend from the University of Chicago Law School and nominee to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, come in a new book by Brad O’Leary, “Shut Up, America! The End of Free Speech.” OIRA will oversee regulation throughout the U.S. government.

Sunstein also has argued in his prolific literary works that the Internet is anti-democratic because of the way users can filter out information of their own choosing.

“A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to communications, is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government,” he wrote. “Democratic efforts to reduce the resulting problems ought not be rejected in freedom’s name.”

Regular readers of these diatribes are aware that one of the conspiracy for world government’s persistent goals is a massive reduction of the earth’s population. There are just too many people out there for the conspirators to control, so they want to eliminate some of them. The “ideal society” that results would include the few conspirators at the top and the rest of us slaves at the bottom to serve them.
Over the years, they have concocted many spurious justifications for the purpose, including the “ecology movement,” Zero Population Growth, phony energy “shortages,” etc. That is one of the reasons the birth rate has fallen among bamboozled American women – and especially among European women – while it booms among illegal aliens.

The idea is that there are just too many people for the planet to sustain. Indeed, the Communist UN is hawking a program called Agenda 21, which includes a scam called “sustainable development.” It means total, totalitarian control of the environment and is presently being implemented here in these united States.

Mike Garbageoff is one of the conspiracy factotums assigned to supervise this program, probably because as “former” Soviet dictator and KGB boss he has hands-on experience in exterminating large groups of humans. Mike is the man with the mark of Cain on his head, who says in his book about perestroika that Communism remains his goal, from which he will never deviate.

Remember that when the Soviet Union “””fell,””” and Mike was “””deposed,””” the conspiracy for world government brought him here in a trice and installed him at the Presidio, the historic U.S. Army base in San Fransicko. (Now he has relocated to Northeastern University in Boston.) Remember, we’re talking about a “former” Soviet dictator of the “evil empire.” Wouldn’t you think such an arrangement should arouse at least a few questions in the normal mind?

WASHINGTON – Putting aside their own competitive interests, representatives of more than two dozen of the nation’s top talk shows held an unprecedented private meeting over the weekend to brainstorm strategies against what they agreed are government plans by to squelch critical political speech on radio.

Organized by Brad O’Leary, author of the new book, “Shut Up, America! The End of Free Speech,” and Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, the group chose one attendee to be spokesman and chairman of the coalition – syndicated host Roger Hedgecock of San Diego.

A daylong discussion today focused on what was described as the “imminent threat” of so-called “localism” requirements that will subject radio programming to the review by panels of community activists who will evaluate station content. These panels will be empowered to make recommendations for programming changes and challenge at the Federal Communications Commission the licenses renewals of stations that don’t heed their advice.

In his Monday speech to CIA employees, President Obama aimed to assure an agency where some are suspicious of him. His decision to release details of interrogation techniques used on terrorists risked making operatives fearful of political second-guessing and raised fears our enemies would get an advantage.

Against that backdrop, the President expressed one of the more remarkable passages of his young tenure, one worth repeating in full:

“What makes the United States special, and what makes you special, is precisely the fact that we are willing to uphold our values and our ideals even when it’s hard, not just when it’s easy; even when we are afraid and under threat, not just when it’s expedient to do so. That’s what makes us different.

ONE of President Barack Obama’s planes, escorted by two fighter jets, spread panic Monday flying low over New York, triggering office evacuations in the city still scarred by the 9/11 attacks.

But the low-flying planes which buzzed parts of southern Manhattan and the Hudson River for about 30 minutes were just out for a Pentagon exercise.

“The presidential airlift group conducted an aerial photo in the New York city area today,” said US Air Force spokesman Major Richard Johnson.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) called the maneuver a “photo op.”

“The Defence Department is conducting a photo op that involves deploying two F-16s and escorting a military version of the Boeing 747” close to lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, FAA spokesman Jim Peters said.

“The maneuver was not an emergency and was coordinated in advance with the FAA and state and local officials,” he added.

A police spokesman confirmed some offices had been evacuated, without giving a figure and said: “I guess people panicked.”

It also appears that the Obama administration is contemplating bailing out failing newspapers and through such bailouts selecting executives and members of the boards of directors of newspaper publishing companies, implying the kind of permanent government control that we are seeing now in some of the banks and in the auto industry.

Talk radio and the Internet are preparing to fight back.

There is an old saying, “A man who is capable of deceiving only others is not nearly as dangerous as a man who is capable of deceiving himself.” Truer words were never spoken. When a person lies, he is deceiving others about reality, but at least knows he is engaging in deception. But when someone rationalizes – which is when you lie to yourself – he is truly lost. He then not only bends reality for others as a by-product of bending it for himself, but he can render untruths without having to lie. This is because a lie is when you tell an untruth knowing it’s untrue. It’s much like when the ever-prevaricating George Costanza character on Seinfeld gave his advice for beating a polygraph machine, “just remember . . . it’s not a lie if you believe it.”

The rot and corruption that has been oozing out of Washington, DC for decades continues as Americans scramble to keep their heads above water, a roof over their heads and food on the table. 401(k)s will continue to bleed and the shock factor will multiply as Americans see the fruits of their labor and dreams turn to dust. For those who still believe there is a difference between the Democrats and Republicans (other than the issue of abortion), let me disabuse you of that myth right now: April 17, 2009: Steve Schmidt urges Republicans to begin voicing more support for civil unions and gay rights. The Democrats controlled Congress for 40 years. This brought us disasters like LBJs “Great Society,” two monstrous failures called immigration reform (the first from Ted Chappaquidick Kennedy; the second foolishly signed by Ronald Reagan) that opened the flood gates resulting in a continuing invasion that has cost the lives of tens of thousands of Americans, bankrupting local municipalities and states and robbing Americans of jobs that rightfully belong to our people.

The Republicans took over in January 1995; they lost “power” in November 2006. In all those years of “control” not one single, unconstitutional or unnecessary cabinet or agency was eliminated. The unconstitutional invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan continued by writing hot checks. They did not take Eisenhower’s blue print and put it into action. Illegal aliens: Do not pass go and you sure as hell are not entitled to free medical, education, housing or America’s jobs.
