The Constitution Party of Idaho doesn’t think I am good enough to be a common member, let alone a candidate for state office on its ticket in 2010.  Chairman Paul Venable said so when he returned my membership application with the the word “REJECTED” stamped across its face in giant, red block letters.

Good Enough

I’ve been good enough to vote for Constitution Party candidates since the days it called itself the Taxpayers’ Party.

I’ve been good enough to get out the vote for Constitution Party candidates, as followers of my writings well know.

Readers will recall that I encouraged financially supporting Constitution Party candidates in the past, notably Chuck Baldwin, 2008 candidate for President on the party ticket.

I was good enough to generate tons of support and money for Ron Paul, who ultimately endorsed Chuck Baldwin.

My family was good enough to contribute money with which we could ill afford to part.

Not Good Enough

But I’m not good enough to be a member of the very party I have supported so vigorously down through the years.

I’m not good enough to help select Idaho Constitution Party officers or participate in crafting its agenda or message.

Barack Obama’s decision to paint the hedge funds in the Chrysler case as anti-American obstructionists is prompting death threats against them.

That’s at least what their lead laywer Thomas Lauria is saying, reports The Detroit News. He said in court that the threats have been turned over to the FBI.

We assume Lauria is being honest — you don’t say this stuff in court and turn it over to the FBI if it’s rubbish — though we’ll note that Lauria is being pretty provocative in his attempt to win the war of public opinion in the Chrysler case. He’s of course been airing the complain that one redoubt, Parella Weinberg, only decided to go along with the Rattner plan upon receiving thuggish threats of intimidation.

Lauria used the death threats as a reason to keep the names of the hedge funds secret.

Sound familiar: It’s almost exactly how the stories played out in the AIG case, as they tried to keep the bonus recipients a secret amidst intense public anger.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says President Obama is making the biggest power grab in American history and moving America towards a dictatorship.” Later, she recounted that U.S. Senator Robert Byrd wrote on February 23 a letter to the President complaining essentially of a power grab when Obama named health czars or urban affairs policy experts at the White House. Gingrich said the stimulus package/appropriations bill “was written in the House under what is, in effect, a dictatorship” by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who “is the most powerful person in the government today. President Obama is the second most powerful.”

This video has received a lot of attention. As of right now, it is showing well over a half a million hits since it was posted on March 1. It is also controversial. Many Obama supporters have claimed to debunk the video by pointing out that the events were not comparable. They argue that the event in Anbar province that President Bush attended in September 2007 was informal. The Camp Lejune event that President Obama attended, on the other hand, was more formal. They point out that it is not fair to compare two events in which the Marines are subject to different rules of behavior.

In fairness, they are correct. The events were different in many ways and the Marines present were subject to different behavioral expectations. There is, however, more to this video than that. If the content of this video were that easily debunked it would not still be drawing tens of thousands of hits per day. The different degrees of formality aside, this video is quite revealing.

In the video, the Marines exhibit obvious love and respect for President Bush. His visit was not an event that followed closely on the heels of 9/11. This video was taken after the worst days of the war and after the surge created major progress in the region. The president is visiting the troops in Anbar Province, the home of the infamous Falluja and Ar Ramadi killing grounds. This visit took place after the province had been pacified. In other words, the Marines showed their love of Mr. Bush even after the darkest days of the war.

The Lejune video, on the other hand, shows Obama entering with all the pomp and circumstance of a royal visit to the peasants. Hail to the Chief plays in the background; something that President Bush didnt allow during his military visits. Obama knows that keeping the Marines locked at the position of attention means that no comparison can ever be made to the loving reception President Bush regularly received from the troops. Obama knows how the Marines feel and will always treat them exactly like the rabble he sees.

This is the real truth of the video and why it is so popular. It warms the heart of Bush supporters to see President Bush receive the love, gratitude and respect of these warriors. It angers Obama supporters because they also see the love President Bush receives and they know their man will never see anything similar from the troops. They know that these warriors loved the last president and will never give similar respect to this one.

AP- WASHINGTON D.C. – In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama’s qualifications for the presidency, the group “Americans for Freedom of Information” has released copies of President Obama’s college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama’s detractors have been seeking.

The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama’s legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London, where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue. Meanwhile, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs scoffed at the report stating that this was obviously another attempt by a right-wing conservative group to discredit the president and undermine the administration’s efforts to move the country in a new direction.

Totalitarian movements have always destroyed their enemies. Peter the Great of Russia murdered members of the Streltsy military corps by taking the ax of the executioner to cut off their heads one by one himself. The Bolsheviks murdered the last Russian Czar—along with his wife and family—by telling them they were going to have their picture made. As they smiled into the camera, they were shot, buried and had acid poured over their remains.

Stalin continued the blood bath of the Russian Revolution by murdering thousands of his own who didn’t agree with Marxism. The Nazis had their gas chambers, not just for Jews, but also for dissenters. Fidel Castro turned his popularity into tyranny and brave Cubans gave their lives trying to free their beloved island. The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia tortured and murdered the intelligentsia in the S21, the regular folk in the Killing Fields. The slightest lack of support for Pol Pot and the new regime earned one a place in a mass grave.

There was a dreadful logic in all of this: By killing the opposition, you eliminated any possibility of future resistance, and you eradicated any personality who could possibly remind or rally future generations to any other way of thinking. Power was—at least for a time—absolute in each situation.

But times have changed and so have strategies. Saul Alinsky, radical of the ’60s, author of “Rules for Radicals” who was all about taking power, suggested that you target your opposition, make it personal and destroy him. Recent decades have seen this play out in the demonization and ruination of a host of people. They weren’t killed, but they were in essence destroyed so that no one in the mainstream culture would ever again listen to or heed their advice. Richard Nixon…Oliver North…Clarence Thomas…Dick Cheney…Tom DeLay…George W. Bush…Sarah Palin.

Have Americans stopped to think that these destroyed people are all on the political right? Have they noticed that Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank still walk among us, exercising influence, with whatever reputations they have in tact?

Two weeks before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security penned its controversial report warning against “right-wing extremists” in the United States, it generated a memo defining dozens of additional groups – animal rights activists, black separatists, tax protesters, even worshippers of the Norse god Odin – as potential “threats.”

Though the “Domestic Extremism Lexicon” was reportedly rescinded almost immediately, Benjamin Sarlin of The Daily Beast recently obtained and published online a copy of the unclassified memo, dated March 26, 2009.

While many of the groups listed in the lexicon – such as Aryan prison gangs and neo-Nazis – may indeed be widely considered extremists, others will likely take offense at being described as a potential “threat.”

For example, the memo defines the “tax resistance movement” – also referred to in the report as the tax protest movement or the tax freedom movement – as “groups or individuals who vehemently believe taxes violate their constitutional rights. Among their beliefs are that wages are not income, that paying income taxes is voluntary, and that the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which allowed Congress to levy taxes on income, was not properly ratified.”

The Department of Homeland Security’s release of the “right-wing extremism” report should anger everyone. Janet Napolitano’s faux apology to veterans glossed over the real message of this memo: to intimidate the 60 million Americans who voted against Obama.

Consider the current Department of Homeland Security’s definitions of “extremists” according to this memo: those worried about the usurpation of the Constitution, illegal immigration, and the threat of gun control legislation. Consider the way these real fears are cast: “Many right-wing extremist groups perceive recent gun control legislation as a threat to their right to bear arms”; also they have the “perception that illegal immigrants were taking away American jobs” (emphases added).

This administration labels those who see such real dangers for what they are as delusional. Perhaps they see us as needing a little help from government psychiatrists?

Obama himself, far from the bipartisan spirit promised — indeed, even the respect expected from the officeholder — mocks opposing opinions…

In the last century, the impassioned words and actions of patriots like Winston Churchill – along with America’s heroic help and sacrifice – saved Europe. The eloquence and actions of “I’ve been to the mountaintop” Martin Luther King Jr. brought America to an unprecedented level of social justice.

The peerless oratory and tireless diplomacy of the man who would become Israel’s Foreign Minister, Abba Eban convinced the entire world that after the wanton murder of six-million Jews in the Holocaust its straggling survivors deserved their own state of Israel. The inspiring words and decisive actions of President Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War, tore down the Berlin Wall, and restored economic prosperity to America. The efforts of these towering figures resulted in a more highly-evolved world.

We have also seen the opposite in totalitarian leaders like Hitler, Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Mao, and Saddam Hussein, among others, who exploited their masses, destroyed their economies, brought havoc, turbulence, grief and massive death within and outside of their countries, and made the world a more dangerous and threatening place.

• Hospitals on New York’s Long Island were scrambling to bring extra workers in to handle a 50% surge in visitors to emergency rooms.
• In Galveston, Texas, the local hospital ran out of flu testing kits after being overwhelmed with patients worried about having contracted swine flu.
• At Loma Linda University Medical Center near San Bernardino, California, emergency room workers set up tents in the parking lot to handle a crush of similar patients.
• In Chicago, ER visits at the city’s biggest children’s hospital are double normal levels, setting records at the 121-year-old institution.

So far, few of the anxious patients have had more than runny noses. The most disturbing revelations about these scenarios? They knew this was the way we would respond. What was published in 2006 has become fact in 2009.

Why do I call the cover up of Obama aka Soetoro aka and all his other aliases a crisis? Because the longer federal judges play fast and loose with the law and other law enforcement (DOJ) continue to ignore a true constitutional legal challenge, the more extensive the damage to this country will be. As I have said in recent columns, production of a long form vault birth certificate will “not put to rest this issue once and for all.” If the document were genuine and showed Obama aka Soetoro and so forth, were born in Kenya, it would only prove what so many of us already know: Obama aka Soetoro is a classic narcissist and pathological liar. However, if a genuine long form birth certificate shows he was born in Hawaii, it still does not get around constitutional restrictions even though his mother was a U.S. citizen.

The issue of his citizenship status is a legal one, not a political one. This is what Obama’s supporters willfully continue to ignore. They gleefully display their industrial strength stupidity by attacking Americans who are asking the law be upheld because no one, not even a president (or usurper president) is above the law. Here are a few examples of individuals who care nothing for our constitution. I can tell you by reading their carefully crafted lies and distortions that they’ve never spent five minutes reading any legal analysis or historical writings about the issue of ‘natural born at birth.’
