Barack Obama’s foreign policy blundering is now verging on the surreal. When Manuel Zelaya, the socialist president of Honduras, was overthrown, Obama first declared himself “deeply concerned”, then denounced the coup as illegal; now, with the support of the Obama White House, the Organisation of American States has given Honduras a three-day deadline to reinstate Zelaya. This is madness.

Zelaya was unseated by the army, but this was no ordinary military coup. The armed forces were carrying out a decision of the Honduran Supreme Court after it had declared unconstitutional a referendum Zelaya was attempting to hold to extend the length of time he could stay in office. This is a well-known ploy among leftist Latin American leaders in the mould of Hugo Chavez, the Marxist president of Venezuela.

Resolution backed by CAIR urges closing schools on Muslim holidays

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg

Will the New York City school system be compelled to commemorate Islam on Sept. 11?

It has been widely reported the New York City Council passed a resolution Tuesday recommending the school system shut down to commemorate two of the most important Muslim holidays, however the reports did not note the holidays fall on Sept. 11 in some years.

The council vote, which was non-binding, is at odds with the opinion of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has said he is opposed to adding any more days off to the school calendar. Bloomberg, however, recently relinquished control of the school system to a newly appointed board of education, which could approve the holiday plan.

Back in January 1973, National Lampoon sported a brilliant cover – probably the satirical magazine’s most famous.

A cute black and white dog was the visual element, staring ominously at a revolver pointing at his head. The headline read: “If you don’t buy this magazine, we’ll kill this dog.”

People bought the magazine in droves, not because they believed the editors of National Lampoon were really going to kill the dog, but because it was so funny.

It strikes me that Barack Obama and the Democrat-dominated Congress are governing along the same lines. The only difference? They’re not joking.

Obama: Becoming more and more like a Canadian

By Arthur Weinreb Wednesday, July 1, 2009 In the wake of the ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, Barack Obama had this to say:

We believe that the coup was not legal and that President Zelaya remains the president of Honduras, the democratically elected president there.

Okay, we have to cut the Bamster some slack here because these words were spoken at a press conference and Obama did not have the benefit of his trusty teleprompter to help him out. It’s not exactly clear that what transpired in the Central American country was a coup although the US president seems to assume that it was. Let’s give him that one and assume that it was in fact a coup. What he said was nonsensical; a coup by definition is illegal. The word “coup” is defined as the overthrow of a government by force or illegal means. If what happened in Honduras wasn’t illegal, it wouldn’t have been a coup – it would have been a legal transfer of power. And to think that there are rumors circulating that Obama has a law degree.

By Bob Parks Wednesday, July 1, 2009 Not surprisingly, the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled unanimously that Al Franken legally and fairly defeated Norm Coleman for United States Senate. I’m still not buying it…

The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled today that Democrat Al Franken won the U.S. Senate election and said he was entitled to an election certificate that would lead to him being seated in the Senate.

“Affirmed,” wrote the Supreme Court, unanimously rejecting Republican Norm Coleman’s claims that inconsistent practices by local elections officials and wrong decisions by a lower court had denied him victory.

Obama’s Independence Day Apology

John Lillpop

By John Lillpop Wednesday, July 1, 2009 Given Barack Obama’s penchant for tearing down America and Americans at every possible opportunity, do not be surprised if the Anointed One delivers an apology for the 4th of July.

An Obama Independence Day apology speech might sound something like this:

My Fellow World Citizens:

Two hundred thirty three years ago, on July 4, 1776, a small band of angry white Christian males declared their independence and established a new nation, one that was supposed to bring hope and comfort to human kind all across the world.

A U.S./U.N. Plot Against Anti-Communist Honduras

A U.S./U.N. Plot Against Anti-Communist Honduras

By Cliff Kincaid Thursday, July 2, 2009 The people of Honduras are pleading for media fairness and understanding of how they saved their democratic system of government from an international conspiracy based in Venezuela and Cuba. In desperate messages to the outside world, Hondurans want America to know they do not want former President Manuel “Mel” Zelaya returned to power through the intervention of the United States and the United Nations.

On Tuesday the leftist governments of Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez sponsored a United Nations resolution that condemned the people of Honduras for resisting the spread of communism by evicting a would-be dictator. Many people in Honduras view “Mel” as a puppet of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, who is destroying the democratic system and the opposition in that country.

In Honduras, demonstrators have appealed to the media to tell the truth. One sign said in Spanish: “CNN: That the entire world opens its eyes…Honduras wants peace not a dictatorship.”

Donald Trump: OPEC is ‘Sucking the blood out of the country’

Fred Dardick Bio

By Fred Dardick Tuesday, June 30, 2009 Donald Trump went on the Fox News program On the Record with Greta Van Susteren on Monday to discuss, among other things, the state of oil prices in the United States. When asked what he thought about economic prospects for the nation, Mr. Trump answered “OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) is raising oil prices and absolutely draining and sucking the blood out of the country. There’s no reason for $70 oil.”

Is it clear yet what worldview Obama is coming from?

Dr. Laurie Roth Bio

By Dr. Laurie Roth Wednesday, July 1, 2009 You have several practical examples which paint a vivid picture of Obama’s foreign policy and who he naturally aligns himself with.  I give you his dealings with Honduras, Iran, Hamas and N. Korea to begin with.

It is clear by Obama’s actions, (forget his words and positioning) that he sympathizes with dictatorships, Islamic regimes and tyrants over “the people” “freedom” and “rights.” How can we avoid the news about the ouster of of the Honduran leader Manual Zelaya, that is in between the endless Michael Jackson news?  Obama and the UN have stood behind Zelaya’s return.  Never mind that he was thrown out after he challenged his country’s very constitution.  The Supreme Court, Congress and the military viewed his efforts at planning a ballot to manipulate change in the constitution as illegal.

“Now suppose you’re the president, Jones told them, and the requests come into the White House for yet more force. How do you think Obama might look at this? Jones asked, casting his eyes around the colonels. How do you think he might feel? Jones let the question hang in the air-conditioned, fluorescent-lighted room. Nicholson and the colonels said nothing. Well, Jones went on, after all those additional troops, 17,000 plus 4,000 more, if there were new requests for force now, the president would quite likely have “a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment.”

Outpouring of support for Dallas vet whose flags were torched

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 2, 2009 12:12 PM
They haven’t found the culprits yet who burned the U.S. and military flags of a former Marine in north Dallas this week.

But support and offers to replace the flags have poured in.

Avi Selk of the Dallas Morning News has the follow-up:

Our little story about a few front-porch flags that got burned in Far North Dallas has sparked a firestorm of attention since it ran on Tuesday.

The story, which my editor discovered from a single line in an obscure police report, (”UNK SUSP BURNED USA FLAG MOUNTED IN FRONT OF COMP RESIDENCE”) has also grabbed the attention of nearly every TV station in Dallas and the Associated Press. It’s also made the rounds on Twitter and caught the eye of conservative blogger Michelle Malkin.

Federal Agents Conducting House by House Gun Checks

Federal Agents Conducting House by House Gun Checks

HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) agents are in the midst of  fanning out across Texas in order to conduct house by house investigations into what the agency deems numerous  “suspicious” firearms transactions and as a means to combat “narco-terrorism” along the U.S. /Mexican border.

In fact, the “suspicious” transaction searches are so loosely defined, that BATF agents ended up questioning a Houston area pastor who previously purchased two handguns for target practice, which is then flippantly chalked up as “hard to believe”. Additionally, interagency cooperation between the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the BATF have led to  warrantless airplane surveillance of vehicles along the border.

After speaking to five offices within the agencies and being told by several agents they felt “uncomfortable” with my line of questioning, Special Agent, Public Information Officer Perot of the BATF, indicated that aerial surveillance does not require a warrant due to it taking place with the “public sphere” thereby meaning individuals should have no expectation of privacy…

Orly Taitz questions Obama’s citizenship in Jeff City; receives support from 5 state lawmakers

JEFFERSON CITY | There’s never a dull day in the capital city.

Today’s evidence: a visit from Orly Taitz , the California dentist/lawyer (and black belt in Tae Kwon Do!) who’s filed lawsuits disputing President Barack Obama’s citizenship.

Taitz spoke to a crowd of about 40 at a hotel here this afternoon, and in a little over an hour threw a kitchen sink’s worth of accusations at the president.

To wit: Obama has failed to produce a true copy of his Hawaii birth certificate; the birth documentation he has produced may be a forgery; Obama may have forged his selective service documents; he may have as many as 25 social security numbers; one of those numbers may have originated in Connecticut and indicates he’s over 100 years old; he may have enrolled at Occidental College as a foreign exchange student; he may be guilty of wire fraud, social security fraud, mail fraud and other unspecified fraudulent acts related to his presidential campaign and various charitable organizations; and he may have held closed-door meetings with the U.S. Supreme Court in which he intimidated them into rejecting any cases challenging his citizenship.

Now it’s an autographed photograph for sale

The eBay auction seller who has tried multiple times to sell an allegedly genuine copy of Barack Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ from Mombasa, Kenya, now is offering for sale a photograph of several individuals who reportedly contributed to the strategy through which the still-unproven documented was obtained.

And the seller, identified as “colmado_naranja,” who claims to have obtained the document while traveling Africa, suggested more information will be revealed on a YouTube video that is planned.

“My user name is InspectorSmith. I’ve had the account for some time. I have never uploaded anything. … So this will be the first time that I’ve ever uploaded anything. So you’ll get your document yet, up close and personal,” the seller wrote on the latest eBay posting.
