The U.S. government has bought 195 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine for a possible autumn vaccination campaign, a U.S. federal official said on Thursday.The U.S. Health and Human Services department has also contracted for 120 million doses of adjuvant, a compound to stretch the number of doses of vaccine needed

They are called birthers a term which is meant to be derisive. A birther is anyone who demands that Barack Hussein Obama cease stonewalling on the issue of his birth certificate and release the original vaulted certificate so that his citizenship can be confirmed. Don’t worry the Revolutionaries of our country’s birth were called insurrectionist by the British government so birthers are in good company.

I reject the term birther. People who are attempting to protect the Constitution and seek truth should be honored as patriots. People who oppose them are the crackpots because they work against theirs and their country’s own interest whether they know it or not. Therefore I will honor what they derisively call birthers I will call Truthers! (see 3min. video)

Democrats are preventing Republican House Members from sending their constituents a mailing that is critical of the majority’s health care reform plan, blocking the mailing by alleging that it is inaccurate.
House Republicans are crying foul and claiming that the Democrats are using their majority to prevent GOP Members from communicating with their constituents.
The dispute centers on a chart created by Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Republican staff of the Joint Economic Committee to illustrate the organization of the Democratic health care plan.

The King’s “new suit of clothes” is turning out to be a Kenyan loincloth.

People are seeing Barack Obama as the fraud he is. His popularity is going south. Although he got 53% of the popular vote and a huge Electoral victory, things have changed. Yes they danced on the streets of Harlem and toasted in the liberal big cities, but that’s changed. George Bush is gone but so are the cheers. Hope has turned to sour change.

Adieu To A Tough Broad…

About ten days before she died a few summers back, my mother decided to check out of the hospital. The hospital folks, well intended but doggedly bureaucratic, told her she couldn’t go.
They didn’t know my mother.  She reminded them that this was America, damn it, and she could do any fool thing she wanted.
And so she did.  She went home.  And there for the last week or so of her life, she sat upright on her LA-Z boy recliner, watching Jeopardy, playing cards and Scrabble, presiding,  finally,  like the grand dame she had always presumed to be, and complaining no more than if she had a head cold.
ALTHOUGH UNIQUE IN MANY WAYS, my mother represents a class of women celebrated by no one save for their own families, the tough broad.

A new report from Republicans on a House oversight committee accuses ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption and calls for a criminal investigation into the advocacy group.

ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, has been under constant fire from conservatives since last year for its support of Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy and its planned participation in next year’s 2010 census.

But the report — to be released Thursday by Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Issa’s GOP colleagues — offers the first detailed account of the allegations that have dogged the organization in recent months.

Why won’t Michele Bachmann come clean about her views on President Obama’s birth certificate? For a congresswoman who flaunts suspicions about the U.S. Census, foreign currencies, the Federal Reserve and Obama’s allegedly “anti-American views,” she’s been strangely silent on the rampant (and roundly disproven) rumor spread by so-called “birthers” that Obama was born outside the United States.

Bachmann isn’t yet, for example, counted among the 10 Republican co-sponsors of U.S. Rep. Bill Posey’s H.R. 1503, a bill requiring presidential candidates to provide copies of their birth certificates. But a lot of her friends are, as Daniel Nichanian at Campaign Diaries points out:

RUSH: Now, look I understand it, folks, I totally understand it, but I gotta caution you again. I think people are way too giddy out there on this health care business. I think Obama’s close to going over the edge. I hope nobody talks about his big ears within his earshot today, because this is a guy who grew up charmed, he grew up never laughed at, never teased, never kidded, and probably never criticized. He doesn’t deal with this very well, and if somebody within his earshot today happens to talk about his big ears it could push him over the edge, so don’t get, in our giddiness out there, thinking this health care thing is defeated, it isn’t, he’s gonna try to win over these Blue Dog Democrats, these so-called Blue Dog Democrats. All right, now, the president of the United States says, ladies and gentlemen, that they rescued the economy. The poll numbers are dropping here. There’s an AP-GFK poll and it now shows that a majority of Americans are back to thinking that the country is headed in the wrong direction after a fleeting period in which more thought it was on the right track. The number of people who think Obama can improve the economy is down 19 percentage points from days just before his inauguration. Ditto for expectations about creating jobs. This is where the Waterloo is, not just in health care. Now, he’s out there, the question was asked yesterday by a caller, and it is a great question to keep asking, “What has Obama done for you? What have the liberal Democrats done for you?”
