Clearly, if you oppose fascism, Marxism, totalitarianism, socialized medicine, government ownership and control of private industry and a central power rushing to bankrupt the nation by “wasting the labors of the people under the false pretense of taking care of them,” as Thomas Jefferson put it, you are a “racist” according to Obama and his many mindless minions.

Yes, I still am on sabbatical, but I just had to interrupt my sojourn with the following observations, which simply cannot wait. Allow me to skip my normal sarcasm and vitriol and simply cut to the chase:
There may still be some side drafts and brief upticks, but I suspect that, finally, we are on the massive downslope of Depression II. Just like Depression I, which began in 1929, but seemed to peter out just before really heading down in 1931/1932, we now are on schedule for part two of what began in 2007 this is the main event, folks.
The normally unflappable WhirlyBen Bernanke (Fed Chairman) was visibly sweating and stammering during Congressional testimony earlier this week.
Yesterday, little Timmie Geithner (US Treasury Secretary) very nearly had a total meltdown in front of news cameras.

The Obama administration is ACTUALLY encouraging pro healthcare reform activists to confront the grass roots anti Healthcare Reform Protesters. He, and his high powered surrogates are actually directing leftist mobs (hmmm Union Thugs??) to get into the faces of American people exercising their constitutional right to protest.
I can see another Lexington and Concord event happening very soon; even by the end of August.
This debate is degenerating into something very ugly and the phony “UNITER” appears to be looking for a fight.

This is the moment our movement was built for. For one month, the fight for health insurance reform leaves the backrooms of Washington, D.C., and returns to communities across America. Throughout August, members of Congress are back home, where the hands they shake and the voices they hear will not belong to lobbyists, but to people like you.
Home is where we’re strongest. We didn’t win last year’s election together at a committee hearing in D.C. We won it on the doorsteps and the phone lines, at the softball games and the town meetings, and in every part of this great country where people gather to talk about what matters most. And if you’re willing to step up once again, that’s exactly where we’re going to win this historic campaign for the guaranteed, affordable health insurance that every American deserves.
There are those who profit from the status quo, or see this debate as a political game, and they will stop at nothing to block reform. They are filling the airwaves and the internet with outrageous falsehoods to scare people into opposing change. And some people, not surprisingly, are getting pretty nervous. So we’ve got to get out there, fight lies with truth, and set the record straight.[Fight the truth with lies is more like it...ed]
That’s why Organizing for America is putting together thousands of events this month where you can reach out to neighbors, show your support, and make certain your members of Congress know that you’re counting on them to act.
But these canvasses, town halls, and gatherings only make a difference if you turn up to knock on doors, share your views, and show your support. So here’s what I need from you: Can you commit to join at least one event in your community this month?
In politics, there’s a rule that says when you ask people to get involved, always tell them it’ll be easy. Well, let’s be honest here: Passing comprehensive health insurance reform will not be easy. Every President since Harry Truman has talked about it, and the most powerful and experienced lobbyists in Washington stand in the way.
But every day we don’t act, Americans watch their premiums rise three times faster than wages, small businesses and families are pushed towards bankruptcy, and 14,000 people lose their coverage entirely. The cost of inaction is simply too much for the people of this nation to bear.
So yes, fixing this crisis will not be easy. Our opponents will attack us every day for daring to try. It will require time, and hard work, and there will be days when we don’t know if we have anything more to give. But there comes a moment when we all have to choose between doing what’s easy, and doing what’s right.

Remember back during the Carter years when that good ol’ president from Georgia was frightened by a killer rabbit? Remember how real men everywhere ridiculed the Man from Plains for being afraid of rabbits? With that incident in mind, I cannot help but feel that the entire, unhinged left is currently in a state of a fear of rabbits. The left is collectively unmanning itself over fear of “the right,” a political grouping that is essentially harmless when compared to the level of faux alarm on the left or even when compared to themselves in years past.

Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) has made it clear in the extreme that the Democrat Party will accept no disagreement from anyone–including the American people–to ObamaCare.
Schumer said that “one way or another” the Democrats would push Socio-fascist ObamaCare through by the “end of the year,” despite exponentially increasing bi-partisan opposition from the American people. On CBS’ Face the Nation last Sunday, Schumer said:
“Make no mistake about it, the president is for this strongly. There will be a public option in the final bill.” Bear in mind, a public “option” is no option at all. On page 16-Sec. 102 of H.R. 3200 (the House version of ObamaCare), which begins “Protecting the Choice to Keep Private Coverage,” it is stated emphatically (lines 3-26) that it “OUTLAWS PRIVATE INSURANCE by forbidding enrollment after HR 3022 is passed into law.”

Since his arrival at the White House, Barack Obama has been touted as `King of the World’ rather than USA president.
As King of the World, does Obama really need born-in-USA status? On the occasion of their president’s 48th birthday yesterday, Americans still don’t know for certain from whence he came, only where he is leading them.
There was a mammoth picture of the Birthday Boy on display outside the White House, but no pictures of him pursing his lips to blow out the candles on a birthday cake, which may have served as a reminder that this is a president already well on his way to blowing out the lights of the Free World.
Thus far the only `proof’ of Obama’s murky past comes from the romantic version of his life as spun in his book, Dreams of My Father.
Some people’s dreams are other folk’s nightmares.

In what was perhaps an admission that his core supporters are less than entirely sane, Fox News’ Glenn Beck implored his viewers Monday night not to resort to violence.
Beck told viewers to “let Congress know that you are watching them like a hawk… you let them feel your burning gaze on them. But … your interaction with them needs to be respectful, polite, forceful and peaceful.”
Beck suggested that one act of (presumably right-wing extremist) violence could upend the conservative opposition to President Barack Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress.

Sgt. Crowley should have said “NO” to President Obama’s invitation to come to the White House and have a beer with him and Professor Gates. Why do I say this? I say it because I do not think Sgt. Crowley is an experienced game player. That which was an incident has turned into a game–a full-fledged Harvard Management System, Nobel-Prize-winning type of game–and the policeman will very likely be the loser. What seems to have started as an incident between a black Harvard professor and the Cambridge police sergeant has is now becoming a practical demonstration of game theory and conflict resolution.
Obviously the police sergeant does not know he is playing a game. If he did he would have politely refused the invitation of President Obama, saying something such as, “Thank you for the invitation, Mr. President. However, I do not care to have a social relationship with Professor Gates. I am very sorry, I must decline.”
If he had done this he would not have put himself into the position of being pressured into making a ‘mutual apology.’ There is nothing to gain for Sgt. Crowley if he is maneuvered into having a hand-shaking relationship with Professor Gates. Why would he want it?

Once a subterranean enthusiasm, birther talk is bubbling up on TV and in Congress. Several significant media figures, including Lou Dobbs of CNN and Glenn Beck of Fox News, have given birtherism a sympathetic hearing, and 10 House Republicans co-sponsored a birther-backed bill this month that would require prospective presidential candidates to release their birth certificates before running. The reaction to all this activity has been a mix of glee from Democrats, dread from mainstream Republicans, and occasional spasms of fear-mongering, as when Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Law Center told NPR that such conspiracy theories might presage another Oklahoma City bombing.

It was bad enough that f ederal immigration officials blamed an Arizona sheriff for releasing illegal immigrants when the feds themselves actually had ordered the release. What’s worse is that releasing illegals is becoming official policy and the feds have issued a gag order to try to stop the sheriff from telling the public about it.
The spat between controversial Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surfaced on July 23 and 24 when the sheriff’s deputies were ordered by ICE officials to release illegal immigrants who had been caught in a broader criminal sweep. Sheriff Arpaio complained to the media; a federal spokesman claimed the release was the sheriff’s fault; and the sheriff then released audiotapes proving that ICE officials, not he, had ordered the release.
Caught looking foolish, ICE officials threatened to withdraw the sheriff’s authority to enforce any immigration laws because the sheriff had violated a ban on contacting the media without first obtaining approval from the Department of Homeland Security, which is ICE’s parent agency.
