Now Glenn Beck slams Obama birth issue
‘What, are you going to take him out of office? You can’t do that’

WorldNetDaily

Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck says people should be focusing on the goals President Obama is pursuing and the way he is reaching them instead of questioning his eligibility to be president.

“I have to tell you, the – I mean, first of all, the birther thing, what are you going to do. Even if it was true, what, are you going to take him out of office?” he said today on his radio show. “You can’t do that.”

Beck’s comments came during a segment when columnist Michelle Malkin was discussing the dangers of the dozens of “czars” appointed by Obama to run various projects.

Beck calls the “czars” “truly frightening.”

(Story continues below)

“Well, there are upwards of 44 of them now, at least that’s the count of the watchdogs in the blogosphere that have been installed into office through presidential appointment and it is, as you’ve said on your show and I’ve said many times over the course of the last six months, a complete shadow government. And it’s not just the amount of them. It’s also the superfluousness. We all know that there have been czars in past administrations, Homeland Security czar, drug czar, et cetera, but there are so many extra layers here of overlords who have usurped authority from confirmed cabinet appointments, and this includes a very shady character, Adolfo Carrion, who was the Bronx borough president and delivered Latino votes to Obama in that neighborhood. This guy is now the urban czar who has many more powers over the already confirmed Housing and Urban Development secretary Shaun Donovan,” Malkin said.

“One, it was a payoff and two, it’s a way for Adolfo Carrion to carry out the same kind of ‘pay for play’ deals that he specialized in when he was the Bronx borough president. Now he can use millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grants to pay off developers who are seeking favors from the Obama administration,” she said. “That’s just one example.”

Greece has become the latest country to announce it will enforce a mandatory swine flu vaccination program, despite fears about the jabs containing mercury and squalene.

Despite the fact that there have been no deaths whatsoever from swine flu in the Mediterranean country, the Greek government has resolved to immunize its entire population of 12 million, all but guaranteeing that several thousand at least will be injured or be killed by the vaccine which is set to be fast tracked in Europe with no human testing at all.

Video segment from Glenn Beck on Change Blindness. He claims Americans are currently suffering from Change Blindness due to the intentional rapidity and far ranging scope with which legislation is being proposed and enacted to change our country….

According to Wikipedia, “In visual perception, change blindness is the phenomenon that occurs when a person viewing a visual scene apparently fails to detect large changes in the scene. For change blindness to occur, the change in the scene typically has to coincide with some visual disruption such as a saccade (eye movement) or a brief obscuration of the observed scene or image. When looking at still images, a viewer can experience change blindness if part of the image changes.”

Overweight soldiers holding the Army back in Afghanistan, leaked memo claims

According to Major Brian Dupree, the British Army is in danger of losing its “warrior ethos” as soldiers skip physical training sessions and obesity in the forces increases.

Major Dupree, of the Physical Training Corps, said the increase in soldiers who are “unfit to deploy” is linked to an “indifferent” attitude to physical fitness.

……….

He says that even the minimum two to three hours of physical fitness a week are being ignored as the number of soldiers classified as Personnel Unfit to Deploy (PUD) has risen to 3,860 with a further 8,190 regarded as being of “limited deployability” for medical reasons.

………….

He concludes that the army has “not consistently maintained our standards of physical fitness” and needs to “reinvigorate a warrior ethos and a culture of being fit”.

Not the last word on Obama’s birth Joseph Farah

August 03, 2009 1:00 am Eastern

© 2009 About one thing you can be certain: Any time someone has the audacity to write a column proclaiming it is the “last word” about a subject, it’s sure to prompt rebuttals.

On July 30, James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal tried his best to put the final nail in the coffin of the “birther” corpse. But rumors of the death of the Barack Obama eligibility story were, as Mark Twain would say, greatly exaggerated.

From his comfortable perch on the south side of Manhattan, Taranto apparently holds the view that so-called “birthers” – a name derisively slapped on all those who believe Obama should simply release his long-form birth certificate for the good of the country and to settle growing doubts about his status as a legal president – are part of a cohesive movement, a monolithic entity, some kind organized conspiracy, if you will.

For the past decade, the sight of Western liberals gathering in defense of terrorists seeking to impose a medieval patriarchal cult on the rest of the world by force seems incongruously odd. What is there about Islam that is so appealing to the erstwhile defenders of minorities, women and gays– all of whom have next to no rights under Islam?

Making sense of the birther conspiracy theorists

Jesse Walker | July 31, 2009

If you’re obsessed with the president’s birth certificate, the political class is now obsessed with you. Over the course of July, the media have devoted ever more attention to birthers, that unruly faction obsessed with the idea that Barack Obama and his allies are covering up the true circumstances of his birth. The exact details vary from theorist to theorist, but the usual payoff is that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii, and therefore is ineligible for the presidency.

In today’s Examiner investigative reporter Byron York reviews what’s known and what isn’t about the circumstances surrounding the firing of the Inspector General charged with overseeing Americorps, the mismanaged agency that is one of President Obama’s favorite programs.

No one’s talking but the heat’s on. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), ranking Republicans on the Senate Judiciary and House Oversight and Government Reform committees, are asking questions and demanding hearings into the affair that concerns an $850,000 Americorps grant allegedly misused by its recipient, Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento and an Obama friend. IG Gerald Walpin was fired when he objected to Justice Department actions that let Johnson off the hook.

Alinsky’s tactics were based, not on Stalin’s revolutionary violence, but on the Neo-Marxist strategies of  Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Communist. Relying on gradualism, infiltration and the dialectic process rather than a bloody revolution, Gramsci’s transformational Marxism was so subtle that few even noticed the deliberate changes.

Is Hillary Revolting?
The American Thinker ^ | August 01, 2009 | James Lewis

Don’t answer that. I should have said: “Is Hillary Rebelling?”

There. That’s it.

This is an “exclusive” from the NY Daily News — a leak from the Clintons’ permanent campaign staff. It proclaims that:

“Hillary Clinton’s camp is election-ready.”

Whaat? I thought we just had one of those.

But no,

“Hillary Clinton says running for office isn’t on her “radar,” but she still has an eight-person political team and sports two overflowing campaign war chests. … Clinton’s failed presidential bid is now $1 million in the black, and her old Senate campaign committee has $2.1 million in the bank, much of it transferred in from the presidential account.”

Hmmm. Does Obama know he has a traitor in his ranks?

Actually Hillary started her renewed campaign last Sunday. Mark that on your political calendar: July 26, 2009. Before last weekend, she was hard to find in the headlines. But now we know that she is MilitantlyAgainst Iranian Nukes.

Translation: All you Jewish Democrats, send your money to Hillary Clinton’s war chest to keep Obama from kissing the hem of the Ayatollahs.

Until now Mrs. Clinton was effectively checkmated by Obama and the Gang from Chicago. Hillary Clinton is our SecState in title, but in his Soviet fashion Obama appointed multiple Commissars to keep an eye on her. So we have Dennis Ross for the Middle East (oops! just got fired for being too pro-Israel), George Mitchell, Rahm Emanuel, and one Barry Soetoro Barack Hussein Obama, President of the Politburo and General Savior of Humanity. They all do FoPo, when they have a moment to spare from really important stuff.

And then there’s Veep Joe, the official Federal Commissar for Comedy Relief, who makes up his own foreign policy on the spot. Says Joe about Russia, “They’re … clinging to something

Protection Rackets

In Afghanistan, Americans should deploy Pvt. Social Worker and Maj. Sociologist.

By Christopher Dickey

Long ago and far away in the wars of Central America, I learned from a Guatemalan general (who had been trained by the French in Algeria and coached by the Israelis) that a war against guerrillas is essentially a protection racket. Civilians are helpless and indecisive, caught between the government forces and the insurgents, and thus unreliable. They might help you in the morning, then help your enemy in the evening. So the message the government has to send is as clear as it is cruel: we can protect you from the guerrillas, but the guerrillas cannot protect you from us—and you’ve got to choose.

U.S. Adviser’s Blunt Memo On Iraq: Time ‘To Go Home’

U.S. Adviser’s Blunt Memo On Iraq: Time ‘To Go Home’

By Michael R. Gordon

WASHINGTON — A senior American military adviser in Baghdad has concluded in an unusually blunt memo that Iraqi forces suffer from entrenched deficiencies but are now able to protect the Iraqi government, and that it is time “for the U.S. to declare victory and go home.”

The memo offers a look at tensions that emerged between Iraqi and American military officers at a sensitive moment when American combat troops met a June 30 deadline to withdraw from Iraq’s cities, the first step toward an advisory role. The Iraqi government’s forceful moves to assert authority have concerned some American officers, though senior American officials insisted that cooperation had improved.

Prepared by Col. Timothy R. Reese, an adviser to the Iraqi military’s Baghdad command, the memorandum details Iraqi military weaknesses in scathing language, including corruption, poor management and the inability to resist Shiite political pressure. Extending the American military presence beyond August 2010, he argues, will do little to improve the Iraqis’ military performance while fueling growing resentment of Americans.

“As the old saying goes, ‘Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days,’” Colonel Reese wrote. “Since the signing of the 2009 Security Agreement, we are guests in Iraq, and after six years in Iraq, we now smell bad to the Iraqi nose.”

Those conclusions are not shared by the senior American commander in Iraq, Gen. Ray Odierno, and his recommendation for an accelerated troop withdrawal is at odds with the timetable approved by President Obama.

A spokeswoman for General Odierno said that the memo did not reflect the official stance of the United States military and was not intended for a broad audience, and that some of the problems the memo referred to had been solved since its writing in early July.

Still, the memo opens a rare window into a debate among American military officers about how active the American role should be in Iraq and for how long. While some in the military endorse Colonel Reese’s assessment, other officers say that American forces need to stay in Iraq for the next couple of years as the Iraqis struggle with heightened tensions between the Kurds and Arabs, insurgent attacks in and around Mosul and checking authoritarian tendencies of the Iraqi government.

“We now have an Iraqi government that has gained its balance and thinks it knows how to ride the bike in the race,” Colonel Reese wrote. “And in fact they probably do know how to ride, at least well enough for the road they are on against their current competitors. Our hand on the back of the seat is holding them back and causing resentment. We need to let go before we both tumble to the ground.”

WorldNetDaily

In a recent telephone poll conducted by Research 2000 for the website Daily Kos, 58 percent of Republican respondents when asked if Barack Obama was born in the USA answered “no” or “not sure.”

The Daily Kos, which calls itself “the largest progressive community blog in the United States,” nonetheless found a reported 527 Republicans and 601 independents to accompany its 743 Democrats in answering the question.

Among Republicans, 28 percent answered they believe Obama was born outside the U.S., while 30 percent answered “not sure.” Among independents, 83 percent affirmed their belief that the president was born in the U.S., while an overwhelming 93 percent of Democrats insisted it is so.

Join the petition campaign to demand President Obama resolve the question by revealing his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!

While the disparity between Republicans and Democrats is massive, the poll also demonstrated that where respondents live also makes a significant difference.

(Story continues below)

According to the website’s fine print, “A total of 2,400 adults nationally were interviewed by telephone. A cross-section of calls was made into each state in the country in order to reflect the adult population nationally.”

Today, I spoke briefly with a liberal member of California’s education establishment (forgive the obvious tautology), who told me that his Berkeley home had recently been broken into while he was in Washington, D.C. It’s been a wake-up call, he said. We were too lax. We’ll be putting in a security-alarm system. And then came the clincher: “This is a very diverse neighborhood.”

Now what would possibly be the relevance of that euphemism to the likelihood of getting burgled, I wonder?

Wal-Mart weighs role in U.S. H1N1 vaccination plans

ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) – Wal-Mart Stores Inc is discussing with U.S. health officials the possibility of putting vaccination sites at some of its stores for an H1N1 swine flu inoculation campaign this fall, a company official said on Thursday.

Federal officials met with Wal-Mart executives on Wednesday in Arkansas to discuss the issue, Dr. John Agwunobi, president of health and wellness for Wal-Mart U.S., told public health leaders at a conference in Orlando.

“We are in discussions with CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and others in local and state departments to see what role we might play,” Agwunobi said. “It might be we are a site. It may be help with logistics and with supply chain.”
