Suggesting that President Obama is creating a private army to seize complete control of the government and declare himself dictator might be considered fighting words in Democratic circles.

But in Northeast Georgia, all it means is U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, gave another speech.

Local Democrats say Broun embarrasses them, and some Republicans say he’s making them look bad, but in general, Broun’s latest warning about Obama’s alleged secret totalitarian plans elicited little more than a yawn.

“He’s really gone off the deep end,” Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Jane Kidd said. “People just say, ‘Well, crazy Paul is talking again. What else could it be?’ “

Broun – who in the past has compared Obama to Hitler, Castro and a Soviet ruler – told a Madison audience Wednesday that Obama “has the three things (a national police force, gun control and control of the press) that are necessary to establish an authoritarian government, and so we need to be ever-vigilant, because freedom is precious.”

ON THE MORNING OF THE ATTACKS on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with a million other readers of the New York Times including many who would never be able to read the paper again, I opened its pages to be confronted by a color photo showing a middle-aged couple holding hands and affecting a defiant look at the camera. The article was headlined in an irony that could not have been more poignant, “No Regrets For A Love Of Explosives.”

The couple pictured were Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, former leaders of the 1960s’ Weather Underground, America’s first terrorist cult. One of their bombing targets, as it happened, was the Pentagon.

Obama is worried about our national TEA Party tomorrow. The pictures of 500,000 patriotic Americans outside his window demanding our freedoms more than has his attention, it has him off balance and in panic mode.

His inspiration for a new bill of rights came from President Roosevelt’s 1944 proposal of a different, new set of bill of rights.

WND has learned that in April 2005, Sunstein opened up a conference at Yale Law School entitled “The Constitution in 2020,” which sought to change the nature and interpretation of the Constitution by that year.

It would seem that Beck has stolen the crown from Limbaugh. Just a few short months ago, Limbaugh was widely known as the man behind the strings of elected officials in the Republican party but it seems that he has now been replaced by another entertainer. This time, Glenn Beck, a television show host on the Fox cable network that calls itself a news network, often weeps and rails as he talks to his audience. He often contradicts his own words from one moment to the next and yet he has a viewership of some 3 million people, according to TV by the numbers beating out Bill O’Reilly.
