I would add, “Lie is Truth.”

The Nobel Committee has awarded the 2009 Peace Prize to President Obama, the person who started a new war in Pakistan, upped the war in Afghanistan, and continues to threaten Iran with attack unless Iran does what the US government demands and relinquishes its rights as a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty.

Putting the Mainstream Media Out of its Misery

The business model of the mainstream media is rapidly approaching the point at which it will become economically unsustainable. Ads and subscriptions are the primary revenue source for newspapers and magazines. The internet does advertising better and cheaper, both nationally and locally, and subscriptions increasingly make less sense when most publications share the same print content for free on their own websites. Ads are the only real revenue source for network newscasts, which likely would have stopped existing years ago if the Bush Administration had not bent the rules allowing them to air pharmaceutical ads. Dan Rather should have been thanking Bush for allowing him to keep his job reading copy off a teleprompter while wearing a serious expression, instead of plotting to force him out of office.

We saw this kind of seduction and bold takeover strategy by Castro in Cuba, Hitler in Germany, Mussolini and Stalin to name a few. They didn’t gain power so quickly by stating their plans to control all media, seize all guns, land and food supplies. They didn’t talk about the mass murders and torture to come once the seduction and distraction wore off. They engorged themselves on the societal worship they received while they planned their reigns of destruction and horror. Millions sat back and let them do it as they prayed for them!

McCain gave his famous, “Bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran” jingle? Yeah, real funny.

How easy it is to wave the flag for war when one hears this constant chant to “bomb Iran,” because if we don’t, Iran will obliterate Israel by dinner time. I would ask you: Is anyone giving a thought to just exactly what this means in real time and the consequences?
