Activists charge that Obama has spent millions to silence them in court. Not exactly, say the government’s lawyers. ### Is President Barack Obama spending millions of dollars to hide the truth about his citizenship? During Obama’s 2008 run for the White House, his campaign and a host of other credible sources repeatedly debunked the conspiracy theory that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii, and was thus ineligible to serve as president. But this failed to quell the “birther” movement, whose acolytes have filed more than 60 civil lawsuits challenging the president’s citizenship. None of these suits have gone anywhere…

Obama’s State of the Union insults intelligence of American people, U.S. Supreme CourtBarack Obama’s first State of the Union speech forfeited the trust and respect of the American people, and in fact that China calls the Mandate of Heaven: the social contract in which the leader’s utility to the people affirms his right to lead. A leader who tells half-truths and outright falsehoods forfeits his people’s trust and respect, and accordingly his right to be anything but a lame duck figurehead. Let’s begin with his half-truth about his health care agenda. Obama: Our approach would preserve the right of Americans…

There is a hearing going on right now in Santa Ana, CA. Obama’s attorneys are trying to have the case thrown out (why do you suppose that is?). The Judge, among other issues, stated that our troops need to know they are following the orders of a legitimate President and they are reviewing the laws surrounding treason. Obama, Pelosi, Reid et.al. need to be stopped at all costs. They will ram healthcare through, although it will be in a weakened form thanks to the Massachusetts “miracle.” They are working on yet another sneaky back room deal. 52 Senators signed a…

A prominent attorney who has shepherded a number of high-profile legal cases challenging Barack Obama’seligibility to be president has brought a “Quo Warranto” case to district court in Washington, D.C., alleging his allegiances have included Britain, Kenya and Indonesia. A Quo Warranto action, first recorded some 800 years ago, essentially is a demand to know by what authority a public figure is acting. The case, brought by California attorney Orly Taitz on behalf of herself, was assigned to Chief Judge Royce Lamberth. Taitz told WND that in a separate action she has filed a notice of appeal with the 9th…

At the beginning of the Obama administration a high staffer quipped, “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.” This was not a joke. All the reforms that advanced federal power, which we now know the administration had in mind, have come about during crises such as war or depressions. The Civil War concentrated political power in Washington, reducing the sovereignty of the states, and put money power under federal control in New York. The New Deal was possible only because of the 1930s Great Depression. The Cold War and 9-11 created conditions that allowed government to exert more authority…

Obama’s Strategy: Blame The Other Guys Frustrated by the GOP’s ability to block his initiatives, the president plans to make sure voters know who’s really to blame. By Doyle McManus January 31, 2010 The gloves are off. President Obama made a brief effort to sound bipartisan last week, saying he still hoped to find some ideas that both parties can embrace. But the affability was mostly tactical, and so were the professions of hope. The reigning emotion at the White House has been frustration — frustration that Obama’s mandate for change has eroded and that Republicans have been so successful…

President Obama’s address to the nation last week was Castro-esque, in length if not in tone.   This is a divide and conquer, get in you face, agitator President.  Cross him, and he’ll call you out publicly just like Chairman Mao used to do. QandO does a good summary of AP’s fact checking, giving it an overall thumbs up: Surprisingly, AP does it (credit where credit is due).  They cover the “spending freeze” (it would amount to less than 1% of the deficit) [...]  They also point out that the nonsense about the health care plan preserving the “right” of Americans…

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The scientist in Dr. David Dosa was skeptical when first told that Oscar, an aloof cat kept by a nursing home, regularly predicted patients’ deaths by snuggling alongside them in their final hours. Dosa’s doubts eroded after he and his colleagues tallied about 50 correct calls made by Oscar over five years, a process he explains in a book released this week, “Making Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat.” (Hyperion, $23.99) The feline’s bizarre talent astounds Dosa, but he finds Oscar’s real worth in his fierce insistence on being present when others turn…

Here is video of Obama Senior Adviser David Axelrod saying on Meet the Press today that he believes it was “totally appropriate” for President Obama to criticize the Supreme Court during his State of the Union Address, with them sitting right in front of them. Axelrod made the disingenuous argument that Obama made in his address that the recent Supreme Court ruling giving U.S. Corporations free speech rights would allow “foreign corporations” to influence U.S. elections. He said that even though the decision explicitly does not allow that to take place. . . . (VIDEO)

A top White House adviser says it’s gotten to the point where almost any unusual reaction or outburst to a speech by President Barack Obama in the House chamber isn’t really that unusual. Obama aide David Axelrod was talking about Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s reaction to Obama’s State of the Union address last week. The justice made a dismissive face, shook his head repeatedly and appeared to mouth the words “not true” or possibly “simply not true” when Obama criticized the high court over a campaign finance ruling. Axelrod says that “in this weird political season, we have become…

This further demonstrates that she is both a liar and a fraud, given her recent prognostications to the contrary. She should be pleased that Democrat voters are not the least put off by lies, corruption, racism, sexism, or incompetence. Her re-election is assured. To the point: After publicly, and one can be sure privately, dismissing Republicans as excess and unwanted baggage in both Houses, the Democrats must now turn to them as supplicants. …”For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light…” One of the most common characteristics of the so-called near-death experience is encountering a being of light. This being is said to emanate love and warmth. It has been claimed by numerous (not all) individuals who have had alleged near-death experiences that the being of light they encountered was none other than Jesus Christ. As appealing as the idea may initially sound, this identification seems to be flawed in view of the fact that the so-called being of light typically says and does things contrary to the Christ of the…

In addition, there have been other Senate votes since Scott Brown was elected as Massachusetts senator that Kirk cast a vote. Tea Party Patriots: Millions of average Americans fed up with elitists on both sides of the political aisle

    When Profit Trumps Patriotism

By JB Williams  Friday, January 29, 2010

The first major effort to bring Tea Party, 912 and town hall folks together at a convention in Nashville, Tenn. has devolved into a messy situation which threatens the image of the patriot movement overall.

TPM (Talking Points Memo) reports“It looks like Sarah Palin may be left holding the bag at a Tea Party event that almost no one else in the movement wants anything to do with.”—“the convention’s two other Republican speakers, Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee backed out in quick succession, with Blackburn declaring: “It’s a ‘We the people’ event and I think sometimes it’s become about ‘I the organizer,’ for the organizer.”

American Liberty Alliance and National Precinct Alliance had also withdrawn earlier, citing concerns over financial arrangements for the confab, and questioning whether it represents the true grassroots spirit of the Tea Party movement. Tea Party Express, a group reportedly created by a GOP consulting firm, also pulled out of the event yesterday, stating that they had no concerns with the quality of the event.

The event organizer, Nashville Attorney Judson Phillips, has repeatedly defended his decision to form a privately held for-profit corporation instead of a non-profit organization to host the event. Fox News has been supportive of Phillips’ attempt to profit on the volunteer patriotism of others, but most media outlets have been critical.

    Conquering Winds
Those who witnessed Barack Obama deliver his state of the union address could not escape his egregious arrogance and his totalistic pronouncements. It was an act of a bully who dared those who take exception to his policies and his stated goals to act upon their genuinely felt reservations. He browbeat all present, including the members of the Supreme Court, and the military whom he challenged with spit in the eye haughtiness. He made no bones about the fact that he…..

With all due disrespect Mr. President!

The official state of our union is disarray… thanks almost exclusively to you and your less-than-American belief system and equally anti-American cohorts in congress.

Had your elitist political friends not forced banks to make bad loans under your Community Reinvestment Act, which labels banks not willing to make bad loans “racists,” the mortgage industry would not have made bad loans and the securities the government sold, supported by a book of bad Fannie and Freddie backed loans, would not have ended in financial calamity for the entire US economy.

Justice Samuel Alito let a pained expression pass his face and muttered, “Not true.” His reaction to President Barack Obama’s demagogic attack on the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision aptly summed up the entire State of the Union address. Obama warned that the decision striking down restrictions on corporate spending opened “the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections.” But the court explicitly left untouched a statute that bans election spending by foreign corporations, even “indirectly.” There isn’t even a “loophole” for U.S. subsidiaries of foreign firms, as the White House…

I popped off with a wise crack one day during a classroom lecture in seventh grade. The year was 1959. I don’t even remember what I said now, but several of my classmates laughed aloud. Instead of telling me to stop by his desk for a little chat following dismissal, the teacher had me stand and hold a stack of books in each hand, arms fully extended from my sides. When I was in what he thought was enough pain and embarrassment for my transgression I was allowed to sit down. I recall feeling shame beyond words as my classmates…

After the SOTU last night, I thought it appropriate that we all review just who is Barack Hussein Obama. His hostile demeanor and veiled contempt were there for all to see. His Narcissistic Personality Disorder defenses are getting chipped away and we are seeing the real Obama. Pretty scary. . . This unauthorized biography is long, 440 pages, but is well worth the read. It was available before the election. Needless to say, it was covered up, and had it been known, would have changed the election results. I ran into it in January, 2009 and frankly was shocked to…

Now we know why the Supreme Court doesn’t want cameras in the courtroom. At Wednesday night’s State of the Union address, cameras cut to a reaction shot from the six justices in the audience when President Barack Obama mentioned the court’s Jan. 21 decision striking down limits on corporate political spending. The shot caught Justice Samuel Alito wincing, shaking his head and apparently mouthing “that’s not true,” as the president contended that the ruling would lead to a flood of special-interest money in elections, including money from foreign corporations. Justice Alito’s reaction departed from the traditional expressionless, stone-like pose the…

As expected, during his first State of the Union address, Barack Obama called for the lifting of the military’s “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy which would allow homosexuals to openly serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. The only problem for Obama and the far left wing of the Democratic Party is this would take an act of Congress because the Uniform Code of Military Justice would have to be twisted to allow Obama’s plan to be implemented. Most members of the U.S. Armed Forces, especially those in command positions, recognize that homosexuals openly serving in the military would have a…

Who in the world knows as much about you and your private thoughts as Google?

That’s the question Katherine Albrecht, radio talk-show host and spokeswoman for Startpage, a search engine that protects user privacy, is posing to American Internet surfers.

“It would blow people’s minds if they knew how much information the big search engines have on the American public,” she told WND. “In fact, their dossiers are so detailed they would probably be the envy of the KGB.”

Here is video of Charles Krauthammer saying that he believes Barack Obama has two choices tonight for the State of the Union. (Video)

Krauthammer said Obama can either “do a genuine pivot to the center, or he can fake it. I guess that he’s going to attempt the second.” He added that Obama “is not a hostage of the parties Left, he is a man of the Left.”

Krauthammer said Obama “believes he can still do the magic, he’s a man who believes that with his silver tongue he can talk ayatollahs into giving up their nukes, with his silver tongue he can talk America into believing that you can expand health care by thirty million people and cut cost at the same time, and a man who said even last week after the Massachusetts defeat said that it was because of an insufficiency of communication with the American people.”

Krauthammer said Obama is “reaching a level of obliviousness which approaches clinical denial.”

The Communist Party USA is making plans for its 29th National Convention to be held the weekend of May 21-23 at its national headquarters in New York City. The convention takes place at what has the potential to be a turning point in the history of our nation. Whether or not that turning point is reached, and the hopes of the 2008 elections are fulfilled, will depend on the building of a broad progressive labor-led democratic movement able to defeat Republican obstructionism and the far-right forces of reaction. Thus this cannot be an ordinary convention. The four months between now…

I am interested in the opinions of the deeper, more serious thinkers and scholars here concerning a matter of great concern to our nation. The questions I pose grew out of several Freeper responses to a Trevor Louden New Zeal BlogSpot posting I made recently.

For a long time now there has been no question in my mind about the intent of the current administration and many in the Congress – that intent being to finalize the transformation of our constitutional republic into a Communist/Socialist/Progressive/Marxist state. I reject any suggestion that Obama and his ilk are merely clueless in their destruction of our institutions and society – what is happening is clearly all planned and purposeful. If you still give them the benefit of the doubt in this regard, then you reject the premise on which my questions are based, and this thread is perhaps not for you.

I seek opinions regarding these simple questions:

    1. Is Obama (or others in his circle) committing treason, either by the narrow Constitutional definition found in Article III, or by broader, dictionary definitions?

    2. If so, which general areas or which specific acts constitute that treason?

    3. If not, what would he have to do, or which line in the “fundamental transformation” he is aiming at would he have to cross before you would consider it treason?

    4. Could he succeed in his “fundamental transformation” all the way to a Communist dictatorship, using the powers vested in him by his electoral win, and never commit treason?

    5. If you believe he is committing treason, or coming close, how would explain the universal lack of the use of that word by supposed conservatives in the media and those in the supposed opposition party?

I look forward to your thoughtful replies.

A twisted drama is playing out in England. The Chilcot Inquiry into the legality or illegality of Britain’s entry into the Iraq War grows uglier by the day. The words “War Criminal” and “War Crimes” are being waved about by Members of Parliament, anti-war activists and British journalists, all directed at former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair is scheduled to take the witness stand on Friday. The International Criminal Court (ICC) always waits just across the English Channel in The Netherlands. Members of the Obama administration must certainly be following this Inquiry very closely, especially Attorney General Eric Holder’s Office….

As WND reported, Obama’s order establishes a new “Council of Governors” designated to advise on the “synchronization and integration of state and federal military activities in the United States.” The recent order, posted on the White House website, was accompanied by the explanation that the group is to work “to protect our nation against all types of hazards.” It comes just weeks after…

On the left is an official White House photo taken on Feb. 10, 2009 “The President meets with the Democratic Blue Dog coalition in the State Dining Room”. I kept staring at the picture with a feeling that I have seen such a scene before. Then it struck me – Da Vinci’s Last Supper. There he was the leader in the middle of the table dinning with his followers. Only some of them have their own agenda…….It is great that the President realizes that the crowds are no longer with him and this may be his first and last mandate as president. The question for Barack Obama now is whether to follow his socialistic religious believes or follow the crowd. And because Obama is no Messiah I would suggest for him to follow the people. We the people elect our president to follow us. We don’t elect deities to enlighten us. Read the rest of the post here

In his first speech to the U.N. Security Council, U.S. President Barack Obama challenged members to think about the impact of a single nuclear bomb. He said: “Just one nuclear weapon exploded in a city — be it New York or Moscow, Tokyo or Beijing, London or Paris — could kill hundreds of thousands of people.” The consequences, he noted, would “destabilize our security, our economies, and our very way of life.” Before the Sept. 11, 2001, assault on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, who could have imagined that terrorists would mount an attack on the American homeland that…

President Obama’s response to the catastrophic political failures of his freshman year in office is to fight harder for more of the same. Presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett made the point explicitly on Sunday, asserting that the White House is “not hitting a reset button at all.” That reflects the kind of political savvy that handed the safest Democratic Senate seat in America to a Republican.

Mr. Obama seems unaware that he is part of the problem. The president credited Scott Brown’s historic Senate-race victory in Massachusetts last week to the same voter frustration that swept him into office in 2008. The glitch in that worldview is that Mr. Brown ran explicitly against the Obama agenda.

We should not be overly excited or deceived by the Scott Brown victory or any other conservative-moderate victories in 2010, however exciting as they might be. The true heart of the American people has NOT CHANGED for the better. It still is what it has always been over these last 50 years or so: licentious and haughty. Even now many conservatives have been subtly intoxicated and tainted by socialism, godlessness and the immoral practices of the Left (Jer. 6:16-17; Matt. 15:8, 18-20). For example, consider the Republican administration and congress of the last 8 years. Except for a core of… Read more…

Investigation shows how terrorists, fakers could pass as U.S. citizens When it comes to birth certificates, just because it’s official, doesn’t mean its real. A WND investigation has revealed that over the past three decades, changes to how the 50 states process vital documents have opened wide new avenues for nefarious parties to alter records and thus acquire fraudulent, but official birth certificates to falsely pass as U.S. citizens. Thanks to the states’ nearly exclusive reliance on digitalized vital records, a foreign terrorist, for example, wishing to obtain a U.S. passport for unhindered travel in and out of the country…

The nutshell version: The Cleveland Plain-Dealer spoke to “Ellie Light” on the phone this morning and got her to admit — in a “husky voice” — that her name’s really Barbara Brooks, she’s a nurse, and that she wrote the letters on her own initiative. She gave them some personal information to verify her existence and it checked out. Later today, another woman — not husky-voiced — called the Plain-Dealer and said that she’s Barbara Brooks and that it’s actually her husband, a Kossack named Winston Steward, who’s responsible…

Narcissists are high maintenance creatures with little hope of changing. The personality disorder is baked into them. Barack Obama shows the thin skinned nature of the narcissist in his responses to criticism. Narcissists also have no intestinal fortitude for ridicule. Not only does Barack Obama lash out at critics, he is entirely devoid of the kind of self deprecating humor that can be so endearing in people in power. Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky understood the use of ridicule as a weapon: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.” (Rules for Radicals, Pg. 128). Barack Obama is in trouble. His signature health care reform has been doomed by the Democrats losing their Senate super-majority. He needs to reconnect with ordinary Americans, his advisers tell him. So what does he do? He does a long interview with Diane Sawyer, the new ABC News anchor, in which he states that his big mistake was “we started worrying more about getting the policy right than getting the process right”. Conversely, the survey found that those who identify strongly with tea partiers are not at all sure about the president’s true nation of origin. “It’s an interesting phenomenon that they are not only rebelling against the growth and size of government, but they are actually questioning the authority of the president,” said poll director Mark DiCamillo. Obama Can’t Tap Voter Anger Because It’s Directed at Him
    U.S. News & World Report ^ | January 25, 2010 | Peter Roff

Posted on Monday, January 25, 2010 6:35:32 PM by 2ndDivisionVet

Now that the voters in Massachusetts have put him on the ropes, President Barack Obama is spoiling for a fight. Speaking last week in Elyria, Ohio, the president, the New York Times reported, used some version of the word “fight” more than 20 times as he railed against the big banks, Wall Street, joblessness, and the economic downturn that has hit the nation hard.

As a newly-minted populist, Obama is hoping to win back the support of the independents and the “Reagan Democrats” who, over his first year in the White House, have become steadily less enthusiastic about his performance in office. The president, as the numbers reflect, has been losing the support of the center. On Monday, the Gallup organization released a new survey that shows the nation’s first postpartisan president is an extremely polarizing figure despite an average job approval rating of 57 percent for his first year in office. Underneath that, however, is a lot of bad news.

He came into office seeking to unite the country, and his initial approval ratings ranked among the best for post-World War II presidents, including an average of 41 percent approval from Republicans in his first week in office. But he quickly lost most of his Republican support, with his approval rating among Republicans dropping below 30 percent in mid-February and below 20 percent in August. Throughout the year, his approval rating among Democrats exceeded 80 percent, and it showed little decline even as his overall approval rating fell from the mid-60s to roughly 50 percent.

The fact that the president continues to run strong among Democrats, which the White House political operation must certainly regard as good news, is tempered by his poor showing among the overall electorate. The latest Gallup presidential job approval numbers have the streams about to cross, with 48 percent of those surveyed approving of his performance and 47 percent disapproving.

Taking these two sets of data together, the high marks he gets from better than three quarters of Democrats means that, while retaining the support of the left, he is losing the right and, more importantly, the center.

The new populism unveiled in Ohio–which will almost certainly be a key refrain in Wednesday’s State of the Union address–is an effort to win back the allegiance of those voters who have been deserting the president in droves. By positioning himself as someone who “fights” and will keep fighting for the little guy, Obama is attempting to tap into the anger among the electorate that helped propel Scott Brown into the Senate. The problem for Obama is that he fails to understand that much of that anger is directed directly at him.

It is now generally agreed that, as a candidate for president, Obama failed to define himself as a liberal–but it is as a liberal he has attempted to govern. He has attempted to tax, he has spent, and he has regulated in ways that threaten livelihoods and which run counter to Main Street common sense. The sense of alienation that produces among voters is not transient; it endures and it is costly.

It is difficult, if not impossible, to govern the country from either the left or the right alone. The center, as political consultant Dick Morris has written, is the “vital” part of the electorate. By losing it, Bush drove the Republicans into minority status. Without the center it is highly unlikely Obama can do much better.

Glenn Beck is being characterized by the establishment as the leader of the freedom movement and yet a closer analysis of his ideology reveals that Beck is nothing more than a fake revolutionary who has supported and is pushing policies that are diametrically opposed to those embraced by true constitutionalists.

Beck and Fox News have hijacked the patriot movement and are leading conservatives and libertarians down a meaningless partisan rabbit hole in a clear attempt to neutralize genuine opposition to the big government agenda of the Obama administration.

It is important to stress that we are not picking a fight with Glenn Beck or Fox News in general as a crude effort to garner attention. Glenn Beck routinely attacks real libertarians, Ron Paul supporters, and those who would define themselves as constitutionalists. We are constantly forced to rebut his smears against people in the freedom movement while Beck claims to be one of us.

Indeed, Judge Andrew Napolitano, who also appears on Fox News, is an example of a real constitutionalist and we are in full agreement with his views.

As the video below illustrates, despite the fact that Beck claims to be “a Libertarian at heart,” he has publicly supported programs and legislation that are universally abhorred by the vast majority of libertarians, such as the banker bailout and the USA Patriot Act.
