As you know, I usually provide the scientific and technological “entertainment” in our meetings, but, on this occasion, our Chairman suggested that I present my own personal view on events in the part of the world from which I come. I have never been and I will never be a Government official and I have no privileged information. My perspective is entirely based on what I see, on what I read and on the fact that my family has lived in this region for almost 200 years. You may regard my views as those of the proverbial taxi driver, which you are supposed to question, when you visit a country.

I could have shared with you some fascinating facts and some personal thoughts about the Israeli-Arab conflict. However, I will touch upon it only in passing. I prefer to devote most of my remarks to the broader picture of the region and its place in world events. I refer to the entire area between Pakistan and Morocco, which is predominantly Arab, predominantly Moslem, but includes many non-Arab and also significant non-Moslem minorities.

Why do I put aside Israel and its own immediate neighborhood? Because Israel and any problems related to it, in spite of what you might read or hear in the world media, is not the central issue, and has never been the central issue in the upheaval in the region. Yes, there is a 100 year-old Israeli-Arab conflict, but it is not where the main show is. The millions who died in the Iran-Iraq war had nothing to do with Israel. The mass murder happening right now in Sudan, where the Arab Moslem regime is massacring its black Christian citizens, has nothing to do with Israel. The frequent reports from Algeria about the murders of hundreds of civilian in one village or another by other Algerians have nothing to do with Israel. Saddam Hussein did not invade Kuwait, endangered Saudi Arabia and butchered his own people because of Israel. Egypt did not use poison gas against Yemen in the 60’s because of Israel. Assad the Father did not kill tens of thousands of his own citizens in one week in El Hamma in Syria because of Israel. The Taliban control of Afghanistan and the civil war there had nothing to do with Israel. The Libyan blowing up of the Pan-Am flight had nothing to do with Israel, and I could go on and on and on.

A year ago, political, cultural, economic and media pundits were united in singing President-elect Obama’s praises. They assured us that by working with enlightened congressional leaders like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Obama would give us a post-racial, post-partisan, post-Bush Valhalla. There, no citizen would ever again be left wanting for decent health care, a rewarding job, a home warmed in winter and cooled in summer with green energy, a comfortable pension, or a college education. It would be an America in which our liberal leaders would finally deliver “change we can believe in” instead…

Why government, media seem oblivious to widespread infiltration by Islamic radicals

WorldNetDaily

Is the U.S. government still serious about protecting Americans from the extreme violence of Islamofascism – or isn’t it?

  • The Department of Homeland Security, created to defend the nation after the Sept. 11 Islamic terror attacks, has dramatically shifted its focus, earlier this year advising police nationwide to watch out for “right-wing extremists” – especially returning war veterans – supporting the Second Amendment, opposing abortion and illegal immigration, and promoting U.S. sovereignty and the Constitution.
  • The U.S. Army ignored a mountain of absurdly obvious warning signs that Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan was a brainwashed, America-loathing jihadist sleeper agent just waiting to explode – yet it did absolutely nothing to avert the Fort Hood massacre of dozens of American soldiers.
  • Five Gitmo terrorists – the worst of the worst, including confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who proclaims the government’s terror charges are a “badge of honor” – will be tried in civilian court in New York City, offering these mega-terrorists the worldwide stage they crave from which to spread their ideology, and opening up America’s terror-war secrets to discovery by the terrorists through their lawyers – all paid for by taxpayers.
  • Dozens of Islamic terror training camps are operating right under the nose of law enforcement, not in some far-off land, but all across the USA!

What’s going on here? Does the government really care about national security anymore?

You’ll find out the answer to this and many other crucial questions in the explosive December issue of Whistleblower magazine, titled “SEE NO JIHAD, HEAR NO JIHAD, SPEAK NO JIHAD: Why the government and media seem oblivious to America’s rapid infiltration by a violent totalitarian movement.”

Rev. James Manning: Al Qaeda War Games

Rev. James Manning: Al Qaeda War Games
ATLAH Video ^ | 28 December 2009 | Dr. James D. Manning

This is Dr. James Manning’s most recent video and well worth the listen.
Below I have typed a transcription which is partially paraphrased.

Reverend Manning says that Al Qaeda doesn’t fail and he suspects that the terrorist attack on Christmas Day is new psychological warfare. He said if Al Qaeda wanted that plane out of the air, it would have happened.

He said that he feels that Al Qaeda did not want the plane out of the air because it would have forced Obama to go to war, just like President Bush. Obama would have been forced to go to war against Yemen had the terrorist bomb attempt succeeded.

Manning says that Obama has already worked out a deal with Al Qaeda about US troops leaving Iraq.

Yet Al Qaeda doesn’t want to lose its edge and that is why they delivered the message to the world on Christmas Day.

He said that Al Qaeda does not associate with people too dumb to light a fuse. Reverend Manning repeated that Al Qaeda does not want to force Obama to bomb Yemen and that is the reason that the terrorist did not set the bomb off.

Reverend Manning said the question is now “what do we do about it?”

Again Manning said that if Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda wanted that plane on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, it would be there now. Manning said Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden are calling the shots now.

Reverend Manning predicts airline tickets will go through the roof now because Al Qaeda is and will be messing with our economy.

Reverend Manning said that Obama is a quasi-Muslim freak.

The terrorist action on Christmas Day is a new psychological warfare. It is an announcement from Al Qaeda that they have moved their base of operations to Yemen and this bombing attempt on Christmas Day was their announcement to the world.

Al Qaeda wanted your attention but they did not want the plane on the bottom of the ocean.

Breaking With Obama? By Ralph Nader

Breaking With Obama?

By Ralph Nader

January 01, 2010 “Information Clearing House” — Those long-hoping, long-enduring members of the liberal intelligentsia are starting to break away from the least-worst mindset that muted their criticisms of Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign.

They still believe that the President is far better than his Republican counterpart would have been. Some still believe that sometime, somewhere, Obama will show his liberal stripes. But they no longer believe they should stay loyally silent in the face of the escalating war in Afghanistan, the near collapse of key provisions in the health insurance legislation, the likely anemic financial regulation bill, or the obeisance to the bailed out Wall Street gamblers. Remember this Administration more easily embraces bonuses for fat cats than adequate investment in public jobs.
Of all the loyalists, among the first to stray was Bob Herbert, columnist for The New York Times. He wondered about his friends telling him that Obama treats their causes and them “as if they have nowhere to go.” Then there was the stalwart Obamaist, the brainy Gary Wills, who broke with Obama over Afghanistan in a stern essay of admonition.

If you read the biweekly compilation of progressive and liberal columnists and pundits in The Progressive Populist, one of my favorite publications, the velvet verbal gloves are coming off.

Jim Hightower writes that “Obama is sinking us into ‘Absurdistan.’” He bewails: “I had hoped Obama might be a more forceful leader who would reject the same old interventionist mindset of those who profit from permanent war. But his newly announced Afghan policy shows he is not that leader.”

Prostitution in the US Government

Prostitution in the US Government

Paul J. Balles argues that it is time to clean up the US government, in the light of President Obama’s prostituting himself to pharmaceutical industry pimps and recent revelations that every US government appointee must endure a background check by the American Jewish community and that, if they fail to support Israel strongly enough, they lose the job.

By Paul J. Balles

January 03, 2010 “Redress” — MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann, in a special commentary, referred to Senator Joe Lieberman as a “senatorial prostitute” for selling himself to the US insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

Prostitution is the oldest business in the world. In some places today, it’s legal. In others, it’s illegal. In some of the latter, the authorities look the other way.

This is not an article about prostitutes in the usual sense. It’s not about famous prostitutes like Nell Gwynne, courtesan to Charles II of England; nor Madame de Pompadour, courtesan to Louis XV of France; nor Mata Hari, executed for spying for Germany in World War I.

It doesn’t matter what they’re selling themselves for. People who act like “ladies of the night” are as engaged in prostitution as streetwalkers. And the “Johns” who pay for services are just as much cheaters as the Profumos or the Tiger Woods.

This is about people who sell themselves for money or jobs or elections or favours. It’s about people bought, not for sex, though sometimes that’s included, but for their services that become as illicit as sex for hire.

One modern definition of prostitution is: “The act or an instance of offering or devoting one’s talent to an unworthy use or cause.” That’s the sense in which Olbermann referred to Senator Lieberman.

What should anyone consider buying the services of US Congress people by the Johns and pimps of American lobbies but prostitution? President Obama campaigned on promises to clean house in Washington. He’s failed.

The American public elects representatives and senators to serve the people, not special interest groups. Every day, some lobby is paying or promising favours to provide satisfaction.

When he was campaigning, President Obama made promises like “We will break the stranglehold that a few big drug and insurance companies have on the health care market…” Instead Obama sold himself to the the pharmaceutical industry pimps.

In one of his 2008 campaign speeches, Obama said, “First, we’ll take on the drug and insurance companies and hold them accountable for the prices they charge and the harm they cause… And then we’ll tell the pharmaceutical companies, ‘Thanks but no thanks for overpriced drugs’.”

In addition to making deals with both lobbies under the table, despite his promise to keep everything above board, Obama has chosen to prostitute himself to both the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

If the gun lobby (The National Rifle Association) isn’t shouting “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”, they’re pimping for the Congress not to pass legislation controlling gun ownership. When the Congress gives in, they’re giving in to whoredom.

On 4 December, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz carried the amazing story of how every appointee to the American government must endure a thorough background check by the American Jewish community. If they fail to support Israel strongly enough, they lose the job.
