No one has been less forgiving than Glenn Beck when it comes to Democrats with tax problems. Not just the well-known ones like Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner but also less serious ones such as Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, whose husband only recently paid off $6,400 in tax liens on his auto repair business, and Nancy Killefer, who withdrew her nomination to be White House chief performance officer, citing a $946.69 tax lien on her Washington home. Their tax issues are just one indicator of “a culture of corruption among some of the left,” Beck declared just last month in a…

The American Mainstream media and Washington D.C. are dominated today by a Leftist, Secular and Godless mindset. That isn’t any secret. Not even the unregenerate (unbelievers) will disagree with that. As Lucifer (Satan) controls more and more of the Media today – with these Godless surrogates and talking heads – his agenda is moving along quite rapidly and increasing exponentially. Never in the history of this nation has the Main Stream Liberal Media pushed and supported a President’s leftist agenda as this one we have today. Today Lucifer’s American Leftist Media is ram-rodding, bulldozing, redefining and cultivating the U.S. ground…

Query: If democracy, from Latin America to Africa to the Middle East, brings to power parties and politicians who, for reasons religious, racial or historic, detest the “white, rich Western world,” why are we pushing democracy in these regions? Our forefathers were not afflicted with this infantile disorder. John Winthrop, whose “city on a hill” inspired Ronald Reagan, declared that, among civil nations, “a democracy is … accounted the meanest and worst of all forms of government.” “Remember, democracy never lasts long,” said Adams. “It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not…

JACKSON, Miss. — If Ronnie Lee Owen is telling the truth, he can save President Barack Obama from a racist plot and stop an armed revolution by Mormon extremists, if police would just let him out of jail. Authorities haven’t let him out of jail. Instead, he goes on trial next week in Gulfport, Miss., on federal fraud charges for having three fake driver’s licenses and issuing phony checks. Owen, a 41-year-old fugitive wanted in eight states, is accused of writing fake checks across the country for thousands of dollars in goods, according to court records. When he was arrested…

Democrats worried about protecting the homeland in wake of the Christmas Day terror plot are also working to protect one of their own: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. With at least seven congressional committees investigating the failures behind the terror plot, Democrats are carefully gaming out the testimony of Napolitano to spare her from the worst of the GOP criticism. First, they may shield her from the Senate Judiciary Committee, keeping conservative senators like Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and others from bashing her in a major public forum. She may instead appear before the Senate…

Washington, D.C. —

On Wednesday, National Security Adviser Gen. James Jones warned that we would feel “a certain shock” at revelations in a White House report on what the Obama administration is calling the “failed Christmas terrorist attack.”

Jones was referring to the breakdowns that allowed a 23-year-old, Nigerian-born, Al Qaeda-trained, suicide-terrorist to nearly bring down Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit. But the stunning information isn’t learning “what did we know and when did we know it,” leading up to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s attempt to detonate a bomb concealed in his underwear. The greatest cause for alarm is in what has happened since.

On Thursday evening, after multiple delays, the president stood before a teleprompter in the State Dining Room of the White House to deliver brief “remarks on strengthening intelligence and aviation security.” He took no questions.

Then, in a news blitz that continued on and off the record for more than two hours, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, John Brennan, assistant to the president for counterterrorism, and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs provided additional details on what went wrong and the “reforms and corrective steps” to prevent a recurrence. Though the so-called mainstream media showered the presentations with accolades, little of what was said on Thursday is reassuring. Some of it was downright disingenuous.

President Obama began his remarks by citing “how our government failed to connect the dots in a way that would have prevented a known terrorist from boarding a plane for America.” He subsequently castigated professional intelligence analysts for “a failure to connect the dots of intelligence” and for “a failure to connect and understand the intelligence that we already had.”

It is one thing to know something intellectually, and quite another to see it suddenly happen before your eyes. I experienced such a moment in 2005, during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, when I watched (via the Internet) as police officers went door-to-door in New Orleans [2] neighborhoods, forced law-abiding citizens into the streets, cuffed them, and then searched their homes for firearms before leaving them bewildered and helpless. There were no warrants involved. No probable cause was mentioned. No charges of wrong-doing were filed. Intimidation and brute force were the order of the day. And as much as I wish I could believe otherwise, I’m afraid that what we saw in New Orleans is merely a preview of coming attractions.

Since September 11, 2001, the federal government has been busily advancing preparations for the day when it might impose martial law throughout the United States, thus presenting us with the specter of the sort of thugery we witnessed in New Orleans being carried out all across this “land of the free.” A quasi-legal apparatus has already been put into place for this, via such legislation as the PATRIOT Act [3], the John Warner Defense Authorization Act [4], the Military Commissions Act [5], and the National Security and Homeland Security Directive [6]. But legislation, although important in creating the illusion of legitimacy, is only one of the two boots with which the authoritarian state tramples freedom; the other is propaganda, and it is even more essential than force because it allows the state to conquer by stealth, and thus with a minimum of effort.

Not only does the government want to see your naked body in full, living color, they also want to read your mind. “A would-be terrorist tries to board a plane, bent on mass murder. As he walks through a security checkpoint, fidgeting and glancing around, a network of high-tech machines analyzes his body language and reads his mind,” reports the Associated Press [1].

An Israeli company is developing a system that matches high technology up with and behavioral psychology. It’s called WeCU, short for “We See You” (the same way Big Brother sees you). It projects images on a wall and monitors reactions of people. “If you strolled through an airport and saw a picture of your mother, Givon explained, you couldn’t help but respond.” Or if you were a terrorist, the logic goes, you’d respond to a terror group logo or other familiar imagery. The reaction to these images could be a darting of the eyes, an increased heartbeat, a nervous twitch or faster breathing, said company CEO Ehud Givon.

Mind Reading Machines: The Next Step If We Accept Naked Body Scanners 080110scanner5It is Christmas 2012 and I have a story to tell.

Three years ago on a cold Christmas day in 2009, a Nigerian national without a passport was aided on board a plane from the Netherlands bound for Detroit by a mysterious sharp dressed man.

The Nigerian had a small amount of explosives in his underpants which he attempted and failed to detonate.

Two weeks later the U.S. government ordered the Department of Homeland Security Department to acquire $1 billion in advanced-technology equipment [2], including naked imaging body scanners, for screening passengers at airports, pushing all foreign governments to do the same [3].

Airport tyranny comes to your door, as predicted

Now Mobile Devices Will Scan Your Naked Body On The Streets 080110top4

Naked body scanners are being readied to go mobile and scan you on the street, at football games and any other event where masses of people are congregated, according to a leaked paper written by Dutch authorities.

As we have been warning all along, the tyranny now being metered out at airports was always intended to be rolled out onto the streets, with mobile metal detectors already being stationed at various transport hubs in the UK in the name of stopping knife crime.

Now Dutch police have announced that they are developing a mobile scanner that will “see through people’s clothing and look for concealed weapons”.

According to a confidential document, “The scanner could first be used as an alternative to random body searches in high risk areas. The mobile detector would enable the search to be carried out more quickly and would only be used on people suspected of carrying concealed weapons,” reports Dutch News.nl [2].

The device would also be used from a distance on groups of people “and mass scans on crowds at events such as football matches.”

“The biggest challenge is making it portable and ensuring it can carry out a scan in seconds,” Giampiero Gerini, a professor at Eindhoven University, told the paper.

The aim is to develop and deploy the device within three years. With police in major American and British cities already carrying out random searches of innocent people under routinely abused terrorism laws, mobile scanners are likely to be added to their arsenal, especially if people have been trained to accept their use as routine in airports.

Muslims kill 7 at Egypt church after Christians allegedly raped muslim girl

Posted: 07 Jan 2010 03:05 PM PST

Pope Shenouda III, the head of Egypts Coptic Orthodox church, leads prayers at the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt, early Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010. Pope Shenouda III, the head of Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox church, leads prayers at the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt, early Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010.

Three men in a car sprayed automatic gunfire into a crowd of churchgoers in southern Egyptian as they left a midnight Mass for Coptic Christmas, killing at least seven people in a drive-by shooting, the church bishop and security officials said.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry said the attack Wednesday just before midnight was suspected as retaliation for the November rape of a Muslim girl by a Christian man in the same town. The statement said witnesses have identified the lead attacker.

The attack took place in the town of Nag Hamadi in Qena province, about 40 miles from the famous ancient ruins of Luxor. A local security official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, confirmed that seven were dead and three seriously wounded.

Bishop Kirollos of the Nag Hamadi Diocese told The Associated Press six male churchgoers and one security guard were killed. He said he had left St. John’s church just minutes before the attack.

“A driving car swerved near me, so I took the back door. By the time I shook hands with someone at the gate, I heard the mayhem, lots of machine gun shots,” he said in a telephone interview. He said he saw five bodies lying on the ground when he first looked at the site of the shooting, about 600 yards where he was.

The bishop said he was concerned about violence on the eve of Coptic Christmas, which falls on Thursday, because of previous threats following the rape of the 12-year-old girl in November.

He got a message on his mobile phone saying: “It is your turn.”

“I did nothing with it. My faithful were also receiving threats in the streets, some shouting at them: ‘We will not let you have festivities,’” he said.

Because of the threats, he said he ended his Christmas Mass one hour early.

He said Muslim residents of Nag Hamadi and neighboring villages rioted for five days in November and torched and damaged Christian properties in the area after the rape.

Are federal gun laws Constitutional?
Remember, the constitution and “Bill of Rights” are there to restrain the government; not the people. This was an instruction to the government to leave the peoples’ guns alone. They could not trespass on or encroach upon our right as citizens to own and bear arms. If we look at the enforcement of federal laws and the cost government has placed on the American people I think we must conclude that infringement has and is occurring. The federal government……..

Full body scanners; it’s just common sense
By Arthur Weinreb
The use of full body scanners in the world’s major airports will not guarantee that another terrorist attack involving an aircraft will never happen. But, if used properly the scanner might have found the materials that the undiebomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, concealed. It may have even deterred him from doing what he did in the first place. Nevertheless there is no shortage of arguments coming from those on the left that these scanners should not be used.

Congress Tinkers with Withholding Tax Tables for 2010 ~ By: Devvy

Congress Tinkers with Withholding Tax Tables for 2010

http://biggovernment.com/2010/01/06/dems-tinker-with-withholding-tax-tables-for-2010/

“After much investigating and several discussions with the IRS, it appears the Democrats have played a “cash-flow trick” on working Americans and are taking more out of American’s paychecks across the board–all the while touting the Making Work Pay tax credit.”

Rest at link – I highly recommend everyone read the whole thing.

This morning on FOX News they had a segment on Obama welfare cell phones. That universal tax you see on your phone bill is helping to fund the $1 BILLION dollar tab to provide “free” cell phones to welfare recipients along with 70 free minutes per month. I was writing fast, but I believe that’s the numbers.

It’s called redistribution of wealth. I prefer to simply call it stealing the fruits of one person’s labor against their will to give to someone who did not work for it.

California to withhold a bigger chunk of paychecks

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/oct/31/business/fi-state-tax31

“The amount goes up 10% on Sunday as Sacramento borrows from taxpayers. Technically, it’s not an income tax increase: You’ll get the money back eventually.”

October 31, 2009|Shane Goldmacher and W.J. Hennigan

SACRAMENTO AND LOS ANGELES — “Starting Sunday, cash-strapped California will dig deeper into the pocketbooks of wage earners — holding back 10% more than it already does in state income taxes just as the biggest shopping season of the year kicks into gear.

“Technically, it’s not a tax increase, even though it may feel like one when your next paycheck arrives. As part of a bundle of budget patches adopted in the summer, the state is taking more money now in withholding, even though workers’ annual tax bills won’t change.”

Well, fiddly dee. Who needs that extra 10% from your paycheck to buy food today, buy gas to get to work today or pay your heating bill today? After all, six months from now, you MIGHT get it back.

“The Domestic Partnership Benefits and Obligations Act of 2009” (DPBO 2009). That has a ring of finality doesn’t it? Well it had better not and we’ve got to step up and fight this bill. Know as H.R. 2517 it says “We’re ramming our hand into your pocket and whether you like it or not over the next ten years you’ll be paying about a $billion to make sure that homosexual federal employees and their housemates are taken care of as an especially privileged group.” The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said the costs of giving homosexual “partners” of active and retired…

    Touchstone Magazine ^ | 6 January 2010 | Douglas Farrow
Douglas Farrow writes about The Audacity of the State: . . . Christendom, of course, had already seen many princes who were determined to make the church do their bidding. But Henry, by writing his supremacy into the laws of the realm, inaugurated a new era. In that era, the ongoing process of subordinating religion to the demands of the state would outrun the monarchy as such, and the Church of England too. Not merely some, but all of the church’s authority over things public would gradually be expropriated, binding even the conscience—as the Act of Succession already did—to the…

To Hell with Political Correctness

Let me express what so many Americans are thinking about national security. “Get off your butts and protect America and to hell with political correctness!”

The time for coddling our enemies is over. The time of bowing and groveling and acquiescing to foreign leaders must end. The apologies made for America need to be retracted. We need strength and resolve not caution and complacency.

How far should we go? Well, how many Nidal Hassans ( Ft. Hood terrorist and murderer) are there in our own military that need to be sent packing out of this country. When within our own military is infiltrated with enemy sympathizers who have no intent of protecting and defending our constitution then it’s time for a real housecleaning. How many more trained underwear bombers will slip through airport security? How many al Qaeda operatives have walked into our country through porous borders? Do we need a Terrorist Connect the Dots book for training purposes?

How about a simple No-Fly list: No Muslims

When our national security is so lax that airline safety becomes and oxymoron and the red flags raised are ignored by those who should be protecting us, then it’s time for a major quarantine to keep out anyone with even the hint of a tie to radical Islam. Don’t allow any more Muslim passengers from Yemen or any Arab nation harboring the enemy. That includes Americans who have left to join those who have sworn to destroy our nation. How about a simple No-Fly list: No Muslims. I for one do not believe there are any “moderate” Muslims in America. Those here are working to elect their own kind and to change our Judeo Christian based laws to reflect their own Sharia laws.

The Messiah Complex

Every age produces its own sort of fables, and our age seems to have produced The White Messiah fable.

This is the oft-repeated story about a manly young adventurer who goes into the wilderness in search of thrills and profit. But, once there, he meets the native people and finds that they are noble and spiritual and pure…

…“Avatar” is a racial fantasy par excellence. The hero is a white former Marine who is adrift in his civilization…

…The peace-loving natives — compiled from a mélange of Native American, African, Vietnamese, Iraqi and other cultural fragments — are like the peace-loving natives you’ve seen in a hundred other movies. They’re tall, muscular and admirably slender. They walk around nearly naked. They are phenomenal athletes and pretty good singers and dancers…

…Along the way, he has his consciousness raised. The peace-loving natives are at one with nature, and even have a fiber-optic cable sticking out of their bodies that they can plug into horses and trees, which is like Horse Whispering without the wireless technology…

…The natives have hot bodies and perfect ecological sensibilities, but they are natural creatures, not history-making ones. When the military-industrial complex comes in to strip mine their homes, they need a White Messiah to lead and inspire the defense…

…It rests on the stereotype that white people are rationalist and technocratic while colonial victims are spiritual and athletic. It rests on the assumption that nonwhites need the White Messiah to lead their crusades. It rests on the assumption that illiteracy is the path to grace. It also creates a sort of two-edged cultural imperialism. Natives can either have their history shaped by cruel imperialists or benevolent ones, but either way, they are going to be supporting actors in our journey to self-admiration…

Audio clip of Rush Limbaugh’s comments on various MSM repsonses to Rush’s paying for his recent hospital stay! “What I paid is more affordable than what most people could pay….more affordable than what some people spend on media rooms for their homes!” Rush was treated in a private hospital. The system does need reform, but NOT where the government is involved. Allow insurance to do what it does best – allow the private sector to do what it does best – and allow the patient and the doctor to “haggle” on the price of things. Why are Democrats so opposed…

Elvis Presley would have been 75 years old today. He was born January 8th 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, and we’ve been marking his three-quarter-century all this week at SteynOnline, with a look at his earliest record producer, his biggest hit record, and the house songwriter for the middle of his career. We wrap things up with a look at the late Elvis. This is adapted from Mark Steyn From Head To Toe: August 16th marks exactly three decades since a 911 call from 3765 Elvis Presley Boulevard sent the paramedics scrambling for the ambulance. And we’re still no nearer knowing…

Two officials said Thursday night they have been subpoenaed to answer questions next week before a federal grand jury about a high-profile Arizona sheriff who gained attention for aggressively cracking down on illegal immigration. Arpaio is widely known for tough jail policies and pushing the bounds on local immigration efforts. He has led a dozen crime and immigration sweeps, some in heavily Latino areas. Critics allege that some of Arpaio’s deputies racially profiled people during immigration sweeps. But Arpaio maintains that people pulled over in the sweeps were approached because deputies had probable cause to believe they had committed crimes.

On January 5th, 2010 a prominent physician by the name of Dr. Maurice S. Rawlings passed away. Who is Dr. Maurice Rawlings and why is he so prominent? Dr. Rawlings was noted as a man who witnessed the gateway between physical science and the real hell. But before I delve deeper into the details, I want to share with you a little bit of information about this Dr. Maurice S. Rawlings. Dr. Rawlings was a war hero, a scientist (serving as Medical Director for Aventis and ZLB Bio-Science Laboratories), and a doctor. He served as a physician to President Dwight…

It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. – Abe Lincoln Though he has successfully exploited the righteous anger many Americans feel at the ongoing elite betrayal of our identity as a free people, Glenn Beck has responded to that betrayal in terms of raw emotion or calculated self-interest. He appears to have little or no understanding of the profound issues of principle that are now coming to a head, as never before in the history of the United States. Because of this inadequate understanding of the crisis, he apparently…

Brit Hume said he was “not surprised” by the media backlash over his remarks to Tiger Woods on “Fox News Sunday” this week. There is a “double-standard” when it comes to speaking publicly about Christianity versus other religions, he said. Hume, a Fox News analyst, told CNSNews.com: “There is a double standard. If I had said, for example, that what Tiger Woods needed to do was become more deeply engaged in his Buddhist faith or to adopt the ideas of Hinduism, which I think would be of great spiritual value to him, I doubt anybody would have said anything.”

Does this Barack Obama birth certificate issue bug you because, although improbable, it’s possible that he’s not a natural born citizen, isn’t eligible to be President under the Constitution, and this issue could be bigger than Watergate — or any other “gate” in history? Are you afraid that if you were even to raise the subject with your friends that they will think you wear a tinfoil hat, because Factcheck.org, the final arbiter of truth in the universe, said so? Are you with the news media, and after spending so much money to get Barack Obama elected, you’d hate to…

The Man Who Can Stop Obamacare

The Democrats have gotten to the precipice — to borrow President Obama’s word — of victory on health-care reform for one reason above all others: 60 votes.

Their supermajority in the Senate empowered them to muscle through a sprawling mess of a bill by partisan fiat. If the ball had bounced the other way in a close race or two (or if Arlen Specter had felt more loyalty to his party of decades), the Democrats wouldn’t have gotten to 60. Once there, they were willing to resort to any expedient to stay at the magic number. After Ted Kennedy’s death last summer, the Massachusetts legislature rushed to change state election law to allow for an interim replacement in advance of a special election, explicitly to keep the Democrats at 60.
