Responding to an executive order by President Obama, a new push is under way for states to adopt laws limiting the use of their National Guard units unless there is an invasion, insurrection or other limited circumstance. As WND reported, Obama’s order establishes a new “Council of Governors” designated to advise on the “synchronization and integration of state and federal military activities in the United States.” The recent order, posted on the White House website, was accompanied by the explanation that the group is to work “to protect our nation against all types of hazards.” It comes just weeks after…

The U.S. military missed multiple direct warnings that Major Nidal Malik Hasan was contemplating mass mayhem once he learned he was going to be deployed to Afghanistan but ignored them because of political correctness, an Australian scholar of Islam told Newsmax in Washington, D.C. recently. “At a certain point, someone explained to Major Hasan that he had a duty to fight Americans and that if he didn’t, he would go to Hell,” says Dr. Mark Durie, who has written several books on Islamic ideology. Hi latest is, “The Third Choice: Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom.” Hasan made a presentation to Army…

Obama’s Last Supper Dilemma

On the left is an official White House photo taken on Feb. 10, 2009 “The President meets with the Democratic Blue Dog coalition in the State Dining Room”. I kept staring at the picture with a feeling that I have seen such a scene before. Then it struck me – Da Vinci’s Last Supper. There he was the leader in the middle of the table dinning with his followers. Only some of them have their own agenda…….It is great that the President realizes that the crowds are no longer with him and this may be his first and last mandate as president. The question for Barack Obama now is whether to follow his socialistic religious believes or follow the crowd. And because Obama is no Messiah I would suggest for him to follow the people. We the people elect our president to follow us. We don’t elect deities to enlighten us. Read the rest of the post here

In his first speech to the U.N. Security Council, U.S. President Barack Obama challenged members to think about the impact of a single nuclear bomb. He said: “Just one nuclear weapon exploded in a city — be it New York or Moscow, Tokyo or Beijing, London or Paris — could kill hundreds of thousands of people.” The consequences, he noted, would “destabilize our security, our economies, and our very way of life.” Before the Sept. 11, 2001, assault on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, who could have imagined that terrorists would mount an attack on the American homeland that…

Obama’s Loose Grip On reality

President Obama’s response to the catastrophic political failures of his freshman year in office is to fight harder for more of the same. Presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett made the point explicitly on Sunday, asserting that the White House is “not hitting a reset button at all.” That reflects the kind of political savvy that handed the safest Democratic Senate seat in America to a Republican.

Mr. Obama seems unaware that he is part of the problem. The president credited Scott Brown’s historic Senate-race victory in Massachusetts last week to the same voter frustration that swept him into office in 2008. The glitch in that worldview is that Mr. Brown ran explicitly against the Obama agenda.

We should not be overly excited or deceived by the Scott Brown victory or any other conservative-moderate victories in 2010, however exciting as they might be. The true heart of the American people has NOT CHANGED for the better. It still is what it has always been over these last 50 years or so: licentious and haughty. Even now many conservatives have been subtly intoxicated and tainted by socialism, godlessness and the immoral practices of the Left (Jer. 6:16-17; Matt. 15:8, 18-20). For example, consider the Republican administration and congress of the last 8 years. Except for a core of… Read more…

Investigation shows how terrorists, fakers could pass as U.S. citizens When it comes to birth certificates, just because it’s official, doesn’t mean its real. A WND investigation has revealed that over the past three decades, changes to how the 50 states process vital documents have opened wide new avenues for nefarious parties to alter records and thus acquire fraudulent, but official birth certificates to falsely pass as U.S. citizens. Thanks to the states’ nearly exclusive reliance on digitalized vital records, a foreign terrorist, for example, wishing to obtain a U.S. passport for unhindered travel in and out of the country…

In case you’re wondering why so many people watch Glenn Beck watch this. This is Beck at his most…entertaining. Beck opened tonight’s show with what can only be described as a tour-de-force excoriation of yesterday’s Joe Klein article accusing Americans of being dumb. Fifteen minutes worth. It was, to put it plainly, brilliant theater. A cast of thousands with Beck playing all the parts.

Actually, I take it back. It’s a whole lot freaky, too. The nutshell version: The Cleveland Plain-Dealer spoke to “Ellie Light” on the phone this morning and got her to admit — in a “husky voice” — that her name’s really Barbara Brooks, she’s a nurse, and that she wrote the letters on her own initiative. She gave them some personal information to verify her existence and it checked out. Later today, another woman — not husky-voiced — called the Plain-Dealer and said that she’s Barbara Brooks and that it’s actually her husband, a Kossack named Winston Steward, who’s responsible…

Narcissists are high maintenance creatures with little hope of changing. The personality disorder is baked into them. Barack Obama shows the thin skinned nature of the narcissist in his responses to criticism. Narcissists also have no intestinal fortitude for ridicule. Not only does Barack Obama lash out at critics, he is entirely devoid of the kind of self deprecating humor that can be so endearing in people in power. Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky understood the use of ridicule as a weapon: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.” (Rules for Radicals, Pg. 128). Barack Obama is in trouble. His signature health care reform has been doomed by the Democrats losing their Senate super-majority. He needs to reconnect with ordinary Americans, his advisers tell him. So what does he do? He does a long interview with Diane Sawyer, the new ABC News anchor, in which he states that his big mistake was “we started worrying more about getting the policy right than getting the process right”. Then the White House pushes out the disastrous Valerie Jarrett – who recently and hilariously described the Obama administration as “speaking truth to power” by bashing Fox News…

Californians are pretty sure President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A., but not at all sure about the tea party movement, according to a new Field Poll. Conversely, the survey found that those who identify strongly with tea partiers are not at all sure about the president’s true nation of origin. “It’s an interesting phenomenon that they are not only rebelling against the growth and size of government, but they are actually questioning the authority of the president,” said poll director Mark DiCamillo. Doubts about whether Obama was born outside U.S. soil, and thus constitutionally ineligible to be president,…

Why does Obama’s signature have a “slashed zero”? (Vanity)

Have you noticed Obama’s signature … it actually has a slashed zero in it. I wonder if this is why folks nickname him “zero?” Also, it doesn’t say much for a presidential signature to have it “representing” a “null value.

I’m not convinced his signature means much anyway (The Patriot’s Flag – Signature of Naivety)

Obama supporters are flooding unsuspecting newspapers with pro-Obama letters purportedly from average citizens – with duplicate messages appearing in more than 70 publications across the nation. One writer identified as “Ellie Light” has published identical form letters in newspapers around the country. Sabrina Eaton of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Light claims to have different hometowns within the respective newspaper readership areas. Each letter is nearly identical in grammar, style and subject.

Richard A. Hamblen has lost his family and his fortune because he believes in the Second Amendment. In April of 2004, Mr. Hamblen, a former commander in the Tennessee National Guard, was arrested by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF). Hamblen, who told the author that he’s never had so much as a traffic violation, was taken from his place of business and charged with the unlawful possession of nine unregistered machine guns. Hamblen was found guilty by a trial court and sentenced to 13 months in federal prison….

A prolific pro-Obama emailer, who got her letters-to-the editor published all over the place (I have the dubious distinction of having published her first) explains herself to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, which first noticed the pattern: Light, who e-mailed an identical missive to The Plain Dealer on Jan. 16 without listing a hometown, would not answer e-mailed questions about the address discrepancies in newspapers that ran her letter, or her identity. She did say she wasn’t a former co-worker of this reporter with a similar name. In a Sunday morning e-mail to The Plain Dealer, Light denied speculation that she’s…

Here is video of Charles Krauthammer saying President Obama “forgot a third-option” when asked about being a “one-term President” by ABC’s Diane Sawyer. Obama said he would rather be a “really good” one-term President than a “mediocre” two-term President. Krauthammer said the third option is “a mediocre one-term President.” He also said Obama and the Demcorats have shown “unbelievably condescending arrogance” in the wake of the Massachusetts loss, suggesting Obama can change people’s attitudes if he can just communicate his message more effectively. Krauthammer said Obama has “been on TV more than Regis.” It’s just that voters are rejecting his…
