The FBI’s unveiling of a digital billboard in Times Square as part of an effort to enlist public help in finding suspects and displaying other “security messages” sounds like a hybrid of George Orwell’s 1984 and the wacky dictatorship portrayed in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie The Running Man.

“The FBI’s most wanted will soon be staring at tourists in Times Square. The agency will unveil a digital billboard there Friday,” reports the Associated Press ^[2].

“It will air pictures of fugitives and missing persons. It also will publicize high-priority security messages. Besides criminals, it will draw attention to kidnap victims and missing children. The FBI hopes the public can help find them.”

What these “high priority security messages” will actually be remains unclear – perhaps the word OBEY in huge black letters on a white background? Or just more fearmongering about why you have to submit to those friendly NYPD officers searching your bags in the name of fighting Al-Qaeda? And in a few years – who knows? Report illegal gun owners? Report thought criminals?

Huge telescreens barking out messages from the government and turning the population into honorary Stasi members constantly on the lookout for criminals and terrorists – where have we seen that before ^[3]?

A more contemporary comparison can be drawn with the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie The Running Man, in which one of the opening scenes shows a giant TV in downtown Los Angeles encouraging citizens to turn in their own family members.

The opening text of The Running Man doesn’t sound too far away from the situation in 2010. Since the film is set in 2017, give it seven more years and we’ll probably get there.

Will there be a shortage of vegetable seeds for gardeners in 2010?

It is possible, says Barbara Melera, owner of the oldest seed house in the country, D. Landreth Seeds, formerly of Baltimore and now of New Freedom, Pa.

After back-to-back good years — 2008′s salmonella scares and 2009′s poor economy send homeowners into the garden to grow their own food — you might expect a backslide in seed sales, Melera said. New gardeners get discouraged or bored.

But, she said, “In 2009, we had the worst growing season in 50 years.” Rain and disease destroyed crops and with them, the seeds for next year’s garden.

“Onion sets. And a cucumber seed shortage,” she predicted. “We are being told that the cucumber harvest was catastrophic, attacked late in the season by woolly mildew. There was fruit, but no viable seeds inside.

“We are being told that many, many varieties simply won’t be available.”

Likewise, Europe had a terrible harvest this year, and Europeans purchased much of their produce from the United States, taking with it the seeds.

And, as further proof that we are in a global marketplace, Europeans and Australians have taken a fancy to eating sprouts — tons of sprouts.

“When you grow vegetables just to get the sprouts, nothing gets to fruit. And they are consuming gigantic quantities of seeds just for the purpose of sprouts.”

Word of possible shortages must be leaking out, Melera said, because retailers are telling her they had their best December in years.

It is certainly true that vegetable gardeners are ordering seeds earlier and earlier, but Melera said she thinks it is more likely that gardeners are acting out of fear

So, did the framers really adopt a common law rule that automatically granted US citizenship upon birth as England did? Let’s take a look at what the US government had to say about certain children born on US soil at the time of the adoption of the constitution from recently acquired documents from the national archives. As I’ve stated in the past, one can not limit their research to such a narrow alley that keeps pertinent information from being brought out into the light. The Tea Party movement ignited a year ago, fueled by anti-establishment anger. Now, Tea Party activists are trying to take over the establishment, ground up.

Across the country, they are signing up to be Republican precinct leaders, a position so low-level that it often remains vacant, but which comes with the ability to vote for the party executives who endorse candidates, approve platforms and decide where the party spends money.

A new group called the National Precinct Alliance says it has a coordinator in nearly every state to recruit Tea Party activists to fill the positions and has already swelled the number of like-minded members in Republican Party committees in Arizona and Nevada. Its mantra is this: take the precinct, take the state, take the party — and force it to nominate conservatives rather than people they see as liberals in Republican clothing.

Here, in a perennial battleground district outside Philadelphia, Tea Party activists are trying to strip the local committee of its influence in choosing the Republican nominee to run against Representative Patrick J. Murphy, a Democrat who won the seat in 2006 by about 1,500 votes.

After the local party said it would stick to its custom of endorsing a candidate rather than holding an open primary, Tea Party groups decided to hold their own candidate forum where people could cast a ballot. If the party does not yield, the groups say they will host a debate, too.

“We kind of changed the rules,” said Anastasia Przybylski, one of the organizers.

Former Navy SEAL, professional wrestler, and Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura, recently launched a new television show on the truTV (formerly known as Court TV) cable channel. The first episode debuted on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. And the final episode of this season aired this past Wednesday, January 13, 2010.

According to press reports, 1.6 million viewers watched the premiere episode on December 2, which set a record for the network. I was one of those viewers. And I’ve seen each of this first season’s 7 episodes.

Predictably, mainstream critics have universally condemned the series. Linda Stasi of The Washington Times said the show is “Mindless, good fun and a hoot to watch aging action stars still taking action.” Robert Lloyd of the Los Angeles Times said, “Whatever truth is out there, it’s filtered here through what is arranged more as an adventure series than a documentary.”

First of all, let me state up front that I typically disdain “reality” shows. The only ones that are any good are Les Stroud’s Survivorman and Bear Grylls’ Man vs. Wild (and I really enjoy both of those programs). The rest of the so-called “reality” shows are junk, as far as I’m concerned (okay, I did enjoy watching a few episodes of Ice Road Truckers).

Contrary to the rants of modern critics, however, Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory is not “reality” television or “mindless, good fun.” It is better investigative reporting than anything I’ve seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or FOX NEWS in a long, long time.

For the most part, the mainstream media have become lackeys and lap dogs for the established political order and the powerful potentates that control it. Yes, I’m saying it: we have a tightly controlled mainstream media in America today (especially at the national level). Reporters are told what to report (or more fittingly, what NOT to report) and how to report it; and any reporter or journalist who dares to step outside the box will quickly be unemployed. And for those of you journalists and reporters who are reading this right now, if you smirk at what I just said, why don’t you try it and see what happens? Anything that challenges the establishment’s order is totally off-limits. Every reporter and journalist working for the establishment media knows where the “third rail” is–and they avoid it at all costs. And the cost is TRUTH.

The controversy surrounding White House information czar and Harvard Professor Cass Sunstein’s blueprint for the government to infiltrate political activist groups has deepened, with the revelation that in the same 2008 dossier he also called for the government to tax or even ban outright political opinions of which it disapproved.

Sunstein was appointed by President Obama to head up the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, an agency within the Executive Office of the President.

Cass Sunstein is President Obama’s Harvard Law School friend, and recently appointed Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

In a recent scholarly article, he and coauthor Adrian Vermeule take up the question of “Conspiracy Theories: Causes and Cures.” (J. Political Philosophy, 7 (2009), 202-227). This is a man with the president’s ear. This is a man who would process information and regulate things. What does he here propose?

[W]e suggest a distinctive tactic for breaking up the hard core of extremists who supply conspiracy theories: cognitive infiltration of extremist groups, whereby government agents or their allies (acting either virtually or in real space, and either openly or anonymously) will undermine the crippled epistemology of believers by planting doubts about the theories and stylized facts that circulate within such groups, thereby introducing beneficial cognitive diversity. (Page 219.)

Read this paragraph again. Unpack it. Work your way through the language and the intent. Imagine the application. What do we learn?

• It is “extremists” who “supply” “conspiracy theories.”
• Their “hard core” must be “broken up” with distinctive tactics. What tactics?
• “Infiltration” (”cognitive”) of groups with questions about official explanations or obfuscations or lies. Who is to infiltrate?
• “Government agents or their allies,” virtually (i.e. on-line) or in “real-space” (as at meetings), and “either openly or anonymously,” though “infiltration” would imply the latter. What will these agents do?
• Undermine “crippled epistemology” — one’s theory and technique of knowledge. How will they do this?
• By “planting doubts” which will “circulate.” Will these doubts be beneficial?
• Certainly. Because they will introduce “cognitive diversity.”

Put into English, what Sunstein is proposing is government infiltration of groups opposing prevailing policy. Palestinian Liberation? 9/11 Truth? Anti-nuclear power? Stop the wars? End the Fed? Support Nader? Eat the Rich?

Harvard law professor Cass Sunstein, Obama’s appointee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, outlined a plan for the government to infiltrate conspiracy groups in order to undermine them via postings on chat rooms and social networks, as well as real meetings, according to a recently uncovered article Sunstein wrote for the Journal of Political Philosophy.

As we have often warned, chat rooms, social networks and particularly article comment sections are routinely “gamed” by trolls, many of whom pose as numerous different people in order to create a fake consensus, who attempt to debunk whatever information is being discussed, no matter how credible and well documented. We have seen this on our own websites for years and although some of those individuals were acting of their own accord, a significant number appeared to be working in shifts, routinely posting the same talking points over and over again.

The year is 1956 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, off the coast of South Carolina.

I arrived with other recruits by train from Connecticut. When Marine sergeants took us across that imaginary Mason-Dixon Line, time took a step backward.

There was an ever-present uneasiness on that 18-hour ride through the rural South where white people drank water from different fountains and used separate bathrooms from the blacks.

I had read about the separate system in books and newspapers, but never paid much attention.

But now, here I was in South Carolina and about to experience first-hand the Marine Corps. The nightmare was about to begin.

At boot camp in 1956, a young man was subjected to the most humbling treatment he had ever known. All recruits were treated the same regardless of ethnic background. The name of the game was making a Marine out of raw material.

As a platoon of 78 guys, we learned to coexist under adverse conditions, to function as a unit and handle firearms for effect.

Days were filled with marching in formation, studying the Marine Corps manual and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

We learned to walk guard duty and endured more close-order drill. Everywhere we went, we went in formation to the cadence of our drill instructor.

Tragedy! But, no not necessarily for Haiti because they won’t have to worry for anything. America will pay up as usual. Now billions will be sent to that island and tens of thousands of Haitians will be allowed to immigrate to the US and the deportation of thousands (illegals, drug dealers) of others will be halted.

A major earthquake hit the impoverished country of Haiti on Tuesday, collapsing buildings in the capital Port-au-Prince and burying residents under rubble, a Reuters reporter in the city said.

He said he saw dozens of dead and injured people in the rubble, which blocked streets in the city.

The epicentre of the quake was located inland, only 10 miles (16 km) from the capital Port-au-Prince and was very shallow at a depth of only 6.2 miles (10 km).

It prompted a tsunami watch for parts the Caribbean, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said on Tuesday.

“Everything started shaking, people were screaming, houses started collapsing … it’s total chaos,” Reuters reporter Joseph Guyler Delva said. “I saw people under the rubble, and people killed,” he added.

A local employee for the U.S. charity Food for the Poor reported seeing a five-storey building collapse in Port-au-Prince, a spokeswoman for the group, Kathy Skipper, told Reuters.

Another Food for the Poor employee said there were more houses destroyed than standing in Delmas Road, a major thoroughfare in the city.

Panic-stricken residents filled the streets desperately trying to dig people from rubble or seeking missing relatives as dark fell shortly after the quake.

What you are looking at below, Save Jerseyans, is a screenshot of the website 4chan.org.

Yesterday afternoon, someone anonymously posted a photo taken from his/her iphone. The photo shows three lines of cocaine “cut” on this mystery employee’s work desk. You can view a larger image of the picture by clicking here: http://i.imgur.com/Vf7DA.png.

Here’s where it gets interesting. Really interesting. Someone else logged on to the same site and analyzed the coke photo’s point of origin. This second individual was able to ascertain the location where the photo was snapped since it was taken with an iphone. As you may or may not know, iphones transmit GPS data of where pics are taken when they’re uploaded to the web if the GPS is turned on. You can look at the metadata and see where it came from. It’s a brave new world!

Guess what longitude and latitude turned up? 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. That’s the White House for those of you who bombed civics in high school.

I like the book, Soldiers Of The Sea, by Robert Debs Heinl, Jr., Colonel, USMC, for many reasons. I personally consider it to be the most thorough and detailed account of the Marine Corps as it was. And, I also like it, if for no other reason, the opening pages contain the photograph by Lou Lowery of the actual flag raising at Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima on 23 February 1945–not, mind you, the photograph by Joe Rosenthal of the “replacement” flag raising which occurred later that same morning. And, the scope of Heinl’s book is from 1775 thru 1962–just as well, after 1962…well, things began to change in many ways for the old Corps soon after that. In any case, this author presents a most thorough and detailed account of Corps history with information on topics of interest that I’ve seen in no other writings.

I was surprised to read that Colonel Heinl referred to the service hat, or campaign hat as it is  more popularly known, as the “old slouch hat.” Prior to my reading of that I had thought of that term soley as a reference to the Australian campaign-type hat; and this caused me to look into the matter a bit further. But then I recalled that there was that old song by Hank Snow, from back in the 1950s…

In the nightmare of Haiti, Americans were first to respond just as Americans have always responded, recession-bound or not.

This is the giving spirit of America in action.  Not waiting for anyone else, just doing what is necessary to help, without boasts, without expecting anything back.  Simply America.

America has always been there for others and always will be.

Even a falling-in-the-polls President Obama whose conduct since election has been to belittle the spirit of America and its people is cashing in today on that generosity, promising to a shocked and grief stricken people his “unwavering support” and a “swift and coordinated effort”.

Beleaguered Americans losing their homes and jobs will rush in to help Haitians with food, temporary shelters; emergency service of every kind.

The American military, a welcome sight the world over even though politicians try to state otherwise, will be there for the people beginning with rescue and recovery efforts, remaining to build water purification facilities, repairing infrastructure and rebuilding.

The Lamb is the Christ Spirit and the root of Christianity. The lion is the lion of Judah, the root of the Jewish People. The time is at hand where the two lay down together in peace as one. Jacob the father of Judah blessed him for all times until the end times. Genesis 49:1.

“And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

Jacob blest Judah. 49:8-10.

“Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.

Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion, who shall rouse him up?

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”

Judah is the root of the Jewish people. And the sceptre of inspiration has been with Judah, the Jewish people, since then and so much has poured forth from this people in all fields of human endeaver. However, when the Lamb came the priesthod and establishment of this people did not say at that time “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” The sceptre was not passed. Shiloh is He that cometh in the name of the Lord. Shiloh is the title of the Messiah. We must not deny the Lord again.

Jesus said. John 23:37-39.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killeth the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

For I say unto you, ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

This is all being fulfilled in these last days. The Lion of Judah lays down with the Lamb. Back in 1939 Germany attacked Poland and World War II began. With it the holocaust and horrific murder of 6 million Jews by the Nazis. In 1941 Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and America entered World War II. Seven years after America entered the war there was a vote held in the UN. In 1948 America, 7 years after she entered the war, lead the drive for the establishment of the independant State of Israel. Israel was voted independance and the forces of Islam attacked her. Israel overcame and became a free nation,

The bond between Israel and America was established. The Lion and the Lamb. America is a Nation based upon Judeo-Christian roots no matter what Obama said in Egypt. Now we see the testinng of that bond and connection. 70 years from the Nazi attack on Polnd and the start of World War II in 1939, we have the inaugeration of Barak Hussein Obama in 2009.

America in its founding, acknowledged the Christ Spirit and Jesus who made that Spirit flesh. Now Christianity is seen by the ruling elite as politiically incorrect and must be put out of view. The Christian God is seen as being out of fashion, while all manner of abominatioon is being flaunted everywhere.

America is a leading light of Christ Spirit and compassion, which should represent the Lamb of God. Judah, the Jewish people need to say “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” America and Israel can lead the way in ths victory together.

U.S. troops are being trained to conduct round-ups, confiscate guns and shoot American citizens, including their own friends and family members, as part of a long-standing program to prepare for the declaration of martial law, according to a soldier who recently returned from Iraq.
We received an e mail from “Scott”, a member of a pipefitters union that runs an apprenticeship program called Helmets To Hard Hats, which according to its website, “Is a national program that connects National Guard, Reserve and transitioning active-duty military members with quality career training and employment opportunities within the construction industry.”

Scott writes that his company hired a soldier who had recently returned from Iraq, who told him that U.S. troops were being quizzed on whether or not they would be prepared to shoot their own friends and family members during a national state of emergency in America. “I have become very close to this young man and have gained his respect and trust,” writes Scott. “I want you to know that he informed me about one particular training exercise his superiors made them perform. It was concerning the rounding up of American citizens that disobey any type of martial law or in other words any type of infringement on our freedoms.”

“He was asked if he could shoot his friends or family members if ordered to do so. At the time he said he could,” writes Scott.

Scott says that the soldier later “had time to clear his head” and realize the truth, recanting his vow to kill his own countrymen if ordered to do so.

The issue of whether U.S. troops would be prepared to round-up, disarm and if necessary shoot Americans who disobeyed orders during a state of martial law is a question that military chiefs have been attempting to answer for at least 15 years.

Its known origins can be traced back to an October 1994 Marine questionnaire out of the Twentynine Palms Marine Base in California. Recruits were asked 46 questions, including whether they would kill U.S. citizens who refused to surrender their firearms.

Documentary film maker Alex Jones brought to light similar training programs that were taking place across the country in the late 90’s which revolved around U.S. Marines being trained to arrest American citizens and take them to internment camps.

During one such program in Oakland California, dubbed “Operation Urban Warrior,” Marines refused to answer if they would target American citizens for gun confiscation if ordered to do so.

During hurricane Katrina, National Guard units were ordered to confiscate guns belonging to New Orleans residents.

As we first exposed in May 2006, Clergy Response Teams are being trained by the federal government and FEMA to “quell dissent” and pacify citizens to obey the government in the event of a declaration of martial law.

Pastors and other religious representatives are being taught to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to “obey the government” in preparation for the implementation of martial law, property and firearm seizures, mass vaccination programs and forced relocation.

Many scoffed at our original story, which was based on the testimony of a whistleblower who was asked to participate in the program. Claims that the story was a conspiracy theory soon evaporated when a mainstream KSLA news report confirmed the existence of the program.

The experiences of U.S. troops in the worst areas of Iraq, where soldiers are ordered to go door to door and arrest all men of military age as well as confiscate their weapons, is a mere portend of what is being planned for America if these training programs ever come to fruition.

The marine also reported an article in the base’s weekly newspaper, documenting a March ‘94 “high-profile tour” of the Twenty-nine Palms base by a delegation from the Council on Foreign Relations. The following survey questions, except for the last one, were not reprinted in the July 11 New American article. They were forwarded by the magazine to the New Jersey Conservative PAC (NJCPAC, 2 Thornton Lane, Piscataway NJ 08854-5044 ph/fx:908-463-0797), which also reports that preliminary fact-finding at the base indicates that the “surveys came through the chain of command.” The questions are reproduced here with NJCPAC’s permission. Usually on a Patch Tuesday, the discussion turns to Microsoft; but amid a very light round of Windows fixes, it’s Adobe in the spotlight today. Last month, a serious and potentially easily exploitable vulnerability was found in a JavaScript API call, DocMedia.NewPlayer — a situation where an intentionally crafted PDF file could invoke the call, deallocate the memory allocated when the media player is generated, and then execute the code in that de-allocated memory, without need for privilege.

Adobe Reader 9.3 was released today, right on schedule, to address this issue. In the meantime, the company is realizing the changing nature of the platform business, and how Reader/Acrobat and Flash are now just as susceptible to potential attacks as any other platform, including Windows. Interestingly, the cross-platform nature of the Acrobat platform means that Mac users were just as susceptible to this exploit as Windows users.

Beyond today’s update, Adobe is busy working on non-improvised means for improving its platform users’ security long-term. Already last October, it began implementing what it calls the JavaScript Blacklist Framework — a way for its platforms to maintain actively updated lists of non-trusted sources for executable content. Last month, Adobe advised users to use this Framework to effectively blacklist the API call — a way of turning off the vulnerable function (which was rarely in use anyway) as an alternative to disabling JavaScript.

The White House has confirmed that a member of Congress formally has requested that President Obama document information regarding his birth and, therefore, his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.

WND previously reported the letter was sent by Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga., and also that neither Deal‘s office nor the White House was willing to discuss the situation.

Now, according to Jim Galloway, who blogs for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, confirmation has come from two sources that the letter was sent and received.

“The White House on Thursday confirmed receipt of a letter from U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal that formally asks Barack Obama to address questions about his place of birth – and thus, whether he is qualified to be president,” the report said. “The letter arrived Dec. 10. Beyond that, no one is willing to say much.”

Galloway wrote, “According to my AJC colleague Bob Keefe in Washington, Todd Smith, Deal’s chief of staff, likewise confirmed that the letter had been sent. But neither Smith nor his boss would comment on its content.”

Smith told the reporters, “[Deal] just did what he said he was going to do. It’s not news.”

Galloway reported, “Likewise, White House spokeswoman Gannet Tseggai – while acknowledging receipt of Deal’s letter, declined to release a copy or discuss its content, saying that the issue of Obama’s birth has been addressed repeatedly.”

Deal, who is running for governor, said two months ago he would ask Obama to prove his eligibility. At the time, Deal confirmed there was “no reason to think” Obama is not a “legal citizen” but said because of the questions  raised, he should answer.

“I have looked at the documentation that is publicly available, and it leaves many things to be desired,” Deal said in November, Galloway reported.

A new media initiative by a group of citizen-journalists reported earlier Deal wrote to Obama. According to the Post and Email, “This forever changes the public discourse.”

“What does this mean?” the site asks. “This is probably the first time in 233 years of American history that a sitting member of the House of Representatives has officially challenged the legitimacy of a sitting president … one full year into his term.

In a recent New York Times op-ed ^[2], economist Robert Shiller (coproducer of the famous housing-price index) recommended that the US government begin to sell claims on fractions of Gross Domestic Product. Besides the practical problems with his proposal, it rests on the premise that the US government owns the entire economy. It will be instructive to parse Shiller’s column to see just how badly his collectivist thinking misleads him.

To set the context, let’s quote liberally from Shiller’s piece:

Corporations raise money by issuing both debt and equity, the latter giving investors an implicit share in future profits. Governments should do something like this, too, and not just rely on debt.

Borrowing a concept from corporate finance, governments could sell a new type of security that commits them to paying shares in national “profit,” as measured by gross domestic product….

Such securities might help assuage doubts that governments can sustain the deficit spending required to keep sagging economies stimulated and protected from the threat of a truly serious recession. In a recent pair of papers, my Canadian colleague Mark Kamstra at York University and I have proposed a solution. We’d like our countries to issue securities that we call “trills,” short for trillionths.

Glenn made this impassioned speech just days after refusing to hear the concerns of callers to his radio show. He branded them with the conspiracy tag not seeming to understand that these were worried and informed Americans. They made an orchestrated effort to get his attention because of their growing unease with the refusal of President Obama to provide any transparency of his background. The media’s complete refusal to hold him accountable on any matter has not made things better. There is very real fear that the sitting President of the United States, Barack Obama, might not be eligible to hold the Office.
