We’ve now read the Declaration of Independence as well as the Constitution in full. While it’s not heavy reading, it is certainly important reading, and I hope everyone has taken the time to not only read, but reflect on the words written by our founders.
The Declaration still stands as one of the greatest, most significant political documents of all time. It’s inspired mankind the world over to seek the Freedom and Liberty Nature’s Godalways intended him to have. Our Constitution remains the cornerstone of all Liberty and Freedom. It is the ideal blueprint for Civil Society, and when followed, allows for individual Freedom and great governmental restraint. It is the ultimate expression of Conservatism.

I cannot think of any other subject in recent American history that has been so mired in controversy, so factually misrepresented, mischaracterized and so misunderstood than the matter of the eligibility of Barack Hussein OBAMA II to hold the office of President of the United States. Despite its importance, the topic has been summarily dismissed as fodder for conspiracy theorists by many, while others insist that the question of OBAMA’s citizenship has been “asked and answered.” But has it really been answered, and if not, why not?

Happy days are here again, right? With the 27% jump in new home sales, announced last week, the real estate crisis is over and we can move on – right? Not by a long shot.
The New York Times latest giddy article about the end of Obama’s recession entitled “From the Mall to the Docks, Signs of Rebound” is propaganda.

The British control of paper money in colonial America did not create disaster. The colonials had various ways of getting silver and gold, mostly from trade with French or Spanish islands in the Caribbean. By 1750 there was a coin circulation in the port cities, mostly foreign specie, which had a different value in the notional “sterling” of each colony. Exchange lists indicate that English shillings, French “guineas” (louis d’or), Spanish “ryals” and double “ryals” (eighth and quarter dollars), and “pistoles” (Spanish two-escudo pieces) were common, but almost any kind of precious metal coin then in the Atlantic world was passable. However, three-fourths of the hard money consisted of Spanish milled dollars. These carried a different value in local shillings, which had been frozen from Queen Anne’s proclamation.
There was also a large circulation of English half-pence and similar base-metal coins, genuine and counterfeit, which were called “coppers.”

With a potential political bloodbath looming in November, liberals are understandably desperate. They see it all slipping away and it shows. The grassroots groundswell of opposition to Obama’s neo-Marxist, secular-humanist agenda intensifies daily despite the left’s best efforts to silence dissent.

Stifling our ability to hate is an act of moral masturbation
The importance of hate
By Klaus Rohrich Tuesday, April 27, 2010
Mankind’s creator instilled some fairly important and in some cases fairly unpleasant checks and balances into organisms to ensure their chances for survival. Among these checks and balances are emotions, which are felt at a visceral level and help organisms detect threats at a subconscious level through various senses.
| // |
Unlike the ability to reason, emotions in human beings are totally and completely irrational, yet tend to serve as powerful motivators for actions and reactions. Hence the completely irrational act of falling in love, which happens at a level that totally negates reason and depends largely on pheromones, those elusive odors produced by males and females in their search for successful procreation.
Equally powerful and just as irrational is the emotion of hate. Hate being the opposite of love holds every bit as much visceral power over individuals as does love, and exists to protect beings from their enemies. Hate is closely tied to fear, another emotion susceptible to the irrational, but one that is essential to survival. We hate those whom we fear because we perceive they may have intentions of harming us and the fear/hate response is a protective mechanism, allowing us to fight or flee from perceived threats.
How bizarre that modern Western society has turned hate into a criminal activity. While it may seem civilized to have the ability to overcome one’s fears and see the point of view of those who would threaten our existence, it’s a sure-fire way to ensure your eventual destruction. There are truly people in this world who are worthy of being hated and who should be feared as enemies. Take Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, for instance, the squinty-eyed fundamentalist Muslim Iranian President who has promised to “wipe [the state of] Israel off the face of the earth”, and who views the West as his enemy.

Barack Obama has awakened a sleeping nation!
Gary Hubbell – Aspen Times Weekly
Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.
Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America’s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.
That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.
Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

After spending 26 hours in the Baltimore County Jail, Anthony Graber still doesn’t understand what he did wrong.
Sure, the 24-year-old man admits to speeding on his motorcycle, but does that merit having a plainclothes cop pull a gun on him?
Does that merit six state troopers raiding his parents’ home and seizing four computers at the crack of dawn?
Does that merit getting charged with a felony and threatened with five years in prison?
Of course it doesn’t
This is nothing but an obscene case of police intimidation. A Constitutional violation against a man who has served six years in the Air National Guard and who has never been arrested before.
A knee-jerk reaction from the Maryland State Police after Graber posted the video of the cop pulling a gun on him on Youtube (video is below).
That cop’s name is Joseph David Uhler, in case you were wondering. He has no business wearing a badge.
So how come he’s not being punished?
Well, we already know that answer. He’s above the law. They are above the law. The Maryland State Police Department, that is.
Why else would a judge sign a search warrant, allowing them to raid Graber’s parents home at 6:45 a.m. on a weekday, detaining his entire family for 90 minutes, forbidding his mother from going to work and younger sister from going to school while they rummaged through the family’s personal belongings?
And that judge’s name?
That’s a secret.
“There is no signature from the judge on the paperwork,” Graber said in an exclusive Photography is Not a Crime interview Thursday night, just hours after he was released from jail.

The Left’s War on Tea Partiers–Disqualifying humans on the basis of race….

Opponents of the popular expression of conservative opposition to big government, the tea party, regularly note that tea partiers are overwhelmingly white. This is intended to disqualify the tea parties from serious moral consideration.
But there are two other facts that are far more troubling:
The first is the observation itself. The fact that the Left believes that the preponderance of whites among tea partiers invalidates the tea party movement tells us much more about the Left than it does about the tea partiers.
It confirms that the Left really does see the world through the prism of race, gender and class rather than through the moral prism of right and wrong.
One of the more dangerous features of the Left has been its replacement of moral categories of right and wrong, and good and evil with three other categories: black and white (race), male and female (gender) and rich and poor (class).
Therefore the Left pays attention to the skin color — and gender (not just “whites” but “white males”) — of the tea partiers rather than to their ideas.
One would hope that all people would assess ideas by their moral rightness or wrongness, not by the race, gender or class of those who hold them. But in the world of the Left, people are taught not to assess ideas but to identify the race, class and gender of those who espouse those ideas. This helps explain the widespread use of ad hominem attacks by the Left: Rather than argue against their opponents’ ideas, the Left usually dismisses those making the argument disagreed with as “racist,” “intolerant,” “bigoted,” “sexist,” “homophobic” and/or “xenophobic.”
You’re against race-based affirmative action? No need to argue the issue because you’re a racist. You’re a tea partier against ever-expanding government? No need to argue the issue because you’re a racist.
As a Leftist rule of thumb — once again rendering intellectual debate unnecessary and impossible — white is wrong or bad, and non-white is right and good; male is wrong and bad, and female is right and good; and the rich are wrong and bad, and the poor right and good. For the record, there is one additional division on the Left — strong and weak — to which the same rule applies: The strong are wrong and bad, and the weak are right and good. That is a major reason for Leftist support of the Palestinians (weak) against the Israelis (strong), for example.

What’s More Important: Liberty Or The Entity That Protects It?
Let me ask readers a question. What’s more important: freedom and its undergirding principles, or the entity meant to protect it? A word of caution: be careful how you answer that question, because the way you answer marks your understanding (or lack thereof) of both freedom and the purpose of government………
