Folks, our country is in big trouble. What kind of man do we have in the White House? President Obama is a Harvard-educated lawyer. Thus, since he attended such a renowned school, I can only conclude that Obama willfully and knowingly distorted/lied about the plight of Hispanic-Americans in Arizona and the state’s immigration law when he said, “…but now suddenly if you don’t have your papers, and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re gonna be harassed, …”

Obama’s statement simply is not true. The Arizona law goes into effect only after a subject has or is suspected of committing a crime. So, if a Hispanic person does not rob the ice cream shop, it is safe to say he and his child can enjoy their ice cream in peace.

And yet, our characterless president and the liberal mainstream media in solidarity with those who boldly and arrogantly break our laws are shamefully promoting lies about the Arizona immigration law. Why? To recruit future Democrat voters.

Obama and the liberal mainstream media apparently couldn’t care less about the national racial tension and violence fueled by their irresponsible distortion of the Arizona law. This is the Al Sharpton and Tawana Brawley Hoax all over again. Only this time, it is the President of the United States spreading lies and fueling the flames of racial hatred.

In 2008, the birthers, in full throttle, were in hot pursuit of any case or controversy they could find to stop the man. They wanted him off the ballot completely. Or, if that failed, they wanted him at least ruled ineligible to become President of the United States. The controversy had been stoked by media reports, including in the New York Times. It finally led to an inquiry in Washington, D.C., in an elegant conference room. The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Patrick Leahy, D-VT, banged the gavel and officially opened a congressional hearing. The burning question of the day was to inquire into the birth and constitutional eligibility for the presidency of John Sidney McCain III.

Last week, we were discussing the Obama administration’s anti-freedom, anti-capitalist agenda.

When a political leader snidely characterizing those who challenge his initiatives to vastly expand federal regulation and management of the economy as being in the pay of “greedy insurance executives,” “big bankers,” and the like, I don’t see how anyone can argue he’s not against the free market.

In fact, they don’t. Mr. Obama’s champions respond by citing all the injustices which they believe are wrought by the free market.

Therefore, by their own words, their agenda is anti-freedom.

Their fall-back position appears to be, “It had to be done or things would have gotten much worse.”

But the huge government economic interventions of the past three years — under Bush and Obama both — have done far more harm than good. Angela Merkel in Germany resisted calls for huge government “stimulus” spending on the Bush-Obama-McCain model. Left to their own devices, German employment and that country’s modest economic recovery are now doing better than ours.

In the interview Hughes asks about demands for then candidate Barack Obama to publicly distance himself from Min. Farrakhan, he said he understood the pressures Obama faced. “I never endorsed him. I just spoke well of him,” Farrakhan said.

”When he denounced me, he was forced into that. For me, I saw the bigger picture. I told all those that are with me, ‘Don’t you say one negative thing about what he said or what he did. Just be quiet.’ And do you know … when that young man was elected, black people came to me and thanked me, because I never allowed anything to pull me out into that which would hurt that brother. The bigger picture at that moment was Barack Obama, not Louis Farrakhan.”

• Fix oil spill in Gulf
• Calm Wall Street, stop stock blood bath
• Reduce unemployment (It went up in April!)
• Deal with immigration wars
• Israel and Palestinians—is there a solution?
• Floods in Tennessee
• Stop Iran from going nuclear
• Get going on mid-term elections!
• The damn deficit
• Mexican drug cartels—Coming to America?
• Save Harry Reid’s arse
• Send Vera Baker a couple million from the “stimulus” deal— call it funds to set the record straight re conservative trash talk

Honestly, can a naive community organizer with no experience really be expected to prosper in this environment?

Is the central purpose of communication to persuade an audience or to tell them the truth? Of course, a combination of both is the goal of effective and ethical speaking. But has this question ever sprung to Barack Obama’s mind when rising to pontificate? Contra, it appears Obama’s entire approach to communication is simply using words to service political goals. He continually sacrifices honesty to expedience in his “Pragmatic” manner. In short, Barack is a “sophist,” misusing words to create false impressions of reality to fool people into supporting his policies.

Unfortunately, given the mainstream media’s liberal default, we can’t often discover inconsistencies in their favored figures. So we often don’t know when leftist leaders are lying. Contra, media bogeymen receive coverage either warped, or wholly falsified. Consider when Dan Rather offered “proof” President Bush had dodged Vietnam, itself a transparent forgery. It’s dangerous when the 4^th Estate utterly abandons any pretense of unbiased reporting, simply operating like brained-addled celebrity hacks; functionally no differently than a star-struck high school girl “reporter” doing a feature on the quarterback/homecoming king.
