UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. – A 69-year-old former Marine is being held on $3 million bond, accused of shooting and killing his neighbor after the neighbor’s dog urinated on his lawn.

Neighbors say Charles J. Clements obsessed over his lawn, routinely winning beautification and lawn upkeep awards, but was also known to threaten anyone who dared to set foot on it.
