Stock markets and consumer confidence have fallen to new lows in June in reflection of a massive lack of growth in jobs in the private sector. The Conference Board just reported that consumer attitudes dropped from 62.7 in May to 52.9 in June. Many are speculating now that we are in the beginnings of a depression and certainly not recovering in housing, jobs and markets.

While the markets and economy is bucking widely to the out-of-control spending and lack of leadership with the Obama administration and this congress, we see oil splashing up on Gulf shores, another reflection of profoundly incompetent leadership and intervention by Obama.

With the oil spill disaster and economy we see Obama’s worldview and priorities which lead and reflect all his responses and strategies. With him, every disaster and national challenge has to be manipulated and submit to his transforming passion of Marxist/socialism, accumulation of power and control.

Just look at the Gulf disaster Obama blender or reality.

The explosion happened in April. Obama responded and went to the Gulf 12 days later. Governor Bobby Jindal and a host of other concerned leadership called for immediate help. Jindal requested that the Government build emergency berms to block the oil from flooding the Louisiana beaches. The Obama blender response was to have an Environmental impact study done. They wanted to see what the Internet had to say.

Thirteen countries offered state-of-the-art equipment and money help. The Obama blender said no, hiding behind the Jones act, which could have easily been set aside as Bush did with Katrina. This was another sham of leadership by this President.

Why has President Obama waited over two months into the BP oil spill crisis before accepting offers of international assistance that were there from the very start, seemingly waiting for hurricanes to hit the region which will only make the crisis worse?

Obama’s acceptance of international help is too little, too late – over two months late to be exact.

We now learn that he is starting the process of allowing international help, a process that will take weeks or months and will likely be strangled and restricted by the EPA anyway.

Foreign ships have been prevented from helping ^[2] in the clean up process. Every effort has been made to stop outside involvement in the situation and almost everything we learn about the crisis comes directly from BP or the federal government. This strictly enforced cover-up shows that authorities are more concerned about protecting their information lock down than actually cleaning up the spill.

Obama initially blocked international help, citing the Jones Act, which forbids foreign ships from operating between U.S. ports, and thereby preventing the use of sophisticated technology which foreign firms insist could have sealed the leak.

The idea for a Courageous Restraint Medal reportedly came from British Maj. Gen. Nick Carter. It apparently never progressed beyond the conceptual state. It was however described by a spokesman for Gen. McChrystal as an “idea consistent with our approach…”

We can rightly admire the hardy professional discipline of men and women who dutifully follow rules of engagement that wantonly endanger their lives. But like the stirring but infamous “Charge of the Light Brigade” the spectacle of their sacrifice inspires nothing but angry contempt for the military and civilian authorities incompetent or callous enough to require that they throw their lives away. What a far cry from the strategic clarity with which WWII’s General Patton inspired his troops. It was clear that for him the objective is not to lose their lives, but to gain the victory that secures our just and peaceful way of life.

Please forgive the vanity post- I know you all hate them. But I am driven to ask this question- WHy cannot the people demand the resignation of this totallly incompetent man? And not just him- ALL his appointees and czars, AND his SC appointees, as well.

General McChrystal and his top officers are not simple-minded, knuckle-dragging brutes. To the contrary, they are intelligent, thoughtful, highly educated, patriots… graduates of West Point and other fine universities… who are dedicated to duty, honor, and country. On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment applies to states and cities as well as the federal government. Judging from their objections, the four dissenters were still reeling from the court’s landmark 2008 decision recognizing that the amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms.

In their dissenting opinions, Justices John Paul Stevens and Stephen Breyer (joined by Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor) worry that overturning gun control laws undermines democracy. If “the people” want to ban handguns, they say, “the people” should be allowed to implement that desire through their elected representatives.

What if the people want to ban books that offend them, establish an official church or authorize police to conduct warrantless searches at will? Those options are also foreclosed by constitutional provisions that apply to the states by way of the 14th Amendment. The crucial difference between a pure democracy and a constitutional democracy like ours is that sometimes the majority does not decide.

Likewise, Stevens defends “state and local legislatures’ right to experiment,” while Breyer is loath to interfere with “the ability of states to reflect local preferences and conditions — both key virtues of federalism.” Coming from justices who think Congress can disregard state decisions about the medical use of marijuana because a plant on the windowsill of a cancer patient qualifies as interstate commerce, this sudden concern about federalism is hard to take seriously.

Another reason to doubt the dissenters’ sincerity: They would never accept federalism as a rationale for letting states “experiment” with freedom of speech, freedom of religion or due process protections. Much of their job, as they themselves see it, involves overriding “local preferences” that give short shrift to constitutional rights.

Second Amendment rights are different, Breyer says, because “determining the constitutionality of a particular state gun law requires finding answers to complex empirically based questions.” So does weighing the claims in favor of banning child pornography or depictions of animal cruelty, relaxing the Miranda rule, admitting illegally obtained evidence or allowing warrantless pat-downs, dog sniffs or infrared surveillance.

When they decide whether a law or practice violates a constitutional right, courts cannot avoid empirical questions. In cases involving racial discrimination or content-based speech restrictions, for example, they ask whether the challenged law is “narrowly tailored to serve a compelling state interest” and is the “least restrictive means” of doing so.

(CNN) — A Missouri VA hospital is under fire because it may have exposed more than 1,800 veterans to life-threatening diseases such as hepatitis and HIV.

John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis has recently mailed letters to 1,812 veterans telling them they could contract hepatitis B, hepatitis C and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) after visiting the medical center for dental work, said Rep. Russ Carnahan.

Carnahan said Tuesday he is calling for a investigation into the issue and has sent a letter to President Obama about it.

“This is absolutely unacceptable,” said Carnahan, a Democrat from Missouri. “No veteran who has served and risked their life for this great nation should have to worry about their personal safety when receiving much needed healthcare services from a Veterans Administration hospital.”

Well, it is official.

Eric Cantor and John Boehner — particularly Eric Cantor — have decided they don’t need or want conservatives and, more troubling, do not have any intention of trying to win at the polls by forcing Democrat hands on Obamacare.

Our leadership is behaving badly.

Last week and on Monday I mentioned Rep. Steve King’s effort to repeal Obamacare and start over. He’s filed a discharge petition. If he gets 218 signatures, Nancy Pelosi must hold a vote.

At the time, I was hearing that Eric Cantor was desperate to undermine Steve King’s efforts and, sure enough, he’s trying. Worse, he has John Boehner helping him.

Let me explain.

King’s legislative effort would repeal Obamacare and start over. In effect, all those Democrats who have been saving they too want to start over get a “put up or shut up” moment by signing the King discharge petition.

Today, Eric Cantor and John Boehner are announcing that they’ll sign King’s discharge petition, but they’re also going to go with one by Congressman Wally Herger that would repeal Obamacare and replace it with a Republican alternative.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal’s relief of command by President Barack Obama has a recent precedent, at least one that involves the issue of respect for the military chain of command, a magazine article and the end of a fine military career.

In March 2008, following an interview with Esquire Magazine, Adm. William J. “Fox” Fallon, a leader with a stellar military record, resigned as commander of Central Command and retired from the U.S. Navy.

Esquire portrayed the former carrier pilot as the only man standing between President George W. Bush and a war with Iran. A senior American military officer must be prepared to pay the price of relief when publicly disagreeing with the commander in chief, the president of the United States.

Adm. Fallon’s opinions weren’t the sole difficulty. His views, in a less provocative rhetorical context — say, a dry discussion of what-if scenarios — might have raised eyebrows but not hackles. Election-year rhetorical and political tropes, however, jammed the article. “Neo-con” and “Bush” demon connivers threaten the world with immolation because they want war with Iran. Yet Fallon stands tall, prepared to be relieved for speaking truth.

As published, the article challenged the system of civilian control of the military, which serves America well. Fallon may or may not have gotten his say — odds are he did, but as relayed by Esquire they dovetailed with a perceived elect-a-lefty media agenda.

In the last two years, however, even a few of those media and political elites have discovered what a farce it is to attempt to placate Tehran’s Khomeinists. Obama issued apologies in Cairo and offered negotiations sans conditions. The CIA now thinks the mullahs have enough uranium for two bombs, seemingly revising a controversial assessment from fall 2007 that said Iran would not get nukes until 2015. The problem wasn’t the Bush’s approach — the problem is bigoted fanatics who want weapons that kill millions.

With those words in mind, alarm bells should have gone off during Elena Kagan’s confirmation testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. Here’s what Kagan told Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa):

It has long been thought, starting from the “Miller” case, that the Second Amendment did not protect such a right. . . . Now the Heller decision has marked a very fundamental moment in the court’s jurisprudence with respect to the Second Amendment. And as I suggested to Senator Feinstein there is not question going forward that ‘Heller’ is the law, that it is entitled to all the precedent that any decision is entitled to and that is true to the ‘McDonald’ case as well…

There are two big problems with Kagan’s remarks: she inaccurately describes the 1939 “Miller” case and her claims to follow stare decisis are meaningless. . . .

A well-placed source in California told WMR that the California Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) has been briefed by its counterpart agencies in the Gulf coast states that there are plans to conduct a mass evacuation of millions of Gulf coast residents due to the catastrophic environmental and public health effects of the BP oil disaster.

CEMA officials have been briefed on the planned evacuations by counterparts in the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, and the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

The Gulf states’ emergency planners stressed to their California counterparts that they are dealing with a disaster of unprecedented proportions and that contingency plans are being constantly updated and revised on ways to deal with the transformation of the Gulf of Mexico into a deadly “toxic soup” of oil and Corexit 9500 oil dispersants and the atmosphere into a dangerous mixture of hydrocarbon gases.

CEMA was briefed on the impending mass evacuation since California would be expected to absorb a large number of evacuees from the Gulf states. CEMA officials did not say how the state of California, which is virtually bankrupt, would pay for the influx of hundreds of thousands and perhaps greater numbers of evacuees from the Gulf coastal region.

BP has confirmed its 45-ton blowout preventer is tilting sideways up to 15 degrees. Rogue scientists (the ones not working for BP or the government) point to tilting as evidence of a severely weakened well, and warn it could fall and crash the entire rig through the ocean floor.

A massive sinkhole could either shut down the leak or make the disaster much worse. BNET summarized theories on The Oil Drum from optimistic to apocalyptic:

China threw open the gates of its secretive Central Party School on Wednesday, offering foreign journalists a rare but carefully scripted peek at the leafy campus where the country’s Communist elite are trained.

Hizb ut-Tahrir, an Islamic extremist group working for uniting the world under Sharia law, is scheduled to hold its second annual conference on July 11 at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook. The theme of the event is, “Emerging World Order: How the Khilafah Will Shape the World.” The organization has chosen the home of President Obama, the leader of the free world, to pursue its anti-democratic agenda by taking advantage of the freedoms it seeks to vanquish.

“HT recruiters use religious language to pull the confused Muslim youth to their side in an effort to undermine American democracy. The danger of this conference is that it legitimizes HT as a mainstream organization and allows it to further spread its hate-filled message that divides Muslims and non-Muslims,” Zeyno Baran, a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, told FrontPage.

Hizb ut-Tahrir has accurately been described as “a conveyor belt to terror” by Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, the moderate Muslim leader of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. Although the group condemns terrorism and doesn’t publicly support violence, several of its members have gone on to become major terrorists, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The group may not embrace the tactics of Al-Qaeda but their goals are the same. Hizb ut-Tahrir’s first conference in the U.S. was held last year in Chicago and was titled, “The Fall of Capitalism & the Rise of Islam.” It was attended by between five and six hundred people, and one speaker openly called for throwing out the U.S. Constitution and putting Sharia law in its place.

Although Hizb ut-Tahrir has condemned the 9/11 attacks and has been criticized by Al-Qaeda, this does not make them moderate. They support violent jihad overseas, praising Palestinian suicide bombers as “martyrs,” calling for the destruction of Israel, and supporting those fighting non-Muslim soldiers in Muslim lands. Footage has been found of the group’s leaders supporting militants in Kashmir and Chechnya and leaflets have called on Muslims to fight Coalition forces in Iraq.

Athreya’s basic argument appears to be that only professional research economists should be allowed to discuss economics because, well, economics is really hard, and nobody else has a chance of understanding it or appreciating all the complexity of the discipline. “When a professional research economist thinks or talks about social insurance, unemployment, taxes, budget deficits, or sovereign debt, among other things, they almost always have a very precisely articulated model that has been vetted repeatedly for internal coherence,” he writes. One of the most illuminating questions in respect of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the right to keep and bear arms is whether it should be applauded by the liberals or by conservatives — or both. The court, in a case called McDonald v. Chicago, followed a ruling two years ago, in a case called District of Columbia v. Heller, in which the court said that the federal government could not infringe the rights vouched safe by the Second Amendment. In the latest case it extended that logic, deciding that the Second Amendment does apply to the states and municipalities. As in Heller, it stopped short of saying there could be no regulation of guns. But it did say that the Second Amendment protects Americans from interference by all levels of government.

Unknown vandals unhappy about atheists’ billboard in Charlotte, N.C., spray-painted “Under God” on the ad, the city’s atheist association discovered Monday. The defaced message will remain in place until after July 4, the group reports, which is the soonest that workers can furnish a fresh billboard image. Here’s how the vandalized billboard now looks:

The billboard reads, “One Nation Indivisible,” which is the phrase preceding the 1954 insertion of the words “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance, reports the Charlotte Observer’s Tim Funk. The billboard was erected on Billy Graham Parkway last week. (Graham is, of course, the state’s famous evangelical preacher.)

Similar North Carolina ads have gone up in Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem as a Fourth of July project by the area’s atheist association. The group has filed a police report and will replace the billboard.

Can we stop pretending that liberal jurisprudence is anything but warmed over politics in a judicial robe?  Yesterday’s decision by the Supreme Court in McDonald v. Chicago proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the left-leaning justices will vote what they believe regardless of what a law’s intentions were.  Concepts like ‘stare decisis‘ (the legal principle that obliges judges to respect precedents established by prior decisions) that were so important during the confirmation hearings of Justice Roberts, mean nothing to the sitting liberal justices.  Each of the left leaning judges voted as if The District of Columbia vs Heller had not decided unequivocally that the right to keep and bear arms was an individual right.  Justices Stevens, Breyer, Ginsburg, and Sotomayor ignored stare decisis, the law, and the intentions of the authors of our Constitution to vote against restraints on Government power.

“These obvious harms pale into insignificance, however, compared to the national disaster of having an outright usurper purportedly “elected” as “President.” In this situation, it is downright idiocy to claim, as did the judge in Berg v. Obama, that a “generalized” injury somehow constitutes no judicially cognizable injury at all.

Self-evidently, to claim that a “generalized” grievance negates “the existence of an injury in fact” is patently illogical—for if everyone in any group can complain of the same harm of which any one of them can complain, then the existence of some harm cannot be denied; and the more people who can complain of that harm, the greater the aggregate or cumulative seriousness of the injury.

The whole may not be greater than the sum of its parts; but it is at least equal to that sum! Moreover, for a judge to rule that no injury redressable in a court of law exists, precisely because everyone in America will be subjected to an individual posing as “the President” but who constitutionally cannot be (and therefore is not) the President, sets America on the course of judicially assisted political suicide.

If Obama turns out to be nothing more than an usurper who has fraudulently seized control of the Presidency, not only will the Constitution have been egregiously flouted, but also this whole country could be, likely will be, destroyed as a consequence.

And if this country is even credibly threatened with destruction, every American will be harmed—irretrievably, should the threat become actuality—including those who voted or intend to vote for Obama, who are also part of We the People.

Therefore, in this situation, any and every American must have “standing” to demand—and must demand, both in judicial fora and in the fora of public opinion—that Obama immediately and conclusively prove himself eligible for “the Office of President.”

The Supreme Court interpreted the Second Amendment correctly.

Now that the Supreme Court of the United States has decided that the Second Amendment to the Constitution means that individual Americans have a right to bear arms, what can we expect?

Those who have no confidence in ordinary Americans may expect a bloodbath, as the benighted masses start shooting each other, now that they can no longer be denied guns by their betters. People who think we shouldn’t be allowed to make our own medical decisions, or decisions about which schools our children attend, certainly are not likely to be happy with the idea that we can make our own decisions about how to defend ourselves.

When you stop and think about it, there is no obvious reason why issues like gun control should be ideological issues in the first place. It is ultimately an empirical question whether allowing ordinary citizens to have firearms will increase or decrease the amount of violence.

Here is video of Sen. Jeff Sessions this morning at the end of his questioning of Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan, saying to her that he was “taken aback” by her attempts to dodge the truth about how she prevented military recruiters from conducting their work at the Harvard Law School when she was Dean there, because she was trying to make a political statement against the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

“I’m just a little taken aback by the tone of your remarks, because it’s unconnected to reality. I know what happened at Harvard. I know you were an outspoken leader against the military policy. I know you acted without legal authority to reverse Harvard’s policy and deny those – the military equal access to campus until you were threatened by the United States Government of loss of Federal Funds. This is what happened!”

It is what happened. And President Obama should never have nominated someone to sit on the Supreme Court who treated our military in this way. If she would act against the military to advance her political and social views, don’t you think she will use her position on the Supreme Court to do the same?

Republican support for the troops and the spread of democracy throughout the world is one thing, but standing behind a disinterested Commander in Chief whose halfhearted policies and questionable commitment to the Afghanistan war, which under his leadership will almost certainly lead to defeat, is quite another.

President Obama views the war is nothing more than a distraction. While he has given numerous prime time speeches on liberal priorities including healthcare, banking and energy reform, we have yet to see a single Oval Office address on Afghanistan.

His personal commitment to the conflict stems mainly from campaign pledges he made in 2008. In an attempt to portray himself as a capable military leader, Obama argued the “good” war was in Afghanistan, and as President he would bring the fight to the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

Unfortunately for us, the Afghan situation probably doesn’t mean much more to him than a campaign slogan. Rather than go all out for victory as President Bush had done in Iraq, Obama treats the war like it were any other political issue…

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said after meeting with President Obama and other senators on Tuesday that he is ready to “scale back” the reach of energy legislation to get Republican support.

“We believe we have compromised significantly, but we are prepared to compromise further,” he told reporters outside the White House. “If Republicans can step forward, we can find a place of compromise.”

Kerry said that in the meeting with nearly two dozen senators of both parties, Obama was “very clear about putting a price on carbon” and curbing greenhouse gases. Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said Obama made an “effective argument that polluters should pay.”

Why is there any surprise in America that the Cold War never really ended?

When the Soviet Union collapsed on its own misery, Communism struck out for greener pastures in the West.  And you can’t get anymore “West” than America.

A place in the sun was being prepared in America for Mikhail Gorbachev, even before he abandoned ship.

This is what Gorbachev told the Politburo in 1989: “Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years.  These are primarily for outward consumption.  There will be no significant change in the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our aim is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep.” (Italics CFP’s).

And disarming America is precisely what Gorbachev went on to successfully do.

It’s not as if if Gorbachev faded into the woodwork after his well celebrated arrival in America.  To this day,  he’s an active member of the Maurice Strong, George Soros triumvirate pulling the puppet strings of President Barack Obama.

No one eased the path for Gorbachev’s agenda to close federal military bases around the U.S. more than Nancy Pelosi.

“Pelosi’s involvement in the disposal of federal military surplus land is matched only by Gorbachev, who as founder of Green Cross International (GCI) devised a mechanism for converting American military bases to civilian uses converting the bases over to “global centers for sustainability.” (Canada Free Press, Nov. 15, 2006).

During her Presidio stint, it is alleged that she was an investor in a real estate investment called Presidio Partners.

Gorby hit the ground running upon his arrival in America.  His mission of converting American military bases to global centers for sustainability came just two years after he resigned as president of the Soviet Union on Dec. 25, 1991.

CGI built on the 1992 Earth Summit in rio de Janeiro and supported the implementation of the Summit’s Agenda 21.

It was Nancy Pelosi who patiently shepherded Agenda 21 through Congress.  On March 29, 1993 she introduced a joint resolution (H.J. RES166) to renew the call for the United States to “assume a strong leadership role in implementing Agenda 21and other Summit agreements”, eventually gathering 67 co-sponsors for her bill, roughly 30 of whom are still in Congress to the present day.

In a speech entitled “From Swords to Plowshares”, delivered in the House of Representatives on June 4, 1992, Pelosi cheered the arrival of Gorbachev to San Francisco’s Presidio as a tenant.

The definition of a socialist government is one that distrusts its citizens. It may distrust them in a “benevolent way”, that is its leaders believe that the people are insufficiently competent to look after themselves, or it may distrust them in a “paranoid way”, in that its leaders believe that the people are dangerous and must be rigidly controlled for the state and society to function along their guidelines. The practical difference between these two lies primarily in their viewpoints and attitudes, in how ruthless and undemocratic the advocates of socialism are willing to be when they don’t get their way.

To be a socialist is to assume that the people cannot care for themselves, that they cannot work or run businesses properly, that they cannot eat properly or shop for anything on their own, that they cannot care for their children or teach them, that they cannot choose their own beliefs in a marketplace of ideas or decide what their government should do. That they cannot decide which system of measurements to use, how to open a can of soda or throw a lawn dart on their own. That they cannot go to a doctor on their own or leave their driveway or raise a barn or so much as sneeze, without the enlightened instruction and over lordship of the nanny state.

In spite of a Hollywood-like DC atmosphere providing the showcase for his tough guy stance, President Barack Obama’s chief enemy is one that has no caboose for him to kick.

Obama’s strongest enemy doesn’t come dressed in the uniform of a 4-star General.  Obama’s most enduring enemy is the American ideal.  And you can’t kill off an ideal, no matter how brutal your best butt boots.  The American ideal cannot be captured or locked up in a box.  It lives in the human heart, defies subjugation and transcends legislation.

Trying to rid the Free World of the American ideal is akin to wrestling with air.

As a tyrant, you can flout your power in nauseating numerous ways and even count on saturation media coverage to disseminate the false message of your bravado.

You can do all those things to demoralize the people living by the ideal, but the ideal will still be standing there, no matter how passionate your fusilades of destruction.

You can shred the Constitution to bits and privately laugh it off as you bask in the praise of the people invited to Wednesday night White House parties.  You can get off on the power that comes from flying hither and thither on Air Force One.

You can shoot endless hoops,  play endless rounds of golf, reminding yourself while at play that you’re The Most Powerful Man on Earth.

You can start your own war with the beleaguered State of Arizona and blithely ignore the cries of your own peoples’ pain.

You can make a PR Showcase for Cap and Trade by blockading anything that might ease the Gulf oil spill.

Even though you can’t stifle the daily insults around the office water cooler, you can fire a four star general all because some of his staff took potshots at easy to poke fun at Joe Biden.

You can even, with an uncouth and crude claim in the most unpresidential language of all time, “kick #####”.

But try as you might, you cannot kick in the caboose of an ideal.

On Monday morning, the Supreme Court handed down its decision in the case of McDonald v Chicago, a follow-on case to the Heller case in which the Court ruled that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual, not a collective, right. America Needs a Political Messiah

Barack Obama may command the oceans to recede and inspire unquestioning fanaticism in his disciples, but he is no messiah.

We need a real political messiah, whose zeal for the founding fathers’ house consumes him.

We need a messiah who will make a whip of cords and drive the moneychangers from the US Capitol, which they have turned into a “den of robbers.”

We need a messiah who will call the politicians what they are: A brood of vipers, hypocrites! who bind up laws to burden good citizens, while they exempt themselves.

These political pharisees strain out a gnat when circumscribing citizens’ rights, but swallow the camel for personal and partisan political gain and the millions that it brings them.

Their cup is clean on the outside, but on the inside it is full of greed and self-indulgence.

Our government institutions are “beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.” This leads We The People to view those in power with suspicion: “In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

A new documentary set to hit the big screen this summer lifts the lid on the cover-up behind the death of Pat Tillman, the pro-football star who gave up a lucrative career to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq before preparing to return to the U.S. as an anti-war icon, at which point he was killed in a so-called friendly fire incident that more closely resembled a deliberate assassination.

Whether or not the documentary delves into the question of whether Tillman’s death was a targeted act of murder remains to be seen, but the evidence strongly indicates that Tillman was deliberately assassinated in order to prevent him from becoming an anti-war icon and derailing public support in the United States for the ongoing occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tillman sacrificed the good life and a multi-million dollar football career in the belief that he was defending his country from outside enemies, and soon after 9/11 turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million over three years from the Cardinals to enlist in the U.S. Army.

President Obama is being hailed for toughness in his firing of Gen. McChrystal and brilliance in his replacing him as Afghan field commander with Gen. David Petraeus, who managed the George W. Bush “surge” in Iraq that saved this nation from an ignominious defeat.

Herewith, a dissent.

By firing a fighting general, beloved of his troops, Obama just took upon himself full responsibility for the McChrystal Plan. The general is off the hook.

As of now, the plan is not succeeding. And given the inability of Kabul to deliver the “government in a box” to Marja, after Marines supposedly de-Talibanized the town, the McChrystal Plan is failing. The Battle of Kandahar has not yet begun, though the June D-Day has come and gone.

Should we be in this same bloody stalemate in December, Obama will be blamed for having fired his field commander who devised his battle plan, and was carrying it out, over some stupid insults from staff officers to some counterculture magazine.

More critically, Obama just made himself hostage to a savvy general who is said to dream of one day holding Obama’s office.

Consider the box Obama just put himself in.

In his June 3rd meeting with Arizona Governor Brewer President Obama promised he would send White House officials to Arizona within two weeks to see what help could be offered in the border security emergency. That long overdue meeting was finally held Monday, June 28, and Governor Brewer was underwhelmed. Out of only 1200 National Guard troops Obama authorized be made available for border security only 524 will be available at the peak of deployment for only a few months in Arizona.

Utopia! It’s the holy grail of egalitarian busybodies far and wide. If passed, high income earners — who already bear a disproportionate share of New York’s tax burden — will pitch in an additional 11 percent. The broken record known as Hillary Clinton still laments how “the rich” don’t pay their “fair share” of taxes. Oregon, too, has joined the chorus.

A sobering report circulating in the Kremlin today from President Medvedev’s meeting with other World leaders at the G8 summit in Muskoka, Ontario states that President Obama has warned his counterparts that the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster “will most likely kill millions, perhaps tens of millions” of people during the coming year.

Fueling Obama’s dire assessment of this “Gulf Apocalypse”, this report says, are the oil and toxic rains now being reported to be falling throughout the US Gulf Coast region due to the fracturing of the Gulf of Mexico seafloor allowing untold millions of gallons of oil and millions of cubic feet of methane gas to escape unchecked into our World’s seventh largest body of water, not to mention the millions of gallons of dangerous disbursements being used that is poisoning everything in its path.

So dangerous has the Gulf Coast environment become to human beings the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning that, in part, says:

“People, including pregnant women, can be exposed to these chemicals by breathing them (air), by swallowing them (water, food), or by touching them (skin). If possible, everyone, including pregnant women, should avoid the oil and spill-affected areas.”

With nearly 20 million American’s living along the affected Gulf Coast region one wonders where they could all go and leaving many to speculate a massive evacuation is being planned by the US Government of the entire region.

This view, however, is not shared by a Louisiana woman named Kindra Arnesen who was allowed unprecedented access to the BP Operations Center overseeing this catastrophe and reported to the Gulf Emergency Summit this past week that along with millions of fish dying because of this disaster people are falling ill all over the region.

“O” is his logo, with dramatic red and blue swirls that are supposed to imply some sort of connection to the nation over which he now presides. After observing more than a year of performance, it is clear that his connection to his Muslim roots is far greater than his appreciation of the U.S. Constitution.

“B” is his background, rich with influence from Marxists and loony leftists who guided his early years and followed him through his initial training in Chicago thugocracy. Now that he is in Washington, he has selected an incredible team of Marxist sympathizers and leftists to advise his every move.

“A” is the arrogance that exudes from his every movement. It appears that he believes he was endowed by his Creator with not only the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” but also with total infallibility of thought, word or deed.

“M” is the Messiah complex which compelled him to stand before a German audience and declare that “…I am a citizen of the world” and allows school children to sing his praises: “Obama can, mmm, mmm, mmm.” Watch the indoctrination of “Obama Scholars.”

“A” is the attitude that is always condescending. When he speaks, everything is about “Me, my, and I.” He thinks his opponents are either stupid people who “cling to their guns and religion,” or are one exercise away from being domestic terrorists.

I try not to watch the MSM very often, but today I tuned into Glenn Beck for his “Founders Friday” program. Sadly, it turned out to be nothing more than a pitch to the multiculturalists where he praised the efforts of black Americans throughout history, particularly in the War for Independence. Beck and his guest David Barton were groveling at the feet of those who demand that history should be studied from month to month, each month honoring some ethnic minority wronged by evil white males, past and present.
