If you guessed “far-right garbage,” give yourself a cookie. John Avlon reviews the punditry giant’s just-released The Overton Window for the Daily Beast, and, wouldn’t you know it, his diagnosis dovetails nicely with the thesis of Avlon’s own book (funny how that works out…).
Avlon finds Overton to be “an instructively bad book because it offers a complete color-by-numbers picture of the contemporary Wingnut psyche,” exposing Beck (and, by extension, his conservative allies and sympathizers) as a paranoid crank (perhaps-unwittingly) ginning up the fears of various malcontents on the verge of armed rebellion.

Why does Fannie Mae, a government mortgage finance company, have a patent on a device that would allow the government to turn off the energy in your home whenever they want to? The device is put into the outlets in your home and cannot be removed without a special device.

While the country is focused on the growing catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico resulting from the BP oil spill and decades of asinine policies enacted by environmentalist extremist politicians, another looming threat is being overshadowed.
Illegal aliens are continuing their assault on America, aided and abetted by the Obama Administration.
(AP Photo/Drew Angerer). Hillary Clinton chimes in on the federal government’s intention to sue Arizona over its new illegal alien law.
Federal law is very clear on the subject of illegal aliens. It is a felony to aid or abet an illegal alien in any way in the United States of America. Illegals, by law, are supposed to be detained and deported. And the law makes it clear that one of the primary roles of the federal government is to protect the borders from this form of illegal activity.

Is cyberspace about to get censored?
Confronting threats ranging from Chinese superhackers to the release of secret documents on WikiLeaks and other whistleblowing websites, the Obama administration may be on the verge of assuming broad new powers to regulate the Internet on national-security grounds.
The powers are granted to the White House under a bipartisan bill that was introduced in the Senate only last week but is already moving quickly through Congress toward passage. The legislation has generated considerable buzz on tech blogs—but drawn little notice so far by major news organizations.
“The way it seems to be worded, the bill could easily represent a threat to free speech,” said Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The Mainstream Media is tripping all over itself deciding how to not embarrass itself over the latest demonstrations of incompetence emanating from the Oval office. America not only elected a novice with absolutely no worthwhile experience in managing anything, other than giving a speech, but through its votes America also populated the White House with incompetent individuals.
American voters should have thought a little longer on the ramifications of hiring an apprentice President. Of course, the nature of an apprentice is to work under the wings of an expert, which makes what’s going in the Oval office rather understandable. There’s no one with talent or experience in running anything, who might take the President under his or her wing.
For a country built on the fruits and creativity of the entrepreneurial spirit, it remains stupefying that an administration voicing so much animosity toward business and the business ethos was ever elected. I noted before the election that the “Tells” were of grave concern. Now, well into this Administration’s ill-advised ramblings and mismanaged trampings through the complex corridors of the economy, foreign affairs and domestic affairs, the MSM finds itself looking for rationalizations.
