Muslim States Seek U.N. Action on West’s “Islamophobia”

GENEVA (Reuters) – Muslim states said on Wednesday that what they call “islamophobia” is sweeping the West and its media and demanded that the United Nations take tougher action against it.
Delegates from Islamic countries, including Pakistan and Egypt, told the United Nations Human Rights Council that treatment of Muslims in Western countries amounted to racism and discrimination and must be fought.
“People of Arab origin face new forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance and experience discrimination and marginalization,” an Egyptian delegate said, according to a U.N. summary.
And Pakistan, speaking for the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), said the council’s special investigator into religious freedom should look into such racism “especially in Western societies.”
Acting for the OIC, Pakistan has tabled a resolution at the council instructing its special investigator on religious freedom “to work closely with mass media organizations to ensure that they create and promote an atmosphere of respect and tolerance for religious and cultural diversity.”
The OIC — and its allies in the 47-nation council including Russia, China and Cuba — dub criticism of Muslim practices and linking of terrorism waged under the proclaimed banner of Islamism as “islamophobia” that pillories all Muslims.
BOUND TO PASS
Diplomats say the resolution, which also tells the investigator to make recommendations to the Human Rights Council on how its strictures might be implemented, is bound to pass given the majority the OIC and its allies have in the body.

President Barack (“Barry”) Obama delivered his first televised address from the Oval Office, trying to reassure the nation that he was fully in control of the Gulf oil spill crisis and that it will be fixed.
As usual, Obama gave a slick performance. However, his speech was short on credible details demonstrating how he intended to finally marshall the federal government’s full resources to tackle the clean-up. While continuing to claim, against all the evidence, that he has been in command of the crisis from Day 1, he failed to explain some serious mistakes and inaction.

Bachmann, who was speaking to a gathering of bloggers held at the conservative Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., criticized the administration’s response to the massive oil spill in the Gulf.
The conservative from Minnesota said she was particularly bothered by the call President Obama made Monday–later reiterated in his Oval Office address Tuesday night–for BP to set aside money for reimbursements to victims of the Gulf oil spill that would be administered independently, taking control of the money away from the company.
“The president just called for creating a fund that would be administered by outsiders which would be more of a redistribution-of-wealth fund, and now it appears we’re going to be looking at yet one more gateway for more government control, more money to government,” she said. “If there’s a disaster, why is it that government is the one who always seems to benefit after a disaster?”

The other day I ran across a clip from the 1976 film “Network” — of course, the “Mad As Hell” speech which is a perfect match for the political mood of the country today.
But then I remembered there were some other great speeches & scenes, and when I reviewed them again, sure enough — it right on the money for today!
No, I am not saying that a writer in 1976 had some magical powers to predict the future, but yesterday’s hyperbola is today’s reality. How weird is that?

Last week, I had an emergency root canal. A root canal is an excruciating tribulation but once it’s over, you will be better off for it. The same cannot be said of Obama’s Oval Office screed.
A mere seven weeks into America’s most damaging environmental emergency, our commander in chief assured us that he will lead us to someplace even though he has no clue where that someplace may be. What he does know for an unqualified certainty is that only the government can get us to that chimerical someplace.
Obama’s efforts to deflect criticism onto BP will be blunted when the public figures out that BP and Obama are singing from the same hymnal on energy policy. Three oil companies are on board for cap and tax, among them is BP.
“But two months later, BP signed off on Kerry’s Senate climate bill, which was hardly a capitalist concoction. One provision BP explicitly backed, according to Congressional Quarterly and other media reports: a higher gas tax. The money would be earmarked for building more highways, thus inducing more driving and more gasoline consumption.”

As part of his obsessive drive to smear anti-big government activists as insanely paranoid and dangerous radicals, Chris Matthews and his guest, establishment neo-lib David Corn, previewed tonight’s “Rise of the New Right” hit piece by claiming that the elite’s agenda to enact dictatorial population control measures was a “conspiracy theory”.
As we have documented on numerous occasions [2], while Matthews points fingers at his political adversaries for preparing to engage in violence, the only real violence we’re witnessing out on the streets is being committed by Obama supporters, MSNBC thugs and other leftists who refuse to tolerate free speech that counters their propaganda.
However, MSNBC’s goal is not just to demonize the Tea Party and anti-big government activists as dangerous radicals as an avenue through which to sick the police state on them and crush their free speech, they’re also desperate to prevent Americans from lending any credence to what people like Alex Jones have to say by acting as gatekeepers to prevent such information from becoming mainstream.
A perfect example of an issue that Matthews and his ilk want to sideline is the manifestly provable fact that elitists have for decades publicly stated their desire to reduce global population by around 80 per cent and as much as 99 per cent.
During MSNBC’s Hardball show on Tuesday [3], Corn characterized the notion that “there is a planetary elite that literally has a secret plan to kill 80 to 99 percent of the population,” as a conspiracy theory.

Corn’s role in covering-up the depopulation agenda is unsurprising given his habitual tactic of trying to discredit anyone [4]who exposes government criminality and corruption. One critic labeled Corn as someone who serves, “As a Neo-Con-lite version of someone who dismisses those who have investigated the crimes of the U.S. government,” in reference to how he tried to undermine the work of the late Gary Webb, an award-winning investigative journalist who exposed the CIA’s involvement in the drug trade.
Despite Corn’s claims to the contrary, the global elite have been forthright, public, and unashamedly enthusiastic about their open intention to cull at least 80 per cent of humanity in the name of saving the planet.
There are still large numbers of people amongst the general public, in academia, and especially those who work for the corporate media, who are still in denial about the on-the-record stated agenda for global population reduction, as well as the consequences of this program that we already see unfolding.
We have compiled a compendium of evidence to prove that the elite have been obsessed with eugenics and its modern day incarnation, population control, for well over 100 years and that goal of global population reduction is still in full force to this day.
The World’s Elite Are Discussing Population Reduction
During a recent TED conference [5], an organization which is sponsored by one of the largest toxic waste polluters on the planet, Gates told the audience that vaccines need to be used to reduce world population figures in order to solve global warming and lower CO2 emissions to almost zero.
Stating that the global population was heading towards 9 billion, Gates said, “If we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services (abortion), we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 per cent.”
Quite how an improvement in health care and vaccines that supposedly save lives would lead to a lowering in global population is an oxymoron, unless Gates is referring to vaccines that sterilize people, which is precisely the same method advocated in White House science advisor John P. Holdren’s 1977 textbook Ecoscience [6], which calls for a dictatorial “planetary regime” to enforce draconian measures of population reduction via all manner of oppressive techniques, including sterilization.
Gates’ eugenicist zeal is shared by his fellow Bilderberg elitists, many of whom have advocated draconian policies of population control in their own public speeches and writings. Indeed, the Rockefeller family funded eugenics research in Germany through the Kaiser-Wilhelm Institutes in Berlin and Munich [7]. The Rockefeller Foundation praised Hitler’s sterilization program in Nazi Germany. David Rockefeller attended the first Bilderberg meeting in 1954 and is now the head of Bilderberg’s “steering committee”.
A joint World Health Organization-Rockefeller inoculation program against tetanus in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines in the early 1990’s was in fact a covert trial on using vaccines to medically abort women’s babies.
“Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization, became suspicious of the motives behind the WHO program and decided to test numerous vials of the vaccine and found them to contain human Chorionic Gonadotrophin, or hCG,” writes historian F. William Engdahl in his article, Bill Gates And Neo-Eugenics: Vaccines To Reduce Population [7]. “That was a curious component for a vaccine designed to protect people against lock-jaw arising from infection with rusty nail wounds or other contact with certain bacteria found in soil. The tetanus disease was indeed, also rather rare. It was also curious because hCG was a natural hormone needed to maintain a pregnancy. However, when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier, it stimulated formation of antibodies against hCG, rendering a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy, a form of concealed abortion. Similar reports of vaccines laced with hCG hormones came from the Philippines and Nicaragua.”
Gates recently announced that he would be funding a sterilization program that would use sharp blasts of ultrasound directed against a man’s scrotum to render him infertile for six months. “The foundation has funded a new “sweat-triggered vaccine delivery” program based on nanoparticles penetrating human skin. The technology is described as a way to “…develop nanoparticles that penetrate the skin through hair follicles and burst upon contact with human sweat to release vaccines,” writes health researcher Mike Adams [8].
As was reported last year by the London Times [9], a “secret billionaire club” meeting in early May 2009 which took place in New York and was attended by David Rockefeller, Ted Turner, Bill Gates and others was focused around “how their wealth could be used to slow the growth of the world’s population”.

Not much manages to surprise me anymore. We live in a world where wrong is right and right is wrong. Common sense has been all but abandoned.
Nothing proves these points more than the news that was released today, through a leaked internal memo, concerning ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Officials at ICE have decided that illegal aliens, who have broken US Federal Laws by entering our country illegally, should be more comfortable at their detention centers. When I speak of comfort, I don’t mean that they are lobbying for an extra blanket or the AC cranked a degree cooler.
No, what I mean by comfort is that these officials have decided that the criminals (yes, they have broken federal laws and that makes them a criminal) that have been caught and who are staying at these detention centers that are operated and owned by Corrections Corporation of America (including a 900 bed facility in North Houston) need to have access to art lessons, bingo games and continental breakfasts on the weekends—courtesy of our hard earned tax payer dollars.
In addition to game time and new yummy breakfast buffets, there are a total of twenty eight changes that will be coming to an ICE Detention Center near you! For example, Detainees will be allowed to wear “more comfortable clothing”—no more of those ugly orange jumpsuits, which just makes you feel like a…well… like a criminal! They will also have “freedom of movement” meaning that there will be no more lockdown or lights out rules.
Detainees will also have permission to have their visitors stay as long as they like within any 12 hour window! Which I guess will be helpful because every detainee will need a dance partner for the new dance classes that will also be offered! They will also have unmonitored phone lines—so nobody has to worry about any more pesky people that could be monitoring their conversations. Now they will be able to call and invite more of their friends from their individual countries to come, stay, and relax at the new American Resorts, also known as ICE Detention Centers.

The federal government would have “absolute power” to shut down the Internet under the terms of a new US Senate bill being pushed by Joe Lieberman, legislation which would hand President Obama a figurative “kill switch” to seize control of the world wide web in response to a Homeland Security directive.
Lieberman has been pushing for government regulation of the Internet for years under the guise of cybersecurity, but this new bill goes even further in handing emergency powers over to the feds which could be used to silence free speech under the pretext of a national emergency.
“The legislation says that companies such as broadband providers, search engines or software firms that the US Government selects “shall immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed” by the Department of Homeland Security. Anyone failing to comply would be fined,” reports ZDNet’s Declan McCullagh [2].
The 197-page bill (PDF [3]) is entitled Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, or PCNAA.
Technology lobbying group TechAmerica warned that the legislation created “the potential for absolute power,” while the Center for Democracy and Technology worried that the bill’s emergency powers “include authority to shut down or limit internet traffic on private systems.”
The bill has the vehement support of Senator Jay Rockefeller, who last year asked during a congressional hearing [4], “Would it had been better if we’d have never invented the Internet?” while fearmongering about cyber-terrorists preparing attacks.

The first response to publicist Maria Sliwa’s e-mail queries to news organizations about whether they would like to receive a review copy of “The Manchurian President: Barack Obama’s Ties to Communists, Socialists and Other Anti-American Extremists” came back from a reporter at the Christian Science Monitor.
The answer was “no.” But it wasn’t just “no.” The reporter called the book by journalist-author-WABC radio host Aaron Klein and researcher Brenda J. Elliott – at the time embargoed and thus unread – a name for toilet paper I’d rather not print. Reflexively, Sliwa hit the delete button (thus losing the reporter’s name for posterity). But when other e-mails started coming back with similarly visceral (and even similarly scatological) responses, she started saving them, realizing the reactions themselves were a story.
And so they are. Again, these e-mails, some of which appear below, are responding to the prospect of a new book by a journalist known for groundbreaking work as the Jerusalem-based correspondent for the popular conservative news site Worldnetdaily.com. Klein was also the journalist who first put the Bill Ayers-Barack Obama story together in February 2008 – 5,000 miles from the United States.
“Ridiculous crap,” wrote John Oswald, news editor of the New York Daily News.
“Never, ever contact me again,” wrote Time Magazine senior writer Jeffrey Kluger.
“Absolute crap,” wrote Evelyn Leopold, former U.N. bureau chief for Reuters.
“Seriously, get a life,” wrote David Knowles, AOL’s political writer.
“This is sensational rubbish that is of no interest to any legitimate publication,” wrote Newsweek deputy editor Rana Foroohar.
Such attitudes help explain why Newsweek is on the block, and why mainstream media in general are hurting. But the mindset itself remains mysterious. These ladies and gents of the Fourth Estate didn’t just want to ignore the Klein-Elliott book about Barack Obama’s radical ties, they wanted to denigrate it, and some quite angrily, which is an out-of-sync reaction to a book that last week debuted on the New York Times bestseller list at No. 10. Somehow, the book was personally or even existentially offensive to these MSMers’ most cherished convictions. Whether such convictions balance on a halo affixed to Barack Obama (threatened by the book’s revelations), or rest on their own sorry credentials as news professionals (ditto), or something else, I don’t know. But this rejectionist reflex, which characterized the abysmal 2008 Obama campaign coverage, is why we now have a president who poses a danger to the future of the republic.

President Obama’s June 2 speech at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, reflected again in his Oval Office speech last night, provided a foundational statement for his economic policies, explaining how he thinks they have worked so far, and how they will bring back prosperity in the rest of his term. Both speeches reveal a man who quite expressly thinks economic growth and prosperity are created by more government spending, higher taxes, and more regulation, and who can’t imagine how anyone else could think differently.
In Pittsburgh, President Obama expressly credited the TARP bailouts of the financial sector, the federal bailout of the auto industry, and his trillion dollars in so-called stimulus spending for ending the recession and restoring economic growth. But this column explained last week that what we are experiencing is a natural, cyclical economic recovery that has been delayed and stunted by Obama’s outdated, counterproductive policies reaching back almost 100 years to the 1930s.

A May 24 working paper on “reinventing” the media proposes that the government impose fees on websites, such as the Drudge Report, that link to news websites or that it tax consumer electronics such as iPads, laptops and Kindles. Funds raised by these levies would be redistributed to traditional media outlets.
While Leibowitz distanced himself from the proposals for the taxes calling them “a terrible idea,” his comments appear to be related only to the levies proposed in the working paper. Nobody is commenting on the other part of his proposal — a subsidy for news organizations.
By now, the Obama M.O. should be clear to all. As he has done with the banks, AIG and the car companies, he extends his left hand offering subsidies and then proffers his right laden with regulations. Should the government follow through on Leibowitz’ ideas and enact special subsidies and tax breaks for news organizations, it will induce a degree of journalistic dependence on the whims of government not seen since the days when the early presidents bestowed government advertising on favored periodicals.

As information regarding the possible evacuation of the Gulf pours in, we now have reports that an epidemic hazard was issued almost two weeks ago. According to RSOE EDIS, a website that has a close partnership with the Hungarian government, this hazard was issued for Venice Louisiana on May 26th, 2010. Reports of nausea and trouble breathing due to the toxic dispersant known as Corexit, seems to be flooding in.
In their two week old report, RSOE stated that British Petroleum workers from all over the Gulf have been getting sick at an alarming rate. Furthermore, the epidemic hazard was declared less than 100 km from an area with a population of over 3 million.

From terrorist attacks and hurricane evacuations to submarine base and nuclear power plant mishaps; bomb blasts, plane crashes, dirty bombs, hazmat spills, earthquakes, medical disasters and train derailments, America is on high alert. Over the past several weeks to the present, more than 35 major disaster drills are taking place throughout America. It makes one wonder what’s prompting all of these emergency exercises and planning venues. Was it confusion over Gov. Palin’s oft-quoted “drill, baby, drill?” No, it’s recognition that the Feds are leaving ordinary citizens to fend for themselves. States aren’t happy about this.

Proof? No one has been more vociferous than Gov. Jindal pleading, imploring for help for Louisiana. Obama’s ears appear to be stuffed with cotton for all the good it’s done. For weeks now, pleas for practical assistance have gone unanswered.
Countless Americans have offered ways to sop up and stop the flow of oil in the Gulf. Has ANYBODY gotten the President’s ear or BP’s for that matter? People with credentials, people with practical know-how and yes, ordinary American citizens blessed with common sense in finding solutions to extraordinary problems have ALL have been ignored. Yeah, well, maybe Kevin Costner is the exception who’s considered an expert in environmental problems. Why did he get a Congressional audience? Because he has a “name”.
Next, Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer. Illegal aliens are making life unbearable for citizens who live there. Because the Southwest is off-radar of D.C movers and shakers, the President and policy-makers ignore this massive and growing disaster. Ditto for the Bush administration.
Illegal immigration doesn’t just affect citizens of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California, Nevada and Colorado, but ALL Americans in the other 44 states. It’s more subtle elsewhere. Because your property isn’t violated, tons of trash doesn’t decorate your land and fences aren’t cut down so illegals can flood into our country, people believe they are unaffected. It’s a problem “over there” – in the uncivilized West. Have you checked what you’re paying in taxes? Looked how schools, hospitals and public agencies are over-burdened? Who’s taking America’s job while we struggle with nearly 10% unimployment? Have you done your homework and found one of the biggest root causes?
Gov. Brewer was finally forced to sign legislation that does nothing more than underscore what’s already on Federal law books. It goes nowhere beyond. Yet, she’s been castigated as racial, a bigot, someone who places herself above Federal law. Isn’t it interesting that after Gov. Brewer took a stand – alone without Federal backing – that it’s catapulted her popularity with her Arizonan constituents. Bravo Ms. Brewer.
If the Feds upheld the Constitution – as written – Gov. Brewer would not have had to endorse Federal law with state provisions. It is a woefully, tragically sorry day when our President resorts to name calling, “ass kicking” and sly innuendo while pasting on a superior smile to get the job done – as he sees it.
Even our President – a man who should be above reproach and blind to color called out Gov. Brewer’s legislation for racial profiling. Oh wait, yes, he hadn’t even read the bill before verbally torpedoing it. Ditto Holder. Ditto Napolitano. And on and on and on. Shame on you “leaders”.

The federal government is now telling American citizens to stay out of three southern Arizona counties. It is too dangerous because of armed smugglers from Mexico.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu: Quite frankly I’m telling you as a sheriff that we don’t control that part of the county. My county is larger than the state of Connecticut and we need support from the federal government. It’s their job to secure the border and they haven’t done it. In fact President Obama suspended the construction of the fence.
Sheriff Paul Babeu: Even with that, you say one thing and then you’re out at a fundraiser in California and you don’t go to the funeral of the people who died in the explosion. You know its one thing to say something slick on television in a ten second soundbite but we need action. And, it’s shameful that we as the most powerful nation on earth can win wars and liberate countries throughout history yet we can’t even secure our own border.

The online Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders says “behavior modification,” a controversial psychological treatment, can be accomplished through positive reinforcement or “punishment,” and now President Obama has signed an executive order specifying the treatment for American citizens whose health may not be what he wants.
Obama’s order appoints members to a new government committee set up by the Democrats’ new health law that will evaluate, make recommendations about and establish rules for everything from how people exercise to whether they smoke to the food they eat and the medicines they use.
It also specifically requires that the committee list the priorities for “lifestyle behavior modification” that the government will pursue.

Faced with yawning budget deficits, state legislators are looking for new revenue sources. Many think hiking cigarette excise taxes is the pain-free answer, but they’re wrong.
This year, Utah and New Mexico have already raised cigarette taxes by $1 per pack and 75 cents per pack, respectively. In 2009, 14 states plus the District of Columbia implemented cigarette-tax hikes. At least 20 states are looking to do likewise in 2010, including Georgia, Kansas, New York and South Carolina.
Lawmakers claim such tax hikes generate substantial revenue while discouraging smoking. Yet the history of cigarette taxes shows otherwise. Any revenue increases following cigarette-tax hikes have typically fallen well short of projections.
When Maryland increased its cigarette tax by $1 per pack last year, Gov. Martin O’Malley promised it would raise $255 million in new revenue. The actual amount was $117 million short of that figure.

Few scholars have led a life as varied as Eugene Volokh’s. Born in the Soviet Union in 1968, Volokh immigrated with his family to the United States at age 7. A prodigy, he entered the University of California at Los Angeles at 12 and graduated at 15 with a degree in math and computer science. At the same time he contributed to the family software business, which became very successful thanks in large part to Eugene’s programming skills.
In his 20s, interested in new challenges, Volokh went to law school, starting on a path that would eventually lead to clerkships with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and the libertarian-leaning 9th Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski. Since 1994 he has taught law at UCLA. As a professor he has achieved not just a strong reputation among his peers, thanks to his scholarship on subjects ranging from cyberspace law to the Second Amendment, but a considerable following outside the legal profession as well, thanks to The Volokh Conspiracy, a consistently interesting website he launched in 2002.
(It was originally called The Volokh Brothers, adopting its present name after the roster of bloggers extended beyond Eugene and his sibling Sasha.) On their blog, Volokh and his collaborators, most of whom share his generally libertarian orientation, cover a wide range of legal and political issues, from the Supreme Court to the Middle East.

Senator Edward M. Kennedy offered to work in close concert with high level Soviet officials to sabotage President Ronald Reagan’s re-election efforts and to arrange for congenial American press coverage of General Secretary Yuri Andropov, according to a 1983 KGB document.
Specifically, Kennedy offered to have “representatives of the largest television companies in the U.S. contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interview.” The idea here would be for the Soviet leader to make an end run around Reagan and make a direct appeal to the American people.
Kennedy suggested that Walter Cronkite, Barbara Walters and Elton Raul, the president of the board of directors for ABC, be considered for the interviews with Andropov in Moscow. He also asked the KGB to consider having “lower level Soviet officials, particularly the military” take part in television interviews inside the U.S. where they could convey peaceful intentions.
The confidential correspondence between Sen. Kennedy and Soviet agents first came to light in a Feb. 2, 1992 report published in the London Times entitled “Teddy, the KGB and the Top Secret File. Paul Kengor, a Grove City College political science professor, included the document in his 2006 book: “The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and The Fall of Communism.”
However, the material has received a paucity of media attention even after Kennedy’s death last year and Monday’s release of his FBI files. Kennedy’s long history of secret overtures to the Soviets at the expense of his own president deserves further exploration as they could provide additional insight into the final, pivotal years of the Cold War.
The KGB document in question includes a letter dated May 14, 1983 from KGB head Viktor Chebrikov addressed to Andropov. Former Senator John Tunney (D-Calif.) traveled to Moscow in May of that year on behalf of Kennedy where he outlined a potential collaborative scheme aimed against Reagan, the KGB letter says.
In the interest of world peace and improved American-Soviet relations, Kennedy offers specific proposals built around a public relations effort designed to “counter the militaristic politics of Reagan and his campaign to psychologically burden the American people,” Chebrikov wrote.
Although it is not made clear who Tunney actually met with in Moscow, the letter does say that Sen. Kennedy directed the California Democrat to reach out to “confidential contacts” so Andropov could be alerted to the senator’s proposals.
“Tunney told his contacts that Kennedy was very troubled about the decline in U.S -Soviet relations under Reagan,” Kengor the Grove City professor said in an interview. “But Kennedy attributed this decline to Reagan, not to the Soviets. In one of the most striking parts of this letter, Kennedy is said to be very impressed with Andropov and other Soviet leaders.”

This week may prove to be the most important week for free speech the nation has ever seen. With a three-way assault being waged on our First Amendment rights, it is little surprise that the Obama administration would use the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Elections Commission to regulate free speech. After all, the Obama administration has made it clear that if you speak out against their agenda, you are an enemy of “progress”.
Let’s start with the FTC. This morning, the FTC will hold a public forum in Washington D.C. to discuss the findings of their commission that is tasked with discovering how to make the news reporting business profitable again. This is no short order, as dinosaur news organizations such as the New York Times have lost extreme amounts of readership. But as most outside of D.C. know all too well, bailouts don’t work and lead to companies that peddle government-influenced junk to appease their financiers.
Instead of allowing the market to work its magic, the FTC seems to believe that government intervention can remedy the decisions made by consumers who moved away from the news organizations of the past. In their opinion, they can “bail out” the nearly dead news agencies with ideas such as an Ipad tax to subsidize the nearly forgotten news agencies.
On Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission will hold an open meeting to discuss Net Neutrality. After the FCC was dealt a set-back in the recent Comcast Corp. v. FCC decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, the FCC will be considering other options to enforce regulations on Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) known as Net Neutrality.
The FCC, in its announcement of the meeting, mentions two possibilities for the regulations, while jokingly inserting what they refer to as a “third way” that would result in no regulations, leaving the Internet alone as it currently stands. The FCC is attempting to lump ISP’s under archaic regulations that were passed for the telecommunications industry decades earlier. If the FCC succeeds with this effort, they will be able to control your ISP. This will result in a regulated Internet, raising costs for consumers and regulation of the content that consumer’s access.
Include all of the above with legislation that is expected to hit the Senate floor later in the week. This next assault on free speech will be introduced by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
Schumer has proposed what he is calling the DISCLOSE Act, which would empower the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) to regulate political commentary. Curiously, Labor Unions and traditional news outlets are exempted from this legislation. Which leads one to wonder what the purpose of the bill actually is? Well, according to the AFL-CIO’s Josh Goldstein, who supports the legislation “… the final bill should treat corporations different than Democratic organizations such as unions.”
Taken together, these are flagrant assaults on free speech and press.
Government officials in Washington, D.C. want the public to believe that they can fix the traditional news media organizations that are failing with the flick of a magic wand. One has to wonder if their true objective is to create a national state-run media. These same Obama officials would have the power to compete unfairly with media outlets with which they disagree.
A bailout of news organizations will prove to be far more dangerous than anyone can even comprehend. If any news media organization is bailed out, the independence that a credible news organization should have from its stories to provide honest journalism will be lost. News organizations that are the recipients of a “bailout” will be in a tough spot when covering anything that casts the government or a particularly supportive politician in an unfavorable light. The “bailout” cash will have strings attached that will further discredit and ruin news organizations that are already zombies.
By forcing bloggers to disclose their connections with political operations, the Obama administration and Congress are making a blatant move to keep an eye on and potentially coerce the very people that their newspaper/national media investments are in direct competition with.
The administration has proven where it stands on this matter. When it comes to free speech, only those that agree with their agenda should be permitted to freely exercise freedom of speech guaranteed to all under the First Amendment. The administration has shown all Americans that they will go to any length to expand their regulatory powers to ban speech that they deem as inappropriate while protecting their supporters and allied organizations.

“I’m really freaked out right now,” the president will reportedly state from behind his desk. “It’s a gusher, and there’s not a thing I can do about it. I feel like a failure. In the latest debate about Matt Drudge, Mark Halperin of Time magazine suggests that Drudge appeals to racism among a portion of his readers. I often agree with Halperin, but he misses the point.
The shoulder knots as insignia of rank for sergeants and corporals with the addition of the plume for sergeants continued in effect until 1833. In that year, the symbol of noncommissioned rank on the dress uniform was displayed by four buttons for the sergeant major and quartermaster sergeant, three buttons for other sergeants and two buttons for corporals and privates. In addition, worsted yellowfringes on their shoulder wings, which were, in effect, modified epaulettes, were prescribed for all noncommissioned officers. The year 1833 marked the debut of the chevron on the enlisted Marine uniform. This familiar symbol of noncommissioned rank originally appeared in the Marine Corps in the form of “angles” worn point -down on the lower coat sleeves of first and second lieutenants. The chevron was dropped from thw subaltern’s uniform in 1833 and taken up on the enlisted as a symbol of length of service, one chevron worn point-up above the elbow for each four year’s service. The equally familiar “hash-mark,” which in later years was to be used as the service stripe in the Marine Corps, also made its first appearance on the enlisted uniform in 1833, but, ironically as an insignia of rank on the fatigue uniform — sergeants and corporals wore two stripes and one stripe respectively below the elbow.
The designations prevailed until 1859. The uniform regulations issued in that year are of great historical significance with regard to noncommissioned rank symbols, since they set the pattern which has generally prevailed until the present. In 1859, variations of the “point-up” yellow lace chevron, 1/2 inch wide, extending from seam to seam on the sleeve, were established as the mark of the noncommissioned officer. For the sergeant major, there were three chevrons and three arcs on a scarlet ground; for the quartermaster sergeant, three chevrons and three bars on a scarlet ground; for the drum major, three chevrons and three bars on a scarlet round with a five-pointed star in the center; for the first sergeant, a detached lozenge in the angle of three chevrons; for other sergeants, three chevrons, and for the corporal, two chevrons, all edged in red.
Except for the insertion of new ranks and the intrpduction of field service insignia, the regulations of 1859 remained virtually unchanged until World War I and the adoption of the smaller chevron. The first mention of field service insignia on Marine uniforms occurred in the regulations of 1900, although these insignia had been used by Marines in the field during the Spanish war. In their earliest form these service insignia consisted of the regulation chevrons in gray linen braid worn on “summer undress and campaign coats.

Government Looks to ‘Reinvent Journalism’

Before he was an Academy Award and Noel Prize winner, Vice President Al Gore headed a commission charged with formulating a strategy for “reinventing government.” Today, in an American economy featuring government bailouts of large financial firms and public ownership of General Motors, government is looking at “reinventing journalism.”
As newspapers continue to lose circulation and revenue and daily newspapers go out of business or get swallowed up by large newspaper chains, the Federal Trade Commission has been looking at ways to save journalism as we have known it. The FTC has been gathering and analyzing suggestions in a series of public forums, the last of which will be held in Washington on Tuesday. The suggestions in a draft report released last month included tax exemptions for news organizations, loosening antitrust statutes, imposing a tax on iPads and other electronic devices, increasing funding for public broadcasting, and creating a program like AmeriCorps to pay young journalists. The commission is scheduled to release a final report late this year.
None of the suggestions thus far have been endorsed by the FTC, and some have received a less-than-enthusiastic response from Chairman Jon Leibowitz. The commission has “a very strong allergy” toward antitrust exemptions, Leibowitz said at a Senate hearing last month, and he considers a journalism tax “a terrible idea.” The commission’s director of the office of policy and planning, which oversees the study, said specific commendations could be premature, given the current state of flux in the news industry.
Do We Really Own Property or Just Rent it From the Government?

Property rights are guaranteed in both the U.S. and state of Michigan constitutions. Most rights of a free people emanate from private property rights. Our founders came to America to escape the tyranny and feudalism in Europe – they recognized that a people could not be free without constitutional guarantees protecting private property. Unfortunately private property rights in the U.S have been steadily eroding during the last century. The loss of private property rights has been incremental but continual. Many property owners are astonished to discover how few rights they have left when they attempt to develop their land.
Taxation and regulation are the two main culprits in the loss of property rights. Property taxes in Michigan, even after the passage of Proposal A, remain a burden for many homeowners. Property owners in the state work hard and save for many years to pay off their mortgage, only to discover that they still have to pay high tax bills just to keep their house. A strong case can be made that property owners do not own their property but instead rent it from the government.
Arguably, property taxes are the most destructive type of tax to freedom: Income taxes are mostly based on work activity and sales taxes are tied to discretionary purchases, but property taxes are levied based only on ownership and never go away.
And after the direct taxes, property owners are subjected to federal, state, and local government regulations…
Senate Considers Making the President King of Cyberspace

The Internet is a wonderful invention that has allowed for the dissemination of a wide variety of ideas. Not surprisingly, politicians, never ones to brook dissent cheerfully, are not terribly fond of it. In 1998, then-First Lady Hillary Clinton said, “We’re all going to have to rethink how we deal with the Internet. As exciting as these new developments are, there are a number of serious issues without any kind of editing function or gatekeeping function.”
Recently President Obama lamented the fact that the smorgasbord of news sources now available to Americans can “reinforce and even deepen the political divides in this country” because people can choose only to listen to those with whom they agree; he was particularly concerned with rhetoric that speaks of “our government” as “some menacing, threatening foreign entity.”
The only question for the politicians, then, is how to implement a “gatekeeping function” without running afoul of Americans’ natural preference for freedom of speech and of the press.
The Federal Trade Commission is proposing government licensing of news organizations, accompanied by taxes on other websites that link to these government-approved sources and taxes on electronic news-reading devices to prop up dying government-approved newspapers.
The U.S. Senate, for the third time in the last year, is attempting to go even further, putting forth legislation that would, according to CNET News, “grant the president far-reaching emergency powers to seize control of or even shut down portions of the Internet.” The 197-page bill, called the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act (PCNAA), was announced on June10 by Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.). (The previous two attempts were draft proposals to do substantially the same thing as PCNAA.)
Under PCNAA, the President may unilaterally “issue a declaration of national cyber emergency to covered critical infrastructure.” Once the declaration has been issued, says CNET, “companies such as broadband providers, search engines, or software firms that the government selects ‘shall immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed’ by the Department of Homeland Security. Anyone failing to comply would be fined.” Furthermore, this also applies to “any company on a list created by Homeland Security that also ‘relies on’ the Internet, the telephone system, or any other component of the U.S. ‘information infrastructure,’” according to CNET. These entities will come under the command of a new bureaucracy, the National Center for Cybersecurity and Communications (NCCC), housed within Homeland Security.
Edgar J. Steele, 64, was charged Friday – the same day the women were to be killed in a car crash meant to look like an accident, according to a probable-cause affidavit.
A confidential witness occasionally employed by Steele met with the FBI Wednesday and told agents Steele would pay him to murder the women.
The witness said Steele had discussed a list of people he wanted dead, including his wife and her mother, six months earlier. The witness agreed to the plot and accepted travel money, court documents say.

Petrified that a couple of college kids with a flip camera can change the course of a state election, the corporate media and the neo-lib establishment has gone into overdrive in an attempt to spin the Bob Etheridge assault controversy, with some even trying to turn reality on its head in claiming Etheridge was the one being assaulted.
Despite the fact that Etheridge’s shameful reaction to merely being asked, “Do you fully support the Obama agenda?” by a couple of unknown college kids has enraged Internet viewers across the board, the corporate clowns at MSNBC and the rest of the libtard apologists immediately went to work in a lame effort to absolve Etheridge of blame, after being ordered to do so by talking points issued by a Democratic Party official.
The video shows the Congressman grabbing a young man by the arm, swatting away the camera and then grabbing him round the neck as he monotonously repeats the words, “Who are you,” in a stupefied and drunken drawl.
Despite the fact that Etheridge was forced to issue an apology for the incident, the Democrats sent out an official list of talking points to their media whores encouraging them to attack the source of the video and question its credibility, which is exactly what then happened.

Rick Barber — a Tea Party Republican competing in a congressional run-off down in Alabama — is airing the first TV ad this reporter can remember that advocates taking up arms against the United States.
Seriously.
In the ad (below), Barber has a discussion with men dressed up as America’s founding fathers. “I would impeach him,” Barber says at the beginning, obviously a reference to impeaching President Obama.
Barber continues, “Today we have an Internal Revenue Service that enforces what they call a ‘progressive’ income tax… Now this same IRS is going to force us to buy health insurance, cram it down our throats or else. Now I took an oath to defend that [the U.S. Constitution] with my life, and I can’t stand by while these evils are perpetrated. You, gentleman, revolted over a tea tax! A tea tax! Now look at us. Are you with me?”
One of the men dressed like a U.S. founding father — George Washington? — replies, “Gather your armies.” And to drive home the point, there are clear images of pistols in the ad.

An Egyptian foreign service official’s comment about President Obama is turning into a sensation among bloggers for its claim that the American leader claims to be Muslim.
Obama’s religiosity has been the subject of discussion since before he was elected and his Chicago-area pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, delivered a “God d— America” sermon that was caught on video.
Obama later claimed to be a Muslim in a television interview where the interviewer corrected his “misstatement” and he has referenced the Muslim heritage in America’s past several times.
Now the heat on the issue is being turned up because of a weeks-old report in Israel Today.
In the report, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit was quoted as saying during an appearance on Nile TV that, “The American president told me in confidence that he is a Muslim.”
The White House remained silent on the comment, declining to respond to a WND request for comment.
But blogger Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs wrote, “This is akin to an SS officer getting elected president during WW II. Every country in the free world must be cognizant of such a catastrophic sea change in the leadership of the free world (as witnessed by events over the past year). This changes everything. He took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and yet he has gone around the world promoting Islam, the Shariah (Islamic law).”
She suggested that the exchange could have happened early in 2010 when Gheit was in Washington, D.C., to address “Mideast peace talks.”

The phrase, “… and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution” was purposely omitted. Other than that, the two documents were identical … even to the misspelling of the word “through” in the second line of the certifications.
This tragic anomaly of American political history was first reported by writer J.B. Williams in a Sept. 10, 2009 article, titled, “The Theory is Now a Conspiracy and Facts Don’t Lie.” Immediately upon publication of Williams’ article, Obama doubters across the country began contacting their state election boards, requesting copies of the Democrat and Republican Party candidate certifications, and the full scale of the Democrats’ deception was uncovered.
So, why would the Democrats eliminate the language certifying that Obama and Biden were both eligible to serve “under provisions of the U.S. Constitution”? Is it not reasonable to assume that they knew when they nominated him that Barack Obama was ineligible to serve by virtue of the fact that he is not a “natural born” U.S. citizen?
So the question arises: What did Nancy Pelosi know, and when did she know it? And is it Pelosi’s certification of Obama’s eligibility that the state of Hawaii now relies upon in their refusal to disclose the details of his long-form birth certificate?

It is true that liberalism is cruel, corrupt, wasteful, and unjust. But one should never forget its delusion. The delusion is a simple one. It is a belief that government can be made rational and efficient. This delusion leads our liberal friends into disaster after disaster.
Liberals were shocked that President Bush failed to get everyone tucked up in bed in a couple of days after Hurricane Katrina. They knew that a rational and efficient government, run by people like them who believed in government, could do better.
Now President Obama is busy proving them wrong.
Unfortunately, conservatives aren’t helping. In pointing out the serious lapses in the president’s leadership qualities, we conservatives are missing the point. We are encouraging liberals in their delusion. Instead, we should remind everyone that of course a bunch of corporate bureaucrats, combined with a bunch of government bureaucrats, are going to be a bit off the mark.
A bit of presidential leadership might have made a difference, we could have said, but not much. The president brings the talents and experience of twenty years in left-wing organizing to the presidency. In that school, the attitude, the gesture, is all-important. So obviously he’s not going to be much help in a crisis.
But leader or no leader, it takes time to plug a hole — especially a hole under five thousand feet of water.

Pasquarosa Jr. addressed the crowd, comparing the volunteer enlistees to a sheepdog standing between the flock and a wolf, Verani and Koscher stood on the bleachers and held an “end war” sign while everyone else sat. It seems that in a season of rebellion against the ruling class, the rebellion is spilling over into a general rebellion against the foot soldiers of the ruling class.
A healthy development. James Kinney of West Barnstable, who knows Verani and wrote a letter to the editor of the Cape Cod Times in her support, defended the teachers.
“I think that it’s important to show dissent,” he said. “I think that’s the highest form of patriotism.” Kinney may want to consider that dissenting against dissenters is an even higher form of patriotism.

When slavery is implemented by force, it is certainly a despicable institution. But is it any less despicable when the slaves are there by choice?
The interesting point about slavery is that whether it’s forced or voluntary, the master is responsible for the slaves. The master feeds, clothes, and cares for his slaves, some masters better than others. But masters also manipulate their slaves. Eventually, all slaves start to notice the dichotomy between their lives and the lives of their masters.
There is an urban legend of a slave owner named Willie Lynch who recognized that slaves needed to be controlled. In a purported speech he gave to slave owners in 1712, he laid out a strategy that he said would keep slaves (blacks) in check for three hundred years. This strategy of control replaced hanging rebellious slaves with using fear, distrust, and envy. Lynch supposedly said, “[D]istrust is stronger than trust and envy is stronger than adulation, respect, or admiration.”

HELSINKI, Finland, June 15 (UPI) — Military personnel sent to fight a war shouldn’t have to wonder if the U.S. Constitution they swear an oath to defend is being systematically undermined at home. Neither should they fear that they might be politically abandoned on the field of battle.
In that respect, certain political and cultural elites in the United States, either intentionally or not, may have spawned their own domestic axis of evil.
Far too many in Washington appear to be, not only dangerously out-of-touch with the sentiments and values of the American people but also laughably incompetent in accomplishing anything beyond rhetoric and self-aggrandizement.
Much of our current leadership seem less committed to addressing critical national security issues than pursuing political agendas dedicated solely to the perpetuation of personal power and privilege.
They persist despite the knowledge that their inaction may ultimately weaken the country. It is a degree of selfishness that defies description.
In recent years, we have witnessed the evolution of a biased and partisan national media, which, by selective reporting and “editorializing” the news, they misinform and unnecessarily polarize the electorate.
Tenured radicals dominate our colleges and universities. They have largely eviscerated a balanced educational system in favor of programs promoting political indoctrination, controlled speech and social engineering.
Lawyer and conservative author, Andrew C. McCarthy, has written that Islamic extremists and the radical left “are in essential harmony when it comes to their vision of authoritarian government and their perception of the immediate obstacle to their designs: American constitutional democracy.”
McCarthy suggests that this unholy alliance represents, not only a threat from without, but a fifth column, which is using our own democratic institutions to destabilize our republic and destroy our liberties from within.
Whatever one might think of Israel, it remains a democratic outpost, now nearly surrounded by dictatorships and Islamic fanatics. The Holocaust was terrible enough but the destruction of Israel by its foes in the Middle East will be a far greater tragedy than the loss of life alone. It will represent a major milestone in the abandonment of the Western democratic civilization.
Does any thoughtful person seriously believe that the assault on the West will end if Israel disappears? It will not. It will only encourage the enemies of democracy and lead to further aggression.
Advancement of American interests in Southwest Asia and the Middle East cannot be achieved without effectively confronting Iran. This rogue nation continues to support terrorists and radical Islamic insurgents causing numerous deaths among innocent Muslim civilians as well as the governmental forces they target.
In an age of nuclear weaponry, simultaneously placating the current fanatical Iranian regime and punishing Israel is a policy that will promote, rather than avoid, an international catastrophe. Appeasement of the aggressors has failed and time is running out. If nothing else, don’t do it for Israel, let us do it for ourselves.
In the absence of Iran changing course, civilized nations must make it their declared policy to assist the Iranian opposition to free themselves from their oppressive and fanatical dictatorship. Regime change in Iran could tip the balance away from terrorism and anti-democratic forces and provide an impetus toward peaceful resolution of the conflicts in Southwest Asia and the Middle East.
Your sons and daughters in the military serve at great risk to defend our Constitution, our freedom and our way of life. The heroes of our current conflict have joined the ranks of countless other Americans throughout our history, who have stood their ground against tyranny.
The enemies of democracy can only win through our own ambivalence and complacency. In fact, they are counting on it.
I think that they are making a fatal mistake.

The BP oil disaster was custom-made for The Obama. It’s a disaster that not only destroys jobs and the lives of the affected humans but, is killing off all wildlife it touches. The effective oil-skimmer systems utilized by the Saudis and others would work to greatly minimize the damage being caused to the US Gulf Coast. But, The Obama continues to drag his heels as States and lives are destroyed. Note: Obama, of course, remains aloof and untouched and continues to refuse all offers of help–only those that truly WILL help–as he smilingly watches and fiddles like Nero while the destruction and death continue. In fact, it is now apparent that destruction and death follow virtually all of Obama’s actions. Interesting, isn’t it?
Pretending that he is constrained by the “Jones Act,” Obama is doing the bare minimum so that destruction will be at an all-time maximum–in order to shove his Cap & Trade bill (which will complete our destruction) down our throats. Note: The Jones Act has been waived by real US presidents, in the past. And while We-the-People are mesmerized by this purely wicked occurrence, he and his Marxist-Maoist Congressional Democrats keep on pushing feverishly to steal even more assets and instill even more power and control from and over us.
The latest Obama and Democrat power grabs include but, are not limited to, assigning the EPA power to regulate carbon emissions (in case the dictator’s Cap & Trade doesn’t clear the US Senate), control over all of the US’ financial institutions (a bill in which control over US citizens’ bank accounts is also included), control over all students applying for educational aid (who will get financial aid who will not and what they will be taught), of course ObamaCare (passed against the will of a vast majority of the American people), “stimulus” bills that have destroyed middle-class jobs and stimulated ONLY the wealthy ruling elite and political class etc. etc. etc.
…Now, however, we have the increasingly insane and unquenchably greedy Marxist Democrat Congress pushing for a bill that will–literally–destroy the US Military. If I had my druthers, the never-ending conflict between Israel and Palestine would be but a small news brief in American newspapers. But since we police the world, we must always monitor our global police scanner, where not only Israel’s conflicts, but those of North and South Korea, the nation of Georgia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, and pretty much everywhere else is the United States’ business because we insist on making it so.
What many Americans bizarrely consider national “defense” is actually an aggressive and enduring offense, and yet we are always surprised when other nations get offended.
Last week, Israeli soldiers raided a Turkish flotilla seeking to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza. From Israel’s perspective, the flotilla illegally broke a blockade. When the Israeli soldiers boarded the flotilla, they were attacked by those on board, something the flotilla passengers called self-defense and Israel deemed reason enough to open fire. The end result: nine passengers dead, many soldiers wounded, 700 activists arrested or “kidnapped” (depending on your perspective), an irate Turkey, and an indignant Israel. Many nations have condemned Israel for these actions. They have also condemned the U.S. for not sufficiently condemning Israel. Even though Washington, D.C. is more than 5,000 miles from Tel Aviv, somehow Israel’s controversies always automatically become ours. Why?
This basic question is not simply so-called “isolationist” naiveté, something critics would no doubt charge. It’s quite the opposite: It is human nature to have a blindness toward the big questions because we get so caught up in the little ones. The average idiot couple arguing on Maury gets so caught up in their own he-said-she-said, white-trash narrative they never stop to consider whether there’s any real value to their obviously irreparably damaged relationship.
The same goes for America’s relationship with not only Israel, but much of the globe, where our foreign policy is eternally bogged down by the same sort of well-meaning but ultimately idealistic minutia. According to foreign affairs analyst Andrew J. Bacevich, “The bedrock assumption to which all of official Washington adheres, liberal Democrats no less than conservative Republicans, is that the United States itself constitutes the axis around which history turns. We define the future. Our actions determine its course. The world needs, expects, and yearns for America to lead, thereby ensuring the ultimate triumph of liberty.”
Bacevich gives a fairly accurate description of America’s view of itself and its place on the world stage and also how the U.S. insists only it can play the lead role. Bacevich adds, “For the United States to shrink from its responsibility to lead is, at the very least, to put at risk the precarious stability to which humanity clings and in all likelihood would open the door to unspeakable catastrophe. Alternatives to American leadership simply do not exist.”
When there was a skirmish between Russia and Georgia in 2008, then presidential candidate John McCain exclaimed, “We are all Georgians now.” No, we’re not. I don’t know a single American who thinks that.
The Korean War ended a half century ago, and yet we still have nearly 40,000 troops stationed there, something that takes on a special significance given the recent actions by North Korea. Defenders of the foreign policy status quo maintain that North Korea’s aggression only underscores the need for a U.S. presence there. Really? For how much longer? Another 50 years? Afghanistan is now the longest war in American history. When the shooting finally stops — a highly improbable scenario — how long will American troops remain? Fifty years? How long will they be in Iraq? During the 2008 presidential campaign, McCain famously said troops could be in Iraq for up to “a hundred years.”
Consider this: Israel’s recent attack or interception was on a Turkish ship in international waters. Turkey is part of NATO; Israel isn’t. According to that charter, the U.S. must now go to war with Israel. No one is suggesting any such insanity, but it is worth noting that anyone who suggests NATO is a Cold War relic that should be scrapped is ridiculed or marginalized for making such a suggestion. America simply has to be everywhere and at all times.

HOUSTON, 6/14/10 — Today is Flag Day, but a substantial part of the Internet community is anxious that it is also a “False Flag Day,” marking the beginning of “treason season” for 2010. Their fears are driven by their knowledge that false flag attacks, from the U.S. 9/11 to the U.K. 7/7, coincided with military/police drills that allowed traitors in each country to preposition and prepare their operations. Houston is the home of the now-notorious BP oil company, and its southern petro-suburb, Texas City is home to BP’s largest American refinery, the nation’s most dangerous industrial site in the last decade.
In the aftermath of the April 20 explosion of the BP Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico, Houston has become the command post of a region-wide government operation. With over 200 coordinators now operating in the Bayou City, and perhaps 10,000 military and police along the Gulf Coast following their orders, it’s quite possible that the oil spill has been used as a pretext to prepare the area for a false flag and ensuing imposition of martial law:

Robin of Berkeley has provided a great summary of psychological speculation to answer a question now in the minds of some Americans: “What’s wrong with Obama?”
I suppose a few among us are still asking this question, as though the answer will undo a whit of the damage done. As a full-time mom, with 36 years of experience under my belt and a couple of model American adults now on my resume, I’ve stopped asking that question, however. In fact, from a mom’s point of view, I’m much more prone, at this point, to be asking, “Should we care what’s wrong with Obama?”
From the Dr. Mom perspective, as opposed to the therapist’s paradigm, it’s not hard to surmise that the boy, Barry Obama, was victimized by Murphy’s Law of Character Development. Every single thing that could go wrong in the development of strong and upright character quite obviously did go wrong in Obama’s childhood. To which, I might add, so what? He’s a grown-up now. He ain’t twelve anymore. And he has more than three hundred million real people to whom he owes a good day’s work for a good day’s pay.
We did not go out and recruit Barack Obama to be our president. We did not find him by searching the country over for the most qualified man for this job. No, it was Barack Obama, owing to a character flaw the size of California — a blaring lack of humility — who put up his own name in contention for the presidency, when he had never held an executive position (not even a paper route, for crying out loud!) of any kind whatsoever, in the public or private sector. In fact, as I’ve said before, Barack Obama had a resume that would fit handily upon the back of a postage stamp, and it was pure, unbridled arrogance that prompted his candidacy. Sure, there were lots of giddy sycophants who egged him on, but at the end of the day, Barack Obama should have known better, should have given far more weight to the responsibility he was assuming. And the fact that he didn’t know any better is owing to his own lack of character, which he has had every possible opportunity to develop in the years since he left home.
It is Barack Obama, not his momma or his daddy or his grand-momma or his grand-daddy, who has to answer for the job he is doing now that he has secured the position he sought.
While it is virtually impossible for anyone — other than God — to answer the question, “What’s wrong with Obama?”, it is completely within the realm of human observance to see that no matter where he came from or what kind of parents he had, Barack Obama’s character is nothing short of reprehensible.
Where he ought to be hardworking and industrious to the nth degree, he shows himself to be lazy. When he ought to be knuckling under, hard at work at his desk, hammering out decent solutions to the vast array of problems before him, he is partying hardy, having a merry ole time, trotting around the globe, playing golf, shooting backyard hoops, and opining on the latest controversial umpire’s call in a baseball game. When it comes to actual governance, the only word this president knows is “delegate.” When he ought to be consumed with fixing a national disaster in federal waters, which occurred in a federally regulated industry, the best he can come up with to even feign an I-do-really-give-a-darn work ethic is an emotionally contrived use of the A-word.
Oh, please. This is the kind of lazy, no-account attitude demonstrated by every panhandling bum on any street corner. His GQ dress code notwithstanding, Barack Obama has the work ethic of the welfare moms for whom he has shown his only real empathy to date. In a president, this character deficit is not only pitiful, but it is also downright despicable.

Claiming the “authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America,” President Obama has truly gone off the deep end this time in his most atrocious attempt to date to control every aspect of Americans’ lives.

The state and local grants in Porkulus acted as a federal bailout package for state bureaucrats, who otherwise may have lost their jobs as state and local governments cut spending in order to balance budgets. The White House sold this as rescues of teachers and first responders, but as a series of local newspapers reported, those jobs were never in jeopardy. The money that got added to those budget items got transferred elsewhere to save less politically sensitive bureaucrats elsewhere, while the Obama administration claimed to have saved millions of jobs through these bailout transfers.
Of course, that only works for a single budget year, and the same structural cost issues that existed over the last year continue today, thanks to the federal bailout. What’s the Obama administration answer for that? Another bailout:
President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid “massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters” and to support the still-fragile economic recovery.
In a letter to congressional leaders, Obama defended last year’s huge economic stimulus package, saying it helped break the economy’s free fall, but argued that more spending is urgent and unavoidable. “We must take these emergency measures,” he wrote in an appeal aimed primarily at members of his own party. …
With the letter, however, Obama makes a direct and unequivocal case for additional “targeted investments,” including state aid and several less-expensive initiatives aimed at assisting small businesses. He specifically calls for passage of the measure that is before the Senate, which would extend unemployment benefits and offer states additional aid, increasing deficits by nearly $80 billion over the next decade.
Obama asks lawmakers to be patient on the deficit, noting that a special commission is at work on a comprehensive deficit-reduction plan.
That’s a laugh. Obama wants people to believe he’s serious about deficit reform, and so he’s proposing making the deficit worse until someone forces him to stop spending. It’s the action of an addict. I can stop spending any time I want. I just don’t want to do it right now.
Besides, the jobs targeted by these bloc-grant bailouts are the exact same ones claimed by the White House last year. When do people in Minnesota get to stop bailing out California bureaucrats? Shouldn’t the states themselves start working on making rational judgments about the size and sustainability of their own governments? If it takes Minnesota money to float California, and Texas money to float Minnesota, then there is no accountability to the citizens of a state at all. It’s a shell game and nothing more.
And this is all money just going down a rathole anyway. The bailout last year didn’t solve the problem, but it did add over a hundred billion dollars to the national debt. Obama now proposes to send $50 billion more in imaginary money after bad imaginary money to, once again, avoid tough economic choices by kicking the can down the road at the expense of future generations. It’s becoming the theme of his presidency, which is profligate irresponsibility combined with an utter lack of strategic comprehensive growth policies.
John Hinderaker agrees, and points out the only real beneficiary of this bailout:
The original “stimulus” bill was all about keeping state and local government spending, and the salaries it supports, sky-high. It doesn’t appear that President Obama has a game plan to help the economy, other than continuing to feed the already-bloated public sector. This is consistent with his apparently complete ignorance of basic principles of economics. Democrats in Congress, however, can see the writing on the wall. It will be interesting to see whether they are willing to brave voter wrath by stimulating the public sector still further.
MSNBC Works with Alex Jones to Discredit Tea Party Movement

Radio host Alex Jones, who believes that 9/11 was a U.S. government plot and "inside job" conspiracy, is featured in Chris Matthews’ Wednesday documentary on MSNBC as a leader of the "New Right" and the Tea Party movement. But Jones has absolutely nothing to do with the conservative or Tea Party movements.
In the advance promotional advertisements for the program, Jones is shown saying that the U.S. has entered the phase of "deep tyranny." The promos make Jones appear to be the undisputed leader of the "New Right" and the Tea Party movement.
But in fact, a video shows Jones disrupting a Tea Party rally in Texas by shouting at organizers and speakers with a bullhorn. This performance woke up many Tea Party members to the real Jones agenda and he has been anathema to them ever since.
"HARDBALL Looks at Conservative Movement," the MSNBC website says, referring to the Chris Matthews program which airs at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday.

Am I the only one who wonders what could possibly be the agenda of any politician who would thwart our drive toward energy independence? Continuing to lock up America’s domestic energy reserves, including the energy-rich Last Frontier of Alaska, only equips dangerous foreign regimes as they fund terrorist organizations to harm us and our allies. I’m going to keep speaking and writing about this in the simplest of terms until someone can provide a simple answer as to why liberal Democrats don’t understand that we have safe, warehoused onshore and shallow water reserves waiting for permission to be extracted. They either choose not to understand the geology, science, and technology behind an “all-of-the-above” approach to energy security, or they understand it, yet for whatever frightening reason choose to be lap dogs to Chavez and Ahmadinejad.
Shoot, I must have lived such a doggoned sheltered life as a normal, independent American up there in the Last Frontier, schooled with only public education and a lowly state university degree, because obviously I haven’t learned enough to dismiss common sense (a prerequisite for power in Washington these days). Help me out, friends! Help someone like me – and the majority of Americans – understand why we would ever kowtow and bow to foreign regimes that hate us, instead of doing all we can to starve the beast of terrorism in our plight for security, prosperity, and peace.
There’s an obvious common sense answer to our need for security and energy independence, but don’t hold your breath waiting for common sense to surface in Washington – it’s an endangered species there. Obviously we must responsibly develop our God-given domestic oil and gas reserves right here, right now; we must conserve energy; and we must develop renewables that are based on sound science, not snake oil and favors for political pals.

Webb Files Bill To Ensure Families Can Fly Military Service Flags

A seasoned combat veteran is joining the fight against neighborhood associations that try to block families from flying Blue Star or Gold Star service flags when relatives are serving in the armed forces during times of conflict.
U.S. Sen. Jim Webb introduced a bill this week that would prohibit any condominium, housing cooperative or residential association from stopping the flying of the special flags, which is authorized by the Department of Defense. Webb’s bill is similar to a House bill – the Blue Star/Gold Star Act of 2010 – that passed that chamber last month without objection.
The House bill was sparked by an incident last year in Ohio in which Marlene Gano was asked by her condo association to take down a Blue Star flag. She displayed it in her window to honor her son who served in Iraq in 1991 and 2003. He was wounded twice.
A Blue Star flag is flown when a family member is serving in the military. A Gold Star signifies that a family member was killed in combat.
"This legislation creates reasonable legal protections to ensure military families can honor their loved ones’ service no matter where they live," said Webb, a decorated Marine who was wounded in the Vietnam War.

An alleged Georgia militiaman arrested on federal charges in what authorities describe as a scheme to seize the Monroe County courthouse and make a series of citizen’s arrests for treason has been freed pending trial.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Guyton on Friday ruled that Darren Wesley Huff, 40, of Dallas, Ga., can remain free but under a number of restrictions.
Huff must possess no firearms, wear an electronic monitoring device, have no contact with any potential witnesses or co-defendants, and adhere to several other conditions. The judge set trial for Aug. 2 and scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Neither Barack Hussein Obama nor anyone else has shown that the man meets that requirement (setting aside the other two in the Article). He has never shown himself to be eligible to hold the office he now occupies. The man is putatively your Commander-in-Chief and certainly, that means if he is not legally that, then your actions in helping to shield him grossly violate the black letter law of our country, as does his promulgation of orders, funding, etc. for all of the military – you included. His waging of war (whether declared or undeclared) is not valid if he is not legally eligible to hold the office, and much of that sort of reasoning, along with the pretense of underlings such as you in carrying out all orders from on high without question, is what the Nuremberg Trials were all about after World War II. Perhaps you are too young to remember those, but I am not.
