Ray Bradbury’s call for revolution still stirring things up at 90!
“Colored people don’t like ‘Little Black Sambo.’ Burn it. White people don’t feel good about ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin.’ Burn it. Someone’s written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book. Serenity, Montag. Peace, Montag. Take your fight outside.
Better yet, into the incinerator. Funerals are unhappy and pagan? Eliminate them, too. Five minutes after a person is dead he’s on his way to the Big Flue, the Incinerators serviced by helicopters all over the country. Ten minutes after death a man’s a speck of black dust. Let’s not quibble over individuals with memoriams. Forget them. Burn all, burn everything. Fire is bright and fire is clean.
“Earlier this week, Ray Bradbury – now 90 – said, “I think our country is in need of a revolution.”
As you can imagine, his comments caused quite a stir. He didn’t stop at calls to revolution, either.
He went on to say, “There’s too much government today. We’ve got to remember the government should be by the people, of the people and for the people.”
He also complained that we have “too many cell phones” and “too many Internets.” We need to rid ourselves of some of these machines, he declared.

U.S. Supreme Court Clerk: Letters to Justices have been “thrown away” | The Post & Email
“SO AS NOT TO INFLUENCE THE COURT”
August 19, 2010
Dear Editor:
U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was appointed by President Ronald Reagan in 1986. He was the valedictorian of his graduating class from Georgetown University. The following letter was sent to Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia on July 8, 2010.
Although I had written my Congressional delegation, the Republican so called “leadership” and every member of the Supreme Court over the last two years concerning Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro not being eligible for the Presidency of the United States, I had failed to get any satisfaction.
The person answering the phone at the Supreme Court actually told me that letters were thrown away so as not to “influence the Court”!
I thought this rather arrogant as they work for US. I learned, back when I studied Civics in high school some 65 years ago, that the Founding Fathers left the power with the People in this country, or at least they thought they had.

NULLIFY NOW!
In the face of the growing behemoth known as the American federal government, states and individual citizens are rediscovering the Tenth Amendment as a defense against tyrannical and unconstitutional measures taken by the fed.
Recalling the power assigned to the states by the Founding Fathers, the term “state nullification” has begun to creep back into the American vocabulary as a defense mechanism against this growing Leviathan, even featured as a topic of discussion on Judge Napolitano’s new show Freedom Watch, which aired on August 7 on the Fox Business Network.
In an effort to promote the concept of state nullification, the Tenth Amendment Center and WeRefuse.com have launched Nullify Now!, a speaking tour that has been dubbed “your ticket to freedom.”

Google Plans To Kill Web In Internet Takeover Agenda
Google Plans To Kill Web In Internet Takeover
Agendainfo-wars.org ^ | 8-19-10 | Paul Joseph WatsonPosted on Thursday, August 19, 2010 6:41:14 PM by Justaham
The net-neutrality ending deal with Verizon is just the beginning of Google’s plans to kill the open and free Internet as part of their takeover agenda to completely control the world wide web and force independent media websites, radio and TV shows out of existence for good.Google’s agreement with Verizon to speed certain Internet content to users opens the door to the complete sterilization of the world wide web as a force for political change. Under Google’s takeover plan, the Internet will closely resemble cable TV, independent voices will be silenced and the entire Internet will be bought up by transnational media giants.
People who want to run a simple blog will be priced out of existence, online TV and radio shows will cease to exist as the Internet is swallowed up by the corporate borg.True net neutrality means that independent news outlets who attract an audience by telling the truth can compete on an even keel with corporate giants like ABC, CBS and CNN.
The Google-Verizon pact will end that level playing field and in turn eliminate everything that is outside of the mainstream.“A non-neutral Internet means that companies like AT&T, Comcast, Verizon and Google can turn the Net into cable TV and pick winners and losers online,” writes Josh Silver.
“A problem just for Internet geeks? You wish. All video, radio, phone and other services will soon be delivered through an Internet connection.
Ending Net Neutrality would end the revolutionary potential that any website can act as a television or radio network. It would spell the end of our opportunity to wrest access and distribution of media content away from the handful of massive media corporations that currently control the television and radio dial.”

Peter Stark’s Terrifying Revelation
Democratic Congressman Pete Stark has become a YouTube sensation in past weeks. When confronted by tough questions from his constituents resorted to sarcasm and condescension. His pompous manner is utterly revolting to watch, but it was something he said at a Town Hall meeting in Wayward CA on 7/24/10 that was nothing short of frightening.
Mr. Stark was quoted as saying that “healthcare is now a right rather than a privilege” which prompted a woman at the meeting to bring up the following question. ‘If the government can force healthcare upon the masses, and make it compulsory for physicians to treat any and all patients, then what can’t they do?’
The woman goes so far as to say that it infringes upon the 13th amendment, which banned slavery, because the government is in essence enslaving the doctor to treat whomever they tell him to. She proceeds to ask “if this legislation healthcare is constitutional, then what limitations are there on the Federal Government’s ability to tell us how to run our private lives”?
One would expect Mr. Stark to dodge the question with some crafty politically correct answer. However, his response was quite the opposite. “Yes, the Federal Government can do most anything in this country”, was Mr. Stark’s reply.
This statement was met with a smattering of boos by those present and understandably so. But do people really understand how true Congressman Stark’s answer is turning out to be?
Forget healthcare for a minute, and let’s look at some other pieces of legislation that are flying a bit under the radar. The Obama administration is currently working on a piece of legislation to ban junk food in schools. The law would not only stop schools from serving certain foods at meals…

Ron Paul: Why didn’t the North just buy the South’s slaves & free them that way? | EUTimes.net
Most people consider Abe Lincoln to be one of our greatest presidents, if not the greatest president we’ve ever had.
Would you agree with that sentiment and why or why not?
No, I don’t think he was one of our greatest presidents. I mean, he was determined to fight a bloody civil war, which many have argued could have been avoided. For 1/100 the cost of the war, plus 600 thousand lives, enough money would have been available to buy up all the slaves and free them. So, I don’t see that is a good part of our history.
Besides, the Civil War was to prove that we had a very, very strong centralized federal government and that’s what it did. It rejected the notion that states were a sovereign nation.
The people who disagree want to turn around and say, “Oh, yes, those guys just wanted to protect slavery.” But that’s just a cop-out if you look at this whole idea of what happened in our country because Lincoln really believed in the centralized state.
He was a Hamiltonian type and objected to everything Jefferson wanted.
