If our own Administration will not stand up for the rights of its people, then this is what you get, uncontrolled acts of ignorance.

The purpose of the GSA is “to help manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies”Sept. 9, 2010 — Mr. Christopher Strunk had filed a FOIA request late in 2008 for the passport records of Stanley Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro.
When he was denied the records, he filed a request for a Writ of Mandamus with Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg asking for a “Temporary Restraining Order under 28 USC §1651 of the New York Electoral College pending issuance of an order by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia of records demanded of the U.S. Department of State under the Verified Complaint and Petition for Writ of Mandamus under F.O.I.A…”
Strunk later filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Washington, DC on January 5, 2009, which eventually yielded some of the records he had requested.
There is a 30-day appeal period for FOIA information recipients. Regarding appeals of FOIA decisions, the Department of Justice states:

The dictator, it seemed, read Goldberg’s Atlantic cover story about Iran and Israel, and requested that Goldberg travel to Cuba so he could talk about the issue with him.Of course, what Castro wanted to really accomplish was to use Goldberg as a conduit for his ideas — to let the world know his most recent thoughts and also to send a message to those considered his long-standing allies, Ahmadinejad in Iran and Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. What Castro told them is that a nuclear war between Iran and Israel must be averted and that Ahmadinejad should “stop slandering the Jews.”Was this Castro’s message to Jews on the eve of the Jewish New Year? BackgroundThe White Rose was a civilian resistance organization that actively opposed Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany during WWII. It was composed of students from the University of Munich and their philosophy professor, Kurt Huber. The group became known for an anonymous leaflet campaign, lasting from June 1942 until February 1943, calling for active resistance to the Third Reich.
Upwards of 9,000 copies of the White Rose leaflets were distributed across Germany leading to an investigation by the Gestapo. Six members of the group were arrested; endured show trials conducted by Nazi Judge Roland Freisler and were executed by decapitation in 1943.

I figured that as long as the country is focused on book burning, I would throw in my choice for bon fire fuel. Rules for Radicals is the book Zero considers holy and in the long run may be the one book that was the cause of more damage done to our Country, than the Koran ever could be.

Professor Marshall DeRosa said at a conference at Catholic University on September 5, 2010. “America has always been imperialist,” he alleged.“McKinley and the Spanish American War referenced back to Lincoln,” DeRosa said, and “Lincoln was revived during the New Deal to prop up programs.” DeRosa, who teaches at Florida Atlantic University, spoke at a conference staged by the National Humanities Institute, run by Joseph Baldacchino.

American Wake Up to Islam

The debate is as unexpected as it is extraordinary. One would have thought that the event to touch a nerve within the American body politic, making Islam a national issue, would be an act of terrorism. Or discovery that Islamists had penetrated U.S. security services. Or the dismaying results of survey research. Or an apologetic presidential speech.But no, something more symbolic roiled the body politic – the prospect of a mosque in close proximity to the World Trade Center‘s former location. What began as a local zoning matter morphed over the months into a national debate with potential foreign policy repercussions. Its symbolic quality fit a pattern established in other Western countries. Islamic coverings on females spurred repeated national debates in France from 1989 forward. The Swiss banned the building of minarets. The murder of Theo van Gogh profoundly affected the Netherlands, as did the publication of Muhammad cartoons in Denmark,.
Oddly, only after the Islamic center’s location had generated weeks of controversy did the issue of individuals, organizations, and funding behind the project finally come to the fore – although these obviously have more significance than does location.
Personally, I do not object to a truly moderate Muslim institution in proximity to Ground Zero; conversely, I object to an Islamist institution being constructed anywhere. Ironically, building the center in such close proximity to Ground Zero, given the intense emotions it aroused, will likely redound against the long-term interests of Muslims in the United States

INTERPOL issues global alert for increased terror threat if Koran is burned

Sheriffs in North Carolina want access to state computer records identifying anyone with prescriptions for powerful painkillers and other controlled substances.The state sheriff‘s association pushed the idea Tuesday, saying the move would help them make drug arrests and curb a growing problem of prescription drug abuse.
But patient advocates say opening up people’s medicine cabinets to law enforcement would deal a devastating blow to privacy rights.Allowing sheriffs’ offices and other law enforcement officials to use the state’s computerized list would vastly widen the circle of people with access to information on prescriptions written for millions of people. As it stands now, doctors and pharmacists are the main users.

I am dismayed at the lack of understanding of our Western Civilization and efforts to preserve it. It is under attack, being destroyed piecemeal and in detail by “boring Progressive termites” [as Kupelian refers to them]. There is overall wide apathy in society, and a failure to understand the difference between Conservative and Libertarian. There is also a failure to stand by one’s beliefs for fear of being called names like “bigot,” and “hater,” or worse. The name-callers confuse their emotionalism for true reason, intellect and morality.
Most of the present ignorance stems, in my opinion, from a hole in our formal education regarding the historical, philosophical, and religious underpinnings of Western Civilization. Indeed, many Progressives are hell-bent to bury Western Civilization and its foundations the same way the Scipio Africanus burned, buried, and salted Carthage.I regret that more than a few in fashionable society [young and old] chooses to treat me, or other like-thinkers, as they would the Taliban or some other anti-homosexual zealot. They do so because I oppose the destruction of marriage as a Godly covenant solely between one man and one woman for the purpose of family. But, I neither stone homosexuals [or other minorities] to death, nor do I cut off the noses and ears of the unfaithful. I treat women with respect as I do all men, homosexual or not. I have lost friends to AIDS, and I pray for those who struggle with their identity. I am simply opposed to this “red herring” proposal.
So why all the venom towards us Conservatives?
