Sadly, there are many different versions of Christianity in the world today, and each one claims to speak for God…most a figment of their imagination of Jesus.

Some laud him for being one of the few voices on television to criticize both Democrats and Republicans as being equally complicit in growing the size of government and pointing out that there is no significant difference between them. Others view him as a phony usurper of the freedom movement.This raises even more interesting questions than just about Beck himself: what makes a person a phony?

At what point can a person with formerly statist views be considered to have had an authentic change of heart?The funny thing is that those who think he is a true libertarian tend to watch him; those that think he is a fake do not. I was one of those who did not, and it caused a lot of debate with those who did. Why not watch him? He is interesting, he raises good questions, and so on.

I finally watched him last night as he discussed the book Nudge by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein. Thaler was my dissertation advisor a few years ago when I received my Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago. I read an early version of their book. I even provided an extra Simpsons reference for them.

I am mentioned in the acknowledgments. I have read every single post on the Nudge blog, sent them useful links, and commented on items. In short, I am intimately familiar with the themes and the content of Nudge.

Watching Beck, I discovered the truth about him: neither those who claim him as a libertarian nor those that denounce him as a phony are right.

Beck is not a libertarian; he is a deep-seated socialist.

But he is also not a phony; it is so deep-seated in him that he doesn’t even realize it.

Police officers, at the direction of an imam, remove six Muslim women from the Islamic Center. Their crime? Worshiping peacefully.

The Islamic Center, housed in a magnificent building in Washington, D.C., has been around for over a half-century, but it is seldom in the news. Unless you drive by (on Embassy Row) you would not know that it there. Because it is supposed to be a peaceful place of worship, we would not expect local police to enter.

Yet last March they did. Three D.C. Metropolitan police officers entered the center, at the direction of an imam, and removed six Muslim women. Their crime? They were worshiping peacefully in the main prayer hall after the imam announced that women were forbidden to enter that area.

What happened in Washington, D.C., should remind us of the peaceful sit-ins of the 1960s. The courts found that the police action removing people from private businesses violated the Equal Protection Clause.

In a series of cases the lower federal courts and the Supreme Court reversed convictions of black and white civil protestors who were convicted under state criminal trespass or disturbing the peace laws when they sat in the “white-only” section of various lunch counters and restaurants and refused to move after having been ordered to do so by the agent of the establishment.

Neither state nor federal laws at the time required the restaurants to serve blacks, but the courts found “state action” that violated Equal Protection. In Garner v. Louisiana (1961), for example, the Supreme Court reversed the convictions (under a state disturbing the peace statute) of those who had engaged in a sit-in, because the record was “totally devoid of evidentiary support” that petitioners caused any disturbance of the peace. They sat there quietly.

Peterson v. Greenville (1963) reversed the trespass conviction of blacks who had engaged in a lunch counter sit-in. The store manager asked the blacks to leave because integrated service was “contrary to local customs” and a local ordinance. The Supreme Court held that “these convictions cannot stand,” whether or not a local ordinance supported the store manager. In Lombard v. Louisiana (1963), decided the same day, the Court reversed the trespass convictions of three blacks and one white who had sat in a privately owned restaurant that served only whites. The case involved no statutes or ordinances, but the police did say that “no additional sit-in demonstrations … will be permitted.” Justice Douglas, concurring, argued that there was state action when the state judiciary “put criminal sanctions behind racial discrimination in public places.”

There are precious little differences between the sit-in cases of the 1960s and the Muslim sit-in cases. We knew, in the 1960s, that the Equal Protection Clause forbids discrimination based on color. We know now that the Equal Protection Clause forbids discrimination based on gender. We know that the lunch counters were open to anyone who wanted to eat, except blacks, or blacks had to sit at a special section. We know that the mosque is open to anyone who wants to worship God, except that women must sit at special places — sort of like “back of the bus.”

What we have witnessed is not a fight for religious freedom, that’s nonsense. Elvia Martinez-Montez always sensed there was something fishy about her father’s death. Sixty years and an exhumation later, she and her son are sure of it. And while they can’t name a suspect, they think it has something to do with a hidden cache of Nazi gold.

It helps that both of them happen to be paranormal investigators. They live in San Antonio but on a visit to the Rio Grande Valley, the two unveiled their theory Tuesday and shared a forensic examiner’s report on the dug-up remains of Adam G. Martinez.

He had returned from World War II with a spring in his step; he’d been part of Patton’s Third Army and found himself something of a war hero. He ran a bar-café and started up a taxi company, one of the first in the Valley. At 35, some six years after his return, he was prosperous enough to sport a new car — a 1950 Dodge sedan in a handsome shade of blue.

It was beside that car (or under it, depending on the news account) that his body was found on the morning of Dec. 18, 1950. That the car was unscathed seemed a little odd to Benito Garza, who was 17 when it happened and still lives in the home with the circular driveway where the car and body were found.

He offered a written statement to that effect a few weeks ago when the ghost hunters approached him. But it wasn’t just Garza.

“I was constantly being told that my father died under mysterious circumstances and that when I grew up I should look into it,” Martinez-Montez said.Now 64, she poked around in the 1980s but gave up after too many doors slammed in her face and she began to feel threatened.

A plastic bag of her father’s belongings discovered during a 2007 family reunion gave her a jump start. It contained war maps, marked up in her father’s distinctive handwriting.

The maps took on significance following a 2008 visit to her father’s grave. On a whim, her son Rocky Montez had set down a small audio recorder.

When he listened to it weeks later, he heard what ghost hunters call “electronic voice phenomenon.”

“Go back to the grave,” the voice said. “It’s in France, Mitz-Metz. Gold in it.”

Montez replayed the recording Tuesday, mouthing the words as he picked them out through the scratchy garble of wind and road sounds.

Thirteen words, the two said, is a heck of a feat for a spirit, especially in the crowded soul-sphere of a cemetery.

States tell Obama to take a hike–Feds denied jurisdiction on environment, health and guns

States across the country want Washington to stop meddling in their affairs when it comes to the environment, health care and guns, and it’s not just right-wingers leading the charge.

Last week, Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal fired a shot at the Environmental Protection Agency for its attempt to coerce the state into regulating carbon dioxide as if this naturally occurring gas were a pollutant.In a letter to the EPA, Mr. Freudenthal cited a 1999 act of the legislature that prohibited him from taking any action to implement the Kyoto Protocol regarding reductions in so-called greenhouse gases.

Without U.S. Senate ratification, Kyoto never became the law of the land, and congressional Democrats have failed to enact the restrictions through a cap-and-trade law. That has left the Obama administration with no choice but to turn to the unelected bureaucracy to implement its agenda.That doesn’t sit well with Mr. Freudenthal, a Democrat and a 2008 convention superdelegate for Mr. Obama.

Mr. Freudenthal hasn’t been in any rush to call a special session to ask the legislature to modify state law. “He’s very troubled by the administration’s policies toward coal and other natural resources,” governor’s office spokesman Leigh Anne G. Manlove told The Washington Times. “He has some serious concerns about how they impact Wyoming.”~snip~This is the silver lining to Mr. Obama’s legislative excess.

Even members of his own party can see that it’s time to restore respect for the Ninth and 10th amendments to the Constitution by limiting federal power.

In 1935 Sinclair Lewis wrote It Can’t Happen Here, a novel about the rise of tyranny in America, whose message was that it indeed can happen here.

Just to remind us that in fact it “can happen here”, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer used the occasion of his appearance on noted legal forum, Good Morning America, to suggest that there may not be any First Amendment protection for burning the Koran.

“Holmes said it doesn’t mean you can shout ‘fire’ in a crowded theater,” Breyer told me. “Well, what is it? Why? Because people will be trampled to death. And what is the crowded theater today? What is the being trampled to death?”Breyer’s statement was every bit as flippant and ignorant of the Constitution and even previous Supreme Court decisions as you would expect from a Clinton appointee.

To begin with, Breyer misstated what Holmes had said and what he had meant. In Schenk vs United States, Holmes wrote, “The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man falsely shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic.” The key word here is “falsely”. Shouting “fire” in a crowded theater when there really is a fire, is a warning. Shouting it when there is no fire, is a malicious attempt to start a panic.

Holmes used the metaphor to argue that freedom of speech was contextual, so that some speech which presented a clear and present danger in a time of war could be banned. An Anti-War argument during peacetime might be legal, but illegal in wartime.Breyer is relying on a widely discredited decision from almost a century ago, and taking it completely out of context.

According to recently leaked documents, the Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security has been tracking anti-gas drilling groups and their meetings — including a public screening of the film “Gasland,” a documentary about the environmental hazards of natural gas drilling.

The office has included the information in its weekly intelligence bulletins sent to law enforcement agencies.The bulletins are also sent to gas companies drilling in the Marcellus Shale.Activists and environmental groups have responded with outrage and some alarm.

“There’s something dead-fishy here. … Something is rotten,” activist Gene Stilp said. He has called for a formal House and Senate inquiry into the activities of the Homeland Security Office.State Homeland Security Director James Powers explained that he has been including anti-gas drilling activist information in his triweekly intelligence briefings for about a month because there have been “five to 10” incidents of vandalism around the state related to the natural gas industry, which is one of the sectors he is charged with monitoring.

One of those incidents, he said, involved someone shooting a natural gas container tank with a shotgun in Venango County.Powers said the briefings are sent to local law enforcement and the owners and operators of “critical infrastructure.”Comparing himself to Tommy Lee Jones’ character in the film “The Fugitive,” Powers said, “I don’t care” which side of the issue someone is on — or if he or she is innocent. “My concern is public safety.”

Sheriff to call out posse to help with illegal immigration

PHOENIX —

Citing the arrests of 35 illegal aliens this week for allegedly being involved in human smuggling, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Wednesday he will soon implement his plan for a volunteer armed posse to help with enforcement of illegal immigration and human smuggling laws.

The sheriff said the posse members will be outfitted with appropriate hardware and gear.Arpaio’s announcement came as he reported his deputies arrested 23 illegal aliens who were being smuggled through Maricopa County on Tuesday night, bringing the week’s total to 35.

Tuesday night’s arrests were the result of two traffic stops in the north Valley involving two separate vehicles, the sehriff said. One vehicle contained 13 occupants and the other 12. Two suspects fled on foot into the desert.

“Even though the media hype surrounding SB1070 has worn off for now, illegal aliens continue to sneak into the United States through Maricopa County and my deputies continue to pursue them as they have for the past three years,” Arpaio said.

Dems Hold Military Hostage Over Amnesty

The Left has shown its colors once again. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has just attached a provision to a military funding bill that would grant amnesty to a whole class of illegal immigrants.

The provision, known as the DREAM Act, would allow those who can “prove’ they illegally broke into this country as children the right to full American citizenship if they attend college or join the military.

By hitching this ridiculous measure to a military spending bill, Reid single-handedly proved his subservience to the Open Borders Lobby and held up critical funding for our troops, currently fighting one declared war and one war the president pretends has come to an end.

Obama regularly makes the military pay the price for his domestic policy agenda, whether cutting their budget and theirs alone, or throwing the government‘s case against the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

Maintaining his corrupt policy of “say one thing to the American people and then do the opposite,” Dictator-in-Chief Obama remains true to his primary mission–collapse and destroy the USA and her people.

Applying the directives of Saul Alinsky, the Cloward-Piven Strategy and–of course–Karl Marx, Obama and his merry band of demolishers are working feverishly to destroy the USA before a potentially new and more conservative-run House of Representatives takes the majority.As a review of the anti-American people programs

The Obama has already implemented, we have:

1. ObamaCare that collapses the US healthcare system. Despite the majority of the American people’s protests against it, Obama smiled and said he and his Marxist Dems don’t care what We-the-People think–as we are no longer important or necessary to their arrogant and increasingly demonic purpose. While laughing at us, Obama signed his suppressive anti-human bill.

Note: After well over a year of lying about its reducing healthcare costs, ObamaCare is already forcing them to go up. And they will go up exponentially, as Obama & Co implements its plan for government to completely take over from private insurers; effectively forcing them out of the marketplace–entirely.

2. Knowing that his planned-to-collapse-energy-in-the-USA via Cap & Trade aka Cap & Tax or “The American Clean Energy and Security Act” or “the pollution reduction bill” is extremely unpopular with the American people, the tyrant Obama has already hedged his bets by giving power to his EPA to control companies carbon emissions. Note: One way or another, Obama plans to win his war against We-the-People of the United States of America.

3. Although not yet an absolute reality, the Obama’s plan to collapse the US Constitution’s First Amendment is well on its way to being approved by the currently almost completely corrupt US Congress. The “Internet kill switch” bill is designed to provide Dictator-in-Chief Obama with total control of the USA’s Internet and will allow him total censorship of opposition viewpoints.

What is the ‘tea party’ and how is it shaking up American politics?

In recent months, the “tea party” movement has swept across the political landscape, sending shivers through both major political parties and shaking up this year’s midterm elections.

What began as a minor insurgency featuring protesters waving signs of dubious syntax, followed by racially tinged conspiracies about President Obama’s lineage and religion and ostentatiously displayed firearms – and cheered on by some conservative commentators and bloggers – is now winning elections that could determine the balance of power in the US Congress.

The main question here is, does the trend favor Republicans or Democrats?

There is no such thing as the “tea party.” It is not organized as such, and in fact the movement in some sense is antiparty – even though most of its political pot-stirring has been within the GOP……

There is no tea Party.

The worse thing could be that we start making it a party.

It IS no more or less than the remaining remnant of real Americans. The lastsupport for the old USA!The best that could happens is that it does in its success destroy the Republican Party—the GOP id the other side of the two-party system; the lesser of evils; the mostly unrecognized other evil.

The GOP destroyed would allow for our return to our constitutional Republic, which the GOP now prevents.

The “other” party is the poor that will always be with us, regardless of the name it is known by: democrats, libs, progressives, commies, marxists, whatever.

The so-called tea party, the remnant, represent the remaining real Americans as opposed to AINOs,the fed-up, the p!$$ed off, the had -it-up-2-here folks who are mad as hell and aren’t gonna take any more o’ this crap!

Chicago’s insane liberal politics have driven away: Amoco, Waste Management, Quaker Oats, and even First Chicago among many other top tier corporations.Starting last year city workers including cops and firemen were suffering unpaid involuntary furloughs of first fifteen days then twenty four days this year.

Emblematic of the City’s “lifeboat ethic” is the penny wise and pound foolish sale of its parking meter system. The short term “gain” was a drop in Chicago’s budget shortfall but that revenue has been taken away forever as a source of income.The head Rat jumps ship because the problems are manyChicago’s Mayor For Life Richard Daley has announced he would not be running for reelection next February.

He didn’t elaborate beyond saying it was time to go, but who would know better how sick his city is than Richard Daley?The institutionalized problems that now preclude a reversal of Chicago’s fortunes are many and serious….

HOUSTON, 9/14/10 — With Mr. Smith’s permission, I present his reply to my Sunday article about the strange circumstances of his suspicious stroke. It hit him like a bolt as he was preparing the most explosive issue of The Iconoclast in its decade of Alamo-like audacity against the Establishment’s post-9/11 international war crimes and domestic dictatorship.

During that time the paper garnered international acclaim as an outpost of dissent a few dusty miles away from the Bush Western White House. During the Camp Casey days of August 2005, The Iconoclast was behind the scenes as it covered the story. By the next August and Camp Casey II, The Iconoclast had become the vanguard of the patriotic alternative media effort to analyze, anticipate and advertise what the editors called “red zones” during which another 9/11 was threatening.

Thank you for the very kind words.  I still cannot read or write but a few words without my blood pressure going through the roof. I cannot even think about or concentrate on things that move me without this happening to a level of dangerous proportions, which makes commentary by me nearly impossible, as is even discussing the things that matter to me. But I had to mention this very strange thing to you that I discovered immediately after the stroke that hit so hard my right hand. I keep in a wooden drawer directly below my computer mouse my signature rubber stamp that I have used for 30-plus years for signing checks.  Right after the strokes and a brief return to my desk when I took out the rubber stamp to use it to sign a check I discovered it had melted since its last use just prior to the strokes. The signature line had shifted — with the bottom of my name running off the flat edge something like in a Dali work of art. It’s weird that this would even happen, but weirder still that it would coincide exactly with my strokes.  This is just one of many unexplained “coincidences” surrounding what is now said to have been at least three strokes (both sides of my brain) and over 70 TIAs. Doctors have told me that they can’t understand why I am not already dead. Three different hospitals have diagnosed this differently.

Libertarianism and war are not compatible. One reason why should be obvious: In war, governments commit legalized mass-murder. In modern warfare especially, war is not just waged among voluntary combatants, but kills, maims, and otherwise harms innocent people. Then, of course, wars must be funded through taxes, which are extracted from U.S. citizens by force – a form of legalized theft, as far as libertarians are concerned. And, historically, the U.S. has used conscription – legalized slavery – to force people to fight and die. In addition, an interventionist foreign policy makes civilians targets for retaliation, so governments indirectly cause more violence against their own people when they become involved in other countries’ affairs. Plus, war is always accompanied by many other new restrictions on liberty, many of which are sold as supposedly temporary wartime measures but then never go away.

War Involves Mass Murder

Today, people mostly accept that innocent civilians die in wars, and it doesn’t seem to bother them too much as long as it’s happening to other people on the other side of the world. The military calls this “collateral damage,” and the American media mostly ignores it, but libertarians call attention to it and call it what it is: mass murder.

Historically, war didn’t necessarily involve killing innocents on a large scale. War was always terrible and undesirable, but by the eighteenth century, Europe had developed rules of “civilized warfare,” and wars were generally fought only between armies, with civilians off-limits. From the libertarian perspective, this type of war is not so much of a problem; if people choose to engage in mortal combat with each other, that may be foolish, self-destructive, and even immoral, but it’s not aggression in the libertarian sense. (Of course, those wars still have objectionable ends – generally, the right to dominate a particular territory – but at least the means aren’t so offensive.)

Modern warfare is another story. Modern governments, including but not limited to democracies, claim to represent “the people,” so modern wars are seen as being fought, not just between rulers, but between whole peoples. By this way of thinking, it’s not two governments fighting; it’s “all of us versus all of them.” This is how politicians and some conservative pundits talk: either you are rooting “for America” or you “want America to lose” – they don’t distinguish between the country’s government and its citizens. If their view is correct – if governments really do represent the people – then it follows (more easily) that the people are fair game in war.

If you witness police misconduct and record it as a video on your phone or camera, you won’t be welcomed as a hero. In several U.S. states, you could be subject to a long prison sentence.

In recent years, dozens of videos documenting police misconduct have been posted on YouTube. But prosecutors haven’t generally punished the offending cops. Increasingly, they’re arresting the individuals who posted the videos.

The charge? Illegal wiretapping. Yes, wiretapping – what the NSA does with impunity and without a warrant is illegal for us to do when we witness police abuse.

At least two states – Massachusetts and Illinois – make it illegal to record any on-duty police officer in any situation. It doesn’t matter if the officer is in the process of beating someone to death. It doesn’t matter if the recording is in your own home, and the police have just busted down your door in an illegal search. If you record the interaction, you can go to prison.

In ten other states, “all parties” must consent in order for a private person to make a recording of a conversation or personal encounter. Since a police officer acting abusively isn’t likely to give you permission to record the event, if you do so, you could be violating the wiretap statute – and be subject to a long prison sentence.

In Illinois, for instance, a street artist recorded his own arrest for selling artwork without a peddler’s license. He now faces up to 15 years in prison.

Arresting police whistleblowers is a nationwide trend. And the courts approve. For instance, the Massachusetts Supreme Court upheld the conviction of a man arrested for recording a police encounter. Defendant Michael Hyde used the recording to file a harassment complaint against police. Instead, he was convicted of illegal wiretapping. While he was sentenced to only six months of probation, he could have faced a much longer prison term.

By now, readers of this column should be aware of the decision my family and I made to leave the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, and move to the majestic Rocky Mountains: the Flathead Valley of Montana, to be specific. Mind you, Pensacola, Florida, has been my wife’s and my home for 35 years. It is the place where each of our children was born and raised, and still resides today. Rest assured, each of my family is aware of the cold weather climate to which we are headed. We are also very cognizant of the extremely difficult economic circumstances that exist. The truth is, if we were basing this move on things such as “practicality,” or “job opportunity,” or “a place to retire,” we would either 1) stay where we are, or 2) move somewhere else (someplace warmer), because this move, in many ways, is impractical, financially challenging, and could bring personal discomfort to all of us during those harsh Montana winters. The fact is, none of that has any bearing on our decision to move.

I know unbelievers and skeptics have a hard time when I say this, but, we are moving to the Flathead Valley of Montana for the same reason we moved to Pensacola, Florida, 35 years ago: we know it is God‘s perfect will for our lives. Period. Why else would we do it? Why would we leave the comfort and security of home, family, and friends? Why would we attempt such a major move in such an economically depressed housing and job market? Why would I walk away from the church that my wife and I started and have poured our hearts and souls into for over 35 years, and that took such very good care of us? On a human level, this move makes absolutely no sense. But as Christians, we are not supposed to live our lives on a purely human level, are we?

I own a small business. About two hours ago, a woman came through the door marked NO ADMITTANCE EMPLOYEES ONLY and started talking to one of the guys, asking questions about the business.

He tried to point out to her that she had just walked through a door that was pretty clearly marked as for employees only and she waved that off and produced a business card that said she was a UPS Representative.

The guy said, so does that mean you work here?Some of our guys have an attitude, you see. I don’t know where they get it, it’s a warehouse and they are guys, so I let it go, even though I am always perfectly civil.Anyway, she starts to explain that she is here by request of Homeland Security and is doing a checkup on our business because we do a lot of shipping. The guy calls me and says I should come downstairs.

Just as I am coming down the stairs, I hear her saying that if we don’t fill out the forms that she is waving around, we could have our shipping interrupted as soon as tomorrow. I stepped in and told her I would take care of it, leave the forms with me. She said no, she would wait until I filled them out. I told her that would be right around the time that hell froze over.

OK, that was not perfectly civil, but I don’t like it when people are abusing me and my right to privacy.See, I said, you don’t walk, unannounced, into MY company and tell me I might be out of business the following day without notice and without explanation and your only authority for this is that you have a UPS business card … and that she would have to leave.I called my UPS Agent and she said that yes, there was some “auditing” of businesses going on, but that it was not necessary to fill out the forms, it was a cooperative effort they were engaged in with DHS.

The woman was just trying to do her job, but no, it didn’t have to be filled out on the spot and no, she had no authority or reason to say our shipping would be interrupted. She was embarrassed, I think.I told her thanks and hung up the phone.

Anti-Fox News Ad to Air on Fox News Tonight Airing tonight on “The O’Reilly Factor”

Retiring Air Force intel chief sounds alarm on American air superiority

OXON HILL, Md. —

The U.S. Air Force’s former top intelligence officer warned a roomful of generals this week that the U.S. has lost its air power advantages and is dangerously ill-prepared to stop the gap-closing efforts of China and Russia.Lt. Gen. David Deptula, a former F-15 pilot , challenged Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ fundamental belief that U.S. air power vastly overmatches any foreign military.

“For the first time, our claim to air supremacy is in jeopardy,” Deptula told the Air Force Association’s national convention on Monday.At the same forum last year, Gates defended ordering a halt to the production of the Air Force’s vaunted F-22, saying that by the time China produces a fighter comparable to the F-22, the U.S. will have more than 1,000 F-22s and F-35s.

The Air Force Association has openly opposed Gates’ stance and this year Deptula came armed with a 15-minute bombastic video titled “Threats to 2010 Air Supremacy.” His presentation attempted to reopen more than just the F-22 fight, warning that from surface-to-air defenses to air-to-air fighters, the U.S. was letting others catch up.

These future threats, he said, are now current.There is “a global revolution to modernize air defense systems,” the video’s narrator explained. Russia and China are deploying or building better surface-to-air missile, or SAM, systems that could one day prove too much for U.S. fighter aircraft.Within the decade, it said, both nations could field fighter jets nearly comparable to the F-22.“When taken in total, our potential adversaries can create a nearly impenetrable box that our legacy fighters cannot enter, thus denying us our air supremecy,” it said.After showing the video, Deptula dismissed “the notion of overmatch in the realm of air dominance,” a reference to the Gates position.

It is unclear how much weight Deptula will be able to lend to those in the Air Force, or on Capitol Hill, clamoring to defend air power procurement programs. Consistent with this provision, I have sent to the Federal Register the enclosed notice, stating that the emergency declared with respect to the terrorist attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001, is to continue in effect for an additional year.”"The terrorist threat that led to the declaration on September 14, 2001, of a national emergency continues.

For this reason, I have determined that it is necessary to continue it in effect after September 14, 2010, the national emergency with respect to the terrorist threat.”In fact, no threat existed nine years ago or today. Two cybersecurity bills that would hand President Obama the power to shut down parts of the Internet in the event of a national emergency have now been merged into a single unified piece of legislation that Democrats will try to pass before the end of the year, with the Department of Homeland Security being given a larger role in policing the world wide web.

Under the new draft bill, which is a combination of the two versions originally crafted by Senators Joe Lieberman and Jay Rockefeller, Janet Napolitano’s DHS will be handed broader authority to determine how to handle potential cybersecurity threats.“DHS will get expanded authorities. I think that’s clear,” said James Lewis, a cybersecurity expert with think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies, who has studied the new bill.An expanded role for Homeland Security would be somewhat ironic given the fact that the DHS itself recently failed an extensive cyber-security audit conducted by the agency’s own Inspector General.“The DHS US-CERT office is currently plagued by at least 600 vulnerabilities that could compromise sensitive data, including 202 which have been classified as high-risk,” reported TG Daily.Homeland Security’s failure to adequately secure its own internal network will lead to questions about why the agency should be given vast new authority to secure America’s cyber assets and the public Internet.Democrats want to get the bill passed within the next four weeks, although “sticking points” could delay the legislation, according to a Senate aide familiar with the bill. However, lawmakers are determined to put the package up for a vote before the end of the year.

Napolitano said the machines would be, “used in a mobile inspection capacity to identify anomalies in passenger vehicles – on the Southwest border … These machines greatly assist CBP officers in inspections.”The military uses the machines in anti-terrorist operations in the Middle East and for base security in the United States. For the past three years, the Air Force has used the devices to scan vehicles that come to the gate of a stateside base.A contract from the Department of Defense website shows that the United States Marine Corps had an $86 million contract in 2005 to purchase 52 of the vans. Delivery of the first part of the order was scheduled for 2006.

The Post & Email had previously reported on the case of two plaintiffs, one of whom is U.S. Senate candidate Tim Fasano, regarding their request for and subsequent denial of a grand jury hearing stemming from suspected criminal conduct on the part of a judge who had presided over a criminal case in which Mr. Fasano and his wife were injured in their home by several assailants.

Mr. Fasano contacted us last week to inform us that his case was placed on a 30-day schedule for hearing and disposition at the Nevada Supreme Court, where he will represent himself in requesting the convening of a grand jury in Churchill County, NV. If convened, the grand jury would examine evidence of criminal conduct against Judge David A. Huff, in keeping with the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Nevada Revised Statutes.

I categorically refused to accept this proposition as well, arguing strenuously that the damage being done to this nation by the cascading national debt and the erosions of constitutional restraints on the federal government under Obama are getting worse by the day. I also stated to our Bilbray volunteer that I am extremely concerned about the situation in which out military forces have been placed – conducting combat operations without proper legal authority – which potentially places these forces in extreme legal jeopardy.

4. Finally, this nice young man fell back on his “ace in the hole” defense – 69 million people voted for Barack Obama, so he is the president and there is nothing we can do about it. This defense is otherwise known as the “Judge Carter” defense. This is where our young constitutional scholar really stepped in it. I quickly educated him on the fact that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and that no election fraud conspiracy, no forged documents, no misrepresentation of eligibility, no oath of office sworn under fraudulent circumstances, can override the clear and unequivocal eligibility requirements of the United States Constitution.

As Iconoclast publisher W. Leon Smith was planning for perhaps the most intense Iconoclast editorial to ever be written, one involving false flags and the upcoming anniversary of 9/11, forces were working to see that this did not happen.

On Thursday, Aug. 26, he had just completed writing the lead story in this issue of the Iconoclast entitled “How Many Total War Deaths In Iraq?” As he was giving the story one last click with his computer mouse he suffered what has been termed by medical professionals as a stroke. He had lost the function of his right hand, some of his speech, and part of his right leg, but he was able walk uphill half a block to get assistance.

Much of his speech and right hand movement had returned after a couple of hours. He spent the night in a Central Texas hospital undergoing CT scans, MRI’s, multiple ultrasounds, and many more tests.

Cornwall was also a great storyteller and could thrill audiences at churches and in conferences by weaving details of true-life events with deep theological propositions.

A particular story that raised profound spiritual-warfare implications revolved around one of the first churches he pastored as a young minister in a sleepy little town near the Oregon coast. As described by Cornwall himself at Redwood Family Camp meeting in the 1970s, he had barely settled into leadership at the church when strange things began to happen for which he had no explanation. Objects in the building seemed to move around on their own, especially overnight when the building was supposed to be unoccupied. He would hear the piano playing and go into the sanctuary to find nobody there. Doors would slam, pews would be discovered positioned backward against the wall, and his notes would disappear—then reappear.

Members of the church reported similar phenomena, and Cornwall eventually learned that the activity had been going on for years.One night, hours after he had gone home to bed, Cornwall’s telephone rang and the police chief was on the other end of the line. He wanted to know what kind of party Cornwall was sponsoring at the church.“What do you mean, a party?” Cornwall asked.“Neighbors are calling. They say it’s so loud they can’t sleep. Several Persian Gulf War vets reported that they were ordered to take experimental vaccines during Operation Desert Shield or face prison.

Most researchers cite radioactive poisoning from depleted uranium shells as the deadliest element in the Gulf War Illness “cocktail.” In the 1991 war the Pentagon fired more than 340 tons of DU projectiles at targets in Iraq and Kuwait. More than a half million Gulf era veterans are on medical disability. It was in 1993 that a group of twenty four affected soldiers went to a leading expert on radiation and found they had many times the “safe” level of toxic depleted uranium in their bodies.The military of course continues to deny the connection of depleted uranium to the returning vet’s illnesses, but so many were sick that in 2007, President Bush signed legislation for a newly mandated study. I have my doubts of the outcome simply because the government rarely takes responsibility for their crimes against the citizens and military personnel. However, in 1996, the DOD admitted that Desert Storm soldiers were exposed to chemical agents.

Hundreds of thousands of military personnel during the last seventy years have been involved in human experimentation and other intentional exposures conducted by the DOD, often without a service member’s knowledge or consent. In some cases, soldiers who consented to serve as human subjects found themselves participating in experiments quite different from those described at the time they volunteered.

Citing a recent Forbes article by Dinesh D’Souza, former House speaker Newt Gingrich tells National Review Online that President Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.

Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”

“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”

“This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president,” Gingrich tells us.

9/11: Nine Years Later, We Still Won’t Say Who Hit Us

9/11/01 will remain one of the worst days in American history. Along with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, the date of September 11th will not be forgotten by Americans who lived through that awful day.Yet, it must be noted; nine years later we still will not define those responsible. If the backwards governments of the Middle East excepting Israel, which is a shining outpost of democracy stifle personal development, and their cultures turn out sexually repressed throat-cutters, then the world has a big problem. Not admitting that their culture is poison is a part of that problem.

The so-called “War on Terror” is a farce, because terror is a weapon but not an enemy. It is like declaring war against tear-gas. Or poverty, or drugs. Like drugs in America, terrorism is a tactic to bring meaning to the most meaningless people on earth.This September 11th we must remember…
