Marine in drunken incident with girl, 14Townsville Bulletin Australia ^ | 5th October 2010 | Alexis GillhamPosted on Monday, October 04, 2010 8:49:27 PM by naturalman1975A US marine here as part of the military’s Exercise Hamel was taken into police custody and questioned after a drunken incident with a 14-year-old girl on The Strand on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old marine allegedly grabbed the girl who was skating past on a skateboard. He was taken to the Townsville watch house and interrogated for 90 minutes. The older sister of the girl who was present is understood to have asked that charges not be laid.
It has sparked concern as to how the Department of Defence would monitor the 6000-strong military contingent.Northern Region Crime Coordinator Acting Inspector Mick Walker said the incident was believed to have taken place outside the Seaview Hotel.”At 8pm a member of the US Marine Corps, who we believe had been drinking at the Seaview, was involved in an incident with a 14-year-old girl,” he said.
“She had been skateboarding out the front when the suspect walked out.”We’re not sure exactly what happened but he’s touched her on the arm … she pushed him off and he staggered away.”Police attended the Seaview Hotel where they located the offender and took him into custody for investigation.Inspector Walker said the girl, who had been with her 22-year-old sister, made no formal complaint and the soldier was released at 9.30pm.
Exercise Hamel is the largest military training exercise to ever take place within the Australian Defence Force.More than 6000 troops from Australia’s Army, Navy and Airforce will descend on Townsville over the next month.Troops have also arrived from New Zealand and the United States Marine Corps to be part of the intense military exercise.

Russia Today: Glenn Beck Copies Alex Jones
Conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck kicked off his “Restoring America” tour in New Jersey to a modest crowd of around 700 people. And, it has now come to light that Glenn Beck and his staff listen to Alex Jones’s radio show for ideas. What does Jones think about a big star from the highest rated cable news network using his ideas? Well, he isn’t honored.
EDITORIAL: Islamic flag over the White House–Radical Muslims want America ruled by Shariah
Islamists say the Koran is destined to rule America. In fact, the Muslim takeover of the White House is not just an unfolding action plan but a directive from Muhammad himself.
In an interview Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” British radical Muslim activist Anjem Choudary made clear what he and his Islamist brothers have planned for the West. “We do believe, as Muslims, the East and the West will one day be governed by the Shariah,” he said.
“Indeed, we believe that one day, the flag of Islam will fly over the White House.” He then quoted a hadith, or saying of Muhammad, as related by 10th-century Muslim scholar Al-Tabarani, that “the final hour will not come until Muslims conquer the White House.”
Another version of the saying goes, “A small portion of Muslims will rise and conquer the White House.”Many Americans believe this conquest is well underway, if not already secretly completed.
President Obama was concerned enough about perceptions of his faith to address the question at one of his recent “backyard discussions” in New Mexico.
Mr. Obama said he is “a Christian by choice,” which may or may not assuage the concerns of those who believe he is a Muslim by birth.
The president’s declaration of faith may not help with his vaunted outreach to the global Muslim community. A Gallup poll released last week showed that current approval of U.S. leadership in countries in the Middle East and North Africa is “similar or lower than what it was in 2008,” in some cases “erasing gains seen after the transition from the Bush administration to the Obama administration.”
In no country was the approval rating above 30 percent…

A Conspiracy Against Ourselves by John Taylor Gatto
Schools got the way they were at the start of the twentieth century as part of a vast, intensely engineered social revolution in which all major institutions were overhauled to work together in harmonious managerial efficiency.
Ours was to be an improvement on the British system, which once depended on a shared upper-class culture for its coherence. Ours would be subject to a rational framework of science, law, instruction, and mathematically derived merit. When Morgan reorganized the American marketplace into a world of cooperating trusts at the end of the nineteenth century, he created a business and financial subsystem to interlink with the subsystem of government, the subsystem of schooling, and other subsystems to regulate every other aspect of national life. None of this was conspiratorial.
Each increment was rationally defensible. But the net effect was the destruction of small-town, small-government America, strong families, individual liberty, and a lot of other things people weren’t aware they were trading for a regular corporate paycheck.
A huge price had to be paid for business and government efficiency, a price we still pay in the quality of our existence. Part of what kids gave up was the prospect of being able to read very well, a historic part of the American genius. Instead, school had to train them for their role in the new overarching social system.
But spare yourself the agony of thinking of this as a conspiracy. It was and is a fully rational transaction, the very epitome of rationalization engendered by a group of honorable men, all honorable men – but with decisive help from ordinary citizens, from almost all of us as we gradually lost touch with the fact that being followers instead of leaders, becoming consumers in place of producers, rendered us incompletely human.
It was a naturally occurring conspiracy, one which required no criminal genius. The real conspirators were ourselves. When we sold our liberty for the promise of automatic security, we became like children in a conspiracy against growing up, sad children who conspire against their own children, consigning them over and over to the denaturing vats of compulsory state factory schooling.

Parks Employee: 10-2 “One Nation” March — “Worst That It Gets” New Video of Lincoln Mem. Trashed
An honest Parks Department employee who was on duty at both the 8/28 and 10/2 events, verifies that the trashing of the Lincoln memorial by the Leftists was the “Worst that it Gets” and The Restoring Honor Rally was very busy, very crowded, but the trash was picked up and put into piles by the participants.
This could be shrugged off as insignificant, but it is a powerful example of the “unintended consequences” of the Marxist/Capitalist, Progressive/Conservative, Secular group salvation, liberation theology/Religious individual salvation, Judeo Christian Culture competing systems in America today.
Those of us who were there the whole time, and watched thousands just drop their bottles, wrappers, food, or literature when they were finished with them, saw a culture of carelessness, apathy, flippancy, and neglect which is simply the root of the utter failure of Leftism every time it has been tried.

Boiling Mad – Inside Tea Party America, by Kate Zernike
A surprising and revealing look inside the Tea Party movement—where it came from, what it stands for, and what it means for the future of American politics They burst on the scene at the height of the Great Recession—angry voters gathering by the thousands to rail against bailouts and big government. Evoking the Founding Fathers, they called themselves the Tea Party.
Within the year, they had changed the terms of debate in Washington, emboldening Republicans and confounding a new administration’s ability to get things done.Boiling Mad is Kate Zernike’s eye-opening look inside the Tea Party, introducing us to a cast of unlikely activists and the philosophy that animates them. She shows how the Tea Party movement emerged from an unusual alliance of young Internet-savvy conservatives and older people alarmed at a country they no longer recognize. The movement is the latest manifestation of a long history of conservative discontent in America, breeding on a distrust of government that is older than the nation itself. But the Tea Partiers’ grievances are rooted in the present, a response to the election of the nation’s first black president and to the far-reaching government intervention that followed the economic crisis of 2008-2009. Though they are better educated and better off than most other Americans, they remain deeply pessimistic about the economy and the direction of the country.
Zernike introduces us to the first Tea Partier, a nose-pierced young teacher who lives in Seattle with her fiancé, an Obama supporter. We listen in on what Tea Partiers learn about the Constitution, which they embrace as the backbone of their political philosophy. We see how young conservatives, who model their organization on the Grateful Dead, mobilize a new set of activists several decades their elder. And we watch as suburban mothers, who draw their inspiration from MoveOn and other icons of the Left, plot to upend the Republican Party in a swing district outside Philadelphia. The Tea Party movement has energized a lot of voters, but it has polarized the electorate, too. Agree or disagree, we must understand this movement to understand American politics in 2010 and beyond.
Art Vanick on Glenn Beck and Mormonism
Art Vanick, co-author of The Spalding Enigma, Who Really Wrote The Book of Mormon, makes an appearance on Out of Mormonism to address the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor Rally.Andy, Art, and Roger discuss the ramifications of the rally from a biblical Christian perspective.
Do Christians understand that Mormonism is different than biblical Christianity?[ These are two separate "Out of Mormonism" radio podcasts from Mesa, Arizona. Very interesting.]While Mormonism may not pose the violent / stealth and political threat that Islam does, from a spiritual standpoint, it is just as dangerous.

Glenn Beck: The New LDS Apologist?
“This is weird. Glenn Beck, who became a Mormon a few years back, is now using his program to promote Mormon archaeology.
If you click on these links you can view it. He also has a conspiracy theory about how science, government, commerce, and religion, not in the least, the Smithsonian Institute, purposefully altered history.
My good friend Kurt Van Gorden sent me the links below, as well as the descriptions of what he is saying in the videos
In the first video, about half way through, I about fell out of my chair when Beck referenced Adair’s History of the American Indians imagine! as proof of similarity between Native American ceremonies and Israelites. He forgot to mention that it predates the BOM by several decades It was written arounde 1765!.
He then ties the Egyptian pyramid math to the Indian mounds only FARMS and the Maxwell Institute have ventured in this arena, which instantly identified his sources for me.

It matters not whom we elect.
The Pentagon and the military contractors call the shots.
The title “Commander in Chief” is ceremonial, like “Employee of the Month” at your local Burger King.
Everything you need to know can be found in just two paragraphs from Obama’s War. Here’s the scene:
Obama is meeting with his National Security Council staff on the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year. He’s getting ready to give a big speech announcing his new strategy for Afghanistan.
Except…the strategy isn’t set yet. The military has presented him with just one option: escalation. But at the last minute, Obama tells everyone, hold up — the door to a plan for withdrawal isn’t closed. The brass isn’t having it: “Mr. President,” [Army Col. John Tien] said, “I don’t see how you can defy your military chain here. We kind of are where we are. Because if you tell General McChrystal, ‘I got your assessment, got your resource constructs, but I’ve chosen to do something else,’ you’re going to probably have to replace him.
You can’t tell him, ‘Just do it my way, thanks for your hard work.’ And then where does that stop?” The colonel did not have to elaborate. His implication was that not only McChrystal but the entire military high command might go in an unprecedented toppling — Gates; Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Gen. David H. Petraeus, then head of U.S. Central Command. Perhaps no president could weather that, especially a 48-year-old with four years in the U.S. Senate and 10 months as commander in chief.

People Of The Lie: The Psychopathology Of The “Public Servant” And The Sociopathology Of The State
Posted By admin On October 4, 2010 @ 3:28 am In Commentary | No CommentsDavid WhiteZero HedgeOct 4, 2010
“We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to high office.”– AesopAs the recent Pentagon scandal makes all too clear, truth is treason in the empire of lies [1]. Which is why attempting to shoot the messenger – by imprisoning the whistleblower [2] and/or slandering the publisher [3] – makes perfect sense for an arm – indeed, the very arms – of the United States government.
So if we are to understand its logic as all of its actions, however insane, are perfectly logical to it, we must understand the pathology that lies at its core. For unless and until we do, we cannot understand why government per se – i.e., the state [4], defined as “a monopoly on the use of force within its borders” – does what it does; why its functionaries lie so shamelessly on its behalf; and, most importantly, why its presumed masters – We the People – put up with it.We begin by amending Friedrich Nietzsche’s blunt statement – “Everything the State says is a lie, and everything it has it has stolen” – with a simple substitution of one word with another – i.e.,
“Everything the State says is a lie because everything it has it has stolen.” Being no less blunt, let us examine this statement to determine its verity. First of all, every thief is by definition a liar, since thievery – the dishonest taking of property belonging to another person [5] – is itself a lie. It follows, then, that if one steals for a living, one also lies for a living, the question being why the state is not condemned by the general public for this reason, given that it has nothing beyond that which extracts from society under threat of fines and/or imprisonment.
The answer is that a particular lie has been told, so well and for so long, that for all practical purposes the question is not even asked. Yes, the application of the lie is questioned – is such-and-such amount in such-and-such form appropriate – but the fact, the existence, of the lie is not questioned, no further proof needed than that it stands side-by-side with death as one of the two certainties of life.

Translation of State Department Advisory
by Robert Wenzel
Economic Policy JournalRecently by Robert Wenzel: Meredith Whitney Predicts 80,000 Layoffs for Wall St. The State Department has issued an advisory for Americans travelling in Europe, below is an uncensored translation that removes the political correctness and ass covering of the official advisory:
This summer we waterboarded an unshaved Muslim from Germany. In rather record time he warned us of possible attacks in Europe, we are not sure if he was telling us the truth or if he was making it all up so that he wouldn’t be waterboarded anymore.
Just to make sure, we waterboarded him once more, unfortunately we killed him on that go round.
Before his death, he did, however, provide us with the name of an al-Qaida member who knew the specifics of the plan.
Unfortunately, in another stroke of bad luck, we killed that guy the week before in a drone attack.

Soviet Collapse Ruined the U.S.
In 2005, then-President Vladimir Putin called the collapse of the Soviet Union the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century. As time passes, I find myself agreeing with him more and more.
To be sure, my regrets are fundamentally different from Putin’s. I’ve been a U.S. citizen for three decades, and my son is as American as they come. The United States is clearly my home, and I consider myself a patriotic American. This is why I decry the disappearance of the Soviet empire. Its demise may have dealt a potentially mortal blow to the United States.
The Soviet Union strained its resources and pauperized, exploited and oppressed its own people in order to compete with the United States, the embodiment of the bitterly adversarial capitalist system. Most Soviets didn’t believe the authorities who told them that they were living and working in a “workers’ paradise.” It was a struggle that its leaders believed would prove the supremacy of communism. It was bad for the Soviet Union but a godsend for the United States. The Soviet propaganda droned incessantly about how workers are impoverished and exploited under capitalism.
It tried to flip the truth on its head: to deny that the U.S. government after the Great Depression implemented policies that helped raise incomes while drastically improving the work conditions and financial well-being of workers. In the 1950s, things got even better for U.S. workers. The gap between the rich and the poor was the narrowest in U.S. history, and the U.S. middle class reached new levels of prosperity.Soviet forays into post-colonial Africa and Asia and the revolutionary movements it fomented in Latin America forced Washington to pay attention to those countries and assist in their development. Even discounting support for the occasional tyrant, it did much good and helped spread U.S. influence and American values around the world.
Even if they are not always followed in practice, democracy and free enterprise have become dominant political values globally.
