“A Republic, ma’am, if you can keep it”

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

“Except for a brief period during the Reagan years, America has been moving steadily toward becoming a social democracy rather than the republic our founders gave us. There is a very good reason why this is happening. Since 1933, Democrats have had complete control of government – Presidency, House and Senate – for 34 years.

Republicans, on the other hand, have had control of government for a total of four years 108th and 109th Congress. Democrats controlled both houses of Congress for 56 years, while Republicans controlled both houses for only 12 years. For 22 years, the Democrats had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate; none for the Republicans.Clearly, Democrats have steered the ship of state since the Roosevelt era.

While Democrats loudly blame the Republicans for all the nation’s woes, it is the Democrats who must accept responsibility for the state of the nation. As bad as things are in the United States at the moment, the United States is in far better shape than most of the rest of the world.

But the nation is nowhere near as good as it would have been had the republic – and its free market – been allowed to prosper. The “Progressive” era that arose from the writings of Marx, Lenin, and others, embraced fully by Woodrow Wilson’s administration, infested the Democrat Party, and since Franklin Roosevelt, has promoted policies that advance Marxism and erodes the republican form of government designed by our founders. The republican form of government created by our founders consists of three primary pillars: the election of representatives who make policy; the election of a president through the Electoral College; and the election of Senators by state legislatures. All three of these pillars are under severe attack. Increasingly, state and local policies are being decided by direct vote of the people, instead of by representatives elected by the people.

This is direct democracy, not the way a republic functions. Our founders carefully avoided the possibility of a direct democracy, well aware of the inevitable anarchy that always follows democracy…”

Larry Pratt — The Ruling Class – Past and Present

“…Grathwol reported that Ayers made that statement in a room of some twenty-five people, most of whom had graduate degrees. Gellately found that the leaders of the death squads in Hitler’s Nazi regime were also similarly well-educated.

This information certainly adds perspective to the detrimental value afforded by a liberal arts education in most universities of the United States. All three of these mass murderers followed the Alinsky prescription faithfully, namely, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

When we look at President Obama’s method of operation, we can see that he learned this lesson well.

Indeed, Obama taught Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals for two years at the University of Chicago School of Law.He picks targets for smearing banks, insurance companies, Republicans, etc.. He then goes on to freeze his target, to personalize it greedy executives, House Minority Leader John Boehner and then to polarize.

Polarizing is part of the acid used by the 20th Century’s tyrants as well as Saul Alinsky and his followers…”

Marilyn M. Barnewall — General Jones, Donilon, and other Boondoggles

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

Donilon was also a senior adviser to the presidential campaign of Michael Dukakis. He broke his losing streak when he assisted Bill Clinton with debate preparation, then served as an adviser for Clinton’s 1992 transition team. He helped prepare President Obama for his debate with Senator John McCain.

He worked at the State Department as chief spokesman and Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs. He’s a politician and a lobbyist from a political family.

Oh, yes. He was Executive Vice President at Fannie Mae. He lobbied against increased regulation of Fannie Mae… and made millions of dollars while doing it. And now the President has appointed him America’s National Security Advisor.

According to journalist Michael O’Brien, “Rep. Cliff Stearns R-Fla. pressured Donilon, the current deputy national security adviser, to decline the new job due to his work in the past as a lobbyist for mortgage giant Fannie Mae and his lack of previous military experience

Again, We-the-People need to turn out in numbers so large they have never before been seen in US voting history. We must take our country back, as Obama and his Marxist thugs continue to call us “extremists” and “crazies” for demanding that the US Constitution be adhered to and upheld by ALL US citizens; especially if they’re our elected officials.

Pray and vote, folks, so that on 3 November we can begin OUR jobs of sweeping out the garbage in earnest.

We must then immediately begin to undo Obama’s damage to OUR country and to us.

President Corrects Voter

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

A voter at a “town hall” type meeting who expressed a fear that “America is becoming a communist country” was lectured for his “error” by a professorial President Obama.

“With all due respect to my ill-informed constituent, let me point out that under communism, all the major factors of production are owned by the government,” the President observed.

“The transformation I am making does not require government ownership of the means for production. A simple public-private partnership will be sufficient to ensure that the government’s decisions are carried out by the private owners of the resources.”

“A more pertinent social model for describing my program would be that employed in Germany and Italy during the 1930s,” the President continued. “Ownership remained in private hands, but the major decisions on what and how to produce were socially determined for the good of the whole rather than for profit.”

While conceding that “Obamanomics” might be a flattering term to describe his program, the President said that “progressive” is the more modest moniker he prefers.

Ironically, “progressive” is a term that Soviet leaders usually used when describing their programs.

Outrages to Remember Before Voting on November 2

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

Before voting for any Democrat on November 2, voters who really care about the future of America need to reflect on the old adage which holds that, “Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely.”That truth has never been more in evidence than over the past two years, during which time America has been in the hands of an ultra-liberal Democrat in the White House and equally far-left Democrats presiding over majorities in both chambers of Congress.

The results of the Obama, Reid, and Pelosi deadly stranglehold on our precious nation are ugly, indeed.

Why An Income Tax is NOT Necessary to Fund the U.S. Government

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

Where do your “income” tax dollars go?The best place to look for an answer to this question would be a government report, so let’s take just one at random:President’s Private Sector Survey On Cost ControlA Report to The President ReaganJanuary 15, 1984. Available from the Congressional Research Service.

The excerpt below can be found on page 12. “Importantly, any meaningful increases in taxes from personal income would have to come from lower and middle income families, as 90% of all personal taxable income is generated below the taxable income level of $35,000. Further, there isn’t much more that can be extracted from high income brackets. If the Government took 100% of all taxable income beyond the $75,000 tax bracket not already taxed, it would get only $17 billion, and this confiscation, which would destroy productive enterprise, would only be sufficient to run the Government for several days.

Resistance to additional income taxes would be even more widespread if people were aware that: With two-thirds of everyone’s personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100% of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the Federal Government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services which taxpayers expect from their government.”So what we have is a central bank issuing worthless paper “money” that controls our economy, our lives and our future.

This private banking cartel was unconstitutionally granted this power by a devious, scheming group of senators back in 1913. In essence what they did was place the American people into indentured servitude by forcing The People to pay usury on worthless fiat currency paper money created out of nothing, not to fund the government, but to enrich the bankers and fund wars in which America should never be involved.

This system exists not to fund the government, but to allow the U.S. Congress carte blanche power to continue funding unconstitutional agencies and programs by providing them with a bottomless source of worthless ink.

Did Obama Tell Left-Wing Journalist About Most Closely Guarded U.S. Secrets? Read Between The Lines

October 17, 2010 Leave a comment

First, read the article from Bill Gertz in the Wash Times:”A new book Bob Woodward reveals some of the CIA‘s holy-of-holies secrets: Details of covert action programs that must be approved personally by the president.

Mr. Woodward, in “Obama’s Wars,” describes a Dec. 9, 2008, meeting between President-elect Obama and then-CIA Director Michael V. Hayden and then-Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell. The briefing was on a detailed listing of some of the “14 highly classified covert actions,” Mr. Woodward wrote.

At the top of the list was the Bush administration’s program to “conduct clandestine, lethal counterterrorism operations and other programs to stop terrorists worldwide” in more than 60 nations. One program goal was to stop al Qaeda from using a nuclear weapon or spreading a biological warfare agent.Other covert actions were directed at stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons; deterring North Korea from building more; conducting anti-arms proliferation activities around the world; and launching lethal CIA operations in Afghanistan, like deadly drone attacks and the 3,000-person CIA unit called Counterterrorism Pursuit Teams.

In Iraq, CIA covert action involves both lethal and political operations. Also, CIA was paying “tens of millions” to several foreign intelligence services, including Jordan’s General Intelligence Department.Covert actions mentioned in the briefing included a program to stop genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan and a CIA program to provide the Turkish government with intelligence and other support to prevent the northern Iraq-based Kurdish Workers’ Party PKK from setting up an enclave in Turkey.

Disclosure of the programs raised eyebrows among several high-ranking national security officials because covert action — political, military and intelligence operations that are designed to hide the U.S. role in carrying them out — are among the most closely guarded secrets.”Now read between the lines below!

Islamic kids cartoons praised

‘These are not types of heroes

New Shariah-compliant Islamic cartoon “superhero”

A coming series of “superhero” cartoons promoting the tenets of Islam under the title of “The 99″ – which has been praised by President Obama – is drawing a terse warning from an expert who has analyzed media impact on people for decades.

“These are not the types of heroes you want your children to have,” Dr. Ted Baehr, chief of MOVIEGUIDE®,” told WND today. “These heroes, at their core, because they represent values contrary to humanity, at the core these heroes are more villain than hero.”

Get the latest reports on what Hollywood is doing, subscribe to “MOVIEGUIDE,”

Reports already have circulated about the plans by The Hub, which formerly was Discovery Kids, to produce the series featuring characters portraying the 99 attributes of Allah, at Family Security Matters and others.

(Story continues below)

The New York Post ran a column describing plans for the Shariah-compliant Muslim superheroes – “including one who fights crime hidden head-to-toe by a burqa.”

“These Islamic butt-kickers are ready to bring truth, justice and indoctrination to impressionable Western minds,” the report said.

That’s the problem, according to Baehr, with the Middle East cartoon that reportedly is being picked up and scheduled for a launch early in 2011 by Hasbro toys and Discovery Communications.

A preview of the program has been posted online:

Baehr’s organization said the program includes “hair-hiding headscarves” that are “mandatory for the five female characters, not including a ‘burqa babe’ called Batina the Hidden.”

“Curiously (or not so curiously considering his track record), President Obama, who was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia but supposedly converted to Christianity, praised this work created by Kuwaiti psychologist Naif al-Mutawa, saying at an April meeting with Arab entrepreneurs, ‘His superheroes embody the teachings of the tolerance of Islam.’”

That message also is online:

Adrian Morgan of Family Security Matters, which is a think tank, wondered, “Are we going to see a**-kicking Christian superhero nuns called Faith, Hope and Charity … sending Satan into Hell? It’s doubtful!”

Baehr’s organization said the characters, which are expected to be on-air sometime in January 2011 or later, also reportedly are featured in a six-part series of DC Comics where the Justice League superheroes of Superman and Batman reach out to the Islamics.

“With all due respect to President Obama and contrary to his opinion, the Muslim faith is known for its lies about Christians and Jews, lies about the Bible, lies about Jesus and His apostles, violence, warrior mentality, abuse of women, slavery, persecution of non-Muslims, and terrorism against peaceful civilians, from the alleged founder of the faith, Mohammed, down to the present day,” Baehr’s analysis said.

Baehr told WND he’s been working with the study of media impact on people for nearly four decades. Of thousands of studies, there has been only one – by a media organization – that concluded the media did not have an influence on children.

But that “influence” does not always manifest itself the same way, he said. For example, a study revealed that 1 in 4 children who watch R-rated movies started drinking earlier than children who did not.

A small percentage, he said, are very likely to be influenced toward the violence that is inherent in Islam – it’s admonitions to “kill infidels” and the like.

“Islam is a toxic religion, I will say that up front,” Baehr said. “It is a very negative religion toward people and especially women.”

The Family Security Matters commentary also suggested a darker side to the “heroes.”

“In the Islamic world, cartoons have a more sinister purpose. In Iran, on Al-Quds Day, Iranian TV schedules are filled with cartoons about evil Israelis with red eyes, shooting and murdering innocent doe-eyed Palestinians. For older kids, the heroes fight back, and even get martyred in the cause of Allah. Al-Quds day, named after the Arab term for Jerusalem and initiated by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1983, is a time for Iranian media to reinforce Holocaust denial and anti-Semitic propaganda,” it said.

The characters already are in comic books that come from Teshkeel Comics in Kuwait, a company that has worked with Marvel, DC and Archie comic companies.

“Not all kids [who watch] are going to become violent,” Baehr said, “It’s only if they have a susceptibility. This will become a pattern of behavior just like American converts to radical Islam in Detroit and Tennessee.

“This will appeal to a certain group who will become radicalized by watching this,” he said. “The problem with all of this … is that you cannot tell until it’s too late.”

WND previously has reported just exactly what Islamic television’s children’s programs feature.

Kids play at “jihad” in new Hamas television presentation

For example, the terror group Hamas’ Al-Aqsa Television has “martyred” a children’s bunny character named Assud and knocked off a Mickey Mouse-lookalike for the cause of jihad.

Also in a report documented by the Middle East Media Research Institute, it has been promoting jihad for children, or children for jihad.

In the musical clip, a children’s choir opens with: “Dad, we put on our new clothes. Give us our pocket money. Today is a holiday. … Me, my brother, and the neighborhood kids want to arm ourselves with guns.”

MEMRI explained that the message is an excerpt of a holiday video aired on Hamas Al-Aqsa Television on Sept. 8 called “Holiday Gun.” It was performed by Muhammad al-Madhoun and Ibrahim Sheikh Khalil.

World Exclusive: First Interview With Mario Sepulveda [Chilean Miner]

October 17, 2010 1 comment

Mario says his first instinct was to seek an escape route. ‘Some of the younger ones were in a bad way – hysterical – but I had to find a way out. The only thought that kept going through my head was that I didn’t want to die before my children had an education. It sounds like a crazy thought but that is so important to me.—He says:

‘The mine was swelteringly hot [around 92F, 33C]. We stripped down to our underwear. It was so humid you could not move without sweating.‘The air was so bad our eyes were burning the whole time. We were all coughing. It was like being in a filthy sauna where the air is full of dirt. We made beds by putting cardboard on the floor.‘The batteries in our helmet lights faded and then they went out completely on Day Three.’ The miners had a Nissan pick-up truck, a ‘scoop’ – a mechanical digger – a small cargo truck and another truck with a lift attached which is used to reach the roof. Mario says: ‘We used the vehicles for everything while we were down there. Some men slept in them, we used them to move stuff around and to explore the tunnels beneath us to look for any possible escape route going up.’

Neal Boortz: 17 days away from righting our wrongs Is Commicare™ a tax – or not?

October 17, 2010 1 comment

SNIP

Then we had companies like McDonald’s suggesting that they were going to drop their “mini-med” plans. Why? The mandated increases in benefits would be simply unaffordable.

Obama moved quickly to offer waivers to McDonald’s and why not? to some of his union pals. So much for the law applying to everyone equally. Now, 17 days before the election, we have a new poll provided to me by Fox News showing that 59 percent of Americans want ObamaCare either repealed or modified.

This is not good news for the Democrats who voted for this atrocity. The only Democrats you can find campaigning on ObamaCare are the ones who are pleading to their constituents, “Hey, I didn’t vote for that thing!” So much for The Community Organizer’s principal legislative achievement. Now we have a federal judge in Florida ruling that a lawsuit brought by the attorneys general of 20 states on the constitutionality of the mandate can go forward.

With any luck we’re looking at the beginning of the end of ObamaCare.By the way, regarding that federal lawsuit. When Obama was pushing his health care takeover, he told George Stephanopoulos that the mandate was just definitely and absolutely not a tax and was not a violation of his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans. But just how did the Obama administration argue in federal court that the mandate was constitutional? Why, they said it was a tax!

That one slipped by your radar screen, didn’t it?Well, you have 17 days to wait, and then you can make up for your lack of due diligence.

Oil change reignites debate over GPS trackers

SAN FRANCISCO

Yasir Afifi, a 20-year-old computer salesman and community college student, took his car in for an oil change earlier this month and his mechanic spotted an odd wire hanging from the undercarriage. The wire was attached to a strange magnetic device that puzzled Afifi and the mechanic.

They freed it from the car and posted images of it online, asking for help in identifying it.Two days later, FBI agents arrived at Afifi’s Santa Clara apartment and demanded the return of their property — a global positioning system tracking device now at the center of a raging legal debate over privacy rights.

One federal judge wrote that the widespread use of the device was straight out of George Orwell‘s novel, “1984″.

“By holding that this kind of surveillance doesn’t impair an individual’s reasonable expectation of privacy, the panel hands the government the power to track the movements of every one of us, every day of our lives,” wrote Alex Kozinski, the chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, in a blistering dissent in which a three-judge panel from his court ruled that search warrants weren’t necessary for GPS tracking.

But other federal and state courts have come to the opposite conclusion.Law enforcement advocates for the devices say GPS can eliminate time-consuming stakeouts and old-fashioned “tails” with unmarked police cars. The technology had a starring role in the HBO cops-and-robbers series “The Wire” and police use it to track every type of suspect — from terrorist to thieves stealing copper from air conditioners. That investigators don’t need a warrant to use GPS tracking devices in California troubles privacy advocates, technophiles, criminal defense attorneys and others.

Is Obama Just a Moron?

October 17, 2010 3 comments

How many recall the eight years of George W. Bush’s two terms in office during which he was constantly derided as being too dumb to be president? He was deemed “a frat boy” and yet Bush had graduated from Yale University and went onto to secure a master’s degree from Harvard Business School. When his grades were compared to Sen. John Kerry during his campaign for reelection, it turned out he had higher scores. We can’t compare Barack Obama’s grades to Bush or anyone else because they, along with his birth certificate, and indicators of his scholastic achievements have been hidden from public review.

This is not, however, a defense of Bush.

This is about a question that millions of Americans are beginning to ask.

Is Obama just a moron?….
