IRAN TV: ‘Obama unlikely to last his first term’

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

A US analyst says US President Barack Obama is unlikely to end his first term as there are serious efforts by American officials to remove him due to his incompetence.

“It is very doubtful at this time that he will last his first term,” Edward Spannaus of Executive Intelligence Review said in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday.”

There are people who are upset within the administration and the Democratic party who are seriously considering how to remove Obama from presidency,” Spannaus added.

Many of them put out all their calls for removing Obama under the amendment 25th of the US Constitution.

The amendment allows for the removal of the US president if he is incapacitated either physically or mentally.

Amazing video also shows city officials hurriedly leaving after South Tower collapse

An intriguing video has appeared on You Tube that appears to show a FDNY film crew being interviewed in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks by the the director of the FBI’s New York office, who has suspicions that one of the World Trade Center towers took a “secondary hit” before collapsing.

The video appears to be part of NIST’s recent FOIA releases and therefore has not been seen before now.

On first viewing it appears to be nothing special, just the horribly familiar scenes of dust and rubble from the aftermath of the attacks. However, it contains a stunning exchange between officials and firefighters.

The action appears to be taking place immediately after the collapse of the South tower and before the collapse of the North tower.

The film crew exits a building and make their way along the dust and debris littered streets.

At around 2 mins 50, a man in a suit approaches the crew and announces himself as “FBI, Barry Mawn.”

Mawn (pictured below with Rudy Giuliani) was at that time the director of the FBI’s New York office.

Mawn then asks the FDNY crew a question in the form of a statement – “That tower got a secondary hit?”

EXCLUSIVE: Uncovered 9/11 Footage Shows FBI Director Asking Firefighters About Secondary Hits On WTC 271010Mawn The firefighters respond by saying they are unsure but they heard a rumbling and ran for their lives as the tower then collapsed.

The audio is difficult to hear but one of the firefighters then says he “saw it blow right out the side of the building” to which Mawn asks “that was the plane right?”.

The firefighter then states “I don’t know if it was a plane or an explosion.”

As they continue their description of events the noise of a jet overhead interrupts them as people begin to panic. Someone, presumably another FBI agent shouts “is that ours?” to which Mawn replies “yeah that should be ours”.

At this point a large gathering of suited individuals walks into view and a woman in the group yells “go to city hall.”

Gunny G’s Marines History and Traditions: Anthony J. Drexel Biddle, USMC CQB Pioneer…

.Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle 1874-1948 was a pioneer of bayonet and hand-to-hand combat training in the US Marine Corps, and reading the New York Times February 15, 1942, one learns that:When the first World War started, Colonel Biddle opened a military training camp near Lansdowne [Pennsylvania], where he trained 4,000 young Philadelphians in military manoeuvres.

His system then, as now, was based on long hours of callisthenics and gymnastics to harden young bodies for the rigors of the advanced training. When he judged his charges ready for the more arduous training Colonel Biddle taught them the use of the machete, saber, dagger, bayonet, and hand grenade. He taught them also the techniques of jiu-jitsu and the French punch-and-kick man-killing attack known as savat [sic].

He was the first to give Gene Tunney, later to become heavyweight champion of the world, boxing lessons at Quantico [a US Marine base in Virginia].That said, it is my opinion that Biddle was primarily an enthusiastic promoter. As I wrote in Kronos 1900-1939:Biddle was a Philadelphia socialite who fancied himself a boxer, and in 1906 he began taking a first-rate professional boxer named “Philadelphia” Jack O’Brien on visits to Sunday School classes at Philadelphia’s Holy Trinity Church.

Founder of a movement called Athletic Christianity that eventually boasted 300,000 members, Biddle loved telling the children how Christ had been an athlete who “had gone into the jungle [sic] for forty days to train for a match with the Devil.”Biddle also hosted boxing teas at his home. His guests included many of the best white pugilists in the country. Although Biddle was not averse to sparring with black men, he was a man of his times, and would not invite one to eat at his table.

So, when Biddle sparred with Jack Johnson in Merchantville, New Jersey in 1909, he did so incognito, using the pseudonym “Tim O’Biddle.” According to his daughter’s account, Biddle came out fast, causing Johnson to tell him, “‘Now, you boy, there; don’t get yourself stirred up.’ But Father was always stirred up, and Johnson finally had to fetch him a smart whack on the side of the head to settle him.”

RI $7,500/per Person for Dinner With Obama Dinner With Obama Not Included

$7,500 Per Person for Dinner With Obama Dinner With Obama Not Included By Doug Powers • October 26, 2010 09:14 AM Written by Doug Powers Preparing to host a dinner for the President of the United States is a huge undertaking, as one wealthy Rhode Island woman discovered when she decided to host a $7,500 a seat DCCC fundraising dinner featuring Barack Obama.

In the days leading up to last night’s fundraising dinner, the Providence Journal outlined what was involved in serving the president: When President Obama sits down to dinner on Monday night in Providence, Rhode Island fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats and chocolates will be on the table. From community gardens to a vineyard, the state’s culinary community has grown to the point it can feed a president from its own backyard. As soon as Johnnie Chace knew she’d host the president for a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee at her home with husband Arnold “Buff” Chace, she followed one very local path to serve what she hopes is an amazing meal. “The first thing I thought was this is a great chance to showcase Rhode Island and focus on the hard-working people who bring us our food,” she said. Preparing the food for the $7,500-a-seat fundraiser are the chef/owners of the iconic Providence restaurant Al Forno, George Germon and Johanne Killeen.

They were to be out of town on Monday, but when Chace called them two weeks ago, they changed their plans to serve the president. The chefs should have kept their original plans, because the president dashed before dining: President Obama’s final stop was a $7,500-a-head fundraiser in the well-appointed home of Arnold “Buff” and Johnnie Chace on the East Side, not far from Brown University. The president spoke for about 20 minutes, then left before the dinnerof locally grown foods by celebrated Rhode Island chefs — including lobster risotto — that Mrs. Chace had planned. [...]

Mr. Obama concluded his remarks at about 7:30, saying he couldn’t stay for dinner. “I’ve got to go home to tuck in the girls and walk the dog and scoop the poop,” he said. There’s no greater compliment you can pay to chefs than by talking about dog s#t just before everybody eats and then skipping out on the meal they cancelled their prior engagements in order to serve you. But I’m sure Bo appreciated the contents of his doggie bag, and the Democrats appreciate the tens of thousands of dollars from which these fools and their money were soon parted. But it’s far from the first time that’s happened, so maybe they’re used to it.

AMBASSADOR JOHN BOLTON: A Stark Choice Between European Model Or the American Way

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Dramatic developments in Europe in the past few weeks have graphically demonstrated the importance of America’s upcoming November 2 elections.

Coming midway through President Obama’s term, there is little doubt these elections constitute a referendum on his philosophy, policies and performance.Any U.S. citizens who doubt the significance of their impending votes need only contemplate Europe to see the consequences of further pursuing the Obama agenda.

Riots in the streets recently greeted French President Sarkozy’s proposal to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62. Although starting with the trade unionists, university students soon joined, in “worker-student” demonstrations reminiscent of late 1960’s Europe.Just four years ago, France’s students rioted because they dreaded “précarité,” or insecurity concerning their employment prospects. They wanted guaranteed lifetime jobs, preferably in the public sector, rather than the indignity and “précarité” of pursue their own careers.

This past May, violent demonstrations in Greece reflected virulent opposition to cutbacks in welfare and other national subsidies, required because Greece’s profligate government spending, in violation of European Union “E.U.” fiscal rules, threatened the viability of the common European currency. Although fears for the Euro’s future have receded, the E.U.’s fundamental structural problems remain unresolved, so the risks of future instability remain still provoke sporadic outbursts of rioting in Athens.

Now, although France’s Senate approved changing the retirement age, the stability of Sarkozy’s government remains very much in question. Ironically, he came to office pledging far more sweeping, market-oriented changes in France’s economy. If he retreats on even minimal reforms like the retirement-age question, however, his entire presidency may end in failure. In the United Kingdom, Prime Minister David Cameron’s new government has just announced stringent budget cuts to reverse decades of massive deficit spending.

WILL ARIZONA INVOKE THE TENTH AMENDMENT AND DO SO?

by Don Hank

What will the state of Arizona do now?

Oct. 27, 2010 —

According to the insane anti-American criminally minded judges of the Ninth Circuit, Arizona laws requiring potential voters to present documentation for AZ elections are “illegal.”

Supposedly they discriminate against the poor who do not have drivers licenses.

All the potential voter now has to do is swear that he is a citizen under penalty of perjury. But since it is illegal to prove that he is lying, well, you know the rest.Friends, if this decision is allowed to stand, then citizens of other countries can argue that they are being discriminated against because they are “too poor” to travel to the US to vote in our elections.

By the logic of these insane America-hating judges, all human beings over a certain age can vote in US elections simply by swearing they are US citizens. They can go to a US embassy and vote there. No US embassy official would be allowed to ask for a passport. Passports cost money and many can’t afford them.

You see where this is taking us?

What these commies in the Ninth circuit are doing is enforcing the idea of equality for every human being on the planet: the right of every person on earth to vote in US elections.

The USA is finished if this stands.

Would a Beaten Obama Attack Iran?

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

10/26/10 By George Friedman

We are a week away from the 2010 U.S. midterm elections. The outcome is already locked in. Whether the Republicans take the House or the Senate is close to immaterial.

It is almost certain that the dynamics of American domestic politics will change. The large majority held by the Democrats will be gone, and party discipline will not be strong enough it never is to prevent some defections.Obama now has two options in terms of domestic strategy. The first is to continue to press his agenda, knowing that it will be voted down. If the domestic situation improves, he takes credit for it. If it doesn’t, he runs against Republican partisanship.

The second option is to abandon his agenda, cooperate with the Republicans and re-establish his image as a centrist. Both have political advantages and disadvantages and present an important strategic decision for Obama to make.

The Foreign Policy OptionObama also has a third option, which is to shift his focus from domestic policy to foreign policy. The founders created a system in which the president is inherently weak in domestic policy and able to take action only when his position in Congress is extremely strong. This was how the founders sought to avoid the tyranny of narrow majorities.

At the same time, they made the president quite powerful in foreign policy regardless of Congress, and the evolution of the presidency over the centuries has further strengthened this power.

Historically, when the president has been weak domestically, one option he has had is to appear powerful by focusing on foreign policy.

The Iranian OptionThis leaves the obvious choice: Iran. Iran is the one issue on which the president could galvanize public opinion.

Obama Calls His Critics “Enemies”

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the Democratic majority, President Obama is encouraging Hispanic voters to remain inspired by stalled immigration “reform” to vote against Republicans on Election Day.

More importantly, President Obama is inspiring his constituents to “punish our enemies and reward our friends,” encouraging a similar kind of “thugocracy” we have seen with labor unions.

In a radio interview that aired on Univision yesterday, Obama assured Hispanics that immigration overhaul was next on the agenda, despite the lack of Republican support:If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, “We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,” if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder, and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.

Draining the Swamp Starts on Tuesday ~ By Judi McLeod…

The Free World awaits the outcome of November 2, USA midterms. When We the People are taking stock of the fallen Dems the day after Election, we know where the two community activists currently renting the White House will be: They will have already cut and run to Mumbai, India.Licking their wounds, surrounded by sycophants among some 570 rooms of the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, fits hand in glove in the rule-by-spite cornerstone of the Obama Regime.

They will lob stones at the American electorate from far away as coward despots are wont to do.Yet it is in the removal of the hype from reality that a clear picture of where President Barack Obama really is, shows itself.

Obama is spiraling ever downward and has been for some time. Not even tyrants escape Father Time. All Obama really has to do to notice the passing of time is to look in the mirror at the grey threads in his own hair.Hype, Obama style, contends his greying hair comes from hard work. In truth, it comes from Father Time. We’re at the half way mark in the Life & Times of the most anti-American president ever elected. What has the 44th President of the USA accomplished in all that time? Loathing, job loss, home loss and food stamps.

But after the one thousand and one slaps in the face to little people everywhere delivered from abroad, America is still standing.Activists Barack and Michelle may act as though they don’t care about being relieved of Dem support courtesy of midterms, but it’s all part of their `Disappear Act’. Even buoyed up by sheer power as they are, they must realize that all the despots throughout history have come and have gone.

It is the common people and the times that get to write history and never jumped up, highhanded street activists like Barack and Michelle. The Washington Czar, Czarina and ‘60s Hippy Czars shepherding America toward death by socialism aren’t even close to original. Evil men and women before them have been trying for the better part of a century to take America down. This time they came forward on the world stage with a big break for all observers of freedom.

That’s because this time they crawled out of the dark and into the light. Their boldness now finds them skipping down the aisles of our mainstream churches. And just as the Big Apple will someday be rid of bedbugs, stink bugs and head lice, America will some day soon put the czars back where they belong: in the past…

The Tea Party – a threat to the status quo

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Rarely has the political differences dividing our country been so stark. Certainly, the antebellum period prior to the Civil War was such a time. The Civil War itself remaining a clear reminder of what happens when political policies and actions are taken to extremes.

Two very different interpretations of the 10th Amendment, protectionism of northern industry the Confederacy viewed as biased against southern agriculture, and a popular abolitionist movement in the north proved to be a volatile combination.

The rest is, well, history.

Please, no flames – I know the causes of the Civil War were more complex and varied. In the interest of space, I listed just a few.Today, there are political policies and actions that can be readily perceived as extreme.

Warning to my readers, I have chosen sides and this article will reflect those affections. Certainly, the liberal socialists currently in power in the United States of America will view any political action contrary to their socialist catechism as an “extreme movement”.

It’s in Alinski’s book. That’s why one can see pure vitriol reviling any conservative, or the tea party movement, spewing forth from Washington and their supporting media organs on any given day. The Republican Party, such as it is of late, has been tamed or bought off and is not esteemed by our liberal socialists as much of a threat.

But the tea party…The tea party represents a clear and present danger to all that Karl Marx holds dear. It is a focused, moving target, comprised of possibly thousands of sub-units acting in concert to abolish the socialist cancer that has started to metastasize into an inoperable state. The tea party is like chemotherapy or radiation in that regard. It is flowing through the American body politic via the Republican Party not because tea partiers hold the GOP in any particular esteem; the GOP is simply the path of least resistance.

The liberal socialists know it will be easier to catch wind in a bottle than to stop a grass roots movement by the masses of this magnitude. I’ll bet they are currently enduring a gut wrenching jealously that such a populist movement, which reminds some of them of their heady anti-war days during the 1960s, is not fueled by socialist revolutionary zeal. The perception of these liberal socialists can become a significant problem when considered within the template of their primary world view – “that if only everyone could see the end result of their work…the beauty of their new world socialist worker’s utopia.

Then they would understand and agree that any means necessarily employed along the way was well worth it.” I don’t know about you, but that frightens me.

What will such an animal do when faced with extinction?

Hide? Fight? Kill?..

Terrorist Ayers Endorses Stewart/Colbert Rallies as does Ayers ally Obama

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

When comics Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced their rallies on the national mall scheduled for this Saturday, they may not have expected—or wanted—an endorsement from Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers. But Ayers told the Ford Motor Company-sponsored Green Festival in Washington, D.C. last Saturday that the event will be a needed respite from the “Alice in Wonderland” world of military domination of the planet and wars waged by the U.S. “empire.”The October 30 Stewart/Colbert rallies, dubbed “Restore Sanity” and “Keep Fear Alive,” are “worth attending,” Ayers said.Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dohrn, once labeled a “violent maniac” by a former gang member in congressional testimony, turned deadly serious at the Green Fest in declaring that the U.S. was no longer a “hegemonic power” because of its economic decline but that its military strength was still a major problem in the world.

Sounding as anti-American as ever, Dohrn and Ayers complained about U.S. military aid to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Israel, and U.S. backing for “repressive” regimes.

THE wave will bring big changes in state legislatures and political landscapes for a generation

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

How big is THE wave?

It looks like the Republicans can now actually win one or both of the Houses of the Alabama legislature.

Alabama is now controlled by Democrats with a 5 seat advantage in her Senate and a 15 seat advantage in its lower chamber, yet a new report from the National Conference of State Legislatures indicates both of those margins are about to vanish.Observers are also looking for control to change hands in the New Hampshire and New York State Senates.

Given the general conditions in New York where the Census numbers will reduce the number of Congressional seats by at least two and Democrats could lose eleven seats, the one third GOP share of the redistricting process this win would provide is very valuable.

In Indiana Ohio and Pennsylvania Republicans are on their way to taking control of the House and in Wisconsin, led by Ron Johnson big victory over Russ Feingold, both chambers plus the Governor’s seat are expected to be in GOP control next January.

The resultant changes in Congressional districts In Ohio the stars seem to be aligning for a redistricting done solely by Republicans as Democrats sit by and wait to see how badly they have fared. Gaining total control of Ohio has been a potent GOP weapon in presidential years. In 2000 and 2004 it helped elect George Bush and when that total power unraveled under the weight of major scandals in 2006 it gave a big boost to Barack Obama.

A Democrat candle in the wind?In apparent disregard for the currents that are moving the political landscape Democrats are looking toward Texas… more..

ELECTION IS REFERENDUM ON DEMOCRATS

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

This election is a referendum. All up and down the ballot. After all is said and done, next Tuesday is a thumbs up or a thumbs down. The issue is Obama and the Democratic control of Washington.

It’s Obama and Pelosi and Reid and the bailout and the health care and everything else they’ve forced on our country. If you like what they’ve done, if you want more, vote for Democrats. If you don’t, if you’ve had enough, vote for Republicans.

All up and down the ballot.Every Democrat is a supporter and facilitator of the Obama regime. They are all part of the same cloth. And they are either the solution or they are the problem. Either way, the choice is clear. Follow Obama and vote Democrat, or rein in Obama and vote Republican. That’s how our system works. Candidates and parties put forward their ideas and objectives and the people decide whether or not to support them. Two years ago, the country decided to support the Obama Democrats. But after an election, it’s accountability time.

A successful candidate or party puts their ideas and objectives into practice and the people get to vote on whether or not they like it.That’s where we are now.The Democrats have controlled every square inch of our federal government for two years. Barack Obama has had a free hand to do what he wanted to do, to govern as he wanted to govern. The same is true of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. We can judge them by their fruit.

They have controlled the agenda, they have commanded the nation, they have taken over the government. And this is the referendum.Do we like it, or not? Do we want more Obama-Pelosi-Reid, or don’t we?It’s a simple choice. All those who are pleased with the direction of the country, vote Democratic. All those who aren’t, vote Republican. That’s how the system works. That’s what this election is about. And anybody who tells you any different is just a Democrat trying to confuse you.

Seriously. Those who want to recast the meaning of this election are those who are hoping to escape the accountability of this election. They are hoping to avoid the consequences of what they have done. They hope to get off scott free.

Blame the Electorate, Not Congress, For America’s Woes

October 27, 2010 2 comments

Even though Charlie Reese retired over two years ago as a syndicated columnist, several of his columns continue to orbit cyberspace. Not too long ago one of Reese’s pieces landed in my e-mail box for the umpteenth time. In his widely-distributed article originally titled “Looking For Someone To Blame? Congress Is Good Place To Start” and then more than twenty years later revised and titled “The 545 People Responsible for America’s Woes,” Reese blames America’s domestic woes on its 100 senators, 435 congressmen, 1 president, and 9 Supreme Court justices.

The self-described traditional conservative with libertarian leanings is currently a registered Democrat. Reese had been a registered Republican until George W. Bush invaded Iraq; then in 2004, he shifted his support to John Kerry. The flighty Reese started out as a Democrat but became a Republican shortly after John F. Kennedy took office. He returned to the Democrat Party once again when the Republicans nominated George H. W. Bush.Reese’s contention that the members of America’s three branches of government are to be blamed for her domestic woes is as well thought out as his party leanings.

America’s politicians and jurists are symptomatic of a much larger problem—an ignorant, indifferent electorate who doesn’t know an informed opinion from barroom bigotry and barbershop bull. The Congress and the President are elected by the people, and they serve at the people’s discretion. They are elected to office to represent constituents’ wants and needs from districts, states, and country in the nation’s government.

Some of America’s most dishonest, deceitful politicians have been reelected to office time and again by their constituents, which suggests that if the politicians are lacking in honor and moral integrity, so too are the people who keep electing them as their representatives. In a letter to the Massachusetts Militia, John Adams echoed a similar sentiment when he s…

The Propositions 106 amends Arizona Constitution to block any rules mandating Commiecare™

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Proposition 106Proposition 106 would amend the Arizona Constitution to block any rules mandating participation in a health care system. It purports to ensure that Arizona residents have the right to enroll in a private health care system. In reality, the chief goal of Prop. 106 is to undermine federal law, in particular H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, better known by the pejorative “Obamacare.”

However, anyone with a basic knowledge of civics understands that states cannot override federal law; this attempt to do so is costly, pointless and embarrassing for Arizona. In a time when Arizona has had to repeatedly balance its budget by slashing social programs, more or less inviting a federal lawsuit would be financially irresponsible. The proposition is a rash knee-jerk reaction to an unpopular federal measure and nothing more.In addition, universal public health care would greatly benefit Arizona citizens. Arizona has one of the highest percentages of uninsured people in the nation, particularly uninsured children.

Those people have the right to health care, but can’t afford it. Plus, even those who can currently afford private health insurance would benefit from H.R. 3962, as reducing the number of people who receive health care they can’t pay for would drive down health care costs across the board.Because it’s a costly, irresponsible waste of time and would hurt, rather than help, Arizona citizens, vote NO on Proposition 106.

Alien Abductee Creates Cosmic Coffee Table Book

It is unknown whether extraterrestrials have coffee tables, but thanks to a woman who claims to be an alien abductee, they will at least be able to have a coffee table book.Kim Carlsberg, who has worked as a photographer for publications like Rolling Stone and as a camera person on shows like “Baywatch,” is now the author of “The Art of Close Encounters,” a coffee table book that features 150 illustrations made by alleged abductees describing their experiences.

For instance, one contributor submitted a picture depicting a room inside an alien spacecraft where Carlsberg says ETs submit humans to intense examinations.”This picture came in at the last minute and it was unfinished, but it was one of the most important that I’ve seen in my life as an abductee,” Carlsberg told AOL News. “It basically depicts a room where aliens — who look like anorexic Pillsbury Doughboys — do things to humans that I thought would leave them dead.”I remember being in this room, feeling paralyzed next to an ex-boyfriend who was also paralyzed and another woman who I couldn’t see, but who I knew was a makeup artist.

I remember seeing the picture and thinking, ‘Finally, someone has seen what I saw.’ “

DID THIS WELL-KNOWN SOCIALIST HELP TO INVENT A HISTORY FOR OBAMA?

by Miki Booth

Zbigniew Brzezinski was born in Poland, the son of a diplomat who was stationed in both the Soviet Union and Germany prior to World War II

***

(Oct. 26, 2010) — The evidence is all there for anyone to see if they take the time to look. Zbigniew Brzezinski has “spoon-fed” Obama ever since he took him under his wing from Occidental College in 1980, apprenticed him through his first job in Pakistan and Afghanistan to his second job at Business International Corp. and ultimately, by manufacturing a background, faking his academic credentials and resume’, to the top job in America.

Brzezinsky was National Security Advisor to Jimmy Carter from 1977-1981 and a  professor at Columbia University 1960-1989 where he taught at the Institute of Communist Affairs. He’s a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, trustee of the Trilateral Commission and has attended Bilderberg meetings. He’s still a predominant presence in Obama’s “inner sanctum” and conveniently located near the White House at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies where he’s Professor of American Foreign Policy.

Obama cannot be questioned about any of this because, “It’s a matter of national security.” No one will talk about the fake birth certificate because, “It’s a matter of national security.” There is no attempt to investigate his stolen social security number, originally issued in CT, because “It’s a matter of national security.”

Randy Quaid, wife claim Canada asylum, say fear for lives

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

American actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi will Thursday claim asylum in Canada, saying they fled here in fear of their lives to escape a group they have dubbed the “Hollywood Star Whackers.

“The couple’s claim for asylum will be heard by the immigration and refugee board following their arrest in the western port city of Vancouver last week.”The hearing will look at whether they can remain in Canada,” board spokeswoman Melissa Anderson told AFP.

The couple claims they are at risk of being murdered by shadowy villains who they charge are killing American celebrities.”We are requesting asylum from Hollywood Star Whackers,” said a note signed by the couple shown to the media by a lawyer after a first hearing on Friday.”Hollywood is murdering its movie stars for ad sales,” Evi Quaid told reporters as she left the hearing. “Heath Ledger was murdered,” she alleged. But Canadian border officials, who say the couple are fugitives from justice, are expected to argue before the independent board that they are not eligible for refugee status and should be deported to face outstanding charges in the United States.

Quaid, 60, who starred in such films as “Brokeback Mountain,” “Independence Day” and the National Lampoon series, and his wife claimed refugee status after local police arrested them on October 21, on warrants issued by a US court.Several American news sites reported the Quaids face charges related to illegally squatting in a US home that they used to own.Australian actor Ledger died in early 2008 while working on the Batman blockbuster “The Dark Knight” after an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, according to the findings of a coroner’s inquest. He had worked with Quaid, the brother of US actor Dennis Quaid, on “Brokeback Mountain.”

Video released by conservative activist claims to show undercover footage at NJEA conference

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Conservative activist James O’Keefe has released a video — titled “Teachers unions gone wild” — claiming to show undercover footage from a New Jersey Education Association leadership conference at the East Brunswick Hilton hotel. The video shows people identified as teachers playing arcade games on “their dime,” chanting about kicking Gov. Chris Christie “in the toolbox,” and talking about how hard it is to fire a tenured teacher.

NJEA spokesman Steve Baker said O’Keefe is “completely and utterly discredited.”"It’s James O’Keefe and that’s all you need to know,” Baker said, citing O’Keefe’s legal troubles in the past.”I’m sure he sent people into the conference,” Baker said, but added O’Keefe dubbed the video and audio afterward.O’Keefe told the Asbury Park Press he used “citizen journalists” to record conversations with teachers. The citizen journalists also played acting roles, according to APP.com.”He admits that he uses actors to supply some of the lines,” Baker said.O’Keefe pleaded guilty in May to misdemeanor charges after entering the offices of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu while posing as telephone repairmen.

The 26-year-old grew up in Bergen County and attended Rutgers University.

Potentially “Hundreds Of Thousands” Of Mail Voters Disenfranchised

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

This year marks the first Illinois election that any registered voter can cast their ballot by mail, no excuses necessary.

Even as the deadline for those ballots to be postmarked nears, problems are brewing. An Illinois county election official is telling the ABC 7 I-Team that thousands — potentially hundreds of thousands — of voters who are expecting a ballot sent to them by mail may be disenfranchised.Chicagoan Rosia Carter is one of 404,000 registered Illinois voters who recently received vote-by-mail requests that were sent by the Illinois Democratic Coordinated Campaign.

“By the time I filled it out and sent it in, my vote would not get counted,” Carter said. She and others called the I-Team when they noticed the return address is not their local election official but instead a PO box for the organization. IDCC officials claim they are entering ballot request information into their own database before sending the mailings on to election authorities who then mail voters the ballot.

Police Officers FIRED for being TEA Party Members

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Before It’s NewsOct 27, 2010

Today I received a plea for help from the Tawakoni Area TEA Party.

They have a Mayor that is out of control and hates the TEA Party too.

He has fired 2 long time officers for no other apparent reason than the simple fact that they belong to the local TEA Party chapter.West Tawakoni is a small town in East Texas, they don’t have a lot of TEA Party members and I am not sure how well connected to the media they are, but I know how connected I am, and I know that I have friends in the powerful, and LARGE Dallas TEA Party.

I an certain that they will want to get involved in this. This has been sent to Drudge, Breitbart, FOX and Friends, several local media here in the Dallas area, but I can’t stress this enough, the MEDIA needs to get ALL OVER this one. If you have ANY contacts in the media, send this to them.

The media, and most of Conservative America got their knickers in a twist over Juan Williams being fired by NPR, a case that was, in MY opinion, a libber reaping what he had sown, but if Conservative America can get involved and outraged over that, what will their reaction to this be?I sincerely hope it’s not one of apathy.

Please, feel free to forward this to your email list and to ALL media that you may have contact with! It is that important! From Lake Tawakoni Area TEA Party News

Pa. Oath Keeper president seeks Carbon sheriff post rs

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

The president of the Oath Keepers organization’s Pennsylvania chapter wants to be the next sheriff of Carbon County.Steven Armbruster last year received national recognition from Oath Keepers as “Peace Officer of the Year.

“Armbruster describes himself as 20-year veteran of law enforcement with some experience as a Lehigh County deputy sheriff, a police officer in Emmaus borough and service with the military police. He currently is a police corporal employed by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education as part of campus security at Kutztown University.

Armbruster said he is running as Republican but calls himself a freedom activist and will campaign as a constitutional sheriff. He currently holds instructorship in National Rifle Association firearms instruction, defensive tactics and taser instruction. He was named “Peace Officer of the Year” for his defense of the U.S. Constitution regarding an incident on the Kutztown campus involving a group of Christians who were peacefully engaged in constitutionally protected activities.Carbon County Sheriff Dwight Nothstein, a Democrat who said he will seek re-election, describes Oath Keepers as a “radical” group that is “off the wall” and connected to the tea party movement.”They preach the U.S. Constitution while disobeying court orders and the law while following their interpretation of the Constitution,” Nothstein said.

“Most people don’t take them too seriously,” he added.Nothstein pledged “to protect the rights of the people, work hard and do what I am supposed to do to keep people safe.”Armbruster also promises to protect the citizens of Carbon County from what he calls the gradual encroachment of excess governmental power.According to Armbruster, the county sheriff represents the nation’s last line of defense and has the authority, the power and duty to end “venal and oppressive government to preserve fundamental and individual liberty…”

What we know about Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Apple’s new Lion OS will be leaner, keener and meaner than ever; it will teach Mac users a whole new touch-based way to interface with their computer, and borrows heavily from elements of Apple’s also NeXT-based iOS system for mobile devices.

Jobs explained that touch interfaces don’t feel right in a vertical plane — you don’t want to touch your iMac‘s screen — this means trackpads and the Magic Mouse are the interfaces for the future iOS/OS X integration at least at present — for the future, who knows? In future it isn’t hard to imagine touch controls evolving to become gesture-based using the iSight now FaceTime cameras inside most Macs, but that’s some way down the line. Minority Report isn’t here yet.Promising a “ton of new features”, Jobs observed, “Lion brings many of the best ideas from iPad back to the Mac, plus some fresh new ones like Mission Control that Mac users will really like,.

“So, what do we know about the new operating system that will power ever more substantial chunks of the PC industry?

The Hayseed Rebellion by James P. Gannon

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

One of the most striking things about this year’s political discourse as if name-calling and wild accusations can be dignified with such a term is that what used to be considered traditional and commonplace thinking is now labeled as extremism and bigotry.

A few examples:If you believe that the U.S. Constitution means only what it actually says, you are an extremist who ought to be wearing a powdered wig.If you believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman, you are a homophobe and a bigot.

If you think people should not be allowed to break into our country illegally, then get free education, health care and jobs and to march in our streets to protest the violation of their “rights,” you are a racist, a xenophobe, and your state should be boycotted.

If you have misgivings about the morality of abortion, or any doubts about the absolute right of a mother to kill her unborn child, you are a religious fanatic, an anti-feminist, and probably a right-wing Catholic. If you admit to having some queasy feeling when boarding an airplane with people dressed in Muslim garb – you are not only a bigot but you are FIRED – if you work for National Public Radio or probably any other institution aligned with the cultural/political Left in this country.

If you watch Fox News, you are a freakin’ @#XX!&mf2!!!If you doubt any of the above is true, a close look at the TV commercials being run by the likes of Sen. Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray or many of the other endangered Democratic incumbents running scared this election year will prove my point.

Anyone who does not totally buy into the “progressive” agenda and orthodoxy of politically correct, left-leaning Democratic Party is, by definition, “extreme” if not outright bigoted or “crazy” as Reid has labeled his opponent, Sharron Angle

Glorious War! by Joseph Sobran

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Most observers are predicting a rout of the Republicans in this fall’s elections. Some think the Democrats can even recapture both houses of Congress.I hope so. Oh, how I hope so. May the Republicans perish forever.

May vultures gobble their entrails. May their name be blotted out. In short, may they lose their shirts in November.

Yes, I’m disillusioned with the GOP. It was bad enough when I thought they were unprincipled. Now, however, it’s worse, because they do have a principle after all: war.

Two Bush administrations have proved that. War on Panama, war on Iraq, war on “terror,” war on Afghanistan, war on Iraq again, and war on Iran, comin’ up. And of course the recent Israeli war on Lebanon was waged with George W. Bush’s complicity.

Am I leaving anything out? Oh yes, his father’s war on “drugs”; but let’s not even count that one.Next to the violence of war, I hate the philosophical fallout.

This Bush administration has managed to pervert the meaning of conservatism: in most Americans’ minds, for the next generation, the word will mean, above all, militarism.

Not that this is wholly new. Goldwater conservatives supported the Vietnam war, originally a liberal project, even complaining that it wasn’t being waged with enough force. They began sneering at “peaceniks,” then equating peace with liberalism and war with patriotism and automatically favoring huge military budgets.

Lyndon Johnson’s war soon became “Nixon’s war,” and the anti-war George McGovern redefined the Democratic Party.By the Reagan years the old lines were redrawn. Quite a change from the days when Democrats wanted war on fascism and Republicans were accused of “isolationism” for preferring peace. Does anyone remember Robert Taft?By identifying the conservative cause with war, the Republicans have given liberalism the finest gift they could possibly have bestowed on it.

The popularity of war is intense but brief. Americans will support quick and victorious wars, but after a few months the thrill tends to wear off.As late as 1976 grouchy Bob Dole, a bitter World War II vet, could still take a swat at “Democrat wars,” but the phrase sounded quaint. The amnesiac American public thought it was a contradiction in terms. When had the Democrats ever wanted war?

If We Quit Voting by Frank Chodorov

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

This essay originally appeared in July 1945 in a monthly newsletter Chodorov established called analysis.

It later appeared as a chapter in his book Out of Step: The Autobiography of an Individualist 1962.

New York in midsummer is measurably more miserable than any other place in this world – and should be comparable to the world for which all planners are headed. Why New Yorkers, otherwise sane, should choose to parboil their innards in a political campaign during this time of the year is a question that comes under the head of man’s inscrutable propensity for self-punishment. And if a fellow elects to let the whole thing pass him by, some socially conscious energumen is bound to sweat him with a lecture on civic duty, like the citizeness who came at me.For 25 years my dereliction has been known to my friends, and more than one has undertaken to set me straight; out of these arguments came a solid defense for my nonvoting position, so that the lady in question was well parried with practiced retorts.

I pointed out, with many instances, that though we have had candidates and platforms and parties and campaigns in abundance, we have had an equivalent plenitude of poverty and crime and war. The regularity with which the perennial promise of “good times” wound up in depression suggested the incompetence of politics in economic affairs. Maybe the good society we have been voting for lay some other way; why not try another fork in the road, the one pointing to individual self-improvement, particularly in acquiring a knowledge of economics?

And so on.There was one question put to me by my charming annoyer that I deftly sidestepped, for the day was sultry and the answer called for some mental effort. The question: “What would happen if we quit voting?”If you are curious about the result of noneating you come upon the question of why we eat. So, the query put to me by the lady brings up the reason for voting.

The theory of government by elected representatives is that these fellows are hired by the voting citizenry to take care of all matters relating to their common interests. However, it is different from ordinary employment in that the representative is not under specific orders, but is given blanket authority to do what he believes desirable for the public welfare in any and all circumstances, subject to constitutional limitations. In all matters relating to public affairs the will of the individual is transferred to the elected agent, whose responsibility is commensurate with the power thus invested in him…

Cliff Kincaid — Terrorist Ayers Endorses Stewart/Colbert Rallies

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

When comics Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced their rallies on the national mall scheduled for this Saturday, they may not have expected—or wanted—an endorsement from Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers.

But Ayers told the Ford Motor Company-sponsored Green Festival in Washington, D.C. last Saturday that the event will be a needed respite from the “Alice in Wonderland” world of military domination of the planet and wars waged by the U.S. “empire.”The October 30 Stewart/Colbert rallies, dubbed “Restore Sanity” and “Keep Fear Alive,” are “worth attending,” Ayers said.

Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dohrn, once labeled a “violent maniac” by a former gang member in congressional testimony, turned deadly serious at the Green Fest in declaring that the U.S. was no longer a “hegemonic power” because of its economic decline but that its military strength was still a major problem in the world.Sounding as anti-American as ever, Dohrn and Ayers complained about U.S. military aid to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Israel, and U.S. backing for “repressive” regimes.

Ayers, who is retiring as an education professor for the University of Illinois, encouraged the audience to focus on “community power,” such as what they can accomplish in “the classroom.” He said, “This is the only power we have access to.”At the sparsely-attended event, Ayers declared that “education is a human right” and put his faith in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.Offering something for the “Green Americans” in attendance, Dohrn said that Americans have to learn to “live differently.”Appearing together on stage in a talk show format, the efforts by Ayers and Dohrn to gin up the crowd mostly fell flat, in part because the acoustics in a location in the Washington Convention Center made it difficult for many to hear what was actually being said.

Even Ayers complained about an inability to hear the questions. However, questions from this columnist about their communist terrorist backgrounds were heard clearly and denounced by Dohrn as a “pack of lies.” The questions concerned Dohrn’s praise of the Manson Family murders and a book they wrote that was dedicated in part to Sirhan Sirhan, the assassin of anti-Vietnam War candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

Dohrn griped that they have become “pawns” against their old friend and associate, President Obama, and that critics of Obama have been trying to depict them as “insane” and “murderers.”

JB Williams — In America: Communist, Socialist, Progressive = Democrat

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

While every Democrat voter is not a communist yet, almost every Democrat politician is – certainly every party leader. So, why are we still pretending that there is some kind of nuanced difference between today’s Democrat Party and today’s Communists?

JFK would be no more welcome in today’s DNC than Juan Williams is at NPR.

Yes, the Soviet Union fell in the 1980s thanks to Ronald Reagan breaking their bank in the arms race. Cuba, the last standing Soviet-styled communist nation, is forced lay off a million public sector employees because their bank is bust, too.

Red China is on the rise, however, and Democrats have long ago introduced Marx into every facet of American society. As Democratic Socialist of America National Director Frank Llewellyn states in his latest missive to his socialist comrades,

“There are just 8 days until the election: This is not a time when progressives can stand on the sidelines.”Note that Llewellyn did not refer to his comrades as communists, socialists or Marxists, all of which would be accurate. He referred to his comrades as “progressives.”

That’s because today’s hardcore leftist is no longer considered hardcore left, but rather “progressive.”Obama – Pelosi – Reid – Frank – Biden – Clinton – Dodd and every other Democrat politician is proud to proclaim openly the title of progressive. None of them is in the closet anymore. Bernie Sanders, a long-time card carrying Socialist, heads up the “progressive caucus” and John Conyers, a long-time card carrying Communist, formed the Black Caucus, which is not focused on Black issues, but rather the communist agenda.

Both are legislative bodies under the direction of the Democratic Socialists of America. Before Obama was repackaged as a moderate Democrat from Hawaii to become a shoe-in Senate candidate from Illinois, he was first a failed third party candidate of the New Party, a temporary front org for the Communist Party USA. But what’s in a title?DSAUSA Director Frank Llewellyn warns his progressive comrades:“Frankly the stakes could not be higher. A Republican takeover of the House of Representatives or the Senate would put an end to any chance of meaningful reform until after the 2012 election.

Moreover the limited gains of the last two years would be put at risk. Republicans have made it perfectly clear that their primary goal is to repeal all of the legislation –from health care reform to student loan reform to the modest reforms that were intended to rein in the Wall Street speculators who were the primary cause of the economic crisis that we still suffer from today– that the current congress passed and the president signed into law.”

Trying to Build Consensus or Make Republicans “Ride in the Back?” No Obama, we’re kicking you out

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

With less than a week before the midterm elections President Obama is in full campaign mode, supporting his fellow Democrats and plunking down political red meat at rallies across the country. In recent stump speeches Mr. Obama has said, “We don’t mind the Republicans joining us.

They can come for the ride, but they’ve got to sit in back.”It’s widely expected that Republicans will make major gains in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, leaving Mr. Obama in a tough situation.“I think the president is in some ways caught in a trap that’s partially of his own making,” said James Sample of the Cato Institute.

“He’s lost the independents, he’s lost whatever conservative support he has. So the public face as we go into the election has to be one that has to get committed Democrats out to vote… so it’s a run against Republicans.”Read more: http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/10/26/president-obama-trying-build-consensus-or-make-republicans-ride-back#ixzz13YPBh5ys

Fraudulent Voting Re-emerges as a Partisan Issue Scare tactic to suppress minorities alert

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

In 2006, conservative activists repeatedly claimed that the problem of people casting fraudulent votes was so widespread that it was corrupting the political process and possibly costing their candidates victories.

The accusations turned out to be largely false, but they led to a heated debate, with voting rights groups claiming that the accusations were crippling voter registration drives and reducing turnout. That debate is flaring anew.Tea Party members have started challenging voter registration applications and have announced plans to question individual voters at the polls whom they suspect of being ineligible.

In response, liberal groups and voting rights advocates are sounding an alarm, claiming that such strategies are scare tactics intended to suppress minority and poor voters.[Snip]Voting rights advocates say they are worried.“Private efforts to police the polls create a real risk of vote suppression, regardless of their intent,” said Wendy R. Weiser, director of the Voting Rights and Elections Project at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University. “People need to know that any form of discrimination, intimidation or challenge to voters without adequate basis is illegal or improper.”[Snip]About 43 percent fewer new voters have registered in Wisconsin this year than in 2006, while in Indiana, the decrease has been about 35 percent.

Significant drops have also been seen in Ohio 25 percent, North Carolina 28 percent, Florida 27 percent and Maryland 21 percent, according to state election data collected by the Brennan Center.

Ariz. Law Requiring Voters Prove Citizenship Is Struck Down

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

PHOENIX — A federal appeals court on Tuesday struck down a key part of Arizona’s law requiring voters to prove they are citizens before registering to vote and to show identification before casting ballots.

The decision by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the law requiring voters to prove their citizenship while registering is inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act.

That federal law allows voters to fill out a mail-in voter registration card and swear they are citizens under penalty of perjury, but doesn’t require them to show proof as Arizona’s law does.

Aide fired over Florida debate foul Another cheating, lying Democrat

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

A campaign aide to Florida gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink has been removed after the Democratic nominee was sent a text message during a televised debate — in violation of the rules that the candidates agreed to.Sink’s campaign did not name the advisor.

But a campaign spokesman confirmed it was Brian May, who signed the rules agreement before the Monday evening debate. The incident took place at the CNN/St. Petersburg Times Florida gubernatorial debate when Sink’s make-up artist delivered a two-sentence message on a cell phone during a break.

Republican nominee Rick Scott, who was sitting next to Sink in the nationally televised debate, noticed the violation and notified a CNN official. The CNN official approached the make-up artist and Sink, and confiscated the cell phone.

Election Fraud Worries Already Rampant: Widespread Reports Of Machines Flipping Votes

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Why are problems encountered in ‘06 and ‘08 still occurring in 2010?

Steve WatsonPrisonplanet.comTuesday, Oct 26th, 2010Significant errors with voting machines have already begun to surface across the country, prompting fears that fraud could once again be a deciding factor in the elections this November.

Fox News 5 reports that voters in Boulder City, Las Vegas have already experienced dubious errors with the machines.“Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.” the report states. The incident was not an isolated one, with several voters encountering the same problem within minutes of each other.Officials blamed the malfunctions on the machine’s “sensitive” screens and discounted any notion of fraud.Similar problems have also been reported in North Carolina. With rumours of voting problems in several counties.

The New Bern Sun Journal reports:“Sam Laughinghouse of New Bern said he pushed the button to vote Republican in all races, but the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. He cleared the screen and tried again with the same result, he said. Then he asked for and received help from election staff.”“They pushed it twice and the same thing happened,” Laughinghouse said. “That was four times in a row. The fifth time they pushed it and the Republicans came up and I voted.

”In this instance officials said that the machine needed to be “re-calibrated”. This error seems to be somewhat common, however, the machines do not display an error message when they need to be calibrated, the simply complete ballots for the opposite party.

The exact same problem was also reported late last week in Dallas, where computer programmer Don Relyea took the initiative to record a video of the incident. Relyea, attempted to vote for Gov. Rick Perry, yet his choice morphed into a straight-ticket Green Party vote.

A Dallas election official threatened to investigate Relyea, saying that any video taping in an election booth is illegal, and

the Youtube video has since been made private.

Maybe it time for this..a NATION–WIDE “fraud alert center” vanity.

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

We are hearing it all over..election fraud. Nevada. Arizona. Illinois. Colorado even Florida.

Votes already coming up for the Dems, not being delivered, not registering right, military votes not being mailed.

There is NO doubt that the demons pan to STEAL this election!!

SO, perhaps, we at FR should come up with some kind of “one size fits all” calling center or such, where ANYONE form ANY state, can report FRAUD.

Now I DO mean REAL fraud, not just “rumors” cause if we are to have any credibility…it has to be verifiable.

Things like I mentioned before, along with “bought votes”, intimidation, illegal voters and the like. Sure…we COULD rely on the “normal channels” like usual…but, since it is CONSERVATIVES who are being defrauded…

it will likely just “fall through the cracks”, like the last couple of times, and then we will hear things like..”The election is over…the people have spoken…accept it and move on”, from the demons– like the last couple of times–when MANY races got stolen..

I do not know what that would take–and of COURSE, SOMEONE with some “pull” who could NOT be “ignored”–by either the MSM or the “powers that be”–would have to be involved–who could make SURE that EVERY case–and every VOTE–got investigated and COUNTED–for REAL!!

Even if it ties things up for moths…it WOULD be WORTH IT!!Perhaps some name like “TeaParty for truth in elections”, would work.

And some “1-800″ type # to call and then–someone to MAKE SURE –things got taken care of!!

Maybe something like this already exists. I hope so, but if not, hopefully there is still time to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Seeking Proof in Near-Death Claims 18 Hospitals to study mystery of near-death experiences

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

At 18 hospitals in the U.S. and U.K., researchers have suspended pictures, face up, from the ceilings in emergency-care areas. The reason: to test whether patients brought back to life after cardiac arrest can recall seeing the images during an out-of-body experience.

People who have these near-death experiences often describe leaving their bodies and watching themselves being resuscitated from above, but verifying such accounts is difficult.

The images would be visible only to people who had done that.”We’ve added these images as objective markers,” says Sam Parnia, a critical-care physician and lead investigator of the study, which hopes to include 1,500 resuscitated patients. Dr. Parnia declined to say whether any have accurately described the images so far, but says he hopes to report preliminary results next year. The study, coordinated by Southampton University‘s School of Medicine in England, is one of the latest and largest scientific efforts to understand the mystery of near-death experiences. At least 15 million American adults say they have had a near-death experience, according to a 1997 survey—and the number is thought to be rising with increasingly sophisticated resuscitation techniques. In addition to floating above their bodies, people often describe moving down a dark tunnel toward a bright light, feeling intense peace and joy, reviewing life events and seeing long-deceased relatives—only to be told that it’s not time yet and land abruptly back in an ailing body.

The once-taboo topic is getting a lot of talk these days. In the new movie “Hereafter,” directed by Clint Eastwood, a French journalist is haunted by what she experienced while nearly drowning in a tsunami.

Yet the fundamental debate rages on: Are these glimpses of an afterlife, are they hallucinations or are they the random firings of an oxygen-starved brain?

White House Insider: “President Obama is lost. Absolutely lost.”

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Just tell me about this scandal. Leans back, folds arms across chest. Looks outside – then back to me Ok then – I’ll point your nose in the right direction. Enough people are sniffing in the same garbage pile anyways, including the Times.

Though I suspect they are burying it at the moment, or trying to. They are still heavily invested in Obama, but that may change soon… Go back to Chicago. That is the key.

There is other crap around the White House, other things that could trip them up, but Chicago is where the real heavy deal is that could bring the administration down.

Go back and review Blagojevich. Go back and review Rezko, Barton, Stern, Giordano, Carothers, Jarret. It’s one and the same.

It’s all connected, and it’s big.

And people know. The White House is -expletive- itself over this stuff. Pelosi has it. Clintons have it – more of it than they had in 2008.Interrupts What do you mean “have it”? The information – the story. At least some of it, enough of it.

It’s all a chess match you know. A series of moves. Right now the White House is scrambling, and they don’t know enemies from friends anymore. The party is attempting to localize the damage so it doesn’t spread. Make it just about Chicago, and worst case, Obama – but not the party.

And so you look back to Chicago, you look at the Justice Department, connect the dots. One investigation will potentially reveal the other. And it’s all setting up to happen now if the November elections go down with a Republican landslide.

Obama will be left without protection.

His inner circle is scared to death. I mean truly frightened by the prospects of … … more

HALLOWEEN: VIOLATION OF SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE?

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

I am not against children having fun or getting candy; however, why isn’t Halloween a violation of the so-called “separation of church and state?”If someone argues that the children in public schools are oblivious to the religious significance to Christians, Wiccans and Satanists of Halloween and are just having fun, then why can’t the same be argued for children participating in a Christmas or Easter party?

If the names Christmas and Easter had to be changed to winter break and spring break, then why shouldn’t all references to Halloween also be changed to fall festival — or some other politically correct term?

If Christmas trees can be banned, then why can’t the trappings of Halloween: Jack-o’- lanterns, witches and black cats?

Evidently, this violation will only be ended when a Muslim, Jehovah’s Witness or atheist is offended by Halloween in the public schools.

Did the DNC Get an Illegal Campaign Loan from Bank of America? PJM Exclusive

Shortly after Labor Day, as polls continued to sink, the Democratic National Committee DNC realized it needed a cash infusion for the upcoming midterm elections. Its chairman, former Virginia Governor Tom Kaine, turned to the Bank of America to secure a $15 million revolving credit line.

Then, in the middle of this month, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee DCCC got another loan from BofA for an additional $17 million. What was their collateral?

It turns out, not much. The DNC claims their collateral was an intangible piece of property — its donor mailing list. The DCCC only cites unnamed “assets.” Neither party organization possesses real estate even close to cover the $32 million.

The DNC’s headquarters is owned by another entity. Even it was put up as collateral, its market value was last estimated at only $13.7 million. Were the Bank of America deals legitimate, arms-length transactions, or were they cozy sweetheart deals in which nothing was really put up to secure a $32 million loan?

And if it was the latter, could it be considered an illegal campaign contribution from the largest bank holding company in America? There also is troubling evidence that two days before closing on the loan transaction, the DNC changed its own privacy provisions to allow the selling or sharing of private donor data.BofA has been a longtime friend of Democrats.

In the 2008 election cycle, BofA gave its largest single campaign contribution to then-Senator Barack Obama. According to Bloomberg News, BofA’s new CEO, Brian Moynihan, is considered Obama’s top political ally on Wall Street.

Will of the People

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

On one hand, we have the well-oiled Democratic machine that produced Barack Obama and raised $750 million to get him elected just two short years ago. It is a juggernaut of political savvy, and besides being well-funded, it includes tentacles that connect to voter fraud, union thugs, and professional antagonists in the streets.

On the other side, a relative rabble of loosely organized upstarts. Mostly volunteers, many never even involved in politics at all until a year or two ago, Americans of all stripes: veterans, stay-at-home moms, small business owners, college students, and the like.Yes, there are large sums of money aligned with their efforts — so what? Again, that’s not the real story. Forget the forces that naturally participate in the political process anyway.

Though somewhat unfortunate, that is how our system works.

It is nothing new, and both major political parties equally partake in the system as present law allows.

The battle is between a people and their government. The difference will be the will of everyday Americans.

The upcoming election results will not only speak volumes about the path of our nation’s future, but they will also serve as an important gauge for what a determined majority of Americans are capable of.

Are you a “useless eater”?

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Question one:

Are you a “useless eater”?

In Assisted Suicide – How the chattering classes have got it wrong, Cristina Odone, from the Centre for Policy Studies, London, explains how, ”Legalising assisted suicide and euthanasia will put the socially marginalised at serious risk.

Attempts to change the law should be resisted.”For starters, ”The elderly, people with severe disabilities, the mentally unstable, and those with terminal illnesses will be presented with self-inflicted death as a natural, normal and expected final solution.”Of course, the right-to-die-with-dignity movement was popularized by Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers’ Party, although the Red Russians must be remembered for their creepy contributions too.

Or as Odone puts it, ”A society cleansed of the feeble, the infirm, the imperfect: it is a template others in history have sought. We should remember at what cost.”
