Pa. Oath Keeper president seeks Carbon sheriff post rs

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

The president of the Oath Keepers organization’s Pennsylvania chapter wants to be the next sheriff of Carbon County.Steven Armbruster last year received national recognition from Oath Keepers as “Peace Officer of the Year.

“Armbruster describes himself as 20-year veteran of law enforcement with some experience as a Lehigh County deputy sheriff, a police officer in Emmaus borough and service with the military police. He currently is a police corporal employed by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education as part of campus security at Kutztown University.

Armbruster said he is running as Republican but calls himself a freedom activist and will campaign as a constitutional sheriff. He currently holds instructorship in National Rifle Association firearms instruction, defensive tactics and taser instruction. He was named “Peace Officer of the Year” for his defense of the U.S. Constitution regarding an incident on the Kutztown campus involving a group of Christians who were peacefully engaged in constitutionally protected activities.Carbon County Sheriff Dwight Nothstein, a Democrat who said he will seek re-election, describes Oath Keepers as a “radical” group that is “off the wall” and connected to the tea party movement.”They preach the U.S. Constitution while disobeying court orders and the law while following their interpretation of the Constitution,” Nothstein said.

“Most people don’t take them too seriously,” he added.Nothstein pledged “to protect the rights of the people, work hard and do what I am supposed to do to keep people safe.”Armbruster also promises to protect the citizens of Carbon County from what he calls the gradual encroachment of excess governmental power.According to Armbruster, the county sheriff represents the nation’s last line of defense and has the authority, the power and duty to end “venal and oppressive government to preserve fundamental and individual liberty…”

What we know about Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Apple’s new Lion OS will be leaner, keener and meaner than ever; it will teach Mac users a whole new touch-based way to interface with their computer, and borrows heavily from elements of Apple’s also NeXT-based iOS system for mobile devices.

Jobs explained that touch interfaces don’t feel right in a vertical plane — you don’t want to touch your iMac‘s screen — this means trackpads and the Magic Mouse are the interfaces for the future iOS/OS X integration at least at present — for the future, who knows? In future it isn’t hard to imagine touch controls evolving to become gesture-based using the iSight now FaceTime cameras inside most Macs, but that’s some way down the line. Minority Report isn’t here yet.Promising a “ton of new features”, Jobs observed, “Lion brings many of the best ideas from iPad back to the Mac, plus some fresh new ones like Mission Control that Mac users will really like,.

“So, what do we know about the new operating system that will power ever more substantial chunks of the PC industry?

The Hayseed Rebellion by James P. Gannon

One of the most striking things about this year’s political discourse as if name-calling and wild accusations can be dignified with such a term is that what used to be considered traditional and commonplace thinking is now labeled as extremism and bigotry.

A few examples:If you believe that the U.S. Constitution means only what it actually says, you are an extremist who ought to be wearing a powdered wig.If you believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman, you are a homophobe and a bigot.

If you think people should not be allowed to break into our country illegally, then get free education, health care and jobs and to march in our streets to protest the violation of their “rights,” you are a racist, a xenophobe, and your state should be boycotted.

If you have misgivings about the morality of abortion, or any doubts about the absolute right of a mother to kill her unborn child, you are a religious fanatic, an anti-feminist, and probably a right-wing Catholic. If you admit to having some queasy feeling when boarding an airplane with people dressed in Muslim garb – you are not only a bigot but you are FIRED – if you work for National Public Radio or probably any other institution aligned with the cultural/political Left in this country.

If you watch Fox News, you are a freakin’ @#XX!&mf2!!!If you doubt any of the above is true, a close look at the TV commercials being run by the likes of Sen. Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray or many of the other endangered Democratic incumbents running scared this election year will prove my point.

Anyone who does not totally buy into the “progressive” agenda and orthodoxy of politically correct, left-leaning Democratic Party is, by definition, “extreme” if not outright bigoted or “crazy” as Reid has labeled his opponent, Sharron Angle

Glorious War! by Joseph Sobran

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Most observers are predicting a rout of the Republicans in this fall’s elections. Some think the Democrats can even recapture both houses of Congress.I hope so. Oh, how I hope so. May the Republicans perish forever.

May vultures gobble their entrails. May their name be blotted out. In short, may they lose their shirts in November.

Yes, I’m disillusioned with the GOP. It was bad enough when I thought they were unprincipled. Now, however, it’s worse, because they do have a principle after all: war.

Two Bush administrations have proved that. War on Panama, war on Iraq, war on “terror,” war on Afghanistan, war on Iraq again, and war on Iran, comin’ up. And of course the recent Israeli war on Lebanon was waged with George W. Bush’s complicity.

Am I leaving anything out? Oh yes, his father’s war on “drugs”; but let’s not even count that one.Next to the violence of war, I hate the philosophical fallout.

This Bush administration has managed to pervert the meaning of conservatism: in most Americans’ minds, for the next generation, the word will mean, above all, militarism.

Not that this is wholly new. Goldwater conservatives supported the Vietnam war, originally a liberal project, even complaining that it wasn’t being waged with enough force. They began sneering at “peaceniks,” then equating peace with liberalism and war with patriotism and automatically favoring huge military budgets.

Lyndon Johnson’s war soon became “Nixon’s war,” and the anti-war George McGovern redefined the Democratic Party.By the Reagan years the old lines were redrawn. Quite a change from the days when Democrats wanted war on fascism and Republicans were accused of “isolationism” for preferring peace. Does anyone remember Robert Taft?By identifying the conservative cause with war, the Republicans have given liberalism the finest gift they could possibly have bestowed on it.

The popularity of war is intense but brief. Americans will support quick and victorious wars, but after a few months the thrill tends to wear off.As late as 1976 grouchy Bob Dole, a bitter World War II vet, could still take a swat at “Democrat wars,” but the phrase sounded quaint. The amnesiac American public thought it was a contradiction in terms. When had the Democrats ever wanted war?

If We Quit Voting by Frank Chodorov

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

This essay originally appeared in July 1945 in a monthly newsletter Chodorov established called analysis.

It later appeared as a chapter in his book Out of Step: The Autobiography of an Individualist 1962.

New York in midsummer is measurably more miserable than any other place in this world – and should be comparable to the world for which all planners are headed. Why New Yorkers, otherwise sane, should choose to parboil their innards in a political campaign during this time of the year is a question that comes under the head of man’s inscrutable propensity for self-punishment. And if a fellow elects to let the whole thing pass him by, some socially conscious energumen is bound to sweat him with a lecture on civic duty, like the citizeness who came at me.For 25 years my dereliction has been known to my friends, and more than one has undertaken to set me straight; out of these arguments came a solid defense for my nonvoting position, so that the lady in question was well parried with practiced retorts.

I pointed out, with many instances, that though we have had candidates and platforms and parties and campaigns in abundance, we have had an equivalent plenitude of poverty and crime and war. The regularity with which the perennial promise of “good times” wound up in depression suggested the incompetence of politics in economic affairs. Maybe the good society we have been voting for lay some other way; why not try another fork in the road, the one pointing to individual self-improvement, particularly in acquiring a knowledge of economics?

And so on.There was one question put to me by my charming annoyer that I deftly sidestepped, for the day was sultry and the answer called for some mental effort. The question: “What would happen if we quit voting?”If you are curious about the result of noneating you come upon the question of why we eat. So, the query put to me by the lady brings up the reason for voting.

The theory of government by elected representatives is that these fellows are hired by the voting citizenry to take care of all matters relating to their common interests. However, it is different from ordinary employment in that the representative is not under specific orders, but is given blanket authority to do what he believes desirable for the public welfare in any and all circumstances, subject to constitutional limitations. In all matters relating to public affairs the will of the individual is transferred to the elected agent, whose responsibility is commensurate with the power thus invested in him…

Cliff Kincaid — Terrorist Ayers Endorses Stewart/Colbert Rallies

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

When comics Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced their rallies on the national mall scheduled for this Saturday, they may not have expected—or wanted—an endorsement from Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers.

But Ayers told the Ford Motor Company-sponsored Green Festival in Washington, D.C. last Saturday that the event will be a needed respite from the “Alice in Wonderland” world of military domination of the planet and wars waged by the U.S. “empire.”The October 30 Stewart/Colbert rallies, dubbed “Restore Sanity” and “Keep Fear Alive,” are “worth attending,” Ayers said.

Ayers’ wife, Bernardine Dohrn, once labeled a “violent maniac” by a former gang member in congressional testimony, turned deadly serious at the Green Fest in declaring that the U.S. was no longer a “hegemonic power” because of its economic decline but that its military strength was still a major problem in the world.Sounding as anti-American as ever, Dohrn and Ayers complained about U.S. military aid to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Israel, and U.S. backing for “repressive” regimes.

Ayers, who is retiring as an education professor for the University of Illinois, encouraged the audience to focus on “community power,” such as what they can accomplish in “the classroom.” He said, “This is the only power we have access to.”At the sparsely-attended event, Ayers declared that “education is a human right” and put his faith in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.Offering something for the “Green Americans” in attendance, Dohrn said that Americans have to learn to “live differently.”Appearing together on stage in a talk show format, the efforts by Ayers and Dohrn to gin up the crowd mostly fell flat, in part because the acoustics in a location in the Washington Convention Center made it difficult for many to hear what was actually being said.

Even Ayers complained about an inability to hear the questions. However, questions from this columnist about their communist terrorist backgrounds were heard clearly and denounced by Dohrn as a “pack of lies.” The questions concerned Dohrn’s praise of the Manson Family murders and a book they wrote that was dedicated in part to Sirhan Sirhan, the assassin of anti-Vietnam War candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

Dohrn griped that they have become “pawns” against their old friend and associate, President Obama, and that critics of Obama have been trying to depict them as “insane” and “murderers.”

JB Williams — In America: Communist, Socialist, Progressive = Democrat

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

While every Democrat voter is not a communist yet, almost every Democrat politician is – certainly every party leader. So, why are we still pretending that there is some kind of nuanced difference between today’s Democrat Party and today’s Communists?

JFK would be no more welcome in today’s DNC than Juan Williams is at NPR.

Yes, the Soviet Union fell in the 1980s thanks to Ronald Reagan breaking their bank in the arms race. Cuba, the last standing Soviet-styled communist nation, is forced lay off a million public sector employees because their bank is bust, too.

Red China is on the rise, however, and Democrats have long ago introduced Marx into every facet of American society. As Democratic Socialist of America National Director Frank Llewellyn states in his latest missive to his socialist comrades,

“There are just 8 days until the election: This is not a time when progressives can stand on the sidelines.”Note that Llewellyn did not refer to his comrades as communists, socialists or Marxists, all of which would be accurate. He referred to his comrades as “progressives.”

That’s because today’s hardcore leftist is no longer considered hardcore left, but rather “progressive.”Obama – Pelosi – Reid – Frank – Biden – Clinton – Dodd and every other Democrat politician is proud to proclaim openly the title of progressive. None of them is in the closet anymore. Bernie Sanders, a long-time card carrying Socialist, heads up the “progressive caucus” and John Conyers, a long-time card carrying Communist, formed the Black Caucus, which is not focused on Black issues, but rather the communist agenda.

Both are legislative bodies under the direction of the Democratic Socialists of America. Before Obama was repackaged as a moderate Democrat from Hawaii to become a shoe-in Senate candidate from Illinois, he was first a failed third party candidate of the New Party, a temporary front org for the Communist Party USA. But what’s in a title?DSAUSA Director Frank Llewellyn warns his progressive comrades:“Frankly the stakes could not be higher. A Republican takeover of the House of Representatives or the Senate would put an end to any chance of meaningful reform until after the 2012 election.

Moreover the limited gains of the last two years would be put at risk. Republicans have made it perfectly clear that their primary goal is to repeal all of the legislation –from health care reform to student loan reform to the modest reforms that were intended to rein in the Wall Street speculators who were the primary cause of the economic crisis that we still suffer from today– that the current congress passed and the president signed into law.”

Trying to Build Consensus or Make Republicans “Ride in the Back?” No Obama, we’re kicking you out

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

With less than a week before the midterm elections President Obama is in full campaign mode, supporting his fellow Democrats and plunking down political red meat at rallies across the country. In recent stump speeches Mr. Obama has said, “We don’t mind the Republicans joining us.

They can come for the ride, but they’ve got to sit in back.”It’s widely expected that Republicans will make major gains in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, leaving Mr. Obama in a tough situation.“I think the president is in some ways caught in a trap that’s partially of his own making,” said James Sample of the Cato Institute.

“He’s lost the independents, he’s lost whatever conservative support he has. So the public face as we go into the election has to be one that has to get committed Democrats out to vote… so it’s a run against Republicans.”Read more: http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/10/26/president-obama-trying-build-consensus-or-make-republicans-ride-back#ixzz13YPBh5ys

Fraudulent Voting Re-emerges as a Partisan Issue Scare tactic to suppress minorities alert

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

In 2006, conservative activists repeatedly claimed that the problem of people casting fraudulent votes was so widespread that it was corrupting the political process and possibly costing their candidates victories.

The accusations turned out to be largely false, but they led to a heated debate, with voting rights groups claiming that the accusations were crippling voter registration drives and reducing turnout. That debate is flaring anew.Tea Party members have started challenging voter registration applications and have announced plans to question individual voters at the polls whom they suspect of being ineligible.

In response, liberal groups and voting rights advocates are sounding an alarm, claiming that such strategies are scare tactics intended to suppress minority and poor voters.[Snip]Voting rights advocates say they are worried.“Private efforts to police the polls create a real risk of vote suppression, regardless of their intent,” said Wendy R. Weiser, director of the Voting Rights and Elections Project at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University. “People need to know that any form of discrimination, intimidation or challenge to voters without adequate basis is illegal or improper.”[Snip]About 43 percent fewer new voters have registered in Wisconsin this year than in 2006, while in Indiana, the decrease has been about 35 percent.

Significant drops have also been seen in Ohio 25 percent, North Carolina 28 percent, Florida 27 percent and Maryland 21 percent, according to state election data collected by the Brennan Center.

Ariz. Law Requiring Voters Prove Citizenship Is Struck Down

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

PHOENIX — A federal appeals court on Tuesday struck down a key part of Arizona’s law requiring voters to prove they are citizens before registering to vote and to show identification before casting ballots.

The decision by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the law requiring voters to prove their citizenship while registering is inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act.

That federal law allows voters to fill out a mail-in voter registration card and swear they are citizens under penalty of perjury, but doesn’t require them to show proof as Arizona’s law does.

Aide fired over Florida debate foul Another cheating, lying Democrat

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

A campaign aide to Florida gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink has been removed after the Democratic nominee was sent a text message during a televised debate — in violation of the rules that the candidates agreed to.Sink’s campaign did not name the advisor.

But a campaign spokesman confirmed it was Brian May, who signed the rules agreement before the Monday evening debate. The incident took place at the CNN/St. Petersburg Times Florida gubernatorial debate when Sink’s make-up artist delivered a two-sentence message on a cell phone during a break.

Republican nominee Rick Scott, who was sitting next to Sink in the nationally televised debate, noticed the violation and notified a CNN official. The CNN official approached the make-up artist and Sink, and confiscated the cell phone.

Election Fraud Worries Already Rampant: Widespread Reports Of Machines Flipping Votes

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Why are problems encountered in ‘06 and ‘08 still occurring in 2010?

Steve WatsonPrisonplanet.comTuesday, Oct 26th, 2010Significant errors with voting machines have already begun to surface across the country, prompting fears that fraud could once again be a deciding factor in the elections this November.

Fox News 5 reports that voters in Boulder City, Las Vegas have already experienced dubious errors with the machines.“Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.” the report states. The incident was not an isolated one, with several voters encountering the same problem within minutes of each other.Officials blamed the malfunctions on the machine’s “sensitive” screens and discounted any notion of fraud.Similar problems have also been reported in North Carolina. With rumours of voting problems in several counties.

The New Bern Sun Journal reports:“Sam Laughinghouse of New Bern said he pushed the button to vote Republican in all races, but the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. He cleared the screen and tried again with the same result, he said. Then he asked for and received help from election staff.”“They pushed it twice and the same thing happened,” Laughinghouse said. “That was four times in a row. The fifth time they pushed it and the Republicans came up and I voted.

”In this instance officials said that the machine needed to be “re-calibrated”. This error seems to be somewhat common, however, the machines do not display an error message when they need to be calibrated, the simply complete ballots for the opposite party.

The exact same problem was also reported late last week in Dallas, where computer programmer Don Relyea took the initiative to record a video of the incident. Relyea, attempted to vote for Gov. Rick Perry, yet his choice morphed into a straight-ticket Green Party vote.

A Dallas election official threatened to investigate Relyea, saying that any video taping in an election booth is illegal, and

the Youtube video has since been made private.

Maybe it time for this..a NATION–WIDE “fraud alert center” vanity.

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

We are hearing it all over..election fraud. Nevada. Arizona. Illinois. Colorado even Florida.

Votes already coming up for the Dems, not being delivered, not registering right, military votes not being mailed.

There is NO doubt that the demons pan to STEAL this election!!

SO, perhaps, we at FR should come up with some kind of “one size fits all” calling center or such, where ANYONE form ANY state, can report FRAUD.

Now I DO mean REAL fraud, not just “rumors” cause if we are to have any credibility…it has to be verifiable.

Things like I mentioned before, along with “bought votes”, intimidation, illegal voters and the like. Sure…we COULD rely on the “normal channels” like usual…but, since it is CONSERVATIVES who are being defrauded…

it will likely just “fall through the cracks”, like the last couple of times, and then we will hear things like..”The election is over…the people have spoken…accept it and move on”, from the demons– like the last couple of times–when MANY races got stolen..

I do not know what that would take–and of COURSE, SOMEONE with some “pull” who could NOT be “ignored”–by either the MSM or the “powers that be”–would have to be involved–who could make SURE that EVERY case–and every VOTE–got investigated and COUNTED–for REAL!!

Even if it ties things up for moths…it WOULD be WORTH IT!!Perhaps some name like “TeaParty for truth in elections”, would work.

And some “1-800″ type # to call and then–someone to MAKE SURE –things got taken care of!!

Maybe something like this already exists. I hope so, but if not, hopefully there is still time to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Seeking Proof in Near-Death Claims 18 Hospitals to study mystery of near-death experiences

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

At 18 hospitals in the U.S. and U.K., researchers have suspended pictures, face up, from the ceilings in emergency-care areas. The reason: to test whether patients brought back to life after cardiac arrest can recall seeing the images during an out-of-body experience.

People who have these near-death experiences often describe leaving their bodies and watching themselves being resuscitated from above, but verifying such accounts is difficult.

The images would be visible only to people who had done that.”We’ve added these images as objective markers,” says Sam Parnia, a critical-care physician and lead investigator of the study, which hopes to include 1,500 resuscitated patients. Dr. Parnia declined to say whether any have accurately described the images so far, but says he hopes to report preliminary results next year. The study, coordinated by Southampton University‘s School of Medicine in England, is one of the latest and largest scientific efforts to understand the mystery of near-death experiences. At least 15 million American adults say they have had a near-death experience, according to a 1997 survey—and the number is thought to be rising with increasingly sophisticated resuscitation techniques. In addition to floating above their bodies, people often describe moving down a dark tunnel toward a bright light, feeling intense peace and joy, reviewing life events and seeing long-deceased relatives—only to be told that it’s not time yet and land abruptly back in an ailing body.

The once-taboo topic is getting a lot of talk these days. In the new movie “Hereafter,” directed by Clint Eastwood, a French journalist is haunted by what she experienced while nearly drowning in a tsunami.

Yet the fundamental debate rages on: Are these glimpses of an afterlife, are they hallucinations or are they the random firings of an oxygen-starved brain?

White House Insider: “President Obama is lost. Absolutely lost.”

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Just tell me about this scandal. Leans back, folds arms across chest. Looks outside – then back to me Ok then – I’ll point your nose in the right direction. Enough people are sniffing in the same garbage pile anyways, including the Times.

Though I suspect they are burying it at the moment, or trying to. They are still heavily invested in Obama, but that may change soon… Go back to Chicago. That is the key.

There is other crap around the White House, other things that could trip them up, but Chicago is where the real heavy deal is that could bring the administration down.

Go back and review Blagojevich. Go back and review Rezko, Barton, Stern, Giordano, Carothers, Jarret. It’s one and the same.

It’s all connected, and it’s big.

And people know. The White House is -expletive- itself over this stuff. Pelosi has it. Clintons have it – more of it than they had in 2008.Interrupts What do you mean “have it”? The information – the story. At least some of it, enough of it.

It’s all a chess match you know. A series of moves. Right now the White House is scrambling, and they don’t know enemies from friends anymore. The party is attempting to localize the damage so it doesn’t spread. Make it just about Chicago, and worst case, Obama – but not the party.

And so you look back to Chicago, you look at the Justice Department, connect the dots. One investigation will potentially reveal the other. And it’s all setting up to happen now if the November elections go down with a Republican landslide.

Obama will be left without protection.

His inner circle is scared to death. I mean truly frightened by the prospects of … … more

HALLOWEEN: VIOLATION OF SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE?

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

I am not against children having fun or getting candy; however, why isn’t Halloween a violation of the so-called “separation of church and state?”If someone argues that the children in public schools are oblivious to the religious significance to Christians, Wiccans and Satanists of Halloween and are just having fun, then why can’t the same be argued for children participating in a Christmas or Easter party?

If the names Christmas and Easter had to be changed to winter break and spring break, then why shouldn’t all references to Halloween also be changed to fall festival — or some other politically correct term?

If Christmas trees can be banned, then why can’t the trappings of Halloween: Jack-o’- lanterns, witches and black cats?

Evidently, this violation will only be ended when a Muslim, Jehovah’s Witness or atheist is offended by Halloween in the public schools.

Did the DNC Get an Illegal Campaign Loan from Bank of America? PJM Exclusive

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Shortly after Labor Day, as polls continued to sink, the Democratic National Committee DNC realized it needed a cash infusion for the upcoming midterm elections. Its chairman, former Virginia Governor Tom Kaine, turned to the Bank of America to secure a $15 million revolving credit line.

Then, in the middle of this month, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee DCCC got another loan from BofA for an additional $17 million. What was their collateral?

It turns out, not much. The DNC claims their collateral was an intangible piece of property — its donor mailing list. The DCCC only cites unnamed “assets.” Neither party organization possesses real estate even close to cover the $32 million.

The DNC’s headquarters is owned by another entity. Even it was put up as collateral, its market value was last estimated at only $13.7 million. Were the Bank of America deals legitimate, arms-length transactions, or were they cozy sweetheart deals in which nothing was really put up to secure a $32 million loan?

And if it was the latter, could it be considered an illegal campaign contribution from the largest bank holding company in America? There also is troubling evidence that two days before closing on the loan transaction, the DNC changed its own privacy provisions to allow the selling or sharing of private donor data.BofA has been a longtime friend of Democrats.

In the 2008 election cycle, BofA gave its largest single campaign contribution to then-Senator Barack Obama. According to Bloomberg News, BofA’s new CEO, Brian Moynihan, is considered Obama’s top political ally on Wall Street.

Will of the People

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

On one hand, we have the well-oiled Democratic machine that produced Barack Obama and raised $750 million to get him elected just two short years ago. It is a juggernaut of political savvy, and besides being well-funded, it includes tentacles that connect to voter fraud, union thugs, and professional antagonists in the streets.

On the other side, a relative rabble of loosely organized upstarts. Mostly volunteers, many never even involved in politics at all until a year or two ago, Americans of all stripes: veterans, stay-at-home moms, small business owners, college students, and the like.Yes, there are large sums of money aligned with their efforts — so what? Again, that’s not the real story. Forget the forces that naturally participate in the political process anyway.

Though somewhat unfortunate, that is how our system works.

It is nothing new, and both major political parties equally partake in the system as present law allows.

The battle is between a people and their government. The difference will be the will of everyday Americans.

The upcoming election results will not only speak volumes about the path of our nation’s future, but they will also serve as an important gauge for what a determined majority of Americans are capable of.

Are you a “useless eater”?

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Question one:

Are you a “useless eater”?

In Assisted Suicide – How the chattering classes have got it wrong, Cristina Odone, from the Centre for Policy Studies, London, explains how, ”Legalising assisted suicide and euthanasia will put the socially marginalised at serious risk.

Attempts to change the law should be resisted.”For starters, ”The elderly, people with severe disabilities, the mentally unstable, and those with terminal illnesses will be presented with self-inflicted death as a natural, normal and expected final solution.”Of course, the right-to-die-with-dignity movement was popularized by Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers’ Party, although the Red Russians must be remembered for their creepy contributions too.

Or as Odone puts it, ”A society cleansed of the feeble, the infirm, the imperfect: it is a template others in history have sought. We should remember at what cost.”

Is it any surprise, as we noted earlier today, that there was a voting glitch in Clark County, Nevada? The glitch caused Harry Reid’s name to be automatically checked on the ballot before voters had indicated who were they were supporting.

According to Joyce Ferrara who was an eyewitness to this strange ballot ordeal, the problem was widespread, “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”It is particularly troubling that Clark County has put the uber left-wing SEIU Local 1107 in charge of their voting machines.

The agreement between the SEIU and Clark County specifically puts all voting machines under the control of the SEIU. See the collective bargaining agreement:

Court Halts North Carolina Internet Tax Scheme Court Slaps Big Brother.

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Taxpayers and First Amendment advocates won a huge victory yesterday when a U.S. District Court ruled that North Carolina could not collect detailed and private information about online shoppers to pursue them for tax collection.Beginning last year, the North Carolina Department of Revenue DOR sent letters to online retailer Amazon.com demanding that the company provide “all information” about in-state customers and their nearly 50 million purchases.

This included names, addresses, products purchased with descriptions, and more. The state DOR would then target those residents and force them to pay “use tax” on the purchased goods. Yet, a federal court in Seattle has now ruled such “reporting requirements” unconstitutional…

Facebook’s Child Porn Subculture Baffles Executives, Challenges Parents

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Without doubt, the Internet has wormed its series of blissful tubes throughout our lives. It’s what we check in the morning, what we look at during the day, what entertains us at night. It provides news, products, business opportunities, conversation, relationships, self-promotion and endless distraction. An entire generation is growing up having never known a time without the Internet.

Parental reaction is swinging the pendulum of opinion from luddite to addicts themselves. One thing most involved parents will agree on is the unparalleled role this technology has in our kids’ lives, social networking sites in particular. With choices such as MySpace, Twitter, Xanga, Tumblr and the mother of all, Facebook–it’s rare to find an unplugged teen. Many parents are content to simply regulate time spent online, sometimes check content to monitor behavior. But, all should be concerned about online safety. Facebook specifically bills itself as a safe site.

Yet, after a series of busts and multi-state investigations, the underbelly of both MySpace and Facebook were exposed. While both attempted to scrub the sites of any child-exploitative material, Fox News revealed that child predators still thrive on Facebook after concluding an exclusive investigation.Currently, the site filters content by key words that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children NCMEC has found to be linked to child pornography. According to “cybersecurity experts,” this should flag most offensive material found on the site.

Most.Fox reports:During a 90-minute phone interview with Facebook spokesman Simon Axten and the company’s chief security officer, Joe Sullivan, the two executives were guided by FoxNews.com through the site’s seamy subculture – an encounter that left Sullivan sounding dumbfounded, unaware of and unable to explain the extremely graphic content on the site.Excerpt Read more at newsrealblog.com …

A Society of Beggars? Obama Battles Reagan

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Obama or Reagan. In the end, that’s the choice. As the country enters the final week of what may be the most important election in a lifetime, these two presidents and their starkly differing visions of America are at the center of what has become a political earthquake.Barack Obama, of course, would seem to have the advantage.

He is the flesh-and-blood sitting president of the moment, with actual, real-time command of the White House and all the accompanying assets that includes. Air Force One responds to his beck and call, along with the helicopters, shiny limousines, the staff and the entire executive branch of the United States government. Not to mention the total control his party has had over the House and Senate.

The seal may have fallen off his podium the other week, but no matter. As he accurately pointed out, everyone does indeed know exactly who he is.A bit late, some would say.

Amid all the exuberance about electing a man because of his skin color was a deliberate refusal to understand that this particular man was a hard-core radical leftist. For some, the knowledge of just what then-Senator Obama intended to do if elected president was apparently hard to discern. For others, electing a man who had sat in the pews of Jeremiah Wright‘s church for twenty years and launched his first campaign from the living room of Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers was an appallingly dangerous mistake.

What else, they now ask, could America possibly have expected? The unexpected answer?

White House Media Whores Caught In Rand Paul “Stomping” Cover-Up

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Media Matters and Think Progress – owned by group committed to “promoting the policies of Barack Obama,” completely fail to mention that Rand Paul supporter was also victim of assaultPaul Joseph WatsonPrison Planet.comTuesday, October 26, 2010

The establishment media and the George Soros-funded White House press whores Media Matters and Think Progress are raging about how a Rand Paul supporter stomped on a female MoveOn activist following last night’s Paul-Conway debate in Lexington, while covering up the fact that a female Rand Paul activist was also the victim of a stomping metered out by a Conway supporter just moments before.

An Associated Press video of the incident seems to go to great lengths to slow down the stomping in order to increase shock value, while conveniently failing to capture on film an almost identical incident moments before where a female Rand Paul supporter had her bandaged foot sliced open by a Conway fan who stomped her in a similar fashion.Lauren Valle, a liberal MoveOn activist, attempted to create a confrontation by moving towards Paul after the debate, only to be restrained by Rand Paul fans. The video shows one of them push his foot down on the woman’s upper back in a stomping motion. Other Rand Paul activists try to discourage the man from hurting the woman. The Rand Paul supporter who assaulted the woman is clearly a thug and should be criminally charged, but the establishment media and the George Soros-funded blogs have hastily exploited this unfortunate incident in an effort to prop up the flailing political campaign of Democrat Jack Conway, by attempting to demonize Rand Paul supporters as a mob of angry brownshirts.

Geert Wilders Is Undermining Dutch Jurisprudence – President Of The Supreme Court Says So

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Andrew Bostom has published an excellent piece on the recent comments made by Geert Corstens, The President of the Netherlands Supreme Court. Corstens photo above alleges that accused Parliamentarian Geert Wilders is “undermining Dutch jurisprudence”. From Bostom’s article:“Geert Corstens, President of the Netherlands Supreme Court, maintains in Orwellian fashion that Dutch Parliamentarian leader Geert Wilders is “undermining” Dutch jurisprudence.

[Hat tip Fjordman]As reported here,Critical statements on jurisprudence such as Wilders has made during the proceedings against him have an “undermining” effect on jurisprudence, particularly as the leader of the PVV [Wilders’ Party for Freedom] is also still a parliamentarian, according to Corstens. MPs should contribute to the stability of the constitutional state, said the president on television programme Buitenhof. This past Friday 10/22/10, because the three sitting judges evidenced unacceptable bias, a special chamber of the Amsterdam district court ruled that the ongoing case against Wilders must be restarted with a different panel of judges.

During a dinner in May 2010, Tom Schalken, one of the judges who gave the order to the Public Prosecutor’s Office OM to prosecute Wilders, attempted to persuade Islamologist Professor Hans Jansen, an expert witness for Wilders’ defense, that the Dutch MP was guilty. Specifically, Jansen insists,…over and over [Schalken] steered the conversation towards the Wilders trial… to convince me of the correctness of his [Schalken’s] decision to drag Wilders to court. And now another “objective” jurist—the President of the Netherlands Supreme Court himself—has made plain his own hideous bias proclaiming that Wilders defense of freedom of speech, let alone fair legal proceedings, somehow undermines Dutch “jurisprudence.”…”Yes, indeedy. The hooks of Islam are sunken deeply into the highest levels of the Dutch legal system. The best analogy that comes to my mind is this:

How Will Obama Punish His Enemies and Reward His Friends?

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Who is the real Barack Hussein Obama? Harvard-educated professor of law? Radical community organizer? Union flack? Or Chicago Way thug politician? Now that it seems apparent that President Obama’s big government takeover policies will be soundly rebuked by the electorate next Tuesday, his anger against those who oppose him seems to be rising to the surface again and his true nature is showing through.

This past Monday, speaking on Univision, he warned that attaining his goals will be harder “[I]f Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us’.”What kind of Harvard professor talks like that? It appears that a majority of the electorate are about to be added to Barry’s enemy list. And how will he “punish” us? Put a “boot on our throats”? Find out “whose a- to kick”? On the same day, speaking in Rhode Island, he told Republicans “they can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in the back”.With Obama now in complete command of 50% of the US economy thanks to ObamaCare and Financial Reform with pending Cap & Trade legislation, EPA regulations, FDA food regulation, and FCC internet regulation to grab most of the remaining economy, finding creative ways to punish enemies and reward friends should be a snap.Being the President of the United States comes with some unique responsibilities.

The President must put aside petty politics and represent all of the American people, whether they be perceived “enemies” or “friends”. Apparently, Mr. Obama has not transcended the thuggish ways of his Chicago political past.

JUST HOW MANY CROOKS ARE THERE IN GOVERNMENT?  HOW MANY CAN WE OUST NEXT WEEK?

by Ron Ewart

Richard M. Nixon resigned from the presidency in 1973 after being implicated in the Watergate Hotel scandal

“It is said that power corrupts, but actually it’s more true that power attracts the corruptible. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power.” – David Brin

The Founding Fathers went to great lengths to limit the buildup of centralized power.  First, they limited the powers of the federal government to 17 enumerated powers, as delineated in Article I, Section 8 of the U. S. Constitution.  They went even further to limit centralized power by establishing the “Separation of Powers” doctrine, such that the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the federal government were designed to hold each of the other branches in check.  But the final check on centralized power came in the form of the 9th and 10th Amendments, granting ALL OTHER rights and powers to the states and the people.

Obama tells Latino voters he can’t pass immigration reform alone

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

In an effort to energize Latino voters, President Barack Obama defended his administration’s efforts to work for a comprehensive immigration plan, while adding that he was frustrated by the failures of Congress to deal with the issue. In an interview with Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, recorded when Obama was in Los Angeles last week, the president blamed Republicans for refusing to work on the needed legislation.

As he has in the past, Obama noted that 11 Republican senators voted for immigration reform four years ago but walked away from the issue in this midterm-election year.”The fact that we have not got it done is something that frustrates me, and I know that it frustrates many people in the community,” Obama said, according to a transcript of the show, “Piolin por la Manana.” “The problem that we have is, is that until I can get some cooperation from the other side, then people who are anti-immigration reform can continue to block it.”When Piolin asserted that it appeared that the Obama administration had worked less hard on immigration than it had on other issues, such as health care, Obama disagreed.”My Cabinet has been working very hard on trying to get it done, but ultimately, I think somebody said the other day, I am president, I am not king. I can’t do these things just by myself.

We have a system of government that requires the Congress to work with the executive branch to make it happen. I’m committed to making it happen, but I’ve got to have some partners to do it,” Obama said.

Election Fraud Worries Already Rampant: Widespread Reports Of Machines Flipping Votes

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Significant errors with voting machines have already begun to surface across the country, prompting fears that fraud could once again be a deciding factor in the elections this November.Fox News 5 reports that voters in Boulder City, Las Vegas have already experienced dubious errors with the machines.“Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen.

The fifth time they pushed it and the Republicans came up and I voted.”In this instance officials said that the machine needed to be “re-calibrated”.

This error seems to be somewhat common, however, the machines do not display an error message when they need to be calibrated, the simply complete ballots for the opposite party.

Identifying Freedom’s Problems, Part 2
Those who would classify themselves as the enemies of tyranny and advocates of freedom have offered—and for quite some time—many reasons why the United States are in the condition they are in. These reasons need to be reduced to their principle and need to be studied in terms of both society and government phenomenon before real remedies can be applied to the problems caused by the reasons. The reasons can be summarized into three main statements…….

What Obama and the Democrats miscalculated is the mobilization of populist opposition and the speed with which the public turned to the Republicans for solutions, instead of treating Obama as the Great Savior for extending their unemployment benefits.

“Gravy train” of graft, corruption, bribes, and becoming a wealthy, career government leader with power; it must end or the country willIt’s Term Limits or Certain Slow Death for America

By Jerry McConnell

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Most, if not all, the grief, antagonism, misconduct, lies, corruption, cheating, intimidation, bribery, and other ailments short of hang-nails and diarrhea on the political scene here in our country can be solved by doing just ONE thing: Pass TERM LIMITS. Unfortunately, it can only be done with Congress’ cooperation. That’s why I pray that the conservatives really do clean house and Senate so a Constitutional Amendment changing the Articles that pertain to service in Congress can be done without unnecessary tinkering and manipulation.

There should be no Constitutional Conventions that are mighty dangerous just by having them, with multitudes of people with axes to grind sitting around thinking of ways to CHANGE our entire governing process. We have just gone through a period of CHANGE proposed by the POTUS that has brought this country to the brink of dissolution or worse, a takeover by foreign and domestic anti-American interests.

Congress must propose the initiation for adoption of amendments to the Constitution with the necessity for a two-thirds concurrence of both the House of Representatives and the Senate which would then be proposed to theLegislatures of the full fifty states of our country requiring a three-fourths ratification of those Legislatures to make the Amendment as valid as part of our Constitution.

This is not a strange nor overly complicated process; witness the fact that such procedure has been done twenty-seven times before in our illustrious history, the first of which occurred in just two years and eight days after the initial passage on September 17, 1787 when the Bill of Rights, Amendments One through Ten, was sent to the state Legislatures on September 25, 1789 for ratification that then occurred on December 15, 1791.

It will require a truly honorable Congress overwhelmingly dedicated to making our country stronger and less prevalent to the urges of greed and self enriching. They will have to adopt the mentality of those great gentlemen who gathered in the Summer of the year of 1787 to forge and press for adoption of the world’s greatest and most enduring Constitution. But it can and it must make that effort as the divisive climate that prevails today will only worsen and cause more harm to the cohesiveness of our great country.Properly constructed, with Term Limits, the Congress people will not be in office long enough to figure out how to get corrupt.

And I am suggesting ONE term for all, not two as many others are saying.

“The most serious problem is that the government is out of control,” ~ Next Tuesday is our opportunity to begin to restore America

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

The mid-term election is a week away, and many Americans are looking forward to Nov. 2nd with great hope and anticipation, for two reasons.

First, they are fed up with the reprehensible and appalling gutter tactics and personal attacks of the campaign, but mostly they look forward to electing candidates that will bring substantial changes to the political landscape that will stop the nation’s headlong rush toward a command economy.

Our country is in deep trouble, and not just from the insane spending that has occurred since 2008, nor from the government takeover of auto manufacturers and banks, and not even that government has failed to do what needs to be done to foster a real recovery and job creation.

The most serious problem is that the government is out of control, with elected officials running wild, refusing to follow constitutional principles, and enacting laws and instituting policies that are dangerous and harmful.Read more

Soros group launches attack on poll watchers

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

A George Soros-funded organization, aided by Texas U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat, apparently is trying to chase volunteer observers from precinct polling locations across Harris County, Texas, after the watchers found election judges and clerks allegedly voting for citizens who were undecided.

“Only a week into early voting, volunteer poll-watchers also are being verbally and physically harassed by people loitering at the polls with no intention to vote at the time, including a man identified as a reverend and Houston Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who was seen inside the polling location electioneering and threatening to turn a poll-watcher’s name to the Department of Justice for voter intimidation,” said a statement from Liberty Institute. The dispute has its roots in the bitter fight over elections that has developed in 2010, as Democrats both nationally and locally are feeling the sting of abandonment by voters who are enraged by the general takeover of society being pursued by President Obama.

WND reported just days ago when the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed it would investigate Democrat complaints of “intimidation” by “white middle class” poll observers in minority precincts in Harris County. They were accused of “hovering” around voters.

Obama’s imaginary tax cut Democrats could leave Americans hurting for the holidays

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

How many times have you heard the president and the congressional Democrats say Americans who make less than $200,000 a year have not had, and will not have, any of their taxes increased? Unfortunately, it is not true, and it is likely to become a whole lot worse.

The 111th Congress has already enacted $352 billion in net tax increases and may, in the upcoming lame-duck session, enact the largest tax increases in history, which will hit every man, woman and child – as well as every business in America.

The good folks at Americans for Tax Reform ATR have put together the data on what the current Democrat-controlled Congress has done already. I have summarized their analysis in the accompanying table. The tax increase of $725.7 billion dwarfs the tax cuts of $373 billion, leaving a net tax increase of $352 billion. But it gets worse. Just $107.6 billion of the tax cuts are permanent – the rest are temporary – but all of the $725.7 billion increases are permanent.

The S-Chip bill was funded by an additional $65.5 billion in tobacco tax increases. These increases are paid primarily by lower-income people. Obamacare is funded with a variety of individual and employer mandates, excise tax increases and fees, including a tax on “tanning salons,” adding up to $652 billion in tax increases, before deducting $107 billion in “exchange credits” and $37 billion in small-business tax credits.

The vast majority of these tax increases fall on middle- and lower-income people. As with all of the revenue estimates prepared by Congress’ Joint Tax Committee, most of the behavioral effects of these tax changes are ignored

Mel Gibson May be an Alcoholic, a Sedevacantist and an Anti-Semite – But He Has My Sympathy

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Hollywood has turned against him: he has been dropped from the cast of Hangover 2Here we go again.

Mel Gibson has been dropped from the cast of Hangover 2. He was to have had a cameo role as a tattooist – the role played in the original Hangover by that winsome rapist Mike Tyson – but at the weekend it emerged that his co-stars had decided that they could not appear alongside a man whose wickedness has dragged the good name of Hollywood through the mud.

Over at Salon Matt Zoller Seitz thinks he detects double standards at play:“There’s something about this Hangover 2 thing that doesn’t pass the smell test. It seems, at the very least, yet another example of the selective outrage that fuels controversy-driven entertainment coverage, and Hollywood posturing generally, with actors, directors, producers, studio bosses and other players working themselves into a righteous snit about certain people and offenses while giving others a pass.”Go here for the whole thing.

Tax breaks for all [in Puerto Rico]

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

After months of work and anticipation, [Puerto Rico] Gov. [Luis] Fortuño finally unveiled his administration’s comprehensive tax reform.

At the center of the measure is an across-the-board reduction in the individual tax bracket that would result in a 49-percent overall savings in six years. Corporate reductions are slated to reach 30 percent.

The cornerstone of the tax modification is the reduction of the income tax brackets.

People making less than $20,000 would not pay any tax.

The bracket of those making $20,001 to $30,000 would be taxed 7 percent.

From $30,001 to $70,000, the allocation would be 14 percent.

The upper part of the scale, generating between $70,001 and $125,000, would pay 25 percent. Those making above $125,000 would be taxed 30 percent.

“This is more than just a Tax Reform; this is a new platform to spearhead an economic revival.

Enclosed in this document is the most comprehensive tax modification in the history of Puerto Rico,” Fortuño said. The plan, which is called Más dinero para tu bolsillo More Money in Your Pocket would start in December and would last until fiscal 2016.

The announcement came during a special joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: Iraq War “Based On a Series of Lies”

October 26, 2010 2 comments

In his recently published memoir, “Without Hesitation: The Odyssey of an American Warrior,” General Hugh Shelton, who served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1997 to 2001, called the Iraq war “unnecessary” and said that the Bush team went to war “based on a series of lies.”

Shelton also said that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Deputy Secretary of State Paul Wolfowitz and other Pentagon officials pushed for war in Iraq “almost to the point of insubordination.”Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: Iraq War Based On a Series of Lies PTUmbz3NTEzM2ZjODdmNTANTdhYmRhZDFlNzY2MjY5YTAZCZzPWJsb2dnZXImb2Y9MA==This is not some voice from the peanut gallery. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is – by law – the highest ranking military officer in the United States armed forces, and the principal military adviser to the President of the United States.

The Chairman outranks all respective heads of each service branch, including the heads of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

Thank you, General Shelton, for confirming what Seymour Hersh and many others have been saying since 2003 and see this.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice is quite specific that in such a case even the Joint Chiefs can be punished with death, on order of a military tribunal. The Uniform Codes of Military Justice, on the crime of treason says under Article 906 — Espionage, section c:

Don’t believe the insanity: Republican turnout is CRUSHING Democrats.

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Early voting shows a Republican turnout advantage that is unprecedented in modern elections. In Florida and Pennsylvania, Republicans are more than TWICE as likely to have voted than Democrats. In 2004, the internet, then in turn talk radio and even network news were ablaze with news that exit polling showed Senator John Kerry crushing President George W. Bush. A quick look at the numbers easily showed that they were obviously fake: Michigan, for instance, was listed twice, with radically different poll results! But people were so hungry for news, few questioned their credibility. We are now facing a hoax that large. Early reports are claiming that the Democrats have a surprising turnout advantage. The numbers this time are real, but highly misleading……………………………………….

The Mudslinger-In-Chief

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

Having failed to find a campaign message that resonates with voters, President Obama and congressional Democrats have settled on a bizarre closing argument: that Democratic candidates and American democracy are imperiled by the infusion of funds from undisclosed and foreign entities.Obama’s attacks on campaign spending by pro-Republican groups are a transparent attempt to distract voters from his failed legislative agenda.

They also highlight Obama’s increasing tendency to pick fights with political opponents, to demonize and smear his critics and generally to exhibit some of the most unpresidential behavior this side of Watergate. The argument that foreign money is undermining the electoral process was thrust to the fore last January. During his State of the Union address, President Obama launched an unprecedented attack on the Supreme Court.Obama alleged that in its decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, which overturned restrictions on corporations’ political speech, the court had “reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests—including foreign corporations—to spend without limit in our elections.”Obama’s accusation elicited Justice Samuel Alito’s famous “That’s not true” response.Obama continued, “Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities.” Obama then encouraged Congress to pass a law to overturn the court’s decision.

While much of the media focused on Alito’s alleged “breach of etiquette,” it was Obama who had unfairly attacked the justices, who attend the State of the Union out of respect for the President, at a venue that gave them no chance to respond.More recently, Obama has repeatedly accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of “tak[ing] in money from foreign corporations” and “spending huge sums to influence American elections” by producing issue advertisements “without ever disclosing who’s behind all these attack ads.”

Protecting Military Voting: A Blue Star Mom Speaks Out

October 26, 2010 Leave a comment

A military mom describes her experience fighting the bureaucracy to ensure that her deployed son receives his ballot in time to participate in elections back home.My name is Betty Boren Avery, and I am a Republican precinct chairman an unpaid elected position.

I will be serving as an election judge this November 2. To do so, I attend the mandatory secretary of state election law training and the required clerical training every seven months on how to assemble and disassemble the electronic voting equipment, do the paperwork, etc. Also, I am a volunteer deputy voter registrar and have attended the training on how to complete the voter registration form for the state of Texas for the past several years. In other words: I am trained and I know what I am doing. I follow the law and swear in my clerks each election to uphold the “purity” of the election.I am also a Blue Star Mom, with a son currently deployed to Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne. He is a registered voter and deserves the right to vote. He does not have to vote, but he should have the choice to vote and should have a ballot sent to him on time.

I have listened to the Department of Defense describe the military post card procedures. I have also reviewed the website for military voting, and I found and provided the “Registration and Absentee Ballot Request — Federal Post Card Application FPCA” form for my son and for other military service members. My son completed the form on one of his visits home from his home post of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and it was signed and dated with additional information to be completed. The APO address is to be provided later by the soldier or parents. This form seemed self-explanatory. People do not know their APO address until they are deployed or until just before they are deployed, and this was my son’s first deployment: he is 20 years old.My experience trying to change his registration to an APO address with the Harris County Voter Registration Department was interesting. I contacted the head of the elections department, and was told that they could not help me — I had to talk to the mail ballot staff.

I called them, and the person I spoke to was hesitant — they wanted to talk to my son. I tried to explain that this was not possible, as he had just left for Afghanistan and I had no contact with him.

Obama relegates Republicans “to the back of the bus.”

October 26, 2010 1 comment

We’ll make a prediction here and now: If Republicans win like most polls are projecting they will do so next Tuesday they will spend the next two years being attacked by Barack Obama.

He’s already started.

While he claims he wants to work together for the good of the country, he has spent the last two weeks demeaning and castigating Republicans at every chance he’s gotten. But today 10-25-10 it reached a new low. He used a racially charged pejorative that no other national leaders would ever be able to get by with as far as the Elite Media is concerned. He said: “Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out.

Now that progress has been made, he said, “we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us.

They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”And this is how he plans to get cooperation from the victors?Click here to read the best spin the AP could put on it

White House forms federal committee on Internet, privacy policy

October 26, 2010 1 comment

The Obama administration has formed a subcommittee drawn from various parts of the federal government to advise the White House on regulatory and legislative issues for the Web.The panel, which will focus on the Internet privacy, comes as consumer advocacy groups have complained that Internet users need more protection from social media, advertising and other sites that collect user information.

A blog post last Sunday on the National Science and Technology Council Web site said the subcommittee will include members of several federal agencies, such as the Commerce, Justice, Homeland Security and State departments. Cameron Kerry, general counsel at the Commerce Department, and Christopher Schroeder, assistant attorney general at the Justice Department, will head the group.Representatives of the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission were also invited.

And the White House will have representatives from its Domestic Policy Council, National Economic Council, U.S. Trade Representative office and National Security Staff Cybersecurity Directorate.

BREAKING: Ethics Foundation Requests A.G. Holder Investigate Sen. Boxer

October 26, 2010 1 comment

In a breaking development that may affect the close California Senate race, Pajamas Media has learned The Foundation for Ethics in Public Service sent a letter to Eric Holder last Thursday requesting the attorney general “begin an investigation to determine whether United States Senator Barbara Boxer violated any criminal laws or should be liable for any civil penalty for failure to disclose real property on her Personal Financial Disclosure Reports between 2002 and 2010.”

The Foundation for Ethics in Public Service is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization “that seeks to bring a new level of transparency, accountability and integrity to all levels of government in the United States.” Boxer is the chair of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics. The specific property FEPS is referring to is an Oakland, California, home valued at over a million dollars and co-owned by Boxer, her husband Stewart, their son Douglas, and his wife Amy.

The letter to Holder reads in part: Despite the fact that Senator Boxer had an ownership in 854 Longridge Road [in Oakland], she failed to report this substantial real property asset on any of her personal financial disclosures between 2002 and 2010. She had also failed to report the mortgage on the property. Further, she failed to report the purchase of 854 Longridge Road in 2002. Each year Boxer was required to have filed a “full and complete report.” The filing of false or incomplete disclosure statements is in violation of the Ethics in Government Act.

The Act authorizes the Attorney General of the United States to seek civil penalties against Senators who knowingly and willy falsify or fail to report required information. The knowing and willful concealment of the existence of substantial amount of real property for a prolonged period may subject Senators to federal criminal prosecution under 18 U.S.C. paragraph 101. ‘Perfect’ Muslim Soldiers

October 26, 2010 1 comment

Islamofascism: O’Reilly, Whoopi and Joy are all wrong. The 9/11 terrorists weren’t “Muslim extremists” or just plain “Muslims.” A liberal newspaper reporter says they were model Muslims.”Several were described as among the best boys — bright, respectful — in their towns,” he reports in his book. “Many had gone to university,” he adds. “Three had studied Islamic law.” At least one, Ahmed al-Haznawi, had memorized the Quran, a sign of deep devotion much respected by Muslim elders. In fact, he earned the honorary religious title of “hafiz” at a young age.

McDermott describes how another hijacker, Wail al-Shehri left home to train for jihad in Afghanistan after a long period of recitation of Quranic verses. He had the approval of a local imam. But he wasn’t the only one who knew what they were planning. “Two-thirds of them told their families they were leaving to join the jihad,” McDermott writes, adding that their families did not discourage them. “They went where they were called by their religion.”That’s not the story we heard after 9/11. In media interviews, the parents of the hijackers expressed shock about the deeds of their sons.

We must have the wrong men, they insisted. Their boys could never do such a thing. Jihad? What jihad?

Take your own black thoughts into your self-centered depression but leave the rest of us alone

Bloggers trying to infect the masses with deadly defeatism

By Judi McLeod  Sunday, October 24, 2010

With much of the Mainstream Media now wholly creating the news while patently ignoring the real McCoy, comes an unexpected defeatism drill from websites and blogs considered to be on the Help Save America side.

Defeatism and negativity, spoon-fed from the Obama Regime,  are springing up all over the Internet.

America is finished.  Last man out don’t forget to turn off the lights is the dreary theme.

“I don’t see how the US survives the Abyss at this point,” a reader wrote Canada Free Press (CFP) this morning.  “Just sunk too far morally and bankrupt economically.  “We’re ripe to be picked off by a foreign or domestic tyrant…or both?”

The CFP letter writer was responding to what he described was “Depressingly posted” over at Free Republic.

“I have to agree with the author, wrote the FR commenter.  “America is now nothing more than a land mass populated by far too many cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and “redistribute” it to them.  It is not an America worth defending anymore.

“There’s no point hanging onto the past.  America had a great run.  Remember it fondly for what it was.

“The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and there’s no going back.  Throw some cold water in your face and figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites gobble it all up.

“Whatever.  I just live here.

“Every man for himself.”

Thank God this man never got to serve in the trenches with the soldiers of any war.

If defeatism and negativity continue to go viral on the Net, America will have to be dosed with mass-distributed valium.  Something the enemy has probably been contemplating all along.

“America is now nothing more than a land mass populated by far too many cretins and parasites”?  The truth is the cretins and parasites have been clinging to the undergarments of civilized society all throughout history.  Every once in awhile a Churchill or a Lincoln comes along.  They came throughout past chapters of history and indeed they will come again.

The long gaps between the coming of the statesmen of the world makes them all the more welcome when they return.

IMPEACH OBAMA! STOP WASTING YOUR TIME By: Devvy

October 26, 2010© 2010 – NewsWithViews.com

“It is impossible to calculate the moral mischief, if I may so express it, that mental lying has produced in society. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not believe he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime.” ~Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason

From the moment Obama/Soetoro was sworn into office, Americans galvanized into Impeach Obama Now! factions. However, there is a problem here because two wrongs don’t make a right, which is why I have not supported any petitions calling for impeachment.Despite the continued protestations by Obama/Soetoro supporters and professional liars in the dominant media, there is no question the usurper camped out in the White House was never eligible to run for president of these united States of America.

All the huffing, puffing, vile name calling and protesting does not and cannot alter the legal fact that Obama/Soetoro was born with dual citizenship. It is his father’s citizenship status at the time Obama/Soetoro was born that clearly makes him ineligible to be president.

We’re all aware of the 40 or so lawsuits filed to expose Obama/Soetoro’s perfidy and the decisions rendered by cowardly federal judges using the cop out – “standing” – as their justification in tossing the lawsuits. We’re all aware that even though tens of thousands of Americans demanded the electoral college not certify the vote for the impostor on the ballot, they also proved to be gutless cowards or political hacks who value party loyalty over the U.S. Constitution.

The final stop on the way to certifying an ineligible candidate was the U.S. Congress who sat on their cowardly backsides, January 9, 2009, knowing full well there were millions of Americans questioning the legitimacy of Obama/Soetoro’s eligibility.

Yet, not a single member of Congress and that includes Ron Paul stood up on the floor and objected.

There is an orderly procedure that could have been triggered had one member of the Outlaw Congress stood up.

[1] Instead, they all stood down and here we are today with a constitutional crisis that is not going away.As Obama/Soetoro clearly was never eligible to run for the presidency, once he “took” office, he legally became a usurper.

That action is defined as: to seize and hold a position, office, power, etc. by force or without legal right: The pretender tried to usurp the throne.

Glenn Beck To MSNBC: “Why Don’t You Just Make Your Slogan ‘Bend Over’?”

October 26, 2010 1 comment

MSNBC’s new “Lean Forward” campaign is large enough, bold enough, and the subject of just enough publicity to be the object of consistent ridicule from the right.

We’ve seen the parodies, the defiant counter-ads, and now Glenn Beck has taken it upon himself to improve upon the original slogan, suggesting: “MSNBC: Bend Over” because, he explains, “I think it would be more appropriate.”The comment came as an aside to a description of a politician Beck and his radio crew thought was not quite a moderate, but not quite a partisan.

“She leans,” one of Beck’s co-hosts explained, “like MSNBC, but not forward.” Here Beck interrupted to give some advice to his cable news competition: “By the way, MSNBC, why don’t you just make your slogan ‘Bend Over?’ Because you lean forward enough and it’s bending over, and I think it would be more appropriate.”“It’s a nudge,” explains his co-host in an attempt to follow the logic of the new campaign. “First you lean forward, then you bend over…” and before Glenn could jump in, he’s concludes “and then you fall on your face.”“Oh, that’s what happens when you bend over?” Glenn asks mischievously.

Is there a legitimate down-side to using Google stuff? [vanity]

October 25, 2010 1 comment

I find myself relying more and more on Google services on the web. As the internet giant increases the quantity and quality of their various web-based solutions, I can’t help but gravitate to their use on a daily basis. They’re an excellent tool for web geeks like myself on so many levels—not the least of which is the fact that everything is FREE and requires only my browser to easily generate some stunningly beautiful and simple problem-solving sites.

Gmail is free and I can register multitudes of accounts for myself and clients. Google Voice let me select a local phone number that’s easier to remember than my home, work or cell.

I can route any calls through GV to whatever phone is convenient to me. I can customize contact groups and give each a different greeting or routing option. I used it yesterday to call my Dad long distance with my computer for free.A recent offering is Google Sites which I have used to build some totally kick-butt websites for various groups I help organize like church groups, boy scout troop and sports teams. Within each, I can inject various forms, graphics and other documents.

I don’t know what we’d do without our family Google Calendars for organizing everything from sports games & practices, church events, appointments, trips, birthdays, school my son’s school even provides an RSS feed that plugs right in seamlessly, and even meal-planning. This all syncs with my own computer’s calendar program, but I find myself using that one less and less.

I even subscribed to several sports teams’ RSS to alert me of upcoming televised games. And I can access, update, upload, download and modify any of this anywhere I can log on to the internet—including an iPhone if I had one.

Obama is so Toxic even Democratic candidates call for his Impeachment

Former ACORN Official Condemns Voters’ Spontaneous Pledge of Allegiance

October 25, 2010 1 comment

At a debate sponsored by the Illinois League of Women Voters between Democratic incumbent Rep. Melissa Bean, GOP challenger Joe Walsh and Green Party candidate Bill Scheurer Wednesday, the audience loudly objected when the moderator, Kathy Tate-Bradish, insisted on proceeding without reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

In the end, she didn’t stand a chance against the 300-member audience. The camera captures Republican Joe Walsh’s reaction:Ms. Tate-Bradish reportedly scolded the crowd after the pledge ended, blaming the outburst on the Republican candidate. The LWV executive director, Jan Czarnik, also condemned the Pledge’s recitation, telling the local news, “It’s a phony patriotism issue is what it is,” she said.

“[Republicans] must think it helps their campaign.”Both LWV have been active members of the progressive movement. Ms. Tate-Bradish was an active supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and even hosted campaign events for the then-Senator in her own home.Ms. Czarnik is a former ACORN Project Vote worker and has been involved in the progressive People for the American Way, but as blogger Jeff Dunetz notes, these former affiliations would surely in no way lead her to unfairly criticize a Republican candidate, right?

Sunday New York Times, A1, feature story on our 44th president: “Back on the Stump, a Chastened Obama Takes a Sharper Tone.” One wonders if the headline writer bothered to read the article. To start, “Back on the Stump” is puzzling: when was Mr. Obama not on the stump? Talk about the endless campaign. And “chastened”? I read the piece in toto: not a scrap, a scintilla, an iota of evidence that the Organizer-in-Chief feels chastened.

He did exhibit more self-pity, if that is possible, and a sharper tone – against the two women he was campaigning for. If the Times’ ombudsman had a truth-in-headlines rule, this one would fail. The article gives precious little illumination on Mr. Obama’s interior state. We do learn that after being cheered by his groupies at the University of Washington he chafed at not being the center of attention for a few minutes: He stood idly for 20 minutes. The rally, technically speaking, was not about him – it was for Senator Patty Murray, the incumbent Democrat from Washington, who is locked in a close race with Dino Rossi, the Republican.

Ms. Murray spoke first, and long. She gave an extended introduction of Mr. Obama and a pitch for herself while the president crossed his arms and tightened his shoulders and fidgeted slightly while the crowd grew restless waiting for the supporting player who was, of course, the real draw. There is a teaser about the “sharper tone,” but the reporter spares our tender sensibilities by refraining to quote any of the “mocking diatribes” the president delivered:

Harry Reid stealing the election in Nevada

October 25, 2010 2 comments

I have some very grave news for you. We are leading Harry Reid in the polls and meeting our early vote goals–and yet, Sharron Angle could still lose.As Sharron Angle’s campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided “free food” at “voter turnout events.” Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers’ unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid. Before we were even able to document the reported infractions to report to the authorities, the Democrat Secretary of State slammed the door shut on preventing this behavior and issued a public statement permitting these ACORN-style tactics. THESE are the kinds of shenanigans that can turn this race… Harry Reid intends to steal this election if he can’t win it outright. As a result, we need to deploy literally dozens of election law attorneys and poll watchers to combat these tactics …

Understand, EVERYTHING we have worked for in the last year could be destroyed by dirty tricks and criminal acts in the next 8 days. As Sharron’s first line of defense on these matters I am absolutely committed to making sure this won’t happen…

What Harry Reid is doing is clearly illegal. Nevada law NRS 293.700 provides that, “A person who bribes, offers to bribe, or use and other corrupt means, directly or indirectly, to influence any elector in giving his or her vote or to deter the elector from giving it is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.”

Did the President of the United States Describe Some Americans as Enemies?

October 25, 2010 1 comment

Via The Hill:Latino voters, the president said, would have an opportunity to send a message to Republicans, who Obama accused of “politicizing” immigration reform and the border security debate. Obama said “pressure has to be put on the Republican Party” if immigration reform is to become a reality.

“And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder — and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2,” he said.

Think Soros Leaks RINO Neocon Takeover Doc

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

The hand of the neocons weighs heavily on this invitation only, media excluded event. Charles Krauthammer will dispense his wisdom — something you can get for nothing on Fox News any day of the week — and so will stand-up comic Glenn Beck and broker-dealer Peter Schiff.I don’t know why Schiff is speaking at this event.

But then maybe I do. He’s adopted the neocon line on bombing small nations that don’t have nuclear weapons but might according to neocons who have a track record of telling lies in order to get the U.S. involved in the sort of foreign adventures George Washington warned us about. Schiff tells us to stop spending money. But then he apparently wants a huge military that can bomb small backwater countries at the drop of a hat. Go figure. Sounds awful establishment Republican to me.Take a look at the list of people participating in this event. There are all kinds of former government insiders who will become insiders again if some RINO is elected president in 2012 and the “socialist” Dems are thrown out of the House and Senate next month.

For neocons, the only socialism that works is the kind that gives the Pentagon trillions — that can subsequently disappear inside a black hole — and all kinds of fancy tax payer funded death machines to be used against the enemies of Israel, who also happen to be the enemies of the bankers.Remember Carroll Quigely’s maxim — throw out one set of insider “rascals” for another set of insiders who follow the same basic policies.Funny though Think Soros feels compelled to warn us about Charles Koch and the neocons when George Soros and the other faction of one-worlder neolibs are basically calling for the same thing.

Notice Obama is still in Iraq and Afghanistan and is expanding the murder campaign into Pakistan and soon enough Yemen and possibly Africa and beyond. Notice his administration is filled with Goldman Sachs cronies. Notice they will not investigate and prosecute the banksters for fleecing the public and stealing hundreds of thousands of homes right and left. Sounds pretty liberal to me. Not.For the pencil-necked geeks and mass murder apologists at Think Soros, the Koch memo is big news. For the rest of us, it is merely an indication that nothing much changes when these control freaks and government-loving sociopaths are in power and engaged in the same old game of musical chairs.

Minority Of Americans Now Have Faith In Two Party Scam

New Rasmussen poll offers hope voters won’t get fooled again in 2012Minority Of Americans Now Have Faith In Two Party Scam 251010top2Image: geetarchurchyPaul Joseph WatsonPrison Planet.comMonday, October 25, 2010Only a minority of American voters now have faith in either Democrats or Republicans according to a new Rasmussen poll out today, with favorability toward a third party surging amidst a wave of anti-incumbent success.“43% of Likely U.S. Voters believes that neither Democrats nor Republicans in Congress are the party of the American people, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Nearly as many see a need for a new third party,” according to Rasmussen Reports. Only 35 % – a minority – still believe that Republicans or Democrats represent the American people. In addition, 38% now think that it is somewhat likely a third party candidate will be elected as US President within the next 10 years.A massive 72% of Republican voters say the GOP has lost touch with its party base over the past few years compared with 61% who believe the same of Democrats. The poll numbers suggest that confidence in the two party scam continues to collapse as the mid-terms near, offering hope that voters are finally beginning to understand that continually re-electing establishment Republican or Democrat presidents changes nothing.Despite the GOP’s best efforts to hijack the Tea Party movement, candidates like David Ryon are pushing populist issues that genuinely address the real problems behind America’s decline. Ryon, who is running for Ohio’s 15th District Congressional seat under the Constitution Party banner, recently called for an audit of the Federal Reserve in line with Ron Paul’s efforts to initiate a full audit of the Fed.

Public wants a third party, but sees problems with bastardized Tea Party

A whopping majority of 62% of the American people believe it will be a good thing for the country if almost all incumbents from both parties were removed in the upcoming midterm election.

That is the finding of a new national poll that also reveals over a third would like to see a new political party formed to remove the establishment.

Only 27% said they felt their representative in Congress was the best person for the office.

Furthermore, 43% of the American people do not believe that either party in Congress represents them or their country.

That number rises to a majority of 53% amongst Mainstream voters only.

The survey, conducted by Rasmussen [1], highlights just how utterly sick of the phony punch and judy political paradigm a plurality of the public has become.

When asked “Is it fair to say that neither party in Congress is the party of the American people?”, only 35% of respondents disagreed with a further 22% saying they are unsure.

When asked if they agreed with the statement “Republicans and Democrats are so much alike that an entirely new party is needed to represent the American people”, 38% responded in the affirmative.

The same amount also believe that there is a distinct possibility that a third party candidate will be elected to the White House within the next decade.

Voter fraud watch: They’re at it again Obama allies

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

Here we go again. Desperation plus the by-any-means-necessary credo plus a nationwide force of Alinsky avengers equals another recipe for voter fraud. In Colorado, it’s Common Cause of Colorado, Mi Familia Vota Education Fund and the Service Employees International Union caught in an apparent scheme to foist some 6,000 shady voter registrations on the state:A federal judge declined to force the secretary of state to reactivate approximately 6,000 new voters whose registrations were canceled under Colorado’s 20-day rule.

In a decision issued Monday, Senior U.S. District Judge John L. Kane denied a motion for a preliminary injunction that was requested by several labor and voting-rights groups. When a new voter registers in Colorado, the secretary of state mails a nonforwardable notice of disposition that the voter’s registration has been received. If the notice comes back undeliverable in the mail, then clerks deem the voter’s registration inactive within 20 days.Melody Mirbaba, an assistant attorney general, argued that the 20-day rule is designed to stop voter fraud and duplicate registrations. In Arizona, it’s illegal alien amnesty-supporting, SEIU-tied Mi Familia Vota again and One Vote Arizona submitting massive, last-minute voter registrations.

Widow To Obama: “Wake Up!”

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

Tiffany Hartley, whose husband David Hartley was shot to death by Mexican drug cartel gunmen last month on Falcon Lake in Texas while the couple was jetskiing, wants President Obama “to wake up and look at what’s going on in our backyard,” and to ensure that her husband’s murder was not in vain she intends “to focus on getting the attention of Congress, governors and U.S. Citizens to do something about the drug violence.”

The battles among the cartels along the border for control over smuggling routes have claimed over 30,000 lives in the last few years, and the out-of-control violence increasingly threatens the national security of the United States where the Mexican drug trafficking organizations – acting more like narco insurgents – have established supply lines, distribution networks and operational cells in at least 270 cities: “‘I think they make al-Qaida look tame in terms of what they do. I can’t explain how someone loses their humanity and resorts to these things,’ said Anthony Coulson, a recently retired DEA supervisor. He argued that the violence, and the amounts of illicit drugs flowing from Mexico into the United States, has never been higher and that the traffickers have never been more powerful or in control of more territory than they are now. ‘It’s getting worse. I’ve never seen it at this level before,’ said Coulson.” Earlier this month the lead Mexican investigator looking into Hartley’s murder was decapitated, and his head delivered to military officials in a suitcase. Meanwhile, last night, cartel gunmen murdered thirteen patients at a drug rehab facility in Tijuana, Mexico. The Devil’s soldiers walk among us on this earth.

Cyberwarfare: US Seeks To Shut Down Enemy Power Grids

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

While proponents of cybersecurity continually emphasize the necessity of passing legislation that will hand the Obama administration the power to shut down the Internet in the name of defending critical infrastructure, every indication suggests that cybersecurity is nothing less than an offensive agenda to enable the US government to launch its own attacks against other groups and countries. This fact is underscored again with a newly released Air Force manual that describes one aspect of the cybersecurity objective as “shutting down electrical power to key power grids of enemy leadership.

”So if an extremist group shuts down the US power grid, it’s a terrorist attack. If another country does it, it’s an act of war. But when the Air Force does it to someone else, it’s merely part of cybersecurity.“Noah Shachtman, a contributing editor to Wired magazine and a fellow at the Brookings Institute think tank, said even the limited mention of offensive operations in the manual surprised him,” reports the Washington Post.“That’s usually not the kind of thing we talk about doing to others,” Shachtman said. “The offensive stuff is supersecret.”We’re constantly being told that the threat of cyber warfare is so grave that the government needs to be empowered to close down parts of the world wide web on a whim with no congressional approval. And yet every notable act of cyber warfare has been launched by the United States government or its allies.ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOWCyberwarfare: US Seeks To Shut Down Enemy Power Grids 150709banner2Take the Stuxnet malware attack for example – which was specifically crafted to attack Iran’s Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor – we’re told that this is an ominous sign that deadly cyber warfare has begun and that cybersecurity legislation must be urgently passed to defend the US and its allies against such threats. And yet every indication suggests that Israel itself launched the attack to derail Iran’s nuclear energy program. After analyzing the coding behind Stuxnet in detail, Symantec’s Liam O’Murchu concluded that the most likely culprit behind the attack was Israel.“As for suggestions that Israeli intelligence may have authored the virus, O’Murchu noted that researchers had uncovered the reference to an obscure date in the worm’s code, May 9, 1979, which, he noted, was the date on which a prominent Iranian Jew, Habib Elghanian, who was executed by the new Islamic government shortly after the revolution,” reports Threat Post.

Attempted Coup d’Etat

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

Obama complains that the Constitution is “fundamentally flawed,” because it fails to provide for redistribution of wealth. Apparently he compares the Constitution unfavorably with “The Communist Manifesto.” Such thinking may have been understandable in a young college student who was unaware of the 100 million deaths attributable to communism, but it is inexcusable in a supposedly mature individual in a position of great power.

Obama fails to understand the fundamental goal of the Constitution − to reduce the risk of tyranny by limiting the power of the federal government. He sees this as a flaw, not as a virtue. He wants a “living Constitution,” meaning not the document as actually written, but a vague concept to be interpreted by liberal judges to mean whatever they want it to mean today. Tomorrow it may mean something else, depending on “current social needs” and “international norms.” I knew a guy in junior high school named Norm, but he had nothing to do with interpreting the Constitution.

Why the US has turned against Obama

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

After the 2008 elections, Democratic strategist James Carville predicted that Democrats would dominate US elections for 40 years; Republican strategist Karl Rove had predicted something similar for his party after George W Bush‘s narrower win in 2004. And Tony Blair’s New Labour dominated British politics for nine or 10 years after its first landslide victory in 1997. But the Obama Democrats’ dominance turned out to last not 40 years but 40 weeks – until Republicans overtook Democrats in the polls in August 2009. What gives? In the 1930s, John Maynard Keynes famously said that practical men of business, who acknowledged no intellectual influences, were actually the slaves of some defunct economist. Today I would say that the Obama Democrats, who acknowledge no intellectual superiors, have been the slaves of defunct political scientists and historians.

The Spirit World, Our Next Home

October 25, 2010 Leave a comment

As I’ve listened to and participated in conversations on “after death, what?” with students and family in various areas in the Church, I’ve nearly always found people expressed two feelings: a great desire to know about the post-earthly spirit world hereafter referred to as the spirit world, and an apologetic feeling for having questions, feeling as though the spirit world were a subject that we should not discuss.

My feeling is that caution in discussing a sacred subject is always proper, especially when much popular “information” in contemporary society about the spirit world involves sensational ghost stories, devil worship, and other problem areas. However, the desire to know is, in itself, a good one. Our beloved relatives who have passed on inhabit that world, and we will soon join them there. It is a healthy, holy subject and should be discussed in that attitude.

Furthermore, the Prophet Joseph Smith declared that the Saints should study the purpose of life and death, in fact should study it “more than any other” subject—“study it day and night.” He observed that “if we have any claim on our Heavenly Father for anything, it is for knowledge on this important subject.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 324; italics added.

Google admits that its Street View cars DID take emails and passwords from computers

October 24, 2010 Leave a comment

In an astonishing invasion of privacy, it admitted entire emails, web pages and even passwords were ‘mistakenly collected’ by antennae on its high-tech Street View cars…The Information Commissioner’s Office said it would launch a new investigation. Scotland Yard is already considering whether the company has broken the law.Google executive Alan Eustace issued a grovelling apology and said the company was ‘mortified’, adding: ‘We’re acutely aware that we failed badly.’…Google sent a fleet of specially equipped cars around Britain in 2008, armed with 360-degree cameras to gather photographs for its Street View project…Privacy fears followed when it emerged that individuals could be seen, including a man emerging from a sex shop in London’s Soho, three police officers arresting a man in Camden, North London, and children throwing stones at a house in Musselburgh, Scotland.Earlier this year the California-based firm admitted that the cars’ antennae had also scanned for wireless networks, including home wi-fi, which connect millions of personal computers to the internet.Google registered the location, name and identification code of millions of networks and entered them into a database to help it sell adverts…Google played down the significance of the wi-fi mapping and insisted it had not collected or stored data from personal computers.

It then backtracked and said its software had ‘inadvertently’ collected fragments of data which were being transmitted as the cars criss-crossed Britain. The cars’ antennae skipped networks five times a second, it said, meaning each network was only accessed for one-fifth of a second.

But it has now emerged that entire emails, web pages and passwords were copied and stored during that split-second.The information was only gathered from wireless networks which were not password-protected.

Orson Scott Card: Obama Spits on the Constitution

October 24, 2010 Leave a comment

Here’s what you do, if you’re Barack Obama. You appoint her to a much lower-level position, an advisory one that doesn’t require Senate confirmation.

But then you instruct the Secretary of the Treasury not to interfere with any of her decisions and make sure they’re carried out.Technically, she doesn’t have the position that requires Senate confirmation i.e., she doesn’t have the title or the salary. But she has all the power of that position, and the cabinet officer who was confirmed by the Senate has been told that this appointee has the ear of the President, which is code for “stay out of her way.”

The extremist who has been unconstitutionally given authority she has no right to hold is Elizabeth Warren, who is effectively running the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau without any checks and balances whatsoever unless we count Obama’s “firm hand”.Now, if Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner had any spunk at all, he would resign his position over this. Obama’s action is unconstitutional and politically stupid.

It shows his contempt for the Constitution. It shows his ignorance of and contempt for American business.Something as vital as consumer credit is no longer under the supervision of our elected representatives — now Obama and his cronies can do what’s “good” for us, without our opinions mattering at all.As the Wall Street Journal puts it: “Remind us again why the tea party critique of Obama governance is crazy.”If the Republican Party had any spunk, they would respond to this outrage by introducing a resolution of impeachment in the House of Representatives.

President Obama has clearly shown by this action that he despises his oath of office. He promised in that oath to “faithfully execute the office of President of the United States,” and avowed that he would “to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”Circumventing the advice-and-consent role of the Senate is a clear violation of the Constitution. Instead of preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution, he is doing his best to erase it, to make it meaningless. And the fact that the Democrats in the Senate are sitting still for this shows what depths the Democratic Party has sunk to. There was a day when, regardless of party loyalty, Congress would have acted at once to block a President for a power grab like this. After all, what is to stop him from appointing all kinds of unconfirmable radicals, morons, and otherwise offensive candidates as “advisers to the President” and then instruct cabinet officers to look the other way as these illegal appointees do whatever they want?

This Bill Will Give Obama Complete Power Over All Draft Age Persons 18-45

October 24, 2010 Leave a comment

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-5741I

received a call from a person who is trying to provide awareness for this bill, HR-5741. This bill will give Obama complete power over all draft age persons 18-45 My question is, do you think this is a valid concern when the Senate votes on this after the elections perhaps during the holidays I am also sending this to many candidates to help me understand if this could be passed as a part of the lame duck after the election.

Would the senate really enrage the people and pass this in a lame duck. I am looking for input as to whether I forward to everyone, as I think this would really upset people. And I want to make sure that this is a valid concern. In breif this is what power would be given to the president: To re-instate the draft To draft all persons – everyone from the ages of 18-42 to serve in some capacity for 2 years for the government To allow the president to create his National Security Force from the enlistments

Do We Doubt What Our Eyes Have Seen? [Good read]

October 24, 2010 Leave a comment

When Barack Obama was elected president, many of us were able to suspend disbelief that someone with as little leadership experience could gain the White House. This was made easier by the most anemic Republican campaign since Bob Dole ran for office. We put aside candidate Obama’s less-than-savory personal associations and inexperience and gave the newly elected president the benefit of doubt because of a hope that maybe, just maybe, this charismatic personality, the first black president in the history of the land, would truly unite the country, both racially and in a spirit of bipartisan middle-of-the-road politics.

This is what was promised the nation, and Obama deserved a chance to live up to his rhetoric. Two years later, Americans know the truth. Together with Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress, Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have slingshot the country so far to the political left that it was only a few months into Obama’s presidency that our nation witnessed the rebirth of conservatism.Said to be dead and buried by a fawning and sympathetic media and other politicos, conservatism, as represented by a broad spectrum of public grassroots movements, has arisen from interment to the point that, according to Democratic pollster Peter Hart in Wednesday’s Wall Street Journal, “It’s hard to say Democrats are facing anything less than a Category 4 hurricane.

“Nonetheless, races are tightening as we get closer to Nov. 2. This comes as no surprise since we now live in a country where allegiance to political correctness reshapes us in a mold of moral relativity, and worship for big government and entitlements has gotten to the point where the members of the left in America are so politically wedded to the false hopes of liberalism that they refuse see that French, English, Irish and German governments are bankrupt and reining in runaway deficit spending on entitlements as fast as they can. One wonders, does the left read newspapers?

So if Republicans reclaim the House of Representatives, and less likely the Senate, Democrats will have nobody to blame but themselves. There was no mandate for Obama, Pelosi and Reid to shove America so far to the left. That’s why Democrats are losing independents. They gave Obama the benefit of doubt with their vote, and he has betrayed them with a far-left political agenda, the signature legislation being a massive and disastrous health care entitlement bought and paid for by Pelosi’s political threats and bribery.

Lt. Col. Allen West takes lead in House race

Several polls suggested the small percentage of undecideds probably ultimately will be the deciding factor.
