The only question I now have about the “LA Missile Launch”…
…There were no less than 65 other jet aircraft, commercial and corporate not counting any military aircraft in the same area at roughly the same time, both inbound to the USA and outbound.
So… lets forget a minute that both MOA W289 and W289N were active at that time which would have prohibited any overflight in that area anyway…
So, if the meteorological conditions at altitude were such that it produced a magnificent plume, where are all the other plumes from any of the other 60 plus aircraft that would have been in the same area of sky, same alt, same meteorological condition at the same time?
Huge contrails such as this are common, but normally in much colder conditions. I crew flights to Europe many times a year and during the winter months, the contrails from passengers jets in the North Atlantic Track System are magnificent.
But these occur above 55 North Latitude.Do contrails occur over Southern California?Sure they do, but… where are the others from the aircraft we know were airborne at the same time, same/similar altitude, same block of airspace.
Here is an amazing examples…
