Should Main Stream Media MSM control the internet?
Most of us are probably old enough to remember when the mainstream media controlled EVERY SINGLE WORD that was spoken, written, viewed and heard. The public library was about what the MSM wanted.
Letters to the editor was what the MSM approved. Actually it was not that long ago.Average people like you and I couldn’t make a web page or write our own blog or add a comment unless the owners of the MSM approved it. They controlled every aspect of the media and every aspect of what your peers in society read and saw.
I know about you, but I don’t wish to go back to those days. We need full net neutrality for all Americans. The MSM wants to have that control over us again and they want to end the right of websites such as your own blog, and Free Republic and others unless they will pay the tariff and exorbitant amount for special mainstream tier access.
I’ve already informed my Congressman and Senator that we need an unlimited, uncensored right to comment and compose on the internet, and do not want the MSM limiting what we have to say – not that 100K deposited in their bank accounts won’t change their mind.
Amazing Interview: Air Force General says “Sub Launched Missile, 100% Certain”
Hannity was surprised to hear a famous ex Air Force General tell him “That Is A Missile, Shot From A Submarine!”
I quote retired Air Force Lieutenant General Tom McInerney ex commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska “I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in, I have watched that film 10 times, I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft, but a sub launch ICBM missile!!!”
See the video and judge his words for yourself.

Guess which company owns a large manufacturer of backscatter x-ray devices?
Give up? The Chertoff Group which is a security consulting agency run by former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.
That’s right, in the wake of the Christmas Day bomber Chertoff has been pushing for more and more of these full body image scanners and it’s no wonder considering that this is going to put a large chunk of money in his pocket. Go figure!

Britain’s top soldier says al-Qaeda cannot be beaten
Britain’s top soldier says al-Qaeda cannot be beaten The new head of Britain’s armed forces, Gen Sir David Richards, has warned that the West cannot defeat al-Qaeda and militant Islam.By Sean Rayment, Defence Correspondent 9:30PM GMT 13 Nov 2010He said defeating Islamist militancy was “unnecessary and would never be achieved”.However, he argued that it could be “contained” to allow Britons to lead secure lives.
Gen Richards, 58, said the threat posed by “al-Qaeda and its affiliates” meant Britain’s national security would be at risk for at least 30 years. The general, who will tomorrow lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Whitehall in memory of Britain’s war dead, said the West’s war against what he described as a “pernicious ideology” had parallels with the fight against Nazi Germany in the Second World War.

Why George W. Bush Should Still Worry : Information Clearing House: ICH
In his memoir which some wise people have already moved in bookstores to the CRIME section George W. Bush admitted that he authorized that detainees be waterboarded, tortured, a crime under US and international law.Bush’s crime confession coincides with reports that no one will face criminal charges from the US Department of Justice for the destruction of 92 CIA videotapes which contained interrogations using waterboarding.Where is the accountability for these crimes?Bush and other criminals will be brought to justice if the Center for Constitutional Rights CCR and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights ECCHR have their way.CCR and ECCHR jointly intervened into a criminal investigation in Spain examining the role of former civilian and military officials from the Bush administration in the commission of international law violations, including torture.
The investigation is ongoing and includes the crimes that Bush admitted he authorized.CCR and ECCHR made it clear that they are committed to pursuing criminal accountability and Bush’s confessions help.
In a joint statement they said:“As Attorney General Eric Holder stated during his confirmation hearings, waterboarding is torture. Calling these acts what they are, torture, is not the result of differing legal ‘opinion,’ as Bush states; it is a matter of law.
Harold Koh, the State Department Legal Adviser, confirmed this in Geneva last week, stating during the U.S. Universal Periodic Review that “the Obama administration defines waterboarding as torture as a matter of law” and it is not a ‘policy choice.’
“There are no circumstances or excuses—including ‘national security’—under domestic and international law that allow for the use of torture. And there is an obligation to investigate and prosecute torture.
“Bush’s decision to authorize torture and other illegal acts against detainees held in U.S. custody led to the use of torture at Guantánamo, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in secret prisons by U.S. forces, and contractors, certain allies and the national forces in Iraq and Afghanistan…
Thank a Vet? : Information Clearing House: ICH
We’ve all seen the bumper stickers: “My son is in the Air Force,” “If You Can Read This in English, Thank a Marine,” “Proud Vietnam Veteran,” “Fly Navy,” and of course, “Thank a Vet.
“Why should we?Why should we call them heroes, give them military discounts, grant them veterans preference, express our support for them with ribbons on our cars, honor them with a holiday, hold military appreciation church services for them, and thank them for their “service”?
Veterans Day began as Armistice Day to commemorate the signing of the armistice that ended World War I. It had nothing to do with honoring current and former members of the military like Veterans Day is celebrated today. And if the sole purpose of Armistice Day was to honor World War I veterans, it should never have been celebrated since no American soldier did anything honorable by intervening in a European foreign war.
And it doesn’t matter if he was drafted or not.Britain’s last World War I combat veteran, Harry Patch, died last year at the age of 111. He boasted that he hadn’t killed anyone in combat. “War isn’t worth one life,” Patch said, it is “calculated and condoned slaughter of human beings.”
In his autobiography The Last Fighting Tommy, Patch wrote that “politicians who took us to war should have been given the guns and told to settle their differences themselves, instead of organising nothing better than legalised mass murder.” In the last years of his life, Patch warned some young naval recruits that they shouldn’t join.
Frank Buckles, age 109, is the only American veteran of World War I still living. When asked while being honored for his service at a 2007 Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery what he thought about being there while the United States was at war, he replied: “I’m no authority, but I’m not in favor of war unless it’s an emergency.
” I think that Buckles is more of an authority on the horrors of war and the folly and wickedness of war than the current members of the Joint Chiefs. It is only because World War I did not turn out to be the “war to end all wars” that the holiday was changed to Veterans Day as a tribute to all soldiers who fought for their country.
Although I believe World War II to be neither necessary nor good, I come not on this Veterans Day to criticize the “greatest generation,” who, it turns out, were also great at pillaging and carousing…

GORDON DUFF: IN MOTION: THE PLOT TO DESTROY THE UNITED STATES : Veterans Today
Plans are in motion for a “false flag” attack on America.
Iran will be blamed, everyone knows that and Iran will be totally innocent. This is the last thing Iran would ever want.
The most likely scenario is a nuclear attack.
Two bombs are missing, bombs built by Israel in South Africa and lost long ago.
These were supposedly Saddam’s bombs.
Now we are told Iran has them. Israel has had them all along and the fear, they may be inside the United States already. The Israeli game with these weapons is one of the worst kept secrets in the world and has already cost the deaths of many.
It will take nothing short of the detonation of one of this Hiroshima sized Israeli nukes to push America into Israel’s war with Iran, much as hunting for these nukes which Israel informed President Bush were in Iraq, led “the decider” to making one of the many blunders of his career.
Our next 9/11 will be nuclear. The purpose will be to push America into a 20 year war that will destroy Iran and Pakistan, take oil to over $300 per barrel and collapse the dollar and Euro. Iran isn’t Iraq of 2003, toothless and starving.
This will be America’s last military adventure, and the end of America’s place in the world as we know it.
We know the details of the proposed military campaign and the military and political leaders who support it are the worst imaginable incompetents and traitors…

Federal government’s refusal to acknowledge nationwide outrage could set the scene for states’ rights confrontation

Big Sis has slapped travel and pilots associations in the face after a meeting designed to address the burgeoning backlash surrounding naked body scanners as well as new invasive groping measures ended in nothing more than a glib Homeland Security press release that failed completely to offer any reasonable response to the national outrage against the TSA.
The DHS press release [2] not only fails to address any of the concerns surrounding health risks posed by radiation scanners [3], pat downs of children that amount to sexual molestation, or the TSA’s own lackluster background checks for its employees that have allowed rapists and illegal aliens to work in airport security [4], it actually only reiterates that the same if not even more invasive policies will continue to be followed.
The statement encourages Americans to spy on each other under the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign, but unfortunately for the feds, the only people saying something are the one third of tourists who have made a pretty big statement by refusing to travel to the United States as a result of the TSA’s oppressive security policies.
Even the US Army, as an occupying force in a foreign country, now refuses to make Afghan citizens submit to the same treatment Americans are subjected to by the TSA and Homeland Security.
“A US Army staff sergeant, now serving in Afghanistan, writes about the new enhanced pat-down procedure from the TSA. Summary of his very powerful message: to avoid giving gross offense to the Afghan public, and to prevent the appearance of an uncontrolled security state, the US military forbids use on Afghan civilians of the very practices the TSA is now making routine for civilian travelers at US airports,” explains the Atlantic’s James Fallows [5].
The federal government is attempting to diffuse the controversy by simply refusing to acknowledge its existence, and hoping prominent industry heads will simply drop the issue entirely. Read more…

“America will fall without a shot being fired. It will fall from within.” – Nikita KrushchevFrom the dawn of civilization ambitious men have set out to rule the masses by the sword, the spear and the arrow.
The lust to rule is buried deep inside the neurons of those who carry the gene that drives them to seek absolute power by any means. The reason for their butchery and savagery is irrelevant, be it religion, land, or resources, or just plain insanity. It is just the exercise of raw power for the sake of ego.In the name of conquest, kings, despots and dictators have taken the lives of more people and shed more blood than most of the dreaded diseases that have decimated cultures since the early Egyptians.
And now, man’s capacity to kill hundreds of thousands or even millions, lies within his grasp upon cracking the unimaginable power of the atom…
Reject the Welfare/Warfare State by Ron Paul
Last week’s midterm elections have been characterized as a victory for grassroots Americans who are fed up with Washington and the political status quo. In particular, the elections are being touted as a clear indicator that voters demand reductions in federal spending, deficits, and debt.
If the new Congress hopes to live up to the expectations of Tea Party voters, however, it faces some daunting choices.
For all the talk about pork and waste, the truth is that Congress cannot fix the budget and get our national debt under control by trimming fat and eliminating earmarks for “Bridges to Nowhere.”Real reductions in federal spending can be achieved only by getting to the meat of the federal budget, meaning expenditures in all areas. The annual budget soon will be $5 trillion unless Congress takes serious steps to reduce spending for entitlements, military, and debt service. Yet how many Tea Party candidates who campaigned on a platform of spending cuts talked about Social Security, Medicare, foreign wars, or bond debt?
With regard to entitlements, the 2010 Social Security and Medicare Trustees report tells it all. It paints a stark picture of two entitlement programs that cannot be sustained under even the rosiest scenarios of economic growth. No one, regardless of political stripe, can deny the fundamental problem of unfunded future liabilities in both programs. We should understand that Social Security was intended primarily to prevent old widows from becoming destitute. Life expectancy in 1935 was only about 65, when there were several workers for each Social Security recipient.
The program was never intended to be a general transfer payment from young workers to older retirees, regardless of those retirees’ financial need. Yet today Social Security faces an unfunded liability of approximately $18 trillion.First, Congress needs to stop using payroll taxes…

US Air, Stop the Lies by Kathryn Muratore
In a letter dated Nov 3rd, Jan Fitz stated that there were no concessions that US Air was willing to make regarding my trip to California in December. I received the letter on Nov 8th, and received a call from a representative named Cheryl on the afternoon of Nov 9th.
Cheryl was very polite and stated that US Air would in fact waive the change ticket fee of $150. She also connected me to Reservations and I did change my ticket so that I will now be flying out of the nearest airport without a scanner. For the privilege of not having my natural human right to protection of my own body violated, I am being charged by your company an extra $90, paying to rent a car and child seat one-way, will be driving 4 hours, and will be flying an additional 3 hours including an additional layover. I hope you can see why I find Cheryl’s new offer unsatisfactory, and I told her that when I spoke with her.
The letter that Jan Fitz wrote to me says: “US Airways likes to ensure the safest trip possible for all of our passengers.” I don’t know whether Jan is lying or just very poorly informed, and it certainly does not seem like she read my initial letter. US Airways, and all of the other airlines, has ceded control of passenger safety slowly over the last 40 years, and at an accelerated pace in the last decade.
You have ceded control to a government bureaucracy, which, by its very nature is inclined to be wasteful, incompetent, and corrupt. How is this at all consistent with ensuring passenger safety?Cheryl started her conversation with me by saying that she understood my concern about the scanner. I would like to repeat here what I told her: I seriously doubt that she understands my concern. If she did, I would not be offered a mere pittance of a waiver of the penalty fee for changing my ticket.
In a letter dated Nov 6th, I shared how deep my concern is rooted: I was in tears last weekend as I contemplated the corner that the airline industry has backed me into. I must either become a victim of voyeurism or become a victim of sexual assault in order to take my daughter to see her grandparents, great aunt, great uncle, and great grandmother for Christmas. Not only that, but I have to make the same choice for my child.
I absolutely will not allow either of us to be victims of abuse.
The Not So Gradual Degradation of a Nation by Sibel Edmonds
Paying To Be Raped
Every single day millions of us are being subjected to the shameful processes of being searched, screened and viewed naked, patted, groped, fondled, poked and stroked by badge-wearing strangers – police under a different name.
Every single day. Millions of us, Americans. Being violated. Being degraded. You know exactly what I am talking about. I am taking about me, you, your mother, her brother, his brother’s wife and toddler son, their grandmothers. I am talking about the systematic degradation of our people.
I am talking about being raped of our dignity, privacy, and decency. I am talking about a daily systematic rape we actually pay to be subjected to.
I am talking about severe violations we elect people to bring upon us. Yes, I am talking about traveling, TSA police, and being reduced to naked and helpless subjects of government police practices.Considering its short tenure, the motherland police force, aka Department of Homeland Security, has had a one-of-a-kind success. In less than a decade it is now the third largest cabinet police department.
It has around 200,000 employees, and that’s without counting contract employees – which exceed this number. Now remember, we still have the FBI, CIA, NSA, DIA…plus all the other state and local police forces from before. TSA makes up over 60,000 of DHS employees. This 60,000 federal police force oversees 450 airports, so that makes it around 133 police per airport.
And that’s in addition to local airport police.
Is Glenn Beck an anti-Semite? Fox host slammed by Anti-Defmation League for attack on George Soros
Glenn Beck is in trouble for mouthing off, again.
The Anti-Defamation League slammed the conservative Fox News host for accusing liberal philanthropist George Soros of helping Nazis to send Jews to their deaths during the Holocaust.
Beck said on the radio this week that Soros — as a 13-year-old Jewish boy living apart from his parents in Hungary — “used to go around with this anti-Semite and deliver papers to the Jews and confiscate their property and then ship them off. …
It was frightening. Here’s a Jewish boy helping send the Jews to the death camps.”Excerpt Read more at nydailynews.com …
Facecrime by Doug Hornig
In late September, there was a modest gathering of law enforcement officers, military personnel, and mental health professionals in the small western New York town of Hamburg. It was totally ignored by the mainstream media, with just a reporter from the Buffalo News on hand to record the proceedings.
Lucky for us.The 120 men and women were attending the International First Responder-Military Symposium, held at Hilbert College, a small “Franciscan tradition” place of learning.
Not that St. Francis would have been interested in a military symposium, but if he’d been able to attend, he’d have heard all about a new technology that will help identify and track “terrorists.”
A lot of very disparate people have been tagged with that term of late. But this new tech may well be the final icing on the cake. It’s a computer program that trawls phone conversations, emails, and social networking sites looking for any signs of resentment of the government. That’s right. If you’re angry at Washington, they want to know who you are and what you’re saying.
The program has just been rolled out, and there’s no certainty that the cops or the Pentagon will jump at the chance to own it.
But in the current climate, what’s the likelihood that they’ll turn up their noses at the opportunity to add this valuable weapon to their anti-terrorist arsenal?

Janet Napolitano rebuffed industry concerns at a White House meeting today, frustrating pilot & tourism representatives worried about an economic backlash and traveler revolt

In a hastily-called emergency meeting at the White House today, DHS director Janet Napolitano told [2] representatives from the most powerful pilot’s union as well as the travel & tourism lobbies that despite the backlash [3] of concerns about airport security, TSA’s use of invasive body scanners and humiliating patdowns, including the groping of passenger’s breasts and genitals, would continue. The frustrated executives were anything but satisfied by her statements.
Does Sarah Palin have a George Soros mole in her inner circle?
Does Sarah Palin have a George Soros mole in her inner circle? The answer may very well be “yes” according to federal disclosure forms unearthed just a short time ago.
A Republican lobbyist by the name of Randy Scheunemann operates a consulting firm in the Washington, D.C., area called Orion Strategies. Scheunemann has been with Palin ever since she was picked by John McCain to be his running mate for the 2008 presidential election campaign.
Currently, Scheunemann is Palin’s foreign policy advisor and one of her top aides. Since 2008, Scheunemann’s influence in the Palin camp has only grown larger; he accompanied her, for instance, to Hong Kong in late 2009 for her speech there. However, since 2003, Scheunemann and his firm have also been retained by one of George Soros’ organizations for the purpose of lobbying work.
This begs the question, Is Palin getting good advice from Scheunemann, or is he an advocate for Soros-style ideas?

Ted Koppel: Olbermann, O’Reilly and the death of real news
It was an imperfect, untidy little Eden of journalism where reporters were motivated to gather facts about important issues. We didn’t know that we could become profit centers.
No one had bitten into that apple yet.The transition of news from a public service to a profitable commodity is irreversible. Legions of new media present a vista of unrelenting competition. Advertisers crave young viewers, and these young viewers are deemed to be uninterested in hard news, especially hard news from abroad.
This is felicitous, since covering overseas news is very expensive. On the other hand, the appetite for strongly held, if unsubstantiated, opinion is demonstrably high. And such talk, as they say, is cheap.Broadcast news has been outflanked and will soon be overtaken by scores of other media options.
The need for clear, objective reporting in a world of rising religious fundamentalism, economic interdependence and global ecological problems is probably greater than it has ever been.
But we are no longer a national audience receiving news from a handful of trusted gatekeepers; we’re now a million or more clusters of consumers, harvesting information from like-minded providers…
The Mythical United States of America: Rushing into Backwardness
The mythical United States of America so highly lauded exists nowhere. It is a Shangri-la. The Preamble of the Constitution makes perfectly clear what kind of nation the United States was meant to be.
What exists today fulfills none of those goals. Some have argued that the nation was a fraud from day one. Whether accurate or not, what is clear is that it most certainly was quickly murdered by John Marshall, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who wrote the decision known as Marbury v. Madison.
Since that day, the Court has replicated England’s seventeenth century political economy absent only the monarchy. Today’s United States of America is a seventeenth century nation adorned with twenty first century trinkets, many deadly. Instead of being as it claims “the leader of the free world,” it is a backward authoritarian pre-enlightenment reactionary regime. Because my OED is inaccessible at the moment, I cannot specify exactly when the word ‘philanthropy,’ which etymologically means “love of mankind,” came to be applied to the donating of money to build self aggrandizing enterprises.
But alas, it has! People seem to have a way of twisting meanings in ways that make the malevolent appear benevolent. And so, enterprises of all kinds have been funded by such ‘philanthropy.’For instance, Carnegie Mellon University was founded by Andrew Carnegie, Andrew W. and Richard B. Mellon; Cornell University was founded by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White; Purdue University was founded by John Purdue; Rice University was founded by William Marsh Rice; Stanford University was founded by Leland Stanford and his wife.
There are hundreds more.
