What Creation Awaits…Romans 8 Posted on January 1, 2011 by billrandles For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God..(Romans 8:20-22)
A christian, as we have seen, is a man who lives between two Ages. The present evil age is an age of sin, death, decay, and weakness. But we have been resurrected out of it, like Lazarus, for we now have life, and righteousness from God.
Yet we are living in this age, and not the Age of righteousness to come. We are still clothed in a “body of sin”, even a “body of death”.Our body has not been redeemed, it is still subject to lust, sin, decay and weakness. We await the final salvation, the redemption of our bodies.
Like Lazarus in his grave-clothes, we are somewhat bound. Life and Righteousness for the time being, remain swaddled in death and decay. I am a man out of my time, I await the Age of Life and Righteousness.
Evidently, so does the Creation itself. All of creation is (lit) on tip toes awaiting the time when the Life and Righteousness of those who have been made sons of God, is finally and fully revealed.
By the expression, “All creation” Paul is not referring to Angels, fallen or unfallen, for he will go on to say that this same creation “was made subject to vanity”, and awaits deliverance from it. This doesn’t describe God’s angels.
Neither does this expression refer to Men, saved or unsaved, for further on Paul, says, “not only they, but we also who have the first fruits of the spirit”, thus distinguishing we believers as also being in waiting . Furthermore we know unsaved men do not “eagerly wait” for the day of revelation.
“The creature”, or literally ‘the creation’, refers to ‘brute creation”, that is everything, rocks ,hills, trees, animals, oceans, in short, all but men and Angels, is anticipating, and in fact groaning for a certain day of release.
The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.(Isaiah 24:3-5)
Creation ‘knows ‘ that something is not right, it is said to be laboring under a curse, there is a sense in which creation is morally sensitive to man’s doings. Remember God’s warnings to Israel, that the land itself would vomit them out of it, should they follow the abominations of the Canaanites?
*For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly,
Here we learn God’s account of why the world is the way it is, with all of its suffering, death and disappointment. When Adam and Eve fell away from God, a curse of futility was put on the Creation.
This is the meaning of the “vanity of vanities” that the preacher decries in Ecclesiastes, the “crookedness( about the world) that cannot be straightened”, this is not man-made, nor even Satanic in origin, it was introduced into creation at the fall by God himself!
Under this curse of futility, man could never quite be at home in God’s beautiful world, in a state of estrangement from God.He would always come short, there would always be an element of insecurity, man would have to a pilgrim.
*but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope -
On the day in Genesis 3, that God put a curse of futility on creation, he also included a word of hope. The seed of the woman would one day come and crush the serpent’s head, implying that the curse would be reversed on man and creation.
*Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The fate of creation has been linked with the fate of mankind, is man in bondage to vanity, sin, death? So also shall creation be.
But on the day that man is finally and fully delivered, so also shall creation be delivered from its weary cycle of birth, corruption, death and decay. Our full salvation will also be the salvation of the world itself .
This is not something Creation can do to itself, Creation is going to be liberated at the coming of Jesus Christ, in the “regeneration of all things”, and somehow it knows it and anticipates this.
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Today I learned that Madras High School in the little town of Madras, Oregon is the latest government institution to allow students to pay for their lunch with the swipe of a hand.
Only yesterday in a related event, Chief of Police Jack Schmidig of Bergen County, NJ, a member of the police force for over 30 years, received a VeriChip implant as part of Applied Digital Solution’s strategy of enlisting key regional leaders to accelerate adoption of its product.
Kevin H. McLaughlin, VeriChip Corporation’s CEO said of the event that “High-profile regional leaders are accepting the VeriChip, representing an excellent example of our approach to gaining adoption of the technology.”
The new and aggressive indoctrination program – Thought and Opinion Leaders to Play Key Role in Adoption of VeriChip – is intended to create widespread acceptance and exponential adaptation of the company’s FDA-cleared, human-implantable RFID tag.
Earlier this year ADS provided testimony that safeguards have been implemented to ensure privacy in connection with implantable microchips. ADS received patent rights to Digital Angel (TM) technology on December 10, 1999. What set Digital Angel apart from the competition was the innovative design–a miniature digital transceiver specifically created for human implantation. According to information released last year the implantable transceiver “sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology. The transceiver’s power supply and actuation system are unlike anything ever created. When implanted within a body, the device is powered electromechanically through the movement of muscles, and it can be activated either by the ‘wearer’ or by the monitoring facility.
An Information Technology report verified plans to study implantable chips as a method of tracking terrorists. After first pulling back from the implantable version of its Digital Angel, ADS foresees a unique use of its product under the new name VeriChip in the wake of terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. “We’ve changed out thinking since September 11,” a company spokesman said, “Now there’s more of a need to monitor evil activities.”
ADS also claims the VeriChip (Digital Angel) has a variety of other uses, such as “providing a tamper-proof means of identification for enhanced e-business security, animal tracking, locating lost or missing individuals, tracking the location of valuable property and monitoring the medical conditions of at-risk patients.”
Following the Internet World Wireless award for “Best of Show: Client Services,” Mercedes Walton, President and CEO of Applied Digital Solutions, said: We have always had high expectations for the Digital Angel products. This award is truly a validation of our faith in Digital Angel’s ability to capture the imagination of the public. Consumer anticipation has translated into accelerated interest from potential partners and allies. We are eager to bring Digital Angel to the marketplace in a very timely manner….”
To further advocate Digital Angel technology, Applied Digital Solutions launched a website www.digitalangel.net where viewers can peruse diagrams and read summary information.
Other manufacturers of sub-skin implants have quietly field-tested similar devices over the past few years. The London Times reported that, “Film stars and the children of millionaires are among 45 people, including several Britons, who have been fitted with the chips (called the Sky Eye) in secret tests.”

THOSE “OTHER” SIGNS OF THE DAYS OF NOAH
“As laboratories incubate new blends of man and machine…. The path of progress cuts through the four-way intersection of the moral, medical, religious and political—and whichever way you
turn, you are likely to run over someone’s deeply held beliefs. Venter’s bombshell [the creation of the synthetic life “Synthia”] revived the oldest of ethical debates, over whether scientists were playing God or proving he does not exist because someone re-enacted Genesis in suburban Maryland.” —Nancy Gibbs, Time magazine
“If Christians are to help shape contemporary culture—particularly in a setting in which I fear the posthuman message will prove attractive, if not seductive—then they must offer an alternative and compelling vision; a counter theological discourse so to speak.” —Brent Waters, Director of the Jerre L. and Mary Joy Stead Center for Ethics and Values
Earlier in this series, we pointed out how the English theologian George Hawkins Pember, in his 1876 masterpiece, Earth’s Earliest Ages, studied the book of Matthew—where Jesus in answering His disciples concerning the signs of His coming and of the end of the world said it would be “as the days of Noah were”—and concluded from it that the most fearful sign of the end times would be the reappearance upon earth “of beings from the Principality of the Air, and their unlawful intercourse with the human race.”
We have built on this concept as well, suggesting that parallels between human-modifying technology and what the ancient Watchers did in creating Nephilim may be no coincidence at all; that a dark conspiracy could be unfolding by way of GRIN sciences and transhumanist philosophy that specifically allows the fulfillment of the prophecy “as it was in the days of Noah.”
But if indeed Satan has initiated an extraordinary conspiracy to revive species-altering supernaturalism as existed in Noah’s day, and assuming there is a gap between that sign and when God removes His own from this planet, the church as the body of Christ and God’s representation on earth could play a unique role as the instrument through which the Almighty, on behalf of His creation, will engage this evil. True believers are the salt of the earth and the only social influence identified in Scripture as the power against which the gates of hell cannot prevail. This, friends, unveils good news, because while Nephilim were on earth during (and after) the antediluvian age, this was not the only “sign” related to ancient days. There were other signs too, as illustrated in the Bible, having to do with God’s covenant people and their unequaled ability through faith to turn back Nephilim plans. “As it was in the days of Noah” points to this fact as well.
Consider how King Saul in 1063 BC stared across his tent into the eyes of the unproven and youngest son of Jesse. By chance, the teenager named David had come on a mission for his father to deliver food and gather information regarding the welfare of his brothers. On his arrival, Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, stood up at his camp across the Valley of Elah and once again challenged the armies of Israel to send a warrior out against him. Two times per day for the past forty days the fearsome giant had terrified Saul’s army, crying over the steep basin to the ranks of Israel:
“Why set the battle in array? Am I not a Philistine and you servants of Saul? Choose a man from among yourselves and let him come down to me.” Goliath challenged. “If he is able to fight with me and to kill me, then we will become your servants; but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall become our servants. I defy the ranks of Israel; give me a man that we may decide the outcome of this conflict in a single fight!”
On seeing and hearing this spectacle, David learned how Saul was promising a rich reward to any man who could defeat the nine-foot-tall menace. David’s response was one of dismay at the lack of Israel’s faith. “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” he asked among the soldiers (1 Samuel 17:26). When Saul heard of it, he sent for the lad. But now, standing here in front of him, unable to fill his armor, the ruddy kid didn’t look like much of a killer. Then David told him about slaying a lion and later a bear in defense of his father’s sheep, and Saul relented.
With nothing but a staff, a sling, and five smooth stones, David emerged on the battlefield and ran toward Goliath. When the chiseled Philistine saw the fair-skinned youth approaching, he looked around, scoffed, then thundered, “Am I a dog, that you send a boy at me with a stick!?” Cursing in the name of his gods, he sneered, “Come on then, and I will give your flesh as supper to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field.”
But David shocked everybody with his retort. “You come at me with a sword and a shield, but I am coming in the name of the Lord of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied,” he cried. “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand; and I will smite you, and take your head off, and your carcass is the one the birds of the air and the beasts of the field will dine on!” With that, David rushed forward, let the stone go from his sling, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Why is this story important to this book? Because Goliath was a Nephilim, and was defeated by a young servant of God. If the arrival of these beings or the spirit of their sins is the preeminent sign of the end times, David defeating one is germane as well. This, too, is an important prophetic symbol.
“We are now living in a new era of time called post Judeo/Christian America”

Forever Stamps Tell Us Much
Financial Sense ^ | Fri, 31 Dec 2010 | by Peter D Schiff

The United States Postal Service announced this week that all future first class postage stamps sold will be the so-called “forever stamps” that have no face value but are guaranteed to cover the cost of mailing a first class letter, regardless of how high that cost may rise in the future. Currently these stamps are sold for 44 cents, but will increase in price if and when the Post Office hikes rates.
Apart from sounding the death knell of the one cent stamp, the news is interesting on two fronts: it provides insight into remarkably irresponsible government accounting, and it provides investors with the most attractive Federally-guaranteed inflation protected asset available on the market today.
Over the past fifty years, the USPS has raised the rates on first class postage 20 times. During that time the stamp prices have gone up more than 1,100%. Given the increasing frequency of rate hikes (three in the last four years) the Post Office claims it made the move to forever stamps to save money on printing costs and to increase customer convenience. The public seems to appreciate the product and has snapped up a staggering 28 billion forever stamps since they became available in 2007.
But the real reason behind the permanent switch is that it allows the Post Office to hide its insolvency behind phony accounting numbers, setting itself up for a massive taxpayer financed bailout in the not too distant future.
