“On the morning of February 23, he saw the first U.S. flag go up on Suribachi’s peak, followed shortly thereafter by the second, larger flag, the raising of which was immortalized at 1/400th second in Rosenthal‘s famous photograph. Akikusa’s descriptions up to this point correspond completely to American accounts of the event.
But what followed afterward appears to contradict the official U.S. Naval version of the battle.The following morning, as Akikusa relates in his book, “It was not the Stars & Stripes, but the Nissho-ki Japanese Sun flag that was waving.
Even though the peak was the target of attack from every direction on the island, I thought how hard they must have fought, and tears naturally came to my eyes.
The valiant fighters were defending Mt. Suribachi to the death.”The U.S. troops quickly hauled down the Japanese standard and replaced it with their own flag. But early the next morning, February 25, “the Nissho-ki was once again fluttering in the morning sunshine. It was a dazzling, beautiful sight.”
“The flag was a different one from the day before,” Akikusa recalls. “It was a smaller one, and square. It may have been improvised. The red circle in the center looked brownish, so it could have been blood.”"It may have been made out of a shirt. It moved me to tears. ‘Our guys are still up there,’ I thought.

Allen West, R-Fla., warned a member of a town hall meeting audience who had challenged him to identify a single verse in the Quran that tells Muslims to attack America.
The comments came earlier this week at Pompano Beach, Fla., during a question-and-answer time at his meeting. A questioner identified by the Palm Beach Post as Nezar Hamze, executive director for a branch of the Council for American Islamic Relations, confronted West, demanding that he point out where in the Quran are the orders for Muslims to attack America.
“You recently told the Marines that the terrorists that attacked the United States, the people that are attacking America, are following Islam, and they are following the instructions of the Quran,” he said.”So, a very simply question. I’m not going to take a lot of your time.
Can you show me one verse in this Quran where it says to attack America, attack Americans, or attack innocent people?” he said.West noted the Quran was written in the 8th or 9th centuries and America didn’t exist at the time, but noted, “The truth is out there.”

A Warning About Things to Come
Have you seen the television pictures of the tens of thousands of demonstrators at the Wisconsin State Capitol who are protesting proposed budget cuts for state employees? If so, you’ve had an advance peek at the sort of demonstrations that will take place if state legislatures are foolish enough to pass resolutions asking Congress to call a national convention to consider amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
Barack Obama’s political arm, “Organizing for America,” swelled the crowds by busing in protesters from Wisconsin and from other states, too. A national convention to amend the U.S. Constitution would become the media event of the century, with 24/7 TV coverage, giving us every reason to anticipate that “Organizing for America” would flood the process of electing delegates and then demonstrate to hurl demands on their deliberations.
All of a sudden, as though someone gave the signal, resolutions are pending in several state legislatures to use the never-before-used power set forth in Article V to petition Congress to “call a Convention for proposing Amendments.” This campaign exploits the frustration of many Americans with Congress’s out-of-control spending, increase in the national debt with much of it borrowed from China and passage of laws, such as ObamaCare, that severely limit our freedoms.
Many state legislators are promising that a convention would be limited to consideration of only one specific amendment. No way. Article V clearly specifies that a convention is for the purpose of “proposing Amendments” note the plural…………………….

Is the U.S. government going to shutdown on March 4th, 2011?
Possibly.
The current temporary funding extension expires on that day. Speaker of the House John Boehner has pledged that the Republicans in the House will not pass another temporary funding extension that does not include “deep” cuts.
Barack Obama has pledged that he will veto the 61 billion dollars of budget cuts that the House of Representatives has just passed.
So now Boehner and Obama are playing a really bizarre game of chicken, and if neither of them blinks the U.S. government will shut down on March 4th. So what will that mean? Well, in a “government shutdown”, the entire government does not actually shut down. Rather, only “essential personnel” are kept on during a shutdown and only “essential services” are provided.
Barack Obama would keep showing up at the White House and the U.S. military would continue to do their thing. But it would cause a temporary disruption to a lot of government activities that people normally rely on.In the end, however, a shutdown of the U.S. government would not really make much of a difference at all unless it went on for a number of months. “As the late Saul Alinsky admonished in his “Rules for Radicals,” “the community organizer … must first rub raw the resentments of the people; fan the latent hostilities to the point of overt expression.”After Obama goaded the demonstrators, the protests swelled. All 14 Democratic state senators fled to Illinois to paralyze the upper chamber by denying it a quorum. Teachers went on strike, left kids in the classroom and came to Madison. Schools shut down.Jesse Jackson arrived.
The White House political machine went into overdrive to sustain the crowds in Madison and other capitals and use street pressure to break governments seeking to peel back the pay, perks, privileges and power of public employee unions that are the taxpayer-subsidized armies of the Democratic Party.Marin County millionairess Nancy Pelosi, doing a poor imitation of Emma Goldman, announced, “I stand in solidarity with the Wisconsin workers fighting for their rights, especially for all the students and young people leading the charge.

First, we are not “birthers” as you and others want the rest of the world to believe.
Unlike you, we want to know the truth. We do not accept an announcement or two that could be placed by anyone or a COLB wonder if you know what that is? as proof that a candidate is a natural born Citizen, as stated in Article II, Section I, paragraph 5 of the U. S. Constitution, qualified to be President of my country.
Your pontification with Megyn Kelly the other night leads me and others to suspect that you are as much a part of what is wrong with America as the 100+ years of progressive rule.
You should pay more attention to Glenn Beck, who always says, “Question with impunity.” Your lack of integrity is apparent on this subject……………..

Barack Obama recently made the following statement to American families that are struggling to survive in this economy: “If you’re a family trying to cut back, you might skip going out to dinner, or you might put off a vacation.” A few days after making that statement Obama sent his wife and children off on yet another vacation, this time to a luxury ski hotel in Vail, Colorado. But the Obamas are not the only ones enjoying the high life. Wealthy corporate executives and greedy Wall Street fatcats insist that profit margins are too tight to hire more American workers, and yet sales of luxury cars, private jets and vacation homes are soaring. Meanwhile, most American families are going through economic hell right now. In 2010, more Americans than ever before were living below the poverty line. Over 4 million Americans have been unemployed for more than a year, and over 5 million Americans are at least two months behind on their mortgage payments. As the Obamas and wealthy corporate executives jet off to fancy ski resorts, half of all American workers are earning $505 or lessper week and 55 percent of American families are living paycheck to paycheck.
Something is very wrong with this picture…………………….
Police would don riot gear and “absolutely” use force on protesters in Wisconsin, according to a state law enforcement representative, further stoking fears that the ongoing union demonstrations against a plan by Governor Scott Walker to eliminate collective bargaining rights for most public employees could end in violence.
Despite the fact that the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association WLEA has vocally condemned Walker’s move to raise the level of pension and health contributions public workers would be forced to pay, WLEA executive board president Tracy Fuller said that troopers would still obey orders, don riot gear and “absolutely” use force against protesters to crush dissent if they were told to do so.“I have worked with the University of Wisconsin police officers that are there, along with the capitol police officers, and certainly I’ve worked with the state patrol officers because I’m a state patrol inspector.
I’m not able to even fathom that any of those police officers would not carry out whatever orders were given to do their job,” Fuller told Raw Story.“I guess that’s the one ironic thing about this,” he continued. “Last night my wife asked me to make a sign for her to take down there to protest. On that day, I thought to myself I could be making a protest sign for my wife to take down there … Then I could be down there confronting my wife with the protest sign that I made. God, you see … That’s … That’s my job.”
While adding that “It would not look like the United States, if we did that,” Fuller noted that it was “possible” agent provocateurs could be used to infiltrate the protesters and cause a violent flash point.
