“On the morning of February 23, he saw the first U.S. flag go up on Suribachi’s peak, followed shortly thereafter by the second, larger flag, the raising of which was immortalized at 1/400th second in Rosenthal’s famous photograph. Akikusa’s descriptions up to this point correspond completely to American accounts of the event. But what followed afterward appears to contradict the official U.S. Naval version of the battle.
The following morning, as Akikusa relates in his book, “It was not the Stars & Stripes, but the Nissho-ki Japanese Sun flag that was waving.
Even though the peak was the target of attack from every direction on the island, I thought how hard they must have fought, and tears naturally came to my eyes. The valiant fighters were defending Mt. Suribachi to the death.”

It happened in the early morning hours last Saturday. Full details are just now leaking out…Looking at all the various reports, eyewitness video, and from reading between the lines of mainstream media, it is now clear: San Diego was just the target of an Islamic extremist Terrorist attack.
Here’s how the NBC affiliate described the scene:At 1:54 a.m., an Emerald Cab driver jumped a curb and plowed through a group of people standing outside the popular Stingaree downtown nightclub… of what firefighters and police officers described as a “melee.”
“It was so scary when I realized what had actually happened,” said Guy Handy, a nearby resident.
A witness who wished not to be identified said “there were women and men just lying on the ground, just everywhere.”After the initial media flurry died down, his real name started to emerge: Osama Hassan El-Darandaly.But that wasn’t all. Many mainstream media reports described the scene as simply an accident, by a drowzy driver.
AP even reported “Cabbie out of hospital after crash that hurt 35″ implying that El-Darandaly himself was one of the ones “hurt” in the crash.
In actuality, we now know 36 San Diegans were injured, 22 of them seriously, 1 women from Encinitas critically injured. She had her leg completely torn off after El-Darandaly pinned her to the wall in his Cab…The suspect is “devoutly Muslim.

In East Germany, once the military refused orders to stop the mass protests on November 7, 1989, Stasi secret police knew the gig was up and stripped off their uniforms, trying to melt into crowds or pretending to be normal soldiers.
Two days later, the Berlin Wall fell. LTC Spens describes what it was like to live under Communism, where they had a constitution on paper, but not in reality because the communist party ran everything and through its secret police, the Stasi, kept everyone under its thumb.

The US government is offering private intelligence companies contracts to create software to manage “fake people” on social media sites and create the illusion of consensus on controversial issues.
The contract calls for the development of “Persona Management Software” which would help the user create and manage a variety of distinct fake profiles online. The job listing was discussed in recently leaked emails from the private security firm HBGary after an attack by internet activist last week.

A single user could manage unique background information and status updates for up to 10 fake people from a single computer.

Ten years or so ago there were several good Marines message boards/forums online–started by Marines for Marines.
Today that has all gone down the chute…there are some out there now with former Marines involved, but in reality they are commercial/merchant sites selling doo-dads to families of Marines, ballcaps, etc–main point here is they are not really for Marines now–just PC sites to do business, Marines are admitted, however, provided ya keep yer nose clean and play nice, no talk of religion, politics, etc.

After reading the most recent e-mail from Jeff Schwilk, director of the San Diego chapter of the Minuteman Project, with regard to the border patrol agent brutally murdered in Mexico and Obama and Napolitano allowing Mexico to “lead the way” in its investigation.
An American named Mr. Nedd said, “I promised a few of you that I would consider drafting a letter on behalf of Jeff and his Minutemen to send to California Congressmen Ed Royce, Brian Bilbray and Duncan Hunter to demand action. I haven’t done that yet but what I have done is drafted and faxed a letter to the House Committee Chairman of Homeland Security, Congressman Peter King of New York, requesting him to call for the immediate resignation of Janet Napolitano as Homeland Security Director.
I also sent a copy of it to my own Congressman, Peter Visclosky. I have attached the letter in this e-mail. I removed the street address in this letter, though I added it before faxing Reps. King and Visclosky. “While I am convinced that it is absolutely critical to remove Barack Obama from the Oval Office as soon as possible, knowing the political correctness that is prevalent on Crapitol Hill misspelling acknowledged, I also believe we need to take the first step and insist on the removal of Miss Napolitano as Homeland Security Director. To that end, I believe it is imperative that we pepper Rep.
King’s office as well as the office of your Congressmen and Congresswomen with signed letters and signed faxes, demanding the removal of the incompetent one who’s regularly been lying to us by saying that the borders are secured.

Last month, a federal judge in Florida struck down ObamaCare in its entirety due to the unconstitutional nature of its individual mandate and lack of severability. The ruling technically freed 26 states from compliance on ObamaCare, at least until an appeal is heard at either the 11th Circuit or Supreme Court.
Last night, however, the Obama administration asked Judge Roger Vinson to please tell all of the states to comply with the law he just threw out: The Obama administration, in a Thursday evening filing in a Northern Florida federal court, is asking the court to clarify that the 26 states who successfully challenged the law are still required to comply with it.
U.S. District Judge Henry [sic] Vinson ruled that the law’s requirement for individuals to purchase insurance is unconstitutional, and therefore, the rest of the law is unconstitutional because the provision is too central to making the law function.
The administration points out that the so-called individual mandate does not go into effect until 2014, while other parts of the law have already gone into effect. “[A] contrary understanding would threaten serious harm to many Americans currently benefiting from provisions of the Affordable Care Act that are already in effect and would significantly interfere with defendants’ statutory duty to implement the Act as Congress directed,” the Justice Department wrote in its court filing.

A People’s Uprising Against the Empire When the Egyptian protests first broke out, most Americans celebrated. Though Mubarak’s military must still be circumvented or overthrown, the revolt has spread, like a cleansing fire, to Bahrain, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Jordan, and beyond.What is all this all about? Thanks to Western rule since WWI, this is a region of dictators and domination. Regardless of the spark, that is the issue. This might just be an old story and exactly what it appears to be: a struggle between the liberty of the people and the criminal power of the State.
Somehow, however, this is not obvious to many conservatives. Never mind that the people are denouncing the dictators, the jails, the political persecutions, the torturing and brutality, the disappearances and murders, and demanding the freedom to speak, publish, and live. Surely there must be some nefarious plot behind it all.
The liberty theme was clear enough in Egypt. Here we had multitudes of educated, young, tech-savvy, pro-freedom activists taking a brave stand against a national socialist dictator of 30 years – and the bad guy lost, thereby giving hope to all peoples in the world who struggle against tyranny.
hTe role of the military in the future of the country is still up in the air, and who doubts that another government will have to be overthrown again in the future? Still, victory is victory.

A freshman at Spotsylvania High School in Virginia, Andrew was expelled in December 2010 for shooting a handful of small pellets akin to plastic spit wads at fellow students in the school hallway during lunch period.
Although the initial punishment was only for 10 days, the school board later extended it to the rest of the school year. School officials also referred the matter to local law enforcement, which initiated juvenile proceedings for criminal assault against young Andrew.

I confess that since November I’ve been holding my breath, watching the clock for how long Tea Party newcomers could hold out against the entrenched Republican elite on Capitol Hill. Collapse was inevitable, however I admit to feeling bitterly surprised at how rapidly they have thrown in the towel.
For the record, most of the Tea Party quit their principles of liberty on February 14, 2011 – 20 days into the new Congress – when Tea Party leaders abruptly abandoned their opposition to the Patriot Act and voted to extend intrusive domestic surveillance, wire tapping and warrantless searches of American citizens. In so doing, they exposed the fraud of their soaring campaign promises to defend the liberty of ordinary Americans, and fight government intrusions on freedom. All those wide-eyed speeches that flowed with such thrilling devotions, all of it proved to be self-aggrandizing lies.The Tea Party didn’t even put up a fight. Briefly they rejected a sneak attack to renew three surveillance clauses of the Patriot Act on a suspension vote.
That filled my heart with hope. One push from the Republican elite, however and they went down with a loud thud…….

The FBI urged members of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security on Thursday to update the Communications Assistance to Law Enforcement Act CALEA and make it easier for authorities to eavesdrop on Internet.
The act was passed in 1994 and requires telecommunication companies to design their equipment and services to ensure that law enforcement and national security officials can monitor telephone and other communications whenever necessary.“Over the years, through interpretation of the statute by the Federal Communications Commission, the reach of CALEA has been expanded to include facilities-based broadband internet access and Voice over Internet Protocol VoIP services that are fully inter-connected with the public switched telephone network,” FBI General Counsel Valeria Caproni told the subcommittee.“Although that expansion of coverage has been extremely helpful, CALEA does not cover popular Internet-based communications modalities such as webmail, social networking sites or peer-to-peer services.”Full article here

Have you seen video of the teacher protests that are going on in Wisconsin? We haven’t seen anything like this in America in quite some time.
If you haven’t seen video of the protests yet, some very good raw footage is posted below. On the one hand it is good to see Americans coming together and standing up for what they believe in, but on the other hand what these teachers are freaking out about shows just how much America has changed.
These teachers are not protesting for liberty, freedom or to change the government. Rather, they are protesting because they want things to remain the same. They simply don’t want anyone to mess with their pay. Well, the truth is that none of us ever wants to experience a pay cut. It is not a lot of fun. But sadly, states like Wisconsin are so broke that they have to find cuts somewhere. Someone is going to have to make a sacrifice. The teachers in Wisconsin just want to make sure that it is not them………………………..

In case of a widespread walkout in response to his “budget repair bill,” Walker told reporters last week that he would use National Guard troops to be “prepared…for whatever the governor, their commander-in-chief, might call for. … I am fully prepared for whatever may happen.”Ostensibly, Walker’s announcement was a signal that he is prepared to replace state workers with National Guard troops, deploying them for example as prison guards. However, protesters cried foul, claiming that Walker was invoking the Guard as an intimidation tactic to suppress dissent.“Hundreds of Wisconsin National Guard soldiers return to the state Friday,” reports the Wausau Daily Herald.“About 300 soldiers from the 724th Engineer Battalion will be back at Volk Field where they will be met by senior National Guard officials and family members. A brief ceremony will be held before the soldiers are taken to nearby Fort McCoy to begin about five days of demobilization before their release.”The unit comprises roughly half of Wisconsin’s National Guard soldiers that are currently on active duty.
They return fresh from Iraq after having been on missions to remove roadside bombs placed by insurgents.They may now face a different type of insurgency, one led by state workers who are furious that their pension and health care contributions are set to double to fill a $3.6 billion budget deficit black hole, while two-thirds of corporations in the state pay no taxes whatsoever according to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

The hypocrisy of the American left is on full display in the heart of America, as the teachers’ union in Wisconsin continues to show how it will use any tactic, no matter how reprehensible, to try and get its way.
Threats, intimidation, violent imagery and inflammatory rhetoric – all of the sorts of tactics that the left and the mainstream media routinely accuse conservatives of using – are on full display in Madison.
But, rather than condemning such behavior, left wing champions from Barack Obama to Michael Moore are falling over themselves to show solidarity with the teachers’ union.

Over at NRO, Jay Nordlinger makes an incredibly good point: Barack Obama should be urging calm in Wisconsin, no matter WHAT side of the underlying issue he is on.
It is not just unpresidential of him, but despicable, for him in effect to be urging on the mass demonstrations.
But as J. Christian Adams, Justice Department whistle-blower extraordinaire, reminded me in an email accompanying this post of his, these are not only the tactics always favored by the left in general, but specifically the sorts of tactics Obama himself was trained in — AND exactly what I myself warned about as Christian reminded me in my very first post-presidential election column in 2008.

This grand and overriding figure, like FDR and Lincoln, will dominate the rhetoric and policies of the Republican Party. Food, fuel and clothing are rising in price at dramatic rates. Food, especially, is critical. Every shopping cart in every grocery is pushed by an American who finds prices for ordinary things, like bread, milk, and cereal jumping higher and higher. At the checkout counter, the total keeps rising higher and higher. In the last six months, food prices have risen by over 27%. The size of the beef herds in America is at a fifty year low and the impact upon consumers will, inevitably, be sharp. Obama and his Kobe beef-eating friends, invariably rich, do not feel the pinch. All the rest of us do. Government could do a lot to lower food prices, from ending the Ethanol scam to overriding environmentalists who are turning some of the richest farmland on earth in California into a dust bowl.How expensive will food be in 20 months, when Obama seeks re-election?

There’s a new poll showing that a majority of Republicans doubt that President Obama was born in the United States. Are they paranoid-type thinkers, like the 9/11 Truthers, looking for things to connect up and suspecting that conspiracies lie underneath things that other people think are as they’ve been presented in the media?I think we need to see that they are not. They have one issue. One question.
They have suspicion about one thing, and that suspicion notably hasn’t led them into other theories. There’s one factual issue — the immensely important matter of the President’s qualification — that hasn’t been nailed down to their satisfaction.It’s perfectly rational to take as your working theory that evidence that isn’t produced would run counter to the interest of the party who could produce it and does not.
In legal cases, if a party fails to produce a document requested in discovery, the judge can deem that the fact is established to be what the party seeking discovery is trying to prove. See Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 37b2Ai.All I’m saying is that it’s not paranoid to answer the question the way the majority did in that poll. I haven’t followed the so-called “birthers” that much. Presumably, some of them branch out into other theories and cross over into conspiracy thinking and paranoia.
But it’s absurd to read the poll results as a sign that the GOP is full of folks like that. If you really wanted to gauge the nuttiness of Republicans, you could do a much more fine-grained poll about what Republicans believe and how strongly the birther issue correlates to other beliefs.

Drudge has linked this story from World Net Daily that notes the odd decision by the Supreme Court to hold a new “conference” on Obama’s eligibility to hold the presidency.Let’s research WHY the court could be compelled to do this.It MUST have something to do with the fact that Obama has no birth certificate on file in the Hawaiian Hall of Records with the name “Barack Hussein Obama” on it — since his original Hawaiian birth certificate with that name was sealed in the 1970s when he was adopted in Indonesia by Lolo Soetoro, his stepfather.
At the time of adoption, a child’s original birth certificate is sealed away and replaced in the Hall of Records by a new birth certificate that bears the adopted parents’ names and the child’s new name, if a new name is given.

If anyone has a right to be frustrated and demoralized about the eligibility issue, it is me.For nearly three years, I have stuck my neck out on it, devoting massive news-gathering resources to unwrapping Barack Obama’s real-life narrative, endured abuse as a “conspiracy theorist” and “wacko” only to see my news organization still standing virtually alone.
Ironically, I’m not discouraged at all about getting resolution to this controversy. In fact, I believe it is right around the corner.I can understand the reason for the discouragement of others. They’ve watched court case after court case dismissed. They’ve watched an officer and a gentleman by the name of Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin go to prison for trying to get at the truth. They’ve witnessed their majority views of skepticism about Obama ridiculed and marginalized. They’ve seen a near blackout of media coverage of the real issues of constitutional eligibility.
But what most people have not yet noticed is that judgment day is near………………

Challenge to Obama getting 2nd conference before courtIn a stunning move, the U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled another “conference” on a legal challenge to Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, but officials there are not answering questions about whether two justices given their jobs by Obama will participate.
The court has confirmed that it has distributed a petition for rehearing in the case brought by attorney John Hemenway on behalf of retired Col. Gregory Hollister and it will be the subject of a conference on March 4.It was in January that the court denied, without comment, a request for a hearing on the arguments. But the attorney at the time had submitted a motion for Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, who were given their jobs by Obama, to recuse.
Should Obama ultimately be shown to have been ineligible for the office, his actions, including his appointments, at least would be open to challenge and question.
At the time, the Supreme Court acknowledged the “motion for recusal” but it changed it on official docketing pages to a “request.” And it reportedly failed to respond to the motion….

The debate is over how much power an association should have and Harvella Jones, President of the National Homeowners Advocate Group, says associations can serve a purpose, but they’ve gone too far.“My goal is to stop the foreclosures because they don’t have the right to take our homes for maintenance fees when the Constitution does not give them the authority,” says Jones.Jones adds some associations have been compared to the mafia for how they act.“
That is how they operate sometimes and sometimes they use strong arm methods to shut you down when you start complaining,” Jones says. “I have had people been physically abused at meetings where they couldn’t even talk or anything of that nature.”But Sandy Denton, Chair of the Texas Community Association Advocates, says in the long run associations provide a valuable service to homeowners.
“Probably the most recognizable benefits include protection and enhancement of property values so that next door to you someone doesn’t have their car up on cinder blocks for weeks on end,” says Denton.
Despite some of the negative attention, Denton notes most people support the role associations play.“70% of the people believe that the rules of their associations help protect property values and 89% believe the boards work in the best interest of their community,” Denton says.

Earlier it was mentioned that the church age came to an end in the year 1988 AD. It so happens that the church age began on the day of Pentecost May 22nd in the year 33 AD. Then 1955 years later, the church age came to its conclusion on May 21st, which was the day before Pentecost in 1988.
The Bible teaches that the end of the church age would occur simultaneously with the beginning of the great tribulation: Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.On May 21st, 1988, God finished using the churches and congregations of the world.
The Spirit of God left all churches and Satan, the man of sin, entered into the churches to rule at that point in time. The Bible teaches us that this awful period of judgment upon the churches would last for 23 years. A full 23 years 8400 days exactly would be from May 21 st, 1988 until May 21st, 2011. As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave her speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression, 71-year-old Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes, brutalized and left bleeding in jail.

be appreciated. Hospice did a wonderful job treating and assisting my father
daily in his struggle with his illness.

Another 21 percent say they are not sure. “Any thought that the birther theory has been put to rest can be thrown out the window,” Dean Debnam, the president of the Democratic-leaning polling firm, told Politico.

Ryan expressed his opposition to the demands of the protesters, but noted that the Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was now facing, “Riots — it’s like Cairo has moved to Madison these days.”
Similarly, noting that the Governor has threatened to break the union protests by deploying the National Guard, writer Noam Chomsky told Democracy Now that what happened in Egypt was “the beginning of what we need here – democracy uprising.”

Under the banner of fighting child pornography, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice knocked out 84,000 websites last week.
The websites did not host or link to child pornography as the government claims.
“As part of ‘Operation Save Our Children‘ ICE’s Cyber Crimes Center has again seized several domain names, but not without making a huge error.
Last Friday, thousands of site owners were surprised by a rather worrying banner that was placed on their domain,” reports TorrentFreak, a tech site.“Advertisement, distribution, transportation, receipt, and possession of child pornography constitute federal crimes that carry penalties for first time offenders of up to 30 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, forfeiture and restitution,” was the message visitors to the sites were greeted with after a judge signed a seizure warrant and Big Sis contacted the domain registries and instructed them to point the domains in question to a server that hosts the above warning message.

Financial crooks brought down the world’s economy — but the feds are doing more to protect them than to prosecute them.Here’s how regulation of Wall Street is supposed to work.
To begin with, there’s a semigigantic list of public and quasi-public agencies ostensibly keeping their eyes on the economy, a dense alphabet soup of banking, insurance, S&L, securities and commodities regulators like the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. FDIC, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency OCC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission CFTC, as well as supposedly “self-regulating organizations” like the New York Stock Exchange.
All of these outfits, by law, can at least begin the process of catching and investigating financial criminals, though none of them has prosecutorial power.The major federal agency on the Wall Street beat is the Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC watches for violations like insider trading, and also deals with so-called “disclosure violations” — i.e., making sure that all the financial information that publicly traded companies are required to make public actually jibes with reality.
But the SEC doesn’t have prosecutorial power either, so in practice, when it looks like someone needs to go to jail, they refer the case to the Justice Department. And since the vast majority of crimes in the financial services industry take place in Lower Manhattan, cases referred by the SEC often end up in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
Thus, the two top cops on Wall Street are generally considered to be that U.S. attorney — a job that has been held by thunderous prosecutorial personae like Robert Morgenthau and Rudy Giuliani — and the SEC’s director of enforcement.

William F. Buckley famous opined that he would “sooner live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University“.
We have spent the last two years being governed by Harvard faculty members, and they have done such an excellent job of it that in the future the Boston telephone directory may well replace the ballot box. Point to a few names at random and call it a day…………………..

Remember when everyone was calling George W. Bush stupid? I do. Since then, his published memoir of his years in the White House has been on the bestseller lists following two years of Barack Obama unrelenting blunders and lies.From the beginning of the Obama administration, there were all manner of evidence that a group of hapless, moronic ideologues had been handed the reins of power.
Early nominees for key posts were jettisoned or withdrew from consideration for a variety of reasons. This was followed by a huge overlay of “czars” for everything, with undefined power over and above the Cabinet Secretaries in charge of various departments.’…………………….

It was all caught on camera. We froze surveillance video taken at the Anzalduas International Bridge.What you see is the international boundary that separates the United States from Mexico and what authorities on this side of the border seem to think is a truck packed with armed men crossing into the United States.
The video clearly shows a large military-transport vehicle drive north on the Anzalduas bridge over the international boundary.

In a shocking act of mass public deception, Fox News attempted to skew Ron Paul’s 2011 CPAC straw poll win by representing it with footage from the previous year’s CPAC event, at which Mitt Romney supporters had loudly booed the result, another example of the continuing dirty tricks campaign being waged against Paul by the establishment media.
Congressman Paul replicated his 2010 victory over Mitt Romney by defeating the former Governor of Massachusetts for a second consecutive year at the annual CPAC conference.However, before anchor Bill Hemmer introduced a segment concerning the story, Fox News played a clip of the 2010 announcement of the poll results, during which Mitt Romney supporters had loudly booed Ron Paul’s victory, passing off last year’s footage as representative of this year’s event.
Hemmer then proceeded to state, “In the end he was the winner, probably not the reaction he was hoping for,” describing the reaction as “mixed applause and boos,” before directly asking Ron Paul if he knew who was booing him.

President Obama’s budget released on Monday proposes to spend $3.73 trillion for 2012. He can’t say Bush made him do that. That proposed spending is an undeniable fact that reveals who he is, which he successfully hid from 53% of voters in 2008.Campaigning in 2008 he promised voters that his plan involved a “net spending cut.” That net spending cut translated into $836 billion in increased spending this year from 2008, according to President Obama’s own budget documents.
That is a federal spending increase of nearly 30% since 2008. Either President Obama does not know what “net spending cut” means in English, or he bamboozled a lot of people in 2008.Almost makes you want to take to the streets to demand resignations and honest elections. But that couldn’t happen here. For one thing, you need a free and independent press to have true democratic elections.
