A new poll is shocking the political powers in Washington with indication that only 3 in 10 members of the GOP believe that Barack Obama was born in the United States.

With the issue still disputed in a number of court cases and under review by nearly a dozen states considering laws that presidential candidates document their constitutional eligibility, the poll by Public Policy Polling found that only 28 percent of the Republicans surveyed believe Obama was born in the U.S. while 51 percent do not.

Another 21 percent say they are not sure.

Most people who bother with the matter at all would admit that the English language is in a bad way, but it is generally assumed that we cannot by conscious action do anything about it. Our civilization is decadent and our language – so the argument runs – must inevitably share in the general collapse. It follows that any struggle against the abuse of language is a sentimental archaism, like preferring candles to electric light or hansom cabs to aeroplanes. Underneath this lies the half-conscious belief that language is a natural growth and not an instrument which we shape for our own purposes.

Now, it is clear that the decline of a language must ultimately have political and economic causes: it is not due simply to the bad influence of this or that individual writer. But an effect can become a cause, reinforcing the original cause and producing the same effect in an intensified form, and so on indefinitely. A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks. It is rather the same thing that is happening to the English language. It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts. The point is that the process is reversible. Modern English, especially written English, is full of bad habits which spread by imitation and which can be avoided if one is willing to take the necessary trouble. If one gets rid of these habits one can think more clearly, and to think clearly is a necessary first step toward political regeneration: so that the fight against bad English is not frivolous and is not the exclusive concern of professional writers. I will come back to this presently, and I hope that by that time the meaning of what I have said here will have become clearer. Meanwhile, here are five specimens of the English language as it is now habitually written.

These five passages have not been picked out because they are especially bad – I could have quoted far worse if I had chosen – but because they illustrate various of the mental vices from which we now suffer. The United States has hundreds of military bases around the world…perhaps even thousands; however, no one knows for sure because even the Pentagon does not bother to keep track.

What we do know is that the US Defense budget is now about the same as military spending in all other countries combined, and since 9/11, military and security expenditures have soared 119%. A lot of money goes towards maintaining those bases, but once again, taxpayers and the military do not know exactly how much is allocated towards those bases.

Experts say that the reason for sustaining all those military installations abroad is to “maintain a far flung global empire,” and they point out that in places like Saudi Arabia and Okinawa, US military presence has been denounced by locals.

O.J. Simpson was beaten unconscious in a savage prison yard attack, according to a report in the National Enquirer.

The assault was so brutal and debilitating that the disgraced NFL great is now afraid to leave his cell.

The Enquirer said inmates cheered on a beefy young skinhead as he beat the most famous inmate at Nevada‘s Lovelock Correctional Center to a “bloody pulp,” knocking him to the ground and inflicting serious injuries. Simpson, 63, reportedly spent three weeks in the infirmary while prison officials attempted to hush up the incident.

Supposedly Simpson was targeted in the lockup because his boasts about sexual exploits with beautiful white women were overheard by white supremacist inmates.

Cliff Kincaid — NBC’s David Gregory Worries about Legitimacy of Obama Presidency

NBC “Meet the Press” Host David Gregory berated House Speaker John Boehner on Sunday because members of the public and the Congress have doubts about President Obama’s professed Christian faith and alleged birth in the United States. Gregory wondered if all the doubts about Obama were undermining his legitimacy as President. He wanted Boehner to denounce these questions and concerns as “ignorance.” Boehner refused to do so.

“There was something that caught my eye this week that was on Fox News on the Hannity program, a focus group with voters in Iowa led by Frank Luntz, the Republican strategist, and he had this exchange with them,” he told Boehner.

The videotape that followed showed several people declaring that Obama was a Muslim.

Gregory was flabbergasted. He said to Boehner: “As the speaker of the House, as a leader, do you not think it’s your responsibility to stand up to that kind of ignorance?”

In fact, as AIM has noted, calling yourself something is not the same thing as proving it is the case. Obama’s Christian claim deserves to be scrutinized, even when it involves a sensitive and personal matter such as religious belief. While Homeland Security is busy telling Americans to spy on each other and insisting that domestic extremists are a national security threat, a truck of twelve uniformed Mexican soldiers armed to the teeth brazenly violates national sovereignty to conduct searches of vehicles on U.S. soil.

The incursion was captured on surveillance footage taken at the Anzalduas International Bridge. The clip shows at least a dozen armed soldiers in Mexican military uniforms cross into U.S. territory at high speed.

“The vehicle travels down the bridge toward the U.S. Customs checkpoint. Its driver makes a U-turn just before reaching the lines of cars there. It then starts back south toward Mexico. The men pull over and search a vehicle for a few minutes then resume their trek south,” reports KRGV.

Having spent around 10 minutes on U.S. soil conducting an impromptu search of a vehicle, including a search of the trunk of the car, the soldiers head back to Mexico.

The car that was searched then also heads south, confirming that it was traveling from the United States into Mexico, and raising the possibility that the Mexican soldiers had targeting American citizens for the search, not to mention the fact that they were agents of a foreign power exercising law enforcement duties inside the U.S., which would normally be sufficient to cause an international diplomatic spat in any other country……………….

For the second time in his presidency, Barack Obama found himself reaching for his pen to write down the details of a question from a New York Times reporter.

At Tuesday’s press conference, Obama picked Jackie Calmes as his last questioner, and then listened for the better part of a minute as the New York Times reporter talked at length about budget negotiations with Republicans.

Obama finally interrupted: “I should have written all this down — I’m running out of room in my brain!”

The moment might have prompted a feeling of déjà vu — this was not the first time Obama was stumped by a New York Times reporter’s wordy question…………………………..

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Rand Paul (Ky.) released the following Dear Colleague letter to his fellow Senators this morning regarding the renewal of the USA PATRIOT Act. (2/15/2011)

Dear Colleague:

James Otis argued against general warrants and writs of assistance that were issued by British soldiers without judicial review and that did not name the subject or items to be searched.

He condemned these general warrants as “the worst instrument[s] of arbitrary power, the most destructive of English liberty and the fundamental principles of law, that ever w[ere] found in an English law book.” Otis objected to these writs of assistance because they “placed the liberty of every man in the hands of every petty officer.” The Fourth Amendment was intended to guarantee that only judges-not soldiers or policemen-would issue warrants. Otis’ battle against warrantless searches led to our Fourth Amendment guarantee against unreasonable government intrusion.

My main objection to the PATRIOT Act is that searches that should require a judge’s warrant are performed with a letter from an FBI agent-a National Security Letter (“NSL”).

I object to these warrantless searches being performed on United States citizens. I object to the 200,000 NSL searches that have been performed without a judge’s warrant…………………………….

As the world (and, in particular, the West) nervously follows the course of events in Egypt now that President Hosni Mubarak has been forced out of office, a side-skirmish has broken out among conservatives regarding Glenn Beck’s recent claims that the Egyptian revolution is being driven by an alliance of Islamists and leftists, with the ultimate goal of creating a network of radicalized, Islamist-controlled nations throughout the Middle East (and beyond).

Beck’s recent broadcasts have polarized many on the right, and (predictably) drawn condescending disdain from the left.

It is not the intent of this article to examine Beck’s claims or the controversy surrounding them. Rather, I think it’s important that we understand, in a sober and rational way, that there are indeed some on the left – influential, respectable people – who do genuinely believe that terrorists should be allowed to take over in countries like Egypt………….

For the more boring, dominant and conventional leftists, the savior of mankind, the equalizer of social disparities, is in formal leftist institutions – unions, left-leaning political parties, mass political movements directed by great leaders who sought to integrate minorities into mainstream culture, and especially the federal government. Thus Lincoln addressed America’s original sin of slavery; Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, while imperfect, took working conditions seriously; the suffragettes and official Civil Rights movement are history’s great engines of political, racial and gender equality – a yet-to-be-won battle, but a much fairer fight thanks to marches on Washington and federal legislation. Franklin Roosevelt, despite some flaws, gave “economic democracy” a real chance for once. The Great Society brought the United States a step closer to the bare standard of modern civilization, to be found in the administration of democratic socialism. Obama represents the last of this narrative, which is why even most antiwar leftist intellectuals can’t bring themselves to despise him as they did George W. Bush…………….

As the 2012 presidential campaign kicks into gear, President Obama’s White House media operation is demonstrating an unprecedented ability to broadcast its message through social media and the Internet, at times doing an end-run around the traditional press.

The White House Press Office now not only produces a website, blog, YouTube channel, Flickr photo stream, and Facebook and Twitter profiles, but also a mix of daily video programming, including live coverage of the president’s appearances and news-like shows that highlight his accomplishments.

“Advise the Adviser: Your Direct Line to the White House,” the administration’s latest online program launched last week, encourages viewers to offer “advice, opinions and feedback on important issues” and promises a response from a senior administration official in return.

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND Action, is taking issue with Oprah Winfrey‘s recent comments on MSNBC‘s “Morning Joe,” where she called on President Obama’s critics to show him more respect and talked about how she believed in Obama’s “integrity.”

Winfrey, who supported Obama’s 2008 presidential bid, said that everybody complaining ought to try it [the job] for once. She claimed that the presidency “holds a sense of authority and governance over us all” and that “even if you’re not in support of his policies, there needs to be a certain level of respect.”

Rev. Peterson said, “Barack Obama was elected president, not appointed king!” “Obama chose to run, and unfortunately for us, he was elected to be the leader of the free world. I don’t recall Oprah calling on people to respect former President George W. Bush when he was viciously attacked and compared to Hitler for eight years. If Obama can’t take the heat, he needs to get out of the White House!”

Oprah is considered a close friend of the Obamas. She featured then Senator Barack Obama on her show during the 2008 presidential election and was criticized by independent-minded women and conservatives for not extending equal time to the McCain-Palin ticket.

“Criticism of Obama doesn’t mean that people are disrespecting the office, but it does mean that they don’t respect the current occupants socialist agenda,” said Rev. Peterson. “The only authority Obama or any other president has is that enumerated by the Constitution. And despite what Oprah says, Barack Obama lacks integrity, and I believe he will go down as the worst and least respected one-term president in American history!”

On Jan. 19, 2011, Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon signed an executive order requiring within the next five years all Mexicans 17 years old and younger have a biometric national identity card that would include a facial photograph, all 10 fingerprints, and an iris scan.

I popped the champagne cork to celebrate the Egyptian people’s success in driving out of office the American puppet, Mubarak. However, as I wrote on February 1, Mubarak’s departure doesn’t guarantee that his successor will not find himself wearing the same American harness. As Gerald Celente puts it, “Meet the new boss, same as old boss.”

It remains to be seen how much of a revolution has occurred. Marx and Lenin would be put off by the idealistic jubilation over a spontaneous revolution that caused Mubarak to resign after a couple of weeks of protests. (Feb. 9, 2011) — The EU is the progressives’ dream. It is headed by the unelected European Commission, which is the only body entitled to propose legislation. Further, the public at large and their elected MEPs (Members of European Parliament) are thereby shut out of all meaningful decision making. The Commission does not consult with the voters but only with interest groups, and the details are ironed out by committees, which could be referred to as technocrats.

The national governments (called “local”) are obliged to adopt – or harmonize – EU legislation, so they are puppets of the regime.

We see the outlines of this system in our American “democracy,” where interest groups rule over the majority and the majority likes it or lumps it.

What you read here presumably is what a North American Union would look like. You will recall that in the latter days of his administration, GW Bush — whose father chattered a lot about the New World Order — was in fact toying with just such a supranational scheme, called the Security and Prosperity Partnership. A secret meeting held in Canada would have laid the groundwork for implementation of the scheme. Fortunately, the plot was outed and the plan was scrapped — temporarily or permanently, who knows?

Just how influential were websites Facebook and Twitter in the rebellion? At least one skeptic argues not so much.

Despite intense egging on by NBC newsman David Gregory, House Speaker John Boehner refused today to attack people who have doubts about Barack Obama’s eligibility for the presidency.

Gregory was pressing the Ohio Republican about a recent focus group of Iowa voters on “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel. Some had said they believe Obama is Muslim, and not Christian.

Gregory, host of “Meet the Press,” asked Boehner: “As the speaker of the House, as a leader, do you not think it’s your responsibility to stand up to that kind of ignorance?”

“It’s not my job to tell the American people what to think,” Boehner responded. “Our job in Washington is to listen to the American people. Having said that, the state of Hawaii has said that he was born there. That’s good enough for me. The president says he’s a Christian. I accept him at his word.”

I hate to say, “I told you so.”

It’s rather cliché.

But I did try very hard to warn the conservative movement what it was doing by embracing a group of homosexual activists promoting a radical social agenda while masquerading as “conservatives.”

I don’t know if I was the first to warn about the infiltration of GOProud and how its tentacles would sow seeds of division and strife among conservatives. But I’m quite sure I was among the loudest.

Suffice it to say, few listened to the warnings. It has cost me friendships, long-time alliances and a good name among many who don’t know me except through the caricatures drawn by others making their livings under the bright lights of TV cameras accusing me of being a “publicity whore” and a “fake Christian.”

Today, more people see the truth about a group they once saw as merely a group of “conservative gays.”

Sometimes it takes a little political experience and sophistication, maybe only the kind that can come from being around long enough.

When I tried to point out to Ann Coulter that she was making a mistake by performing at a fundraiser for GOProud at the very moment it was attempting to establish its conservative bona fides, she did not take it well. Neither did many other conservatives…………

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent in San Diego confirmed that weapons of mass effect (a.k.a., “WMDs”) had been found by U.S. officials, but not at the particular port where he was being interviewed by a reporter from ABC affiliate 10News.com.

The above words were spoken by “Mac,” an old salt Marine, the Master Technical Sergeant in the book (later, the movie), Battle Cry, by Leon Uris, 1953. And he was reflecting on the great changes that had taken place affecting his chosen way of life in the Corps with the advent of WW II.

Although many of us likely have differing opinions as to just what constitutes the “Old Corps,” I think that most of us here reading this would accept that period between the two world wars as such. Also, I believe it is true that we all initially see all of those Marines who came before us as old corps; but later, after a few, or many, years our perception of that tends to narrow somewhat and we all decide to some degree just what the old corps means to us individually. Our opinions are founded and shaped according to when we entered the Corps, our experiences, etc. And so our own perception of the Old Corps may become both similar and /or dissimilar to one another’s.

But it is that period of time between the world wars that I would choose for myself as that which best falls into the category of Old Corps–for me, anyway–and it is that period that I would prefer to write about. That era was a time when the Marine Corps was very small (less than 20,000), and career Marines are said to have known most other career Marines, either by sight or reputation.

Regretably, I think there is too little specific information available regarding the routine everyday life of Marines during that period, although, we can find numerous bits and pieces regarding this in some books on this general era. But these are few and far between, as most books are written with a specific focus toward its main theme, not allowing for too many other details……………..

Obama Pencils In $37 Billion Budget Increase For DHS, Naked Body Scanners

The Obama administration is to propose a $37 billion increase in federal spending for the Department of Homeland Security, earmarking funds for more radiation firing naked body scanners in airports around the country.

The DHS’ budget will grow by almost 3 percent over the 2011 budget level, as Reuters reports, while the overall national security budget will increase by almost 2 percent.

The 2012 budget proposal requests $43.8 billion for homeland security across the entire federal government, excluding the Defense Department, up $800 million from 2011.

The DHS plans to add an additional 275 naked body scanners to the 500 already installed and operated by the TSA at 78 airports nationwide.

The administration has proposed deploying 1,275 body scanners in airports by the end of 2012.

“The U.S. Transportation Security Administration hopes to buy more full-body scanners to detect explosives and other weapons potential attackers may hide on their bodies that cannot be detected by traditional metal detectors.” the Reuters reports suggests, failing to highlight the fact that the body scanners do not even have such capabilities according to their manufacturers.

Experts have dismissed the devices as “useless”, have repeatedly warned that the machines cannot detect explosive material effectively and would not have prevented the Christmas Day bomber from boarding Flight 253.

Add to this the ongoing safety concerns of respected scientists, and one is left asking why is the government ploughing billions into technology that is ineffective and potentially dangerous?

The answer is security theatre.

Like the dog that finally catches the car, the radicals have become the establishment. Those free-wheeling students of the ’60s – fighting “the man,” bombing government buildings, burning draft cards – now work for that government and are counting the days when they’ll receive their taxpayer-funded pension and retiree health care.

In fact, the radicals of the 1960s are now pushing retirement age, wrapping up careers that saw them control so much of American society — the news media, academia, government bureaucracy and Hollywood. When Obama told audiences during the 2008 campaign that “We are the change we’ve been waiting for,” it must have been an unsettling realization for these radicals, and likely triggered an existential crisis for some of them.

In my research of the left, I’ve gone down a few rabbit trails. I visited New Orleans and talked to Wade Rathke, a few months before the ACORN tree came crashing down. I met Frances Fox Piven in New York and interviewed her about a range of things at her home. (I’ve never met a socialist with a doorman before.) I wrote about the radical Jack Gerson, an SDS alum now influential in the Oakland, CA teachers union.

Which led me to Fred Klonsky. Klonsky, along with his brother Mike, were leaders of Students for a Democratic Society. Fred now is living comfortably as a public school teacher and union leader in the upscale Park Ridge community in suburban Chicago. Mike was reportedly lauded by Mao Zedong for his work spreading communism throughout the United States.

OK, this is weird…

Over at The Blaze, you’ll find this video that some say shows a pale horseman riding through the crowd.

When an eerie, pale-green image appeared in a recent Euronews report on the Egyptian unrest, some bloggers asked an interesting question: “Is this the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse?” Foxnation.com, a news aggregation division of Fox, picked up on the story and repeated the same question. But while video does show something odd, the way some covered the story is overshadowing the story itself. First the video (the anomaly occurs at about 1:20):

President Obama took some time to answer some hardball questions from middle schoolers on Monday, telling a room full of teenagers that “growing up is stressful.”

After speaking about education at Parkville Middle School and Center of Technology in Baltimore, Obama was asked by a student if being president is stressful.

“Look, there’s stress involved, but let me tell you something – there’s stressed involved being the principal of a middle school, there’s stress involved in being a teacher,” Obama said. “Whatever profession you choose … there aren’t that many jobs out there that you can just sit back and have fun all the time.

Is this the next generation of Taser? Prison to test new laser beam to ‘burn’ fighting inmates

It looks like something out of a video game, but this monstrous machine could come in very handy for breaking up prison fights.

The Assault Intervention Device (AID) emits an invisible laser-like beam to trigger a brief but painful burning sensation and has been touted as a new type of Taser gun.

Officials plan to set up the machine in a detention centre dormitory in Castaic, California, although it has not yet been given the green light by its federal sponsor.

How Dare You, Mr. President?

With much righteous indignation, reporters and revolutionaries around the world asked President Mubarak: How Dare You Defy the World!

They could not comprehend the audacity, the “Chutzpa,” the nerve of the Egyptian President refusing to leave his country, defying their very wish, command and instructions.

You must leave, NOW, they shouted. It is not your country any more. You are unwanted. You are a liability. Time for you to go.

It is they, the outsiders, the media and the US President, that called for Mubarak’s immediate resignation. They expected him to leave, later to announce his resignation and departure. When he refused to do so, they became furious, upset he disobeyed their orders.

As much as I love America, it hurts me to recognize “American arrogance.” We chose a leader, President Barack Hussein Obama. Although I did not vote for him, he…..

Terrorist Who Trained London Bombers Was Working For US Government

While talking heads like Glenn Beck continue to invoke the threat of radical Islam, they habitually ignore the blindingly obvious, that radical Islam is a creature of the US military-industrial complex. Case in point – the terrorist who trained the London bombers was a US informant and has been freed after serving only four and a half years of a possible 70-year sentence.

Citing his “exceptional co-operation,” in working with US authorities, a New York Judge released Mohammed Junaid Babar despite him pleading guilty to five counts of terrorism, an outcome that has, “Raised questions over whether Babar was a US informer at the time he was helping to train the ringleader of the 7 July tube and bus bombings,” reports the London Guardian.

Babar admits to consorting with high level “Al-Qaeda” terrorists, as well as “providing senior members with money and equipment, running weapons.” He also set up a training camp in Pakistan in 2003 where alleged 7/7 ringleader Mohammad Sidique Khan learned bomb-making techniques.

“Graham Foulkes, a magistrate whose 22-year-old son David was killed by Khan at Edgware Road underground station in 2005, said: “People get four and a half years for burglary. They can get more for some road traffic offences. So for an international terrorist who’s directly linked to the death of my son and dozens and dozens of people to get that sentence is just outrageous.”

But Babar’s release makes perfect sense given the fact that he was likely working for US authorities as an informant while training one of the alleged London bombers…………………….

Marsha West — Christian “watchbloggers” under fire

A few years ago “the world’s most famous Christian blogger,” Tim Challies, took Christian “watchbloggers” to task in his piece Evil as Entertainment. Thereafter, says Tim, “Much discussion, much gratitude, much criticism ensued.” Boy I’ll say!

Only recently did I stumble onto Evil as Entertainment and the follow-up he wrote for clarification.

Tim views Christian watchbloggers (CWs) thusly:

“Day after day they offer examples of all that is wrong in the church. They may vary what they offer a little bit, but what is true of them is that they offer a steady diet of negative content related to the church in general or perhaps related to just one person or one ministry. You know of some of these sites, I am sure.”

Oh yes, I know of many of these sites. And I thank God for them.

What I found disappointing in Challies’ blogpost was that he painted CWs with such a broad brush. He complained that some of them offer negative content related to the church or one person or one ministry while others are:

“really just a spiritualized form of YouTube or any other site that entertains by sharing what is gross and base and negative and that does so for the sake of entertainment. There is really no value in watching boys do stupid things on skateboards and laughing when they crack their ankle bones in half; there is really no value in watching the worst pastors in America preach to the worst churches in America. Such sites offer evil as entertainment.”

Dr. Josef Mengele was known as “der Weiss angel,” or the white angel, at the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland during World War II. His white lab coat caught the fleeting attention of dying “patients” there, as he prepared and executed his grotesque genetic experiments on them. One wonders what historians of the future will call the doctors at the Veterans Administration who are poised to perform their own genetic experiments on a captive population.

The VA recently launched a massive medical data collection effort called the “Million Veteran Program,” run by Doctors Timothy O’Leary and Joel Kuppersmith at the Veterans Health Administration, Office of Research and Development.

The good doctors are gathering genetic information from one million former U.S. service vets — soldiers, sailors, and airmen. They are pressuring the veterans who use the VHA health services – at about 500 hospitals across the U.S.. – to give blood samples. During every routine visit, and also by phone and mail. The blood samples, once obtained, are then placed in cryogenic storage in a huge bio-repository on the East Coast. These blood samples contain the soldiers’ own DNA – the code of their genetic makeup.

To what end?

That’s the million dollar question about the million veteran program program, isn’t it?

Why would the U.S. government want a gigantic database of genetic information about a million American service veterans?

Have Patience, People, the New Kids on the Block in Congress Are Coming Around

Recently I have been hearing discouraging words coming from many conservative sources moaning over the lack of things promised by the 2010 candidate not being accomplished.

This is not sitting well with me and many others; for one thing it is just over three months since the conservatives wrested control of the House of Representatives from the high flying, big spending, maximum government liberal Democrats.

We shouldn’t expect these new kids on the block to be able to correct four solid years of damage in three months. Sure there are a sizeable number of “veteran” type legislators in this session of the House, but due to the extra large number of “rookies” in training, job orientation procedures take a little bit of time for proper organization.

And as expected, those “rookies” are growing into their jobs and promises pretty rapidly to my way of thinking. They will develop into a formidable force of good for the country, including the continued elimination of the “ME FIRST” socialist liberals who never consider the needs of the nation as a priority………………..

Obama & The Human Stain: Or How Political Correctness Gave America a Con-Man President

The Human Stain, Philip Roth’s seminal novel regarding Political Correctness, racism, and the insipid hypocrisy of leftist morality, is a fitting backdrop to Barack Obama’s improbable presidency. In the story, Professor Coleman Silk, a half-Black Jewish professor, posing as a White man, is taken down by the mechanical application of PC rules to an accidental insult he gave to two African-Americans.

Now, we can introduce the 800-pound donkey in the room. Let’s ask a simple question: Could Barack have been elected president without the doctrine known as Political Correctness?

It is the 3,000 lb gorilla in the middle of American politics. Is Barry Hussein Soetoro eligible to be president of the United States of America? And if he isn’t, why is everyone who has a sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States allowing an illegitimate Usurper to continue his personal quest to undermine the fundamental principles of a Constitution-based federal republic form of government rather than protect the constitution, which is their sworn oath to do? What is absolutely true and in the words of former President Clinton’s U.S. counter terrorism official Richard Clarke. Our government has failed us. Moreover, it is continuing to fail us on the must import constitutional question to come about in the history of the United States of America. In a move to break American resistance to taxation, British Parliament in 1773 relaxed a tax on exports, allowing a struggling English tea company to send its surplus product to the colonies. The tea would be priced low, but carry a tax payable to Parliament. Sensing a trap, the colonists organized. At Charleston the tea was seized and stored by customs agents. At New York the ship was turned back. At Boston, the seat of American agitation, 340 trunks of tea were thrown into the harbor.

We’re seeing similar protests today. Jury nullification of drug convictions. The launch of Wikileaks to reveal government secrets. And perhaps the closest thing to the Boston Tea Party to date, coordinated resistance to naked body scans and evasive pat downs at airports on November 24, 2010. Standing largely apart from this Tea Party inspired activism, is “the Tea Party movement.”

Young people adopt new and unusual sayings to individuate from parents, schoolteachers and other adults. “Off the hook,” was one such phrase. It was popular several years ago. A year or so later you heard one of the View ladies call something “off the hook.” By this time youths were saying “off the chain.” Responsible, financially secure, community involved, set-in-their-ways adults caught up, forcing young people to drop the phrase altogether. It’s like this for libertarians and the Tea Party………

The conservative group Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) announced Saturday that Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) would be expelled from the group’s National Advisory Board because of his “delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.”

“It is a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative-libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with America’s needs for national security than the current feeble and appeasing administration,” YAF’s Senior National Director Jordan Marks said in a statement.

“Rep. Paul’s refusal to support our nation’s military and national security interests border on treason, aside from his failure to uphold his oath to the United States Constitution and defend our country and citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Marks continued.

According to the group’s founding statement of principles, the Sharon Statement, “American foreign policy must be judged by this criterion: does it serve the just interests of the United States?”

In a series of interviews with someone called “Ulsterman“, a former White House Insider confirms what I have been saying about Barack Obama since before his election in 2008.

Obama is a light weight, a front man, an impostor, unfit to be President. “Everything was handed to him.” He likes to campaign. He doesn’t like to govern. He’s lazy and prefers to watch sports. He’s not that smart. He doesn’t have the gravitas to be President. He’s more at home in a bathhouse than the White House.

This “insider” helped Obama get elected. But now he’s part of a groundswell in the Democratic Party to replace Obama with Hillary Clinton in 2012. After the expected mid-term election debacle, the gloves will come off. A Watergate-like scandal is brewing. It reaches back to Obama’s days in Chicago. As with the Lewinsky scandal, the Presidency will be paralyzed.

A couple of quotes jumped out at me. They seem to get to the heart of the problem. Neither Obama nor his wife really identify with Americans.

Because of specific differences beyond the scope of this paper I am not including in the list the fact that Americans managed to get rid of Adolf Hitler at the cost of a hundred fold increase in Josef Stalin’s power and half a century of Cold War that cost them dearly.

Now the United States is replacing an ally, Hosni Mubarak, with the superlatively hostile Muslim Brotherhood, mother of all anti-American movements in the Islamic world…

We have been musing on the Obama administration‘s handling of the events transpiring in Egypt. Many of us would like to believe that Barack Obama is genuinely incompetent as has been suggested, but what if it’s something else? What if things are going precisely the way Barack Obama wants them to go? This is the basis for an an interesting article by Victor Sharpe over at American Thinker.

My fear is that Obama is not naïve at all, but he instead knows only too well what he is doing, for he is eagerly promoting Islamic power in the world while diminishing the West and Israel, however much innocent blood will flow as a result.

In 1950 in Korea, signs of an upcoming attack were thick on the ground, but US intelligence didn’t notice—with disastrous results. Nor did it notice when the PLA was about to enter the war—with disastrous results.

As noted above, in 1959 the CIA made a complete botch of the attack on Cuba. Again: the Children’s Agency thought that the Cubans would rise against Castro. The results were politically disastrous.

In 1961, the U2 got shot down over Russia. It was not up to the CIA’s standards of catastrophe, being merely embarrassing. I suppose it is too much to expect perfect consistency.

Washington is confused; Hollywood is not real.

In the movie Minority Report, Tom Cruise heads a police division called “Pre-crime.” I watched it and thought: ’Cool movie.’ John Ashcroft watched it and thought: ’Let’s do it!’

Recently Congress attempted to reauthorize 3 (three) “non-controversial” (read: “completely unconstitutional”) sections of The Patriot Act. For those who like to see for themselves google these variously: patriot act sec. 1805; patriot act sec. 1861; or, patriot act sec. 1862

Now, I could copy and paste the pertinent parts, but then you wouldn’t read it, so I will use a modicum of artistic license…

In order for a judge to grant the federal government the authority to spy on a citizen, a judge cannot consider activities that are constitutionally-protected. However, he or she can consider the possibilty of future crimes (pre-crime) based on past activities.

The Administration has begun a campaign to convince the American people that the United Nations should be “strengthened, not starved.” With Obama’s dream of remaking America in the image of Europe, is it any wonder? Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, delivered a speech last night, the first in a series aimed at selling the idea to the country:

“The U.N. provides a real return on our tax dollars by bringing 192 countries together to share the cost of providing stability, vital aid and hope in the world’s most broken places.” (You’re messin’ with us, right?) She continued: “Because of the UN, the world doesn’t look to America to solve every problem alone. We’re far better off working to strengthen the U.N. than trying to starve it — and then having to choose between filling the void ourselves, or leaving real threats untended.” Does this woman smoke crack?

The UN is arguably the most hypocritical and corrupt organization in the history of the planet, yet Obama wants to give it more money and more clout. He has promised to double foreign aid to $50 billion by next year, while also insisting he wants to make UN programs “more effective.” Good luck with that one. During the presidential campaign, Obama said the following:

“For the last twenty years, U.S. foreign aid funding has done little more than keep pace with inflation. Doubling our foreign assistance spending by 2012 will help meet the challenge…it will help push the rest of the developed world to invest in security and opportunity…we have the capacity to make sure this funding makes a real difference.” YES WE CAN’T.

His own website claims that Sen. Obama’s Kenyan citizenship did not expire until 1982. In 1980, Sen. Obama was not an American citizen and his legal name was Barry Soetoro. He has never shown evidence that he has naturalized as an American citizen, and he has never produced any document that indicates a name change from Barry Soetoro to Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama Is Illegitimate Because Of

*His Kenyan Citizenship From Age 2, And

*His Indonesian Citizenship From Around Age 5 Until Now.
