Was Jesus — or Lincoln — the Savior of the World? by Thomas DiLorenzo

March 7, 2011 1 comment

…Each paragraph of Beran’s article is more ridiculous than the preceding one. As Paul Gottfried has noted in his books and other writings, a prerequisite for being a neocon in good standing is an expression of sheer, unmitigated hatred of the South and its people.

Thus, Beran claims that had the South been able to secede peacefully, it would have naturally joined forces with the Nazis “the successors of Otto von Bismarck,” as Beran puts it to wage war against America. What Beran is saying here is that the descendants and political heirs of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, John Tyler, Patrick Henry, Zachary Taylor, and other prominent Southerners, would have joined forces with European fascists to wage war on their own people.

Only a moron could believe such a thing. In fact, it was Lincoln’s own philosophy of coercion that was completely in sync with the political philosophy of Bismarck. Bismarck all but destroyed the principle of states’ rights and federalism in Germany, just as Lincoln’s war did in the U.S. Hitler himself praised Bismarck — and Lincoln — in Mein Kampf for providing precedents for the consolidation of all political power in the central governments of the two countries. I describe Hitler’s praise for Lincoln’s anti-state sovereignty statements in his first inaugural address in my book, Lincoln Unmasked.

Lincoln did not restrict his philosophy of coercion to Southerners. He tyrannized the North as well by illegally suspending the writ of habeas corpus and mass arresting and imprisoning tens of thousands of political dissenters without due process; shut down hundreds of opposition newspapers; started the war without congressional approval; deported an outspoken member of the opposition party, Clement Vallandigham of Ohio; issued an arrest warrant for the Chief Justice after the jurist wrote an opinion on the unconstitutionality of his suspension of habeas corpus; confiscated firearms; imprisoned much of the Maryland legislature; illegally orchestrated the secession of West Virginia; censored all telegraph communication; used soldiers to rig Northern elections; and adopted the slavery of military conscription and income taxation………..

Political Narratives On Race, Southern Identity Influence National Elections

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

“In 2004, then-Senator Zell Miller, a Democrat, gave a speech at the Republican National Convention that garnered widespread attention for its angry tone and its refutation of the Democratic Party as representing Southern interests. Following Miller’s speech, Republicans and Democrats spun competing political narratives about the American South.”

“The Republicans portrayed Southerners as rural, loyal to their party, God-fearing, pragmatic and family-oriented people who had learned their lesson about racial prejudice,” Moss says. “Democrats highlighted the South’s history of racial strife, intolerance and resistance to change. However, both narratives painted a picture of a predominantly white Southern electorate, giving little voice to the African-American population.

“One factor in Obama’s later success in the South may have been his ability, as an African-American, to cut through those competing narratives and allow African-American Southerners to regain a political identity.”The two narratives in 2004 effectively reinforced the idea that political power rested primarily in the hands of white voters.

“The narratives effectively marginalized African-Americans,” Moss says, “by defining the South’s regional identity in terms of how whites have handled political power.”Excerpt Read more at news.ncsu.edu …

Conspiracy in Philadelphia by Gary North

March 7, 2011 2 comments

The book’s thesis is, even for me, controversial.

I provide 400+ pages of evidence that the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was in fact an illegal coup d’état.

The participants knew this

This is why they took a lifetime oath of secrecy, walked upstairs to the second floor of the State House so that eavesdroppers could not report what was going on, closed the doors, and hammered out the design for a replacement government.

Newspaper reporters were excluded. These men had been authorized by Congress and by several state legislatures only to revise the Articles of Confederation 1781, but not replace them.

Knowing full well that they planned to replace the Articles with a new form of government, the leaders of the Convention nevertheless agreed to the terms laid down by the state legislatures, and then went off to Philadelphia to begin the first stage of a political revolution.

The story of this second American revolution is not told in the public school textbooks or in the “Christian America” seminars that are dear to the hearts of Christian home schoolers.

But what about Verna Hall’s book, A Christian History of the Constitution? Its documentation ends in 1774. It is also worth noting that the book was edited by her colleague, Joseph Montgomery, who was a Christian Scientist. Why did he edit it? Because Miss Hall was a Christian Scientist at the time she began compiling her book.

I discuss this little-known background in my book.

IT WILL NEVER CHANGE…Craig Maus

csacommand@windstream.net
Dear Brethren (hundreds bcc herein),
Prior to last November’s elections, we Confederates told you that things would NOT change as a result of those elections.
We described the ‘two-party’ system of the Federal system as being ‘two wings of the same bird’ and equally, told you what to expect after the election.
We also told you that all we accomplished was buy ‘ourselves’ some time for what’s left of America.
The ‘one wing’ of the Federal system is the more powerful and more evil of the two- that being the DemonCrat wing while the other, its mentally inferior and wholesale stupid sibling- the ‘Republican/GOP’ wing, acts its fool in creating the foundation for its stronger partner.
Collectively, they have combined through perpetual ineptness a wholesale demagoguery made of innate corruption, constantly manipulated over time through deceit & chicanery, bringing us all to where we are today.
The Central State has obliterated any remnants of the former Republic and has replaced it, deliberately, with a self-serving two-party hegemony that underwrites its own life insurance & perpetuity through  the expense & at the hands of every American.
Despite the obvious will of the ‘People’, their system and their two party’s will continue to ignore our wishes and continue to proceed in doing what they want, how they want and when they want despite their ‘promises’ made as ‘candidates’ that always prove to be false & baseless.
It has become ALL that was envisioned by our Confederate ancestors when they decided 150 years ago that it was time to Separate!
Time has only proven them & us correct!
As ‘Rome’ continues to burn, the ‘Republican’ wing of this ‘bird’ is now back peddling, as was expected, from reducing the massive Federal debt that they helped to create when their ‘boy’ was in office.
They talk about a $30 billion dollar cut in Federal spending, as if that is going to make some sort of difference in this entire dilemma.

Expanded Federal Powers ~ States Have No Rights According to Many State Legislators| The Post & Email

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

Expanded Federal PowersOver the years since the ratification of the US Constitution, a steady effort has been under way to expand federal powers, not by Amendment process, but by legal interpretations of existing constitutional text. The Supremacy ClauseCommerce ClauseGeneral Welfare Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause, have all been intentionally perverted for the purpose of expanding federal powers.

Although these clauses all exist in constitutional text as delegated powers, the modern interpretation of these federal powers are now the exact opposite of their original intent. Federal law is “supreme” only to the degree that federal law is “constitutional” – within the delegated powers of the federal government to begin with. The Commerce Clause relates only to Commerce, or trade. Not every interstate event. The General Welfare clause was intended to keep the federal government from making laws that did not serve the general welfare of all states and citizens equally. And the Necessary and Proper Clause was intended to limit federal law-making to only those laws necessary and proper in the carrying out of delegated and enumerated powers. In other words, all of these clauses were written into the US Constitution in an overt effort to limit federal powers. Yet, it is these clauses which have been perverted to an opposite meaning today, and used to expand federal power to the point that many state officials no longer know that they have state sovereignty and rights……….

The Administration and the U.S. Congress are fast-tracking a number of programs designed to increase the size of what’s commonly known as the Welfare State ~ NWV News – Charity Slump Caused by Government, Say Conservative Christians

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

Obama administration and the U.S. Congress are fast-tracking a number of programs designed to increase the size of what’s commonly known as the Welfare State

The AObama , according to a chairman of the Forsyth County, NC GOP.Conservatives and libertarians believe that all the talk of reducing the trillions of dollar in debt and the promised deficit reduction coming out of the White House is a diversion to secretly move money from some programs to others in order to grab more votes and more power.

These government programs – paid for by U.S. taxpayers — are having a devastating impact on American charitable giving, according to Nathan Tabor, a North Carolina GOP chairman, author, and entrepreneur.“While the wealthy have been vilified, the census data shows that households earning $200,000-plus, that are only 2.6 percent of all households who submit tax returns, gives nearly 50% of all individual charitable contributions,” said Tabor.

of the drawbacks of the Obama Administration’s and the liberal-left’s tax law revision is the decrease in the amount charity-givers may deduct from their annual federal income tax. Ideologues such as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain and others believe that the government should use the “cover” of charity as a means of redistributing wealth, say many conservative and libertarian financial and economic experts.

Dr. Dennis Cuddy — A Guinea Pig Remembers

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

The book, Educating for the New World Order by Bev Eakman, describes the psychological testing which has been done on American public school students over the past quarter century, and I would like to recount my own experience as one of the early “guinea pigs.” In 1963, the Carnegie Corporation gave $75,000 toward the first year $225,000 over 3 years of the North Carolina Governor’s School, which I attended.

It was the first of its kind in the country, where TIME June 28, 1963 said “Four hundred of North Carolina’s most brilliant and creative high school students have been brought together for an intensive eight-week summer study program.”On May 6, 1963, Prof. George Welsh of the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill wrote to The Psychological Corporation of New York indicating that at the Governor’s School “we are planning to administer an extensive test battery including measures of aptitude, interest, and personality.” On May 10, Harold Seashore, director of the Corporation’s Test Division, replied to Prof. Welsh and indicated that if he used their test, “we would want a set of the cards filed with us, so that we can accumulate information on groups like this over the years.”

Basic Constitutional Knowledge 101

It’s widely known that our federal government was created by the states the colonies to serve at the pleasure of the states and the people. We know that our federal government is a Representative Republic not a popular democracy and that the governing Law of the Land is the US Constitution, not an unelected oligarchy.

It’s understood that the federal government was assigned certain specific duties and the authority necessary to perform those duties, and we also know that any powers and duties not specifically delegated to the federal government in the US Constitution, are duties and powers reserved to the states and/or the people, under the Tenth Amendment in the Bill of Rights.Despite this common knowledge, many remain confused about state rights and the methods of protecting and preserving the Republic and specifically, the rights of each state. Legislators and lawyers are no exception………………………………………..

Political correctness and the birth certificate

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

You’ve all heard Bill O’Reilly, Chris Matthews and Lawrence O’Donnell rant and rave about this “non-issue” – making it seem like only crazy people would have a concern about the eligibility of the present occupant of the White House.

They insist all questions have been answered, that we’ve all seen the actual birth certificate, that Barack Obama’s life is an open book.

But now that the integrity of the Constitution has rightfully become a state issue, because of the abject failure of all controlling legal authorities at the federal level, media at the state and local level are jumping into the act, attempting to enforce acceptance of Obama’s story on an unwilling public through the sheer tyranny of “political correctness.”Here are some recent examples for amusement purposes:

Bill O’Reilly And Old Media: Not Waving But Drowning

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

It has become abundantly clear that the establishment is so petrified of the fact that Alex Jones is at the tip of the spear of a new media revolution that is sweeping away the old guard, that we have now reached the point where talking heads like Bill O’Reilly and indeed the Obama White House itself dare not even mention his name.

a segment about “the dumbest things of the week,” Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly entertained his dwindling geriatric audience by poking fun at Alex Jones’ appearance on The View last week, chuckling and guffawing at the behavior of “some guy on the radio, we really don’t know who he is.”

for Bill O’Reilly, whose own radio show was cancelled in 2008 because of plummeting ratings, that “guy on the radio” is totally creaming Billo on every measurable platform…………………………….

The Cannibalization of Charlie Sheen by Anthony Gregory

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

That Charlie Sheen has been the biggest national story, while the Arab world is aflame with revolution and the U.S. marches toward ever more war and economic disaster, is not the most remarkable thing.

What is most striking is how easily so many line up behind a consensus that someone ought to be the butt of all jokes and the focus of everyone’s mockery and outrage. Why is the public so obsessed?

Does the public’s obsession fuel the media’s, or is it the other way around?Indeed, the main mystery is why so many entertainers have jumped on the bandwagon to belittle the actor.

Why are so many glitterati pointing their fingers and laughing, judging, and psychoanalyzing Sheen from afar? And even if it was kind of funny the first time to compare his eccentric quips to the ranting of the dictator Qadafi, isn’t it a bit unseemly for so many to be piling on with such insults?………………………

Indeed, the word secession is not even a part of the vocabulary of most Americans, who more often … Read More

The Fading Power of Beck’s Alarms NYSlimes Barf Alert

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

Almost every time I flipped on television last week, there was a deeply angry guy on a running tirade about the conspiracies afoot, the enemies around all corners, and how he alone seemed to understand what was under way.

While it’s true that Charlie Sheen sucked up a lot of airtime last week, I’d been watching Glenn Beck, the Fox News host who invoked Hezbollah, socialists, the price of gas, Shariah law, George Soros, Planned Parenthood, and, yes, Charlie Sheen, as he predicted a coming apocalypse.

Mr. Beck, a conservative Jeremiah and talk-radio phenomenon, burst into television prominence in 2009 by taking the forsaken 5 p.m. slot on Fox News and turning it into a juggernaut. A conjurer of conspiracies who spotted sedition everywhere he looked, Mr. Beck struck a big chord and ended up on the cover of Time magazine and The New York Times Magazine, and held rallies all over the country that were mobbed with acolytes. He achieved unheard-of ratings, swamped the competition and at times seemed to threaten the dominion of Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity at Fox.Excerpt Read more at nytimes.com …

A Glimpse Of The Evil That Lurks In The Progressivevik Soul

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

For months now, I have repeatedly warned of the evil of the Progressivevik movement. During these long months, I’ve been called a Right Wing nutjob, a racist, an antisemite, a homophobe, an Islamophobe, a Glenn Beck wannabe, blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Quite frankly, if a day goes by that I’m not personally attacked or called a “FAUX News zombie” by some outraged leftist, well, it’s like a day without sunshine, pilgrim.

See, the reason why all of that nonsense rolls off my back is this: I’m right.

I know 2+2=4, not 5.For proof, let’s look at two quotes:

One from Sherrod Brown The Clown, the dingbat Imperial Senator from Ohio I don’t really need to tell you what party this bottom feeder is from, do I ? and the other one is from America‘s first foreign-born President, Barack Hussein Obama…………………….

NY Times Columnist Has a Dream: Maybe Beck and Fox News Will Break Up!

The flow of the Fox New line-up is a testament to the network’s trust in the convictions and creative visions of a truly unique group of hosts and their dedicated production teams.

And I’m always amazed at the consistency of the ratings — particularly Glenn’s. The news cycle brings big swings to those numbers, but you can always look for that plumb line trend…

“According to Barack Obama, high gas prices don’t really constitute a problem for Americans” ~ Obama: I’d like higher gas prices, just not so quickly” June 11, 2008. Flashback to the past

March 7, 2011 4 comments

According to Barack Obama, high gas prices don’t really constitute a problem for Americans

He stated yesterday that the reason for our anger is the rapid increase in prices, not the prices themselves

Obama claimed that Americans would have accepted a “gradual adjustment” to the current cost:Obama wants higher gas prices? Do the rest of the Democrats feel the same way?

It certainly would explain why they continue to block domestic energy production in oil.

It would also explain the bloated Lieberman-Warner bill, which would have imposed a heavy regulatory bureaucracy on the energy industry, along with rationing that would have both driven up prices and held down supply.
