The exercise is planned for Saturday at Treynor High School in Pottawattamie County and will involve more than 300 people, confirmed Doug Reed, the lead exercise planner for the county’s emergency management agency. Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy

Two years ago, George Soros said he wanted to reorganize the entire global economic system. In two short weeks, he is going to start – and no one seems to have noticed.

On April 8, a group he’s funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros’s goal for such an event is to “establish new international rules” and “reform the currency system.” It’s all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for “a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order.”

The event is bringing together “more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought leaders’ to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. …And the same could be said for the Washington Post, which has on its board: Lee Bollinger, the President of Columbia University and Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Warren Buffett, billionaire financial investor, Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway; and individuals associated with (past or presently): the Coca-Cola Company, New York University, Conservation International, the Council on Foreign Relations, Xerox, Catalyst, Johnson & Johnson, Target Corporation, RAND Corporation, General Motors, and the Business Council, among others.

It is also important to address how the mainstream media is intertwined, often covertly and secretly, with the government. Carl Bernstein, one of the two Washington Post reporters who covered the Watergate scandal, revealed that there were over 400 American journalists who had “secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency.” Interestingly, “the use of journalists has been among the most productive means of intelligence-gathering employed by the CIA.” Among organizations which cooperated with the CIA were the “American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company, the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, Newsweek magazine, the Mutual Broadcasting System, the Miami Herald and the old Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald-Tribune.”

By far the most valuable of these associations, according to CIA officials, have been with the New York Times, CBS and Time Inc. The CIA even ran a training program “to teach its agents to be journalists,” who were “then placed in major news organizations with help from management.”

These types of relationships have continued in the decades since, although perhaps more covertly and quietly than before. For example, it was revealed in 2000 that during the NATO bombing of Kosovo, “several officers from the US Army’s 4th Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) Group at Ft. Bragg worked in the news division at CNN’s Atlanta headquarters.” This same Army Psyop outfit had “planted stories in the U.S. media supporting the Reagan Administration’s Central America policies,” which was described by the Miami Herald as a “vast psychological warfare operation of the kind the military conducts to influence a population in enemy territory.” These Army PSYOP officers also worked at National Public Radio (NPR) at the same time. The US military has, in fact, had a strong relationship with CNN…….

The Failure to Stand Up to Evil Leads to Insanity, Poverty and the Loss of All Our Rights

Preface: I am using the word “evil” in its secular sense in this essay, as in a horrible, destructive act … religion is beyond the scope of this essay.

When someone fails to stand up to a heinous act, that leads to a whole chain of events.

It Enables More Destructive Acts

Initially, by failing to stand up to the bad act, we are enabling the person who committed it to do bigger and worse things in the future.

Army psychiatrist and Christian philosopher M. Scott Peck wrote extensively on evil in People of the Lie (since Peck was a psychiatrist and an empirical researcher, his investigation of the dynamics of those who commit heinous acts and the subsequent attempts to cover them up is very interesting, even for atheists who will disregard all religious overtones). As Peck wrote:

It is necessary that we first draw the distinction between evil and ordinary sin. It is not their sins per se that characterize evil people…The central defect of the evil is not the sin but the refusal to acknowledge it.

And a longer passage:

We lie only when we are attempting to cover up something we know to be illicit. Some rudimentary form of conscience must precede the act of lying. There is no need to hide unless we first feel that something needs to be hidden. We come now to a sort of paradox. Evil people feel themselves to be perfect. At the same time, however, they have an unacknowledged sense of their own evil nature. Indeed, it is this very sense from which they are frantically trying to flee. The essential component of evil is not the absence of a sense of sin or imperfection but the unwillingness to tolerate that sense. At once and the same time, the evil are aware of their evil and desperately trying to avoid the awareness. Rather than blissfully lacking a sense of morality like the psychopath, they are continually engaged in sweeping the evidence of their evil under the rug of their own consciousness (or attempting to redefine their evil as good). The problem is not a defect of conscience, but the effort to deny the conscience its due. We become evil by attempting to hide from ourselves. The wickedness of the evil is not committed directly, but indirectly as a part of this cover-up process. Evil originates not in the absence of guilt but in the effort to escape it. Since they will do almost anything to avoid the particular pain that comes from self-examination, under ordinary circumstances, the evil are the last people who would ever come to psychotherapy. The evil hate the light – the light of goodness that shows them up, the light of scrutiny that exposes them, the light of the truth that penetrates their deception.

So when people fail to stand up to the heinous acts of a bad person, they are empowering that person’s cover up, the very core of their propensity to do further bad acts in the future….CONTINUES…

The CIA’s Libya Rebels: The Same Terrorists who Killed US, NATO Troops in Iraq « TARPLEY.net

The current military attack on Libya has been motivated by UN Security Council resolution 1973 with the need to protect civilians. Statements by President Obama, British Prime Minister Cameron, French President Sarkozy, and other leaders have stressed the humanitarian nature of the intervention, which is said to aim at preventing a massacre of pro-democracy forces and human rights advocates by the Qaddafi regime.

But at the same time, many commentators have voiced anxiety because of the mystery which surrounds the anti-Qaddafi transitional government which emerged at the beginning of March in the city of Benghazi, located in the Cyrenaica district of north-eastern Libya. This government has already been recognized by France and Portugal as the sole legitimate representative of the Libyan people. The rebel council seems to be composed of just over 30 delegates, many of whom are enveloped in obscurity. In addition, the names of more than a dozen members of the rebel council are being kept secret, allegedly to protect them from the vengeance of Qaddafi. But there may be other reasons for the anonymity of these figures. Despite much uncertainty, the United Nations and its several key NATO countries, including the United States, have rushed forward to assist the armed forces of this rebel regime with air strikes, leading to the loss of one or two coalition aircraft and the prospect of heavier losses to come, especially if there should be an invasion. It is high time that American and European publics learned something more about this rebel regime which is supposed to represent a democratic and humanitarian alternative to Gaddafi.

The rebels are clearly not civilians, but an armed force. What kind of an armed force?

Since many of the rebel leaders are so difficult to research from afar, and since a sociological profile of the rebels cannot be done on the ground in the midst of warfare, perhaps the typical methods of social history can be called on for help. Is there a way for us to gain deeper insight into the climate of opinion which prevails in such northeastern Libya………………

Radioactive yellow rain that fell in Tokyo and surrounding areas last night caused panic amongst Japanese citizens and prompted a flood of phone calls to Japan’s Meteorological Agency this morning, with people concerned that they were being fed the same lies as victims of Chernobyl, who were told that yellow rain which fell over Russia and surrounding countries after the 1986 disaster was merely pollen, the same explanation now being offered by Japanese authorities.

World War II Vet Learns He’s Not a U.S. Citizen

CENTRALIA, WA – Imagine living in this country for nearly a 100 years only to learn you’re not a citizen.

It happened to a 95-year-old military veteran in Washington named Leeland Davidson.

Davidson knew he was born in Canada in 1916, but figured because his parents were American, he was automatically a U.S. citizen.

He was able to join the Navy and served in World War II, but when Davidson recently went to get the driver’s license he needed to go to Canada to visit relatives, he learned otherwise.

Ron Paul is Right: Blowback is Undisputable Fact

s Ron Paul correct in asserting that blowback is an undisputable fact? Polling numbers compiled by USA Election Polls seem to bear witness to the fact that his momentum is increasing or at least remaining steady, and considering Mr. Paul’s vociferous stands on foreign policy, this is a reasonable assertion. Occasioned by the republican debate in South Carolina, Mr. Paul acknowledged that blowback is at least in part to blame for the 9-11 attacks.

It is not surprising that this stand has not earned him many friends within George Bush’s camp, but the truth of the matter dictates that Mr. Bush very expressly stated that nation building was not in the best interest for American or the world, yet a few short years later this very concept is being applied – albeit using different terminology – in Iraq.

Gas to Hit $5 Per Gallon Before Summer

Oil industry experts warn that the price for a gallon of gas will reach $5 before summer. They blame the unfolding conflict in Libya and across the oil-producing Middle East for exploding prices.

Oil prices do not follow the classic laws of capitalist supply and demand. Despite the fact the Energy Department reported a 2 million-barrel rise in crude oil supplies for the week that ended March 18, according to a survey by Platts, the energy information arm of McGraw-Hill Cos, the price of gas continues to rise. The increase represented 970,000 barrels.

Supply and demand is an irrelevant theory under globalist mercantilism.

“Supply and demand mean nothing to the oil industry. Basic economics teaches that if supply goes down, prices will go up. If demand goes down, prices go down. The inverse of each is also true, unless you are in the oil industry,” writes The Mercury in an op-ed. “Previous excuses for price increases of gasoline have been damage to refineries by Hurricane Katrina, a pipeline leak in Alaska, the increased cost of refining for the summer time driving season, the war in Iraq, and most anything that can be associated with gasoline.”

Confronted with an overall supply increase, the industry expects gasoline supplies to decline by 2 million barrels, distillate stocks to shrink by 1.5 million barrels and refinery utilization to increase by 0.3 percentage point to 83.7 percent according to Bloomberg.

Nielsen Wire reports that a 50-cent increase in gas prices would cost the typical U.S. household about $52.50 per month, and if prices were to rise two dollars, that would mean $210 a month, or more than $2,500 a year.

In December, former oil industry chaplain Lindsey Williams said the price of oil would skyrocket to between $150 and $200 a barrel this year. Williams became a friend and trusted confidant of oil industry executives while he served as chaplain for them and their construction crews building the Alaska pipeline during the 1970s.

In the last few days, Obama administration officials have frequently faced the question: Is the fighting in Libya a war? From military officers to White House spokesmen up to the president himself, the answer is no. But that leaves the question: What is it?

In a briefing on board Air Force One Wednesday, deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes took a crack at an answer. “I think what we are doing is enforcing a resolution that has a very clear set of goals, which is protecting the Libyan people, averting a humanitarian crisis, and setting up a no-fly zone,” Rhodes said. “Obviously that involves kinetic military action, particularly on the front end.”

Rhodes’ words echoed a description by national security adviser Tom Donilon in a briefing with reporters two weeks ago as the administration contemplated action in Libya. “Military steps — and they can be kinetic and non-kinetic, obviously the full range — are not the only method by which we and the international community are pressuring Gadhafi,” Donilon said.

Rhodes and Donilon are by no means alone. “Kinetic” is heard in a lot of descriptions of what’s going on in Libya. “As we are successful in suppressing the [Libyan] air defenses, the level of kinetic activity should decline,” Defense Secretary Robert Gates said in a meeting with reporters in Moscow Tuesday. In a briefing with reporters the same day from on board the USS Mount Whitney, Admiral Samuel Locklear, commander of Joint Task Force Odyssey Dawn, said, “The coalition brings together a wide array of capabilities that allow us to minimize the collateral damage when we have to take kinetic operations.” On Monday, General Carter Ham, head of U.S. Africa Command, said of the coalition forces, “We possess certainly a very significant kinetic capability.” And unnamed sources use it too. “In terms of the heavy kinetic portion of this military action, the president envisions it as lasting days, not weeks,” an unnamed senior official told CNN Saturday.

Look at it this way, if you were looking for someone on the Internet and cannot find them, think how much easier it would be if that person had his/her own website out there, wouldn’t that make things a whole lot easier.

Once you establish your own visible presence (your website) on the WWW, those who knew you and/or may be searching for you, and others with the info you seek, as well, will have a starting point. It’s that simple–it may take a while, but results will eventually come. It’s easy to find people who are already on the Internet! A group of voters filed a recall petition Wednesday against East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Councilwoman Alison Cascio, saying her votes do not reflect the views of her District 11 constituents, according to a website promoting the recall.

The petition was hand-delivered Tuesday to the Secretary of State’s Office.

It was signed by Hunter Bridges and Charles Bowden, said Sailor Jackson, spokesman for the Secretary of State’s Office.

Members of the recall committee deferred comment to the website http://www.recallcascio.com.

It was unclear Wednesday how many people are involved in the recall effort.

Instead of focusing on the fact that Barack Obama had just broken his oath of office, the War Powers Act and acted way beyond his constitutional authority at the command of the United Nations alone, Republicans seem only concerned with helping Obama put that genie back in the bottle after the fact.

A US president has authority to use military force only under the following conditions, none of which exist in the case of Libya, from Section II – C of the War Powers Act.

(1) a declaration of war, (which only congress can declare)

(2) specific statutory authorization, (as Bush received for both Afghanistan and Iraq)

(3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces. (As Reagan used in the 1986 bombing of Libya)

Senator Obama knew this in 2007, which means that President Obama knowingly and willfully broke the law in 2011.

George W. adopted a grandiose, and historically contradicted, vision of a Jeffersonian democracy for Iraq.

He hoped to impose that Western style democracy on a nation that had always known either theocratic or secular dictatorships. The regime that remains, propped up by heavy United States’ financing, is one that no group within the country finds satisfactory. Sooner or later it will likely collapse or be transformed, a civil war will follow, and a return to dictatorship will likely be Iraq’s fate. We have spent hundreds of billions of dollars on that fiasco, in no small measure because the second Gulf War, unlike the first, had no clearly defined objective or exit strategy.

As Gasoline Soars, Libyan Rebels Pay 46 Cents a Gallon [Oil Is A Powerful Weapon]

BENGHAZI, Libya — World fuel prices are surging, in part because of the bloody battle to topple Moammar Gadhafi, but there’s one place where the price of a gallon of gasoline actually has dropped: war-torn Libya.

Rebels in eastern Libya filling up their tanks as they head to battle down the country’s coastal highway are paying 25 percent less than they did before their revolution began last month.

Today, gasoline costs the equivalent of 46 U.S. cents a gallon; last week, the price was just over 62 cents.

Editorial: What Is U.S. National Interest In Libya?

Libya: As the coalition buckles and the objectives of our Libyan adventure remain a mystery, a neglected question has emerged: Is President Obama surreptitiously reshaping U.S. values?

Last Friday, in an article about how President Obama “turned on a dime toward war” in Libya, Foreign Policy magazine reported on a group of outside “experts” at a White House meeting who were told by “a senior administration official” that attacking Libya was “the greatest opportunity to realign our interests and our values” — a quote “from Obama himself,” according to the official.

Right now, Libya looks like an object lesson in the failure of multilateralism.

The official objective is to save civilians, but the president says Gadhafi must go. The U.N.’s official aim is only “to protect civilians and civilian-populated areas under threat of attack.” Yet 2,200 Marines from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina have been given the mission of “protecting the Libyan people from Gadhafi forces.”

Are we helping the Libyan rebels? “I haven’t had any unofficial communications or official communications” with the opposition forces, the operations commander, Adm. Samuel Locklear, tells reporters.

Who’ll ultimately be running military efforts in Libya?

“This is still being worked in Brussels,” according to the National Security Council. Who’ll pay for establishing a no-fly zone costing $400 million to $800 million, then maybe $100 million a week to maintain? That’s as unknown as Operation Odyssey Dawn’s objectives.

…It is important to understand what the various human writers of the Bible say about the Bible itself. What kind of book is it? What do they testify about it?

The Bible never claims to be an “inspirational” book which grants its reader some sort of spiritual insight or self-enlightenment. The Bible was not given to motivate us to live better lives, or to motivate us to do great things. As we have seen, the Bible is given by God as a testimony to the Word made flesh (Jesus).

The testimony of the biblical writers is paramount. As Paul says in his second letter to Timothy, “all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” Although the term “inspiration of Scripture” is used to describe God’s revelation of himself to us in written form, modern translations of the Bible (such as the ESV) correctly note that the verb which the King James Version famously translated as “inspired” (theopneustos) is better translated as “breathed out” by God. This emphasizes the fact that the various books of the Bible (Scripture) are given to us by God (”breathed out”) through the agency of human authors. This is why in Romans 3:2, for example, Paul can speak of the Old Testament as “the very words of God.”…

A Clear and Present Danger To the Republic

…The President has publicly stated that he knows that Congress, not the President, is the seat of the constitutional war power. His public replacement of the Congress with the U.N. as authority for his presidential actions is a public statement that he has replaced the U.S. Constitution with the U.N. as the source of U.S. presidential authority; there is no other possible interpretation. Our President has here publicly yielded American sovereignty to the international body.

Some quibble that the President already has the power he is exercising in Libya as Commander in Chief. That responsibility provides him the power to defend the country when attacks precede the ability of Congress to act; it is defensive only. Libya neither threatened nor attacked the U.S. No honest argument can support any other conclusion from these facts….

HOUSTON, 3/23/2011 — With aftershocks from Japan‘s 9,0 3/11/11 killer quake still alarming Pacific nations, some will be delighted to discover that FEMA, NOAA, et al., scheduled tsunami drills at least three months ahead of time.

For others, though, the coincidence of a 9.0 Pacific earthquake and tsunami, scheduled to strike near Oregon today in the exercise scenario, is cause for real alarm. They point out that the U.S. HAARP facility in Alaska, able to create super storms and killer quakes, suddenly cranked out incalculable energy from 3/9, when a 7.2 quake struck Japan, through 3/11, when the big one hit.

Will HAARP be participating in todays exercise? Will the CIA, which is part of secretive training at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas this week? For more about the CIA exercise, refer to my article of yesterday, 3/22 Radioactive Questions for Barack Obama. Are the tsunami drills and the Leavenworth drills connected?

I was right to worry about what the president might do to demonstrate his virility on the international stage, and the confusion surrounding just about everything having to do with the Libya thing certainly proves that. But I had underestimated this administration’s misreading of the situation, and they have dragged most of the pundits along with them, to such an extent that it’s nearly impossible to see Libya in context. Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record. This should concern all Americans.

A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?

The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records—he will not even release his Columbia College thesis. All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well. In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.

What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth………………..

National Guard Called Up for Libyan Intervention

Once again, the professional war-makers are taking you to the cleaners. So far, according to Fox News, Obama’s little excursion into Libya has cost you millions. Fox cites a Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments analysis estimating that the Libyan no-fly zone may cost $100 million to $300 million per week.

Clinton’s State Department refuses to provide a figure on how much this unconstitutional boondoggle to oust Gaddafi and secure Libyan oil for transnational globalist corporations will cost.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Democrat from Ohio, has called for Congress to de-fund military operations in Libya, which he estimated costs between $30 million and $100 million a week.

The Pentagon wants $553 billion for the fiscal year beginning October 1. In addition, it wants $118 billion in war costs for the endless occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The violation of Libyan national sovereignty and calculated murder of its citizens is a “national security” issue and beyond the pale of budget cutters, according to Rep. Howard Berman of California, top dog Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

“Do we sit out the whole transition in Egypt or are there roles we can play?” Berman asked in rhetorical fashion. “Even the most rabid budget-cutters have as a general proposition accepted the notion that national security matters are treated differently than other matters.”

Most Marines are quite familiar with abbreviations used such as, USMC, USMCR, etc. Fewer are aware of earlier designations such as USMC SS used for selective service (draftee) Marines during the Korean War Era. In fact I recall that during the Korean era that Marines’ MSN (military service numbers) were prefixed with a K, not the MSN itself actually, but on official orders, administrative records, etc., to designate those who had served a tour in Korea.

Even lesser known to Marines–and, apparently, even some newer members of other services–are certain older abbreviations and designations for both officer and enlisted personnel of the U.S. Army, e.g., AUS for Army of the United States, etc. This information is becoming less and less known these days, and should be of some general interest to all hands.

Myself, I have often seen retired Army officers with “AUS Ret.” after their names–several things of this nature and satisfactory explanations for them have previously eluded me. Hopefully, the following links provided below will shine some light on this area of interest that have also aroused the curiosity of others who may find some answers here.

Historically there is a single group of people who can not decide what to call themselves. Depending on circumstances of the day they have tried socialist, progressive, liberal, community organizer, and one popular in the early 1900s through the great depression, WWII, and 1950s, communist.

This is one of those mysteries we have become accustomed to since the start of Obama Administration.

Not having any experience save for that of the nebulous “community organizer” when forced to make decisions Obama has proved a dismal failure. Taking actual decisive action causes Obama to flail around swinging wildly like a child trying to break open a piñata.

Now he has unilaterally decided to plunge us into an undeclared war against Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi begging the question: why Mister Obama, why did you declare war without bringing your case before Congress? Doers the word “quagmire” ring a bell?

Did I miss the 17 United Nations resolutions on Libya and the way Gaddafi treats his people? If not, then why are we at war with Libya?Is this a war for oil?

If so why not just drill within our own borders and save the lives, treasure and national prestige that will be lost in this adventure of yours? Why not admit it is a war for oil?

Are you afraid of “speaking truth to power” and telling the anti American Leftist in your Party a war for oil is a war for American survival?Libya produces just 2% of the world’s oil but oil speculators don’t understand this so losing that 2% has skyrocketed oil prices.

I’ve long believed that the legitimacy of the state – that is, the state as seen and judged by those it governs – has been declining. But I’ve come to conclude that decline is not the right word, as we are not heading to an anti-state moment.

Rather, the ability of the state to act and justify its actions is getting narrower. People are demanding as much of the state but becoming much harsher in their judgement of the state. And the state can no longer assume that because it acts, it can justify its actions merely because it’s the state.

“It’s the right thing to do because we say so. Nyaaah!”Allow me to try and explain.The modern state – the state birthed in the Protestant Enlightenment – possesses two very important monopolies. The first is on the moral and lawful use of violence and coercion.

The state alone can compel human action and punish human beings for actions against the law or for failing to act. This is “moral” because many perhaps most human beings through time have viewed state violence violence done by those who have been appointed agents of the state as having a moral legitimacy that mere individual violence does not have. And this is a trait of the state for as long as human beings have lived together.

This is not new, and it will not go away. This monopoly on lawful and moral violence is what makes the state the state.The other monopoly the state possesses is that of meaning. The state alone, especially from early 19th century through to about the middle of the 20th, took to itself the sole or primary right to construct the narrative through which human life within and often outside the state would be valued and given purpose.

The state would author the story and create the ideas that would determine the purpose and meaning of individual and collective human life, what human beings would live for, contribute for, sacrifice for and die for. The state would accept no alternative narratives, no different meanings – all were considered threats to the creation of a state-centered society society being that community contiguous with the nation-state. The state was the sole creator and sustainer of human purpose, and would accept absolutely no dissent…………………

Obama’s quick trip from tyrant to weakling

After two years of being called a tyrant and a dictator, President Obama returns to Washington from a five-day overseas trip to find that he has become a weakling.

Would-be opponents such as Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Sarah Palin had been trying out this somewhat contradictory line of attack for more than a month, as Obama gave mixed signals about events in Egypt and Libya. But the “weak leader” charge gained traction over the weekend, as Obama chose to launch the attack on Gaddafi’s forces while on an excellent adventure in South America with his family.

At about the moment the Tomahawk missiles began to rain down on Libya, Obama was joking with Brazilians about Carnival, the World Cup and the Olympics. Supreme Court Sides With People; Federal Reserve Must Tell Us Who Received Money

The Federal Reserve does not want the world to know details of “emergency loans” it made to banks in the financial panic of 2008, but the Supreme Court this week effectively said the Fed must tell us.

It did this by today rejecting an appeal of a lower court ruling to force the Fed to reveal the information.

I do hope the GA leadership wakes up before it is too late for our Constitutional Republic and state sovereignty and their duty to protect their state’s citizens from an out of control Progressive/Socialist lead Washington DC elite establishment in both major parties. If the GA leadership has been warned or threatened about dire consequences for the state of GA via revenge from Obama on federal funded state projects, etc., they should not be fooled. Obama is not their friend and they should not keep feeding the crocodile in their row boat in an attempt to keep peace with it. Sooner or later they will have to take on Obama.

So better to do it by getting these laws in place before the next election. If Obama gets re-elected he’s going to rhetorically eat you all down there in GA anyway.

So get your defenses up now and protect Article II, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution so that our Constitution can still protect the great state of GA and its Citizens from Obama and his criminal machine now unconstitutionally in charge in Washington DC and intimidating everyone who crosses his path.

It will only get worse with Obama. It’s time to start fighting back with every tool the several states can muster before it is too late………………………

Congressman Ron Paul made a sweep of television appearances yesterday to voice his strong opposition to the attack on Libya, and making it clear that the president is subverting US national sovereignty by bypassing Congress to engage in illegal acts of aggression.

Appearing on Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano, the Congressman pulled no punches when explaining why he believes Obama went to the UN for authority to drop bombs on Libya, rather than congress.“I think he philosophically believes in one world government,” Paul stated.

“He wants to keep nudging us in that direction. I don’t believe he has a conviction that national sovereignty has any value. So therefore if they can diminish the Congress.” he continued.“If he diminishes the Congress and he can get his authority from the United Nations then this enhances what he believes in. But he is not alone, the leadership in both parties has been nudging in that direction for a long time.” the Congressman added.

“To think of all the effort that the founders went to to make the Congress the most important body, that they are now the most willing to give up their prerogatives and give it to the executive branch and the judicial branch, and onward and onward. Our leaderships in the House as long as I’ve been there have always deferred to the executive branch.” he said.

Paul once again urged the American people to recognize the military incursion into Libya as a war of opportunity.“It is unnecessary, it is wrong, it has nothing to do with national security, it has nothing to do with the defence of this country.” he said.“I think there is more to do with it than just that.

That may be their cover. It may be that oil is an important issue here. We didn’t go to Rwanda for humanitarian reasons, so I’m not to sure that oil might not be the real clincher here.”

Potential Republican presidential contender Herman Cain is known for his straight-talking style and willingness to discuss issues other politicians dare not touch. In his latest interview with Christianity Today, the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO opened up about his faith, his calling in life and his aspirations for political office.

In blunt terms, Cain, a Christian, made no bones about his thoughts on the role of Muslims in modern American society and…“God didn’t keep me here to go play golf, and relax, and take life easy,” he said, referring to his against-the-odds battle back against stage-4 cancer.

“I believe that my life was spared because God had something really big that he wanted me to do. And that’s unfolding.”

Cain also admitted that the though of running for president is something he’s only considered recently. “It was only about nine or ten months ago that, as I watched the first year of the Obama administration, as I watched failing policies, as I watched broken promises, as I watched and read about 15 million people staying unemployed, I couldn’t sit back when I had collected some common sense ideas.”

“I cannot sit still and watch the direction of this country towards radical socialism and not do what I can do,” he said. “Is there somebody else who might be better at being President of the United States than Herman Cain?

There might be. But the people are going to determine that. But I couldn’t sit back and hope that a great leader emerges, or hope that someone becomes President that would tackle the issues the way I would tackle them.”

Today Barack Obama told reporters that Gaddafi can stay.

Politico 44 reported:President Obama indicated on Tuesday that Muammar Qadhafi may still have an opportunity to “change his approach” and put in place “significant reforms” in the Libyan government.

Asked by NBC’s Savannah Guthrie what the U.S. commitment is in Libya if Qadhafi remains in power but continues to pose a threat to his people, Obama appeared to leave the door open for political reforms.

“You are absolutely right that as long as Qadhafi remains in power, and unless he changes his approach and there are significant reforms in the Libyan government that allow the Libyan people to express themselves, there are still going be potential threats against Libyan people—unless he is going to step down,” Obama said.

His quick shift back to what he had earlier stated—that Qadhafi must step down—is more in line with the conclusion that he and his administration officials had come to weeks ago.

But a return to the call for “political reforms” is reminiscent of the White House position on Egypt during its upheaval.

It’s settled then. Gaddafi can stay… Until tomorrow’s press conference.

White House officials told Democratic and Republican congressional aides Tuesday that the U.S. is not at war with Libya and, without laying out a timeline, that the president hopes to hand over control of coalition military operations in the next few days.

Officials present included representatives from the White House Legislative Affairs Office, several members of the intelligence community, a Treasury aide and Gene Cretz, the recently recalled U.S. ambassador to Libya, sources told POLITICO.Aides in attendance said the administration didn’t shed much new light on the situation.

“You learn more by having read the paper,” one said.The unclassified briefing, delivered to House and Senate aides in a Capitol Visitor Center auditorium, comes amid criticism that the administration did not consult enough with Congress before launching missile strikes on Libyan air defenses over the weekend.Under the War Powers Act, the president is authorized to deploy U.S. forces for up to 48 hours before notifying Congress.

House and Senate leaders, as well as the chairmen and ranking minority members of relevant committees, were briefed on the administration’s plans during a Friday meeting in the Situation Room.

On Monday, the president sent a letter to House Speaker John Boehner R-Ohio and Senate President Pro Tempore Daniel K. Inouye D-Hawaii to fulfill his notification obligation under the War Powers Act.
