Washington (CNSNews.com) – In what the White House calls a push for transparency, a pending executive order would require companies doing business with the federal government to disclose political contributions to independent groups, but would not place the same requirement on public employee unions or federal grant recipients that typically donate to Democrats.

Entitled the “Disclosure of Political Spending By Government Contractors,” the order would implement parts of the DISCLOSE Act, which failed to get through Congress last year. The legislation sought to restrict campaign speech after the landmark Citizens United vs. Federal Elections Commission U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upheld the right of corporations and unions to donate to campaigns.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed Monday that work is underway on the draft order, and linked the move to President Obama’s stated commitment to transparency.

“We fully acknowledge there is a process underway,” he told CNSNews.com. “A draft is just that. It’s a draft until it makes its way through the process. The president is committed to transparency and he certainly thinks American taxpayers should know where their money is going.”

The White House angrily lashed out Monday against renowned evangelical leader the Rev. Franklin Graham for questioning President Obama’s birthplace.

Graham’s sin? The son of the Rev. Billy Graham questioned on ABC’s “This Week” why the president has refused to produce and show a copy of what Graham described as his birth certificate.

Obama, Graham said, “has some issues to deal with” when it comes to his birth certificate.

“It’s unfortunate that a religious leader would use Easter Sunday to make preposterous” statements, White House press secretary Jay Carney responded Monday, according to The Hill.

In 2008 during Obama’s campaign for president, he released a document known as a “Certification of Live Birth.” The document, which is not considered a birth certificate, indicated Obama was born in Hawaii.

But Obama has stubbornly refused to release his full Birth Certificate, detailing such information as the actual location in Hawaii he was born, the time of birth, and the attending physician.

Why is this anti-American usurper being allowed to do what he is doing to America?

(Apr. 25, 2011) — As Obama and his Leninists continue to denigrate and rule over the USA and the American people, the Republican latent-integrity “go along to get along” electees–led by chief lame-pony John Boehner–continue to protect the Usurper-and-Dictator-in-Chief. After pretense upon pretense of shock as to how far the Obama syndicate has already taken the country into ruin, the wimpy “I sold my soul, how about you? And how much did you charge?” crowd of faux GOP-ers continue to vote with and for the tyrant. The bogus budget battle was the strongest clue that the GOP joined the Marxist Party in no longer being in favor of continuing the United States of America as a free and solvent country.

That which was a big disappointment at $38.5 Billions cut in spending turned into a slap in the face when it was realized that the number had been faked and the real ‘cuts’ dropped to $14.7 in discretionary spending, and some reports are that they were barely over $300 millions.

In other words, no one in Congress had any intention of doing any spending cuts at all.

Our gas prices are currently over $4.00/gallon nationally and there is every indication (due to Obama’s intentions) that they will be at between $5-7.00/gallon soon.

The tyrant is, also, still trying to find loopholes in order to saddle us with electric energy prices that “will necessarily skyrocket” as he promised us they would.

Obama is primarily responsible for the Tea Party movement, despite the fact that it is the nemesis of the President and the political establishment.

The movement is predominantly composed of a small number of Libertarians and a large number of Conservatives. The Tea Party Conservatives are formerly Conservative Republicans who have given up the notion of having a moral government and are tired of funding an immoral government.

They are disconnecting from the Republican establishment, which today seems more comfortable managing big government than ultimately reducing it. Herein lies their commonality with Libertarians. The Tea Party is thus at the vertex of this confluence that emphasizes as its central theme the notion that the U.S. must return to a Constitutionally limited federal government.

Obama and his democrat thugs are making every effort to hamstring Republican fund raising efforts. The tools they are using for this purpose only add gasoline to the brightly burning fire of democrat hypocrisy. Obama has signaled that he once again will try to bypass Congress and out of thin air fabricate self-serving government rules to limit Republican fund raising.

The Obama administration is considering a number of measures to compel disclosure of the kind of anonymous campaign contributions that helped finance millions of dollars of attack ads against Democrats during the 2010 elections. The White House last week began circulating a draft executive order that would require companies seeking government contracts to disclose contributions – including those that otherwise would have been secret – to groups that air political ads attacking or supporting candidates.

And here is the comedy gold:

The proposed order follows several actions by regulatory agencies that have a similar intent of making corporate and individual donations more transparent.

“More transparent”

Democrat thugs, led by Chris Van Hollen, are joining in the effort to shut down contributions to Republicans.

WASHINGTON — Unable to stanch the flow of corporate money to Republican causes, Democrats tried a new tack on Thursday by bringing a lawsuit against the Federal Election Commission to force the disclosure of tens of millions of dollars in secret donations. The lawsuit seeks to close “a major loophole” that allows private companies and nonprofit groups to operate “under a veil of anonymity” in raising money for political work, said Representative Chris Van Hollen, a Maryland Democrat who brought the lawsuit along with lawyers for several liberal groups.

In another push for greater disclosure, President Obama is considering issuing an executive order that would require contractors with federal business to report their political donations. “His goal is transparency and accountability,” said the White House spokesman, Jay Carney.

The irony is that Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign set the standard for anonymous sources.

The most recent New York Times/CBS News poll finds that the current crop of Republican presidential hopefuls is suffering from an identity crisis.

This was a national poll and was conducted with a total pool of 1,116 registered voters and 525 registered Republicans. The poll finds that 90% of GOP voters did not know enough the candidates.

For instance, they could not offer opinions on former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, former Utah governor and U.S. ambassador to China Jon Huntsman.

57 percent of Republicans participating could not name a possible challenger to Obama that would make them enthusiastic and motivated to work for the candidate.

When asked which potential Republican candidate for president they like best, only 9 percent selected former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney while former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee received a mere 8 percent.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was viewed the least favorable. Among Republicans polled however, 50 percent view her favorably compared with 26 percent who view her unfavorably.

No one has captured the imagination or enthusiasm of the GOP. The fact is that there is no Tea Party. There is no nationwide organization and no Tea Party candidates.

A lack of leadership has led to people like Donald Trump to make the Republican Party look like a sideshow. Donald Trump is not serious candidate for president of the United States. He is a media master and public relations machine.

The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline hit $3.86 on April 25, more than $1-a-gallon higher than a year earlier and less than 25 cents away from the record high price of gasoline set in July 2008.

In fact, per gallon prices are more than $2 higher than when Obama took office Jan. 20, 2009. Yet the president has been nearly exempt from criticism on the issue of rising prices, despite a six-month drilling moratorium and more regulatory hurdles for industry.

The Business & Media Institute found that out of the 280 oil price stories the network evening shows have aired since the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, only 1 percent (3 stories) mentioned Obama’s drilling ban or other anti-oil actions in connection with gasoline prices.

Arguments in one of the lawsuits challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be President of the United States has finally worked its way through the California court system and will be heard by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on May 2.

“I can’t believe it, but after two years of Obama litigation, for the first time the court of appeals scheduled oral argument in [the] Obama case,” said Orly Taitz, a California attorney who has litigated a number of challenges to Obama.

Obama going after oil speculators while holding fund raisers with the criminals who brought down the financial system.

That was a cute move by President Obama last week, calling out the “oil speculators” with a memo to his Attorney General, Eric Holder. The President proved a few weeks ago, in his energy speech to the nation, he doesn’t understand how these resources are produced and traded. Consequently, the people he addressed remain clueless, but ticked off nonetheless. And the logic of politics now compels Mr. Obama to call out the dogs on… people who make money trading paper claims on oil?

Funny, he didn’t show any interest the past two-plus years in people who make money swindling taxpayers via booby-trapped Collateralized Debt Obligations and Credit Default Swaps. Maybe those things sound too abstruse to get excited about – but believe me, it was a heckuva lot more money. In fact, a case could be mounted by God’s attorney general – if he has one – that Mr. Obama abetted a gigantic conspiracy in fraudulent financial paper which makes the oil speculators look like shoplifters in a Kentucky WalMart.

The price of oil is going to go way up, and way down, and way up again, and way down again until everyone is too broke to ask for any, and companies are too ruined to go get it for them, and governments are too broken to interfere in the process.

The oil speculators are normal characters in a market operating normally, which is to say doing what needs to be done on the margins of “price discovery.” The trouble arises when price discovery occurs in turbulent times and places, for instance, when people in a part of the world called the Middle East & North Africa..More

The same person who promised to bankrupt coal plants and cause electricity prices to “necessarily skyrocket” as a candidate would have us believe that he has nothing to do with Americans paying $4 or more a gallon at the gas pump now that he is President. According to Obama, it’s all a mystery to him.

Last week Obama feigned righteous anger towards “traders and speculators” whom he called responsible for our predicament. He promised to hunt down and prosecute any “manipulation in the oil markets”. In that case I guess Obama should arrest himself since no other individual on the planet is more responsible for rising gas prices than him.

His goal has always been to make energy less affordable. Ever since taking office Obama has worked relentlessly to demonize “dirty” fossil fuels and replace them with prohibitively expensive “green” energy.

On this very date in 2008, when gas prices were 10% LOWER than they are today, Obama visited Indianapolis, and gave a speech PROMISING to lower gas prices, if Elected, and blaming Bush and Cheney for Americans paying $3.55 a gallon, the price on the sign behind him, for it.

Gas prices are running 10% HIGHER now, than they were in 2008.

WHICH OBAMA LIE ARE WE TO BELIEVE?

The one in which he said “Under my plan energy prices must rise.”

Or the one that said in 2008:

Hawaii State Senator Sam Slom said that questioning the president about his birth certificate is legitimate. State Sen. Slom hasn’t seen evidence of an Obama Birth Certificate but says it is possible that the president was born in Hawaii. The problem according to Sen. Slom is what is actually on the president’s documents.

Apparently, there is something on his records so adverse to the presidency that he doesn’t want the American people to see and that has caused him to hide his records including but not limited to; school, college, original passport and Illinois state senator records. (Hear 13:32 audio)

COLUMBUS, Ga. –

Starting at 10 o’clock Friday, two senior non-commissioned officers from Fort Benning will be on courtesy patrol. The soldiers will be wearing arm bands that read, “Courtesy Patrol.”

Fort Benning Commanding General Robert Brown and Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson made the announcement earlier this week.

They need to increase security in Uptown Columbus comes after two weekend incidents in early April

A husband and wife who have a cabin on 100 acres of secluded land in Park County have weaned their property from the electric grid, acquired a three-year food supply and taken other measures to become self-sufficient.

A DAD-of-four who split up a fight in a McDonald’s was shot dead moments after being told he wouldn’t see the morning.

Raymond Mitchell, 34, had only popped into the restaurant to buy a hot chocolate.

But he apparently caused offence after splitting up two men fighting in the queue.

One of them, who had several gold teeth, shouted at Raymond: “You are gonna die tonight, you are not gonna see the morning.”

The thug is then said to have phoned an accomplice to fetch a gun, yelling into his mobile: “Bring me that thing.”

Raymond left the 24-hour McDonald’s but was chased into a cul-de-sac. The gun was then delivered and Mr Mitchell was beaten and pistol-whipped before being shot three times in an alley in Brixton, South London, at 6.50am on Sunday. Raymond, nicknamed Brown, was taken to hospital but died hours later.
