“The California state Senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the pointless gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. Legislators apparently think they alone are worthy to pack heat on the streets for personal protection, and the masses ought to wait until the police arrive.

This is just one of many bills Golden State politicians used this legislative session to set themselves apart from the little people, the ones who pay their inflated salaries. Annual compensation for legislators averages about $140,000, not counting luxurious perks such as taxpayer-funded cars and free gasoline.

By comparison, the average Californian earns $50,000 a year, and the unemployment rate is 11.9 percent – far above the national average. Exact salaries for state assemblymen and senators are obscured by the use of a “per diem” payment scheme that shelters a significant chunk of income from taxation.”

“WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security‘s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).

The nationwide test will occur on Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. eastern standard time and may last up to three and a half minutes.

The EAS is a national alert and warning system established to enable the President of the United States to address the American public during emergencies. NOAA‘s National Weather Service, governors and state and local emergency authorities also use parts of the system to issue more localized emergency alerts.

On November 9, the public will hear a message indicating that ‘This is a test.’ The audio message will be the same for both radio and television

. Under the FCC’s rules, radio and television broadcasters, cable operators, satellite digital audio radio service providers, direct broadcast satellite service providers and wireline video service providers are required to receive and transmit presidential EAS messages to the public. A national test will help the federal partners and EAS participants determine the reliability of the system and its effectiveness in notifying the public of emergencies and potential dangers nationally and regionally.”

Why Was Sarah Herlihy Worrying About Article II?

Contrairimairi has forwarded a post from Insight Analytical concerning Sarah Herlihy’s article that was also discussed in the blog Count us Out. Someone had forwarded Herlihy’s article to me and I blogged it on November 29. Herlihy works for the law firm of Kirkland and Ellis out of their Chicago office. The kicker is that Herlihy’s article was published in the Kent Law review in 2006 and, notes Count us Out Blogger Creative Ogre:

“FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- A Florida judge says red light tickets issued by police officers are unconstitutional because they impose more severe penalties than red light camera citations.

Broward County Judge Fred Berman noted last week police write tickets for $260 when they observe a motorist blowing through a red light while $158 citations are issued to motorists caught by the red light cameras, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.

Berman said the police-issued tickets, which also impose points on driver’s licenses, violate equal protection provisions in the U.S. and Florida constitutions.

The ruling eliminated a ticket issued to a motorist by a Davie police officer.

‘A driver who is observed by an officer committing the violation (in the traditional manner) is subjected to more severe penalties and ramifications than a driver who is fortunate enough to have committed the infraction at a ‘red light camera’ intersection,’ Berman wrote.”

Evidence that we have a fraud and a usurper currently residing in the people’s White House is overwhelming, despite the overt lack of journalistic investigating on the part of the American press. But now new evidence indicates that the conspiracy to carry out that fraud was much broader than originally thought.

The story of whom and what Barack Hussein Obama II really is – is a forty-year story that requires a book, not a column, to tell. Strong evidence suggests that he was being groomed from a very young age for the moment in history that would end American supremacy in the world, and usher in a new era of Global Marxist Governance.

But there was a major hurdle that had to be overcome – the U.S. Constitution, in this case, Article II – Section I – Clause V specifically, which requires that “no person except a natural-born citizen of the United States” can hold the office of President. – Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States…and may not even be a legal citizen of the United States. So, how can he be President?

This column focuses upon the period 2003-2008 and the political maneuvers that took place in order to make way for America’s first unconstitutional resident of the White House.

While I don’t usually comment on a fellow author’s column I thought it appropriate in this case because Blumenfeld brings up several key points that I often hear by my readers in defense of why they stay with the Republican Party.

The most common defense is that ‘third’ parties are unable to raise the money to win elections and winning elections is what politics is all about. That might be good logic for a non-Christian, but isn’t that atheistic logic? Unfortunately there is hardly a one of us who has not been adversely affected in some area of our thinking by our secular humanist culture. We are thinking too much like the world.

Just ask yourself, how often has God worked against evil on the side of the majority or on the side with the most money? Our duty is not to ‘win’ elections. Like with every other aspect of our lives, even at election time, a Christian’s main concern should be to bring glory to God – He will provide the results.”………………..

Last year I wrote an article titled “I’m Fed Up With Constitution Worship!” Since that time it seems, I hear more and more every day about “getting back to the constitution,” mainly from “conservatives” and those of the Tea Party persuasion.

I always wonder not only have any of these people ever read and studied the constitution, but also do they even understand why it was secretly drafted in the first place? All indications show that they aren’t at all familiar with the enabling power of that document to create a strong central governing system that reduced severely the sovereignty of the states.

I have this contrarian view not because I am cynical or pessimistic, but because”……………..
