Operation Gunrunner was funded by the 2009 Stimulus Package

Something about Project Gunrunner (gunwalker, fast and furious) has been bugging me but I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

This morning when I woke up I remember seeing Project Gunrunner in a bill that was discussed here. The original thread about it was a rumor thread that HR45 had been rolled into the stimulus package.

In that thread I scanned the text of H.R.1 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for gun, firearm, etc and came up with a hit.

I posted in the thread: “Only time “gun” or “firearm” appears is in the part that give $10,000,000 to the ATF for Project Gunrunner. That was H.R. 495, asking for 15,000,000 for Gunrunner”.

H.R. 495 that I mentioned never made it out of committee, but it looks as it was to specifically fund Gunrunner.

Instead portions of it were rolled into the stimulus package a month later. That text found in H.R.1 is:

For an additional amount for ‘State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance’, $40,000,000, for competitive grants to provide assistance and equipment to local law enforcement along the Southern border and in High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas to combat criminal narcotics activity stemming from the Southern border, of which $10,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses’ for the ATF Project Gunrunner.

Notice that’s $40,000,000 for Southern border enforcement, $10,000,000 of which specifically for Project Gunrunner. What does $10 million pay for here? It didn’t hire any new agents that I am aware of.

What this tells me is that several congressmen also had knowledge of what Gunrunner was going to entail. This isn’t just the ATF and DOJ. This is all levels and areas of government. Even members of the House and Senate knew what Project Gunrunner was.

Major grocer getting rid of self-checkout lanes (File under: Obama sez ATMs cost jobs?)

One of the nation’s major grocery store chains is eliminating self-checkout lanes in an effort to encourage more human contact with its customers.

Albertsons LLC, which operates 217 stores in seven Western and Southern states, will eliminate all self-checkout lanes in the 100 stores that have them and will replace them with standard or express lanes, according to published reports.

“We just want the opportunity to talk to customers more,” Albertsons spokeswoman Christine Wilcox said. “That’s the driving motivation.”

Wilcox said the replacement of automated checkout lanes with human-operated lanes likely would mean more hours available for employees to work.

The move marks a surprising step back from a trend that began about a decade ago, when supermarkets began installing self-checkout lanes, touting them as a solution to long lines. Now some grocery chains are questioning whether they are really good for business.

Kroger, the largest grocery chain in the U.S. (with some 2,500 outlets), is experimenting with removing all self-checkouts in at least one Texas store, reports StorefrontBacktalk, an industry publication. Publix, another major chain, is “on the fence” about self-checkout, according to a report quoted in the story.

Self-checkout industry leader NCR Corp., which counts Albertsons among its clients, does not see the grocery chain’s move as a threat to its business, said company spokesman Cameron Smith.

He said more than 150 retailers in 22 countries use the company’s self-checkout lanes, and not just for groceries. The market is projected to grow by about 15 percent annually, he said.

The Obama administration is in the process of preparing gun safety measures, just six months after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot. The proposal is expected to anger both gun advocates and gun opponents, the latter of whom will likely assert that the measures are not bold enough.

The White House has been unspecific about the details, but according to White House spokesman Jay Carney (left), the new safety rules will be made public “in the near future.”

The Blaze explains, “What is proposed is not expected to involve legislation or take on major issues, like banning assault weapons, but could include executive action to strengthen the background check system or other steps.”

GOP Must Not Accept the Premise That Congress Has to Hike Taxes

But this is not a budget negotiation. This is the thing. Obama wants to pretend, and he wants a big deal now, $4 trillion in cuts over 12 years. Isn’t that a joke? Cuts in 12 years, revenue increases immediately. That’s what they did to George H. W. Bush, Dick Darman fell for the trick that was put forth by George Mitchell. You know, H. W. Bush, “Read my lips: no new taxes.” Darman, there was a deficit problem back then, there’s always a deficit problem. Dick Darman was one of Bush 41′s big aides and they were all caught up here as they got into reelection mode, gotta do something about the deficit, so Mitchell came along and basically said, “Look, here’s a deal, we’ll give you some spending cuts, but you gotta cut taxes first.” Okay, okay. And they cut the taxes, but there were never any spending cuts. The same thing happened to Reagan. This is why we think our guys don’t know the traps.

The same thing happened to Reagan. Reagan was promised in TEFRA, which was at the time the largest tax increase in American history, it was 1980-something, he was promised two dollars of spending cuts for every new dollar in tax increases. Spending cuts never happened. They never do. Obama’s promising the same thing. These are right out of the old Democrat playbook. It’s that old. We’ve been here and done that. They pulled it on Reagan in his second term. They pulled it on Bush 41 who broke his no-tax pledge. Bush 41 fell for it and was voted out of office. We know how this works. Bastards of Entitlement: Flash Mob Attacks on the Rise

The cracks in the dam are visible.

Yet the media conspire to keep it invisible.

Tune in to the three major networks or CNN and you will see (in between their coordinated personal attacks on whichever conservative candidate is currently capturing attention) mob attacks in Greece, mob attacks in Yemen, mob attacks in Libya.

What you won’t see is coverage of the ‘Flash Mob‘ attacks happening in our own country, in Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami and Washington DC.

Could You Be Next?

Rhetorical question, that.

The homegrown mobs tell the story the dinosaur-media, the products of liberalized institutional education, wish to conceal – the unavoidable consequences of social programs designed not to solve problems but to build a base of voters dependent on Democratic politicians.

Witness the collapse of the dream that was The Great Society.

The goal of Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society was to end poverty in fifty years time. The mission was noble in intent, but was quickly bastardized as the party of the Jackass’ colluded to exploit it into a personal get rich-and-powerful (and stay that way) scheme.

And now the myth of the viability of a one parent household, along with the Democrat’s profferred notion that a welfare check is as admirable as a paycheck, has led us to this critical point in our nation’s history. Mobs of inner city youths, predominantly black, have taken to using social media to coordinate violent attacks on an unsuspecting public of ALL races, and if old media has its way the public will remain unsuspecting.

Yes, black.

They’ve already occurred in Atlanta, Kansas City, Boston, Nashville, Charlotte, St. Paul, Minnesota, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Columbia, South Carolina, and even in Iowa on what was called “beat whitey night.”

Attempting to mask this reality through disingenuous political correctness does not make the truth any prettier, though this will not prevent our deceitful media from trying their damndest.

This is not a racial issue. Fear of being called racist by the real racists cannot be allowed to foster silence and inactivity. Beware the accusers for often they are guilty of what they accuse others. Never is this more in evidence than when liberals in Washington and the media shout cries of racist at others.

LBJ was wrong. His Great Society’s War on Poverty and the enabling government programs it gave birth to have served only to ensure the battle will rage in perpetuity.

Benjamin Franklin was right. “I observed that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves.”

The Democrats seized on Franklin’s concept and perverted it as means to their own end, enacting deviously designed social entitlement programs not to give aid to those in need but to provide job security to the liberal overseers. The modern day plantation owner does not give orders, he gives stump speeches. Liberal politicians substitute dependency for chains. They count on the very group they pretend to protect to be ignorant, to not see they are being used to pick candidates instead of cotton. The by-product of this devolvement is the urban mob of today.

The Have-nots have declared war on the Haves.

It is only natural – the culture of dependency digresses to the culture of entitlement, which in turn caves to the culture of decadence.

The cracks are visible.

Will we, as a nation, repair them, or ignore them until the dam bursts at the seams and we’re left with roadside Apocalypse?

Franklin also said, “When people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.” He was right, again. The people have found it, within the vote for the Democratic Party, the party that desires to utilize social justice and entitlement programs to propagate a society of poor people, their own personal flock of sheep.

But the sheep have turned wolf.

And the Republic suffers for it . . .

Constitutionalists Plan for Birther Summit

Paradigm Shifter: Remember, these are some of the people the Department of Homeland Security has been warning certain law enforcement officials about (along with military veterans, pro-lifers, people who show the Gadsden flag, and Sovereign Americans who speak out about our Popular and National Sovereignty). One of them, Walter Fitzpatrick, has already been jailed on trumped up charges, and only after months, released. Another, Theresa Cao, has faced prosecution for public demonstration of the kind from which Code Pink and others skate.

These are the people who somehow seem to make Barack Obama nervous, as big money is spent on his eligibility defense, while his astroturfers attempt to ridicule and persecute. The Birth/Death Adjustment Was Responsible For Over 50% Of The Payroll Gains In The Past Yr

Every time someone brings up the backing out of the birth death adjustment from the Non-Farm Payrolls number (which 99% of the time are additive), economists get all defensive and say you can’t really use that number because it is akin to comparing apples to oranges, it is only applicable for the Non-Seasonally Adjusted NFP data (while the numbers that make the headlines are the seasonally adjusted ones) which of course means that the conversion from the NSA to SA number is a product of a multivariate equation with two unknowns (the B/D adjustment and the actual seasonal adjustment). Of course, this is just how the BLS likes it: after all this gives them plausible deniability to blame either X or Y or a combination thereof, but never disclose just what is the culprit for any specific discrepancy. So what does the BLS tell us to do when attempting to eliminate the B/D benefit? Simple: add or subtract the B/D adjustment from the Non-Seasonally Adjusted number. Yet when doing it on a quantized, monthly basis this is impossible due to the abovementioned layering of the seasonal adjustment.

La Raza Group Teams Up With Feds To Push Govt. Aid In Spanish

President Obama’s favorite La Raza group has teamed up with a federal agency to promote one of the administration’s many government cash giveaways with Spanish ads encouraging Latinos—possibly illegal immigrants—to apply for free U.S. taxpayer dollars.

The new campaign warns Hispanics that time is running out to get up to “$50,000 in help” from Uncle Sam to pay their mortgage, past due charges, taxes, insurance and even legal fees associated with their home. The money is being disbursed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of a billion-dollar Emergency Homeowner Loan Program (EHLP).

Internet providers to act against online pirates

Consumers who illegally download copyrighted films, music or television shows might see their Internet speed slowed or access restricted under an industry anti-piracy effort announced on Thursday.

U.S. Internet service providers, including Verizon Communications Inc, Comcast Corp, Time Warner Cable Inc, Cablevision Systems Corp and AT&T Inc agreed to alert customers, up to six times, when it appears their account is used for illegal downloading. Warnings will come as e-mails or pop-up messages.

I have a handful of good friends in Knoxville who know the truth of what is happening and the depth of the betrayal by our politicians and representatives. Throughout the country I have many other friends that also are aware of the vast conspiracy to destroy the greatest nation on earth and her people.

These friends know that both the right and left have been in bed together with the same agenda for decades. When you’ve found that those that claim they’re on our side are actually working with the enemy, why would one want to keep them?

In 1966, Carroll Quigley wrote Tragedy and Hope. He was a professor in the History Department at Georgetown University and Bill Clinton’s mentor. He wrote on page 1247 of his book, and I’ll quote, “The chief problem of American political life for a long time has been how to make the two Congressional parties more national and international. The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. The policies that are vital and necessary for America are no longer subjects of significant disagreement, but are disputable only in details of procedure, priority, or method …..Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will be none of these things but WILL STILL PURSUE, with new vigor, approximately the SAME BASIC POLICIES.”

Trashing the Constitution: The Living Document Con

Is constitutionalism akin to blind faith? Some statists certainly think so, as they have called the position “constitution-worship.” In light of this, what should we call those who lack that “faith”? Given that they don’t believe in the Constitution, and that the document is the supreme law of the land, can it be said that they don’t believe in law? Are these people, who are often atheists, also “alegalists”?

Whatever you call them, they’re more visible and brazen than ever. Writing in Time magazine recently, Richard Stengel insisted that our Constitution “must accommodate each new generation and circumstance.” Georgetown professor Michael Dyson said recently, “When I talk about the document being living and vital, I’m talking about the interpretation of it.” And these appeals are buttressed by the notion that our founding document is fatally flawed. For example, Harvard Law School professor Michael Klarman wrote, “For the most part, the Constitution is irrelevant to the current political design of our nation.” And CNN’s Fareed Zakaria recently opined, “The United States Constitution was … drafted in a cramped room in Philadelphia in 1787 with shades drawn over the windows” — which, presumably, is worse than an idea coming out of his cramped head.

Of course, it sounds oh-so sophisticated to speak of a “living, breathing document.” But if someone is trying to sell us on the idea that our national rulebook shouldn’t matter, we should ask two questions: Who benefits from ignoring the rules? And what is the alternative to following them?

The best way to answer the first question is to apply the relevant concepts to something everyone will understand.

At Lexington and Concord, the American militia was able to stand their ground against oppression because they stockpiled weapons and ammunition, created an effective local intelligence network and had the support of the populace. Those are the fundamentals of a classical insurgency.

In 1964, no one framed the choice better than Ronald Reagan:

“Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.”

But that was another era. Sadly for our country, Reagan greatly underestimated the corruption, the inexhaustible greed and the endless lust for power of future politicians.

We have an occupant of the White House, who is ineligible to be President, who has likely forged or been complicit in the forgery of official documents and who may be using a stolen Social Security Number.

There is ever increasing evidence of widespread press self-censorship and the altering of online documents to misinform and manipulate the American people in order to protect Barack Obama.

We have a rogue and dangerous Executive Branch and members of Congress who have violated their oaths of office and abdicated their responsibility to support and defend the Constitution and uphold the rule of law.

They are now all co-conspirators attempting to achieve absolute power and corrupt the government absolutely, all of which will eventually lead to the destruction of our republic.

Michael Barone calls it “Gangster Government”, where, in the Chrysler bailout, the Obama administration forced bondholders to accept 33 cents on the dollar on secured debts while giving United Auto Worker (UAW) retirees 50 cents on the dollar on unsecured debts.

That was a clear violation

The source reporting Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s Tampa Field Division Virginia O’Brien “ran a gun-running investigation that was walking guns to Honduras using the techniques and tactics identical to Fast and Furious” contacted these correspondents again this evening with this follow-up report:

O’Brien is in full meltdown. She ordered supervisors from around the Division to report immediately to division offices and to plan on working through the entire weekend on the coverup.

Her partner in the bungle was ASAC Scott McCampbell. At one point the case was ready to be wrapped up with arrests and remain relatively efficient but O’Brien and McCampbell decided on their own to keep it going to “get more” against the advise of thier field employees and the walked guns numbers got out of control.

OB is terrified that her intentional concealing of her walked guns is going to do her in since she disregarded orders to report to DOJ and Congress.

Nearly the same culprits above her are on the hook for this. Chait knew about it so did Hoover and Melson. The new player is DAD East Julie Torres. She took O’Brien’s old DAD job when OB went to Tampa and has given OB carte blanche to do whatever she wants with little oversight.

Reportedly the shredders are buzzing.

First we should consider what it means that the Whore sits on the beast. Walid Shoebat reasons by interpreting mountains as nations / empires and not as hills, the seventh beast empire was Islamic ending with the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1922AD. Revelation 13 claims that the “head” will be revived. That is, the Islamic empire will be rejuvenated coming from the same persecuting empires that preceded it, but NOT including Rome.
