You Can’t Get Good Government From a Corrupt Society!| The Post & Email:

“If you want to know who is going to fix this country, find a mirror. Not every American is indecent. But the decent people have been bullied into sitting down and shutting up. They stand and speak up now, or they are part of the problem.

Only those willing to fight for freedom deserve freedom! There is no more time for pretenders and patriot profiteers only concerned with gaining a seat at the table of corruption and destruction. The time for a real tea party has arrived and I’m not talking about the next caflatte rally full of empty feel-good campaign slogans aimed at benefiting the Republican Party instead of the Constitutional Republic.

Good government can only come from decent people. The indecent people must go! Only the decent people can get rid of them!

“Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, or by a power without them; either by the Word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet.” – Robert Winthrop”

America’s Fork In The Road (debt ceiling options and consequences) (WHO WILL BLINK?)

July 10, 2011 1 comment

The only question is: who will blink?

Obama? The majority of Americans can’t imagine Obama really wants to hurt the US still more. If he doesn’t accept severe cuts in government spending, and the projected economic disaster hits, the dollar devalues fast, most believe his reelection chances are zero. But on the other hand, a majority of the Americans is now convinced Obama made the economic situation of the US much worse during his two and a half years in office. Everything he touches becomes a mess. Since most also believe Obama is an intelligent man, the question is raised why he continues his disastrous policies. Is he able to learn from his mistakes, or does he have malicious ambitions?

The Republicans? Do they squander the unique chance in history they have here to force Obama into meaningful spending cuts? If they do, then the role of the Tea party in 2010 was only boring foreplay for what will happen during the elections of 2012. Republicans, who go along with a raise of the debt ceiling, without real spending cuts, or with new taxes, will find a Tea Party candidate opposing them in the primaries, and will be defeated in the election. On the other hand, Republicans are known to love showing their sense for responsibility. They will avoid an economic disaster. Republicans believe the opponent is rational and trustworthy. But, is he really?

My prediction

At the last possible moment, end of July, Obama appears on TV to state his will to cut spending with trillions without raising taxes. The debt ceiling is raised, which allows Obama to continue his wasteful spending to well after the 2012 elections. He’ll present himself as the savior of all humankind.

The Republicans think they won, but after the summer recess it becomes clear Obama isn’t cutting any spending at all. Circumstances in the world, for example, the break-up of the EURO zone, the collapse of the Chinese economy, the fall of the Dow Jones with over 2,000 points in a week, or whatever, give Obama the excuse to print and spend more money. The Republicans understand too late, Obama deceived them again. Just as he did at the end of 2010, when the Republicans went along with Obama’s deal not to raise taxes and a cut in spending of a meager 40 billion dollars. Not even a week after the deal was voted, the real spending cuts were calculated as only about 300 million dollars!

“We the People,” Revoke the Delegated Authority!

Dear Sheriff Hutchens,

It is with a heavy heart I write you today. I am greatly disturbed by the recent turn of events where Mr. Obama, acting upon his own, without any known provocation and without consulting or seeking the approval of Congress, launched an unlawful and unconstitutional invasion against the country of Libya. In the weeks that have followed, from what I can determine, no one as yet has a clear understanding of the reasons behind this action.

After I reviewed the following address to Congress by Congressman Tom McClintock, earlier yesterday morning I was compelled to contact you and alert you to this dangerous situation. I urge you to take a few moments from your busy schedule to also review this important statement.

I see the irresponsible and unrestrained actions initiated by Mr. Obama as an escalation of his further abuse of power and in direct violation of the Constitution. His unilateral decision to embroil our nation in what I can only view as an undeclared illegal war poses a clear and present danger to our national security and sovereignty.

Since Mr. Obama is openly defying Congress, his actions constitute what I can only describe as high crimes and misdemeanors and treason against the citizens of the United States.

Sheriff…as I see it…our federal government is at war!

Not just with Libya…But with the people of the United States as well!

Conversations With a Clover…. by Eric Peters

Conversations With a Clover…. by Eric Peters:

“In honor of July 4 – the lingering spirit of it, if not the actuality – I decided to publish a “letter to Clover” as a way to show how anti-freedom people think. Maybe “think” is not the exactly right term to use to describe the mental processes of a Clover.

It’s more a combination of primitive emoting and intellectual incapacity – in particular, an incapacity to think in terms of concepts and principles. The Clover sees something he doesn’t like, and reflexively emotes: “There ought to be a law!” He does not grasp the broader implications of “the law” he wants to see enacted – or he just doesn’t care, because he believes it will further some greater good – as he defines it. Dissecting the Cloverite Mentality is interesting in terms of understanding just what pro-freedom people are up against.

The “letter” that follows was written in response to this missive I received from a Clover in response to my column criticizing random roadblocks:”

Obama’s Plan for $10 Gas

Obama’s Plan for $10 Gas
American Thinker ^ | July 8, 2011 | Jeffrey Folks

American drivers are angry at having to pay $4 a gallon for gas, and understandably so.  Their anger is often directed at the oil companies that supply the gas.  It should be directed at Barack Obama instead.

From the beginning of his appearance on the national stage, Obama has focused on the goal of driving up energy prices with the idea of “weaning” America off fossil fuels.  He has succeeded in driving up prices, all right, but not in reducing dependence on fossil fuels.  According to “The Outlook for Energy 2011,” fossil fuels now supply 80% of global demand.  That percentage will remain unchanged through 2030 despite hundreds of billions in subsidies squandered on wind and solar.

Nor has Obama succeeded in reducing our dependence on foreign sources of oil.  According to the American Petroleum Institute imports now amount to some 11 million barrels per day or 56% of deliveries.  That compares with 35% in 1973 and 42% in 1990.  Despite imposition of strict mileage standards and the burden of higher prices on the consumer, the level of imports has not declined significantly under President Obama.

In fact, Obama’s energy policies have created the worst of all possible worlds for American consumers: higher prices and continued dependency on imported oil.
