I talked to many Marines that spoke of huge Jaanese and these were usually referred to Manchurian Marines. Can’t say for sure but I seem to remember that some of the conversations were about Tarawa defenders but surely there were scattered units.

They were generally seaking of the height. Hope this helps.

Why is the American media so intent on ignoring congressman Ron Paul and his prickly libertarian views?

Paul is running for president in the Republican primaries, and it’s plain that the handmaidens of the political establishment — Democrats as well as Republicans — are freezing him out.

He came within a few votes of winning last week’s Iowa straw poll, just 152 votes short among almost 17,000 cast..

Which raises several questions: Could Barack Obama be planning to pull a Lyndon Johnson and say he will not run nor will he accept nomination for another term?

Could he tell the nation that he has accomplished what he wanted to accomplish in passing his Health Care program and now wants to step down to do other things? Could he be planning an honorable exit rather than face defeat in November 2012?

 

Could his approval numbers be so low that he has become unelectable and toxic for the entire Democratic slate? Is there a move afoot to have him step down and name a new Presidential candidate?

These are reasonable questions in light of the recent – and well-planned –comments of Obama not needing a second term.
