Chuck Baldwin — Enemy Within The Gates

Chuck Baldwin — Enemy Within The Gates

Chuck Baldwin — Enemy Within The Gates:

I remind you that during our War for Independence, the colonial army had far more to fear from Benedict Arnold than it did from King George! And so it is today. The enemy at the gates at least looks like the enemy.

It dresses like the enemy; it talks like the enemy; it acts like the enemy. But the enemy within the gates looks like a friend. It dresses like a friend; it talks like a friend; it acts like a friend. But it is still the enemy!

The enemies of freedom are ubiquitous today. They are in our State legislatures; they sit on the benches of our judiciary; they teach in our colleges and universities; they preach in our pulpits; they teach in our Sunday School classrooms; they sit across our dining room tables; they even sleep in our own beds!…………………….

ARE AMERICANS UNABLE TO HANDLE THE TRUTH?

by One Pissed-off Vietnam Vet

Has the United Nations supplanted U.S. sovereignty in plain view?

(Sep. 13, 2011) — Ever notice how “one-sided” one side is? I was thinking about the flash mob outside the fair in Milwaukee and remembering not seeing the words “prejudice,” or “bigotry,” or, for that matter, “hate crime” in any of the reports. And then the Muslims colonizing this country and building weapon storage facilities – oh, pretend sorry, mosques – and everyone with half a brain should be offended by: 1) Muslims being within our borders, 2) the nerve of them thinking they’ll be allowed to store their weapons in our neighborhoods, 3) our morally corrupt politicians even considering such an outrageous proposal, 4) planning and zoning boards approving such a permit, and 5) really dumb Americans taking part in the remodeling and constructing of mosques (hey, I know times are tough, but you don’t pass the bullets to the person who is going to shoot you, now do you?).

And here’s another one: where does the U.N. get off telling us what we can and cannot do? For the U.N. to attempt to come across as a group of like-minded people striving for improving the world is long past, if it ever was in the first place. We’re keeping our guns, and anyone who thinks different isn’t thinking, “Hello, Hillary.” I’d like to see the United States say “Good riddance,” once and for all, to the U.N., and kick the organization out of this country. My last words to them would be to “take a hike.”

The latest offense to me is the low caliber of the wannabe presidential candidates. The one from Texas isn’t anywhere near on-board with fighting Islam, and the others are wasting everyone’s time about “health care” and “gay marriages” and “global warming, or not.” The truth is that Western Civilization is in a fight to the death with Islam, and EVERYTHING else doesn’t mean squat if you, your family, your neighbors and your fellow citizens far and wide are all D-E-A-D………………….

Ron Paul’s View On Foreign Occupations Supported By US Troops

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

The establishment media is once again attempting to smear Ron Paul as anti-American following Paul’s simple observation during the debate last night that foreign occupations increase the risk of terrorist attacks, when in reality the Texan Congressman’s views are endorsed by US military personnel more than any other Republican candidate.

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

“Republican Presidential Candidate Rep. Ron Paul was booed at last night’s CNN/Tea Party debate while explaining his view on why America was attacked on September 11, 2001,” reports ABC News.

The corporate media instantly seized on the boos, made by a gaggle of neo-con “Tea Party” members, as a tool through which to portray Paul as un-American, with one acerbic headline even asking whether the Congressman was defending Al-Qaeda.

It’s a common smear to equate not supporting foreign occupations as  anti-American or against conservative principles, despite the fact that the founding fathers consistently warned against becoming involved in foreign entanglements.

But like a lot of the myths circulated by the establishment about Ron Paul, reality reflects a very different picture.

Given the fact that Ron Paul has received more money in donations from active duty military personnel than all of the other Republican candidates combined and more than Barack Obama himself, his views on foreign occupations are supported by the very U.S. troops that neo-cons constantly invoke to support maintaining such foreign occupations.

Paul’s contention that the troops should be brought home from Afghanistan and Iraq, and that US bases around the world should be closed, is supported by those very same troops.

“Paul’s campaign told Politifact that Paul raised $34,480 from people in the military, compared with $19,849 for Obama and $13,848 for the other GOP presidential candidates,” reports USA Today.

“The Center for Responsive Politics says $11,350 of Paul’s military donations come from people who work for the Army. In the 2008 campaign, the center found that individuals employed by the Army, Navy and Air Force were Paul’s top three sources of campaign donations.”

But it’s not just military service people who are growing tired of America’s unaffordable foreign empire. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, conservatives in general are losing their appetite for war…………

Obama Uncle May Be Granted “Refugee” Status

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

President Obama’s half-uncle, Onyango Obama, an illegal immigrant recently arrested for drunk driving in Massachusetts, will apparently not face deportation. Like the President’s illegal immigrant aunt, Zeituni Polly Onyango, he will be granted asylum as a “political refugee.”

“Let’s face it, Kenya is a hell-hole unfit for normal human beings,” said U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. “It would be inhumane for us to forcibly send him back to such an awful place.”

Napolitano denied that Onyango’s relationship to the President played any role in the decision. “If I may remind everyone, the President has declared that illegal immigrants from Mexico don’t have to go back,” the Secretary said. “And Mexico isn’t nearly as bad as Kenya is. So, it should be obvious that nepotistic favoritism was not the decisive factor in this case.”

Andrew Sullivan: I Fear a Civil War if These Christianists Beat Obama, or Something!

Andrew Sullivan: I Fear a Civil War if These Christianists Beat Obama, or Something!:

This from the scribe who’s devoted an inordinate amount of time over the last three years to indulging a bizarre conspiratorial obsession with Sarah Palin‘s uterus. His new admonition: Be careful what you wish for, wingnuts — an Obama loss in 2012 could trigger a neo Civil War. Scary, right? We’ll tackle this conclusion in a moment, but first, Sully sets the table with some (now familiar) anti-religious sociological psychobabble:

“…The GOP, deep down, is behaving as a religious movement, not as a political party, and a radical religious movement at that. Lofgren sees the “Prosperity Gospel” as a divine blessing for personal enrichment and minimal taxation (yes, that kind of Gospel is compatible with Rand, just not compatible with the actual Gospels); for military power (with a major emphasis on the punitive, interventionist God of the Old Testament); and for radical change and contempt for existing institutions (as a product of End-Times thinking, intensified after 9/11).”

Heavy stuff. Next….

Massive default is best way to fix the economy:

You want to fix this economic crisis? You want to put people back to work?

There’s a way to do it. But you’re not going to like it.

The fastest way to fix this mess is to see tens of millions of homeowners default on their mortgages, and millions more file for bankruptcy………………………………

The Strange Politics Of The US 2012 Election

September 13, 2011 1 comment

When was it that the most extremely disturbed inmates seized control of the madhouse known as the American political system? We know they are wielding decisive influence within the two-party structure by their destructive antics in Washington and various state capitals, but when and how did this happen?

Some contend that the takeover was accomplished last January, when the new Republican House majority assumed office. Granted that the intransigent buffoonery of the right/far right party is a substantial factor, but it by no means is the only factor, as the Democrats suggest.

The Tea Party (TP) phenomenon is a symptom of one of the more bizarre political moments in American history between the odd couple that constitutes the two-party system, not the principal causative agent. It is a new formation but composed of the old hard core right wing and religious right reinvigorated with conservative populism, anti-government libertarianism, garnished with an element of racism in response to a non-white chief executive, and performing the political equivalent of wilding in the streets.

The larger Republican Party and its leadership may not be as fanatical but is going along with the far right because it’s producing positive practical gains for conservative ideology and programs, and seems to have tied the bewildered and misled Democrats into impotent knots. The big danger for the GOP is going so far to the right that it gets trounced in the 2012 elections, which is what the White House is counting on.

Others maintain seizing the asylum was facilitated when………………

Cultural Jihad Threatens Free Speech

September 13, 2011 1 comment

There is nothing that strikes deeper at the heart of the American experiment than a test of our liberties — the right to free speech, and the right of religious freedom. It was because of these liberties that Islamist terror struck on September 11th, 2011, costing thousands of lives and bringing the realities of the world a bit closer to home.

10 years later, the Islamist threat remains.

Yet the tactics have changed. Rather than planes, Islamists use mosques as nerve centers for resistance. Rather than terrorists, Islamists use imams and lawyers to drive the point home. Rather than bombs, Islamists use deceit and deception to say one thing while the realities on the ground are far different.

Take for instance Imam Feisal Rauf, the presumed leader of the Islamist faction in the United States. At a March 2011 panel at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. it was Rauf who opened up a direct attack on America’s foundational constitutional protections and rights. Rather than allowing Islam to be engaged in the public square critically, Rauf considers any criticism of Islam as “libel” — a hate crime.

When I watched this in the audience, I sat there outraged. I could see the writing on the wall.

Now we know the brazen truth. Rauf opened the Islamist playbook and removed any doubts about the true nature of the Islamist agenda. In short, while keeping up an ecumenical front, Rauf and other Islamists intend to openly use American laws to crush dissent, demanding our laws silence any criticism, concerns, or questions about the Islamist threat.

The list doesn’t stop there. The so-called Cordoba Mosque at Ground Zero? Keep in mind that the Moors, when they conquered Cordoba in the 7th century, converted the Christian cathedral into an Islamic “victory” mosque. For Islamists to spike the football in New York City at Ground Zero with a victory mosque of their own is outrageous enough.

But to be condemned as inciting “hate crimes” by questioning the prudence of such a move? Westerners may consider this to be offensive. Islamists have another term for such a struggle: jihad.

This jihad is being waged on multiple fronts, whether it is in chicken processing plants in Tennessee or in “no go” zones in Dearborn, Michigan. This jihad is cultural, legal, spiritual, and as we saw 10 years ago on September 11th, 2001 — manifests itself in violence.

America is not the first nation to be confronted with the Islamist threat. Ironically, it was Thomas Jefferson who inaugurated the first pre-emptive war against Islamist terror, then in the form of the Barbary Pirates. “Millions for defense, but not one penny for tribute” was our battle cry then. With a firm reliance upon God, we should be willing to meet the forces of Islamist terror fearlessly, and without shame.

In a way, commercials can tell you more about how we’ve changed than history books. The other day I came across the above 1960s TV commercial on YouTube; it’s for a toy set called the “Gung Ho Commando Outfit” by Marx. And it’s a perfect snapshot of the America that, sadly, no longer exists.

Despite this fact, watching it is hilarious. It is unabashedly politically incorrect, featuring a group of young boys running around playing war games, all decked out in the most authentic military gear a 10-year-old could imagine. It’s enough to make any suburban soccer mom’s head explode.

Every toy gun in the commercial looks (gasp!) realistic; there are no sissified colors, no orange plastic piece at the end of the barrel. Yet, in the times that it aired, you never heard of a child being shot after pointing one of these toy weapons at a policeman. You see, even when I was a boy in the 1970s, we were taught enough respect for elders to understand that a certain necessary wall existed between adults and children. You would never take the liberty of “playing” with an adult stranger in the street, whether he sported a badge or not. It never even entered our minds. As for policemen, they could assume that a child wouldn’t target them with a real gun. And it was a safe assumption……………..

The Wages of Terror

September 13, 2011 1 comment

When Obama set off to visit the victims of Hurricane Irene, instead of visiting the American victims who had lost their homes and possessions—he headed off to Patterson, New Jersey. Patterson is known as ‘Patterstine’ for a reason, it’s home to the second largest Arab community after Dearborn, and while most of its residents are not yet Muslims, concentrating his visit there sends a message. And it’s the same message that has been sent over and over again. Muslims come first.

Obama’s decision to shut down the space program by terminating the shuttle and its replacement vehicle, combined with the loss of the Russian space freighter, means that the International Space Station may have to be abandoned. But as Obama’s new NASA administrator Charles Bolden said, the new priority is Muslim outreach.

We may not have a space program anymore, but NASA has partnered with Saudi Arabia on “lunar and asteroid science research”. The good news is that the Saudis can afford to buy us a new shuttle, so long as we don’t let any women drive it.

And did you know that the National Park Service has an Office of International Affairs? Why does it need an office of international affairs? So it can fund mosques globally through UNESCO. The Obama Administration has eliminated the Park Service’s ‘Save America’s Treasures” program, but there’s always money for Islam. While the old outdated jingoistic NPS was concerned with the United States, the new NPS gives money to the Medina of Tunis, an adjacent Islamic school and a Muslim pilgrimage site in Turkmenistan.

It doesn’t matter anymore if it’s flood victims, outer space or national parks—it’s all about Muslims.

Devoid of reality (Obama policies often accomplish the opposite of their intended effects)

September 13, 2011 1 comment

President Obama’s speech this past week should have been labeled, “Believe what I say, not what I do.” All too much of the speech was devoid of reality. At one point he said, “And I agree there are some rules and regulations that put an unnecessary burden on businesses at a time when they can least afford it. That’s why I ordered a review of all government regulations. So far, we’ve identified over 500 reforms, which will save billions of dollars over the next few years.”

The reality is far different. There are thousands of new regulations that have either been implemented or are under consideration that have’nt been subject to meaningful or rigorous cost-benefit analyses.

Obama may have ordered the folks in his administration to do real cost-benefit analyses, but the fact is that those who are in charge of actually doing them frequently fail to do so. On Thursday, Nancy A. Nord, a commissioner and former chairman of U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), wrote a letter to Cass R. Sunstein, Mr. Obama’s regulatory czar, in which, referring to the current chairman of the CPSC, she said, “While the chairman’s letter would have you believe that we are enthusiastically implementing the president’s executive order, such is not the case. With a proper analysis, this agency can construct rules that advance safety without undue economic impacts and without delay. That result requires efforts on our part but unfortunately, the majority here has shown no interest in making those efforts.”

It is not just the CPSC that is failing to do proper cost-benefit analysis and issue regulations in a clear and understandable way – this is equally true of the banking, health care, environmental and energy regulators. Millions of Americans are without jobs solely because of regulatory incompetence or worse.

College May Be Dangerous for Men

September 13, 2011 Leave a comment

College is a dangerous place for men. They are not only a minority, but they are victimized by discriminatory and unconstitutional anti-male rules.

In another striking proof that the Obama administration is totally manipulated by feminists, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights sent out a 19-page “DCL” (Dear Colleague Letter) to colleges and universities that should make men fear attending college at all. The letter adopts the feminist theory that in all sexual controversies or accusations, the man is guilty unless he proves himself innocent.

This DCL carries the force of law, since it purports to be an additional implementation of Title IX, the 1972 federal law that bans sex discrimination in educational institutions that receive federal assistance. But the DCL was never legislated by Congress, and it was not even launched as a regulation that requires posting for comment in the Federal Register.

The DCL is just a federal order, issued by a feminist bureaucrat named Russlynn Ali, which colleges and universities must obey under threat of losing their funding. Colleges have dutifully fallen in line by spelling it out in their fall orientations under the rubric of making campuses friendly to women and requiring sensitivity about offensive words and ideas.

The most unconstitutional part of Ali’s impertinent DCL is that it orders colleges to reject use of the criminal justice standard of proof. The DCL rules that an accused man doesn’t have to be judged guilty “beyond a reasonable doubt,” or even the intermediate standard of “clear and convincing” proof.

Instead, Ms. Ali instructs colleges that they must judge an accused man based on “a preponderance of the evidence” standard. That means the campus disciplinary board (which may include feminist faculty from the Women’s Studies Department) only has to believe that the female accuser is 51 percent likely to be truthful and accurate.

Furthermore, the DCL “strongly discourages” colleges from permitting an accused man “to question or cross-examine the accuser” during the hearing. And appeals must be available to both parties, which subjects the guy to double jeopardy.

The punishment of a man convicted under these DCL rules will far exceed what the campus disciplinary committee may hand out. He will likely be expelled, barred from graduate or professional school and some government jobs, suffer irreparable damage to his reputation, and possibly be exposed to criminal prosecution.

The feminist apparatus is constantly grinding out phony statistics about sexual assault and harassment, accusations that men are naturally batterers, and that women never lie or make errors in sexual allegations. The feminists are unrepentant about the way they and the prosecutors (toadying to the feminists) accepted and publicized lies that destroyed the reputations of the Duke lacrosse men and of Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Another monster that hangs over the heads of college students is the increasing evidence that college is a bad financial investment that will saddle students with debt they can never escape. Pro-college ads from organizations like How To E-D-U and KnowHow2Go are seductive: “College graduates can make a million dollars more in their lifetimes than those who don’t go to college.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, BLS, 17 million college-educated Americans are now working jobs for which they are overqualified. The BLS reports that hundreds of thousands of college graduates are working as waiters, secretaries, receptionists, laborers or janitors, all respectable occupations but not jobs that will enable them to repay their five- or even six-digit college loans.

The current student loan debt, now $830 billion, is bigger than credit-card debt and growing at the rate of $90 billion a year. Only 40 percent of that debt is actively being repaid, and students are not permitted to escape that debt burden through bankruptcy, so we may be headed for a student-loan bubble like the housing bubble.

The one project that received an increased appropriation in the bipartisan deal to raise the debt ceiling was more money to subsidize students to go to college. Loaning taxpayers’ money to students to go to college makes no sense and is hurtful even to the students who get the money.

If students were working a 48-hour-a-week night job, as I did when I worked my way through college, they wouldn’t have time to get into the mischief referenced by the recent DCL or to attend drinking parties, and they wouldn’t accumulate the indebtedness that will burden their lives for decades.

For encouragement, they can read Zac Bissonnette’s helpful book, “Debt-Free U: How I Paid for an Outstanding College Education Without Loans, Scholarships, or Mooching Off My Parents.” Alternatively, students can get a job that doesn’t require a college education.

Over the past almost-three years, I’ve had to laugh—in contempt—when the so-called intelligentsia have shaken their collective heads in bewilderment and seeming incomprehension as they’ve watched Obama and his essentially Communist regime plunge our nation into:

* A disastrous economy.

* Escalating unemployment (25 million at last count, with minority communities suffering the most).

* Zero job growth.

* Constant end-runs around our Constitution, including unconstitutionally creating a 12-member Super Committee which bypasses the other 523 members and places extraordinary powers of decision into a clique that in no way represents We the People..

* The systematic sabotage and undermining of our military.

* The alienation of trusted allies around the world.

* A curare-dipped machete into our most trusted ally in the Middle East, Israel, and the manipulation of regimes in that region once led by friends of the U.S. but now led in Libya by al Qaeda terrorists and in Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood….both jihadist, virulently anti-American enterprises.

* The purposeful destruction of our energy-independence sources, particularly coal and oil, despite two contempt-of-court orders.

* The use of tyrannical unconstitutional Executive Orders to demolish quintessential iconic American institutions, for instance the U.S. Light Bulb Factory, in order to send American jobs to Mexico.

* The usurpation of almost 20 percent of our economy with a draconian healthcare plan that is more reviled today than when it was jammed down our throats on Christmas Eve of 2009.

And what have our most seasoned commentators and political writers said about all this?…………………

Lew Rockwell: Five US Republics…

Happy ‘4th of July

Posted by Lew Rockwell on September 9, 2011 10:02 AM

http://www.prisonplanet.com/

If we were as honest as the French, we would admit that there have been at least 5 US republics. The 1st was founded in 1789, in the centralization and empowerment of government in the Constitution; the 2nd came with the increased centralization under Lincoln; the 3rd was established under Wilson with world war, central banking, the income tax, and the centralizing 17th amendment; the 4th was founded by FDR with his fascist New Deal and another world war; and the 5th was born on 09/11/01.

Now, I’ll admit these are arbitrary; one could add Truman, LBJ-Nixon, and others; every single US president has left the government more powerful than he found it. Also note that I use the president’s name to symbolize the oligarchy of government, as if government were personal, as in the ancient world; of course, the president is just a campaign button on the lapel of the plutocracy, and that was as true of George Washington as it is of Barack Obama.

In any event, as we are all instructed to celebrate the further empowerment of the banking-military junta, and as we are warned about some alleged threat from agent provocateurs, I say: Bah, humbug. I do not consent to be ruled by this murdering, lying gang of thieves. I reject the State and all its works, and all its empty promises.
