Chuck Baldwin — Economic Bad Times Just Beginning
Except for Ron Paul, no one is giving more than ten-second sound bites of lip service to what is necessary to conquering the real culprits of America’s economic malaise:
expunging the fiat money system and returning America to hard money principles, dismantling that cabal of international criminals known as the Federal Reserve, returning America’s foreign policy to its constitutional parameters of non-interventionism, eviscerating those federal programs and entities not prescribed by the US Constitution, getting rid of the income tax, and taking the United States out from under the power and influence of the United Nations.
No one else has the guts to even seriously talk about these issues, much less to actually do something about it! And if the “powers that be” successfully defeat Dr. Paul’s candidacy, it won’t matter to a tinker’s dam who gets elected President in 2012 (that is, unless a constitutionalist third-party candidate miraculously wins the Presidency)! Republican or Democrat, it will be business-as-usual……………………………

So far, the collective record of American Law Enforcement is pretty abysmal. You guys are responsible for public safety, you have failed because of your ignorant, “holier than thou” attitude. This Country is fast going down the tubes, on YOUR watch, YOU are responsible . YOU are a FAILURE because of your misconception of your own importance..
Open your eyes, man, LOOK at what is taking place around you.
Let me explain some more.
I am an Investigator. I was twenty plus years in the British Police, I was a ranking Detective, Scotland Yard. I got to investigate the effects of the extreme Left on the Prison population. What we found was that the left, the Marxists, Maoists, Trotskyists, Communists etc, were actively indoctrinating the Career Criminal “fraternity” of groups like the Provisional IRA, knowing that their bombing and killings would get most of them imprisoned. The theory, which was amazingly effective, was that the imprisoned criminals, now fully indoctrinated and active subversives, could then work on the prison population to produce a massive population of left/subversive activists who would turn on society and further spread their cancerous dogma, undermining the societal framework and providing a path to “Communist domination.”…………………

Couple in shock after drug raid (more WOD buffoonery)
A massive drug raid in Roswell last week targeted dozens of people at homes across the city.
But one of those homes didn’t have what police were looking for, and their unexpected visit left the people inside shaken and upset.
It started shortly after Nancy Parker’s husband came home from work Friday evening.
“There came this huge bang on the door, front door, sounded like the door was going to fall in,” recalled Parker.
She said her husband opened the door to multiple officers in raid gear with guns drawn.
“We were completely shocked, upset,” she continued. “I was panicked because I’ve never had anything like this happen to us before, never.”
She said the officers demanded to come inside her home.
“And my husband asked, ‘Do you have a warrant? Who are you looking for?’ and they said, ‘Gerald Sentell,’” Parker said. “We don’t even know this person.”
DEA agents said Sentell is one of the fugitives officers were looking for during last week’s drug bust.
A DEA spokesperson told News 13 the agents were following up on a citizen’s tip that Sentell was at the home.
Parker said she and her husband were wary of cooperating because they weren’t sure what was going on.
When asked if she thought the officers could have been imposters, Parker replied, “Yes. That’s very much what we thought, and that’s why my husband said no, you’re not coming in this house without a warrant.”
The DEA spokesperson said the agents left when they were denied entry by the couple.
Parker said she’s still not over the incident.
“I felt like I was in a nightmare, you know this doesn’t happen to us,” she said. “All I could tell you is I couldn’t move, I couldn’t even hardly think, I was so afraid.”
DEA officials said every officer involved in the raid had vests with the word, ‘Police’ clearly marked, and that guns were out of their holsters but were not directly pointed at anyone in this case.
The DEA said all of the officers involved in the raid were following procedure and did nothing wrong.
Police are still looking for Sentell, along with many other suspects from the drug raid.

The CIA Reveals It Has 52 Osama Bin Laden Death Photos And Videos
The Obama administration is arguing in court that releasing the death photos and videos of Osama Bin Laden will reveal military secrets and lead to increased violence against U.S. citizens.
According to Politico, papers filed in court late Monday night reveal the Central Intelligence Agency has “52 unique…photographs and/or videorecordings” portraying bin Laden during or after the Abbottabad raid.
No other specifics were made available as the images are all “TOP SECRET” and their release is deemed detrimental to U.S. national security.
From Politico:
“All of the responsive records are the product of a highly sensitive, overseas operation that was conducted under the direction of the CIA,” Bennett wrote, arguing that disclosure of the information would reveal “intelligence activities and/or methods.” He called the photos “gruesome,” and said they depict the gunshot wound to bin Laden’s head. It is unclear whether his descriptions referred to all the images and videos, or just some of them.
The suit is the result of a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch who sued the Defense Department for failing to provide the images.
The conservative watchdog group is expected to respond to the governments filings by October 24……………..

Jesse Ventura Calls For NFL Boycott Over TSA-Style Groping
Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has called for a nationwide boycott of the NFL in response to its announcement that attendees to all football games will be groped TSA-style, while Ventura also launched a campaign for a national no fly day set to take place on July 4th 2012.
Ventura responded to the news about the NFL announcing they would carry out TSA-style pat downs by telling the Alex Jones Show that such measures are already commonplace at many sports venues.
“I’m a season ticket holder with the Minnesota Lynx, the women’s basketball team, and two times they’ve stopped me to wand me. The first one the guy stopped me because I had my wallet and my keys in my front pocket, and he stopped me and said ‘excuse me what’s in your front pocket’ – and I looked at the kid and I said ‘I’m the damn Governor’ – I said ‘don’t make me have to sue you like I’m suing TSA’. I said ‘what difference does it make I used to be the Governor here, use some common sense young man’, and I chewed his ass out,” said Ventura
“I advocate a boycott of the National Football League and leave their stadiums empty,” said Ventura, adding, “That’s what this country needs to do to rise up – we the people have to start speaking back….how about a day of the year where nobody flies, I would love to see that happen.”
Ventura then went on to select July 4th 2012 as the date for a national campaign when Americans would refuse to fly in protest against the TSA.
“We’re supposed to be a country of the people, by the people and for the people, not them, right now we’re subservient to the government – our forefathers did not have that in mind, that’s not what this country was supposed to be, the government was supposed to be subservient to us,” he stated.
“Why is it the government’s job to provide security for the airlines when the airlines are a private sector business?” asked Ventura. “Why not have the airlines provide their own security?”

Ventura also echoed similar concerns made public by Ron Paul, that the federal government was preparing to use the problem of illegal immigration to erect checkpoints on all major highways and force Americans to accept a national ID card.
Ventura is currently engaged in a legal battle in a bid to sue the TSA for groping him during an incident last November. Ventura’s stance has put his career under threat – he has considered abandoning travel by air altogether if TSA pat-down policies are not amended.
Ventura is constantly subjected to harassment by TSA workers when he travels as a result of his hip replacement which routinely sets off metal detectors.
A federal judge is currently deliberating on whether the case will go to trial, a long delay that Ventura and his lawyer suspect may mean that the trial will proceed.
“Any case like this has been ruled upon faster than this one, this is the longest any judge has held on to a case, I can state that unequivocally,” said Ventura, adding that it has been over two months since he last appeared in court over the issue.
Ventura has vowed to call a press conference if his case is thrown out and he is denied a jury trial.

Flashback Trojan Spreading; Mac Users Should Be Wary of Flash Installers
Following our recent security memo about the Mac Flashback Trojan horse, Intego has seen an increase in the number of Mac users infected by this malware. After publicizing this threat, many users have posted both in the comments on this blog, and on other blogs and forums about having either seen this malware download, or actually installing it.
If you end up on a site that is serving this malware, you will see something similar to this:
The first things you see are the crashed plugin graphic and the purported error messages. After this, the fake Adobe Flash installer screen pops up, and then the Flashback Trojan horse installation package downloads. At this point, if you have the default Safari settings – which allow “safe” downloads to open automatically – you will see an Installer window open.
This is effective social engineering. Savvy Mac users will not be fooled, because they know that a Flash installer would never appear in this manner, but two things make this approach believable. First, Flash Player is not installed on Mac OS X Lion, so users will need to install it themselves if they want to view Flash content on the web. Second, if they do have Flash Player installed, and have set the Flash Player preference pane (in System Preferences) to automatically check for updates, they may think that this is an update alert. (We have never had any such alerts, in spite of having checked that setting.) So this can easily fool many Mac users into downloading the malware.
For these reasons, Intego is raising the risk level of this malware to medium.
If you see a web page similar to that shown above, do not run any installer, and if the Installer window does not open, check your Downloads folder for any package file that contains the name Flash, then delete it. Only download Flash Player installers from the Adobe web site.

NC governor struck serious tone on suspending congressional elections
If it was a joke, North Carolina Democratic Governor Bev Perdue needs to polish her delivery.
Newly released audio contradicts the claims of Perdue’s press team that her call Tuesday for suspending Congressional election was a joke or hyperbole. In the recording, her tone is matter-of-fact and her comments are part of a serious speech.
“Listen to the Governor’s words: She wasn’t joking at all,” North Carolina GOP spokesman Rob Lockwood told The Daily Caller. “The congressional Democrats are wildly unpopular in North Carolina, so she may have been trying to invent a solution to save their jobs from public accountability.”
“If it was a joke, what was the set-up?,” Lockwood adds. “What was the punch-line? Where was the pause for laughter? It took them three hours to say it was a ‘joke,’ but when that flopped it became ‘hyperbole.’ We’ll just call it an unconstitutionally bad idea.”

Herman Cain Describes Ron Paul Supporters’ Concerns As “Stupid”
Businessman Herman Cain has made remarks somewhat unbecoming of a presidential candidate, declaring his annoyance at “stupid” questions continually put to him by Ron Paul supporters.
The former Godfather’s Pizza CEO, who is running for the GOP nomination on a broadly libertarian platform, seems to have a problem with Paulites’ concerns regarding the Federal Reserve.
“I get the same stupid question at almost every one of these events,” Cain writes in a forthcoming book “This is Herman Cain,” to be released in early October.
According to the Daily Caller, which has obtained an advance copy of the book, Cain claims that Paul’s supporters are “threatened by me” and are “trying to destroy me on the fact that I was once affiliated with” the Federal Reserve.
Cain even has his own conspiracy theory that Paul’s campaign is deliberately sending people out to Cain events to attempt to discredit him:
“I know it’s a deliberate strategy.” Cain writes, “How can a person randomly show up at a hundred events and ask the same stupid question to try to nail me on the Federal Reserve?”
Is Cain serious? Clearly he has no concept of the determination and reach of Ron Paul’s grassroots support base. Paulites are focused and unwavering, just as their chosen candidate has been for thirty plus years.
Ron Paul has warned his supporters for three decades and more about the dangerous of a fraudulent fractional reserve banking system in the hands of private central bankers, and no one can legitimately argue any longer that those concerns have not been justified. Why is it so hard for Cain to accept that every Ron Paul supporter would share the same concerns?
Paul’s supporters have argued that Cain is not serious about reigning in the power of the Federal Reserve over US monetary policy, pointing to the fact that he was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1995 and 1996.
While Ron Paul has continually pushed to audit the Fed, Cain seemingly does not believe an audit is necessary:
“I have said: ‘I don’t think you’re going to find anything to audit on the Federal Reserve.’” Cain writes. “But they (Ron Paul supporters) want you to believe that Herman Cain doesn’t want the Federal Reserve to be audited.”
“It’s really becoming annoying more than anything else.” Cain states.

Polls have consistently revealed that at least 75% of the American people want a full audit of the Fed, and the majority were against reconfirming Bernanke.
Bloomberg noted last December:
A majority of Americans are dissatisfied with the nation’s independent central bank, saying the U.S. Federal Reserve should either be brought under tighter political control or abolished outright, a poll shows.
Americans across the political spectrum say the Fed shouldn’t retain its current structure of independence. Asked if the central bank should be more accountable to Congress, left independent or abolished entirely, 39 percent said it should be held more accountable and 16 percent that it should be abolished. Only 37 percent favor the status quo.
In light of these facts, Cain seems totally out of touch with what voters core concerns are, especially libertarian leaning republican and independent voters. To describe questions over the Federal Reserve as “stupid” and “annoying” betrays a disconnect with the American people on the whole.
Furthermore, for Cain to insinuate that Ron Paul’s campaign is deliberately seeking to sabotage Cain’s own platform smacks of desperation and paranoia to say the least……………..

The Internet has matured. Anonymity has become counterproductive and even damaging. If you’re willing to stand up and render a public opinion, you should reveal your identity. The time has come to limit the ability of people to remain anonymous.
In the early days of the experiment called America, the right to send in an anonymous letter to the editor was considered a hallmark of the constitutional right to free speech. Opinions under pseudonyms were common. Beginning in the Cold War era, newspaper editors developed a dislike for them because individuals could spew any sort of unfounded opinion without consequences and without backing an opinion up with any hard facts.
By the 1970s, editors started insisting that people identify themselves if they wanted the privilege of stating their views in a public forum. By 2000, most newspapers refused to accept anonymous letters to the editor in all but a few special cases.
When traditional newspapers started publishing online, they bumped up against established online rules of engagement. In their zeal to embrace this new model of information dissemination, editors once again accepted anonymous comments. In many cases they naively thought it would foster a positive sense of community and encourage greater reader engagement by allowing the ability to comment on virtually any news article…………

FCC makes its net neutrality rules official (MEGABARF – Marxists labeled as “non-partisan”)
LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – The Federal Communication Commission‘s net neutrality rules were made official on Friday morning, with their publication in the Federal Register.
As already announced, they will go into effect on November 20.

Consumer advocates were on the whole more positive.
The non-partisan group Free Press, which champions universal access to communications, supported the rules while also voicing reservations about loopholes.

Stalking the Secret Patriot Act (GPS location tracking)
Since this spring’s blink-and-you-missed-it debate over reauthorization of several controversial provisions of the Patriot Act, Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Mark Udall (D-CO) have been complaining to anyone who’d listen about a “Secret Patriot Act“—an interpretation of one of the law’s provisions by the classified Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court granting surveillance powers exceeding those an ordinary person would understand to be conferred from the text of the statute itself. As I argued at the time, there is an enormous amount of strong circumstantial evidence suggesting that this referred to a “sensitive collection program” involving cell phone location tracking—potentially on a mass scale—using Patriot’s “Section 215″ or “business records” authority.
Lest anyone think they’d let the issue drop, Wyden and Udall last week released a sharply-worded letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, blasting the Justice Department for misleading the public about the scope of the government’s surveillance authority. The real audience for an open letter of this sort, of course, is not the nominal recipient, but rather the press and the public. Beyond simply reminding us that the issue exists, the letter confirms for the first time that the “secret law” of which the senators had complained does indeed involve Section 215. But there are some additional intriguing morsels for the attentive surveillance wonk.

Traditional Hackers Now Turning Their Crosshairs on Conservatives
Owners of popular conservative websites have increasing reason to be concerned their sites may be hacked or otherwise physically attacked for political reasons. Traditionally, hackers took an anarchist approach that primarily targeted government websites. Lately, they are assailing politically conservative websites. Many of these newer attacks are coming from hackers associated with Wikileaks. Some libertarian conservatives defend Wikileaks’ business of leaking government documents, unaware that its affiliates are hypocritically trying to silence them. In addition to wreaking technical havoc, hackers have figured out they can use Google’s strict policy against deceptive website tactics to keep conservative websites hidden from the internet for long periods of time.
After Google banned my website, Intellectual Conservative, a few weeks ago due to some political enemies who had “cloaked” it, I decided to look into how prevalent the hacking of conservatives websites has become. Politically targeted hacking is known as “hactivism,” and is really a form of cyberterrorism. Not all attacks upon websites are considered hacking, some are less intrusive such as DDoS (distributed denial-of-service attack), where a website is continually pinged until it is forced to shut down.

“The intent is to establish a fair and equitable partnership with a market leader who will who gather data from various social media outlets and news sources and provide applicable reporting to FRBNY. This Request for Proposal (“RFP“) was created in an effort to support FRBNY’s Social Media Listening Platforms initiative.”
A system like this is not cheap. Apparently the Federal Reserve Bank of New York believes that gathering all of this information is very important. In recent years, criticism of the Federal Reserve has become very intense, and most of this criticism has been coming from the Internet. It has gotten to the point where the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has decided that it had better listen to what is being said and find out who is saying it.
“Social media listening platforms are solutions that gather data from various social media outlets and news sources. They monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria. They can also determine the sentiment of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document.”

U.S. Lawmaker: Hizbullah Could Build Missile Sites In Cuba
A U.S. Republican lawmaker has warned that Hizbullah could build “missile sites” in Cuba and pose a threat to the United States.
“Why would you normalize trade with a country that sponsor terror?” Rep. Michele Bachmann asked an audience of supporters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa Monday, in response to a question about her position on trading with Cuba.
“There are reports that have come out that Cuba has been working with another terrorist organization called Hizbullah,” she said.
The Shiite party “is looking at wanting to be part of missile sites in Iran and, of course, when you are 90 miles offshore from Florida, you don’t want to entertain the prospect of hosting bases or sites where Hizbullah could have training camps or perhaps have missile sites or weapons sites in Cuba. This would be foolish,” she added.

Ford’s success stirs UAW resentment in labor talks
DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford‘s turnaround over the last five years has resulted in big profits and won its CEO a reputation for brilliant management.
But those same achievements are stirring resentment among many of its factory workers. And that is complicating contract talks between the company and its union employees.
GM and Chrysler needed government bailouts and bankruptcy protection to stay in business, but Ford took billions in private loans and endured on its own.
As a result, Ford became a consumer favorite and the company prospered. It paid Mulally for engineering the turnaround and restored merit pay and some other benefits for white-collar workers, angering union members.
“The compensation for the CEO has been widely publicized, and those kinds of things wend their way up and down the assembly line,” says Harley Shaiken, a professor at the University of California at Berkeley and a specialist in labor issues. “It creates higher expectations.”
Ford compensation records obtained by The Associated Press shows that UAW-represented hourly workers have seen larger increases in pay and benefits over the last decade than many white-collar workers.

How in the world does the average American family survive in this economy? The median household income is a little bit less than $50,000 a year right now. So let’s call that about $4000 a month. But before any of that money gets spent, you have to take out at least $1000 in taxes. That leaves about $3000 a month to pay all the bills with. With that $3000 you have to pay the mortgage (or rent), make the car payments, make the student loan payments, pay for power and water, pay for health insurance, pay for home insurance, pay for car insurance, pay the phone bill, pay the Internet bill and pay the cable bill. On top of all that, every member of the family needs three meals a day and the cars need to be filled up with gasoline or they won’t go anywhere. The truth is that American families are getting squeezed harder than they have been in ages. The number of good jobs is declining, incomes are going down, and the cost of living just keeps going up.

#1 The cost of a health insurance policy for the average American family rose by a whopping 9 percent last year. According to a report put out by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research and Educational Trust, the average family health insurance policy now costs over $15,000 a year.
How in the world can most families afford that? Yes, in many cases employers are paying for at least a portion of that, but still that seems absolutely outrageous.
#2 Due to rising costs, a lot of employers are completely getting rid of health plans for their employees. In fact, the percentage of Americans covered by employer-based health plans has fallen for 11 years in a row……………

Facebook tracks your every move, even after logging out
The social media empire Facebook has unveiled some new “features” on its platform in recent days that many allege are a total and compete privacy-breaching nightmare. But one hidden feature, discovered by Nik Cubrilovic, an Australian entrepreneur and writer, that few people are aware of is the fact that Facebook now monitors your online activity, even when you are not logged in to the service.
With each new change Facebook makes, users’ privacy becomes a little less … nonexistent, if you will. The most recent “News Feed” modifications, for example, display everything you say and do on the site to all of your “friends,” and even to the public. And now, even after logging out of Facebook, permanent “cookies” track all your movements on websites that contain Facebook buttons or widgets.
“Even if you are logged out, Facebook still knows and can track every page you visit,” Cubrilovic wrote on a recent blog posting. “The only solution is to delete every Facebook cookie in your browser, or to use a separate browser for Facebook interactions” (http://nikcub-static.appspot.com/lo…).
But how many Facebook users will actually know to do this? The site has never announced to its users that it is even tracking them in the first place, let alone given them any instructions on how to “opt-out” of this egregious invasion of privacy.

Facebook, of course, has become infamous for simply changing its site setup, including privacy settings, and leaving it up to users to figure out how to contain their breached information after the fact. It has switched from an “opt-in” approach, where users used to be given the option to “upgrade” to new features, to a much more complicated “opt-out” approach, where Facebook makes drastic changes and leaves it up to users to somehow figure out how to change things back to the way they were (if such an option is even still possible).
“While initially opt-in, the default then seems to be expose everything,” says David Vaile, executive director of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre, concerning Facebook’s “breathtaking and audacious grab for whole life data.”
“Facebook, once again, are (sic) doing things that are beyond most users’ capacity to understand while reducing their privacy … the default setting for any site should be ‘reveal nothing about me unless I make a specific choice otherwise.’”

Former Governor Calls For Paul-Ventura Ticket
Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has sensationally called for Ron Paul to quit the Republican Party in order to form a Paul-Ventura libertarian ticket that can take on the establishment candidates in the race for the White House in 2012.
“Ron Paul can win, all you’ve got to do is activate and get the silent voters out to vote,” Ventura told the Alex Jones Show, adding that a Ron Paul-Ventura Libertarian ticket would create “incredible excitement”.
“Ron Paul needs to quit the Republican Party, get the nomination for the Libertarian Party,” said Ventura, adding that he would consider being in a Ron Paul cabinet if the Congressman won.
“I would be his best choice because I would be a great insurance policy,” joked Ventura, noting that nothing would happen to Ron Paul because it would mean he would be in power and would cause the establishment even greater problems than the Congressman.
Ventura cautioned that he would have to consult his wife before committing to being Ron Paul’s VP, but that he would be willing if she gave the green light.

Given that Ron Paul is already committed to the contest for the Republican nomination and is performing well, he is unlikely to switch to the Libertarian ticket. However, Ventura spoke of blazing a trail for future elections where he and Paul could team up, meaning we could yet see a Paul-Ventura ticket in 2016.
Others have remarked that Ron Paul is blazing the trail for his son Rand Paul. “I know a lot of people in the movement are looking at Rand Paul further down the road,” Paul’s New Hampshire campaign chairman, state Sen. Jim Forsythe recently told Politico.
Ventura has a notable post when it comes to running as an anti-establishment figure and being successful. He captured the Minnesota Governorship in 1998 by spending far less money to defeat the two major party candidates with an aggressive, populist, grass roots campaign.
