Anonymous Goes After the Pepper Spray Cop’s Personal Info

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

The police officer videoed spraying what appears to be pepper spray into the eyes of peaceful protesters in New York City on Saturday has found Internet fame as online activists target him in traditional hacker fashion: By releasing all his personal and professional data online in an attack known as a dox. The last few months have seen the online activism of Anonymous moving into the real world with direct actions like the Op-BART demonstrations in San Francisco and the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protest in New York. The spread of this video blurs the line between online and real-world activism once more as the wider digital population of Anonymous targets the officer for retaliation by going after his data, his identity, and his job in a classic bit of hactivism.

U.S. Army prepares to invade U.S.

During debates on the Banker Bailout Bill on the floor of Congress in 2008, Congressman Brad Sherman made a startling revelation “Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop 2 or 3000 points the first day and another couple of thousand points the second day and a few members were even told that there would be MARTIAL LAW IN AMERICA if we voted no.”

Plans to suspend the Constitution have been taking place behind the scenes under cover of ‘Continuity of Government Contigency’ plans first exposed in the mid 1980 and raised by Congressman Jack Brooks during the Iran-Contra hearings and squashed by hearing chairman Daniel Inouye, HI.

Alabama Billboard Hopes to Reach Potential Idiots Before 2012 Election (hee hee hee)

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

A billboard Athens, Alabama reaches out to potential idiots. WHNT reported:

The corner of Capshaw and East Limestone Road hardly qualifies as a bustling intersection, but a nearby billboard has been getting the area attention.

The billboard reads, “If you voted for our current president in 2008 to prove you weren’t a racist, please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot. Thank you . . . Concerned Citizens of America.”

But they aren’t the only citizens that are concerned.

Local resident Lee Daniels says, “To make the statement that a vote for 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot, well that was saying, in my opinion, that whoever voted for him in ’08 was an idiot, and that’s just really inflammatory.”

Not everyone takes the billboard so seriously though.

Area resident Brandon Fall fall says, “I think it’s hilarious. I agree with every bit of it, and it makes my day every time I drive by it.”…..

The Federal Reserve Plans To Identify ‘Key Bloggers’ and Monitor Billions of Conversations About the Fed on Facebook, Twitter, Forums and Blogs

“The intent is to establish a fair and equitable partnership with a market leader who will who gather data from various social media outlets and news sources and provide applicable reporting to FRBNY. This Request for Proposal (“RFP“) was created in an effort to support FRBNY’s Social Media Listening Platforms initiative.”

A system like this is not cheap. Apparently the Federal Reserve Bank of New York believes that gathering all of this information is very important. In recent years, criticism of the Federal Reserve has become very intense, and most of this criticism has been coming from the Internet. It has gotten to the point where the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has decided that it had better listen to what is being said and find out who is saying it.

“Social media listening platforms are solutions that gather data from various social media outlets and news sources. They monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria. They can also determine the sentiment of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document.”

Making Anarchy Believable by David Gordon

The Conscience of an Anarchist: Why It’s Time to Say Good-Bye to the State and Build a Free Society • By Gary Chartier • Cobden Press, 2011 • X + 118 pages

Gary Chartier is a difficult author to review. In this excellent book, he displays a remarkable ability to discuss a profusion of arguments in a short number of pages. Given this abundance, I cannot hope to give a comprehensive account of the book. I propose instead to concentrate on a few arguments; but to get the full impact of the way Chartier amasses point after point in his relentless case against the state, one needs to read the entire work.

Chartier quickly dispatches philosophical arguments that claim to show a duty of obedience to the state. One such argument claims that “simply remaining within a state’s territory somehow constitutes consent to its authority” (p. 7). Against this, Chartier raises two points. First, if someone remains in a territory, this by no means shows that he has in fact consented to the state’s authority. He might have all sorts of other reasons for staying. “Perhaps I remain there because opportunities for work are plentiful, or because my friends are there, or because I like the style of architecture. And perhaps I don’t [leave] because gangs of thugs seem to be in charge everywhere else” (p. 7).

400 MPG… Or Conspiracy Theory? by Eric Peters

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

Maybe the conspiracy theorists were right after all.

That was the first thought to pop into my head as I read about an engineer named Steve Fambro – and his 400 mpg hybrid Aptera two-seater. Yes, you read that right. 400 MPG.

Really.

The mileage of the snarky little gullwing coupe is about five times better than the mileage posted by the best hybrid a major automaker has ever delivered – the 70 mpg Honda Insight (mark I, the small two-seater built back in the early 2000s, not the current model) and makes a new Toyota Prius look like a ’69 Chrysler Newport with two dead cylinders, a slipping transmission and a trunk full of bricks.

Fill-ups could be a once-a-month deal. Your gas bill by cut by two-thirds. For all practical purposes, we’d back to the days when fuel cost less than a buck per gallon since we’d need to buy it so infrequently. OPEC’s meaty fingers would no longer be crushing our windpipes. What goes on in Iraq, Libya and Iran would matter a lot less than it does right now.

Is there a catch?…..

The Police State Abolishes the Trial by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.

September 27, 2011 1 comment

Several years ago, the police entered the office of a young professor at a reputable university and arrested him for an online crime. They took the professor away, booked him, and then offered him a deal: admit guilt and get off easy. The professor said to the few people to whom he was permitted to speak that this was crazy because he was innocent. His lawyer warned him: fight this and you could get life; admit guilt and you will get a suspended sentence. He took the deal. It was a trick. Now he languishes in jail, his life wrecked as far into the future as he can see.

This doesn’t happen in America, does it? Yes, it does. Not only that, it is increasingly the norm. Those raised on a steady diet of courtroom television shows believe that they are true to the way justice is meted out. This is completely naive. Trials in federal criminal cases are rare. Nine in ten cases are settled in pleas like the above case. Only 3 percent of the cases go to trial. Among those that go to trial, the defendant wins once in every 212 times.,,,,,MORE,,,,,

Exclusive Report: “High Strangeness” in Afghan Ambush

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

It’s likely that most Americans have never heard of the Ganjgal Valley in Afghanistan. What you are about to read is a true account of what happened there during an agonizing several hours on September 8, 2009. If I have done my job right, by the time you finish, you will be saddened and very angry. But most of all, if you really care about our troops beyond the obligatory lapel pins and bumper stickers, you will demand answers from the highest levels of our government. Because, but for the grace of God, this account could be about you or one of your family members being executed on the other side of the globe.

The families and loved ones of five of America’s best and bravest have experienced an irreplaceable loss due to their needless deaths, which is a gaping wound that continues to be shrouded in mystery despite what various official reports suggest. The voluminous and heavily redacted official investigation leaves more questions than it answers, thus denying true justice to our fallen heroes and their families. Truth and justice have been denied for too long, and now is the time to accept nothing less…………

Is Obama Constitutionally Qualified to Serve As Our President, Or Is He a Fraud?

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

For the past six months, retired Army Colonel Lawrence Sellin has been writing columns here at Canada Free Press (CFP), averaging around three per week. His columns have been studiously focused on the subject of Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as President of the United States.

Colonel Sellin’s objective seemingly has been to provide enough factual information on the subject for public discussion and opinion, sprinkled with many personal conclusions to determine Obama’s IN-eligibility to serve in that office.

Sellin’s columns in CFP are not alone in this regard with several other columnists, myself included for the past few years, but his columns have been gathering an abundance of comments and questions from CFP readers which mainly result in posing the question, “What can we do about it?”

Below are write-in responses to Sellin’s columns as provided by readers to CFP. The names have been omitted but are available online at the CFP website in the ‘Comments’ section of Sellin’s column:……………

FCC: Your Internet belongs to us

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filed a final version of its net neutrality rules Thursday, one year after they voted to pass the framework defining the principles of an ‘open Internet.’ The vote on the framework was passed on partisan lines, 3-2.

Tennessee Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who had voted for a House resolution to overturn the rule, supported Hutchison’s call for a Senate resolution. “The FCC is in essence building an Internet Iron Curtain that will restrict more of our freedom,” she said in a statement.

Dr. and Attorney Orly Taitz visited with staffers of seven representatives and senators on Capitol Hill last week

(Sep. 2y, 2011) — The Post & Email previously reported on Atty. Orly Taitz’s trip by invitation to Washington, DC to speak with legal counsel, chiefs of staff and other personnel working for several U.S. Congressmen and Senators on September 22, 2011. The following is the conclusion of Dr. Taitz’s interview with us regarding her meetings, suggested steps which Americans can take to urge that the matters of alleged Social Security fraud and judicial obstruction be heard and acted upon by a congressional committee, and how political posturing appears to be obstructing the congressmen from taking action on the evidence of crime she has presented and of which she has stated they are fully aware.

I also talked to the legal counsel for Congressman Steve King. King was very outspoken about Obama’s uncle and aunt who have been in this country illegally and have fraudulently obtained social security numbers. The uncle had been working using this number, and his aunt was receiving social security benefits and was residing in subsidized housing using a fraudulently-obtained social security number from Indiana, though she never resided there and she was here illegally…..

EPA: Regulations would require 230,000 new employees, $21 billion

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats — at a cost of $21 billion — to attempt to implement the rules.

The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.

The proposed regulations would set greenhouse gas emission thresholds above which businesses must file for an EPA permit and complete extra paperwork in order to continue operating. If the EPA wins its court battle and fully rolls out the greenhouse gas regulations, the number of businesses forced into this regulatory regime would grow tremendously — from approximately 14,000 now to as many as 6.1 million.

These new regulatory efforts are not likely to succeed, the EPA admits, but it has decided to move forward regardless. “While EPA acknowledges that come 2016, the administrative burdens may still be so great that compliance … may still be absurd or impossible to administer at that time, that does not mean that the Agency is not moving toward the statutory thresholds,” the EPA wrote in a September 16 court briefing.

Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is God! Jesus Christ is the son of God!” the man continued.

“You’re the antichrist!” the man said. The crowd responded with an enthusiastic cheer of “four more years” afterward.

“First of all, I agree Jesus Christ is the Lord. I believe in that,” Obama said to tepid applause.

…..WARNING: GRAPHIC MEDICAL TERMS

On September 20, 2011, the final nail in the coffin to destroy our military was shoved in America’s face. Male sexual deviants will now openly flaunt their preference for bowel movement sex. Butch dykes and “feminine” lesbians will now be allowed to fault their perversions. Many may not realize it, but “bi-sexuals” will also now sully the uniform of our armed forces. How long before they demand “constitutional rights” to dress like Corporal Klinger on the old tv show, Mash, because it’s “part of their sexual orientation“? Unless you’re on a military base, it will be out of sight, out of mind for the majority of Americans. Go back to your sports or porn or the bar and let someone else take care of the mess.

Yes, I am aware of the growing numbers of sexual deviants in the military since the morally bankrupt, Bill Clinton, rammed DADT down our throats with the blessing of a morally bankrupt Congress. Sexual deviants should not be allowed to serve in the U.S. military, period. Of course, I will get the usual e-mails from libertarians who confuse licentiousness with liberty, as well as incredibily profane laced hate mail and death threats from sodomites for this column. Nothing new. Hit delete key.

The immoral, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, policy was the first step in forcing social experimentation into the U.S. military. Repealing DADT will destroy it. The U.S. military is a completely different institution than any other in this country. Regardless of which branch, our military is supposed to be battle ready, not spending time and money fighting through the sludge of what will now happen because sexual deviants will be allowed to shove their sexual preferences in everyone’s face. Military bases are full of family housing and elementary schools. Kids will now see what children should never be exposed to, never mind brainwashing them into believing it’s “normal and healthy.”…..

Cattle Feeder Says EPA Declared Hay a Pollutant

In a news release last week, the Environmental Protection Agency labeled hay a pollutant, according to the Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, United Stockgrowers of America (R-CALF USA). A non-profit organization representing thousands of U.S. cattle producers, R-CALF USA says the EPA’s outlandish affidavit could potentially require farmers and ranchers to store hay in pollution containment zones.

“There isn’t much about dysfunctional government that shocks me anymore, but this story did.” ~ Paying the Dead

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

There isn’t much about dysfunctional government that shocks me anymore, but this story did.

According to a report by the Office of Personnel Management and reported in Ed O’Keefe’s “The Federal Eye” column in the Washington Post, our government has been sending checks to dead people. “In the last five years,” O’Keefe writes, “the Office of Personnel Management has made more than $601 million in payments to dead federal retirees, according to the agency’s inspector general. Total annual payouts range between $100 million and $150 million.”

This isn’t something new. Inspector General (IG) Patrick McFarland had urged OPM in 2005 and again in 2008 to more closely monitor such payments. It appears his advice has gone unheeded.

“Improper payments to dead retirees are up 70 percent in the last five years,” cites the OPM report. In one outrageous case, the son of a deceased annuitant kept receiving federal benefits for 37 years after his father’s death. OPM didn’t learn about the improper payments until after the son died. Of course, the agency never recovered any of the money. Could this be why the government has no qualms about spending other people’s money?

Senator Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, conducted an investigation and reported last October on his findings. Coburn discovered that “the federal government had paid nearly $1 billion to at least 250,000 dead people since 2000. That same month, a watchdog reported that the Obama administration’s economic stimulus program had made 89,000 payments of $250 each to dead or incarcerated people,” writes O’Keefe.

I wonder how many of the dead and incarcerated got to vote and for whom?

As congressional Democrats and Republicans play another round of “chicken” over what, if anything, can be cut from the bloated budget and engage in phony theatrics over another possible government shutdown, those members who wish to be more responsible with other people’s money ought to make the issue of wasteful spending central to the upcoming campaign.

After removing the dead and incarcerated from the federal payroll, they can go after an agency that touches all Americans: the United States Postal Service (USPS). According to Citizens Against Government Waste (www.cagw.org), “The USPS has 600,000 employees and is the second largest employer in America behind Wal-Mart. The USPS Office of Inspector General reported that employees were paid $21.9 million for 875,540 hours of ‘stand-by’ time in FY 2010, and $4.3 million for 170,666 hours in the first half of FY 2011. The USPS also has a 24 percent vacancy rate in its 284 million square feet of interior office space.”

The problem is that once a federal agency or program is started, it is easier to find an honest politician than it is to cut something from the budget. Ronald Reagan noted the only proof of eternal life on Earth is a government program. Being dead does not have to remove one from the “spread the wealth” mentality of the current administration, or any administration. Misspending is clearly bipartisan.

Then there’s Solyndra, the California solar panel company that received half a billion dollars in loan guarantees and then declared bankruptcy. Solyndra officials invoked the 5th Amendment protection against self-incrimination last week before a congressional committee.

Also last week, Senate Democrats rejected a continuing spending resolution passed by the House because, among other reasons, it contains cuts in the very solar energy program that funded Solyndra. So just because a company or a person dies does not necessarily disqualify them from receiving additional taxpayer money (borrowed from the Chinese, of course). Eternal life, you see.

It is beyond disgraceful that so many elected officials and unelected bureaucrats continue to waste so much of our money, all the while demanding we be taxed more because they can’t “afford” to cut a dime and some of us allegedly aren’t contributing our “fair share.”

We are past not being able to afford our government and it’s long past time to start cutting them off, much as a parent might stop sending money to a spendthrift college student who wastes it on partying and high-living…..

Pakistan and “The Haqqani Network” : The Latest Orchestrated Threat to America and The End of History…

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

Have you ever before heard of the Haqqanis? I didn’t think so. Like Al Qaeda, about which no one had ever heard prior to 9/11, the “Haqqani Network” has popped up in time of need to justify America’s next war–Pakistan.

President Obama’s claim that he had Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden exterminated deflated the threat from that long-serving bogyman. A terror organization that left its leader, unarmed and undefended, a sitting duck for assassination no longer seemed formidable. Time for a new, more threatening, bogyman, the pursuit of which will keep the “war on terror” going.

Now America’s “worst enemy” is the Haqqanis. Moreover, unlike Al Qaeda, which was never tied to a country, the Haqqani Network, according to Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, is a “veritable arm” of the Pakistani government’s intelligence service, ISI. Washington claims that the ISI ordered its Haggani Network to attack the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, on September 13 along with the US military base in Wadak province.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a member of the Armed Services committee and one of the main Republican warmongers, declared that “all options are on the table” and gave the Pentagon his assurance that in Congress there was broad bipartisan support for a US military attack on Pakistan.

As Washington has been killing large numbers of Pakistani civilians with drones and has forced the Pakistani army to hunt for Al Qaeda throughout most of Pakistan, producing tens of thousands or more of dislocated Pakistanis in the process, Sen. Graham must have something larger in mind.

The Pakistani government thinks so, too. The Pakistani prime minister,Yousuf Raza Gilani, called his foreign minister home from talks in Washington and ordered an emergency meeting of the government to assess the prospect of an American invasion.

Meanwhile, Washington is rounding up additional reasons to add to the new threat from the Haqqanis to justify making war on Pakistan: Pakistan has nuclear weapons and is unstable and the nukes could fall into the wrong hands; the US can’t win in Afghanistan until it has eliminated sanctuaries in Pakistan; blah-blah.

Washington has been trying to bully Pakistan into launching a military operation against its own people in North Waziristan. Pakistan has good reasons for resisting this demand. Washington’s use of the new “Haqqani threat” as an invasion excuse could be Washington’s way of overcoming Pakistan’s resistance to attacking its North Waziristan provence, or it could be, as some Pakistani political leaders say, and the Pakistani government fears, a “drama” created by Washington to justify a military assault on yet another Muslim country.

* A d v e r t i s e m e n t

*

Over the years of its servitude as an American puppet, the Pakistan government has brought this on itself. Pakistanis let the US purchase the Pakistan government, train and equip its military, and establish CIA interface with Pakistani intelligence. A government so dependent on Washington could say little when Washington began violating its sovereignty, sending in drones and special forces teams to kill alleged Al Qaeda, but usually women, children, and farmers. Unable to subdue after a decade a small number of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan, Washington has placed the blame for its military failure on Pakistan, just as Washington blamed the long drawn-out war on the Iraqi people on Iran’s alleged support for the Iraqi resistance to American occupation.

Some knowledgeable analysts’ about whom you will never hear in the “mainstream media,” say that the US military/security complex and their neoconservative whores are orchestrating World War III before Russia and China can get prepared. As a result of the communist oppression, a signifiant percentage of the Russian population is in the American orbit. These Russians trust Washington more than they trust Putin. The Chinese are too occupied dealing with the perils of rapid economic growth to prepare for war and are far behind the threat.

War, however, is the lifeblood of the profits of the military/security complex, and war is the chosen method of the neoconservatives for achieving their goal of American hegemony.

Pakistan borders China and former constituent parts of the Soviet Union in which the US now has military bases on Russia’s borders. US war upon and occupation of Pakistan is likely to awaken the somnolent Russians and Chinese. As both possess nuclear ICBMs, the outcome of the military/security complex’s greed for profits and the neoconservatives’ greed for empire could be the extinction of life on earth.

The patriots and super-patriots who fall in with the agendas of the military-security complex and the flag-waving neoconservatives are furthering the “end-times” outcome so fervently desired by the rapture evangelicals, who will waft up to heaven while the rest of us die on earth.

This is not President Reagan’s hoped for outcome from ending the cold war.

Sharia Vigilante Street Justice in America

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

About a year ago, I posted an Arabic language poem titled “Tears at the Heart of the Holocaust” on my website, ArabsForIsrael.com. The poem expressed its Arab author’s love for the Jewish people and his mourning over what happened to them in the Holocaust. The brave poet, Mr. Alaa Alsaegh, is an immigrant to the US from Iraq, who now lives in Missouri. Such poems did not sit well with the Muslim community, which caused Mr. Alsaegh to be alienated from it. He received threats because of his support for the Jewish people, was called an infidel and a traitor to Islam, but he continued with his writing of poems and did not take the threats too seriously.

Mr. Alsaegh, as well as Muslim critics and former Muslims who are accused of apostasy, are living under threats, but, lo and behold, if we dare to speak about our fears, we are immediately silenced and accused of being Islamophobes. The mainstream media insist that there is no need to fear Sharia or its enforcers in America and that we are exaggerating our plight from Islam. We are told that what happens in the Arab streets can never happen in the streets of America.

Tell that to Alsaegh, after the unthinkable happened to him, when on August 14, 2011 and in broad daylight and heavy traffic, he was viciously attacked on the streets of St. Louis, Missouri. According to Mr. Alsaegh, as he was driving at 10:30 in the morning on Compton St. near Park Ave., a small white car cut him off and hit his car, while another car stopped behind him. The occupants of the cars, some of whom wore security guard-type uniforms, quickly entered Alsaegh’s car, pointing a gun at him. They pushed his upper body down against the steering wheel, stabbed him and pulled off his shirt to expose his back. Then, with a knife, they carved the Star of David on his back while laughing as they recited his pro-Jewish poem. Mr. Alsaegh believes that the attackers could be Somalis, but he was not sure. After the attackers fled the scene, Mr. Alsaegh was surrounded by witnesses to the crime and was taken to the hospital. The photo representing this story was taken at the hospital.

After I learned of the attack on Mr. Alsaegh, I did not want to rush to judgment and waited until he told me that the FBI concluded that this was a hate crime. I believe that my article on this incident is the first to be reported in the media. This incident has been totally ignored by the mainstream media.

Why is it that attacks perpetrated by Muslims against Muslim infidels or honor crimes are ignored? Crimes done by Muslims against other Muslims who are considered apostates should alert the American public of what is coming to American streets if Muslims start increasing in numbers. The dirty little secret of Islamic hate and intolerance is clear from this story, and no one in the media cares to expose it and alert the American public.

Your Ad Here

This story strikes at the heart of what the American media establishment is trying to advocate when it comes to Islam — that it is somehow a religion of peace and that those who criticize jihad and Islamic Jew-hatred are “Islamophobes.”

Are we going to call Mr. Alsaegh and those of us who have had similar threats “Islamophobes“? Are American media outlets covering up Islamic atrocities not only in the Middle East, but also in America? We former Muslims are putting our lives on the line to tell America that we are all in danger from the Islamic doctrines of jihad and Sharia, but few are listening, and our own media and politicians are calling us Islamophobes. Is that the America I love?

Mr. Alsaegh is now scared to death and wants to move away to another state where he can live and write anonymously. He is now left with the hospital emergency room bill to take care of.

I have been personally attacked recently by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and was listed by the government of Iran, together with others, as a threat. Such threats should never be taken lightly.

As to those who defend Sharia as “nothing to be scared of,” I say, welcome to Sharia vigilante street justice in the streets of America.

Refreshed from his most recent vacation to Martha’s Vineyard, Mr. Obama’s now concerned with jobs — or, more accurately, the lack of jobs under his administration. At the CBC Awards Dinner he promised that very small business owners, including a hundred thousand black owned businesses will get a tax cut under his so-called jobs bill. This is a victory of sorts because finally Mr. Obama has rediscovered there are black people in America.

RUSH: Whoa!

SNERDLEY: And then he told his rediscovered black audience to take off their bedroom slippers, “put on their marching shoes, shake it off, stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying. We’ve got work to do. We have to press on.” How utterly sad. There was no other audience who rates this unseemly presidential lecture from Barack Obama, and yet the push-back from the CBC has been tame — and now a translation for EIB brothers and sisters in the hood.

Oh, no, he di’in’t! Oh, no, he di’in’t. Oh, yeah, he did. You heard him, B! He and ‘celly partying like it’s 1999 every week up in the White House, up at Martha’s, on the Cape; and now that he’s in our grill, telling us to shake it off, stop whining, stop complying, stop crying. Stop crying? What’s up with that? You better step off, yo, and to relook this situation, dog. First of all, you know what it’s like out here? We got massive no jobs! No, okay? Massive no jobs, yo. Check that out, okay? We got so many empty houses that have been foreclosed on, man, we could start a new hood in the old hood — and homey’s talking about, “Stop crying, stop complain, stop grumbling”? Check this out. Do you go to the Hispanic audience Obama and tell ‘em to stop whining about jumping the fence, yo? No. Do you tell the Jew janitors, yo, to, you know, stifle it? No. The soccer moms? No. Your Wall Street posse? No.

Do you tell them to shut up? No. Stop complaining? No. But you come to our leaders… Well, you come to our… Well, you show up at the CBC and then all of a sudden you tell ‘em, in other words, S-T-F-U? You all know what that means? Well, never mind, okay? Check this out. Yo, right it’s time to take off the bedroom slippers put on the boots but we marching with you down to the White House, yo, to protest you and what you’ve done! You hooked up your union boys, you hooked up your Wall Street posse, you hooked up your crew, but you left the hood out of it ’til right now and the only thing you got to tell us is “shut up, stop complaining”? You better come better than that, bro, otherwise next November, it’s gonna be real cold up there — and you can’t run to Martha’s in the winter. I’m out, yo. Peace.

RUSH: And that is the Official Obama Criticizer, Mr. Bo Snerdley.

Why Barack Obama could be America’s last big government president

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

This week Gallup is unveiling a series of in-depth analyses of “Americans’ views on the role and performance of government” based on its annual Governance Survey … According to Gallup, Americans are expressing historic levels of negativity towards the US government, with “a record high 81 percent of Americans dissatisfied with the way the country is being governed,”…

(snip)

While not as low as the ratings for Congress, public satisfaction with the federal government has also plummeted. According to Gallup:

• 57% have little or no confidence in the federal government to solve domestic problems, exceeding the previous high of 53% recorded in 2010.

• Americans believe, on average, that the federal government wastes 51 cents of every tax dollar…

(snip)

Most strikingly of all, Gallup finds that:

• 49% of Americans believe the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. In 2003, less than a third (30%) believed this.

These figures pose huge problems for Barack Obama ahead of the presidential election in November 2012. Obama’s declining presidency has become synonymous with the image of big government

(snip)

The United States is undergoing one of the biggest political revolutions in its post-war history, and perhaps the most important since Ronald Reagan

(snip)

This is why Barack Obama could well end up being the last big government president of the United States, a nation that simply cannot afford the lavish excesses of an imperious presidency that drains the pay-checks of hard-working Americans with impunity and reckless abandon. The historic loss of faith in the federal government under Obama has combined with growing support across America for a return to the limited government ideals of the Founding Fathers.

Postal workers set to picket Burton office today

Union members heading to Marion to push for House bill

Kokomo postal workers will travel to Marion today to picket at Congressman Dan Burton’s office as part of a national campaign to stop a massive consolidation of the U.S. Postal Service.

Rally organizers will pass out information about House Resolution 1351, which union leaders say could return enough money to the postal service to avoid a proposed $3 billion cutback.

Labor organizations have coordinated a nationwide string of pickets today in an effort to prevent layoffs and closings at up to approximately 250 processing centers, including Kokomo’s. The postal service announced earlier this month there is a “new reality” that could mean eliminating up to 35,000 jobs nationwide, among other cuts.

H.R. 1351, if passed, would credit the postal service for overpayments to employees’ pensions. Federal law requires the agency to pre-fund 75 years worth of retiree health benefits.

Patti Orndorff, president of American Postal Workers Union Local 1014 in Kokomo, said union leaders want to pressure Burton and other legislators into voting in favor of the bill.

“We’re not wanting a bailout,” Orndorff said. “We’re just wanting our money back.”

Three congressional representatives from IndianaJoe Donnelly, Peter Visclosky and André Carson, all Democrats — are among 215 co-sponsors of the bill.

Staff for Burton, a Republican, did not respond Monday to inquiries about his stand on the proposed postal service consolidation.

Today’s rally likely will be the first of many ways postal employees will try to reach out for public support, Orndorff said. Unions have planned to submit letters to the editor and buy advertisements to distribute information.

Another picket is planned for Monday at Kokomo’s main post office on Webster Street.

The postal service is required to host public hearings before closing any operations.

If proposed plans follow through, Kokomo’s processing center, along with others from around central Indiana, would consolidate into Indianapolis.

The postal service says mail deliveries would increase to a minimum of two days. The standard is currently a minimum of one day.

About 110,000 postal workers have lost their jobs as part of more than $12 billion in cutbacks over the last four years. The agency says it needs to reduce its costs by $20 billion by 2015 to be profitable.

Save America’s Postal Service accredits the revenue losses to the retirement pre-payments, which have accounted for about $4.5 billion a year.

The US, the UN and Genetic Engineering

September 27, 2011 Leave a comment

Would you know if you were eating genetically engineered foods?

The Chicago Tribune recently reported that with no labeling on such foods, many people don’t realize that they are doing just that. Genetically modified crops constitute 93 percent of soy, 86 percent of corn and 93 percent of canola seeds planted in the U.S. and are used in about 70 percent of American processed food.

The Tribune went on to say that polls from the Pew Center, Consumers Union and Harris Interactive over the past decade have shown that the overwhelming majority of Americans would like to see genetically modified foods better-regulated and -labeled. Despite that, President Barack Obama’s administration has approved an “unprecedented number of genetically modified crops,” such as corn grown for ethanol.

The U.S. government is not the only entity boosting and greenlighting genetic engineering of our crops and foods. In 1963, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization adopted the Codex Alimentarius, the food code created by the Codex Alimentarius Commission, whose self-proclaimed mission was to protect health, remove trade obstacles and establish food guidelines. The commission now has 185 members, including the U.S.

Hundreds of guidelines have been adopted by the CAC, in areas ranging from additives to pesticides to, most recently, vitamin and mineral supplements. And this year, it is tackling the issue of whether to label genetically altered and engineered fruits and vegetables.

According to the Alliance for Natural Health, the natural health community has expressed concern about the CAC’s guidelines regarding supplements because of parts of the Codex’s preamble that “essentially discount the benefits from dietary supplements, and the fact that the scope of the Codex Guidelines includes developing minimum and maximum levels of vitamins and minerals.”

Though regulating those maximum levels is prohibited by U.S. policy — because dietary supplements are not categorized as drugs — it is one more sign that global governance of our foods is right around the corner. As if American households relinquishing their health and fitness habits to Washington weren’t enough, now the entire U.S. needs to be governed by a global food and drug administration?

U.S. food policy may not acquiesce to worldwide regulations tomorrow, but global control is a slippery slope that often is brought about through small steps, or so-called benign increments. The European Union already has enacted many universal food tenets into law. Could the U.S. be that far behind in this global age? In an era in which caving to international pressure is in vogue, how far behind are our food factories?

But does the U.S. really want foreign entities telling us how to eat, what vitamins to take, and how (not) to label U.S. food, now or in the distant future? I’ll say what I said in a previous article: The sooner we quit relinquishing our health and fitness responsibilities to the government and take control of our own lives the better off we’ll be.

Americans have a right to be concerned with international influence over labeling, marketing and masking the truths behind foods coming from abroad. Our health and welfare should not be turned over to foreign powers, lobbying groups, the Food and Drug Administration or the U.S. Department of Agriculture. If that were to happen, we could kiss goodbye the freedoms we’ve long enjoyed with dietary supplements and organic foods.

The added difficulty with genetic tampering and labels is that we know big business and lobbying often control the decisions in Washington. Recently, that was made evident again by the actions of the USDA. Despite the fact that tests prove that genetically engineered organisms become a part of the bacteria in our digestive tracts, the Alliance for Natural Health reported how the USDA now wants to eliminate any controls from genetically altered corn and cotton.

The ANH cited the wisdom of the late George Wald, a Nobel laureate in physiology or medicine and one of the first scientists to speak out about the dangers of genetically engineered foods:

Recombinant DNA technology (genetic engineering) faces our society with problems unprecedented, not only in the history of science, but of life on the Earth. … Now whole new proteins will be transposed overnight into wholly new associations, with consequences no one can foretell, either for the host organism or their neighbors. … For going ahead in this direction may not only be unwise but dangerous. Potentially, it could breed new animal and plant diseases, new sources of cancer, novel epidemics.”

Fourteen states have introduced legislation on genetically modified organism labeling, but most face governmental gridlock. So please, take action and keep foods safe (non-genetically engineered) by contacting your representatives, as well as the FDA and the USDA, and demanding that genetically modified food be labeled as such. In addition, corn and cotton must not be deregulated. Without strict controls, as the ANH concludes, genetically engineered crops will encroach on non-genetically engineered crops, contaminating them and rendering the organic crops non-organic.

The only real solution to prevent global food governance and our bodies from having to consume genetically altered foods is to mandate the proper labeling of all foods and to buy local and organic foods. By diminishing the supply of and demand for imported and genetically engineered foods, we can diminish their tyranny at the borders of our bodies…..

Cheap dates: How the ‘price’ of sex has dropped to record lows.

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

In today’s lousy economy, men can take comfort in knowing that there is one sought-after good that is becoming steadily more affordable: sex.

Regnerus likens the price of sex to the housing market. Too many foreclosures in one community, and the price of neighboring homes start to plummet. This is why single women in New York sometimes feel as though sex on the first date is a given: According to the market, it is.

“Every sex act is part of a ‘pricing’ of sex for subsequent relationships,” Regnerus said. “If sex has been very easy to get for a particular young man for many years and over the course of multiple relationships, what would eventually prompt him to pay a lot for it in the future — that is, committing to marry?”

Did you answer, “Love”? You’re adorable.

“Sexual strategies for making men ‘fall in love’ typically backfire, because men don’t often work like that,” Regnerus says.

The zoo keepers found an old sick dog on the grounds in the park at the zoo where the orangutan lived and took the dog to the animal treatment center.

Arizona Sheriff Fights Drug Cartels, but Whose Side is Obama On?

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Earlier today, I had the privilege of sitting down with National Sheriff of the Year Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu to discuss his reaction to Operation Fast and Furious and his ongoing fight against ruthless drug cartels. After our conversation, it became clear the Obama Administration is fighting him with lawsuits and by arming the very cartels he and his deputies are trying to combat in the Arizona desert.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is fighting what he describes as the most ruthless criminals in North America, on American soil in Southern Arizona. In his county, cartels use look-out posts, or “spotters,” to detect and move around law enforcement, and shootouts with cartels members are a normal occurrence.

“We still have these look-out posts, intelligence gathering locations where they sit on top of a mountain or in a cave. At least 100 of them just in one smuggling route throughout our county and we have multiple routes,” Babeu said. “How have we arrived to this point where this has become okay from the federal government’s perspective?”

Thought it couldn’t get any worse than Solyndra?

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

President Obama’s nominee for Commerce secretary served as chairman of the board of a solar energy company that recently received a $1.37 billion federal loan guarantee – the largest the Department of Energy has ever given for a solar power project.

Now that company, BrightSource Energy, is attempting to build the world’s largest solar power plant amid concerns such ventures may be too risky an investment for the federal government.

In June, BrightSource Chairman John Bryson was nominated by Obama to head the Commerce Department.

WND reported in June that Bryson co-founded an environmental activist group that is a member and funder of the controversial Apollo Alliance.

Read what we’ll need to accomplish to restore America to greatness.

Apollo is run by a slew of socialists and radicals, including Jeff Jones, a founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization. Jones himself boasts of doing work for the environmental group founded by Bryson, the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Bryson served until June as co-chairman of the Pacific Council on International Policy, a globalist organization whose members can be found throughout the Obama administration.

The massive loan guarantee to BrightSource is meant to build an expensive California desert solar plant known as the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System.

Racism? Depends Who’s Talking About It

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

…..The Black Congressional Caucus has been increasingly vocal regarding their unhappiness with President Obama. In remarks at its annual Phoenix Awards dinner on September 24, the President said, “I expect all of you to march with me and press on. Take off your slippers, put on your marching shoes. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, (and) stop crying.” It is hard to imagine a white President saying such things as Obama strove to rally his audience.

For anyone familiar with the history of race and politics in America, the loyalty of black Americans to the Democratic Party is astonishing. During the years of FDR’s New Deal, civil rights for blacks were not on the agenda. Even the years following World War Two when two million blacks served in a segregated military, the Democratic Party—especially in the “solid South”—opposed any civil rights legislation. It took the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963 to finally get a bill passed.

For my part, I think Obama has done incalculable harm to any current or future black candidate for the presidency. He had an opportunity to address the nation’s problems of unemployment and debt, and he gave all Americans, black, Hispanic, and white, more unemployment and debt. It’s unfair, but black candidates will likely have to work twice as hard to overcome his legacy.,,,MORE,,,,,

Again! Supremes asked to look into eligibility

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

The dispute over Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president erupted during the 2008 election campaign and featured among others a lawsuit filed on behalf of Ambassador Alan Keyes against California election officials who did not check whether Obama was eligibile. Now the 2012 campaign is charging ahead at full throttle, and the issue remains in the headlines.

That’s because the case was before the U.S. Supreme Court for a conference today. A conference is a meeting at which the justices decide which cases they will review. To date, none of the Obama eligibility challenges that have reached the high court have been accepted. It could be as long as a week or more before an announcement comes from the court.

Attorney Gary Kreep of the U.S. Justice Foundation is handling the case, and said, “If the U.S. Supreme court agrees to hear this case, and we pray that it will, it will send shock waves through the Washington political establishment. It will mean that the Supreme Court is going to follow the lead of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals justice who has publicly commented that this is an important constitutional issue.”

He continued, “We are awaiting the court’s decision.”

It was Judge Marsha Berzon of the 9th Circuit who commented during the oral arguments on the dispute that the issued appeared to be something of importance that needed to be resolved.

…..Not to steer off the road here, but has anyone been paying attention to Hillary Clinton? I have been waiting for one of the big talkers to say something, but none have. The face is a little less worn out looking and no so puffy. It is probably a combination of Botox and booze avoidance. The hairdo is getting longer and blonder. Just an observation.

There is only one potential candidate who has shown the independence and spine to take on the establishment. A candidate that is boldly and unapologetically conservative. Sarah Palin. The name that conservative pundits avoid like the plaque and the name that drives liberal pundits to move to Alaska and write silly books filled with unsupported gossip.

Here is my conspiratorial thought for the season. Around the time for the national release of “The Undefeated”, Sarah Palin will announce that she is in. When she wins the nomination, Obama will decide that he has been all that he can be. Unable to stand the thought of another woman becoming the first female president and with her new hairdo, all sobered up and Botoxed, Hillary will run to the rescue of the Democrat party. With of course a sacrificial challenge from Joe Biden. The most brutal political campaign in the history of our country will ensue. When the political Armageddon on the Potomac ends, America will be standing tall and proud or it will be over.””’

Border Wars Texas is Ground Zero (update) Texas Border Security Report

September 26, 2011 2 comments

“During the past two years, the state of Texas has become increasingly threatened by the spread of Mexican cartel organized crime,” the report concluded.

The report states six of the seven Mexican drug cartels have “command and control” operations in Texas cities.

“Texas has become critical terrain and operational ground zero in the cartel’s efforts to expand into the United States,” the report stated.

McCaffrey said the cartels are heavily recruiting Texas gang members to help insure the transportation of drugs into the United States and cash from the sale of drugs back into Mexico. McCaffrey said the Texas Department of Public Safety estimates at least 18,000 Texas gang members are already working for the cartels, and the number of prison gangs working with the cartels increased from four to twelve in the last year.

“That is an enemy division inside Texas that is armed and criminal in nature and fueled by drug money,” McCaffrey said.

Believing The Big Lie

September 26, 2011 1 comment

Misplaced Blame: The Democrats are setting up the Republicans to be the party responsible for a federal shutdown, should one occur. Of course the media will go along for the ride, just as in 1995 and 1996.

In the fall of 1995, the GOP Congress passed a continuing resolution spending bill to keep the federal government open. Bill Clinton vetoed it.

Polls, in some cases more than 2-1, showed the public blamed the subsequent shutdowns — one in November 1995, the other from Dec. 16, 1995 to Jan. 6, 1996 — on the Republicans. The fact that the public believed as it did is nearly inexplicable, since it was the GOP that passed the spending bill and a Democrat who vetoed it.

But there is an explanation. The media used its power to convince the public that somehow the man who rejected the legislation that would have kept the government running was not responsible for the shutdowns.

Sixteen years later, the possibility of another federal shutdown looms again.

With the fiscal year ending after Friday, (some) lawmakers are hoping a continuing resolution will keep the federal government running through Nov. 18.

Vietnam Vet In Wheelchair Gets $15 MILLION Reward For Busting Medicaid Fraud !

September 26, 2011 1 comment

A frail but feisty, partially paralyzed wheelchair-bound Vietnam vet scored a $15 million whistelblower’s reward after uncovering a massive Medicaid fraud scheme — with the help of his trusty calculator.

“From my wheelchair, on a ventilator and oxygen, I have spent the last seven years in this fight. Sometimes, the good guy wins,’’ said plucky Richard West, 63, of Tuckerton, NJ.

The savvy senior said he first smelled a rat when he went to the dentist in 2004 — and was told his Medicaid benefits had maxed out.

West returned home and scoured his own, meticulously kept records, discovering that Maxim Healthcare — the agency that provides his home-health aides — had billed Uncle Sam for care he never got, including coverage by nurses he’d never met.

Maxim — which has 300 offices in 40 states, including New York — was eventually busted for netting a total of $61 million in phony reimbursements.

Under terms of a deal unveiled this week, Maxim, which is partly owned by Baltimore Ravens owner Stephen Bisciotti, agreed to fork over $121.5 million in reimbursements and penalties for the phony Medicaid claims and another $8.4 million to the Veterans Administration.

The Maryland-based company was also slapped with a $20 million fine. The feds added that they will be overseeing its operations for two years.

Under federal law, Richard West was entitled to a percentage of the payback the company was ordered to fork over.

Of his newfound millions, the disabled vet, who’s on a portable ventilator, said he plans to spend it wisely.

“I need a new van, my house needs work, and I’m going to make donations to charities for the disabled,” West said.

Maxim CEO Brad Bennett was contrite in a statement, saying: “We take full responsibility for these events.”

U.S. Government Used Taxpayer Funds to Buy, Sell Weapons During ‘Fast and Furious,’ Documents Show

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Not only did U.S. officials approve, allow and assist in the sale of more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa cartel — the federal government used taxpayer money to buy semi-automatic weapons, sold them to criminals and then watched as the guns disappeared.

This disclosure, revealed in documents obtained by Fox News, could undermine the Department of Justice’s previous defense that Operation Fast and Furious was a “botched” operation where agents simply “lost track” of weapons as they were transferred from one illegal buyer to another. Instead, it heightens the culpability of the federal government as Mexico, according to sources, has opened two criminal investigations into the operation that flooded their country with illegal weapons.

Operation Fast and Furious began in October 2009. In it, federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives encouraged gun stores to sell weapons to an arms smuggling gang, then watched as the guns crossed the border and were used in crimes. Each month, the agency allowed hundreds of guns to go South, despite opposition from some agents.

All told, the gang spent more than $1.25 million for the illegal guns.

Your Supplements Are Under Attack: Time to Fight Back!

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

A few weeks ago, I wrote to you about the FDA’s proposed new policy on dietary supplements that could make it impossible or very expensive for you to purchase the natural products you rely on to support your health. The open comment period on the FDA’s proposed guidelines ends on September 30, so NOW is the time to act and let your voice be heard if you want to retain your right to access supplements. (Scroll down to the bottom of this article to learn how you can get involved.)

If the FDA has its way, all vitamins, herbs and other dietary supplements will soon be classified in the same manner as unapproved drugs and synthetic food additives. The results of this change in classification could be disastrous for both natural health consumers and the natural health industry. Resveratrol, CoQ10, curcumin and even many multivitamins could be pulled from the market, and those that remain available may become so expensive that many people won’t be able to afford them. Supplement companies that cannot afford to put their products through the FDA’s intensive, burdensome drug trial process may be forced out of business, leaving room for pharmaceutical companies to swoop in and profit at your expense.

You know that Big Pharma is surely working hard behind the scenes to make sure that this law is passed, and that they carry incredible influence with the FDA and the government in general. This means that we all need to work together and use the power of the people to stop this from happening. Unless we stop these new guidelines from going in to effect, we stand to lose our right to access the natural healing tools that many of us depend on as alternatives to expensive and often dangerous pharmaceutical drugs.

Ron Paul is Half a Step from First Place

September 26, 2011 1 comment

11

A straw poll over the weekend shows that Rick Perry is losing it. The wheels are coming off his effort to take the GOP nomination and go up against Obama next year.

Once again, the establishment is unable to count — Ron Paul is a front-runner.

Perry threw his resources into the Florida straw poll last week after the battering he took during the most recent debate. The poll was won by Herman Cain, the former head of the chain Godfather’s Pizza, who has so far trailed most of the other candidates.

Following the debate, many so-called conservatives say they now support Mitt Romney. On Sunday, Romney beat Perry in a poll held in Michigan, the the former Massachusetts governor’s native state.

In an effort to regain the momentum, Perry’s camp has released a new video criticizing Romney’s support of national healthcare.

Jostling between the two candidates is pure theater for pubic consumption. Both are creations of the establishment and stand solidly behind the globalist agenda.

Romney is a Republican version of Obama — his mandatory health care legislation in Massachusetts served as the template for Obamacare – while Perry has been cast as the Tea Party candidate (after Republican operatives co-opted the movement and purged it of Libertarians and other unacceptable elements).

Perry’s support for the globalist agenda reveals he is anything but a true Tea Party candidate.

“While spewing Tea Party-style rhetoric about secession, shooting coyotes and courting the favor of Christian evangelicals, behind closed doors Perry has been quietly selling out Texas to globalist interests, auctioning off highways to foreign companies to turn them into profit-driven toll roads,” Paul Joseph Watson wrote prior to Perry’s official announcement.

Perry later took us for fools when he insisted he opposes the globalist superhighway in Texas.

In addition to working to turn Texas into a refuge for illegal immigrants, Perry aggressively promoted the Rockefeller Foundation-backed HPV vaccination campaign in Texas that has led to deaths worldwide.

Perry was considered the front-runner of choice because the elite wanted it that way. In 2007, he sojourned to Istanbul to attend the annual Bilderberg meeting. Bill Clinton did likewise before he was catapulted to the presidency for two terms.

“Speculation that Perry is the Bilderberg group’s ace card was prompted by the current political climate, which can largely be gleaned from the fact that Perry is a longtime, unwavering supporter of the NAFTA Superhighway and related infrastructure projects,” Bilderberg sleuth Jim Tucker wrote in June. “These pave the way for the Bilderberg-supported North American Union (NAU) proposal that would merge the U.S., Canada and Mexico.”

Romney has dispensed with the fake Tea Party rhetoric so popular with a number of establishment Republicans. He is basically an Obama clone. He has promised to make sure expensive entitlement programs remain untouchable (in an effort to swoon older voters) and said if elected he would allow the Federal Reserve to continue its rape and plunder of the country.

It should be obvious by now that there is only one candidate who is not a globalist stooge – Ron Paul, the candidate consistently ignored, underplayed and derided by the establishment and its corporate media.

A Rasmussen poll released on Sunday puts Paul in third place, although straw polls have put him in first and he remains a favorite of voters tired of establishment-rigged campaign seasons and elections and globalist-corporatist business as usual in Washington. It is a major embarrassment that he continues to win the establishment’s own straw polls at CPAC.

A poll conducted prior to the Rasmussen poll by Suffolk University/7News put Ron Paul in second place.

Despite this, CNN, Fox News and the rest of the alphabet false right-left paradigm corporate media continue to insist Ron Paul has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination.

Alex Jones: The rise and fall of Rick Perry, see the rest at the Alex Jones Channel.

During the last Fox debate, Paul was cheated out of time and ranked at the bottom. Romney was afforded over 12 minutes while Ron Paul was allowed to speak for a mere four and a half minutes. Rick Santorum – who isn’t even a serious candidate now – was given nearly twice that amount of time.

The only thing that stands between Ron Paul, the nomination, and the will of the people is the establishment and its dinosaur media. He is half a step away from the nomination.

Regardless of all the efforts by the establishment to ignore Paul and derail his campaign, his consistent strong showing makes it obvious he is the candidate that should go up against Obama.

Herman Cain to meet with Donald Trump (What the heck is this, the Presidential Apprentice?)

Businessman Herman Cain is the next Republican presidential candidate in line to meet with business magnate Donald Trump.

“Yes, it’s true,” Cain tweeted Monday. “@THEHermanCain will sit down with @realdonaldtrump in NYC on October 3.”

According to Trump, all of the GOP candidates have reached out to him for his support in their presidential campaigns. Cain, fresh off a high-profile straw poll win in Florida over the weekend, is the latest member of the field slated for a meeting with Trump.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry met with Trump in New York City two weeks ago and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney had a meeting with Trump planned for Monday afternoon. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) reportedly met with Trump earlier this year.

Trump has said he is still considering jumping into the race as a candidate himself and could run as an independent if he doesn’t like the eventual nominee.

Superman vs. Warm Body (Thomas Sowell)

September 26, 2011 1 comment

One of the problems in trying to select a leader for any large organization or institution is the tendency to start out looking for Superman, passing up many good people who fail to meet that standard, and eventually ending up settling for a warm body.

Some Republicans seem to be longing for another Ronald Reagan. Good luck on that one, unless you are prepared to wait for several generations. Moreover, even Ronald Reagan himself did not always act like Ronald Reagan.

The current outbreak of “gotcha” attacks on Texas Governor Rick Perry show one of the other pitfalls for those who are trying to pick a national leader. The three big sound-bite issues used against him during the TV “debates” have involved Social Security, immigration and a vaccine against cervical cancer.

Where these three issues have been discussed at length, whether in a few media accounts or in Governor Perry’s own more extended discussions in an interview on Sean Hannity‘s program, his position was far more reasonable than it appeared to be in either his opponents’ sound bites or even in his own abbreviated accounts during the limited time available in the TV “debate” format.

On Social Security, Governor Perry was not only right to call it a “Ponzi scheme,” but was also right to point out that this did not mean welshing on the government’s obligation to continue paying retirees what they had been promised.

Even those of us who still disagree with particular decisions made by Governor Perry can see some of those decisions as simply the errors of a decent man who realized that he was faced not with a theory but with a situation.

For example, the ability to save young people from cervical cancer with a stroke of a pen was a temptation that any decent and humane individual would find hard to resist, even if Governor Perry himself now admits to second thoughts about how it was done.

Many of us can agree with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann‘s contention that it should have been done differently. But it reflects no credit on her to have tried to scare people with claims about the dangers of vaccination. Such scares have already cost the lives of children who have died on both sides of the Atlantic from diseases that vaccination would have prevented.

The biggest mischaracterization of Governor Perry’s position has been on immigration. The fact that he has more confidence in putting “boots on the ground” along the border, instead of relying on a fence that can be climbed over or tunneled under where there is no one around, is a logistical judgment, not a question of being against border control.

Texas Rangers have already been put along the border to guard the border where the federal government has failed to guard it. Former Senator Rick Santorum‘s sound-bite attempts to paint Governor Perry as soft on border control have apparently been politically successful, judging by polls. But his repeated interrupting of Perry’s presentation of his case during the recent debate is the kind of cheap political trick that contributes nothing to public understanding and much to public misunderstanding.

Those of us who disagree with Governor Perry’s decision to allow the children of illegal immigrants to attend the state colleges and universities, under the same terms as Texas citizens, need at least to understand what his options were. These were children who were here only because of their parents’ decisions and who had graduated from a Texas high school.

Governor Perry saw the issue as whether these children should now be allowed to continue their education, and become self-supporting taxpayers, or whether Texas would be better off with a higher risk of those young people becoming dependents or worse. I still see Governor Perry’s decision as an error, but the kind of error that a decent and humane individual would be tempted to make.

I have far more questions about those who would blow this error up into something that it is not. Error-free leaders don’t exist — and we don’t want to end up settling for a warm body.

Ultimately, this is not about Governor Perry. It is about a process that can destroy any potential leader, even when the country needs a new leader with a character that the “gotcha” attackers demonstrate they do not have.

Secret Service Agent-Turned Senate Hopeful: ‘I Like the President,’ but ‘Policies Just Wrong’

After more than a decade protecting presidents with the Secret Service, Daniel Bongino is currently running against the policies that the most recent president he worked under – President Obama – has moved along.

Bongino, who quit his job with the Secret Service in May to run for the Senate as a Republican in Maryland, told us on ABC’s “Top Line” today that it’s nothing personal.

“I like the president a lot personally. We had a good relationship. He was a wonderful man to me, and this is not any kind of a personal gripe,” Bongino said.

“It’s strictly a political, ideological difference. His policies I think are just wrong. We’re headed down a path I don’t think we want to go down.”

Bongino would become the first former Secret Service agent to serve in Congress. And his reason for running sounds similar to the rationale given by dozens if not hundreds of first-time candidates over the last few years.

Before I get to the items missed for today, I would make a comment about Hermann Cain’s “big” win in the Florida Straw poll.

Electing Cain would be like putting the fox in the hen house.

Cain is a former deputy chairman (1992-94) and chairman (1995-96) of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He knows nothing except the poison of fiat currency. Cain also stated on his radio show that the “FED” should not be audited. I don’t know if he’s received enough heat to change his mind. I wouldn’t hire someone who worked for my enemy.

His 9-9-9 proposal is more rubbish.

9% corporate tax, 9% income tax and 9% national sales tax which would finally kill off our economy although it’s just about DOA anyway.

Is The U.S. Government Stockpiling Food In Anticipation Of A Major Economic Crisis?

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Is the U.S. government stockpiling huge amounts of food and supplies in anticipation that something bad is about to happen? Is something about to cause a major economic crisis that will require large quantities of emergency food? For a while, I have been hearing things about the government storing food through the grapevine and I have not been sure what to think about those rumors.

Well, today I received a phone call that blew me away. I debated for quite a while before I decided whether or not to share this information with you all. Normally I do not like to talk about anything unless I am able to prove it by pointing to an article in the mainstream media. But the source of the information that I am about to share with you is rock solid. I cannot reveal his name, so you will just have to trust me on that. The Virtue of “Quitting”

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

One of the constant smears leveled at Sarah Palin is that she “quit” her office as Governor of Alaska. The word “quit” is used in the form of a smear, in order to paint her as less-than-committed, but the truth of the matter is that in resigning her post, what she actually did was a magnificently honorable act, rarely done in politics. How many times have you wondered if Barack Obama shouldn’t simply do the honorable thing in the name of the country, and step aside? The problem is that would still leave you with President Joe Biden, so it would not offer much relief. More importantly, however, we must consider the nature of the alleged “quitting” and why Governor Palin left her office early. She wasn’t hounded from office, or anything of the sort, except that what tore at her was the fact that each day she remained, costs were being inflicted on the people of her state, counted in all the wasted dollars spent handling the various FOIA requests, and all the bottled-up legislative work that hung in the balance. Governor Palin could have stuck it out, but what would have been the cost to the State and the People of Alaska? We’ve had numerous politicians under fire for actual wrong-doing who wouldn’t resign, relying upon tax-payers to bear the costs of their defense…………….MORE………

Obama Proposes Adding ‘Unemployed’ to Protected Status

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

President Obama has not been particularly successful in fostering the creation of jobs. But he thinks he has found a way to pry open doors in the workplace for many of the unemployed, especially those who have been out of work for a long time.

Mr. Obama’s jobs bill would prohibit employers from discriminating against job applicants because they are unemployed.

Under the proposal, it would be “an unlawful employment practice” if a business with 15 or more employees refused to hire a person “because of the individual’s status as unemployed.”

Unsuccessful job applicants could sue and recover damages for violations, just like when an employer discriminates on the basis of a person’s race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

White House officials see discrimination against the unemployed as a serious problem. In a radio interview last month, Mr. Obama said such discrimination made “absolutely no sense,” especially at a time when many people, through no fault of their own, had been laid off.

Mr. Obama’s proposal would also prohibit employment agencies and Web sites from carrying advertisements for job openings that exclude people who are unemployed. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has received reports of such advertisements but does not have data to show how common they are.

Republicans and some employers criticized the White House proposal. They said that discrimination was not common and that the proposed remedy could expose employers to a barrage of lawsuits.

“We do not see a need for it,” said Michael J. Eastman, executive director of labor law policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Already, Mr. Eastman said, the Civil Rights Act outlaws employment practices that have “a disparate impact on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin,”

Ailes: Palin Was a ‘Branding Issue’

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Could Fox News be moving away from the right? As the Tea Party’s popularity fades and the country grows increasingly tired of partisan bickering, Fox News chief Roger Ailes is making what he calls a “course correction.” Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin “became a bit of a branding issue for us,” he tells Howard Kurtz in Newsweek. Republican candidates still consult Ailes: when Rick Perry was still weighing a presidential bid, he stopped by Ailes’s office and confided he was worried about being able to raise money, and Mitt Romney took Ailes out for a pasta dinner. But Ailes also engineered the Republican primary debate for maximum reality-television conflict, aiming tough questions geared toward the weaknesses of each candidate and prompting them to tear into each other.

FEMA money may last until Friday

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

The Federal Emergency Management Agency may have enough money to last until the end of the week, raising the possibility that Congress could avert a government shutdown by end of the day on Friday, according to Senate officials familiar with the matter.

FEMA officials have not yet commented on the matter, but three Senate officials told POLITICO that the agency signaled to Congress that its depleted funds could last through Thursday, and possibly Friday, which coincides with the end of the current fiscal year. FEMA was initially projected to run out of money as early as Tuesday.

Barack Obama Has

Awakened A Sleeping Nation

By Gary Hubbell

Aspen Times Weekly

4-7-10

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America’s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Authentically Black!

The answer to the question: what is Herman Cain and not Barack Obama?

In 2008 the Democrats nominated their version of a “black man:” a Harvard grad born in Hawaii to a white woman, and raised by his white grandmother. He was their “great black hope” … in the words of Joe Biden: “clean and articulate.” A chimera, a foolish fantasy, who’s primary tool for advancement is acting as a blank screen for weak minded people who wanted to see their own desires reflected back at them.

Stepping straight out of the pages of GQ Magazine, with a brilliant smile and perfectly creased pants, he made a thrill run up their legs. He was the made-for-media candidate complete with Hollywood sets, fake Styrofoam columns and fainting fans. In the other corner you had a fading war hero whose primary constituency, the MSM, enlisted in Obama’s army. It’s not really fair to say they abandoned McCain because their support was always intended to make him the Republican candidate and then to eviscerated him during the election. McCain, not the sharpest tool in the shed, never knew what hit him.

Dissatisfaction With Government Reaches All Time High

An all time high of 69% also say they have little or no confidence in the legislative branch of government, with a record 57% adding that they have little or no confidence in the federal government to solve domestic problems, and a high of 53% saying they have little or no confidence in their elected officials.

The reason for such negativity amongst the American people is quite clear. The government simply does not listen to or act in the public interest.

Another interesting Gallup poll finds that the majority of Americans rate Obama as the same or even worse when compared with George W. Bush. 22% see no difference between the two, while 34% believe Obama has been an even worse president than Bush was.

Half of all respondents said that Obama compares less favorably to Bill Clinton, with just 12% believing he has been a better president for the country.

The Federal Reserve Plans To Identify “Key Bloggers” And Monitor Billions Of Conversations Federal Reserve Big Brother

The Federal Reserve wants to know what you are saying about it.  In fact, the Federal Reserve has announced plans to identify “key bloggers” and to monitor “billions of conversations” about the Fed on Facebook, Twitter, forums and blogs.

This is yet another sign that the alternative media is having a dramatic impact.  As first reported on Zero Hedge, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has issued a “Request for Proposal” to suppliers who may be interested in participating in the development of a “Sentiment Analysis And Social Media Monitoring Solution”.

In other words, the Federal Reserve wants to develop a highly sophisticated system that will gather everything that you and I say about the Federal Reserve on the Internet and that will analyze what our feelings about the Fed are.

Obviously, any “positive” feelings about the Fed would not be a problem.  What they really want to do is to gather information on everyone that views the Federal Reserve negatively.  It is unclear how they plan to use this information once they have it, but considering how many alternative media sources have been shut down lately, this is obviously a very troubling sign……

Blogger Tech Says Activist Post Taken Down by “Automated Process”

September 26, 2011 1 comment

Blogger censorship is nothing new. The blogging platform owned by Google has a history of taking out blogs and websites it does not like or that are uncomfortable for the establishment.

Google worked closely with the authoritarian government in China to censor the internet. It’s video platform Youtube continually receives complaints that it removes controversial videos, especially politically controversial videos.

So it came as no surprise when the popular political website Activist Post suddenly disappeared and it turned out that Blogger had pulled the plug. It was eventually restored after a ground swell of complaints and criticism.

It is now a familiar pattern. A site suddenly disappears without explanation and after a couple days of news coverage it reappears. Blogger’s explanation for the Activist Post takedown – technical issues. Google has offered the same explanation after it has restored videos at Youtube.

Google usually backs down if the outrage is vocal and public enough, as it was in the case of the Activist Post takedown. Less popular sites that offend the elite and Google – a documented…..

The Hill: Perry To Drop Out, Ron Paul To Be Romney’s Rival

Congressman is Republican’s only chance of success against Obama

Paul Joseph Watson

Infowars.com

Monday, September 26, 2011

The implosion of Rick Perry’s presidential campaign has opened the door for Congressman Ron Paul to move up into second place and go head to head with Mitt Romney – that the prediction from The Hill, one of Washington’s most respected political newspapers.

The Hill: Perry To Drop Out, Ron Paul To Be Romneys Rival 5252589063 romneyPaul xlarge

Alex Jones explained why the momentum behind Ron Paul’s campaign has him firmly challenging as a top tier candidate on the Sunday show, and it’s a view increasingly being acknowledged by even mainstream political commentators.

Writing for The Hill, Capitol Hill’s most widely circulated newspaper, Brent Budowsky sounds the death knell for Rick Perry’s campaign.

“I wrote in August that Rick Perry will self- destruct within 30 days. His prospects for the presidency were as phony as the fantasy of a two-person race was false. Perry is a phony conservative who is not conservative. He is a pay-for-play politician who gobbled up Obama stimulus like a hound dog eating a bone, and created oceans of new government jobs in Texas while his big donors mysteriously received big government contracts. The Texas deficit ballooned and the Texas jobless rate doubled on Rick Perry’s watch,” writes Budowsky.

“I will not speculate about the reasons for Rick Perry’ s strange, weird and incoherent debate performance. Major new negative stories about Perry will soon emerge in the media. Trust me. Perry will drop out long before the year ends. If he dropped out today Ron Paul could well be in second place. Will pundits say it is a two-man race between Romney and Paul?”

* A d v e r t i s e m e n t

*

As we have documented, the only thing standing between Paul and Romney is an admitted establishment media strategy to ignore the very existence of the Congressman’s campaign. Now that this hoax is quickly dissolving, Paul is set to be provided with the perfect platform from which to launch an assault on Romney’s lead in the national polls.

An an establishment RINO Republican, someone who has pushed big government policies equally as horrendous as anything Obama ever did, Romney’s chances of defeating the President are negligible. If he wins the Republican candidacy, Romney will only energize the hordes of Obamanoids to re-emerge and return Obama to the White House.

The same goes for Sarah Palin if she ever gets around to throwing her hat in the ring. Even aside from damaging recent revelations about her private life, Obama’s slick talk would absolutely cream Palin in the presidential debates and she would become a nationwide laughing stock overnight.

Polls have shown that while establishment Republicans have all lost popular approval at a similar pace to Obama, Ron Paul already has the numbers to be within striking distance of defeating Obama in a head to head run off – and that’s before he’s even been afforded one half of the national platform the media has bestowed upon Perry and Romney.

Once Ron Paul’s message is allowed to be heard, he will absolutely trounce Obama.

Only Ron Paul offers enough of an alternative to four more years of Obama to give the Republicans a chance of any success in 2012. Only Ron Paul’s solutions for returning America to sound money principles can begin to reverse decades of Republicans and Democrats allowing the nation’s economic base to be disastrously undermined.

Why An Income Tax is NOT Necessary to Fund the U.S. Government

Can this statement possibly be true? In order to answer this question, Americans must first understand what is the source of the money that funds the government and where it goes. Contrary to the sound bites issued by the two mainstream political parties, the reality of how the system actually works will not only open your eyes, but hopefully stimulate the American people to demand that the thievery underway come to an end.

Where do your “income” tax dollars go?

The best place to look for an answer to this question would be a government report, so let’s take just one at random:………..

A short statement under the summary section of the president’s profile summons the more-than-just-one-man ethos the Obama team promoted in late 2008 and 2009, which appears to be when the profile was last updated.

“The administration can’t only be about me,” the blurb says. “It must be about us — it must be about what we can do together. It is about reclaiming the meaning of citizenship, restoring our sense of common purpose, and realizing that few obstacles can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change.”

Below that paragraph, the president’s areas of “expertise” are listed.

“I have worked to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how their tax dollars are spent.

Are students that promote the black panther ideology and the Office of Diversity in league together at the University of Minnesota – Duluth (UMD)?

It would would appear so in the video below. The events took place last week as one young man, Phil Cleary, handed out pocket Constitutions on campus in honor of Constitution Day. He had a table with literature promoting Youth for Western Civilization, a group dedicated to traditional values and western civilization, and engaged in students and faculty passing by.

Then, the leftists showed up to heckle.

The young man in the video, Blair Jordon Moses, threatened to “exercise” his 2nd amendment rights if he perceived that there was any kind of threat to the Multicultural Center. He did not define what a threat would constitute but suggested that the existence of the group Youth for Western Civilization would count.

Blair was wearing a pin on his jacket picturing Huey P. Newton carying a gun. For those of you who don’t know, Newton was a founder of the Black Panthers. The Black Panthers is a violent and ethnocentric organization that promotes racial divides and anti-American rhetoric.

Why these presidential debates aren’t serious (Maximum style, minimum substance)

These events are supposed to be about quality information, raising the bar, and producing a thoughtful, informed electorate. But they are being produced to provide entertainment, and we are barely getting that.

Technology doesn’t take the place of substance. YouTube and real-time polling are not substitutes for thoughtful, provocative questioning.

Can it really be, after all the heat he has taken on Social Security, that Rick Perry was not pushed on how specifically how he would reform it?

Can it be, as expert after expert has laid out the long list of failures of Romneycare in Massachusetts and its unquestionable similarities to Obamacare, that Mitt Romney was not called out on his sidestepping and denials?

Can it be that, on a day where the stock market in our country dropped 3.5 percent and in China by 5 percent, that candidates were not asked what they think is wrong with the global economy?

Can it be that, when many experts agree that government meddling in housing and mortgages was central to the recent financial collapse, there has not been a single question on why Fannie and Freddie are still standing, propped up by government, and untouched?

Why, when everyone knows that Rick Santorum is a social conservative, would the question on “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy in the military be directed at him? His answer was a surprise to no one. Why wasn’t Romney the one questioned on this?

Why, instead of wasting time on stupid questions like “Who on this stage would you choose as your vice president?” would the question not be asked “Who is your favorite justice on the Supreme Court”?

Both Romney and Michele Bachmann have said they will repeal Obamacare on day one. Shouldn’t someone ask what happens on day two? What would they do to fix our health care system, which clearly has problems?

With all the focus on Social Security, policy experts generally agree that the problems of Medicare are much bigger and more complex. Yet, there has not been a single question about how to reform Medicare.

But perhaps even more fundamentally, the cable sponsors of these events have failed grotesquely to bring out the fault lines that divide these Republican candidates and the Republican Party.

Where are these candidates on Roe v. Wade and the role of law in protecting unborn lives?

Where are these candidates on preservation on the integrity of traditional marriage?

With all the talk about states’ rights, why are there no questions about the appropriateness of a federal court overturning a popular vote in the state of California — Proposition 8 — to preserve the traditional definition of marriage in their state?

Or the denial of the District of Columbia government to even allow a vote of its residents on this issue before declaring same-sex marriage legal?

Does the collapse of the traditional family in America — something undeniably happening as we rapidly approach having half of our children born to unwed mothers — even matter? Should candidates not be forced to weigh in on this?

The downward spiral into an exclusively technocratic discussion about the economy — like we’re all laboratory mice in a box with politicians pushing the buttons — obfuscates key differences between these Republican candidates and the two parties.

It is a symptom of the big problems of our country that we appear incapable of having presidential debates with serious questions.

Great news: Obama tax hike plan derailing supercommittee talks

September 26, 2011 1 comment

Presidents are never irrelevant, unless they choose to make themselves so. And even when a President starts spouting tax policy that the opposition party in the House absolutely rejects, as well as a significant portion of his own party in the Senate, he carries quite a bit of weight. In fact, it can start resembling an anchor:

As if expectations were not low enough for the special Congressional committee charged with writing a deficit-reduction deal, they seem to be falling by the day as the two parties harden their positions on spending and taxes.

Last week began with contradictory markers from President Obama and Speaker John A. Boehner. Mr. Boehner reiterated that Republicans would oppose any tax increases, and then Mr. Obama, newly aggressive, warned that he would veto any measure that would trim Medicare benefits without also raising taxes on the wealthy. …

Against that backdrop, few in Washington see a politically realistic way for the 12 members of the joint House-Senate deficit committee, six from each party, to meet their mandate to identify at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reductions over 10 years. People in both parties worry that the panel, which plans to meet privately this week, could fall far short of that goal or deadlock altogether, with potentially damaging economic consequences.

Remember the heady days of “hope and change”? That was Obama’s argument that only he could change the way Washington worked as an outsider with few obligations to the Establishment. How voters bought that notion from a Chicago Machine politician is a matter for future psychiatrists and comedians, but Obama’s jerk to the Left and the embrace of old class-warfare arguments and policies appear to have derailed any serious attempt to curtail deficits, at least for the short term.

In order to avoid the disastrous cuts to defense spending, it’s likely that John Boehner would have had to accept some “revenue increases” in exchange for discretionary spending cuts, and Democrats would have had to absorb more cuts than they wanted to protect Medicare. The deal cut in August put those onerous consequences of failure on the backs of both parties in order to encourage an everyone-hates-it-equally deal in November. Thanks to Obama’s grandstanding, Boehner can’t back down on revenue increases, and Harry Reid can’t give way on any significant cuts other than the phantom cuts outlined in Obama’s plan, without either giving the appearance of having caved in the negotiations.

Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) rightly notes that Obama had another path open to him — comprehensive tax reform rather than class-warfare attacks on the wealthy. Comprehensive tax reform could raise revenue by broadening the tax base while lowering the rates by flattening the personal and corporate tax codes, giving both sides political wins. Boehner even offered revenue increases of $800 billion over ten years with this strategy in mid-summer.

Instead of reaching across the aisle, Obama derailed the negotiations then, and he’s derailing them now by insisting on raising taxes as a recession approaches — or perhaps has already arrived. That’s neither hope nor change, but demagoguery and obstructionism.

An Appointment You Will Keep….Regardless

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the JUDGMENT” Hebrews 9:27

You may do all in your power to put the thought of death away from you. However, you cannot escape the fact that you must die. You KNOW that you must die and face God. Maybe the reason you are reluctant to think about death is that you also know that judgment follows death as surely as night follows day. I an seriousness, could I possibly press a more sensible or important question upon you than this — What is going to happen to you when you die?

Conscience, common sense, and the Bible all declare to you that there is an eternity that you must face. As you read these lines, you know I speak the truth. You know the above text of Scripture is as true as can be. If you and I were talking over a cup of coffee, you might grin and say, “Ah com on John, you are just trying to scare me.” However, as you think about the words DEATH…JUDGMENT…ALL MEN, your “heart of hearts” deep inside of you is saying to you this very moment, “Sure, man, he’s telling it like it really is. I must die and face God my Creator.”

If Only the Republican Had Won in 2008 by Jim Cox:

Republican pundits such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Neal Boortz properly lament what a disaster Democrat Barack Obama has been as president. Oh, if only the voters had selected the Republican nominee in November 2008 just think of where we’d be today!

So what would John McCain have done had he been elected and sworn in January 2009? We know both Obama and McCain supported the bailouts to Wall Street in the Fall of 2008. In fact, McCain supported the bailout to the point of actually suspending his campaign to emphasize its importance! Nothing different there.

Obama gave us the stimulus of 2009 – American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – as an effort to revive the weakened economy. McCain’s position? Well, he did actually vote Nay, knowing the bill would pass the Senate safely. Given McCain’s history on such things it is almost certain that had he been president he, like Obama, would have sought a stimulus bill rather than letting the market sort things out.

Obama reneged on his campaign promises of…………..

Reality Dawning by Chris Sullivan:

Many years ago, a group of disgruntled patriots, nationalists or terrorists – depending on your perspective – went into the Capitol building in D.C. and shot five congressmen. The assailants were four Puerto Rican nationalists who unfurled a flag of Puerto Rico and then fired thirty shots into the floor of the chamber. This incident happened on March 1, 1954.

As far as I know, nobody tried to claim that these people committed this act for anything other than political reasons or that “they hate us for our freedom.” One of the shooters supposedly shouted “Free Puerto Rico.”

There was no talk of “3/1 changed everything.” Everybody probably understood that the shooters wanted the US out of Puerto Rico. If someone had inquired as to why the assailants shot the congressmen, they wouldn’t have been accused of “trying to justify the terrorists,” it would have been recognized as a simple inquiry as to motive.

The same thing is true of the World Trade Center/Pentagon caper, but the public is discouraged from believing the perpetrators. Soon after the attack, Osama Bin Laden appeared in a video tape wearing his US issued Goretex camouflage jacket saying that he had nothing to do with the attack, but that he…………………..

Environmentalists Clobber Texas by Murray N. Rothbard

September 26, 2011 1 comment

We all know how the environmentalists, seemingly determined at all costs to save the spotted owl, delivered a crippling blow to the logging industry in the North west. But this slap at the economy may be trivial compared to what might happen to the lovely city of San Antonio, Texas, endangered by the deadly and despotic combination of the environmentalist movement and the federal judiciary.

The sole source of water for the 900,000-resident city, as well as the large surrounding area, is the giant Edwards Aquifer, an underground river or lake (the question is controversial) that spans five counties. Competing for the water, along with San Antonio and the farms and ranches of the area, are two springs, the Comal and the Aquarena on the San Marcos River, which are becoming tourist attractions. In May 1991, the Sierra Club, along with the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, which controls the two springs, filed a suit in federal court, invoking the Endangered Species Act. It seems that, in case of a drought, any cessation of water flow to the two springs would endanger four obscure species of vegetables or animals fed by the springs: the Texas blind salamander; Texas wild rice; and two tiny brands of fish: the fountain darter, and the San Marcos gambusia.

On February 1, 1993, federal district judge Lucius Bunton, in Midland, Texas, handed down his ruling in favor of the Sierra Club; in case of drought, no matter the shortage of water hitting San Antonio, there will have to be enough water flowing from

IS IT ANY WONDER THAT AMERICANS HAVE NO WORK?

by 82ndSgt, blogging at The Right Planet, 2011

Clinton signs NAFTA

(Sep. 26, 2011) — Ever since the 90s jobs have been flowing overseas. At first, telecenter work was outsourced, and workers were callously asked to train their replacements in India. In some cases severance pay was used as leverage to compel American workers to train their replacements.

Why pay an American $15 per hour when you can pay someone from India $3 per hour? The telecenters were first because -let’s face it- telecenters are fairly inexpensive to shut down in one place, and set up elsewhere. It was an easy way for corporations to cut costs. When this began to happen, no one really complained except those who were losing their jobs, and anyone calling customer service and encountering a thick accent (“could you repeat that please, Sajwat”?).

Corporations were thoroughly enjoying NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and other ludicrous trade deals as they saw their expenses drop and their profits rise.

Then the computer programming jobs began to be outsourced -again to India- but still lawmakers failed to see the fallacy of their globalist vision……………..

Washington reinterprets constitutional eligibility

Washington reinterprets constitutional eligibility

Washington reinterprets constitutional eligibility:

A Guyana-born naturalized American citizen fits the Federal Elections Commission‘s requirements to run for president, the FEC announced in a ruling.

The case involves New York lawyer Abdul Hassan, who was born in the South American country in 1974. Hassan argues it is discriminatory to not allow him to run for office.

Responding to criticism of possible dual-loyalty issues, Hassan said in a radio interview that a person’s place of birth should not determine his patriotism or presidential eligibility.

“I am an attorney,” he said. “When I undertake the representation of a client, I have to act in the best interests of my client,” Hassan stated on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s WABC Radio.

Autographed copies of Jerome Corsi‘s “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” are available only from the WND Superstore

Continued Hassan: “If I represent someone in my community … and I undertake your representation, I owe you 100 percent loyalty and my duty is solely to protect and to advance your interests.”

“It would be no different if I were to be president of the United States,” he contended. “If I believe that I cannot act in the best interests, I wouldn’t be doing this.”…………..

Why Are Rick Perry And Mitt Romney Getting About Twice As Much Talking Time?

Why Are Rick Perry And Mitt Romney Getting About Twice As Much Talking Time? romney perry

Considering the fact that no real votes will be cast until next year and considering the fact that the polls are constantly changing, shouldn’t all of the candidates participating in the Republican debates be given roughly the same amount of time to talk? After all, what kind of a “debate” is it when certain candidates are given double (or sometimes even triple) the amount of talking time? Why is it that Rick Perry and Mitt Romney have been getting about twice as much talking time as the other candidates during the Republican debates? It is amazing that more people are not calling into question the credibility of these “debates”. Whether you support one of the Republican candidates or not, we should all be able to agree that one of the goals for these debates should be to treat the candidates as fairly and evenly as possible. Unfortunately, as the numbers you are about to see indicate, that is definitely not happening.

According to blogger Wes Hemings, the following is how much talking time each candidate received during the last Republican debate….MORE…..

Internet Hits All-Time High as News Source, TV at All-Time Low, Says Pew

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

The Internet has risen to its all-time high as a primary source of news for Americans with 43 percent now saying they get most of their news on national and international issues from the web, according to a survey published Thursday by the Pew Research Center for The People & The Press.

Meanwhile, television sits at an all-time low as a primary source of news for Americans with only 66 percent now saying they get most of their national and international news from TV–a nadir television also hit in December 2010.

Since 1991, Pew has periodically asked Americans: “How do you get most of your news about national and international issues?”

* A d v e r t i s e m e n t

*

In this survey, respondents are allowed to give up to two answers. (So, a person can cite both television and the Internet, or television and radio, or newspapers and television, etc., as the places where they get most of their news–and the combined percentages for the various sources can add up to more than 100 percent).

In the two decades Pew has been tracking this trend in American news sources, television peaked as the primary source of news for Americans at the time s of the September 2001 terrorist attacks, when 90 percent said they got most of their news from TV. Television nearly returned to that level in March 2003, during the invasion of Iraq, and September 2005, during Hurricane Katrina. At both those times, 89 percent said they got most of their national and international news from TV.

Fed Program to “Monitor Conversations” Is Intimidation Tactic ~ “US Army was monitoring protests against Federal Reserve in 2008″

September 26, 2011 1 comment

US Army was monitoring protests against Federal Reserve in 2008

Paul Joseph Watson

Prison Planet.com

Monday, September 26, 2011

The blogosphere has exploded with interest over the Federal Reserve’s move to follow in the footsteps of the Obama campaign’s “Attack Watch” by monitoring and identifying its critics, but many seem to have missed the obvious intention of the announcement – it’s an intimidation tactic designed to chill dissent.

Fed Program to Monitor Conversations Is Intimidation Tactic xin 0620805060838312238356

As Zero Hedge explains, the Federal Reserve, “Is requesting the creation of a “Social Listening Platform” whose function is to “gather data from various social media outlets and news sources.” It will “monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria.” The Fed’s desired product should be able to “determine the sentiment [ED:LOL] of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document”… “The solution must be able to gather data from the primary social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums and YouTube. It should also be able to aggregate data from various media outlets such as: CNN, WSJ, Factiva etc.” Most importantly, the “Listening Platform” should be able to “Handle crisis situations, Continuously monitor conversations, and Identify and reach out to key bloggers and influencers.”

If the Federal Reserve was really that concerned about what people on the Internet were saying about it, then this program would have been launched several years ago, and not after a heap of vitriol has already been spewed.

The announcement that the Fed is monitoring dissent and attempting to identify individual bloggers is little more than an intimidation tactic designed to chill anti-Fed rhetoric and make people think twice before they criticize the private, run for profit entity that poses as a part of the government yet is no more federal than Federal Express.

Intimidation has been the name of the game when it comes to the Fed for years before this announcement was made.

* A d v e r t i s e m e n t

*

When the first “End the Fed” protests were started back in 2008, no less than the US Army itself was put on alert.

An advisory released in November 2008 by the US Army Reserve warned its personnel of the demonstrations in advance. “The United States Army Reserve Command is publishing this Force Protection Advisory to advise all Army Reserve personnel of the planned protests at all Federal Reserve Banks and office locations within the United States on 22 November 2008,” read the document. “This message provides situational awareness and recommended mitigation measures.”

On November 22, 2008, Alex Jones led a rally at the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas Texas. The Dallas protest is specifically mentioned in the official Army document. Ron Paul’s brother was also in attendance.

The Army had already “established relationships” with local law enforcement and the FBI regarding the protests, who had then promised to keep the Army updated on developments.

This proves that the US government and the Federal Reserve were already well aware of the growing anti-Fed movement, and indeed using the Army as a bulwark against it, three years prior to the announcement of their intention to create a “Social Listening Platform” in order to monitor dissent.

Obama Analyst Says Son-of-Stimulus Will Create “Drag on Economy”

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Barack Obama is flitting around the country imploring “Pass the Bill.” The bill he’s referring to is the – aka: the Son-of-Stimulus. The plan calls for $447 billion in temporary spending and $1.5 trillion in permanent taxes. The President sprinkles all his speeches with frequent claims that his plan will create 1.9 million jobs.

However, any bump from all that spending will quickly be offset by the burden of all those taxes. In fact, by 2013 Son-of-Stimulus will create a “drag on the economy,” and by 2015 we will be stuck in “the same place” as if Obama’s plan were ignored.

And that, my friends, isn’t the conclusion of one of Obama’s growing number of critics. That’s the conclusion of Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Analytics. Most significantly, Zandi is the private industry analyst hand-picked by Barack Obama to help sell Son-of-Stimulus to Congress and the American people.

If “drag on the economy” is the nicest thing his own economic expert can say about the plan, it pretty well sums up why Son-of-Stimulus is likely headed for the trash bin on Capitol Hill.

“You should pass it right now!” Obama beseeched Congress on September 8. That was before there was a bill to read, and before he mentioned eleven days later that all those new taxes were also part of his plan. And, it was before anybody had a chance to figure out what “it” actually was. Now we know why he was in such a hurry. It was like, “We have to pass it, so you can find out what’s in it,” all over again.

The Administration’s in-house track record for predicting job growth or anything else related to the economy is so bad that for Son-of-Stimulus, they sub-contracted the guessing to Zandi who has been a reliable cheerleader for the White House. He’s the one who originally came up with the 1.9 million jobs estimate, but Zandi is already back-peddling.

“I didn’t know when I did that simulation how the president proposed to pay for it,” Zandi now explains – which begs the question how in the world he could perform a credible analysis without all the details, and why he was willing to put his name on it? The White House apparently just told Zandi, “Trust us on this one,” all the temporary spending will be “paid for.” The White House never mentioned, and Zandi failed to ask, exactly what “paid for” actually looked like.

Sounding more than just a little red-faced, Zandi has amended his initial projections after learning of the $1.5 trillion of new taxes announced as part of Son-of-Stimulus on September 19. The economist amended his initial conclusions and has advised Congress that, “Beginning in 2013 and certainly into 2014, the plan is a drag on the economy because the stimulus starts fading away. So by 2015, the economy is in the same place as now, as if there were no jobs package.”

Well, not exactly, Mr. Zandi.

We have no reason to disagree that neither unemployment or economic growth would be positively impacted in any significant way by Son-of-Stimulus. However, the government would have blown another half trillion dollars of borrowed money, all added to the debt, while raising taxes permanently by $150 billion per year forever. If that amounts to the “same place” to Mr. Zandi, or to the White House it explains in part why they haven’t a clue how to get us out of this mess – or, to even stop making it worse.

UN’s a massive joke

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Though it was created with lofty ideals, the United Nations in practice is too often an embarrassment to its noble goals.

The latest example came last week as the UN commemorated the 10th anniversary of the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance held in Durban, South Africa, in 2001.

That became know as Durban I. Durban II was in 2009 in Geneva and, last week in New York, the UN convened Durban III “to strengthen political commitment to fight racism.”

Sounds great in theory, but in practice that “strengthening” last week included the contribution of Iran’s foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi who lambasted Canada, the U.S. and others for our support of the “Zionist racist regime”— that would be Israel — and our failure to support the Palestinians who are victims of “state racism” and “apartheid.”

No Canadian diplomats were around to hear this lecture.

Canada, to its credit, has boycotted this sham conference since Durban II and was the first of about a dozen countries, including the U.S., the United Kingdom and France, to pull out in protest.

Those who stayed, and lent their legitimacy to Durban II, were treated to Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemning Israel as “totally racist.”

He even got applause from some of the delegates!

But the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, sitting right behind Ahmadinejad as he spoke in 2009, didn’t utter a peep in protest about that noxious speech or about those who would applaud such hate, but she did criticize Canada and others for not sitting in on the session.

Pillay was apparently unable to see what Canada easily could: The utter absurdity of the fact the Durban II event — a conference, I repeat, to expose human rights abuses in the form of racism — was chaired by Moammar Gadhafi’s Libya, Ahmadinejad’s Iran and Castro’s Cuba!

Last week at Durban III, the West was lectured that it was not doing enough about human rights abuses by none other than Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe.

Giving the likes of Gadhafi, Mugabe and Ahmadinejad such prominent roles in these bodies is just plain bad news for the UN.

“The prominent role played by many dictatorships, totalitarian regimes and notorious human rights abusers in UN decision-making bodies does great damage to the organization’s credibility,” Immigration Minister Jason Kenney told me just before he gave a speech in New York last week attacking the whole Durban process.

But it’s just not Durban that makes the UN look bad.

The presidency of the UN’s security council rotates every month and this month, the presidency is held by Lebanon, where the party in power is the political wing of Hezbollah.

So the guy who’s president of the UN security council represents a group Canada has declared to be a known terrorist group.

Meanwhile, China is a paid-up member of the UN Committee on Information.

Saudi Arabia, where women can’t even drive a car, is happy to pitch in as a member of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Two other well-known defenders of the rights of women, Libya and Iran, are also on the commission.

As they say: You couldn’t make this stuff up.

And yet, that is the everyday reality of today’s United Nations.

via UN’s a massive joke.

Bring guns. Don’t get comfy(FL)

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

West Palm Beach’s mayor doesn’t want guns in city hall, and who can blame her? Allowing firearms into public buildings that serve as an arena for political and legal conflict invites trouble. Unfortunately, it’s also the law.

That the law is amply clear seemed for a while not to matter. This month, Mayor Jeri Muoio vowed to continue banning firearms in the building after Oct. 1, when a new state law imposes stiff fines on local governments that continue to enforce their own firearm regulations.

Though her attitude was understandable, threatening to buck state law in all but name was a mistake. Now Mayor Muoio and her staff have devised a much wiser policy – allowing people to enter city hall with guns but requiring them to be accompanied by a police escort during their entire visit. Thus the city complies with the law and maintains safety.

Legislators in Tallahassee argue that West Palm Beach and scores of municipal governments have been violating state law for years by creating their own gun regulations. These regulations, though, were rarely, if ever, challenged. Now that penalties – including $5,000 fines and potential removal from office – are being attached, governments are taking note. The Palm Beach County Commission recently repealed ordinances that have kept guns out of day-care centers and parks. West Palm Beach and other local cities took similar steps.

The supposedly local-control Legislature – the same one that criticizes dictates from the federal government – is wrong to prohibit cities and counties from setting their own gun regulations. Certain regions of Florida face more armed violence than others and should be permitted to address it with tighter regulations. But flouting the law, as Mayor Muoio originally proposed to do, would have been counterproductive and could have wasted taxpayer money.

The argument to keep the ban on guns at city hall was based on a state law that does prohibit guns at certain government meetings. Mayor Muoio and city officials argued that they could prevent any guns from entering city hall because, in theory, any number of meetings could be happening at any given time. But the law clearly applies only to “meetings of government bodies,” not internal staff meetings.

It’s unlikely that gun-toting throngs will try to swarm city hall, and the mayor’s new policy should make their visits sufficiently inconvenient for them to reconsider doing so again. Citizens have little business bringing guns into government buildings, and police escorts will let the city drive that point home without violating state law.

Flash’s departure clears way for format stand-off (Windows 8)

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

With the announcement that the Windows 8 Metro UI’s browser would be plug-in (and therefore Flash) free, a major milestone on the road to HTML5 adoption was reached. But we’re still not out of the woods yet.

Apple was the first major operating system company to really start the trip down this road, with Steve Job’s insistence that iOS, the core OS for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad product lines, would no longer support Abobe’s Flash, citing instability and battery life concerns.

Instead, Apple went with HTML5-based protocols for video and dynamic content. This week, we saw Microsoft joining suit, also promoting HTML5 standards.

At this point, advocates of software freedom should be happy that finally the major software makers are getting on board with the idea of standards for development and content delivery.

Except, unfortunately, that’s not what’s happening at all.

While it is true that HTML5 video is a step in the right direction, we also have to take into consideration the underlying codecs used to deliver the video content. Therein lies a tale, and possibly another kind of proprietary video fight, complete with potential litigation and threats of patent infringement.

Here’s the problem: while Microsoft and Apple’s browsers will be supporting the tag to view content, they are only supporting the H.264 video codec by default. H.264 is a proprietary format with patents controlled by a consortium of companies known as the MPEG Licensing Authority (MPEG LA). To get H.264 support in your software (whether a browser or video editing tool), you have to pay MPEG LA a licensing fee.

As Ed Bott from ZDNet reported this spring, this is not currently an exorbitant fee (in fact the most royalty a licensee would have to pay would be $6.5 million/year through 2015). Even better, the MPEG LA has said it won’t collect royalties for video players (including browsers) until the beginning of 2016, so only software that encodes, decodes, or streams video is affected by these royalty fees.

But Google (even though it’s still listed as a licensee of H.264, right alongside Apple and Microsoft) has opted to avoid the 2016 problem altogether and support only the WebM (VP8) and Ogg Theora codecs, dropping support for H.264. Mozilla has opted for the same codecs for its Firefox browser.

Ogg Theora is an entirely patent-free codec, while WebM does have patents attached to it, but has a free license that grants users perpetual use of the codec without worry from patents.

Most of this is a history lesson, and not unexpected. Microsoft has already thrown support behind H.264 before with Internet Explorer 9, but with the official “all-in,” no plug-ins announcement from Microsoft this week, I have concerns that we are getting set up for a video codec war.

Jobs already hinted at it back in 2010 soon after he dropped the no-Flash-in-iOS bombshell, in an e-mail reply to a complaint about using the patent-encumbered H.264 codec:

“All video codecs are covered by patents. A patent pool is being assembled to go after Theora and other ‘open source’ codecs now. Unfortunately, just because something is open source, it doesn’t mean or guarantee that it doesn’t infringe on others patents. An open standard is different from being royalty free or open source.”

So, basically, if Ogg Theora content starts making a dent in Apple and Microsoft’s bottom line, or that of the MPEG LA’s, then expect to see a lawsuit or two headed Google’s way after 2015.

That’s a long ways away, granted, and anything can happen between then and now. But what seems to be the loss for Flash as a major content delivery format has just cleared the way for yet-another format fight that will last a long, long while.

Sarah Palin Can Save This Republic

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

I want a presidential candidate who has no history of cozying up to terrorists; nor do I want a candidate friendly with religions and countries which do not denounce terrorists; or who allow illegal immigrants to come here; or those that support socialist policies.

For me that means I must omit Chris Christie, Ron Paul, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney from receiving my support. That’s the way I roll, to save the Republic.

Sarah Palin’s record in Alaska shows her to be the bravest, most effective executive I’ve ever seen. She accomplished incredible feats as Governor and united Democrats and Republicans in order to succeed with projects which brought great prosperity to her state.

She swept the Capitol clean of traditional political corruption and cronyism in situations where typical politicians wouldn’t dare risk their political capital and financial support by rocking the boat.

Sarah Palin scares people. And that’s good.

I can understand why she’d scare politicians, especially when entering a federal government completely taken over by Chicago-style thugs.

But in my opinion the liberal fear of Sarah Palin is incredibly silly.

[.....]

We are at a crossroads in America, where the single most important issue is saving America from a socialist train wreck.

Listen carefully:

If we do not elect a fiscal conservative in November 2012 who will dramatically rein in debt and spending, remove onerous business regulations and decrease corporate taxes, your concerns over issues like abortion will be moot, because in socialist governments, your opinion does not count.

If we save the Republic, you still get to fight over issues. If we lose the Republic, your government will tell you EXACTLY what you can and cannot do with your reproductive system, money, cars, houses, kids, health.

The Bugaboo of the Left

The Bugaboo of the Left:

The rogues’ gallery of the far left is enormously spacious, and it doesn’t take much to be eligible for inclusion; any conservative worth his or her salt automatically qualifies.

But with the possible exception of that eternal bogeyman, Richard Nixon, nobody is hated by the left with such abandon; nobody is more vilified; nobody is targeted with such volcanic eruptions of insane hatred and vitriol as former Vice President Dick Cheney.

But why? What did Cheney do to deserve such vicious scorn?

READER RESPONSE…

Sorry, I had to break this into two separate comments. Wish I could learn to write more concisely.

Go to http://www.goooh.com — watch the video series at the upper left corner of the home page — then look around the site there and find the whole explanation as to how and why we have to take this action. We need all the help we can get. There is no need to just continue fussing about the situation, no need to continue petitioning the Congress or flooding their e-mail boxes, etc. etc. They are totally ignoring all this. They cannot ignore what the GOOOH process is doing. Thank you.

For Col. Sellin: Thank you Sir for all the effort you have already devoted to exposing this fraud. I have copied the list of over 70 articles you’ve written on the subject. I’ve not read all of them yet, but I am working on it. After you have looked at the GOOOH web site, will you please contact me or Mr. Tim Cox to discuss this? I will be sending you an e-mail shortly. Thanks again.

Barack Blames Blacks, Bush, Banks, Budget, You

September 26, 2011 1 comment

Barack Obama continued his stirring “It’s All Your Fault” campaign tour this week scolding crowds in New York, Ohio, Washington, DC and people on the West Bank and in Israel for not doing their jobs.

It seems that citizens around the world are screwing up what otherwise would have been a fun-filled four years of taxpayers’ subsidized vacations for Barry and Michelle. And Obama is hoping that will change.

“[I]f you love me, you’ve got to help me pass this bill,” said Obama two weeks ago as he kicked off the desperation reelection tour. He was scolding a crowd in North Carolina about doing a homework assignment for him involving lobbying for his new tax increase.

He needs all the help he can get. He’s been down this road before and it’s not worked out so well.

Congress stopped listening to him last November as he led the Democrats to electoral defeat during the “It’s All the Tea Party’s Fault” inaugural tour

The fallout was Obama’s last budget proposal, which included similar schemes as this new tax increase he’s proposing. That budget got zero votes in the Senate.

Good job slackers.

Think of that; not one Senate Democrat voted his budget. The SETI Institute has been re-tasked to search for votes from any life form in the known universe for this new tax increase.

Waiting; waiting; waiting…

Don’t you feel ashamed now that you didn’t help Obama pass his budget? It was only the single most important document that a president creates every year. Thanks a lot.

Not. One. Vote. How dare you?

Well according to CBSNews, he’s not letting people off as easily this time around. He’s not going to let you slackers idly worship him as the single greatest president in the history of MSNBC without you showing some elbow grease for his efforts.

“For those of you who did skip class today, I’ve got a homework assignment for you,” continued Obama, “tell your Congress person that the time for gridlock and games is over; the time for action is now…. You can write a letter. When was the last time you did that?”

Very innovative strategy from the Obama administration: getting sixth-graders to write lobbying letters to Congress. “Did you pass it yet? Did you pass it yet? Did you pass it yet? Did you pass it yet?” They might get one vote from an annoyed John McCain.

My guess is that most people have written more letters in the last three years than Obama has passed budgets. Good going Citizens of America. Way to make our president look bad by writing both of those letters.

“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” Obama demanded of the Congressional Black Caucus over the weekend. The Caucus has been restless, pointing out that blacks are a lot worse off under Obama’s presidency than they were under Bush.

Bunch of ingrates. Don’t they know he’s the greatest Nobel prize winner of all time, trumping Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat in HuffPo mentions? Combined.

What do people expect? Jobs?

“Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’,” Obama continued. “We are going to press on. We have work to do.”

Obama’s preferred working/marching shoes are size 11.5 D golf spikes. No bedroom slippers for him.

And there’s one thing that a man gets a lot of time for when he’s being driven from hole to hole by Secret Service agents while playing golf on Martha’s Vineyard.

That man has time to think.

And that time leads one to an inescapable conclusion:

Newsweek could feature President Cain’s image on the January 2013 Inauguration issue under the title: “We’re All Racists Now.”

And it’s all your fault.

Protesters greet Obama’s motorcade on the Peninsula

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

President Barack Obama has arrived in the Bay Area for a series of back-to-back fundraisers where he is expected to collect from $3.5 million to $5.5 million at events in Silicon Valley‘s toniest towns.

Monday, he’ll hold a town hall meeting on his American Jobs Act plan at the social network company LinkedIn.

This is the president’s second visit to the Bay Area in six months, and his sixth visit since taking office. He’s here to take advantage of the generous fundraising support he receives: Contributors from the area’s three major cities coughed up $35.5 million for his 2008 campaign, and at least about $2.2 million for his re-election as of June 30.

Air Force One landed shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Moffett Field in Sunnvyale. From there the president was whisked to the Woodside home of Symantec chairman John Thompson, where a crowd of about 400 paid at least $2,500 a head to get in, $7,500 if they wanted a photo with the chief executive.

Along the way, more than 100 conservative protesters carrying signs and chanting “one-term president!” greeted the president’s motorcade at Sand Hill Road and Whiskey Hill Road.

Owen Jones, 59, of Fremont, held a sign saying, “Illegals cost U.S. trillions — no more freebies for illegal aliens.”

A member of the Golden Gate Minutemen, Jones said he has spent 40 years as a union carpenter “watching his trade and his livelihood stolen by illegal immigration.”

Obama Focuses on Success During West Coast Swing

Ed Henry Published September 25, 2011

SAN JOSE, Calif. – As he kicked off a three-day swing through the West aimed in part at firing up his liberal base and raking in millions of dollars for his 2012 re-election campaign, President Obama claimed his first term has been a success even as he urged supporters for the second straight day to “shake off” their frustrations in order to help give him a second term in office.

“I need you guys to shake off any doldrums,” Obama said Sunday at the second of two fundraisers in Seattle before jetting here to San Jose for two more fundraisers. “I need you to decide right here and right now, talk to your friends and neighbors and co-workers and tell them, ‘You know what? We’re not finished yet.’”

Obama struck a similar tone in rallying liberal supporters on Saturday night in Washington, DC, when he spoke at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation‘s Annual Phoenix Awards dinner before heading out West on Sunday. “I expect all of you to march with me and press on,” Obama said to applause. “Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes. Shake it off. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying. We are going to press on.” In Seattle on Sunday, Obama was just as aggressive in asserting his first term has been successful as he claimed that he has accomplished the vast majority of what he wanted to get done.

“We’re just starting off here, we’ve got 14 months,” Obama said about his first term in office, urging supporters to help spread the message that it’s not a failure he’s only gotten 80 percent of what he wants done so far.

The Murder of an American Nazi

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

When Jeff Hall, a rising star in the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement, was murdered last spring by his own 10-year-old son, it seemed easy to blame the boy’s exposure to violent rhetoric and guns. But, as correspondent Lesley Stahl reports, the truth is far more complicated. “60 Minutes” investigates the case and the growing strength of hate groups nationwide.

The following script is from “The murder of an American Nazi” which aired on Sept. 25, 2011.

Earlier this year, the leader of a neo-Nazi group was murdered in Riverside, California. His name was Jeff Hall. He was a burly man, six-foot-three, a devoted father of five young children and a plumber who had been unemployed for three years. Jeff Hall was shot at near-zero range in his own living room. What was astonishing – was who shot him.

Jeff Hall at home: We’ve been through a lot together, some of us, you know. Seriously.

This is 32-year-old Jeff Hall. These pictures were taken just hours before he was executed – right in this room. The executioner – this child: his son. His 10-year-old son. But if you find this image disturbing, consider this one: taken two weeks earlier.

“60 Minutes Overtime”

Video journalist Julie Platner spent a year chronicling the life of an American neo-Nazi and his family

A neo-Nazi rally on the streets of Trenton, New Jersey.

Hall at rally: Who’s streets?

Crowd: Our streets!

Hall: Who’s streets?

Crowd: Our streets!

Hall: Who’s streets?

Crowd: Our streets! Zeig Heil!

Hall delivering speech: We are not afraid of you!

Jeff Hall was a rising star in the largest neo-Nazi group in the country, the National Socialist Movement, or NSM.

Extra: Breeding hatred in the U.S.

Crowd at rally: Zeig Heil!

The numbers nationwide are still small – 500 members tops, but they’re growing.

Hall: This isn’t dress up, this isn’t a game. We are fighting for our children’s future.

According to Jeff Hall and the NSM that future would be an all-white, non-Semitic America.

Hall: There’s other groups I could join. There’s tons of them.

Jeff Hall joined only three years ago – but seen as personable and charismatic, he quickly became the leader of NSM in California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.

Hall: Zeig Heil! Zeig Heil! Zeig Heil!

This footage was shot by Julie Platner, a filmmaker and photographer, who was able to gain the NSM’s trust.

Nazi: How ya doin’ Miss Julie?

And enter their closed world of private meetings.

Hall: Julie has me mic’ed

There’s A Chill In The Air: Why Obama Will Win Again—And Why I’m Not Excited

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Autumn brings the political warhorses out of the barn, with a sense the race is on. And nationally, it is. But rather than the electricity and anticipation that your correspondent, a truly old warhorse, has experienced, there’s a sourness and disappointment unlike any campaign season I can remember.

It’s not just Obama’s desperate poll numbers and a stagnant national economy. There’s rage and dopiness and incipient violence aplenty out there, and precious little in the way of thoughtful solutions. And it’s not just President Barack Obama’s fault. The Republican Party has been hijacked by a combination of the invincibly ignorant and unrelentingly mean. Obama may not have the right prescription, but neither does Herbert Hoover.

In spite of it all, and not because of anything he’s done, I think Obama will win. But it won’t be pretty. It won’t help bring the country out of its doldrums. And for people like myself who entered public service in order to improve everyone’s lot in life—and who enthusiastically thought Obama was the man to do it—we have precious little to get excited about.

I still think Obama is right for the country, right for the middle class and right for the values I stood for in public office. But he’s made real mistakes, and enabled a reactionary and angry opposition. The ups and downs of the next 14 months will illuminate what he did right, his limitations and the state of the nation. Here’s how I think events will unfold:

For Republicans, the next three months will be dominated by candidates slashing at each other as the truly weird ones disappear. Sarah Palin will run if Michele Bachmann self-destructs, and maybe even if she doesn’t. Mitt Romney and Rick Perry will be widely viewed as the front-runners, but there will be room for third or fourth candidacies. Every GOP candidate will embrace the same ideas—a hard, hard right-wing catechism. Their personalities will be all that distinguishes them.

Both Perry and Romney will make mistakes, but Perry will look better, more in control, fiercer. It will be close, but Perry will win enough delegates to go into the Republican Convention with either a slight majority or a heavy enough plurality to force the establishment to roll over. (Remember, disappointed Romney people are more likely to support the other guy than disappointed Perry people.) Perry picks Carly Fiorina as his running mate as a jobs-economy-gender gesture.

Back in the White House, Obama will finally abandon his supercool, I’m-the-grown-up persona and begin a focused attack on Republicans. He will define them as Tea Party right-wing crazies who do the bidding only of the rich. His intensely negative message will focus on Social Security and women’s issues, leaving behind “The Audacity of Hope” for “The Necessity of Fear.”

Obama’s legislative proposals will go nowhere, but his poll numbers will improve enough to keep any other Democrat—a Clinton, for instance—from emerging as a savior. Most of the discussion in the party will be about replacing Biden, which won’t happen.

Three weeks before the election, Obama will switch to a positive message just as the economy shows a small but measurable improvement. He will abandon any pretense of a national campaign and focus on 25 or so states that get him to 271 electoral votes. It comes down to Michigan, Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, Montana and Iowa. Obama stays alive because of Hispanic votes in California, Colorado and Arizona, where Republicans realize too late that their immigration politics have hurt them.

Election Day comes with Obama down three points in the national polls. He ends up with 48% of the popular vote, 273 electoral votes and no mandate to govern.

What will be the lesson? Obama focused on health care when the country wanted jobs. Republicans focused on Obama when the country wanted jobs. Both political establishments lost their connection to the electorate.

We have an electorate more deeply angry than in decades. We face a true decline in our national prospects. We have a political culture that is exhausted and out of touch with the way people live their lives.

Our mood and our politics are nasty, brutish and loud.

Still Looking for a Candidate to Replace Obama

September 26, 2011 Leave a comment

The spotlight was hottest on Rick Perry, the frontrunner in national polls since he announced his candidacy in Charleston, S.C., on Aug. 13, the same day that Michele Bachmann won the straw poll in Ames, Iowa.

Perry’s problem was not just that he punted on the tough question of how to respond to a terrorist takeover of nuclear-armed Pakistan. Even the smooth-talking Mitt Romney might have had trouble with that nightmare scenario. And Perry was right to cite our informal alliance with India as a source of leverage.

The problem was that Perry was couldn’t respond cogently to utterly predictable questions and was unable to articulate his pre-scripted criticisms of Romney. A case can certainly be made that Romney has flip-flopped on issues. But Perry failed to make it.

Perry defended his order requiring HPV vaccinations by citing his talks with a woman with cervical cancer — but they took place only after his order. He failed to fend off attacks on his criticisms of Social Security in his book “Fed Up!,” saying he was only endorsing the longtime exemption from the program for state and local public employees.

He failed to explain why Texas, with its large legal and illegal immigrant and young populations, has a high percentage of people without health insurance.

He was eloquent in defending Texas’s in-state college tuition for children of illegal aliens, but his stand is hugely unpopular with Republicans outside Texas. And he failed to point out that it helped him win a respectable 38 percent from Latino voters in the 2010 election.

Mitt Romney clearly benefited from his greater experience over the years and his superior preparation in recent weeks. But he also benefited from the fact that no one challenged him convincingly on claims that he is unlikely to be able to sustain.

He sloughed off Perry’s accurate charge that he supported the Obama administration’s Race to the Top education program — a defensible position, but not a popular one for Republicans.

He repeated now what has been his standard defense of his Massachusetts health care program. But someday someone is going to nail him on his insistence that its individual mandate to buy insurance covers only 8 percent of the population. It actually applies to everyone.

He avoided Perry’s claim that he deleted defenses of the program from the paperback edition of his book. He won’t be able to deftly dodge that forever.

If he overtakes Perry in the polls — a likely possibility after the Texan’s stumbling performance — he will likely become the pinata for the rest of the field, a role he figured to play before Perry entered the race.

None of the other seven candidates on the stage made a convincing case for advancing to the top tier. The closest was Rick Santorum, who was eloquent and knowledgeable on foreign policy. But his answer on gays in the military was cringe-inducing for people on all sides of the issue. Michele Bachmann refused to back down from her statement relaying the claim of a woman who approached her saying that the HPV vaccine caused retardation in her child. Bachmann has made headway by championing the instincts of ordinary hardworking citizens over the supposed wisdom of experts. But on vaccinations the experts are right.

Pundits are fixated on designating a frontrunner, but the polls in this race — witness Romney’s rise and fall and Perry’s rise — have all the solidity of cotton candy. Bachmann’s numbers peaked in July, Herman Cain‘s in June, Ron Paul’s and Newt Gingrich‘s in May — and not at high levels. Santorum’s haven’t peaked at all.

Could another candidate give a better performance than Perry and deliver more sustainable responses than Romney? To judge from their performances in various public and private venues the answer is yes for Mitch Daniels, Paul Ryan and Chris Christie.

Each has taken himself out of the race. Each still has time to get in. Most voters are ready to reject Barack Obama. But not necessarily for one of those on the stage Thursday night.
