Which American citizen will Obama kill next?

October 2, 2011 1 comment

Barack Obama ordered the assassination of two American citizens. No one is arguing that they weren’t bad, but this is a terrible precedent.

An American President now can order the assassination of American citizens.

An American President can now suspend any American’s constitutional rights at will.

Think about that.

Why did we give Timothy McVeigh a trial?

Why don’t we just kill Case Anthony? We all know she’s guilty.

Why do we even bother having trials?

Over at Huffington Post there is division on this issue. They quote Jane Harman:

“It’s tricky that he was a U.S. citizen, but he clearly stated his intention to kill Americans and the Justice Department thoroughly vetted the legal issues and this strike was within the law,”

The Justice Department vetted this? Holder vetted this?

That borders on insanity. This is the same Holder “Justice Department” who put an end to the Black Panther intimidation case. The is the same Holder “Justice Department” which intentionally sent weapons into Mexico. This is the same Justice Department that sues states for attempting to protect their borders. This is the same “Justice Department” that wants a civil trial for Khalid Sheik Muhammamed.

HuffPo is allowing no comments that question Obama’s decision to assassinate an American citizen. I suspect that even they know how wrong this was.

What is the threshold for ordering the death of American citizens?

Joe Biden likened Tea Party members to terrorists.

Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit, according to several sources in the room.

Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.

“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists.”

Golly, if they’re terrorists, then Obama can have them killed, right?

When the media doesn’t like the news it smothers it especially if it’s good Second Amendment news

In spite of liberal bleating about more hand guns surely leading to more gun violence, in spite of predictions of a return to “Old West” style settling of arguments by gunfights and attacks on the Supreme Court as being “unwise” for affirming the right of Americans to keep guns in their homes, the sky did not fall. Gun we have learned, really don’t kill me after all.

Data just released by Chicago shows gun crimes and murder rates are down and substantially down in Washington D.C. since the right to individual ownership of guns was forcibly returned to the people.

In the first six months of this year Chicago’s murder rate dropped 14% providing the largest semi annual decrease since 1982 when Richard Daley decided he knew better what was good for his constituents and rammed through his draconian anti second Amendment laws.

….Heller Decision dragged Washington DC, back to the Constitution in 2008 the murder rate ……dropped 2 ½ times faster than it has in the rest of the country. Compared to pre- Heller times, murders in DC are down by 34% gun assaults are down 37% and robberies with guns involved are off by 25%.

Not surprisingly we have heard nothing like the din that would follow the predicted catastrophes the Left is always crying about.

Comparing Florida to Illinois

Despite the clear evidence from Chicago ………. Illinois stands alone as the only state that continues to ban lawful citizens from carrying concealed handguns.

Of course, the State with the worst debt crisis insists it knows how its citizens should protect themselves even if it knows nothing about running its own affairs.

By comparison a new law in Florida compels local officials, including police chiefs, to follow state laws..

FDR at War: How Expanded Power, National Debt, Restricted Civil Liberties Shaped Wartime America

Actual Title:FDR Goes to War: How Expanded Executive Power, Spiraling National Debt, and Restricted Civil Liberties Shaped Wartime America

Reviews:”FDR Goes to War is a page-turning tour de force — and a scholarly one, at that — of the politics and economics of America’s involvement in WWII. Be prepared to rethink much of what you think you know about FDR, the war, and the post-Depression U.S. economy.” –Don Bordreaux, Chairman of the Department of Economics at George Mason University

“In New Deal or Raw Deal? Burt Folsom exposed FDR’s failed policies during the Great Depression. Now, in FDR Goes to War, he pulls the curtain back even further. Burt and Anita Folsom have produced a book that should be read by all Americans. This is the real history you do not find in textbooks.” — James P. Duffy, author of Lindbergh Vs. Roosevelt

“Few in the history profession have done more to shed light on the real Franklin Delano Roosevelt than Burt Folsom. With FDR Goes to War, Folsom and his wife Anita educate Americans on the facts we should have known but were never taught. You will find this book both shocking and refreshing.” — Lawrence W. Reed, president, Foundation for Economic Education

“A compelling look at a fascinating man in a devastating war. This is the FDR concealed for over half a century by liberal academics and biased journalists. You will learn a lot from this engaging and readable book.” — Paul Kengor, professor of political science, Grove City College, and author of Dupes

Product Description From the acclaimed author of New Deal or Raw Deal?, called “eye-opening” by the National Review, comes a fascinating exposé of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s destructive wartime legacy—

Vanity: Where’s the Outrage regarding “Occupy Wall Street”?

October 2, 2011 2 comments

Disclaimers:

1. This is a shameless vanity.

2. I haven’t extensively researched all this occupy Wall Street crapola.

3. I’m mostly responding to what I see on Twitter, Google Plus, Facebook etc.

Having said all of that – with all of this Occupy Wall Street stuff I see what seems to be a well orchestrated plan by the left to foment what they hope will ultimately be revolution in the streets. They want their own London riots, their “Arab Spring”, their “Days of Rage” call it what you will or use whatever analogy you choose.

I fear that this is the endgame of the Cloward-Piven strategy and as such, it’s for all the marbles.

On the social media sites there are all manner of people going on and on about the evil bankers and like Roseanne Barr talking about how they should be executed.

This is all right out of the Obama/Van Jones/Bill Ayres/Valerie Jarrett/William Wright playbook.

Yet I see some but not very much discussion on FR.

Am I missing something? Is what is going on not that big a deal? Is FR reacting appropriately? Am I overreacting?

Thoughts?

And no, I’m not pimping a blog or anything of the sort – just putting the topic out there.

Mental hospital wants to release failed Reagan assassin John Hinckley Jr.

October 2, 2011 2 comments

Washington (CNN) — The government mental hospital where John Hinckley Jr. has spent most of the last 30 years since he shot and tried to kill President Ronald Reagan is asking a federal court to allow Hinckley’s eventual release to live with or near his aging mother in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The prosecution, in its own filing with the court on Friday, described Hinckley as “a man capable of great violence” and said his mental condition has not improved to the point of eliminating concerns “that this violence may be repeated.”

U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman has scheduled up to a week of court hearings on the issue to start November 28, the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Hinckley is now 56. He was committed to St. Elizabeths Hospital in 1982 after a jury found him innocent by reason of insanity in the shooting of President Reagan and three others, including the president’s severely wounded press secretary, James Brady.

The hospital’s lawyers and doctors filed their motion under seal, withheld from the public, when they asked at the end of this past July that Hinckley eventually be placed on “convalescent leave.”

Occupy Wall Street…

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

The movement known as Occupy Wall Street has been going on since September 17th, 2011. It is now

showing to the world that the constitutional rights of the American people do not exist. There is no right to peaceful assembly and to see NYPD at its finest acting like communist thugs, is a sign of the times and what awaits us on the horizon. The Internet is the only real news any more for everything else is in some way tainted. The majority of the news broadcasts are skipping this story of covering it very, very little.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z8MJKsCypc&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PL49D16CDD 9B70D7D3

It is a shame that Wall Street gets all the blame. It is not the stock brokers nor is it the “corporate greed” of every corporation lumped together that is to blame. The corruption that has turned the country inside-out is the Market Manipulators who for decades now have been trying to rig the game to make that Perfect Trade with no risk. To me, they are not even real men. They hide behind the mask of Wall Street when they are not part of the system at all. They are simply parasites who lack the intelligence to actually trade and stand upon their own research. Instead, they pay bribes to Russian officials to recall platinum for a pretend inventory so they can screw the auto producers. They are the Market Manipulators that move silver from New York to London to pretend there is a shortage. They are the Market Manipulators who bribe IMF officials to keep loans going to Russia so they can buy bonds at 30% interest rates. They are the Market Manipulators that constructed time bombs out of mortgages and ensured the rating agencies would bless them as AAA so they could sell them to everyone.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is NOT Wall Street! This is a dark back ally that feels safe because they control the press, the courts, the Justice Department, Congress, and local police. They line the pockets of politicians to run for office. They stack government with their own people in unelected jobs. In the end, it is not corporate greed, it is the greed of Market Manipulators that are simply a parasite that feed upon the system and anyone who dares to expose them, and they will attack with a vengeance using the police powers of government and label what they say as conspiracy theory to discredit their accusers. Yes America “Do not go gentle into that good night / Rage, rage against the dying of the light” of freedom and liberty as Dylan Thomas put so elegantly. But rage wisely. Do not be fooled and attack the decoy. If you want reform, know who your enemy truly is! It is not Wall Street. It is the parasites that feed on it.

Victor Davis Hanson: Obama’s Racial Crisis – Our post-racial president has set race relations…

Obama‘s Racial Crisis

Our post-racial president has set race relations back decades.

In the current racial circus, the president of the United States, in addressing an assembly of upscale black professionals and political leaders, adopts the style of a Southern Baptist preacher of the 1960s. He alters his cadences and delivery to both berate and gin up the large audience — posing as a messianic figure who will “march” them out to speak truth to power. In response, the omnipresent Rep. Maxine Waters goes public yet again, to object that the president has no right to rally blacks in this way, when he does not adopt similar tones of admonishment with Jews and gays. (Should Obama try to emulate the way he thinks gays and Jews talk in his next address to them?)

Hope-and-change has now sunk into little more than a tawdry spectacle of racial spoils, as the president of the United States desperately cobbles together squabbling special-interest racial, ethnic, and gender groups in lieu of……………

Former heavyweight champ says he’s tired of higher taxes, plans to move restaurant from downtown Easton.

By Andrew McGill, Of The Morning Call

9:22 p.m. EDT, September 30, 2011

Larry Holmes is angry. The guys didn’t mop behind the bar. They just rubbed it down with some rags.

He’s pretty sure he told them not to do that.

“Just go get some cleaner!” he bellows across the phone. “Whatever you need!”

He apologizes. The former heavyweight world champion has a lot on his mind, after all: bills, taxes and, after a decade and a half, a hurried departure from the street the city named after him.

For the first time, Larry Holmes Drive won’t have Larry Holmes.

Holmes is closing Larry Holmes Ringside Restaurant & Lounge, the establishment he built on the waterfront in the mid-1990s amid the height of Easton’s urban decay. He’s put the building up for sale for $2.1 million — “Do you want to buy it?” he asks — and plans to move to his former Canal Street gym on Easton’s South Side.

What’s driving him out, he says, is the one opponent he can’t beat: a crush of higher taxes, both from Easton Area School District and Mayor Sal Panto Jr.’s controversial Neighborhood Improvement District proposal. The improvement district proposal alone could bump up his annual bill by about $3,600.

The Freedom To Choose Your Pronoun

A FEW weeks ago, Katy Butler, 16, updated her status on Facebook with an enthusiastic shout-out for Google+, the social network’s latest rival. “Oh my God Google! I love it! I was signing up for Google+ and they asked me my gender and the choices were male, female or OTHER!!!!! Oh ya Google!”

Katy, a high school junior in Ann Arbor, Mich., first encountered “other” as a gender option at a meeting of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allies (LGBTQQA) in seventh grade. “For those of us in the nonconforming gender community, it is great to see Google make the option more mainstream,” she said.

Though Google created the “other” option for privacy reasons rather than as a transgender choice, young supporters of preferred gender pronouns (or P.G.P.’s as they are called) could not help but rejoice. Katy is one of a growing number of high school and college students who are questioning the gender roles society assigns individuals simply because they have been born male or female.

“You have to understand, this has nothing to do with your sexuality and everything to do with who you feel like inside,” Katy said, explaining that at the start of every LGBTQQA meeting, participants are first asked if they would like to share their P.G.P.’s. “Mine are ‘she,’ ‘her’ and ‘hers’ and sometimes ‘they,’ ‘them’ and ‘theirs.’ ”

P.G.P.’s can change as often as one likes. If the pronouns in the dictionary don’t suffice, there are numerous made-up ones now in use, including “ze,” “hir” and “hirs,” words that connote both genders because, as Katy explained, “Maybe one day you wake up and feel more like a boy.”

Teenagers are by nature prone to rebellion against adult conventions, and as the gender nonconformity movement gains momentum among young people

NY Times Freaks Out After Judge Upholds Most of Alabama’s Immigration Law

October 2, 2011 2 comments

How significant was Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn‘s ruling upholding key sections of Alabama’s H.B. 56 immigration law? Well, just ask the New York Times, which flipped out over it in their lead editorial:

A federal judge has upheld most of Alabama’s new immigration law, the nation’s harshest and most radical attempt to harness a state’s power to find and punish illegal immigrants. The consequences for Alabamans will be serious — not just for the undocumented, but for their blameless citizen children, for those who are mistaken for unauthorized immigrants and for farmers and other business owners ensnared in the law.

“Harsh”, “radical”, “find…punish”, “unauthorized immigrants”. Read enough of the Times’ editorial and you might actually forget that illegal immigration is, well, ILLEGAL.

While the Times is relieved that Judge Blackburn suspended (pending trial) sections making it a crime to “harbor or transport” illegals, barring illegals from public universities, and preventing day laborers from seeking work, they spared no hyperbole to describe the sections she upheld which do no more than uphold Federal immigration laws on the books:

But her mixed ruling was most discouraging for what survived. Judge Blackburn upheld the “papers, please” section, an echo of Arizona’s notorious attempt to require state and local law enforcement officials to check a person’s immigration status during traffic stops if they have “a reasonable suspicion” that someone is here illegally.

She upheld a section that criminalized the “willful failure” of an illegal immigrant to carry federal immigration papers.

Ah, the old “Papers, please” reference to Nazi Germany, suggesting that checking people’s IDs is akin to the Nazis checking “papers” for Jews or political opponents to arrest or otherwise persecute. But what if you are here in the U.S. legally, as a Permanent Resident? Well, you get a “green card” to prove it.

And what is the Federal law for green card holders regarding carrying the ID? It is written right on Form I-797, which all holders receive:

Hmm…what does that say? Let’s take a closer look…

Wow, those evil Nazis at Homeland Security mandate that green card holders carry their “papers” at “all times”! And those are LEGAL immigrants. How outrageous! I am expecting a follow-up editorial from the Times decrying this Fascist mandate.

What To Do? What Can We Do to Free Ourselves and Our Country?

The time has come to act. The Occupy Wall Street action is a good example, one that I hope grows and is supported.

by Vic Pittman

The country has been taken over by sociopathic liars, torturers, thieves and people who will start wars and kill innocent people for PROFIT.

One of my biggest criticisms of Neo-Con blowhards like Limbaugh and O’Reilly is that they whine and complain but offer no viable solutions. I have been guilty of the same thing. It is easy to point out glaring injustices and obvious wrongs, but then what?

Who’s really behind Wall Street protests?

October 2, 2011 1 comment

As the news media struggles to find a unifying theme behind the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters, a closer look at the activists behind the agitation reveals a transformative agenda aimed at assaulting U.S. capitalism.

The New York Times on Friday featured a video depicting the motivation of the Wall Street protesters without disclosing the radical background of some of those featured in the newspaper’s piece.

The video was entitled, “The young and old on what they hope to accomplish by joining the Occupy Wall Street demonstration in Zuccotti Park.”

One activist interviewed was Bev Rice, who has been sending online updates of the protests to the War Resisters League, where she has been an activist.

The League was one of the first radical groups to blame America for the 9-11 attacks.

On the very day of the 9-11 attacks, the League released a statement alleging, “The policies of militarism pursued by the United States have resulted in millions of deaths. … [M]ay these profound tragedies [of 9/11] remind us of the impact U.S. policies have had on other civilians in other lands.”

Here’s the rundown on Obama’s ties to “communists, socialists and other anti-American extremists” – all in “The Manchurian President.”

Another activist interviewed by the Times was holding a placard that quoted John F. Kennedy stating, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.”

Yet another was donning a red Kafiya, or Arabic headscarf with a specific pattern that has come to symbolize so-called Palestinian “resistance” against Israel. That style of Kafiya was popularized by Yasser Arafat.

The Occupy Wall Street movement launched two weeks ago and has been escalating ever since.

Earlier, police closed the Brooklyn Bridge and arrested more than 700 anti-Wall Street protesters for blocking traffic lanes and attempting an unauthorized march across the span.

The protests reportedly spread across the U.S., including to Boston, Seattle and Los Angeles. The organizers’ exact motivation has until now been sketchy.

JP Morgan Funded NYPD Mass Arrests Over 700 Peaceful Occupy Wall Street Protesters

October 2, 2011 1 comment

The NYPD has arrested over 700 protesters who were occupying the Brooklyn Bridge in what could very well be a defining moment in the battle for freedom and liberty in America.

The police apparently corralled the protesters(depending on whose story you believe) onto the Brooklyn Bridge and then started their arrests of American citizens protesting the very banks that have destroyed this country from within.

The NYPD is essentially doing the dirty work for the banks, which makes complete sense when you consider the fact that JP Morgan actually FUNDS The New York City Police Department.

That’s right, the very police department that has been filmed numerous times beating and macing the Occupy Wall Street protesters has received a considerable amount of money from the very banks that the protesters are targeting!

This is an obvious conflict of interest that the NYPD and corporate controlled media do not want you to know or talk about.

Obviously there are good people on the NYPD force but how are we supposed to believe that the NYPD as a whole just wants to protect their city when they are funded by the very banksters being targeted by the Occupy Wall Street protests?

Hairy, crazy ants invade from Texas to Miss.

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — It sounds like a horror movie: Biting ants invade by the millions. A camper’s metal walls bulge from the pressure of ants nesting behind them. A circle of poison stops them for only a day, and then a fresh horde shows up, bringing babies. Stand in the yard, and in seconds ants cover your shoes. It’s an extreme example of what can happen when the ants — which also can disable huge industrial plants — go unchecked. Controlling them can cost thousands of dollars. But the story is real, told by someone who’s been studying ants for a decade.

“Months later, I could close my eyes and see them moving,” said Joe MacGown, who curates the ant, mosquito and scarab collections at the Mississippi State Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University.

He’s been back to check on the hairy crazy ants. They’re still around. The occupant isn’t.

The flea-sized critters are called crazy because each forager scrambles randomly at a speed that your average picnic ant, marching one by one, reaches only in video fast-forward. They’re called hairy because of fuzz that, to the naked eye, makes their abdomens look less glossy than those of their slower, bigger cousins.

And they’re on the move in Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. In Texas, they’ve invaded homes and industrial complexes, urban areas and rural areas. They travel in cargo containers, hay bales, potted plants, motorcycles and moving vans. They overwhelm beehives — one Texas beekeeper was losing 100 a year in 2009. They short out industrial equipment.

If one gets electrocuted, its death releases a chemical cue to attack a threat to the colony, said Roger Gold, an entomology professor at Texas A&M.

“The other ants rush in. Before long, you have a ball of ants,” he said.

Ted Nugent: Fighting in the streets; Obama-caused frustrations could soon boil over

October 2, 2011 2 comments

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg stated that he’s worried that American young people will begin to riot in our streets because of their unemployment.

While the mayor and I disagree on most things, he might be onto to something here.

I recently opined that I couldn’t figure out why America’s young people were not already rioting because of the stacks of debt being foisted on their backs by a government that would rather borrow and spend than live within its means.

Young people are starting to figure out that our president conned them in the last election, claiming that he could fix everything, make the world safer, create jobs, provide for everybody, redistribute earnings, coddle the unemployed, etc. With many college graduates having to move back in with their parents, young people are beginning to understand that the president’s policies are anathema to job creation in the private sector.

I remember the riots of the 1960s over the Vietnam War and race relations. Young people back then were socially aware, on the surface, of the conditions that were impacting their lives. The differences between the protesters of the 1960s and the void of angry young people today are stark.

Where are the protests by today’s unemployed and underemployed young people? Why aren’t they demanding answers to fundamental questions about their future? Why aren’t they yelling that hope and change was a con job? Why aren’t they demanding answers to the reality that their generation will be the first in the history of America not to have a future at least as good as what their parents enjoyed?

Who knows? Maybe they can’t break away from playing computer and video games long enough to look around at their condition and the condition of America…..

Obama Falsely Claims Audience Booed Gay Soldier at Fundraiser

Obama Falsely Claims Audience Booed Gay Soldier at Fundraiser:

Even after it was thoroughly debunked, Obama mentioned it anyway to drum up dollars at his ritzy $35,800 per plate Facebook fundraiser tonight.

Jake Tapper and Ed Henry live-Tweeted the speech

… An individual, via those in attendance, hollered at the health care story and the audience rebuked them. Two men booed the gotcha question posed by a gay soldier and they were so strongly rebuked for booing that the audience’s hisses and shushes overpowered the volume of the rude men’s outburst.

I’d say that the President “grossly misstated” the true nature of these incidents, but that would be inaccurate. It was a lie to willfully misstate that the actions of a couple of individuals were instead from the entire audience.

In the meantime, this same President, so eager to condemn conservatives for what two individuals did (do we know if they’re even conservatives?) was silent when 500 men from guest of honor Trumka’s group stormed a port, took hostages, and damaged property (don’t forget, Trumka sat with the First Lady at Obama’s jobs address that same night).

Can Obama Win Re-Election?

October 2, 2011 1 comment

I was part of a panel a few days ago on politics, culture and the media. And the first question put to us was right to the point: “Can Barack Obama win re-election?”

Political guru Dick Morris, Tea Party unofficial leader Dick Armey, a scholar from the Heritage Foundation all said no. It’s tough to argue with that. President Obama’s approval ratings are not good and most Americans think we’re on the wrong track. He’s lost support from his key constituents, including Jewish voters and African-Americans. Worst of all for the president, independents who supported him in 2008 have jumped ship in big numbers.

Like the others, Dick Armey offered a smart analysis of why Obama is in big trouble. But unlike the others, he ended his analysis saying, quietly and almost as an afterthought, Obama won’t win, “Unless the Republicans nominate the wrong candidate.”

That’s like saying, “Besides that Mrs. Lincoln, how’d you enjoy the play?”

“Unless the Republicans pick the wrong candidate” is hardly a throwaway line, despite the fact that that’s how it was delivered. It just may be the single most important consideration in this whole discussion.

I was the odd man out on the panel. I said, Yes, Barack Obama can be re-elected – but it won’t be because the economy is in great shape on Election Day. And it won’t be because the unemployment rate has dropped from nine percent to six percent, or seven percent or even eight percent. It won’t be because a majority of Americans do an about face and suddenly believe the nation is on the right track, I said. And it won’t be because al qaeda has raised the white flag and said Barack Obama was the reason they were putting an end to their evil ways.

If Barack Obama wins……………

Despite their honest intentions, many of the Occupy Wall Street protesters are being suckered into a trap and calling for the very “solutions” that are part of the financial elite’s agenda to torpedo the American middle class – higher taxes and more big government.

Watch the clip below in which journalist Adam Kokesh talks to Occupy Wall Street protesters.

The ignorance displayed in this interviews knows no bounds. These protesters just don’t get it. They are calling for the government to use force to impose their ideas, all in the name of bringing down corporations who they don’t realize have completely bought off government regulators. Corporations and government enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship – getting one to regulate the other is asinine and only hurts smaller businesses who are legitimately trying to compete in a free market economy that barely exists.

The zeal for totalitarian government amongst some of the “protesters” is shocking. One sign being carried around read, “A government is an entity which holds the monopolistic right to initiate force,” which seems a little ironic when protesters complain about being physically assaulted by police in the same breath…………..

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Sunday he supports the Obama administration‘s decision to repeal the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy banning gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military — a move that was staunchly opposed by most top Republicans.

“I think the decision that’s been made with respect to allowing gays to serve openly in the military is a good one” Cheney told CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.” “It’s the right thing to do.”

The policy, first enacted during the Clinton administration, was officially repealed on September 20. Over 14,000 people were kicked out of the military due to “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

The controversial repeal of the policy became a focal point of a GOP presidential debate last month when members of the audience booed a gay soldier who asked about the decision. President Barack Obama criticized the Republican presidential contenders on Saturday night for failing to rebuke the audience.

“We don’t believe in standing silent when that happens,” Obama told attendees at the annual National Dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that promotes equality for gays and lesbians…..

A Rising Liberal Bureaucratic Nightmare!| The Post & Email

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

This rising power of the executive branch has played havoc with the “Separation of Powers” doctrine as instituted by the Framers of the Constitution, where the three main branches of government were supposed to act to limit the power of any one branch. With the advance of bureaucracies throughout all levels of government, the chief executive of any political jurisdiction, from the President, to the governors of the states, to county executives, to the mayors of cities, have all increased their power over the people by virtue of their authority over the bureaucracies. The executive branch has taken on the trappings of a king.

But here is the rub. Bureaucracies are staffed by people who come out of our liberal colleges. Thus, the staff of the bureaucracies has a liberal mindset and promotes liberal policies, liberal philosophies and liberal agendas, and this liberal mindset falls under the authority of the Executive Branch of government.

Consequently, any rules that are promulgated by the bureaucracies and come before the legislative bodies for adoption, or adopted within the bureaucracy itself, will always have a liberal bias in them. This results in an institutionalized liberal bias in all rule-making by bureaucracies and forces the people to live under liberal policies without any other positions being considered. Liberals have essentially become a “Force Majeure” (superior force) throughout all levels of our government, not to mention the mainstream media…………………

The GOP establishment trap…..

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

The whisper campaign has started already: Herman Cain can’t be elected president. It doesn’t matter that a poll this week by Rasmussen Reports shows Mr. Cain barely outside the margin of error in a head-to-head match-up against President Obama. In Republican offices in Washington and in state capitals across the nation, party functionaries are talking down one of the most attractive new personalities to emerge in national politics in years. This self-destructive behavior has less to do with electoral pragmatism than it does establishment control of the political process.

Party officials tend to be afraid of the new guy – especially if he’s outspokenly pure on thorny issues – because they like to go with the most predictable option, which typically means an incumbent or party regular. This is construed as playing it safe, but candidates who are spun as a “sure thing” often can’t win, especially during volatile election cycles when voters are anxious for new blood. As Rush Limbaugh reminded listeners on his Thursday show, new conservative star Marco Rubio wouldn’t be in the U.S. Senate today if Florida activists hadn’t rolled the GOP machine, which had gone all-out to nominate squishy Gov. Charlie Crist. Once jilted, the governor tried to get hitched to the Democrats and ended up limping along as an embarrassing, sour-grapes independent candidate.

In the Rubio case, Republicans fought the Tea Party, and the Tea Party won. It’s a lesson that needs to be learned if the elephants don’t want to ruin a grand opportunity to gain ruling control of Congress and the White House next year. The GOP’s conservative base is bursting with enthusiasm, but this activism isn’t motivated only to overthrow Barack Obama but also to elect politicians who are serious about cutting down government to save America from looming bankruptcy…

BEWARE: the President’s private Army is…US

October 2, 2011 1 comment

If anyone believed the autocratic arrogance responsible for the infamous MIAC Report was on the wane, rest assured that a believer in absolute authority like Barack Obama will never give up his totalitarian dreams of dominating the American public. He’ll just resort to a change of tack.

For those who don’t remember the Regime’s initial assault on our Constitutional liberties, it was neatly housed in a report entitled “The Modern Militia Movement.”

Crafted in 2009 by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), it presumed to provide the American public with warning signs to help identify the traits and proclivities of the potential domestic terrorist.

Written by one of 58 national “fusion centers” developed under the Department of Homeland Security during the Bush Administration, the MIAC report profiled as potential terrorists: anyone who supported 3rd party candidates, like Ron Paul or Bob Barr; anti-abortion advocates; members of the Constitution Party or Campaign for Liberty; Libertarians and those displaying signs of militia involvement, such as ownership of a Gadsden (Don’t Tread On Me) flag!

Of course, members of the NRA, gun owners and 2nd Amendment supporters clearly merited watching!

But given the national outcry over that ham-handed effort, the White House decided it would be advisable to tone down the overtly fascist rhetoric.

So last month, thanks to Obama’s continuing concern for the well-being of his flock, the American people were given a new manual for spying on our neighbor: “Empowering Local Partners to Prevent Violent Extremism in the United States.”

Bank of America’s $5 Debit Fee: How Bad Will the Backlash Be?

October 2, 2011 3 comments

(The news that BofA customers will soon shoulder a monthly charge for debit purchases sparks outrage — and threats to abandon the bank altogether.)

Bank of America, proclaiming that its bottom line is hurt by new legislation that limits how much money banks can charge retailers for the privilege of letting customers pay with debit cards, announced that it will make up for those losses by charging customers a $5 monthly fee. The fee takes effect in 2012 and affects any customer who makes debit purchases. ATM and credit card transactions will remain free. Predictably, the bank’s customers are not happy. Fox Business Network‘s Gerri Willis even cut up her debit card on air. The company’s stock tumbled Friday morning following the news, and customers are threatening to leave the bank.

How much will this backlash hurt BofA?

Customers are going to jump ship: “I’ve been a more-or-less satisfied Bank of America customer for years,” says Jon Gorey at The Street. But if the bank intends to charge a $5 monthly fee for “something I can do elsewhere for free, I’m gone.” There are plenty of other options, including local banks and online-only competitors like ING Direct, which, unlike Bank of America, aren’t charging any fees for debit use. “Thank you, competitive free market.”

This could spell the end of debit: It’s easy for customers to avoid these fees, says Daniel Indiviglio at The Atlantic. “They just have to stop using their debit cards.” And it’s likely that they will. A $5-a-month fee to use debit “would push me not to use it in any case other than emergencies” — especially when that fee doesn’t apply to withdrawing cash from an ATM or using a credit card. Indeed, “debit could fade away altogether.” “Did Congress kill the debit card?”

Hold on. BofA might change its mind: Sadly, Bank of America isn’t the only bank set to start charging debit fees, says Sarah Halzack at The Washington Post. But many see the new fees as “trial balloons” — they’re testing customers to see how many will tolerate the charges. Consumers should continue to be vocal about their displeasure with these banks, “as they might ax the fee if enough customers gripe about it.” “In wake of Bank of America’s new debit charge, tips on how to avoid fees”

Actually, Bank of America may win this fight: For now, angry customers are threatening to abandon the bank, says Jessica Dickler at CNN. But it’s Bank of America “that could have the last laugh.” After all, changing banks isn’t exactly a breeze.

Once consumers realize the hassle of it all — from having checks printed to switching their automatic payments — they’re likely going to suck it up and stay with Bank of America.

In Defense of Barack Obama—Sort of:

Except for the fact that it is not just Obama.

The same type of mind-numbing arrogance and shortsightedness that has hold on Obama also has its clutches around the minds of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Barbara Boxer, Barney Frank, and countless other progressives from coast-to-coast.

In fact, I would risk my lifetime membership in the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy of America by stating that Obama is not the major problem in America today.

In fact, it is the ideological snake pit of liberalism that is responsible for every ill in the world.

Obama is but symptom of a calamitous dumbing down of the species.

Which is not to say that Obama does not have to go. He does, but even with this misfit out of the picture, there is one hell of a lot of work that we conservatives will have left to do if there is any hope for saving America……….

Wall Street: Which Side Are You On? [by revolutionary communist/Obama comrade, Van Jones]

October 2, 2011 2 comments

Wall Street has long been the home of the biggest threat to American Democracy [from the viewpoint of communists of course -ETL]. Now it has become home to what may be our best hope for rescuing it.

[snip]

We call ourselves the American Dream Movement [they should call themselves 'The American Nightmare Movement' -ETL]. We engaged 130,000 people to crowd-source our own jobs agenda — the Contract for the American Dream. In August, tens of thousands demonstrated for jobs in rallies across the nation. Next week in DC, we host our first national gathering: the Take Back The American Dream conference.

The Occupation of Wall Street — and the occupations throughout the country — are expressions of the same spirit and dynamic. And these particular demonstrations, perhaps uniquely, contain the spark to grow into a movement that can be transformative ["transformative"?, sound familiar: "We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America" --B.H.Obama, 2008 -ETL]. They are the first, small step in the creation of a movement that can restore American Democracy, and renew the American Dream [ie, communism here in America -ETL].

The hundreds of young people from all five boroughs that camp out every night, in the heart of the financial district, in the rain and the cold, at risk of arrest, are providing the inspiration to draw more and more out of the shadows and into the bright light of the public square. The occupation grows larger and more diverse every day. Young people, the majority of whom are under 25 and have never before engaged in activism, are managing the arduous task of a consensus rules meeting with no sound system. The nightly general assemblies are attracting crowds in the thousands to stand amongst a group of their peers and debate our path forward as a people.

The occupation is a revival of a proud tradition of authentic, people-powered movements that have been dormant [ie, the 60s-era communist movement -ETL] — and that we need now more than ever. It is building into the kind of massive public demonstrations — like those in Egypt, Madison, and Santiago — that can shake the foundation of a system of power that has lost sight of the public good [ie, Capitalism bad, Communism good -ETL].

Now is our time to choose. Will we keep rewarding those whose financial manipulations have brought us to ruin? Or will we stand with those whose democratic innovations are breathing life into our finest ideals? [ie, Capitalism or Communism -ETL] Both groups are within blocks of each other in downtown Manhattan.

For the past 30 years, the country has stood behind the titans on Wall Street and their values. We listened when they said that their banks were too big too fail. Today, there is only one thing that’s too big to fail: the dreams of this new generation, finding its voice in Liberty Park. All of America should now stand with them [all of America should help bring down the Capitalist System???, the best, most prosperous economic system the world has ever known! -ETL].

Over 700 Protesters Arrested On Brooklyn Bridge … Claim Entrapment

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

More than 700 protesters demonstrating against corporate greed, global warming and social inequality, among other grievances, were arrested Saturday after they swarmed the Brooklyn Bridge and shut down a lane of traffic for several hours in a tense confrontation with police.

Some of the protesters claim they were entrapped, but the police deny this allegation. As AP notes:

Some of the protesters said they were lured onto the roadway by police, or they didn’t hear the calls from authorities to head to the pedestrian walkway. Police said no one was tricked into being arrested, and those in the back of the group who couldn’t hear were allowed to leave.

“Multiple warnings by police were given to protesters to stay on the pedestrian walkway and that if they took roadway they would be arrested,” said Paul Browne, the chief spokesman of the New York Police Department.

They point to videos of police allegedly “leading” protesters onto the roadway:

There are also reports that police arrested the people running the livestream feed of the protests. While this may fit with the theme of police harassing journalists, we cannot yet confirm this particular story.

Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested on Brooklyn Bridge

October 2, 2011 Leave a comment

Hundreds held by NYPD – including New York Times journalist – after attempted march across bridge ends in chaos

More than 700 people were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday evening during a march by anti-Wall Street protesters who have been occupying a downtown Manhattan square for two weeks.

The group, called Occupy Wall Street, has been protesting against the finance industry and other perceived social ills by camping out in Zuccotti park in New York.

During the afternoon a long line of protesters numbering several thousand snaked through the streets towards the landmark bridge across the East River with the aim of ending at a Brooklyn park.

However, during the march across the bridge groups of protesters sat down or strayed into the road from the pedestrian pathway. They were then arrested in large numbers by officers who were part of a heavy police presence shepherding the march along its path.

At one stage 500 protesters were blocked off by police on the bridge. At least one journalist, freelancer Natasha Lennard for the New York Times, was among those arrested. “About half way across the group of people who wanted to occupy the bridge launched their action and stepped into the road. They wanted to get arrested. It was sort of the idea,” said Yaier Heber, one of the marchers.

Sins of the Generals: Heroes, Shame and Tarnished Brass:

Capt John McKenna is a hero who paid the ultimate price by going after a wounded Marine lying in an enemy kill zone. Capt McKenna’s dedication to one of his wounded Marines sets an exceptional standard in both physical and moral courage.

His demonstration of courage is a leadership example that is not being followed by US general officers associated with the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Instead of demonstrating courage, our general officers are cowering behind political dogma and marching down the halls of congress with “tarnished brass” and that tarnish is a sad and shameful state of affairs.

WHO OR WHAT IS THE SECRET SERVICE PROTECTING IF OBAMA IS AN IMPOSTOR?

submitted by a relative of Daryn Moran

Daryn Moran has traveled to Washington, DC in an attempt to expose fraud committed by Barack Hussein Obama. He has met with members of the Secret Service and Capitol Police. Do these taxpayer-funded public servants know about Obama’s allegedly forged birth certificate?

(Oct. 2, 2011) — The following was reported to The Post & Email on October 1, 2011 by a close relative of Daryn Moran, who formerly served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marines:

Just finished talking with Daryn. He does not always have internet access to send updates so he ask me to do so. He’s now in DC. Already the Capital Police and two Secret Service Agents have been to his hotel room. Daryn said that one of the Agents “told” him to leave DC. The Agent “instructed” Daryn to contact him by 11AM, Saturday. The Agent subsequently phoned me. We talked for about 45 minutes. We discussed the rights U.S. citizens are granted by the U.S. Constitution. It was noted that Daryn is exercising his Constitutional rights and has done nothing unlawful. I assured him that Daryn has no desire to harm the president but is exercising the rights afforded him by the First Amendment to The Constitution of the United States. I am concerned for my son’s safety. He needs many of the people familiar with his efforts; “to support and defend the Constitution of the United States”, to stand with him NOW! Thank You All…………………

So less than nine months after President Obama pronounces pious words about talking “in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds,” the Obama White House sends out a designated hitter to accuse a respected author of a “drive-by shooting” of the president and his advisers.
