When the media doesn’t like the news it smothers it especially if it’s good Second Amendment news
In spite of liberal bleating about more hand guns surely leading to more gun violence, in spite of predictions of a return to “Old West” style settling of arguments by gunfights and attacks on the Supreme Court as being “unwise” for affirming the right of Americans to keep guns in their homes, the sky did not fall. Gun we have learned, really don’t kill me after all.
Data just released by Chicago shows gun crimes and murder rates are down and substantially down in Washington D.C. since the right to individual ownership of guns was forcibly returned to the people.
In the first six months of this year Chicago’s murder rate dropped 14% providing the largest semi annual decrease since 1982 when Richard Daley decided he knew better what was good for his constituents and rammed through his draconian anti second Amendment laws.
….Heller Decision dragged Washington DC, back to the Constitution in 2008 the murder rate ……dropped 2 ½ times faster than it has in the rest of the country. Compared to pre- Heller times, murders in DC are down by 34% gun assaults are down 37% and robberies with guns involved are off by 25%.
Not surprisingly we have heard nothing like the din that would follow the predicted catastrophes the Left is always crying about.
Comparing Florida to Illinois
Despite the clear evidence from Chicago ………. Illinois stands alone as the only state that continues to ban lawful citizens from carrying concealed handguns.
Of course, the State with the worst debt crisis insists it knows how its citizens should protect themselves even if it knows nothing about running its own affairs.
By comparison a new law in Florida compels local officials, including police chiefs, to follow state laws..

FDR at War: How Expanded Power, National Debt, Restricted Civil Liberties Shaped Wartime America
Actual Title:FDR Goes to War: How Expanded Executive Power, Spiraling National Debt, and Restricted Civil Liberties Shaped Wartime America
Reviews:”FDR Goes to War is a page-turning tour de force — and a scholarly one, at that — of the politics and economics of America’s involvement in WWII. Be prepared to rethink much of what you think you know about FDR, the war, and the post-Depression U.S. economy.” –Don Bordreaux, Chairman of the Department of Economics at George Mason University
“In New Deal or Raw Deal? Burt Folsom exposed FDR’s failed policies during the Great Depression. Now, in FDR Goes to War, he pulls the curtain back even further. Burt and Anita Folsom have produced a book that should be read by all Americans. This is the real history you do not find in textbooks.” — James P. Duffy, author of Lindbergh Vs. Roosevelt
“Few in the history profession have done more to shed light on the real Franklin Delano Roosevelt than Burt Folsom. With FDR Goes to War, Folsom and his wife Anita educate Americans on the facts we should have known but were never taught. You will find this book both shocking and refreshing.” — Lawrence W. Reed, president, Foundation for Economic Education
“A compelling look at a fascinating man in a devastating war. This is the FDR concealed for over half a century by liberal academics and biased journalists. You will learn a lot from this engaging and readable book.” — Paul Kengor, professor of political science, Grove City College, and author of Dupes

Mental hospital wants to release failed Reagan assassin John Hinckley Jr.
Washington (CNN) — The government mental hospital where John Hinckley Jr. has spent most of the last 30 years since he shot and tried to kill President Ronald Reagan is asking a federal court to allow Hinckley’s eventual release to live with or near his aging mother in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The prosecution, in its own filing with the court on Friday, described Hinckley as “a man capable of great violence” and said his mental condition has not improved to the point of eliminating concerns “that this violence may be repeated.”
U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman has scheduled up to a week of court hearings on the issue to start November 28, the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Hinckley is now 56. He was committed to St. Elizabeths Hospital in 1982 after a jury found him innocent by reason of insanity in the shooting of President Reagan and three others, including the president’s severely wounded press secretary, James Brady.
The hospital’s lawyers and doctors filed their motion under seal, withheld from the public, when they asked at the end of this past July that Hinckley eventually be placed on “convalescent leave.”

Occupy Wall Street…
The movement known as Occupy Wall Street has been going on since September 17th, 2011. It is now
showing to the world that the constitutional rights of the American people do not exist. There is no right to peaceful assembly and to see NYPD at its finest acting like communist thugs, is a sign of the times and what awaits us on the horizon. The Internet is the only real news any more for everything else is in some way tainted. The majority of the news broadcasts are skipping this story of covering it very, very little.

It is a shame that Wall Street gets all the blame. It is not the stock brokers nor is it the “corporate greed” of every corporation lumped together that is to blame. The corruption that has turned the country inside-out is the Market Manipulators who for decades now have been trying to rig the game to make that Perfect Trade with no risk. To me, they are not even real men. They hide behind the mask of Wall Street when they are not part of the system at all. They are simply parasites who lack the intelligence to actually trade and stand upon their own research. Instead, they pay bribes to Russian officials to recall platinum for a pretend inventory so they can screw the auto producers. They are the Market Manipulators that move silver from New York to London to pretend there is a shortage. They are the Market Manipulators who bribe IMF officials to keep loans going to Russia so they can buy bonds at 30% interest rates. They are the Market Manipulators that constructed time bombs out of mortgages and ensured the rating agencies would bless them as AAA so they could sell them to everyone.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is NOT Wall Street! This is a dark back ally that feels safe because they control the press, the courts, the Justice Department, Congress, and local police. They line the pockets of politicians to run for office. They stack government with their own people in unelected jobs. In the end, it is not corporate greed, it is the greed of Market Manipulators that are simply a parasite that feed upon the system and anyone who dares to expose them, and they will attack with a vengeance using the police powers of government and label what they say as conspiracy theory to discredit their accusers. Yes America “Do not go gentle into that good night / Rage, rage against the dying of the light” of freedom and liberty as Dylan Thomas put so elegantly. But rage wisely. Do not be fooled and attack the decoy. If you want reform, know who your enemy truly is! It is not Wall Street. It is the parasites that feed on it.

Larry Holmes leaving Larry Holmes Drive (former champ “Going Galt”)
Former heavyweight champ says he’s tired of higher taxes, plans to move restaurant from downtown Easton.
By Andrew McGill, Of The Morning Call
9:22 p.m. EDT, September 30, 2011
Larry Holmes is angry. The guys didn’t mop behind the bar. They just rubbed it down with some rags.
He’s pretty sure he told them not to do that.
“Just go get some cleaner!” he bellows across the phone. “Whatever you need!”
He apologizes. The former heavyweight world champion has a lot on his mind, after all: bills, taxes and, after a decade and a half, a hurried departure from the street the city named after him.
For the first time, Larry Holmes Drive won’t have Larry Holmes.
Holmes is closing Larry Holmes Ringside Restaurant & Lounge, the establishment he built on the waterfront in the mid-1990s amid the height of Easton’s urban decay. He’s put the building up for sale for $2.1 million — “Do you want to buy it?” he asks — and plans to move to his former Canal Street gym on Easton’s South Side.
What’s driving him out, he says, is the one opponent he can’t beat: a crush of higher taxes, both from Easton Area School District and Mayor Sal Panto Jr.’s controversial Neighborhood Improvement District proposal. The improvement district proposal alone could bump up his annual bill by about $3,600.

The Freedom To Choose Your Pronoun
A FEW weeks ago, Katy Butler, 16, updated her status on Facebook with an enthusiastic shout-out for Google+, the social network’s latest rival. “Oh my God Google! I love it! I was signing up for Google+ and they asked me my gender and the choices were male, female or OTHER!!!!! Oh ya Google!”
Katy, a high school junior in Ann Arbor, Mich., first encountered “other” as a gender option at a meeting of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allies (LGBTQQA) in seventh grade. “For those of us in the nonconforming gender community, it is great to see Google make the option more mainstream,” she said.
Though Google created the “other” option for privacy reasons rather than as a transgender choice, young supporters of preferred gender pronouns (or P.G.P.’s as they are called) could not help but rejoice. Katy is one of a growing number of high school and college students who are questioning the gender roles society assigns individuals simply because they have been born male or female.
“You have to understand, this has nothing to do with your sexuality and everything to do with who you feel like inside,” Katy said, explaining that at the start of every LGBTQQA meeting, participants are first asked if they would like to share their P.G.P.’s. “Mine are ‘she,’ ‘her’ and ‘hers’ and sometimes ‘they,’ ‘them’ and ‘theirs.’ ”
P.G.P.’s can change as often as one likes. If the pronouns in the dictionary don’t suffice, there are numerous made-up ones now in use, including “ze,” “hir” and “hirs,” words that connote both genders because, as Katy explained, “Maybe one day you wake up and feel more like a boy.”
Teenagers are by nature prone to rebellion against adult conventions, and as the gender nonconformity movement gains momentum among young people

NY Times Freaks Out After Judge Upholds Most of Alabama’s Immigration Law
How significant was Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn‘s ruling upholding key sections of Alabama’s H.B. 56 immigration law? Well, just ask the New York Times, which flipped out over it in their lead editorial:
A federal judge has upheld most of Alabama’s new immigration law, the nation’s harshest and most radical attempt to harness a state’s power to find and punish illegal immigrants. The consequences for Alabamans will be serious — not just for the undocumented, but for their blameless citizen children, for those who are mistaken for unauthorized immigrants and for farmers and other business owners ensnared in the law.
“Harsh”, “radical”, “find…punish”, “unauthorized immigrants”. Read enough of the Times’ editorial and you might actually forget that illegal immigration is, well, ILLEGAL.
While the Times is relieved that Judge Blackburn suspended (pending trial) sections making it a crime to “harbor or transport” illegals, barring illegals from public universities, and preventing day laborers from seeking work, they spared no hyperbole to describe the sections she upheld which do no more than uphold Federal immigration laws on the books:
But her mixed ruling was most discouraging for what survived. Judge Blackburn upheld the “papers, please” section, an echo of Arizona’s notorious attempt to require state and local law enforcement officials to check a person’s immigration status during traffic stops if they have “a reasonable suspicion” that someone is here illegally.
She upheld a section that criminalized the “willful failure” of an illegal immigrant to carry federal immigration papers.
Ah, the old “Papers, please” reference to Nazi Germany, suggesting that checking people’s IDs is akin to the Nazis checking “papers” for Jews or political opponents to arrest or otherwise persecute. But what if you are here in the U.S. legally, as a Permanent Resident? Well, you get a “green card” to prove it.
And what is the Federal law for green card holders regarding carrying the ID? It is written right on Form I-797, which all holders receive:
Hmm…what does that say? Let’s take a closer look…
Wow, those evil Nazis at Homeland Security mandate that green card holders carry their “papers” at “all times”! And those are LEGAL immigrants. How outrageous! I am expecting a follow-up editorial from the Times decrying this Fascist mandate.

The time has come to act. The Occupy Wall Street action is a good example, one that I hope grows and is supported.
by Vic Pittman
The country has been taken over by sociopathic liars, torturers, thieves and people who will start wars and kill innocent people for PROFIT.
One of my biggest criticisms of Neo-Con blowhards like Limbaugh and O’Reilly is that they whine and complain but offer no viable solutions. I have been guilty of the same thing. It is easy to point out glaring injustices and obvious wrongs, but then what?

Who’s really behind Wall Street protests?
As the news media struggles to find a unifying theme behind the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters, a closer look at the activists behind the agitation reveals a transformative agenda aimed at assaulting U.S. capitalism.
The New York Times on Friday featured a video depicting the motivation of the Wall Street protesters without disclosing the radical background of some of those featured in the newspaper’s piece.
The video was entitled, “The young and old on what they hope to accomplish by joining the Occupy Wall Street demonstration in Zuccotti Park.”
One activist interviewed was Bev Rice, who has been sending online updates of the protests to the War Resisters League, where she has been an activist.
The League was one of the first radical groups to blame America for the 9-11 attacks.
On the very day of the 9-11 attacks, the League released a statement alleging, “The policies of militarism pursued by the United States have resulted in millions of deaths. … [M]ay these profound tragedies [of 9/11] remind us of the impact U.S. policies have had on other civilians in other lands.”
Here’s the rundown on Obama’s ties to “communists, socialists and other anti-American extremists” – all in “The Manchurian President.”
Another activist interviewed by the Times was holding a placard that quoted John F. Kennedy stating, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.”
Yet another was donning a red Kafiya, or Arabic headscarf with a specific pattern that has come to symbolize so-called Palestinian “resistance” against Israel. That style of Kafiya was popularized by Yasser Arafat.
The Occupy Wall Street movement launched two weeks ago and has been escalating ever since.
Earlier, police closed the Brooklyn Bridge and arrested more than 700 anti-Wall Street protesters for blocking traffic lanes and attempting an unauthorized march across the span.
The protests reportedly spread across the U.S., including to Boston, Seattle and Los Angeles. The organizers’ exact motivation has until now been sketchy.

JP Morgan Funded NYPD Mass Arrests Over 700 Peaceful Occupy Wall Street Protesters
The NYPD has arrested over 700 protesters who were occupying the Brooklyn Bridge in what could very well be a defining moment in the battle for freedom and liberty in America.
The police apparently corralled the protesters(depending on whose story you believe) onto the Brooklyn Bridge and then started their arrests of American citizens protesting the very banks that have destroyed this country from within.
The NYPD is essentially doing the dirty work for the banks, which makes complete sense when you consider the fact that JP Morgan actually FUNDS The New York City Police Department.
That’s right, the very police department that has been filmed numerous times beating and macing the Occupy Wall Street protesters has received a considerable amount of money from the very banks that the protesters are targeting!

This is an obvious conflict of interest that the NYPD and corporate controlled media do not want you to know or talk about.
Obviously there are good people on the NYPD force but how are we supposed to believe that the NYPD as a whole just wants to protect their city when they are funded by the very banksters being targeted by the Occupy Wall Street protests?

Hairy, crazy ants invade from Texas to Miss.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — It sounds like a horror movie: Biting ants invade by the millions. A camper’s metal walls bulge from the pressure of ants nesting behind them. A circle of poison stops them for only a day, and then a fresh horde shows up, bringing babies. Stand in the yard, and in seconds ants cover your shoes. It’s an extreme example of what can happen when the ants — which also can disable huge industrial plants — go unchecked. Controlling them can cost thousands of dollars. But the story is real, told by someone who’s been studying ants for a decade.
“Months later, I could close my eyes and see them moving,” said Joe MacGown, who curates the ant, mosquito and scarab collections at the Mississippi State Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University.
He’s been back to check on the hairy crazy ants. They’re still around. The occupant isn’t.
The flea-sized critters are called crazy because each forager scrambles randomly at a speed that your average picnic ant, marching one by one, reaches only in video fast-forward. They’re called hairy because of fuzz that, to the naked eye, makes their abdomens look less glossy than those of their slower, bigger cousins.
And they’re on the move in Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. In Texas, they’ve invaded homes and industrial complexes, urban areas and rural areas. They travel in cargo containers, hay bales, potted plants, motorcycles and moving vans. They overwhelm beehives — one Texas beekeeper was losing 100 a year in 2009. They short out industrial equipment.
If one gets electrocuted, its death releases a chemical cue to attack a threat to the colony, said Roger Gold, an entomology professor at Texas A&M.
“The other ants rush in. Before long, you have a ball of ants,” he said.

Bank of America’s $5 Debit Fee: How Bad Will the Backlash Be?
(The news that BofA customers will soon shoulder a monthly charge for debit purchases sparks outrage — and threats to abandon the bank altogether.)
Bank of America, proclaiming that its bottom line is hurt by new legislation that limits how much money banks can charge retailers for the privilege of letting customers pay with debit cards, announced that it will make up for those losses by charging customers a $5 monthly fee. The fee takes effect in 2012 and affects any customer who makes debit purchases. ATM and credit card transactions will remain free. Predictably, the bank’s customers are not happy. Fox Business Network‘s Gerri Willis even cut up her debit card on air. The company’s stock tumbled Friday morning following the news, and customers are threatening to leave the bank.
How much will this backlash hurt BofA?
Customers are going to jump ship: “I’ve been a more-or-less satisfied Bank of America customer for years,” says Jon Gorey at The Street. But if the bank intends to charge a $5 monthly fee for “something I can do elsewhere for free, I’m gone.” There are plenty of other options, including local banks and online-only competitors like ING Direct, which, unlike Bank of America, aren’t charging any fees for debit use. “Thank you, competitive free market.”
This could spell the end of debit: It’s easy for customers to avoid these fees, says Daniel Indiviglio at The Atlantic. “They just have to stop using their debit cards.” And it’s likely that they will. A $5-a-month fee to use debit “would push me not to use it in any case other than emergencies” — especially when that fee doesn’t apply to withdrawing cash from an ATM or using a credit card. Indeed, “debit could fade away altogether.” “Did Congress kill the debit card?”
Hold on. BofA might change its mind: Sadly, Bank of America isn’t the only bank set to start charging debit fees, says Sarah Halzack at The Washington Post. But many see the new fees as “trial balloons” — they’re testing customers to see how many will tolerate the charges. Consumers should continue to be vocal about their displeasure with these banks, “as they might ax the fee if enough customers gripe about it.” “In wake of Bank of America’s new debit charge, tips on how to avoid fees”
Actually, Bank of America may win this fight: For now, angry customers are threatening to abandon the bank, says Jessica Dickler at CNN. But it’s Bank of America “that could have the last laugh.” After all, changing banks isn’t exactly a breeze.
Once consumers realize the hassle of it all — from having checks printed to switching their automatic payments — they’re likely going to suck it up and stay with Bank of America.

Wall Street: Which Side Are You On? [by revolutionary communist/Obama comrade, Van Jones]
Wall Street has long been the home of the biggest threat to American Democracy [from the viewpoint of communists of course -ETL]. Now it has become home to what may be our best hope for rescuing it.
[snip]
We call ourselves the American Dream Movement [they should call themselves 'The American Nightmare Movement' -ETL]. We engaged 130,000 people to crowd-source our own jobs agenda — the Contract for the American Dream. In August, tens of thousands demonstrated for jobs in rallies across the nation. Next week in DC, we host our first national gathering: the Take Back The American Dream conference.
The Occupation of Wall Street — and the occupations throughout the country — are expressions of the same spirit and dynamic. And these particular demonstrations, perhaps uniquely, contain the spark to grow into a movement that can be transformative ["transformative"?, sound familiar: "We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America" --B.H.Obama, 2008 -ETL]. They are the first, small step in the creation of a movement that can restore American Democracy, and renew the American Dream [ie, communism here in America -ETL].
The hundreds of young people from all five boroughs that camp out every night, in the heart of the financial district, in the rain and the cold, at risk of arrest, are providing the inspiration to draw more and more out of the shadows and into the bright light of the public square. The occupation grows larger and more diverse every day. Young people, the majority of whom are under 25 and have never before engaged in activism, are managing the arduous task of a consensus rules meeting with no sound system. The nightly general assemblies are attracting crowds in the thousands to stand amongst a group of their peers and debate our path forward as a people.
The occupation is a revival of a proud tradition of authentic, people-powered movements that have been dormant [ie, the 60s-era communist movement -ETL] — and that we need now more than ever. It is building into the kind of massive public demonstrations — like those in Egypt, Madison, and Santiago — that can shake the foundation of a system of power that has lost sight of the public good [ie, Capitalism bad, Communism good -ETL].
Now is our time to choose. Will we keep rewarding those whose financial manipulations have brought us to ruin? Or will we stand with those whose democratic innovations are breathing life into our finest ideals? [ie, Capitalism or Communism -ETL] Both groups are within blocks of each other in downtown Manhattan.
For the past 30 years, the country has stood behind the titans on Wall Street and their values. We listened when they said that their banks were too big too fail. Today, there is only one thing that’s too big to fail: the dreams of this new generation, finding its voice in Liberty Park. All of America should now stand with them [all of America should help bring down the Capitalist System???, the best, most prosperous economic system the world has ever known! -ETL].

Over 700 Protesters Arrested On Brooklyn Bridge … Claim Entrapment
More than 700 protesters demonstrating against corporate greed, global warming and social inequality, among other grievances, were arrested Saturday after they swarmed the Brooklyn Bridge and shut down a lane of traffic for several hours in a tense confrontation with police.
Some of the protesters claim they were entrapped, but the police deny this allegation. As AP notes:
Some of the protesters said they were lured onto the roadway by police, or they didn’t hear the calls from authorities to head to the pedestrian walkway. Police said no one was tricked into being arrested, and those in the back of the group who couldn’t hear were allowed to leave.
“Multiple warnings by police were given to protesters to stay on the pedestrian walkway and that if they took roadway they would be arrested,” said Paul Browne, the chief spokesman of the New York Police Department.
They point to videos of police allegedly “leading” protesters onto the roadway:

Harrassment of Journalists?
There are also reports that police arrested the people running the livestream feed of the protests. While this may fit with the theme of police harassing journalists, we cannot yet confirm this particular story.

Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested on Brooklyn Bridge
Hundreds held by NYPD – including New York Times journalist – after attempted march across bridge ends in chaos
More than 700 people were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday evening during a march by anti-Wall Street protesters who have been occupying a downtown Manhattan square for two weeks.
The group, called Occupy Wall Street, has been protesting against the finance industry and other perceived social ills by camping out in Zuccotti park in New York.
During the afternoon a long line of protesters numbering several thousand snaked through the streets towards the landmark bridge across the East River with the aim of ending at a Brooklyn park.
However, during the march across the bridge groups of protesters sat down or strayed into the road from the pedestrian pathway. They were then arrested in large numbers by officers who were part of a heavy police presence shepherding the march along its path.
At one stage 500 protesters were blocked off by police on the bridge. At least one journalist, freelancer Natasha Lennard for the New York Times, was among those arrested. “About half way across the group of people who wanted to occupy the bridge launched their action and stepped into the road. They wanted to get arrested. It was sort of the idea,” said Yaier Heber, one of the marchers.

Capt John McKenna is a hero who paid the ultimate price by going after a wounded Marine lying in an enemy kill zone. Capt McKenna’s dedication to one of his wounded Marines sets an exceptional standard in both physical and moral courage.
His demonstration of courage is a leadership example that is not being followed by US general officers associated with the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Instead of demonstrating courage, our general officers are cowering behind political dogma and marching down the halls of congress with “tarnished brass” and that tarnish is a sad and shameful state of affairs.
